SMS Messaging Program

1. Who sends these messages, and who receives them

Messages are sent by Coachful on behalf of the coach or organization the recipient booked with. Every message begins with the Coachful sender name.

Recipients are clients and prospective clients of those coaches who booked an appointment, registered for an event, or created an account, and who explicitly opted in to text messages at that moment by checking an unchecked consent box. Coachful never sends texts to a number that has not opted in.

Coachful runs two separate messaging programs, each with its own express written consent, its own wording, and its own opt-out. Agreeing to one is never treated as agreement to the other, and a person can receive one without the other:

• Transactional — appointment and event messages about a booking the recipient made. Described in sections 2 to 4 below.
• Marketing — promotional messages such as offers, launches, and event invitations. Described in section 5 below. Sent only to people who separately ticked the marketing consent box.

2. How consumers opt in

Opt-in is always a web form on coachful.co or a coach's Coachful subdomain (for example acme.coachful.co). The consumer types their own mobile number and ticks a consent box that is never pre-checked. Consent is optional and is not a condition of any purchase. These are the places opt-in can happen:

• Appointment booking pages, where a client picks a time with their coach
• Event and webinar registration pages
• Account signup, when a client creates a Coachful account
• Coach account settings, where a coach opts in to messages about their own schedule

When the box is ticked, Coachful stores a timestamped consent record containing the mobile number, the organization, the exact consent wording shown, its version, the IP address, and the browser user agent.

3. Required disclosures

• Message types: appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, cancellation and reschedule notices, and event registration confirmations and reminders. Transactional only — promotional messages require the separate opt-in described in section 5.
• Message frequency: message frequency varies, and depends on how many appointments or events the recipient books. A typical recipient receives roughly 2–6 messages per month.
• Cost: message and data rates may apply. Coachful does not charge recipients for these messages; charges depend on the recipient's wireless plan.
• Opt out at any time: reply STOP to unsubscribe. One final message confirms the unsubscribe, and no further messages are sent. Reply START to resubscribe.
• Help: reply HELP, or email support@coachful.co.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Marketing messages (separate opt-in)

Coaches may also invite people to receive promotional texts — offers, launches, and event invitations. This is a separate permission from the transactional program above. It is never on by default: a coach must switch it on for a specific form, and the visitor must tick a second, separately worded box that is never pre-checked. Declining it does not affect their booking, and does not stop their appointment reminders.

6. Privacy

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, excluding vendors and service providers acting solely on our behalf to deliver the messaging service.
