Coaching Bio Generator
Create a professional coaching bio that attracts your ideal clients in seconds.
A coaching bio is not a resume. It is the paragraph that makes the right client think "this person gets it." This generator writes three versions from your answers: a professional one for your website, a conversational one for about pages and podcasts, and a short one for social profiles.
How to use this tool
- 1
Enter your name, niche and years of experience. Add credentials if you have them; leave the field blank if you do not.
- 2
Describe your story or approach in a sentence or two. This is what makes the bio yours instead of generic.
- 3
Describe your ideal client. The bio is written to them, not about you.
- 4
Generate, pick the version you need, and edit two lines so it sounds like you speaking.
How to write a coaching bio that books calls
Open with the client's problem or the transformation, not your certification. "I help first-time managers stop dreading Monday" beats "I am an ICF-certified coach with 12 years of experience." Credentials come second, as proof, and a personal line comes third so the reader feels a human.
Write in first person for about pages and social; third person only for speaker bios and directories. Keep the short version under 80 words so it fits an Instagram or LinkedIn profile without truncation.
Where the bio goes
Website about page (long version), LinkedIn about section (conversational), Instagram and directory profiles (short), booking page and link-in-bio (one line). Keep the same core sentence across all of them so people recognise you.
Coachful uses your bio on your website, your booking pages and your Find a Coach directory profile, so you write it once.
Questions coaches ask
How long should a coaching bio be?
150 to 200 words for a website about page, 50 to 80 words for social profiles, and one sentence for a booking page or link-in-bio. The generator writes all three lengths from the same inputs.
Should a coaching bio be in first or third person?
First person on your own website and social profiles: it is warmer and reads like you. Third person for speaker introductions, podcasts and directories where someone else presents you.
What should a life coach bio include?
Who you help and with what, one line of proof (results, credentials or years), one line of story that explains why you do this, and how to take the next step. Skip the full list of certifications; link to it instead.
Is the coaching bio generator free?
Yes. Answer six questions and get three bios plus three tips. An email is asked for before the bios unlock so we can send you the text.
Can I use the bio on LinkedIn and Instagram?
Yes. Use the conversational version for LinkedIn's about section and the short version for Instagram, TikTok and directory profiles. Edit the first line so it matches the platform.
