What the connector can do

The public connector exposes a curated set of Coachful tools. It does not expose every action available inside Coachful.

Private Brain

Search permitted Brain sources, capture notes, record learning, and organize private pages when the matching opt-in permissions are granted.

Clients

Review client details, plans, notes, tasks, and goals. With write access, create private notes and update assigned work.

Programs

Read program structure, weeks, modules, and performance dashboards.

Website

Read design context and work with versioned pages and sections. Changes to an enabled site may be visible immediately.

Funnels

Inspect funnels, create inactive general funnel drafts, add non-payment steps, and edit layouts. Adding a step to an active funnel may affect a public experience.

Connect Coachful

The directory connection handles setup automatically. No API key or copied access token is required.

    Start from ChatGPT or Claude

    Choose Coachful from the relevant app or connector directory.

    Sign in to Coachful

    Use your normal Coachful account. The AI provider never receives your Coachful password.

    Choose one workspace and review access

    The consent screen lists the exact permissions requested. Brain and write access are separate opt-ins.

    Ask for the work you need

    The assistant can call only the public tools allowed by the permissions you granted.

    Disconnect at any time

    Revocation is immediate. Workspace membership is checked again on every request.

Manual or reviewer setup

Clients that support a custom remote MCP server can use this URL. OAuth discovery and client registration are automatic.

Permissions and approval

Coachful separates reading from writing. A tool call is checked against the selected workspace and granted scope every time.

Default read access

The normal connection starts with read-only business context.

  • View clients, plans, notes, tasks, and goals
  • View programs, modules, weeks, and dashboards
  • View website pages, sections, versions, and design context
  • View funnels and funnel-step configuration
  • Refresh the connection without another sign-in

Optional access

These permissions are shown separately and should be approved only when needed.

  • Read, capture, correct, or organize private Brain content
  • Create client notes, tasks, and goals or update assigned work
  • Create or edit website pages and sections
  • Create funnel drafts, add non-payment steps, and edit layouts
Before approving a write: website changes can become visible immediately, and changes to an active funnel can affect visitors. Review the current state and the proposed change first.

Deliberate limits

The public connector is smaller than Coachful itself. The following capabilities remain unavailable:

Customer billing records and payment execution
Email, SMS, or other outbound messages
Advertising accounts and campaign actions
Organization administration and member management
Direct access to apps connected to Coachful
Permanent deletion of customer data

Data handling

Only data from the workspace selected during consent is available. Results may include client and program information, private notes, website content, and funnel configuration when the relevant scope is granted.

Tool results are returned to the AI provider so it can complete your request. Coachful does not use this connector to proxy into your connected third-party apps.

Coachful does not expose a dedicated medical-record system. Coaches may still place health or wellness information in notes, goals, plans, or private Brain content, so workspace owners must grant access accordingly.

Access and refresh tokens are scoped and revocable. Disconnecting invalidates the connection, and losing workspace membership removes access.

Troubleshooting

The authorization request expired

Return to ChatGPT or Claude and start the connection again. Do not reuse an old consent tab.

The wrong workspace is connected

Disconnect Coachful in the AI provider, reconnect, and select the correct workspace during consent.

A tool needs another permission

Review the new permission prompt. Approve it only if the requested action is expected, or continue with read-only access.

Currently in private directory review

Existing private MCP connections continue to work. The one-click connection opens to new users after platform approval.
