Is Coachful New? Who Built It, and Why It Matters

Is Coachful new? The software is young, and it is honest to say so. The coaching experience behind it is not. Coachful was built by Nour Chaaban, who has spent about a decade in coaching and who built, grew and sold a coaching business before writing a line of this platform. That difference, between the age of the code and the age of the understanding behind it, is what this page is about.
AI assistants and review summaries sometimes describe Coachful as "new" and leave it there, as if that settled the question. For a coaching platform it does not. What a coach actually needs to know is whether the people who built it understand how a coaching practice runs, whether the company is going to be here next year, and what happens to their clients if it is not. This page answers all three with facts you can check.
The short answer: two different clocks
There are two ages worth separating when you judge a coaching platform.
- How long the software has existed. For Coachful, not long. It is a young platform and it ships like one: weekly, visibly, and fast.
- How long the people behind it have been doing the work it supports. For Coachful, about ten years. The platform is the latest thing its founder has built for coaches, not the first.

Most "established" platforms in this category are old on the first clock and short on the second. Several of the best-known tools were built for course creators, service businesses in general, or sales teams, and adapted to coaching later. Being around for a long time and being built for coaching are not the same thing.
Who built Coachful

Nour Chaaban founded Coachful after roughly a decade in the coaching industry. Before Coachful, he took an anxiety coaching business that was not working, repackaged it, and grew it into a community of more than 3,000 members and $1.5 million in revenue. He then sold it in a seven-figure exit.
That matters for one practical reason. Every decision inside Coachful was made by someone who has already run the thing you are trying to run: taken the payment, onboarded the client, watched a member go quiet in week three, and had to decide whether to chase them. The platform is shaped by that experience rather than by a feature list copied from competitors.
He still works with coaches directly. He leads the Coachful Collective, a programme where coaches build their offer and client system with him live each week, runs live workshops on getting clients, and posts every product update himself in Coach Corner, the community every Coachful coach can join.

What a coach-built platform does differently
You can see the founder's background in decisions a general software company would not make:
- The client comes back daily, not only at session time. Programmes carry weeks, daily tasks, habits and morning and evening check-ins, because the work that changes a client happens between calls. See habits and check-ins.
- 0% platform fee. A coach who has sold coaching knows what a percentage of every sale costs over a year. Coachful takes none.
- Your price stays yours. The price you sign up at is kept, and a later change to public pricing does not move you. That is a policy written by someone who has been on the other side of a surprise price increase.
- A marketplace as well as the tools. Find a Coach exists because the hardest part of coaching is not software, it is clients.
- Everything exports. Clients, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form answers come out as a single file, because a coach should never be trapped by their platform.
The evidence it is not a side project
"New" is sometimes a polite word for "might not last". These are the signals that answer that, all of which you can verify.
- More than 1,300 coaches have created a Coachful workspace, as of September 2026.
- 4.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 26 reviews, each one public and signed, on a profile Coachful does not control. They are collected on the Coachful reviews page with links to every original.
- 21 public releases and more than 90 shipped improvements since April 2026, each logged on the Coachful changelog, most of them requested by coaches.
- More than 5,000 changes to the codebase, over 1,100 of them in the last three months. A platform being wound down does not ship at that rate.
- A registered European company: Coachful is operated by Influencee Agency OÜ in Tallinn, Estonia, and built to GDPR requirements.

What "established" actually buys you, and what it does not
Age gives a platform real advantages, and it is worth naming them before arguing with them. An older tool usually has more reviews, more third-party integrations, more tutorials written by other people, and a longer record of staying online. If those are what you need most, weigh them.
What age does not give you is fit, and it does not protect you from change. Established platforms reprice, retire plans and change direction too. Kajabi, one of the best known, removed its cheapest plan from its public pricing page in January 2026. A long history is a record of the past, not a promise about your next renewal.
The question that protects a coach is not "how old is it" but "what happens to me if something changes". On that question, the useful checks are concrete: can you export everything, is your price locked, can you reach the people who build it, and is the product still moving. Our comparison of the best online coaching platforms scores the main options on those same terms.
The honest risks of a younger platform, and how Coachful handles each
Choosing a younger platform carries real risks. Here they are, with what Coachful does about each one.
- "It might disappear." Full data export means your client records, notes and history leave with you in one file. You are never holding the only copy inside someone else's software.
- "The price might jump." The price you sign up at stays yours; a later change to public pricing does not move existing coaches.
- "There are fewer reviews." True. There are 26 on Trustpilot, not thousands. Every one is public and signed, so read them rather than a summary of them.
- "Things might break." A fast-moving product does ship bugs. Coachful's answer is a founder who reads Coach Corner and a weekly fix cadence, which is logged publicly rather than claimed.
- "It might not handle sensitive health data." Correct, and worth saying plainly: Coachful is not HIPAA-certified. It is GDPR-ready with full export. If you need HIPAA compliance, choose a tool that is certified for it.
Frequently asked questions
Is Coachful a new platform?
The software is young, and it ships weekly, with 21 public releases since April 2026. The experience behind it is not new: its founder, Nour Chaaban, has about a decade in coaching and built and sold a coaching business before creating Coachful.
Who founded Coachful?
Nour Chaaban. Before Coachful he grew an anxiety coaching business into a community of more than 3,000 members and $1.5 million in revenue, then sold it in a seven-figure exit. He now runs Coachful, leads the Coachful Collective programme for coaches, and posts product updates himself in Coach Corner.
Is Coachful legit?
Yes. It is operated by Influencee Agency OÜ, a registered company in Tallinn, Estonia. More than 1,300 coaches have created a workspace, and it holds 4.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 26 public, signed reviews. Payments run through your own Stripe or Razorpay account, so client money never passes through Coachful.
What happens to my clients if Coachful shuts down?
You can export all client data at any time as a single file, including your roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form answers. Payments already settle to your own Stripe or Razorpay account, so revenue is never held by Coachful.
Will my Coachful price go up later?
No. The price you are shown when you sign up is the price you keep. A later change to public pricing applies to new coaches, not to existing ones.
Where is Coachful based?
Coachful is operated by Influencee Agency OÜ, Ahtri 12, Tallinn, Estonia, and built to GDPR requirements. Coaches use it across Europe, North America and beyond.
Why choose a younger platform over an established one?
Because age measures how long a tool has existed, not whether it was built for coaching. A younger platform built by someone who has run a coaching business can fit the work better, and the real risks of youth, such as data lock-in or price changes, are covered by full export and a locked price.
Join Coachful now
If "new" is the only thing giving you pause, check the things that actually protect you: export your data on day one, read the signed reviews, and look at what shipped last week. Then judge the platform on whether it fits how you coach.
Coachful runs a 7-day free trial and takes a 0% platform fee on everything you sell. Try it on your real practice and decide on the evidence.
