Practice Better pricing, as listed in October 2026, runs across five plans: Sprout is free for up to 3 clients, Starter is $35 a month, Professional is $69, Plus is $99 and Team is $155, and each paid plan costs $10 a month less when you pay for the year. The plan you end up on depends less on how many clients you have than on which features you need, because evergreen programs, portal branding and included text reminders only start on Plus.
Then come the add-ons. AI charting, the Connector Hub, ePrescribe, text messages and faxes are priced on their own, and no plan includes a website, so most practitioners pay for one somewhere else. Starter, Professional and Plus come with a 14-day free trial, and Team gets 30 days. There are no contracts, you can cancel at any time, and you can move up or down a plan, as long as your client count fits the lower plan's limit when you downgrade.
What each Practice Better plan actually gets you
Sprout: free, and deliberately small
Sprout gives one practitioner 3 clients and 100 MB of storage. It is a real way to learn the software, and Practice Better positions it for students and people just starting out. Three clients is a practicum, though, so treat it as a test drive rather than a home for a paying practice.
Starter: $35 a month, or $25 billed annually
Starter is the core practice-management kit: scheduling, telehealth video, billing and payments, secure messaging, the client portal, forms and note templates. The limit that bites is 10 clients. A health coach seeing clients weekly fills that in a month or two, and the next step up is a $34 jump.
Professional: $69 a month, or $59 billed annually
Professional raises the ceiling to 300 clients and 5 GB, and it adds the tools that make group work possible: group scheduling and messaging, fixed-date programs, payment plans, account deposits, PDF branding and Zapier. Text reminders are available here, but you buy them with credits. For a solo practitioner running a cohort that starts on a set date, this is usually the plan.
Plus: $99 a month, or $89 billed annually
Plus removes the client cap and adds the features coaches tend to ask about first: evergreen and self-paced programs, portal branding, a personalized URL, 750 text reminders a month, 10,000 broadcast messages a month, done-for-you program templates and three admin seats. It is also the first plan that can add the Connector Hub. If you want to sell a program people can start any day, you are on Plus.
Team: $155 a month, or $145 billed annually
Team is built for clinics. Two practitioners are included and each extra one is $50 a month. You get custom roles and permissions, team scheduling on a shared calendar, team chat and reporting, 2,000 text reminders a month and a free migration service.
The add-ons that change the bill
This is where Practice Better's pricing gets less tidy. Credits and add-ons are available from Professional upwards, and some are only offered on Plus and Team. As listed in October 2026:

Payment processing is the line nobody quotes. Practice Better Payments is powered by Stripe, and the pricing page does not list a processing rate, so expect standard card fees on every payment you take.
Three real Practice Better bills, worked out
Plan pages are easy to read and hard to total. Here are three practices we see often, priced from the October 2026 list.
- A health coach with 25 clients and one dated group program a quarter. Professional covers both. Add about 100 text reminders a month (25 clients, four sessions each) at 5c, which is $5, and the smallest AI Charting tier at $10. That is $84 a month, or $1,008 a year on monthly billing. Paying annually brings it to $74 a month, $888 a year.
- A nutrition coach selling a self-paced program under her own brand. Self-paced programs and portal branding need Plus. With AI Charting at $10, that is $109 a month ($1,308 a year), or $99 a month ($1,188 a year) billed annually. If she wants her email list in Mailchimp synced through the Connector Hub, add $49 and the monthly bill becomes $158.
- A functional medicine clinic with three practitioners, one of whom prescribes. Team at $155 plus one extra practitioner at $50 and ePrescribe at $49 comes to $254 a month, or $3,048 a year, plus $99 once for onboarding. Add the PDMP if your state requires it.
None of these totals include a website, an email marketing tool or Stripe's fees. For many wellness practices that is fine, because the clinical tools are worth every cent. For a coach whose work is mostly programs and marketing, the outside costs are where the comparison changes.
The costs that sit outside the Practice Better invoice
Practice Better is practice management software, and it is honest about that. Three jobs usually land on other bills:
- Your website. There is no website builder. You embed Practice Better's booking widget or booking links in a site built on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or Webflow, and you pay that host separately.
- Marketing email. Plus includes broadcasts and programs can send email sequences, but there is no marketing email platform with funnels and landing pages. Practitioners who want one connect Mailchimp or similar.
- A community. Program chat can run as a social-style feed, which works for a cohort. A standing community space for all your clients is a separate tool.

How Coachful's membership compares
We will not quote a Coachful price here, because your price is assigned when you start and it stays yours. What we can tell you is how the membership is put together, because it is the opposite of an add-on model.
Coachful plans differ mainly by how many clients and coach seats you have.
