Best Coaching Communities for Life Coaches in 2026

Best Coaching Communities for Life Coaches in 2026

The best communities for life coaches do two jobs that most general coaching groups skip: they help you hold the emotional weight of the work, and they help you explain a broad, personal kind of coaching to people who are not sure what a life coach does. Life coaching is not a licensed profession in most places, the clients bring everything from a stalled career to a divorce, and the line between coaching and therapy is yours to hold. The right room makes all three easier.

We compared nine communities for life coaches on those needs. Some are professional bodies with a specialty group for life coaching, some are alumni networks from the schools many life coaches train with, and some are rooms you will build yourself. For each one, we cover who it suits, what stands out, where it falls short, and when to choose it over our top pick.

And if the community's verdict is that your website does not say who you help, Coachful's team will rebuild it for free inside your account. The details are in the first entry.

What life coaches need from a community

Life coaches share a set of problems that executive or health coaches rarely face in the same form. Here they are, with the kind of help that actually works.

If the first row sounds familiar, our guides on what life coaches do and the types of life coaching will help you choose the words before you bring them to a community.

How we chose these communities for life coaches

Our criteria, in order: specific help from working life coaches on the business and the hard sessions, a private and well-moderated room, support for ethics and boundaries, and recognition that clients and referrers trust.

We ranked in that order, and we checked each organization on its own website in October 2026. We do not quote member counts unless the organization publishes them.

1. Coach Corner: the best community for life coaches who want daily help

Coach Corner is the private community for coaches inside Coachful, included with every Coachful plan. You open it from Community in the coach menu, and it carries a promise life coaches care about: a private room for coaches, and your clients never see it. That matters when the thing you want to talk about is a client who cried for forty minutes and you are not sure the session was coaching.

Coach Corner in Coachful's demo account showing a pinned Updates post, a client win in Wins and a question about webinar show-up, with the coaches list on the right
Coach Corner in the demo community, with sample coaches: a win, a question and a pinned update, each tagged by channel.

The channels map neatly onto a life coach's week. Questions for "is this a coaching issue or a therapy referral?" (with client details removed). Wins for the first client who renewed. Marketing for "here's my homepage headline, does it say who I help?". Resources for the values worksheet or intake form you are willing to share. Off-topic for the Friday you finally took off.

The demo community, with sample coaches, shows the tone. One coach asks why clients love months one and two of his program and then go quiet in month three. The replies are thoughtful: one coach says it is usually a check-in problem, because novelty carries the first two months and the third needs a reason to keep showing up; another gently suggests looking at whether the coach's own attention drops after onboarding. The coach who asked replies that both are uncomfortably accurate and he is adding a month-three milestone call. That exchange is what life coaches join communities for.

A demo thread where three coaches sort out who brings an offer to a working session, and one offers to go first for a colleague.

A few design choices keep the room generous. Badges are awarded automatically from what each coach does: Welcomer goes to coaches whose replies, welcomes and reactions far outweigh their own posts, Champion to the coaches doing the most for the room, and New here to anyone who joined in the last three weeks, with the instruction "Say hello". The Engage menu lets you post a Poll, a Q&A whose best reply you can mark as the accepted answer, a Commitment others can join, or an anonymous Pulse. And you can message any coach privately from their profile, which is where referral friendships between life coaches in different niches usually begin.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. Life coaches often know their work far better than their website shows. On every Coachful plan, the team builds what you need inside your account: a homepage that names who you help, an About page, a one-to-one coaching page with a booking button, a free-resource funnel, a signature program or an intake form. You describe it in a short form, attach up to eight links and ten files, and it usually arrives within about 24 hours, ready to edit. Nothing gets invented, so no fake testimonials or credentials. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Best for: life coaches who want daily, specific help from peers who run real practices. Where it falls short: it is a peer room, not a credentialing body or a formal supervision group. Pick something else if you need a recognized credential or regular supervision with a trained supervisor; add one alongside it. See what else Coachful includes on the Coachful for life coaches page.

2. ICF and its Life Vision and Enhancement community

For life coaches, the most relevant part of the International Coaching Federation is easy to miss. Among its Communities of Practice, organized by specialty, is one called Life Vision and Enhancement, and anyone can attend Community of Practice webinars. Members also get a local chapter (the ICF says it has over 140), the ICF Engage online community, and a credential path from ACC to MCC that gives a life coach something concrete to point to in an unlicensed field. Details are on the International Coaching Federation's site.

Best for: life coaches who want credibility and an ethics framework. Where it falls short: large and formal, with a monthly rather than daily rhythm. Pick it over Coach Corner if a credential is your next step; our guide on whether life coach certification is worth it helps you decide.

3. Coach training alumni networks

Many life coaches train with schools that keep a community going for graduates. The Co-Active Training Institute's alumni offer is called "Your Network for Life", where graduates continue learning together and refer opportunities to one another. iPEC runs a community for students and graduates, including a group for people who have completed Module III of its coach training. If you trained elsewhere, ask your school what it runs.

Best for: practice partners who share your method. Where it falls short: limited to that school, and often quiet on the business side. Pick it over Coach Corner if deepening one methodology matters more than marketing help this year.

4. Association for Coaching

The Association for Coaching, established in 2002, is an independent, not-for-profit professional body with members in over 80 countries. Its co-coaching forums are the reason life coaches should look at it: facilitated sessions, virtual and in person, where you coach and are coached by peers and get feedback. It also offers accreditation and a code of ethics. See the Association for Coaching's site.

Best for: regular, structured skill practice. Where it falls short: less help with getting clients. Pick it over Coach Corner if your coaching skills, not your marketing, are the bottleneck.

5. International Association of Coaching (IAC)

The IAC certifies coaches on demonstrated skill against its Coaching Masteries, assessed through an online test and recorded coaching. It has regional chapters that members can start, webinars in English, Spanish and Chinese, and an international directory.

Best for: life coaches who would rather be assessed on how they coach than on hours logged. Where it falls short: a smaller community than the ICF. Pick it over Coach Corner if a skills-based certification fits how you want to present yourself.

6. Christian Coaches Network International

Many life coaches are Christian coaches, and CCNI has supported them since 1998. Its membership includes a busy calendar of live events (10 to 16 a month, according to its site), affinity groups such as women in coaching and coaching the church, monthly webinars and a video library. You do not need an existing credential to join.

Best for: coaches who want faith to be part of the conversation. Where it falls short: narrow by design. Pick it over Coach Corner if faith-based fellowship is what your practice is missing.

7. A referral circle you build yourself

Life coaching is broad, which makes referrals unusually valuable: the relationship coach, the career coach, the financial coach and the confidence coach all meet prospects who belong to each other. A referral circle is four to six coaches in neighboring niches who meet monthly for an hour, say who they are looking for, and pass on people who fit. Add one or two therapists you trust, so you have somewhere to send clients whose needs go beyond coaching.

Here is a simple referral map to start from.

The prospect says...Refer to
"It's really about my marriage."A relationship coach, or a couples therapist
"I hate my job and I don't know what else I'd do."A career coach
"I can't stop worrying about money."A financial coach
"I've felt low for months and can't get out of bed."A therapist or a doctor, before any coaching
"My team doesn't respect me."A leadership or executive coach

Our article on referral partners for life coaches covers who to approach first. Coach Corner is a good place to recruit: post in Introductions with who you help and who you are looking for.

8. Facebook groups for life coaches

Facebook still hosts many private groups for life coaches, organized by niche, region or training school. The best ones have strict no-pitch rules and active moderators.

Best for: niche chat with coaches like you. Where it falls short: moderation varies, and the feed buries good answers within days. Pick one over Coach Corner if there is a well-run group for your exact niche.

9. r/lifecoaching on Reddit

Public forums such as r/lifecoaching are where life coaching gets discussed in the open, and threads there tend to mix coaches with people wondering whether coaching is worth paying for. Read it for that second group: their doubts are exactly what your website and discovery call need to answer.

Best for: honest outside views. Where it falls short: anonymous and often skeptical. Pick it over Coach Corner if you want market research rather than peer support.

Running a community for your own life coaching clients

Life coaches who run group programs often end up needing the other kind of community too: one for their clients. The difference matters. Coach Corner is for you and other coaches; a client community is where your clients share wins and encourage each other between sessions.

The other kind of community: a demo coach's client feed on a phone, with a live Q&A and member stories.

Coachful includes both. The client side gives you a branded feed, program channels, cohort groups created when clients enroll, live Q&A sessions and stories. See the community platform for coaches page, and our step-by-step guide to creating an online coaching community for your clients.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best community for life coaches?

For day-to-day help with offers, pricing and difficult sessions, a private community of working coaches such as Coach Corner inside Coachful. For credibility and ethics, the International Coaching Federation, including its Life Vision and Enhancement Community of Practice. Many life coaches add a small referral circle of coaches in neighboring niches.

Do life coaches need to join a professional association?

It is not legally required in most places, because life coaching is not a licensed profession. But a professional body gives you a code of ethics, a credential path and colleagues, which helps when prospects ask how they can trust you. Choose one whose credential your clients recognize.

Where can life coaches talk about difficult client sessions?

In a private, coaches-only space, with identifying details removed. Supervision with a trained supervisor is the formal option. A peer case group or a private community like Coach Corner works for everyday questions such as whether something is a coaching issue or a therapy referral.

How do life coaches get referrals from other coaches?

Be specific about who you help, refer generously, and build relationships with coaches in neighboring niches such as career, relationship and financial coaching. A monthly referral circle and direct messages with coaches you have met in a community are where most referrals come from.

Are there communities for Christian life coaches?

Yes. Christian Coaches Network International has supported Christian coaches since 1998, with live events, affinity groups, webinars and a video library, and you do not need a credential to join.

Can Coachful build my life coaching website for free?

Yes. The white-glove build is free on every Coachful plan. You describe the pages you want and what they should do, attach links and files, and the team builds them in your account, usually within about 24 hours. The build costs nothing extra; the Coachful membership is what you pay for, and you can start with a free trial.

Is Coach Corner visible to my clients?

No. Coach Corner is only open to coaches, and its own description says your clients never see it. Your clients have their own community in your Coachful workspace if you choose to run one.
