How to Create a Coaching Sales Page, Section by Section

How to Create a Coaching Sales Page, Section by Section

A coaching sales page is the single page that explains one coaching offer well enough that the right person can say yes without a call: who it's for, what changes, how it works, what it costs and what to do next. You don't need clever copywriting to write one. You need your clients' own words, a clear structure and the nerve to state your price plainly.

This guide builds a coaching sales page from the top of the screen to the checkout button, section by section, with sample copy for a fictional strength coach who runs a 12-week small-group program for adults over 50. Use it as a running example and swap in your own offer as you go.

If you'd rather hand the writing and setup to someone else, Coachful's team builds offers and sales pages for free on any Coachful plan, including the checkout. How to request that is covered further down.

Before you write: collect three things

Sales pages written from a blank screen sound like every other sales page. Sales pages written from these three inputs sound like you.

  1. Your clients' words. Go back through discovery call notes, intake forms and emails. Copy out the exact phrases people use for their problem and their goal. "I don't want to be the person who can't get off the floor" is better than anything you'll invent.
  2. The questions people ask before buying. These become your FAQ, and they tell you what the page needs to answer higher up.
  3. What actually happens in the program. Week by week, session by session. Vague structure is the biggest reason people hesitate.

Our coach, Marco, coaches strength for people over 50 in a small neighborhood gym and online. His notes are full of the same three fears: getting hurt, being the oldest one there, and not knowing what to do with weights. Those fears shape the whole page.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

The page, top to bottom

Here are the sections in the order a reader scrolls, with Marco's copy for each.

1. The headline

Name the outcome, for the person, in their words.

Headline: Get strong after 50 without wrecking your knees.

Subheadline: A 12-week small-group strength program for adults who've never lifted, or haven't in decades. Six people per group, two sessions a week, coached the whole way.

Button: See if it's right for you (it scrolls down to "Who it's for").

2. The problem, said kindly

One or two short paragraphs that show you understand where they are. No fear tactics.

"You know strength training matters. Your doctor has said it, your friends are doing it. But walking into a gym full of 25-year-olds and guessing at a machine isn't happening. And the last time you tried a class, your knees told you about it for a week."

3. What changes

Three to five outcomes, concrete and believable. Avoid promises you can't keep.

  • Get up off the floor without using your hands.
  • Carry the shopping from the car in one trip.
  • Know exactly what to do in a gym, and why.
  • Feel safe adding weight, because you've been taught how.

4. Who it's for, and who it isn't

This section does more selling than any other, because it lets the right people relax.

For you if: you're over 50, new or returning to strength training, and want coaching rather than a video library.

Not a fit if: you're recovering from surgery in the last six months (talk to your physio first), or you want a bodybuilding program.

A long web page printed on sheets taped into a vertical strip on a wooden table, with a red pen and handwritten margin arrows
Print the draft and read it top to bottom with a pen: every section should answer the question the one above it raises.

5. How it works

Spell out the structure. A short table works well.

WeeksFocusWhat you do
1 to 2Movement check and basicsLearn the six patterns with light weights
3 to 6Building a baseTwo full-body sessions a week, adding load slowly
7 to 10Getting strongerHeavier sets, tracked in the app
11 to 12Your own planRetest and leave with a program to keep going

6. What's included

List everything they get, plainly: 24 coached small-group sessions, a movement check in week one, a program in the client app with videos of each exercise, a private group chat, and a progress retest in week 12.

7. About the coach

Four or five sentences and a real photo. Why you, why this, why now. Marco: "I started lifting at 47 after a back injury and a physio who told me to get strong or get used to it. I've coached adults over 50 for eight years. Most of my clients have never touched a barbell when they start."

8. Proof

Real testimonials only, with permission, and specific ones. "Marco is great!" helps less than "I carried my grandson up three flights of stairs last week." If you're new and don't have testimonials yet, leave this section out. Don't borrow, invent or paraphrase them.

9. The price

State it once, clearly, with the payment plan next to it if you offer one. Then say what it compares to in their world (personal training sessions, a physio course), not in yours. Hiding the price until a call is a choice, but on a page meant to sell directly, hiding it costs sales. For more on payment plans, see how to offer payment plans for coaching.

10. FAQ

Five to eight questions from your notes. Marco's include: "What if I have bad knees?", "Will I be the oldest one there?", "What if I miss a session?", "Do I need gym clothes?" and "What happens after 12 weeks?"

11. The closing call to action

Repeat the headline promise in one line, the next start date, the number of places, and the button. Use a real deadline only if there is one.

Closing line: The next group starts 6 January. Six places. Button: Join the January group

Checkout and what happens after the click

The page is only half the sale. When someone clicks the button they should reach a checkout with the same name and price, a payment plan if you offer one, and nothing else on the screen. After paying, they should land somewhere that says what happens next: "You're in. Here's how to download the app, and your first session is on Tuesday at 9am." A buyer who has to email you to ask "what now?" is already less confident. Our guide to a low-friction coaching checkout covers this part in more depth.

Check it on a phone before anything else

Most people will read your page on a phone, often in short bursts. Open it on yours and check that:

  • the headline and button are visible without scrolling,
  • paragraphs are three lines or fewer on a small screen,
  • tables scroll sideways instead of shrinking to unreadable,
  • the button appears after the price and again at the end,
  • your photo isn't cropped at the forehead.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

Sales page mistakes that cost coaches clients

  • Writing about your method instead of their result. They care that their knees hold up, not that your framework has five pillars.
  • A wall of text with no structure. Use headings that a skimmer can read alone and still understand the offer.
  • Several offers on one page. One page, one offer, one button.
  • Fake urgency. A countdown that resets on refresh ruins trust for good.
  • No "not for you" section. Without it, the right people aren't sure, and the wrong people buy and ask for refunds.

Templates, samples and this guide: which to use

If you want a fill-in-the-blanks layout, our sale page template for coaches gives you the framework to copy. If you learn best from examples, our sales page sample breakdowns pull apart seven real pages. This guide sits between them: it's the process for writing your own page from your own client notes, which is what makes it sound like you.

Building the sales page in Coachful

In Coachful, an offer and its sales page are connected, so the price, the checkout and the access people get after paying all come from the same place.

  • Start from an offer. In Sell, open Offers and create a new offer. The first step offers 30 ready-made offer templates, from 1:1 packages to groups and memberships. A template fills in the name, audience, outcome, How it works, FAQs and button text; you choose what's included and set your own price.
  • Every offer has its own page. You can also show it on your link-in-bio page, add it to your website menu or put it in a funnel.
  • Or start from a sales funnel template. New Funnel includes sales page templates for a program, a coaching package, a membership, a VIP day, an online course and a low-ticket starter offer. They write the page sections and an offer card whose price comes from the offer or program you pick, and they invent no testimonials, guarantees or countdowns.
  • Checkout. Payments go through your own Stripe account at a 0% Coachful platform fee, with payment plans, coupons and order bumps. Buyers get access to the program, sessions or content automatically. See payment software for coaches for details.

Or have Coachful's team write and build it for free

On every Coachful plan, the Coachful team will build your offer or sales page at no extra cost. It's labeled in the app as a complimentary gift.

How to ask. Open Create and choose "We'll build it for you", then pick "Offer or sales page" under "What should we build?". The offer template row in Offers also ends with a free "Want us to build your offer?" request. If you want the page as part of a funnel, use Fill in a form on the Funnels page and choose "Sell a program or offer".

What to send. Describe the offer in "What do you want it to be?", and who it's for and what it should achieve in the next box. Paste your existing copy, notes from discovery calls, your price and what's included. Add up to eight links to sales pages you like and up to ten files: photos, your logo, a brand guide, documents or even an audio memo of you explaining the program. Video files aren't accepted.

What happens next. The team replies by email with next steps, usually within about 24 hours. That's a typical time, not a guarantee. The page and checkout are built in your own account, so you can edit every word afterwards.

A recent example. A business mentor for beauty professionals who sells on Instagram asked for a sales page and checkout for a 12-week mentorship. The team built both, connected the coach's free start-up guide funnel so it leads into the sales page, rewrote the follow-up emails, and took the design from the coach's own guide PDF.

What it doesn't include. Nothing gets invented. No fake testimonials, credentials or prices: if you don't have testimonials yet, the section is left out or marked for you to fill in. The team doesn't manage ads or film your sales video. The free white-glove service page has the full list.

Frequently asked questions

What should a coaching sales page include?

A headline with the outcome, a short description of the problem, what changes, who it's for and who it isn't for, how the program works, what's included, an about section, real testimonials if you have them, the price, an FAQ and a clear button repeated at the end.

How long should a coaching sales page be?

Long enough to answer every question a buyer has before paying. For a low-priced offer that might be a few screens; for a three-month program it's usually much longer. Length matters less than structure: clear headings let people skip to what they need.

Should I put my coaching price on the sales page?

If the page is meant to sell without a call, yes. State it once, clearly, with any payment plan beside it. If you sell mostly through discovery calls, you can use the page to explain the offer and invite a call instead.

Can I write a sales page without testimonials?

Yes. Leave the section out rather than inventing anything. Lean on a clear "who it's for" section, a detailed "how it works" table and an honest about section. Add real testimonials once your first clients finish.

Will Coachful build my coaching sales page for free?

Yes. On every Coachful plan, the team builds offers and sales pages at no extra cost. Open Create, choose "We'll build it for you" and pick "Offer or sales page". The team replies by email, usually within about 24 hours, and builds it in your account.

What's the difference between a sales page and a landing page?

A landing page usually asks for something small, like an email address or a booking. A sales page asks for a purchase, so it needs much more detail: structure, inclusions, price, proof and answers to objections.
