Best Email Marketing for Relationship Coaches: 10 Ranked

Best Email Marketing for Relationship Coaches: 10 Ranked

The best email marketing for relationship coaches is the tool that turns a stranger who downloaded your "five conversations every couple avoids" guide into a booked discovery call, and then keeps writing to them differently once they become a client. Relationship coaching has a few quirks most email roundups ignore: two partners can sit behind one booking, inboxes are sometimes shared, and the subject line of a nurture email can be read over someone's shoulder. So the deciding question is not "which tool has the prettiest templates" but "which tool knows who is a lead, who is a paying couple, and who just finished a program."

Our pick is Coachful, because its email lists, broadcasts and sequences live in the same account as your booking pages, coaching agreements, client records and program delivery, so a sequence can be set to stop when someone pays and a check-in email can go only to active clients. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and note the honest trade-off up front: dedicated email tools such as MailerLite, Kit and ActiveCampaign give you deeper deliverability tooling and more advanced segmentation. If your business is mostly a newsletter, one of them may suit you better. Below are ten options ranked, a checklist to find your fit, and the real monthly cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients.

Which five questions should a relationship coach answer before choosing?

Answer these five about your own practice first. Each answer points toward a different kind of tool, and the table after this section maps them to picks.

  1. Do your emails need to know who is already a client? If a couple pays for a 12-week program and still gets "Book your free call" emails, it feels careless. Tools that sit next to your client records can stop those automatically; standalone tools need a payment integration or manual tagging.
  2. Do you mostly sell discovery calls, or do you also sell programs, workshops and retreats? A call-first practice needs a lead magnet, a short nurture sequence and a booking link. A launch-driven practice (a February couples workshop, a post-breakup program for singles) needs funnels, checkout and launch sequences.
  3. Are your audiences separate? Many relationship coaches serve singles who are dating, couples who want to reconnect, and people going through separation. These groups should not get the same email. Check how a tool counts a contact who sits in two lists, because some charge twice.
  4. How much privacy does your audience need? A person quietly researching whether their marriage can be saved may not want "Is your relationship in trouble?" landing in a shared inbox. You need control over sender name, subject lines and the ability to send sensitive follow-ups inside a client portal instead of by email.
  5. How many tools are you willing to pay for and log into? Email is one line in a stack that usually also includes scheduling, payments, agreements and somewhere to deliver the program. Count the total, not just the email bill.

Which tool matches your answers?

How we ranked: one login for the whole client journey, email that knows who is a client, between-session delivery for couples, total stack cost, and setup effort (including the free white-glove build), with deliverability and segmentation depth weighed honestly.

ToolBest match if you answered...Where it falls short for relationship coaches
CoachfulYes to emails knowing who is a client; you sell calls and programs; you want one loginLess deliverability tooling and segmentation depth than dedicated email platforms
MailerLiteYou want a cheap, capable email tool with simple bookings attachedNo program delivery, check-ins or client portal

FlodeskDesign matters most and your list is smallFree plan cannot send; no client records or scheduling
ActiveCampaignYou run three or more audiences with complex branchingNo booking or checkout; Calendly-type integrations start on Plus
Practice BetterYou also hold a clinical license and need a HIPAA-listed practice systemBroadcast messaging, not a marketing email builder

MailchimpYou already use it and your list is tinyContacts in two audiences count twice; flow steps capped on Essentials
KajabiYou sell courses and memberships at volumeHigh entry price; no per-couple programs or check-ins

Build your platform

How did we choose these ten tools?

We started from the workflows a relationship coaching practice actually runs: a lead magnet or quiz, a short nurture into a discovery call, a reminder sequence before the call, a proposal and agreement, onboarding for one or two partners, between-session check-ins, and a launch or two a year. We then checked each vendor's own pricing and feature pages as listed in October 2026 (Practice Better's pricing page was checked on the day of writing). We did not run hands-on deliverability tests; where we mention reputation, it comes from public review sites such as Trustpilot, with the review counts given. Tools aimed mainly at e-commerce stores or enterprise sales teams were left out, because they solve problems a solo or small-team relationship coach rarely has. For the wider category beyond this niche, see our parent guide to the best email marketing tools for coaches.

1. Coachful: why does it rank first for relationship coaches?

Coachful's intake call tracker and coach dashboard with demo data, on a laptop and tablet beside two journals.

Coachful ranks first because email is not a separate island. Lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits sit in the same account as your funnels, booking pages, coaching agreements, payments and client records. For a relationship coach, that means the "book your free call" sequence and the "welcome to week one" sequence draw on the same data, so the second one starts when the first one has done its job.

What a couples practice gets from one account

Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and each client gets your branding inside the Coachful app. It is built for solo coaches growing into a small team and for coaches replacing four to six separate tools. You can see how it fits this niche on the Coachful for relationship coaches page.

Here is how the pieces map to relationship work:

  • List growth. Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking, built on about 25 funnel templates. A "relationship check-in quiz" or "repair conversation script" download feeds straight into your email lists.
  • Leads you can see. The Prospects table shows each lead, the form or resource they came from, and their stage, so you know which guide brought in the couples who book.
  • Discovery calls. Booking pages with intake questions, availability rules, buffers and time-zone detection, two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync, and email reminders (plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled).
  • Agreements before the first call. Coaching agreements with e-signature are sent before the first session and stored on the client record, a useful place to state that coaching is not couples therapy.
  • Between sessions. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, and morning and evening check-ins. A couple can each log the same "10-minute daily check-in" habit inside their own app instead of you emailing reminders.
  • Client status. Each client record shows goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, plus a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. A "quiet" client is the one to send a personal note to, not a broadcast.

Where it helps with sensitive email

Because programs, check-ins and direct messages are delivered inside the client's branded app, the most personal material (reflection prompts, notes after a hard session) does not have to travel by email at all. Email can stay for neutral items: session reminders, a monthly newsletter, a workshop announcement. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, drafts emails and content from your live practice data, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each one. Questions and planning with Michelle are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

This short walkthrough shows the email side of Coachful, including lists and sequences:

Honest limits

Coachful is not a specialist email platform. Dedicated tools such as ActiveCampaign or MailerLite offer more deliverability tooling and more advanced segmentation, and if you send to tens of thousands of subscribers a week that depth matters. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, so a coach who is also a licensed therapist should keep clinical records in a clinical system. There is no PayPal (payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with a 0% Coachful platform fee). Every plan is paid once the trial ends, and the client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than your own App Store account.

Price

Plans are flat monthly, with lower plans capping the number of clients and Pro unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Email lists, broadcasts and sequences are included in your Coachful membership, and monthly plans cancel in one click. There is a free trial.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, the "We'll build it for you" card lets you describe what you want built, such as a lead-magnet funnel for your couples guide, a discovery-call email sequence, a newsletter, a website or a program. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logos, photos, brand guides, copy). The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and any gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent build: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Read more about the white-glove service.

2. MailerLite: is it the best standalone email tool for a small relationship practice?

MailerLite's homepage introducing its email marketing, website and signup form tools
MailerLite's homepage in October 2026.

For most relationship coaches who want a separate email tool, MailerLite is the strongest value. It covers newsletters, automations, signup forms, landing pages and a website builder, and it adds something rare for an email platform: built-in Bookings for 1:1 and group sessions, free or paid through Stripe, with Google Calendar and Outlook sync. Booking questions save to the subscriber profile, so "Are you booking as a couple or on your own?" becomes data you can segment on.

Where it fits a relationship practice

A typical setup: a quiz or guide on a MailerLite landing page, a five-email nurture, and a paid or free discovery-call booking at the end. Separate groups for singles, couples and people navigating separation are straightforward. Digital products, paid newsletters and subscriptions sell with 0% MailerLite commission; only Stripe's processing fee applies.

Pricing as listed in October 2026

  • Free: up to 250 active subscribers, 2,500 emails a month, 3 active automations of 5 steps each, 1 active digital product or booking. Sending locks above 250 active subscribers.
  • Comfort: $12/month for 500 subscribers ($19/month at 1,000), 50 automations of up to 100 steps.
  • Power: $25/month for 500 subscribers ($39/month at 1,000), unlimited automations, seats and bookings.

Every new account gets 14 days of premium features. MailerLite has a Trustpilot score of 4.1 from 3,391 reviews.

What it will not do

There are no programs, habits, check-ins, client portal or agreements. The free plan's three 5-step automations and single booking type are tight once you run more than one offer.

Pick it over Coachful if your coaching runs on calls alone, you already have a place to deliver material, and you want the most email capability per dollar.

3. Kit: right for relationship coaches whose newsletter is the product?

Kit (formerly ConvertKit) is built for creators who write to a list every week. If your relationship coaching business is really a newsletter with coaching attached, for example a weekly essay on attachment and communication that funnels a few readers into private sessions, Kit is designed for that shape.

The newsletter-first case

Kit's free Newsletter plan covers up to 10,000 subscribers, which is generous for a coach building an audience slowly. Paid-plan sequences let you send readers into "dating" or "married" tracks, and landing pages and simple digital-product sales are included. Kit Commerce charges 3.5% plus $0.30 per USD transaction all-in, with no monthly Commerce fee, so a $27 workbook on repair conversations can sell without another tool.

Plans and costs

  • Free (Newsletter): $0, up to 10,000 subscribers.
  • Creator: from $39/month for up to 1,000 subscribers, price scales with list size, 2 team members.
  • Pro: from $79/month for up to 1,000 subscribers, unlimited team members.

A 14-day trial on Creator and Pro needs no credit card. Kit's Trustpilot score is 3.9 from 162 reviews, as seen in October 2026.

Gaps to plan around

Automations and sequences require a paid plan, so the free tier is a newsletter, not a nurture engine. Kit fulfils digital products only: there is no scheduling, no client records, no course portal, no community and no check-ins. You will need a booking tool and somewhere to run programs.

Pick it over Coachful if writing is your main marketing channel, your list will grow well past your client count, and you are comfortable stitching in a separate booking and delivery stack.

4. Flodesk: does design-led email suit a relationship brand?

Flodesk pricing page with its plan tiers
Flodesk's pricing page in October 2026.

Flodesk is the tool relationship coaches often pick for looks. Its emails, forms and landing pages lean on polished layouts, which suits a warm, editorial brand voice. It also includes simple checkout and sales pages.

Why some coaches choose it

If your audience responds to beautiful, magazine-style newsletters (a monthly "date night ideas" issue, a seasonal letter before Valentine's Day), Flodesk makes those easy to produce. Public reviewers rate it highly: 4.8 on Trustpilot from 321 reviews, as seen in October 2026.

October 2026 plan list

  • Free: $0, no subscriber limit, but no email sending.
  • Lite: $25/month ($19/month annual), base price up to 1,000 subscribers, 1 seat.
  • Pro: $28/month ($25/month annual), base up to 1,000 subscribers, 2 seats.
  • Everything: $54/month ($49/month annual), base up to 1,000 subscribers, 3 seats.

Flodesk Checkout uses Stripe at 3% plus $0.30 per transaction in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (3% plus £0.30 in the UK, 3% plus €0.30 in Europe). A 14-day trial needs no card.

Caveats for coaching use

Checkout works only in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Euro Area countries. There is no scheduling, client records, course portal, community or check-ins. Our October 2026 notes do not detail how far Flodesk's automation goes, so check its current plan page if multi-branch nurture sequences matter to you.

Pick it over Coachful if email design is central to your brand, your offers are simple, and you already run sessions and programs elsewhere.

5. ActiveCampaign: worth it for coaches with several audiences?

ActiveCampaign's homepage presenting its email marketing automation platform
ActiveCampaign's homepage in October 2026.

ActiveCampaign is the most capable automation tool on this list. Its strength is segmented sequences and multi-step automations backed by a contact CRM, which matters if you run singles, couples, divorce and pre-marriage audiences at once and want each person routed by behavior, not by guesswork.

Segmentation depth

Picture a reader who downloads a "fighting fair" guide, opens two emails about communication and clicks a link about premarital coaching. ActiveCampaign can move that person onto an engaged-couples track automatically. That level of branching is where dedicated tools genuinely beat all-in-one platforms. It also suits coaches who care about tuning deliverability and sending behavior closely.

What it costs (October 2026 listing)

  • Starter: $19/month ($15/month annual) for 1,000 contacts, 5 actions per automation, forms only, no landing pages, no Calendly or Stripe integrations.
  • Plus: $59/month ($49/month annual) for 1,000 contacts, unlimited automation actions, landing pages, and Calendly, Acuity and Eventbrite integrations.
  • Pro: $99/month ($79/month annual), 3 seats. Enterprise: $179/month ($145/month annual).

There is no free plan; a 14-day trial needs no card and paid plans carry a 30-day refund guarantee. Trustpilot shows 2.7 from 1,452 reviews.

Trade-offs

There is no built-in booking calendar and no checkout: you connect a scheduler and Stripe or PayPal (on Plus and above) to feed purchases into automations. Deal pipelines need a paid add-on. For a relationship coach, that means ActiveCampaign is realistically a Plus-tier purchase plus a scheduler plus a delivery tool.

Pick it over Coachful if advanced segmentation across several audiences is the core of your marketing and you have the time to build and maintain complex automations.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

6. Practice Better: a fit for relationship coaches with clinical credentials?

Practice Better's homepage presenting its practice management platform for health professionals
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Practice Better is a practice management system and EHR aimed at health professionals, with scheduling, telehealth video, billing, a client portal, forms, programs and a mobile app. It appears here because some relationship coaches are also licensed counsellors, and its pricing page lists HIPAA, PIPEDA and GDPR compliance.

Email in a practice-management tool

Practice Better is not a marketing email builder. Its Plus plan lists broadcast messaging (10,000 a month) and SMS reminders (750 a month), which covers announcements to existing clients rather than lead nurture. You would still want a funnel and newsletter tool for list growth.

Plans on the pricing page we checked

  • Sprout: free, 3 clients.
  • Starter: $35/month ($25/month annual), 10 clients.
  • Professional: $69/month ($59/month annual), 300 clients, group scheduling and messaging.
  • Plus: $99/month ($89/month annual), unlimited clients, broadcast messaging, portal branding.
  • Team: $155/month ($145/month annual), 2 practitioner licenses.

The Team plan has a 30-day trial; other paid plans have 14 days.

Why it ranks mid-table

For relationship coaching that is not clinical, the health-practice framing (charting, protocols, fax numbers) adds weight you do not need, and the marketing side is thin. Compare it with other direct substitutes in our guide to coaching software for relationship coaches.

Pick it over Coachful if you hold a clinical license, see clients under that license, and need a HIPAA-listed system for those records.

7. Systeme.io: can a low-cost funnel tool carry your email?

Systeme.io's homepage presenting its all-in-one funnel, email and course platform
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

Systeme.io bundles funnels, email, courses, a basic community, a blog and an affiliate program at a low price, with 0% transaction fees on every plan. For a new relationship coach testing a "30-day reconnection challenge" funnel, it is one of the cheapest ways to get a landing page, a checkout and a follow-up sequence live.

The budget route

The free plan never expires and needs no card: 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign. Public reviewers rate it 4.9 on Trustpilot from 8,696 reviews, as seen in October 2026.

Listed prices, October 2026

  • Free: $0, 2,000 contacts.
  • Startup: $17/month, 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels, 5 courses.
  • Webinar: $47/month, 10,000 contacts, 50 funnels.
  • Unlimited: $97/month, unlimited contacts and automation rules.

Where it stops

There is no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, and no habits or check-ins, so discovery calls and couples sessions need another tool. Community and course features are basic, and our profile notes no branded mobile app.

Pick it over Coachful if your first goal is selling a low-priced challenge or course at the lowest possible monthly cost, and 1:1 coaching comes later.

8. Mailchimp: still a sensible choice in 2026?

Mailchimp's homepage presenting its email marketing and automation platform
Mailchimp's homepage in October 2026.

Mailchimp is the name most coaches already know, with newsletters, signup and popup forms, landing pages, automation flows and a basic website builder. For relationship coaches it works, but the pricing model has two traps.

The two traps

First, a contact who sits in two audiences counts twice. If you keep separate audiences for singles and couples and someone moves from one to the other, you pay for them twice. Use one audience with tags instead. Second, Essentials allows only 4 steps per automation flow, so a proper discovery-call nurture needs Standard.

October 2026 tiers

  • Free: 250 contacts, 500 sends a month, no automation flows, Mailchimp branding on emails.
  • Essentials: $13/month for up to 500 contacts.
  • Standard: $20/month for up to 500 contacts, rising by contact tier.
  • Premium: $350/month starting at 10,000 contacts.

A 14-day trial on Essentials or Standard is available in select countries and asks for payment details. Trustpilot shows 2.5 from 1,555 reviews.

Who should stay

If your list is already in Mailchimp and works, migrating is not urgent. If you are starting fresh, the cheaper tools above give more automation for less. There is no scheduling, client record or program delivery.

Pick it over Coachful if you have years of templates and reporting in Mailchimp and only need a newsletter alongside an existing practice system.

9. Kajabi: does a course platform make sense for email?

Kajabi's homepage presenting its course, community and website platform
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. Relationship coaches with a large audience and an evergreen course ("Rebuilding Trust After Betrayal") use it to run the whole product business, with email as one part.

When the price makes sense

Kajabi suits coaches selling many digital products at volume. Its email lives alongside courses and communities, so purchase data and email share a home, which is real value at scale.

Costs listed in October 2026

  • Basic: $179/month ($143/month annual), 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 0 AI credits.
  • Growth: $249/month ($199/month annual), 50 products, 25,000 contacts.
  • Pro: $499/month ($399/month annual), 100,000 contacts.

Using a processor other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal adds a Kajabi fee of 0.5% to 2% depending on plan. The trial is 14 days.

Mismatch with couples coaching

Coaching in Kajabi is products and communities rather than per-client plans. There are no habits or daily check-ins, and the Basic plan's 2,500-contact cap arrives quickly if a free relationship quiz goes well. For more on this category see course platforms for relationship coaches.

Pick it over Coachful if your revenue comes mostly from self-paced courses sold to thousands of people, and 1:1 or couples coaching is a small add-on.

10. GoHighLevel: only for agency-style teams?

HighLevel's homepage presenting its marketing CRM and automation platform
GoHighLevel's homepage in October 2026.

GoHighLevel (HighLevel) is an agency-first marketing CRM with funnels, websites, calendars, SMS and email, invoicing, contracts, courses and communities, organized around sub-accounts. It can do almost everything a relationship coach's marketing needs, if someone builds it.

The build-it-yourself bargain

Plans cover unlimited users and contacts. Its Trustpilot score is 4.9 from 15,250 reviews, as seen in October 2026, though many reviewers are agencies rather than solo coaches.

Pricing, October 2026

  • Starter: $97/month ($80.83/month annual), 3 sub-accounts.
  • Unlimited: $297/month ($247.50/month annual).
  • Agency Pro: $497/month ($414.17/month annual).

SMS, email, phone and AI usage are metered and billed on top. HIPAA is a $297/month add-on. The trial is 14 days and billing starts automatically at the end.

Why it ranks last here

There is no habit tracking, no client check-ins and no structured program engine; you would simulate them with workflows and forms. There are no built-in video rooms. For a solo relationship coach, the setup effort is the main cost.

Pick it over Coachful if you run a multi-coach agency, want SMS-first follow-up at scale, and have a technical person to build and maintain workflows.

What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Email tools price by list size, not clients, so this table assumes an illustrative list of 500 subscribers in all three columns, which is a realistic size for a solo relationship coach. Prices are the monthly-billing figures as listed in October 2026. The last column shows what you still need to buy separately.

The cheap headline numbers rarely stay cheap. A $12 email plan plus a scheduler, an e-signature tool and a course or portal tool can end up costing more than one coaching platform, and every extra tool is another place where a couple's details live. Our cheapest email marketing for coaches guide goes deeper on the lowest-cost options.

How would a relationship coach set this up in Coachful, step by step?

Coachful's automations screen on a laptop on a cafe table set for two
Coachful's Automations screen with demo choices, on a laptop at a table set for two.

Here is an example build for a coach who works with couples and with individuals after a breakup. The names and offers are illustrative.

  1. Create two lead magnets. Use a lead-magnet funnel template for "The Weekly Couple Check-In: 6 Questions" and another for "After the Breakup: A 14-Day Reset Guide." Each funnel adds people to its own email list.
  2. Write two short nurture sequences. Five emails each over two weeks, drafted with Michelle and edited in your voice. Add a branch so anyone who books a call skips the rest and gets a "see you on the call" email instead.
  3. Set up the discovery-call booking page. Add intake questions such as "Are you booking for yourself or with a partner?" and "What would you like to be different in three months?" Turn on buffers and time-zone detection; partners often join from different places.
  4. Send the agreement before the first paid session. Include a clear scope line: coaching is not couples therapy, and you will refer out for abuse, safety concerns or mental health crises.
  5. Enroll paying clients in a program. A 10-week "Reconnect" program with a weekly goal, a daily 10-minute connection habit and an evening check-in. Set a trigger so enrolled clients leave the lead-nurture sequence, and let the program does the between-session work.
  6. Keep a monthly newsletter for everyone. One broadcast with neutral subject lines (for example "This month: small rituals") to the whole list, with an A/B split to test two subject lines.
  7. Watch client status. When a client shows as quiet or at risk, send a personal message rather than another automated email.

What red flags and switching costs should you watch for?

Most email regret comes from picking for one feature and discovering the costs later. Check these before you commit:

  • Double-counted contacts. If a tool charges per contact per audience, separate singles and couples lists inflate your bill. Prefer one list with tags.
  • Free plans that cannot nurture. Several free tiers exclude automations (Kit, Mailchimp) or sending entirely (Flodesk). A free plan that cannot send a discovery-call sequence is a holding pen, not a marketing tool.
  • Clients still getting sales emails. If the tool cannot see payments or bookings, you will tag clients by hand. Missed tags mean a couple in week four gets "Is your relationship worth saving?" That damages trust fast.
  • Sensitive subject lines. Write subject lines you would be comfortable with a partner reading. Send reflective or personal material through a client portal, not email.
  • Consent and unsubscribe rules. Commercial email must follow rules such as the US CAN-SPAM Act (a working unsubscribe link and your physical address) and, for EU subscribers, the GDPR. Rules vary by country, so check with an attorney if you are unsure.
  • Switching costs. Moving a list is easy (a CSV export). Moving automations, sequences and landing pages is not; they usually have to be rebuilt by hand. With Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and you can export your full client data as a ZIP if you ever leave.
  • Scope creep. Relationship coaching is not therapy. If emails or intake answers reveal abuse, safety risks or a mental health crisis, refer to a licensed professional or a local crisis service. No email platform changes that.

For the full intake side of this, see our guide to intake form software for relationship coaches.

What is the verdict?

For most relationship coaches who sell discovery calls and programs, Coachful is the best choice, because the emails sit next to the bookings, agreements, payments and couples programs they are meant to support, and the free white-glove build removes most of the setup work. If you only need a standalone email tool, MailerLite gives the most for the money and includes simple bookings. Choose Kit if your newsletter is the business, ActiveCampaign if advanced segmentation across several audiences is essential, and Practice Better only if you also practise under a clinical license. For the wider stack, see our roundup of the best tools for relationship coaches, or explore email marketing in Coachful.

In short: Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, combining email, funnels, booking, payments, agreements and program delivery in one login. It is not a specialist email platform with deep deliverability tooling, not HIPAA-certified, and has no PayPal. To start, take a free trial and request the free white-glove build for your first funnel or sequence.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best email marketing for relationship coaches?

For coaches who sell calls and programs, Coachful, because email shares an account with booking, agreements and client programs. For a standalone email tool, MailerLite offers the best value, and ActiveCampaign the deepest automation.

Do I need a separate email tool if I use coaching software?

Not always. If your coaching platform includes lists, broadcasts and sequences, as Coachful does, a separate tool adds cost and another place to keep contacts in sync. You would add one mainly for very large lists or advanced segmentation.

How should I segment singles and couples?

Use one list with tags or groups rather than separate audiences, so a contact is not counted twice. Tag by the lead magnet they chose and by an intake answer such as "booking alone or with a partner."

Can both partners be on my email list?

Yes, but give each partner their own contact record and consent. Do not assume one partner can sign the other up, and keep personal follow-ups out of shared inboxes.

What does Coachful's free white-glove service include?

You describe what you want built, such as a funnel, email sequence, newsletter, website or program, and attach up to 8 links and 10 files. The Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours, without inventing testimonials, credentials or prices. It does not cover video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.

Which free email plan works best for a new relationship coach?

MailerLite's free plan allows automations (3 active, 5 steps each) up to 250 subscribers. Kit's free plan covers 10,000 subscribers but excludes sequences. Systeme.io's free plan includes 2,000 contacts with one automation rule.

Is any of these tools suitable for therapy records?

Practice Better lists HIPAA compliance on its pricing page, and GoHighLevel sells HIPAA as an add-on. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, so licensed therapists should keep clinical records in a clinical system.

How many emails should a discovery-call sequence have?

A common starting point is four to six emails over about two weeks, ending with a clear booking link. Stop the sequence as soon as someone books, so they are not still being asked to book.

How hard is it to switch email tools?

Exporting the list is simple. Rebuilding automations, forms and landing pages is the real work, so plan a week or two and run both tools briefly to avoid gaps.

Does Coachful replace my booking tool too?

Yes. Coachful includes booking pages with calendar sync, intake questions and reminders, plus paid sessions and session credits, so the email and booking data live together. See our best app for relationship coaches guide for more.
