10 Best Course Platforms for Relationship Coaches (2026 Guide)

The best course platforms for relationship coaches do more than host video lessons. A couple who buys your communication course also needs a discovery call that suits two calendars, an agreement that sets out what coaching covers, a weekly nudge between sessions and somewhere to belong once the last module is done. So the real question is not "which tool plays video best?" It is "which tool carries a couple, or a single client working on dating or a breakup, from the first lesson to the renewal without handing them to four other apps along the way?"
Our pick is Coachful. It puts booking, payments, e-signed agreements, courses, multi-week programs with habits and check-ins, a community, a website with funnels and email under one login, and your clients see all of it in one branded app. We make Coachful, so read the ranking with that in mind: we list every other platform at its published October 2026 price, name its real strengths and say plainly when it is the better buy.
One scope note before the tools. Relationship coaching is forward-looking work on communication, habits and goals; it is not couples therapy, which treats mental-health conditions and is usually delivered by licensed clinicians (relationship counseling overview). If a client discloses abuse, coercive control, active addiction or thoughts of self-harm, a course is the wrong container: refer them to a licensed professional or, for abuse, to a service such as the National Domestic Violence Hotline in the US. The ICF Code of Ethics asks coaches to make that kind of referral when a client's needs fall outside coaching. Our guide to what relationship coaching is covers the boundary in more depth.
What does a relationship coach's client journey need from a course platform?
It needs four stages to connect: attract, enroll, deliver and retain. Most course platforms are strong at one or two of them, and the gaps show up as extra subscriptions and extra logins for clients who are already stretched.
Attract: a lead magnet that speaks to one situation
Relationship coaches rarely sell to "everyone in a relationship." They sell to engaged couples preparing for marriage, parents who stopped talking after the second child, singles tired of dating apps, or someone rebuilding after divorce. The platform has to host a free mini-course or quiz for that one situation, capture the email, and run a short sequence that leads to a discovery call. A website that explains your method and a link-in-bio page for social traffic belong here too; our guide to a relationship coach website people book shows what that page needs, and mini course or signature course helps you decide what to give away.
Enroll: two people, one decision
Couples programs are often a larger purchase, and two people have to agree to it. That means booking pages that handle time zones and buffers, intake questions both partners can answer, payment plans, and a coaching agreement signed before the first call that spells out confidentiality between partners, what happens if one person leaves the program, and when you will refer out. Our page on coaching contracts covers the agreement side.
Deliver: the course plus the practice
Watching a lesson on active listening changes little on its own. The change comes from the practice: a daily appreciation, a weekly relationship check-in, a short reflection after a hard conversation. A good platform for this niche pairs course modules with habits, check-ins and live calls, and lets each partner reflect privately. The relationship check-in agenda template is a good example of the kind of weekly ritual a program can schedule. Cohorts of couples who start together also work well, as our guide to cohort course design explains.
Retain: after the last module
Couples drift back into old patterns months later. A maintenance membership, a monthly alumni call or a quiet community space keeps them connected, and a clear ending process keeps the relationship with you professional; see ending a coaching relationship. The platform should make renewals, subscriptions and an alumni group simple.
Which platform covers which stage of the couples journey?
Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery (habits, check-ins, programs), total stack cost at a realistic client count, and setup effort, including whether someone will build it for you.
| Platform (rank) | Attract | Enroll | Deliver | Retain |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful (1) | Website, booking and lead-magnet funnels, email sequences, link-in-bio page | Booking pages, Stripe or Razorpay payments, payment plans, e-signed agreements | Courses, multi-week programs, habits, morning and evening check-ins | Community, automatic cohort groups, subscriptions, AI Coach between sessions |
| Kajabi (2) | Website, funnels, email | Kajabi Payments checkout | Courses and communities; no habits or daily check-ins | Community (one on Basic) |

| Thinkific (4) | Course site | Thinkific Payments; no built-in 1:1 booking | Courses, live community events | Communities, memberships |
| LearnWorlds (5) | Website builder, page funnels, mass email | Checkout | Courses, SCORM, interactive video | Course-led; no per-client follow-up |
| Practice Better (6) | Booking page | Scheduling, packages, Stripe-powered payments | Fixed-date, self-paced and evergreen programs (by plan), journaling | Group sessions, messaging |
| Teachable (7) | Digital product storefront | Teachable Payments; no native scheduling | Courses, student mobile apps | Needs another tool |
| Kartra (8) | Pages, funnels, email and SMS | Calendars, checkout | Memberships and courses; no check-ins | Memberships, helpdesk |
| Systeme.io (9) | Funnels, email, blog | Checkout; no native 1:1 scheduling | Basic courses | Basic community, affiliate program |
| Stan Store (10) | Link-in-bio store | Paid calls, checkout | Courses and digital products; no programs | Memberships |
How did we choose and rank these 10 platforms?
We started from what a relationship coach actually sells: a free or low-cost entry course, a signature couples or singles program with live calls, and a maintenance offer. Each platform was scored on how much of that journey it covers natively, what it costs at 5, 15 and 40 coaching clients, how many separate logins a couple ends up juggling, and how much setup the coach must do alone.
We did not run hands-on tests of every plan. Prices and limits come from each vendor's pricing and feature pages as listed in October 2026; points marked as profile data come from vendor documentation reviewed in September 2026. Where we mention ratings, they are Trustpilot scores seen on October 25, 2026, which reflect what public reviewers report rather than our own verdict. Direct coaching-practice tools sit mid-table because they overlap with Coachful; pure course tools rank by how well they fit couples work. For the wider category, see our parent guide to the best course creation platforms for coaches.
1. Coachful: one login from first lesson to renewal

Coachful is a coaching platform built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login; each client gets one app carrying the coach's branding. It suits solo relationship coaches growing into a small team and anyone replacing four to six separate tools. It does not do clinical record-keeping or insurance billing, it is not HIPAA-certified, it does not take PayPal, and there is no permanent free plan. To start, open a free trial and ask the team to build your first site, funnel or program through the free white-glove service.
The course is only half the product
The course builder handles modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, and 48 course templates with quizzes give you a starting structure. A "Fighting Fair" course can drip one module a week while the couple works through it. Courses sit next to downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles in the client's branded home, so a conflict-styles worksheet and a recorded workshop live in the same place as the lessons.

Where Coachful differs from every pure course tool on this list is the program layer. A multi-week program can carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. For a couples program that might be a daily "one specific appreciation" habit, an evening check-in asking how connected each person felt, and a weekly goal to hold the 30-minute relationship check-in. If you enroll each partner as a client, each has their own record and their own check-ins, which gives both people a private place to reflect before a joint session.

Here is a walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered:
Booking, agreements and payments for two people
Booking pages have availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Intake questions on the booking form let you ask what brought the couple in before the discovery call, and reminders go out by email, with SMS and WhatsApp once messaging is enabled. Coaching agreements are sent for e-signature before the first call and stored on the client record. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with one-time charges, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, order bumps, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.
Cohorts, community and between-session support
Cohort groups are created automatically when clients enroll in a program, so a spring cohort of engaged couples gets its own space without manual setup. There is a community feed, group chat, direct messages, video events, group calls and webinars. The client record pulls goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions together and labels each client thriving, active, quiet or at risk, which helps you spot a couple going silent in week four.

Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it drafts emails and course content, builds programs, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each call. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. The separate AI Coach lets selected clients chat with an AI version of you between sessions, configured by you, which is useful for "how do I start the check-in conversation?" questions and not a substitute for a referral when something serious comes up. ICF credential tracking counts your coaching hours against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds, which matters if you are working toward a credential.
Price and limits
Plans are flat and monthly: lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add coach seats (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Monthly plans cancel in one click. The limits are worth stating again: no PayPal, no HIPAA business associate agreement, the client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than your own App Store account, it is not a course marketplace where strangers browse for courses, and there are no third-party plugins.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, then "We'll build it for you," you describe what you need and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. For a relationship coach that could be a website, a lead-magnet funnel for a free "five conversations before you move in" mini-course, a sales page for a couples program, the program itself, a course outline with written lesson material, an email sequence or an intake form. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos or existing copy. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording your videos, logo design or running ads. One recent build: a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. Read more in our post on the free white-glove service.

2. Kajabi: the polished course business, if you can carry the cost

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. For a relationship coach with an audience already in place, say a podcast about marriage or an Instagram account for singles, it offers a mature way to sell several courses, run a community and send email from one dashboard. Its marketing side is its strength: funnels and email live next to the products they sell.
As listed in October 2026, Basic costs $179/month ($143/month billed annually) for 5 products, 2,500 contacts, one community, one website, 2 admin users and no AI credits. Growth is $249/month ($199 annual) with 50 products, 25,000 contacts and 500 AI credits. Pro is $499/month ($399 annual). Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling slightly on higher plans; using another processor (other than PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. The standard trial is 14 days; a card is optional, but if you enter one Kajabi places an authorization hold, and some features such as bulk contact import stay locked until you pay.
For couples work the gap is between sessions. Kajabi's coaching model is products and communities, not per-client plans: there is no habit tracking and no daily client check-ins. A coach who wants partners to log a daily appreciation or answer a weekly connection question ends up adding another tool. The five-product cap on Basic also bites sooner than it sounds when you count a free mini-course, a singles course, a couples course, a premarital course and a membership. Public reviewers on Trustpilot give it 3.4 from 2,347 reviews.
Pick it over Coachful if you are primarily a course and content business with a large audience, you sell many self-paced products at volume, and between-session coaching is a small part of what you do.
3. Podia: a simple shop for a small catalogue

Podia is a storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and community. Its appeal for a new relationship coach is simplicity: you can put a free "repair after an argument" guide, a short course and a bookable session on one page without learning a funnel builder. The 14-day trial gives full access without a credit card or plan choice, which lowers the cost of finding out.
The plans, as listed in October 2026: Mover at $49/month ($42 annual) with 50 products and 100 email subscribers included, plus a 5% Podia transaction fee; Shaker at $99/month ($84 annual) with 150 products, 500 email subscribers and 0% fee; Earthquaker at $179/month ($150 annual) with unlimited products and 1,000 email subscribers. Stripe or PayPal processing applies on top.
The limits matter for this niche. Email allowances are small: if your attract stage depends on a free quiz that pulls in a few hundred singles a month, you will outgrow 100 subscribers in weeks. According to its September 2026 profile, Podia has no mobile app and no native video calls, so live couples sessions run on a separate video tool. There are no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. Trustpilot reviewers rate it 4.1 from 153 reviews.
Pick it over Coachful if you mainly sell a handful of self-paced courses and downloads, want PayPal at checkout, and do very little structured follow-up between sessions.
4. Thinkific: the course engine with live community events

Thinkific is a course platform with communities, memberships and coaching or webinar products. If your relationship business is built around a substantial self-paced curriculum, such as a 12-module premarital course sold to many couples at once, Thinkific's course tooling and community spaces are built for that kind of volume. The Start plan allows 10,000 current students and five live community events, which could cover a regular Q&A with past couples.
Prices rose about 10% on August 13, 2026. As listed in October 2026, Start costs $109/month ($82 annual) with 2 admins and one community; Grow is $219/month ($164 annual); Expand is $499/month ($374 annual). There is a 30-day trial on every self-serve plan. Thinkific Payments carries no Thinkific transaction fee and processes at about 2.9%; third-party gateways add a per-plan fee that the pricing page does not list. A branded mobile app is a $199/month add-on.
The gap is one-to-one work. Based on its September 2026 profile, Thinkific has no built-in 1:1 scheduling; coaching relies on external booking links. There are no habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans, so you would pair it with a separate practice tool for the couples you coach privately. Trustpilot shows 1.8 from 868 reviews, which is worth reading before you commit to annual billing.
Pick it over Coachful if your income comes mostly from large self-paced course enrollments, you want deep course features, and private couples coaching is a minor add-on you are happy to run elsewhere.
5. LearnWorlds: for coaches who think like instructional designers

LearnWorlds is a course and learning-management platform with a website builder, page funnels, SCORM support and interactive video. A relationship coach who wants to pause a video on a conflict scene and ask the learner "what would you say next?" will find that interactive layer useful, and the 30-day trial (no credit card, according to LearnWorlds) leaves time to build a real module.
As listed in October 2026, Starter is $29/month ($24 annual) with one admin and 1,000 active learners a month, but charges $5 per paid enrollment. Pro Trainer is $99/month ($79 annual) with no LearnWorlds fee, 5 admins, 2,000 active learners a month, 15 page funnels and 2,000 mass emails a month. Learning Center is $299/month ($249 annual). Stripe or PayPal fees of 2.9% + $0.30 apply. Note the trial rule: the school is scheduled for deletion if you do not upgrade.
On Starter, the per-enrollment fee changes the math. In an example month where 20 people buy a $97 singles course, that is $100 in LearnWorlds fees on top of the $29 plan. The bigger issue for this niche is that LearnWorlds is not built for one-to-one client management, habits or check-ins, and a branded mobile app is a separately priced add-on. Trustpilot reviewers rate it 4.8 from 423 reviews.
Pick it over Coachful if your product is a carefully designed self-paced curriculum where interactive video and assessments matter more than live coaching, or if you also sell training to organizations that require SCORM.
6. Practice Better: when you want a health-practice backbone

Practice Better describes itself as an all-in-one practice platform and EHR for health and wellness practitioners. It is the closest direct substitute for Coachful on this list: scheduling, packages, Stripe-powered payments, a client portal and mobile app, secure messaging, journaling, telehealth video and programs. For a relationship coach who also works alongside therapists or who wants HIPAA, PIPEDA and GDPR compliance, which Practice Better lists on its pricing page, that matters.
Its pricing page, checked on October 25, 2026, lists a free Sprout plan for 3 clients; Starter at $35/month for 10 clients; Professional at $69/month for 300 clients with fixed-date programs, group scheduling and payment plans; Plus at $99/month with unlimited clients, self-paced and evergreen programs and portal branding; and Team at $155/month with two practitioner licenses. Annual billing is cheaper. Paid plans have a 14-day trial, and Team has 30 days.
The fit question is about which tier you need. Programs start at Professional, and self-paced or evergreen courses, the format most relationship coaches sell to strangers, need Plus. Its pricing page does not list a website builder or sales funnels, so plan for the attract stage to happen elsewhere. Its vocabulary of charting, protocols and ePrescribe add-ons reflects its health-practitioner audience more than couples coaching.
Pick it over Coachful if you need a signed HIPAA-compliant setup, you work in an integrated practice with clinicians, or your client base is closer to health and wellness than to relationships and dating.
7. Teachable: course sales with student apps

Teachable is a course and digital-product platform that ships student mobile apps. That app is a quiet advantage for relationship work: a partner commuting to work can finish a ten-minute lesson on bids for connection on their phone. Teachable also handles PayPal, which some couples prefer at checkout.
As listed in October 2026, Starter is $39/month ($29 annual) with 5 products and a 7.5% platform fee. Builder is $89/month ($69 annual) with 10 products and no platform fee. Growth is $189/month ($139 annual) with 50 products and 5 admins. Teachable Payments charges 2.9% + 30¢ on US cards, 3.9% + 30¢ internationally, and $15 per chargeback. Plan cards show a 7-day trial and a 30-day guarantee.
The 7.5% fee on Starter is the trap: on an example $1,200 couples program, that is $90 per sale before processing. According to its September 2026 profile, Teachable has no native scheduling or calendar sync, so coaching calls rely on separate booking and video tools, and there are no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. Trustpilot reviewers give it 3.3 from 1,110 reviews.
Pick it over Coachful if you sell self-paced courses to a broad audience, want students on a dedicated learning app, and need PayPal at checkout.
8. Kartra: marketing first, courses second

Kartra is an all-in-one marketing suite: pages, funnels, email and SMS, memberships, calendars and a helpdesk. A relationship coach who runs paid ads to a webinar on "rebuilding trust after betrayal" and then sells a course on the replay will appreciate having the funnel, the email follow-up and the membership in one system.
As listed in October 2026, Essentials is $59/month ($52 annual) with 500 contacts, 5 pages, one product, one membership or course and a 5% transaction fee. Starter is $119/month ($99 annual) with 2,500 contacts, unlimited pages, products and memberships, unlimited email and SMS and 0% fee. Growth is $229/month and Professional $549/month. There is a 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Essentials is too tight for most relationship coaches: one course and 500 contacts disappear quickly once a free quiz starts working. According to its September 2026 profile, Kartra has no mobile app for students or admins, and funnels and memberships are not portable to other platforms, so leaving later means rebuilding. There are no habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans. Trustpilot shows 3.2 from 129 reviews.
Pick it over Coachful if paid advertising and complex funnels drive your business, you want SMS broadcasts built in, and course delivery is a supporting piece rather than the core.
9. Systeme.io: the budget starting point

Systeme.io is a low-cost marketing suite with funnels, email, courses, a basic community, a blog and an affiliate program. Its free plan never expires and needs no credit card, which makes it a sensible place to test whether singles will download a "first-date conversation guide" before you spend anything.
As listed in October 2026: Free at $0 with 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, one course and 500 students; Startup at $17/month with 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 5 courses; Webinar at $47/month; Unlimited at $97/month. Systeme.io charges 0% transaction fees on all plans, including the free one, so only Stripe or PayPal processing applies.
The trade-off is depth. According to its September 2026 profile, there is no native one-to-one scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, the community and course features are basic, and there is no branded mobile app. Once you coach couples privately, you will add a booking and client-management tool. Trustpilot reviewers rate it 4.9 from 8,696 reviews, the highest volume on this list.
Pick it over Coachful if you are validating a first lead magnet with no budget, you only need funnels, email and a simple course, and you are comfortable adding coaching tools later.
10. Stan Store: a storefront for social-first coaches

Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls. Dating coaches who grow on TikTok or Instagram often start here: a profile link leads straight to a $27 texting guide, a mini-course and a bookable call.
As listed in October 2026, Creator is $29/month ($25 annual) with unlimited products and customers; Creator Pro is $99/month ($79 annual) and adds email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates. Stan takes 0% of sales; standard Stripe or PayPal processing applies. Both plans have a 14-day trial, with the first month charged when it ends.
For relationship work it stops at the sale. There are no contracts, invoices or client records, no programs with tasks, habits or check-ins, and no advertised team seats. Email, which most coaches need for the attract stage, needs Creator Pro. Trustpilot shows 4.7 from 2,205 reviews.
Pick it over Coachful if nearly all your sales come from one social profile, your products are low-priced downloads and calls, and you are not yet running structured programs for couples.
What will you pay at 5, 15 and 40 coaching clients?
Client count is what moves Coachful's plan; for most course tools the bill moves with products, contacts and transaction fees instead. This table shows the cheapest listed plan that realistically covers each client level for a relationship coach selling at least one course, at monthly billing as listed in October 2026.
| Platform | 5 clients | 15 clients | 40 clients | Platform fee on sales |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | 0%; Stripe or Razorpay processing only |
| Kajabi | Basic $179 | Basic $179 | Basic $179 (5 products max) | None on Kajabi Payments; +2% on Basic with other processors |
| Podia | Mover $49 | Shaker $99 | Shaker $99 | 5% on Mover; 0% from Shaker |
| Thinkific | Start $109 | Start $109 | Start $109 | 0% on Thinkific Payments |
| LearnWorlds | Starter $29 + $5 per paid enrollment | Pro Trainer $99 | Pro Trainer $99 | $5 per enrollment on Starter; none above |
| Practice Better | Professional $69 (Starter has no programs) | Plus $99 for self-paced courses | Plus $99 | Not listed on the pricing page |
| Teachable | Builder $89 | Builder $89 | Builder $89 | 7.5% on Starter; 0% from Builder |
| Kartra | Essentials $59 | Starter $119 | Starter $119 | 5% on Essentials; 0% on Starter |
| Systeme.io | Free $0 | Startup $17 | Startup $17 | 0% on all plans |
| Stan Store | Creator $29 | Creator Pro $99 (for email) | Creator Pro $99 | 0% |
Two caveats. The course-only tools in this table still need separate booking, agreement and check-in tools for private couples coaching, which the next section prices. And processor fees (usually about 2.9% plus a fixed amount per charge in the US) apply on every platform. For a closer look at checkout options, see our comparison of payment platforms for coaches.
All-in-one or assembled: which stack costs less?
An assembled stack can work, but every extra tool adds a login for the couple and a monthly line for you. These example recipes use only tools priced in this article, at monthly list prices from October 2026, for a coach with about 15 clients.
| Recipe | Tools | Monthly list price | Logins per client | Still missing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful (all-in-one) | Coachful | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | 1 branded app | PayPal, HIPAA agreement |
| Course shop plus practice tool | Podia Shaker + Practice Better Plus | $198 | 2 | Website funnels beyond a storefront; one shared community |
| Budget starter | Systeme.io Startup + Practice Better Professional | $86 | 2 | Self-paced programs inside the practice tool; cohort groups |
| Social-first creator | Stan Store Creator Pro + Thinkific Start | $208 | 2 or more | 1:1 booking, agreements, check-ins |
| Big suite | Kajabi Growth | $249 plus booking and e-signature tools | 2 or more | Booking, agreements, habits, check-ins |
The cheapest assembled recipe looks attractive until a couple has to remember which app holds the lesson and which holds the check-in. For a broader view of tool combinations in this niche, see the best tools for relationship coaches and the best coaching software for relationship coaches.
How a relationship coach sets this up in Coachful, step by step

Take an example coach who runs an eight-week "Reconnect" program for couples with young children, plus a free mini-course as the entry point.
- Request the build. Under Create, use the free white-glove form to ask for a homepage, an About page and a lead-magnet funnel for a three-lesson mini-course called "The 10-Minute Evening Check-in." Attach your logo, photos and any existing copy.
- Write the mini-course. Start from one of the 48 course templates, record three short videos on your phone and set them to drip one per day. Michelle can draft the lesson summaries and the follow-up email sequence for you to edit.
- Set up the discovery call. Create a booking page with a 15-minute buffer and time-zone detection, and add intake questions such as "What would be different in three months if this worked?" for each partner.
- Prepare the agreement. Write a coaching agreement covering scope, confidentiality between partners and when you refer to a therapist, and send it for e-signature before the first session.
- Build the program. Eight weekly goals, one short course module each week, a daily appreciation habit, an evening check-in and a weekly prompt to hold the relationship check-in conversation. Enroll both partners so each has private reflections.
- Price it. Offer a one-time payment and a three-part payment plan through your Stripe account, with a coupon for past mini-course students. For setting your own fee, our guide to becoming a relationship coach covers how coaches think about pricing.
- Launch as a cohort. Enroll the first group on the same start date; the cohort group is created automatically, and you add a fortnightly group call as a video event.
- Plan retention. Create a monthly subscription for alumni with a community space and one live call a month, and watch the quiet and at-risk labels to check in with couples who drop off.
How do you move your courses and couples without losing anyone?
Move between cohorts, not in the middle of one. A couple halfway through a program should finish where they started; new enrollments go to the new platform.
- Export everything first. Download your video files, lesson text, worksheets, student list and purchase history while your old subscription is active. Some platforms lock features when a plan lapses.
- Respect consent when you move email lists. Import only subscribers who agreed to hear from you, and keep a record of when and how they signed up.
- Re-paper active clients. If your agreement changes with the move, send the new version for signature before the next session rather than assuming the old one carries over.
- Redirect old links. Your free mini-course link is probably in podcast notes and old posts. Point it at the new page on the day you switch.
- Tell clients once, with dates. One short email: what changes, when, what they need to do, and who to contact.
- Use the help on offer. When you move to Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. If you leave later, a full client data export as a ZIP and a course export are available.
Our guide to client management platforms for coaches covers what a client record should hold after the move.
Which mistakes cost relationship coaches the most?
- Buying a course tool and calling it a coaching platform. Most tools on this list sell and deliver lessons well; few support a daily habit or a weekly check-in for each partner.
- Comparing entry prices and ignoring fees. Teachable Starter takes 7.5%, Podia Mover and Kartra Essentials 5%, and LearnWorlds Starter $5 per paid enrollment. On a high-priced couples program, the fee can exceed the plan.
- Hitting a contact or product cap in month two. Kartra Essentials stops at 500 contacts, Podia Mover includes 100 email subscribers, and Kajabi Basic allows 5 products.
- Forgetting the second partner. Many course tools assume one buyer is one learner. Check how a second person gets access before you build the sales page.
- Running an open community for couples. Intimate details do not belong in a feed everyone can read. Set posting guidelines and use cohort groups or direct messages for anything personal.
- Drifting into therapy. Course content on trauma, infidelity or abuse needs clear limits and a referral path. Our guide on things to know before becoming a relationship coach covers this.
Which course platform should a relationship coach pick?
Pick Coachful if you coach couples or singles through programs, not just sell them videos. It covers attract, enroll, deliver and retain under one login, with habits and check-ins for each partner, e-signed agreements, automatic cohort groups and a 0% platform fee, and the free white-glove build removes most of the setup work. Choose Kajabi or Thinkific if you run a large self-paced course business and coaching is a side line; Practice Better if you need a HIPAA-compliant practice backbone; and Systeme.io or Stan Store if you are testing your first lead magnet on almost no budget. For more on course setup itself, read how to create an online course your coaching clients finish, and see how Coachful handles courses on the online course platform for coaches page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best course platform for relationship coaches?
Coachful is our pick, because it pairs courses with the program layer couples need between sessions: habits, check-ins, booking, agreements and a community in one branded app. Pure course tools such as Kajabi and Thinkific are strong if you mainly sell self-paced content. We make Coachful, so compare the prices and limits above against your own offer.
Can both partners take a course with separate logins?
That depends on how each platform handles access, and many course tools assume one buyer equals one learner. Before you build a sales page, test in the trial whether a second partner can be added and whether their progress and reflections stay private. In Coachful you can enroll each partner as a client so each has their own record and check-ins.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a business associate agreement, and it is not meant for clinical records or insurance billing. It is GDPR-ready. If your work requires HIPAA compliance, Practice Better lists HIPAA, PIPEDA and GDPR compliance on its pricing page.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
From Create, you describe what you want built, such as a website, a funnel, a program, a course outline with written material or an email sequence, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. You can attach up to 8 links and 10 files. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management, and nothing like credentials or testimonials is invented. It is free on every plan.
Which platform is cheapest for a new relationship coach?
Systeme.io has a free plan with one course and 500 students and charges 0% transaction fees, which makes it the cheapest place to test a lead magnet. Stan Store's Creator plan is $29 a month for a social-first storefront. Both need extra tools once you coach couples privately, so compare the full stack, not the entry plan.
Do Teachable and Thinkific include booking for coaching calls?
According to their September 2026 profiles, neither has built-in one-to-one scheduling; coaching calls rely on external booking links and video tools. That adds at least one subscription and one more place for a couple to look. Factor it into the stack cost.
Should my first course be a free mini-course or a full program?
Most relationship coaches start with a short free or low-cost course on one specific situation, then invite completers into a coached program. Our guide to mini course versus signature course walks through the choice.
Can I run a couples course as a cohort?
Yes, on several platforms. Coachful creates a cohort group automatically when clients enroll in a program, Practice Better offers fixed-date programs from its Professional plan, and Thinkific includes live community events. See our group coaching software page for how cohorts and group calls fit together.
Can I accept PayPal for my course?
Coachful does not support PayPal; it takes payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Teachable, Podia, LearnWorlds, Systeme.io and Stan Store list PayPal as an option. If many of your buyers ask for PayPal, weigh that against the rest of the journey.
Is relationship coaching the same as couples therapy?
No. Coaching works on goals, communication and habits; therapy treats mental-health conditions and is delivered by licensed clinicians. When a client describes abuse, addiction or a mental-health crisis, refer them to a licensed professional or an appropriate service. Our guide on signs you need a relationship coach covers when coaching fits and when it does not.
