Top 12 Community Platforms for Spiritual Coaches in 2026

Top 12 Community Platforms for Spiritual Coaches in 2026

The best community platforms for spiritual coaches do more than host a feed. They hold a circle between gatherings, carry a daily practice like meditation or journaling, book the private 1:1 sessions where the deeper work happens, and take payment without a heavy percentage cut. Choose the tool that covers all four with the fewest logins, and your members feel held instead of scattered across five apps.

Our pick is Coachful, because it puts the community, programs with daily habits and check-ins, 1:1 booking, agreements and payments in one place, with one branded app for your clients. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the honest notes on the eleven alternatives below. Several of them are excellent at community alone, and for some practices that is enough.

This guide works as a decision tool first. Answer five questions about your practice, see which tools match your answers, then read the ranked sections, the cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients, and the red flags that make switching painful later. If you want the wider software picture, start with our guide to the best software for spiritual coaches; for the general category, see the group coaching community platform buying guide.

What do spiritual coaches need from a community platform?

Spiritual coaches need a space that feels safe enough for vulnerable sharing, a rhythm that brings members back daily, and a bridge between group circles and private sessions. Most community tools were built for creators broadcasting to an audience, which is a different job.

Think about how a spiritual coaching practice actually runs. A new client often finds you through a free meditation, a moon circle or a short workshop. They join a group program, perhaps eight weeks on intuition, grief and meaning, or a return to a contemplative practice. Between live calls they meditate, journal and reflect, and the coach wants to know who is practising and who has gone quiet. Some members then book 1:1 sessions, sign an agreement, and pay in installments. Others stay in a membership circle for years.

That journey creates specific demands:

  • Privacy and tone. Members share loss, doubt and spiritual experiences. Gamified points and public leaderboards can feel wrong in that room, and private cohort spaces matter more than a big public feed.
  • Daily practice, not just posts. A meditation habit, a morning intention and an evening reflection are the substance of the work. A feed alone does not track them.
  • Live gatherings across time zones. New moon circles, breathwork sessions and Q&As draw members from several continents, so time-zone detection and reminders matter.
  • 1:1 sessions next to the group. Many spiritual coaches also sell private work, which needs booking, intake questions and a signed agreement.
  • Flexible pricing. Payment plans and coupons let you offer sliding-scale or community rates without manual invoicing.
  • Clear scope. Spiritual coaching is not therapy or medical care. The platform should help you keep notes and boundaries, and you need a referral plan for members in crisis.

For more on how the work itself is defined, read what spiritual coaching is and how to choose well, and if you are still building your practice, our guide to becoming a spiritual life coach.

Which five questions should you answer before choosing?

Answer these five questions honestly and the shortlist almost writes itself. Each answer points to a different kind of tool.

  1. Do you sell 1:1 sessions alongside your circle? If yes, you need booking, agreements and client records, not just a feed. Pure community tools will push you into a second app for scheduling.
  2. Is a daily practice part of your method? If members meditate, journal or follow morning and evening rituals that you want to see, you need habits and check-ins. Most community platforms have no way to track them.
  3. Is your group a cohort or an ongoing membership? Cohorts (an eight-week program that starts on a date) need groups created on enrollment. Open memberships need recurring billing and a feed that stays alive.
  4. How large will the community get? Under 50 paying members, a percentage fee on sales is small. At several hundred, a 2% to 10% platform fee can cost more than the subscription.
  5. Do you already have a website and email list you love? If not, a tool that includes a site, funnels and email saves you three more subscriptions.

How we ranked: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery of daily practice, total stack cost at your client count, and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build).

Build your platform

How did we choose and rank these 12 platforms?

We started from what spiritual coaches run day to day (circles, daily practice, 1:1 sessions, sliding-scale offers) and checked each vendor's documented features and pricing against it. We did not test these tools hands-on; prices come from each vendor's pricing page as listed in October 2026, and where a page left a figure unclear, we say so. Public review scores are quoted where they help, with the count.

Tools that cover the whole client journey rank higher than tools that cover only the feed. Percentage fees on sales count against a tool because spiritual memberships can grow slowly and run for years. Gamification counts against a tool only where it cannot be turned down, because it can clash with contemplative work.

1. Coachful: why is it the best community platform for spiritual coaches?

A laptop showing program-linked groups and a tablet showing a habit tracker on a wooden bench beside a meditation cushion and mala beads
Coachful's Squads view with program-linked groups on the laptop and a client's habit tracker on the tablet, beside a meditation cushion and mala beads.

Coachful is the only platform in this list where the circle, the daily practice and the private sessions live under one login. A member can read the community feed, log their morning meditation, answer an evening reflection, book a 1:1 and pay for it without leaving your branded space, and you see all of it on one client record.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, and for solo coaches who may grow into a small team. It does not do clinical record-keeping or insurance billing, is not HIPAA-certified, has no PayPal and no permanent free plan. To start, take a free trial and request the free white-glove build described below. See our Coachful for spiritual coaches page for the niche overview.

The community itself. Coachful includes a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. When someone enrolls in a program, a cohort group is created for them automatically, so your eight-week "Returning to Stillness" circle (an illustrative name) gets its own private space without manual setup. Group calls and webinars run from the same place, which suits new moon gatherings, breathwork sessions and open Q&As. Read more on the community platform for coaches page.

Daily practice that you can actually see. This is where spiritual coaches gain the most. Programs carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, and morning and evening check-ins, with goals shown as progress bars and streaks. A meditation habit, a journaling prompt and a gratitude reflection become trackable without asking members to post publicly. Each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, and labels the client as thriving, active, quiet or at risk. A member who stops checking in shows up as quiet, so you can reach out gently before they drift away.

The private side of the practice. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync. Sessions run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Intake questions on booking let you ask what brings someone to spiritual coaching before the first call, and a coaching agreement with e-signature goes out before that call and stays on the record. That agreement is where you state that coaching is not therapy.

Payments and offers. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, order bumps, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee (since August 2026); you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coupons and payment plans are the practical way to offer a community rate or sliding scale. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.

Courses, website and email. Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking hold recorded meditations and teachings. The section-based website builder includes a blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates, with booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences cover the welcome series for a free meditation download. Our post on building a spiritual coach website walks through the pages that matter.

Michelle and the AI Coach. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it drafts emails and content, builds programs, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each session. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. The AI Coach is an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions, configured by you, so a member can keep reflecting between circles.

This short walkthrough shows how community channels are set up in Coachful:

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you · FREE, describe what you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logos, photos, brand guides, copy), and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. That can be your website, a funnel for a free guided meditation, a sales page for a retreat or circle, a program, a course outline, an email sequence or an event page. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices; gaps are left for you to fill. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi, for example, had their homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management. Details are in our post on the free white-glove service.

Limits to know. There is no PayPal, so members who only pay by PayPal need a card or wallet. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. It is not a course marketplace, so it will not bring you strangers browsing for courses. Public reviewers on Trustpilot rate it 4.5 from 21 reviews, a small sample.

2. Circle: is it the strongest pure community tool?

Circle's homepage presenting its community platform for courses, events and memberships
Circle's homepage in October 2026.

For a coach whose offer is the community itself, Circle is the most flexible space builder here. It combines discussion spaces, courses, events, live streams and paid memberships, and you can arrange spaces so a weekly circle, a practice journal thread and a members-only library each have their own room.

For spiritual coaches, that structure is useful. You can keep an open space for newcomers, a closed space for a cohort exploring grief or purpose, and an events area for full moon gatherings. Live streams handle teaching sessions without a separate video tool. The admin and moderator allowances (3 admins and 10 moderators on Professional) also help if trusted long-time members hold space for others.

Pricing, as listed in October 2026: Professional is $89 a month billed annually, Business $199, Scale $419, and Circle Plus is custom-priced. Monthly-billing prices for these plans were not shown. There is a 14-day free trial on Professional, Business and Scale with no credit card required. On top of Stripe processing, Circle takes a fee on payments: 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, 0.5% on Circle Plus.

The gaps matter for this niche. Circle has no 1:1 scheduling or client management back office, and no per-client habits, check-ins or coaching plans. If you sell private sessions, you will add a booking tool and probably a contract tool. Branded mobile apps are only available on the custom-priced Circle Plus, so members otherwise use Circle's own app. Public reviewers on Trustpilot give it 4.1 from 129 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if your community is the entire business, you rarely sell 1:1 work, and you want the most granular control over spaces and moderators.

3. Mighty Networks: what does it add for course-led spiritual memberships?

Mighty Networks's homepage presenting its community, courses and events platform
Mighty Networks's homepage in October 2026.

Mighty Networks blends community, courses and events into member apps that feel polished on a phone. It suits a spiritual teacher who runs a long-term membership with a course library, recorded teachings and regular livestreams.

Livestream allowances are built into the plans: 20 hours a month with up to 100 attendees on Launch, 30 hours and 200 attendees on Scale, 40 hours and 1,000 attendees on Growth. For a monthly meditation gathering or a weekly dharma-style talk, that covers most solo coaches without a separate streaming tool. Storage starts at 200 GB, which leaves room for audio meditations stored as video files and teaching recordings.

As listed in October 2026, Launch costs $95 a month or $79 billed annually, Scale $215 or $179 annually, Growth $354 a month billed annually, and Mighty Pro is custom. The trial runs 14 days with no credit card and includes Growth features, so be careful not to build around features you will lose on Launch. Mighty adds a platform fee on sales of 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing.

Like Circle, it has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. Members use Mighty-branded apps unless you pay for Mighty Pro. Public reviewers on Trustpilot are mixed, with 3.3 from 219 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you mainly teach a large membership through livestreams and courses, private sessions are rare, and a polished member app matters more than tracking each person's practice.

4. Heartbeat: a lighter community with automations built in

Heartbeat is a community platform aimed at smaller groups, with automations, landing pages and a member directory included from its entry plan. The facts below come from its pricing page, checked on October 25, 2026.

For a spiritual coach with a circle of a few dozen to a few hundred people, the Build plan covers up to 350 members. It includes 5 automation workflows (useful for welcoming new members into a moon circle), 1 custom landing page, a custom domain and brand colors, community and course analytics, a weekly email digest, a member directory, and Zapier, Zoom and Google Calendar integrations. Member data migration is included, which helps if you are moving from a Facebook group or another tool.

Pricing on that page: Build is $49 a month or $40 a month billed annually ($490 a year); Grow is $149 a month or $124 billed annually, for up to 5,000 members; Scale is $849 a month or $766 billed annually, with unlimited members and a white-label mobile app, and needs a sales call. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Note the warning on the page: communities not upgraded by the end of the trial are deactivated, and communities inactive for 30 days are deleted.

The catch is the transaction fee: 5% on Build, 2.5% on Grow and 1.25% on Scale, added on top of Stripe's processing. A spiritual membership bringing in a few thousand a month pays a noticeable share on the entry plan. Heartbeat branding stays on Build. Its pricing page does not list 1:1 booking, habits or check-ins, so treat those as missing.

Pick it over Coachful if you want a low-cost, community-only space for under 350 members and you are happy to run 1:1 sessions and practice tracking elsewhere.

5. Kajabi: when does an all-in-one course platform make sense?

Kajabi's homepage presenting its platform for courses, communities and websites
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. Spiritual coaches with a big audience and a catalogue of teachings (a chakra course, a meditation series, a retreat replay) are its natural audience.

The community is one product among many. On Basic and Growth you get 1 community; Pro allows 3. That works for one membership circle, but if you want separate rooms for each cohort, plan around the limit. Kajabi's strength for this niche is marketing: websites, funnels and email for a large list, which matters if your practice grows mainly from free meditations and workshops.

As listed in October 2026: Basic is $179 a month or $143 billed annually, with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249 a month or $199 annually, with 50 products and 25,000 contacts. Pro is $499 a month or $399 annually. The standard trial is 14 days; a card is optional, and if entered, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges when the trial ends. Some features stay locked until a paid plan is active. Kajabi Payments (US) costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic; using another processor (other than PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro.

For spiritual coaching specifically, the gap is daily practice. Kajabi has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and coaching is delivered as products and communities rather than per-client plans. Public reviewers on Trustpilot give it 3.4 from 2,347 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is mainly courses sold to a large email list, you need several separate product catalogues, and 1:1 work is a small part of your income.

6. Practice Better: the option for wellness work that overlaps clinical care

Practice Better's homepage presenting its wellness practice management software
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Practice Better is practice management software built for dietitians, nutritionists and functional medicine practitioners. It appears here because some spiritual coaches also work as holistic or wellness practitioners and need charting and stated HIPAA compliance.

Its community is a program chat that can run as a social-style feed or direct chat, rather than a standalone community space. That fits a guided group program (a six-week mindful eating and meditation series, say) better than an open membership. Programs come in fixed-date formats from Professional, and evergreen and self-paced formats on Plus, with modules, email sequences, media, documents and quizzes. The client portal runs on web, iOS and Android, and built-in telehealth handles 1:1 sessions. It states HIPAA, PIPEDA, PHIPA and GDPR compliance.

As listed in October 2026: Sprout is free for 3 clients; Starter is $35 a month ($25 billed annually) for 10 clients; Professional $69 ($59 annually) for 300 clients; Plus $99 ($89 annually) for unlimited clients; Team $155 ($145 annually) for 2 practitioners. Trials are 14 days, or 30 on Team. Group scheduling and fixed-date programs start on Professional; evergreen programs, portal branding, a custom URL and SMS start on Plus.

The fit problems for a spiritual coaching practice: there is no website builder or funnel pages, so you still need a site and an email tool for marketing. Many clinical tools (SOAP notes, insurance claims, ePrescribe add-ons) will go unused. Habits exist as food and lifestyle journaling rather than a streak-based tracker. Review scores are strong, with G2 at 4.7 and Capterra at 4.8.

Pick it over Coachful if you hold a clinical license, need HIPAA-ready software and insurance tools, and your groups run as structured programs rather than an open community.

7. Skool: simple, cheap, and loud about gamification

Skool's homepage presenting its community and classroom groups
Skool's homepage in October 2026.

Skool puts a community, a classroom and a calendar in one group, with points and leaderboards that reward activity. It is easy to set up, and many coaches like how quickly members find their way around.

That gamification is the question for spiritual coaches. Leaderboards motivate some groups, but a circle about surrender, grief or inner listening may not want members ranked by post count. If your style is playful and community-driven, it can work; if your work is quiet and reflective, consider whether the levels fit the tone you are setting.

As listed in October 2026: Hobby is $9 a month ($7.50 billed annually) and Pro is $99 a month ($82.50 annually), both with unlimited members, courses, videos and live calls. The pricing page shows "Try for free" buttons without stating trial length or card terms. Payments run only through Skool Payments: 10% + 30¢ on all transactions on Hobby, and 2.9% + 30¢ up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900 on Pro. Fees are non-refundable, with weekly payouts.

Skool has no custom-domain website, funnels, email automation or public API. It has no 1:1 client records, intake forms, habits or check-ins. Public reviewers on Trustpilot give it 1.6 from 54 reviews. Our post on hosting community channels without Discord covers the trade-offs of chat-first groups like this.

Pick it over Coachful if you want the fastest, cheapest group with a classroom, your members enjoy friendly competition, and you do not sell 1:1 sessions or track individual practice.

8. Paperbell: strong for 1:1 packages, with no community at all

Paperbell's homepage presenting its tool for selling 1:1 coaching online
Paperbell's homepage in October 2026.

Paperbell sells and runs 1:1 coaching packages well, and it has no community feature. We include it because many spiritual coaches searching for community tools really need a better way to sell private sessions, and then add a free group elsewhere.

What it does well: a branded coaching website with a custom URL, booking with time-zone detection and reminders, Google, iCal and Outlook sync, Zoom links, e-signature contracts tied to package purchase, intake forms and post-session surveys. Payments run through Stripe or PayPal, with subscriptions, payment plans, pay-what-you-can pricing and coupons. Pay-what-you-can is a natural fit for coaches who offer sliding-scale spiritual work. It also offers group programs, workshops and live classes.

As listed in October 2026, Paperbell has one paid tier at $97 a month or $970 a year, per coach, with unlimited clients and sessions and a 0% platform fee (Stripe or PayPal processing applies). Its help center describes a 7-day trial, and paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee.

For this article's purpose, the limits are large: no community, no habit tracking or daily check-ins, no full course platform, no native mobile app, and one coach per account. Paperbell itself says it is not HIPAA compliant.

Pick it over Coachful if your practice is almost entirely private sessions, you want PayPal or pay-what-you-can checkout, and you are fine running any group space in a separate tool.

9. Podia: where does a simple storefront fit?

Podia's homepage presenting its storefront for courses, downloads and community
Podia's homepage in October 2026.

Podia is a simple storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and community. A spiritual coach selling guided meditations, a workbook for a new moon ritual and a small membership space will find it approachable.

The community spaces scale with the plan: 25 on Mover, 100 on Shaker, unlimited on Earthquaker. That is generous for a solo coach. The weak point is email: Mover includes 100 email subscribers, Shaker 500 and Earthquaker 1,000. If your practice grows from a free meditation download, your list will outgrow those allowances quickly.

As listed in October 2026: Mover is $49 a month ($42 billed annually) with a 5% Podia transaction fee; Shaker is $99 ($84 annually) and Earthquaker $179 ($150 annually), both at 0%. Stripe or PayPal processing applies on top. There is a 14-day trial with full access and no credit card.

Podia has no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. An older profile notes no mobile app and no native video calls, so group circles run on an external video tool. Public reviewers on Trustpilot give it 4.1 from 153 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you mainly sell downloadable meditations and short courses, need PayPal at checkout, and your community is a small add-on rather than the heart of the practice.

10. Thinkific: a course school that happens to have communities

Thinkific's homepage presenting its course and community platform
Thinkific's homepage in October 2026.

Thinkific is a course platform with communities, memberships and coaching or webinar products. It suits spiritual teachers who run a structured school, such as a multi-level meditation teacher training, with community as the discussion layer.

Community limits are plan-based: Start includes 1 community with 10 spaces and 5 live community events, Grow 3 communities with 20 spaces, Expand 10 communities with 200 spaces. Group sizes cap at 50 on Start and 100 on Grow, which is fine for most cohorts but worth checking if you run large open circles.

As listed in October 2026: Start is $109 a month ($82 billed annually), Grow $219 ($164 annually), Expand $499 ($374 annually), and Plus is custom. Prices rose about 10% on August 13, 2026. A 30-day free trial is available on every self-serve plan. Thinkific charges 0% when you use Thinkific Payments; third-party gateways carry an extra fee whose amount is not listed. A branded mobile app is a $199 a month add-on.

There is no built-in 1:1 scheduling (an older profile notes coaching relies on external booking links), and no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. Public reviewers on Trustpilot give it 1.8 from 868 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you run a teacher-training style school with many courses and certificates, and group discussion supports the curriculum rather than the other way round. Our comparison of course platforms for spiritual coaches goes deeper on this side.

11. Teachable: course-first, with community on mid-tier plans

Teachable is a course platform first; its pricing page lists community on Builder and above, not on Starter. The figures below come from that page, checked on October 25, 2026.

Plans on that page: Starter is $39 a month ($29 billed annually) with 5 products and a 7.5% transaction fee; Builder $89 ($69 annually) with 10 products; Growth $189 ($139 annually) with 50 products and 5 admin users; Custom by quote. Builder and up charge 0% when you use Teachable Payments, with card processing of 2.9% + 30¢ for US cards. Coaching is offered as a product type on all plans and counts toward the product limit. iOS and Android student apps are included from Starter.

The trial is unclear. The pricing cards show a 7-day free trial and a 30-day guarantee, while a pop-up on the same page offered a 30-day trial on Builder. Confirm the length before you sign up.

For a spiritual coach, the community is a supporting feature next to courses, and the page does not describe coaching-specific tools such as habits, check-ins or client records. If your circle is the heart of the offer, the product-count limits and the course-first design will feel like the wrong shape.

Pick it over Coachful if your main income comes from recorded courses sold to students, and a community is a nice extra for course buyers.

12. Systeme.io: the lowest-cost way to start

Systeme.io is a funnels, email and courses tool with a free plan that never expires and needs no card, according to its pricing page checked on October 25, 2026.

As of September 2026, Systeme.io offered basic member-only communities with a feed and groups. That is enough for a free circle attached to a meditation course, but not a rich community with events and member directories. The pricing page did not show community limits per plan when we checked.

Plans on that page: Free at $0 with 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course and 1 automation rule; Startup $17 a month with 5,000 contacts and 5 courses; Webinar $47 with 10,000 contacts and evergreen webinars; Unlimited $97 with unlimited contacts, funnels and courses. Annual billing offers "2 months free" without dollar figures. It states 0% transaction fees with Stripe or PayPal. The page conflicts on students: one section says unlimited on every plan, the FAQ says 500 on Free.

Systeme.io has no 1:1 client records, habits or check-ins in its pricing page features, so private sessions and practice tracking live elsewhere. Public reviewers on Trustpilot gave it 4.9 from 8,424 reviews as of September 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if you have no budget yet, your priority is a funnel and email list, and a simple community for course buyers is all you need for now.

A typical setup takes one afternoon of your time plus the white-glove build. Here is an example for a coach launching an eight-week cohort called "Returning to Stillness" with optional 1:1 sessions (the name and structure are illustrative).

  1. Request the build. From Create, ask for a website and a funnel for a free 10-minute guided meditation. Attach your logo, photos and any copy. Mention a calm wellness template and where every button should lead (for example, a free discovery call).
  2. Write the program. Set eight weekly goals (week 1 might be "arrive and notice"), add daily tasks such as a short reading, and attach your recorded meditations. Michelle can draft the outline from your notes.
  3. Add the daily practice. Create habits like morning meditation and evening journaling, then add morning and evening check-ins with one or two reflective questions each.
  4. Let the cohort form itself. When members enroll, their cohort group is created automatically. Post a welcome in the feed and pin your community agreements (confidentiality, no advice-giving unless asked).
  5. Schedule the live circles. Add a group call or video event for each weekly circle, so members find it in the same place as their practice.
  6. Open 1:1 booking. Create a paid session type with intake questions and buffers, and attach your coaching agreement for e-signature before the first call.
  7. Price with care. Offer a payment plan and a coupon for a community or sliding-scale rate. To set the full price, add up your live hours, prep and support time, then compare with what similar coaches in your area publish.
  8. Write the welcome sequence. Build an email sequence for meditation downloads: a welcome, a story, an invitation to the circle.
  9. Watch the quiet ones. Once the cohort starts, check the client list weekly. Anyone marked quiet or at risk gets a short personal message.

What does each platform cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Community tools mostly price by plan, not by client, so the cost stays flat until you hit a feature or member limit. The bigger difference is what each price leaves out. These are list prices on monthly billing where shown, before payment processing.

Tool5 clients15 clients40 clientsNot included
CoachfulLite: $29/month for up to 5 clientsSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsPro: $99/month with unlimited clientsPayPal

Practice Better$35$69$69Website, funnels; evergreen programs need $99 Plus

Teachable$89$89$891:1 tools, habits (Builder needed for community)
Systeme.io$0$0$0 to $171:1 booking, habits; community is basic

Read the right-hand column before the price. A community-only tool at a low price plus a scheduling app, a contract tool and an email service often costs more than one platform. Percentage fees also grow with you: as an example, a 5% fee on a membership earning $3,000 a month is $150 a month, every month. Our guide to membership platforms for coaches breaks down fees in more detail.

What red flags and switching costs should you watch for?

The expensive mistakes in this category show up a year later, when your circle has history and moving it is painful. Check these before you commit.

  • Percentage fees on every sale. Skool Hobby (10%), Heartbeat Build (5%), Podia Mover (5%), Teachable Starter (7.5%), and Circle and Mighty's lower tiers (2%) all take a cut. Long-running spiritual memberships make that cut add up.
  • Trial features you lose. Mighty Networks trials include Growth features. Build your space on the plan you will actually pay for.
  • Deletion policies. Heartbeat deactivates communities not upgraded after the trial and deletes those inactive for 30 days. Export anything you care about early.
  • Gamification you cannot soften. Leaderboards and points can make a grief or contemplation circle feel competitive. Check whether you can hide them.
  • Branded apps behind custom pricing. Circle, Mighty Networks and Heartbeat reserve your own branded app for top or custom tiers; Thinkific sells it as an add-on.
  • Splitting the client across tools. When the circle lives in one app and 1:1 notes live in another, you lose sight of who is struggling. This is the hidden cost of a community-only stack.
  • Data you cannot take with you. Ask how to export members, posts and course content before you start. Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) and exports courses.

If you are already on another platform, Coachful imports clients, programs and content for you during onboarding. Our guide to switching coaching platforms without disrupting clients covers timing, member announcements and running two tools in parallel for a short overlap.

Where does coaching end and therapy begin for spiritual coaches?

Spiritual coaching is not therapy, counselling or medical care, and your community platform should not be used as if it were. Members may bring grief, trauma or intense spiritual experiences into a circle; your role is to hold space, not to diagnose or treat.

Write your scope into the coaching agreement and community guidelines. If a member shows signs of a mental health crisis, persistent distress, trauma symptoms or thoughts of self-harm, refer them to a licensed mental health professional and, in an emergency, local emergency services. In the US, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available by call or text. The ICF Code of Ethics is a useful reference for confidentiality and referral standards, and Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, so keep clinical records out of it.

What is our verdict?

For most spiritual coaches, Coachful is the best choice: it is the only platform here that holds the circle, the daily practice, the 1:1 sessions and the payments under one login, with a 0% platform fee and a free white-glove build to get the site, funnel and program set up. Circle and Mighty Networks are the strongest choices if community is your whole business and you do not need private sessions. Heartbeat and Skool are the budget community picks, with sales fees to watch. Practice Better suits licensed practitioners who need HIPAA-ready tools, Paperbell suits a private-sessions-only practice, and Kajabi, Podia, Thinkific, Teachable and Systeme.io are course or marketing tools first.

Go back to your five answers. If you said yes to 1:1 sessions and yes to daily practice, the decision is made. Compare Coachful's group coaching software features and see current plans on the plans page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best community platform for spiritual coaches?

Coachful is our pick because it combines the community feed, cohort groups, daily habits and check-ins, 1:1 booking, agreements and payments in one platform. If you only need a community and never sell private sessions, Circle or Mighty Networks are strong alternatives.

Is the white-glove build service really free?

Yes. On every Coachful plan you can request a build from Create, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the team builds your website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or event page inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Can I track members' meditation or journaling practice?

In Coachful, yes: habits, daily tasks and morning and evening check-ins are part of programs, with streaks and progress bars. Most pure community tools in this list, including Circle, Mighty Networks, Skool and Heartbeat, do not track individual practice.

Do I need a separate tool for 1:1 sessions?

With Circle, Mighty Networks, Heartbeat, Skool, Thinkific and Systeme.io, usually yes, because they have no built-in 1:1 scheduling with agreements and client records. Coachful, Practice Better and Paperbell include booking.

Which community platforms charge a fee on my sales?

As listed in October 2026, Skool Hobby charges 10% + 30¢, Teachable Starter 7.5%, Heartbeat Build 5%, Podia Mover 5%, and Circle and Mighty Networks 2% on their entry plans. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee; only Stripe or Razorpay processing applies.

Is Coachful HIPAA compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Licensed practitioners who need that should look at Practice Better.

Can members pay with PayPal?

Not in Coachful, which uses your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Paperbell, Podia and Systeme.io list PayPal support.

Is there a free community platform for spiritual coaches?

Systeme.io has a free plan with basic communities, and Practice Better's Sprout plan is free for 3 clients. Coachful has no permanent free plan but offers a free trial.

How do I keep a spiritual community safe for vulnerable sharing?

Use private cohort spaces rather than one public feed, publish community agreements on confidentiality, and moderate early. Put your scope and referral process in your coaching agreement so members know coaching is not therapy.

Can I move my existing Facebook group or membership?

Yes, though you will rebuild the space rather than copy posts. Coachful imports clients, programs and content during onboarding; announce the move, set a date and run both spaces briefly so nobody gets lost.
