12 Best Course Platforms for Financial Coaches (2026 Guide)

12 Best Course Platforms for Financial Coaches (2026 Guide)

The best course platforms for financial coaches do more than play lesson videos. They carry a client from a budgeting lead magnet to a paid debt-payoff program, collect the payment and the signed agreement, run the cohort calls, and keep the client logging spending between sessions. Most course tools stop at the lesson player, and a money course without accountability tends to become a library nobody finishes. So the deciding question is simple: which platform covers the whole journey with the fewest logins and the lowest total monthly bill?

Our pick is Coachful. It puts courses, multi-week programs with daily tasks and habits, booking, payments through your own Stripe account, e-signed coaching agreements, a community and email under one login, with one branded app for the client. We make Coachful, so we have stated our ranking criteria plainly and kept every other tool's price exactly as its own site listed it in October 2026. Eleven alternatives follow, from Kajabi for audience-driven course businesses to Stan Store for coaches who sell a budget template from a social bio link.

One scope note before the tools, because it shapes the setup. Financial coaching is education and behavior change: cash flow, budgeting, debt payoff, spending habits and money conversations at home. It is not investment, tax or legal advice. When a client needs a securities recommendation, a tax position or a legal answer, refer them to a licensed professional; the SEC's Investor.gov guide to working with an investment professional explains how clients can check registration. Put that line on your sales page, in your coaching agreement and in the first lesson of your course. Our guide to financial conflicts in coaching covers referral fees and product recommendations.

What does a financial coaching client journey need at each stage?

A money coaching business runs through four stages: attract, enroll, deliver and retain. Each stage asks something different of a course platform, and the gaps show up in the stages a tool was not built for.

Attract: earn trust before anyone pays

People are guarded about money and about anyone selling help with it. Financial coaches usually attract clients with something useful and low-risk: a spending snapshot worksheet, a debt list template, a five-day money reset mini course, or a live workshop on building a first budget. That needs a website that reads as credible, a landing page with an opt-in, an email sequence that teaches before it sells, and tracking so you know which source brought the lead. Our guide to the financial coach website covers the trust signals, and how to create a mini course covers the lead-in course itself.

Enroll: make paying and signing easy

Your buyers are often working on cash flow, so payment plans matter more here than in most niches. Enrollment needs a checkout with one-time, subscription and installment options, coupons, a booking page for discovery calls, intake questions, and a coaching agreement signed before the first session that states the education-only scope. If you sell digital courses across state or national borders, sales tax rules vary; check with an accountant before launch.

Deliver: lessons plus accountability

Delivery mixes formats. A typical signature program has self-paced lessons (money story, cash-flow map, debt list and payoff order, sinking funds, talking about money at home), downloadable worksheets, live cohort calls, optional 1:1 sessions, and weekly check-ins where the client reports what they spent and what they paid down. Ask for rounded figures in a worksheet or check-in, never bank logins or full statements. Couples work adds its own needs; see financial conflict in marriage coaching.

Retain: keep the habit alive after the course ends

Debt payoff and saving play out over months, and the course usually ends long before the goal is reached. Retention needs habits and streaks (a daily spending log, no-spend days), a community where alumni share wins, a way to spot clients who have gone quiet, and a next offer such as a monthly accountability membership or a 1:1 package. A course host that only tracks lesson completion cannot see any of this.

Which course platforms cover every stage of a money coach's journey?

Only one tool on this list covers all four stages with per-client accountability in the same login; the rest cover one or two stages well and leave the others to a second tool. The table maps each stage, with the entry price as listed.

How we ranked them: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery (check-ins, habits, daily tasks), total monthly stack cost, and setup effort, including whether someone will build it for you.

How we chose: we started from tools money coaches actually shortlist for courses, then checked each vendor's pricing page and help documentation in October 2026 and read public reviews. We did not run paid accounts on every tool, so feature notes describe what vendors document and what reviewers report. 1. Coachful: one login from lead magnet to paid-off debt

A laptop showing a client coaching page with a program journey, next to kraft paper envelopes and a calculator.
Coachful's client My Coaching page with a demo program journey on a laptop beside cash envelopes and a calculator.

Coachful is a coaching platform where a course is one part of a client journey rather than the whole product. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login; the client has one app in the coach's branding. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

For a financial coach, the value is what surrounds the course. The course builder handles modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, and you can attach downloads such as a budget worksheet or a debt list template. Courses sit next to videos, books, events, AI tools and bundles in the client's branded home, so a mini course can lead straight into a signature program in the same place.

Coachful's course builder with a demo Goal Setting Masterclass: four modules, eight lessons, and the selected lesson's format and media options.

That program is where money coaching happens. Multi-week programs carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. A six-week debt payoff program might set a weekly goal of listing every balance, a daily task of logging the day's spending, a no-spend-day habit with a streak, and an evening check-in that asks what was unplanned. When a client enrolls in a group program, a cohort group is created automatically, with a community feed, group chat and video events for the live calls.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered:

Enrollment runs through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so only Stripe or Razorpay processing applies, and every transaction gets an invoice. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record, which is the natural place for your education-only scope clause. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, sync two ways with Google, Apple and Outlook calendars, create Zoom, Meet or Teams links or use built-in video, and can ask intake questions on booking. Paid sessions and session credits let you sell a 1:1 add-on next to the course.

The attract stage is covered too. The section-based website builder includes a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates. Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels support pixels and UTM tracking, and email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences support triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. More than 40 ready-to-film program templates, 48 course templates with quizzes and about 25 funnel templates give you a starting point.

Retention is where the client record earns its keep. Each record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with an AI briefing and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. That makes a client who has stopped logging spending easier to spot early. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from that live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before calls. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. If you hold or pursue an ICF credential, coaching hours and distinct clients are counted against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds, with an exportable client coaching log.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, then We'll build it for you, you describe what you want and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. A money coach can ask for a website, a lead-magnet funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline with written material, an email sequence, a lead quiz or a webinar page, and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as a logo, brand guide or existing slides. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent build was for a real-estate and money coach, who got a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a free nine-day bootcamp funnel. The service does not record videos, design logos, manage ads or run ongoing marketing. Read more in how the white-glove service works.

The Create page with the We'll build it for you card, where a coach requests a build.

What Coachful does not do matters for financial coaches too. It is not HIPAA-certified and is not built for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Its integrations list has no bank or budgeting-app connection, so spending numbers come from what clients enter in check-ins and worksheets. There is no PayPal and no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than under your own App Store account. It is not a course marketplace, has no Salesforce or HubSpot integration, and the affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue while payouts are recorded manually. Plans are flat monthly; lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and monthly plans cancel in one click (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). 2. Kajabi: the polished choice for audience-led money educators

Kajabi homepage promoting its course, community and website platform for creators.
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

If your business looks like a podcast or YouTube channel about budgeting that sells one signature course to a large list, Kajabi is built for that shape. It combines courses, a community, a website, funnels and email marketing. The marketing side is the reason to choose it: sales pages, opt-in funnels and email broadcasts live next to the course.

As listed in October 2026, Basic costs $179/month ($143/month billed annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249/month ($199/month annually) with 50 products, 25,000 contacts and 500 AI credits. Pro is $499/month ($399/month annually) with unlimited products and 100,000 contacts. Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling slightly on higher plans, and using a processor other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. The trial is 14 days; a card is optional, but if you enter one, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges when the trial ends, and some features stay locked until a paid plan is active.

The limits for a money coach are about delivery after the sale. Kajabi has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and coaching is packaged as products and communities rather than per-client plans. You can sell a debt payoff course and host a community, but you cannot see which client has stopped logging spending. Basic's 2,500-contact cap also fills fast if a free budget template is your main lead magnet, which pushes you toward Growth.

Public sentiment is mixed: Kajabi showed 3.4 on Trustpilot from 2,347 reviews when we checked in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if most of your revenue comes from a large audience buying a self-paced course, 1:1 and cohort accountability are a small side offer, and you want the marketing suite and the course in one place.

3. Podia: a simple storefront for a mini course and templates

Podia homepage promoting its storefront for courses, downloads and coaching.
Podia's homepage in October 2026.

Podia suits the coach who wants to sell a starter money course, a pack of budget spreadsheets and a few coaching calls from one tidy storefront without learning a marketing suite. It sells courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and community access.

Pricing as listed in October 2026: Mover is $49/month ($42/month annually) with 50 products, 500 videos, 25 community spaces and 100 email subscribers included, plus a 5% Podia transaction fee. Shaker is $99/month ($84/month annually) with 150 products, 500 email subscribers, one assistant and no Podia fee. Earthquaker is $179/month ($150/month annually) with unlimited products and 1,000 email subscribers. Stripe or PayPal processing (2.9% + 30¢ standard) applies on top. The 14-day trial gives full access with no credit card or plan selection required.

Two limits stand out for financial coaches. First, the included email allowances are small: 100, 500 or 1,000 subscribers. A worksheet lead magnet that works will outgrow Mover's list quickly. Second, an older vendor profile notes no mobile app and no native video calls, and there are no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. Podia can take payment for a coaching session; it cannot follow a client through a 90-day debt plan.

PayPal at checkout helps if some of your buyers prefer it. Podia held a Trustpilot score of 4.1 from 153 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if your offer is mainly digital products and a short course, you want PayPal at checkout, and you do not need program accountability or a client app.

4. Thinkific: room for big cohorts and workplace programs

Thinkific homepage promoting its course and community platform.
Thinkific's homepage in October 2026.

Thinkific earns its spot for financial coaches who teach at scale, for example a money literacy course sold to an employer group or a large open cohort. Its plans allow many current students, and it supports communities, memberships, live events and coaching or webinar products alongside courses.

Listed prices in October 2026: Start is $109/month ($82/month annually) with 10,000 current students, 2 admins, 1 community with 10 spaces, 5 live community events and 200 GB of monthly video bandwidth, with a maximum group size of 50. Grow is $219/month ($164/month annually) with 6 admins and 3 communities. Expand is $499/month ($374/month annually) with 15 admins and unlimited group size. Prices rose by about 10% on August 13, 2026 (Start went from $99 to $109). Thinkific charges no transaction fee with Thinkific Payments, whose rate it describes as in line with other processors at 2.9%; third-party gateways carry an extra fee. There is a 30-day free trial on every self-serve plan.

Where it falls short for 1:1 money coaching: an older profile notes no built-in 1:1 scheduling, so coaching calls rely on external booking links, and there are no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. A branded mobile app is a $199/month add-on, which more than doubles the Start plan if you want your own app.

Public reviews are a caution sign: Thinkific showed 1.8 on Trustpilot from 868 reviews in October 2026. Read recent ones before committing.

Pick it over Coachful if you mainly sell self-paced courses to thousands of learners at once, such as a workplace financial wellness course, and you keep any 1:1 coaching in a separate scheduler.

5. LearnWorlds: an LMS for licensed and interactive money courses

LearnWorlds pricing page showing its plans in euros.
LearnWorlds's pricing page in October 2026. It shows euro prices.

LearnWorlds is a learning management system with a website builder, funnels, interactive video and SCORM support. That last item matters for a niche group of financial coaches: those who license a financial literacy course to an employer, credit union or school that wants SCORM files for its own LMS. For everyone else, interactive video with in-lesson questions is the draw.

As listed in October 2026, Starter is $29/month ($24/month annually) with 1 admin, 1,000 active learners per month and 300 AI credits, plus $5 per paid enrollment. Pro Trainer is $99/month ($79/month annually) with 5 admins, 2,000 active learners per month, 20 SCORM packages, 15 page funnels and 2,000 mass emails per month, and no LearnWorlds fee. Learning Center is $299/month ($249/month annually) with 25 admins and up to 10 client groups. Stripe or PayPal fees of 2.9% + $0.30 apply. The 30-day trial needs no credit card, but the school is scheduled for deletion if you do not upgrade, so export anything you build. Our screenshot of the pricing page shows euro prices; the figures here are the USD list prices.

For example: at Starter, ten paid enrollments in a month add $50, so a coach selling more than about 14 enrollments a month pays less on Pro Trainer. Active-learner caps (1,000 or 2,000 per month) also apply on self-serve plans, and the branded mobile app is priced separately.

LearnWorlds is not built for 1:1 client management, habits or check-ins. Reviewers rate it well; it showed 4.8 on Trustpilot from 423 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if your course is the product, you need SCORM exports or interactive video for institutional buyers, and coaching is a small or absent part of what you sell.

6. Paperbell: 1:1 money coaching packages without the course depth

Paperbell homepage promoting its all-in-one tool for selling coaching packages.
Paperbell's homepage in October 2026.

Paperbell is a coaching admin tool rather than a course platform, and it belongs here because many financial coaches sell 1:1 packages first and add a course later. It bundles a branded coaching website, booking, payments, e-signature contracts tied to package purchase, intake forms and a client portal into one flat price.

As listed in October 2026, Paperbell has a single paid tier at $97/month, or $970/year, per coach, with unlimited clients and sessions. There is no Paperbell transaction fee; Stripe or PayPal processing applies. Its help center describes a 7-day trial, with client messages and SMS switched off during it, and paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. Extra accounts for the same company are 15% off, according to its FAQ, because each account covers one service provider.

For a money coach, the strengths are checkout options and admin. Payments support subscriptions, payment plans, pay-in-full discounts, pay-what-you-can pricing, coupons and setup fees, which suits clients on tight budgets. Booking includes time-zone detection, gaps between appointments and reminders, with Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync and Zoom links. Group coaching, workshops and live classes are supported.

The course side is thin. Based on its September 2026 profile, video content and online classes are delivered inside packages rather than through a full LMS; there is no community, no funnels, no habit tracking or daily check-ins and no standalone mobile app. Reviewers note the lack of client goal tracking, and one Trustpilot reviewer called the branding options pretty limited. If you later build a signature course, you will likely add a second platform.

Pick it over Coachful if you only sell 1:1 money coaching packages, want PayPal at checkout, and have no plans for courses, cohorts or a community.

7. Practice Better: for money coaches inside a health practice

Practice Better homepage promoting its practice management platform for practitioners.
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Practice Better describes itself as an all-in-one EHR (electronic health record) for practitioners such as dietitians, health coaches and functional medicine providers. It includes scheduling, telehealth video, billing, secure messaging, a client portal and mobile app, journaling, and programs and courses. A financial coach would choose it mostly when money coaching sits inside a wellness practice, for example a dietitian who adds a financial wellness program.

Prices as listed on its pricing page in October 2026: the Sprout plan is free for up to 3 clients. Starter is $35/month ($25/month annually) for 10 clients and 1 GB of storage. Professional is $69/month ($59/month annually) for 300 clients, adding group scheduling, group messaging, fixed-date programs, account deposits and payment plans, and Zapier. Plus is $99/month ($89/month annually) with unlimited clients, evergreen and self-paced programs, portal branding and 750 SMS reminders a month. Team is $155/month ($145/month annually) with 2 practitioner licenses. The Team plan has a 30-day trial and other paid plans 14 days. It lists HIPAA, PIPEDA and GDPR compliance.

The catch for course sellers: self-paced programs, the closest thing to an evergreen money course, require Plus. Portal branding also starts at Plus, so a coach who wants a branded course experience is effectively on the $99 plan. Its feature menu is clinical (charting, protocols, ePrescribe, fax), which can feel off for a budgeting business.

Pick it over Coachful if you run a health practice with HIPAA obligations and want money coaching in the same record system, or you want a free plan for your first three clients.

8. Teachable: a low-cost course host with student apps

Teachable homepage promoting its course and digital product platform.
Teachable's homepage in October 2026.

Teachable is a straightforward course and digital-product platform with student mobile apps, which helps when clients want to replay a lesson on budgeting from their phone. For a financial coach who records a short course and sells it alongside coaching handled elsewhere, it is one of the cheaper hosts.

As listed in October 2026, Starter is $39/month ($29/month annually) with 5 products and 1 admin, but it takes a 7.5% platform fee. Builder is $89/month ($69/month annually) with 10 products and no platform fee. Growth is $189/month ($139/month annually) with 50 products and 5 admins. Teachable Payments processing for US cards is 2.9% + 30¢ (3.9% + 30¢ international); PayPal is 3.49% + 49¢ in the US; chargebacks cost $15; and an optional BackOffice fee of 2% to 2.8% applies if you use it. Plan cards show a 7-day free trial plus a 30-day guarantee.

Run the fee math on Starter before choosing it. As an example, on $1,000 of monthly course sales, the 7.5% fee is $75, which makes Builder the cheaper plan at that level even before card fees.

For coaching itself, Teachable has no native scheduling or calendar sync; an older profile notes that coaching calls rely on separate booking and video tools. There are no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans, so weekly spending accountability happens somewhere else. Teachable held 3.3 on Trustpilot from 1,110 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if you want a simple course host with student apps, sell mainly self-paced lessons, and are happy to run booking, agreements and accountability in other tools.

9. Circle: community-first money clubs

Circle fits financial coaches whose core offer is a community, such as a monthly money club where members share wins, join live budgeting sessions and work through a short course together. It combines community spaces, courses, live events, a website, payments, a member directory, gamification and iOS, Android and desktop apps.

Circle's pricing page in October 2026 lists Professional at $89/month, Business at $199/month and Scale at $419/month, all quoted on annual billing in USD before tax; the page we fetched did not show month-to-month rates. Circle Plus, with custom branded mobile apps, is priced on request. Transaction fees are 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus, on top of processing. The trial is 14 days with no credit card required. Email marketing is a separate Email Hub add-on, listed at $99/month for 10,000 contacts.

For money coaches, check two limits. Live rooms on Professional allow 15 participants and live streams 100 attendees, with 10 hours included, which is enough for a small cohort but tight for an open workshop. Workflows and automations are not included on Professional; they start on Business. Custom branded mobile apps are only on the custom-priced Circle Plus.

Its plan list does not include per-client habit tracking, daily check-ins or 1:1 session records, so accountability depends on members posting in the community.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is a large membership community first, coaching is light, and you want community features such as gamification and a member directory to drive engagement.

10. Kartra: funnel-heavy launches with memberships

Kartra homepage promoting its marketing suite with pages, funnels and memberships.
Kartra's homepage in October 2026.

Kartra is an all-in-one marketing suite: pages, funnels, email and SMS, memberships, calendars and a helpdesk. Financial coaches who grow through webinars and launch sequences ("join my live debt-free planning workshop") will find the funnel tools deeper than most course hosts.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Essentials is $59/month ($52/month annually) with 500 contacts, 5 pages, 1 product, 1 membership or course and 10,000 emails a month, plus a 5% transaction fee. Starter is $119/month ($99/month annually) with 2,500 contacts, unlimited pages, products and memberships, unlimited email and SMS, and 5 team members, with no transaction fee. Growth is $229/month ($189/month annually) with 12,500 contacts and 3 domains. Professional is $549/month ($429/month annually) with 25,000 contacts. A 14-day trial is available on any plan, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Essentials is too small for most coaches: one product and 500 contacts leave no room for a lead magnet plus a paid course. Realistically you start at Starter.

The downsides for money coaching: there are no client habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans, and an older profile notes no mobile app for students or admins. Funnels and memberships are not portable to other platforms, so leaving later means rebuilding. Kartra showed 3.2 on Trustpilot from 129 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if webinar and email funnels are your main growth engine, you want SMS marketing inside the same suite, and your course is delivered as a membership area rather than a coached program.

11. Systeme.io: the zero-budget way to test a money course

Systeme.io homepage promoting its low-cost funnel, email and course builder.
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

Systeme.io is the cheapest way on this list to put a first money course and lead magnet online. It is a low-cost marketing suite with funnels, email, courses, a community, a blog and an affiliate program, and it charges no transaction fees on any plan, including the free one.

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 blog, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign, and it never expires. Startup is $17/month with 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 5 courses. Webinar is $47/month with 10,000 contacts, 50 funnels and 20 courses. Unlimited is $97/month with unlimited contacts, funnels, courses and automation rules. No credit card is required to sign up. Stripe or PayPal processing applies.

A practical use: test a free five-day money reset course on the Free plan, see whether people finish it, and only then invest in a full program. The single automation rule and single email campaign on Free are tight, so a nurture sequence usually means Startup.

The trade-offs are depth and coaching. An older profile notes no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, and course and community features are basic, with no branded mobile app. Reviewers are enthusiastic about the value: Systeme.io showed 4.9 on Trustpilot from 8,696 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if you need to validate a course idea with no monthly spend, your list is the asset you are building, and coaching delivery can wait or live elsewhere.

12. Stan Store: selling templates and calls from your bio link

Stan Store homepage promoting its link-in-bio store for creators.
Stan Store's homepage in October 2026.

Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for creators who sell digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls from Instagram or TikTok. Money creators who sell a budget spreadsheet, a short course and a paid call to a social following are its natural users.

As listed in October 2026, Creator is $29/month ($25/month annually) with unlimited products and customers in one store. Creator Pro is $99/month ($79/month annually). Stan takes no fee of its own ("keep 100% of every sale"); standard Stripe or PayPal processing applies. Email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates are only on Creator Pro. The 14-day trial is available on either plan, and the help center says the first month is charged when the trial ends.

The ceiling arrives fast for a coaching business. Stan has no contracts, invoices or client records and is not a CRM, so your scope agreement and client notes live elsewhere. There are no programs with client tasks, habits or check-ins, and no team seats are advertised. If you plan to nurture leads by email, budget for Creator Pro from the start. Stan Store held 4.7 on Trustpilot from 2,205 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if nearly all your sales start on social media, your products are templates and short courses, and you do not run structured coaching programs.

What does each platform cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

For most course tools the client count barely changes the bill; contact caps and transaction fees do. The table uses month-to-month prices as listed in October 2026 for the cheapest plan that fits a course plus that many coaching clients. Card processing is extra on every tool.

The cheap rows hide a second bill. Every tool except the all-in-one coaching platforms leaves booking, agreements or accountability to another product, which is where the stack recipes below come in.

Which stack should a financial coach choose: all-in-one or assembled?

Choose an all-in-one platform if you sell coached programs, and an assembled stack only if your course and your coaching are truly separate businesses. Assembled stacks give each tool's best feature but cost more combined, split the client across two logins, and leave nobody watching the daily habits. These recipes use list prices from October 2026; the examples assume month-to-month billing and exclude processing fees.

The money coach's version of this decision is the same one you ask clients to make: add up the recurring charges. Two tools at around $100 each often cost more than one platform that does both, and the hidden cost is the client who loses track of which login holds this week's worksheet. If you are still working out what to charge for the program that sits on top of the stack, our look at financial coach earnings walks through how to set a price.

How would a financial coach set this up in Coachful, step by step?

Here is an example setup for a six-week "Debt-Free Foundations" cohort with an optional 1:1 add-on. The program name, module titles and structure are illustrative; swap in your own method.

A laptop showing a library of check-in flows and a tablet showing habit trackers, beside a coin jar and a ledger notebook.
Coachful's coaching flows library with morning and evening check-ins on a laptop, and a client's habit trackers on a tablet, beside a coin jar.
  1. Start the trial and request the build. Open Create, then We'll build it for you, and ask for a five-page site, a lead-magnet funnel for a spending snapshot worksheet, and a sales page for the cohort. Attach your logo, headshot, existing slides and any reference sites you like.
  2. Build the course. In the course builder, add six modules: your money story, mapping cash flow, listing debts and choosing a payoff order, sinking funds, money conversations at home, and keeping the plan going. Set weekly drip so the cohort moves together, and attach the budget worksheet and debt list as downloads.
  3. Wrap it in a program. Create a six-week program for the cohort, then add weekly goals (week three: "every balance listed with its interest rate"), a daily task to log the day's spending, a no-spend-day habit with a streak, and an evening check-in asking what was unplanned and why.
  4. Create the offer and checkout. Set a one-time price and a payment plan through your Stripe account, add the 1:1 session as an order bump, and create a coupon for workshop attendees. Turn on Stripe Tax if you sell across regions, after checking with an accountant which rules apply to you.
  5. Attach the agreement. Write a coaching agreement that states the program is education, not investment, tax or legal advice, and when you will refer out. It is sent for e-signature before the first call. The coaching contracts page shows how agreements work.
  6. Set up booking. Create a discovery call booking page with intake questions ("What would change if your debt were gone?"), buffers and minimum notice, and sell 1:1 add-ons as session credits. Reminders go out by email, with SMS and WhatsApp once messaging is enabled.
  7. Open the cohort space. Enrollment creates the cohort group automatically. Schedule the weekly group call as a video event and pin the week's worksheet in the community feed.
  8. Write the sequences. Ask Michelle to draft a five-email sequence for worksheet downloads that ends with the cohort invitation, then edit it in your voice. Branch the sequence so attendees of a live workshop get a different follow-up.
  9. Watch status, then offer the next step. During the cohort, check clients marked quiet or at risk each week and message them. At week six, offer alumni a monthly accountability program that keeps the spending log and check-ins running.

How do you move an existing money course to a new platform?

Move in this order: export, rebuild, overlap, then redirect. Rushing the overlap is where coaches lose students and payments.

  • Export everything first. Download your student list, email list, course videos and worksheets, and any client notes. Check your current platform's export options before you cancel, since some trial or lapsed accounts lose data (LearnWorlds, for one, schedules a school for deletion if it is not upgraded after the trial).
  • Let the new platform do the import. On Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can rebuild your site or sales page from your old one.
  • Handle active payment plans carefully. Clients midway through installments are the hardest part. Either let them finish on the old system or re-enroll them on the new checkout with a clear email, and keep both running until the last installment clears.
  • Finish live cohorts where they started. Launch the next cohort on the new platform rather than moving a group mid-program.
  • Redirect old URLs. Point old sales page and lesson links to their new equivalents so podcast show notes and old emails still work.
  • Keep an exit route. Coachful offers a full client data export as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) and a course export, so the same move stays possible later.

What mistakes do financial coaches make when choosing a course platform?

The common mistakes are about fees and scope, not features.

  • Comparing sticker prices and ignoring transaction fees. Teachable Starter takes 7.5%, Podia Mover and Kartra Essentials 5%, LearnWorlds Starter $5 per paid enrollment, and Circle Professional 2%. The cheapest plan is often the most expensive once sales start.
  • Missing the contact cap. Kajabi Basic stops at 2,500 contacts, Kartra Essentials at 500 and Podia Mover's email at 100 subscribers. A good worksheet lead magnet hits these limits quickly.
  • Collecting the wrong data. Ask for rounded totals in check-ins and worksheets, never bank logins, card numbers or full statements.
  • Letting course content drift into advice. A lesson on paying down debt is coaching; a lesson recommending specific funds is not. The CFPB's Your Money, Your Goals toolkit is a useful reference for staying on the education side.
  • Splitting the client across logins. If the course is in one app, the check-in in another and the booking link in an email, completion falls. One client home matters more than any single feature.

Which course platform should a financial coach choose?

Choose Coachful if you sell coached money programs: courses, cohorts and 1:1 sessions with daily spending logs, habits and check-ins in between. It is the one tool here that covers attract, enroll, deliver and retain in a single login, with a 0% platform fee and a free white-glove build to get you live. Choose Kajabi or Thinkific when a self-paced course to a large audience is the business, LearnWorlds when institutional buyers want SCORM, Paperbell when you only sell 1:1 packages, and Systeme.io when you need to test an idea with no monthly spend. For the coaching side of the decision, our guides to coaching software for financial coaches and the white-label client portal for financial coaches go further.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best course platform for financial coaches?

For coaches who combine a course with cohorts or 1:1 work, Coachful, because it keeps the course, the program accountability, booking, payments and agreements in one login. For a pure self-paced course to a large audience, Kajabi and Thinkific are strong. The right answer depends on whether you sell coaching or only content.

Can I sell a money course and 1:1 coaching on the same platform?

Yes. On Coachful you can sell a course, a program and session credits in the same account, and add a 1:1 call as an order bump at checkout. Paperbell and Practice Better handle 1:1 well but have lighter course features. Most course-first tools need a separate booking tool for 1:1 sessions.

Is Coachful's white-glove build really free?

Yes. The white-glove build service is free on every plan: you describe the site, funnel, program, course outline or email sequence you want, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Do financial coaches need a compliance-certified platform?

Coaching on budgeting and debt is education, so most money coaches do not need a specialized compliance platform. If you are also a registered investment adviser or work under a broker-dealer, your record-keeping and communication rules may apply to your coaching, so check with an attorney or compliance professional. Coachful is GDPR-ready but not HIPAA-certified.

Which platform is cheapest for a first money course?

Systeme.io's free plan includes one course, 2,000 contacts and 0% transaction fees, as listed in October 2026. LearnWorlds Starter is $29/month plus $5 per paid enrollment. If you also need coaching tools from the start, compare that with a free trial of an all-in-one platform.

Can clients pay for a financial coaching program in installments?

Yes. Coachful supports payment plans, subscriptions and coupons through your own Stripe or Razorpay account. Paperbell, Practice Better (from its Professional plan) and most course platforms also offer installments; check whether a platform fee applies on top.

Should I charge sales tax on an online money course?

It depends on where you and your buyers are, because digital product tax rules vary by state and country. Coachful supports Stripe Tax for calculating it at checkout. Check with an accountant before your first launch.

Does Coachful accept PayPal?

No. Coachful takes payments through Stripe Connect or Razorpay, including cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. If PayPal is essential, Paperbell, Podia, Stan Store, Systeme.io and Teachable list PayPal support.

How long does it take to move my course to Coachful?

Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and white-glove builds usually arrive within about 24 hours. The slowest part is usually re-uploading video files and moving clients on active payment plans, so plan the switch between cohorts.

What should a financial coaching course include?

A clear outcome, short lessons, worksheets the client fills in with their own numbers, and a weekly check-in that turns lessons into action. Our guide on how to create an online course clients finish covers the structure step by step.
