Top 7 Email Marketing Platforms for Spiritual Coaches in 2026

Top 7 Email Marketing Platforms for Spiritual Coaches in 2026

The best email marketing platforms for spiritual coaches do more than send a pretty monthly newsletter. They carry a reader from a free guided meditation to a discovery call, into a paid program, and then keep a gentle rhythm of practice going between sessions, all without making your voice sound like a sales funnel. So the real question is not which tool has the most templates. It is how many separate tools will sit between a new subscriber and a client who is actually doing the practice.

Our pick is Coachful, because its email lists, broadcasts and sequences live in the same account as booking, payments, programs with morning and evening check-ins, a community and your website. We make Coachful, so weigh our view accordingly. Below you will find six other platforms with prices as listed in October 2026, what each one does well for a spiritual practice, and the exact situations where each beats us.

This is a decision guide first. Answer five questions about your practice, use the table to find your likely match, then read the ranked sections. If you want the general comparison across every coaching niche, our guide to email marketing tools for coaches covers deliverability and sequences in more depth, and our roundup of software for spiritual coaches looks beyond email.

What do spiritual coaches need from an email platform?

Spiritual coaches need an email tool that can hold a slow, trust-based relationship over months, then hand a ready reader into booking, payment and a structured practice. A generic newsletter tool handles the first part well and the rest poorly.

Look at how a typical spiritual practice actually earns and keeps clients. Most people do not buy after one email. They download a guided meditation or a set of journaling prompts, read your reflections for a season or two, join a free online circle, and only then book a call. The email platform has to carry that long middle without pressure. That means:

  • A welcome sequence that matches the free offer. Someone who downloaded a grounding meditation needs different follow-up from someone who took a purpose quiz. Branching and tags matter more than template count. Our welcome sequence examples show five complete versions.
  • A rhythm you can keep. Many spiritual coaches write to the seasons, the moon or a monthly theme. Broadcasts need to be quick to send and easy to segment so a retreat invitation only reaches people who are near enough or interested enough to come.
  • Invitations to live gatherings. Circles, workshops, breathwork sessions and webinars are the bridge from reader to client. Your email tool should connect to event pages and registration rather than leaving you to paste links between three apps.
  • A global audience. Spiritual audiences are often spread across time zones. Booking pages that detect the visitor's time zone save a lot of back-and-forth after an email lands.
  • Between-session practice. Once someone becomes a client, the most valuable messages are no longer marketing. They are the morning intention prompt, the evening reflection, the weekly integration question. Most email platforms stop at the sale; this is where a spiritual practice actually changes lives.
  • Care with sensitive replies. Subscribers reply to spiritual emails with grief, fear and personal history. Wherever those replies land should be private and should sit next to the client record, not in a marketing inbox shared with an assistant.

One scope point belongs in every spiritual coach's email setup. Spiritual coaching is not therapy, medical care or crisis support. Your welcome sequence, your coaching agreement and your automated replies should say so plainly and point people to a licensed mental health professional or local emergency services when someone describes trauma, thoughts of self-harm, or symptoms that need treatment. Our guide to what spiritual coaching is covers the boundary in more detail.

Which 5 questions should you answer about your practice first?

Answer these five questions before you compare features, because your answers decide the shortlist faster than any feature grid. Write the answers down; the table in the next section maps them to a pick.

  1. Do you sell sessions and programs, or mostly content? If your income comes from 1:1 sessions, group programs and circles, you need email tied to booking and delivery. If it comes from recorded courses, digital meditations or a membership library, a content platform may suit you.
  2. Do clients need a daily or weekly practice between sessions? Meditation streaks, morning intentions, evening reflections and weekly integration check-ins are a client-delivery job. Most email tools cannot do it at all.
  3. How big is your list, and how fast is it growing? Several platforms price by subscriber count. A small list of a few hundred readers costs very little on Kit's free plan; a list of several thousand changes the maths.
  4. Where do people book and pay today, and how many logins does that take? Count the tools: email, scheduler, payment links, course host, community, website. Every extra tool is another bill and another place a client can get lost.
  5. How much do you want to build yourself? Some coaches enjoy designing emails and funnels. Others would rather describe what they want and have it built. That changes which platform is realistic for you this month.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Which platform fits your answers?

Match your answers to the row that sounds most like your practice. Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort, including Coachful's free white-glove build.

How did we choose and rank these tools?

We ranked platforms by how much of a spiritual coach's client journey each one covers from a single login, not by email features alone. A tool that sends beautiful newsletters but needs four other subscriptions to book, charge, deliver and support a client scored lower than one that does the whole job.

We did not run hands-on tests for this article. Pricing and plan limits come from each vendor's own pricing page as listed in October 2026; a few notes on product scope come from vendor profiles compiled in September 2026, and we say so where that applies. Review scores are Trustpilot figures seen on 25 October 2026. We weighed four things:

  • One login for the client journey: subscriber to call to payment to program to community, without exporting lists between apps.
  • Between-session delivery: habits, check-ins, courses and community that keep a practice alive after the sale.
  • Total stack cost: the email plan plus the scheduler, course host and checkout you would still need to buy.
  • Setup effort: how long it takes a solo coach to go live, and whether anyone will build it for you.

Direct coaching-platform substitutes such as Paperbell or Practice Better are not in this list because their email marketing is not their focus; our spiritual coach software roundup compares them.

1. Coachful: best for email, booking and practice in one place

A tablet with a client habit tracker and a laptop with a session calendar in a meditation corner
Coachful's client habit tracker on a tablet and the coach's session calendar on a laptop, beside a meditation cushion and mala beads.

Coachful is a coaching platform where email is one part of the practice rather than a separate subscription. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits sit in the same account as your booking pages, checkout, coaching agreements, programs, courses, community and website. You get one login, and your clients get one app carrying your branding.

It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not only single sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for anyone replacing four to six tools. For a spiritual coach, that usually means retiring a newsletter tool, a scheduler, a payment link service, a course host and a community app at once. More on the niche setup is on our page for spiritual coaches.

Email that sits next to the client record

Your subscribers and your clients live in the same account. When someone downloads your free meditation through a lead-magnet funnel, they join a list, and you can pair that funnel with a welcome sequence that uses delays, branches and A/B-tested subject lines. When that person later books a call or enrolls in a program, their sessions, payments, intake answers, notes and tags are on one client record rather than split across three tools. That matters when a reader replies to your solstice email with something personal: you can see the whole relationship before you answer.

This short walkthrough shows the email tools inside Coachful:

The practice continues between sessions

This is the part most email platforms skip. Coachful runs multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. A spiritual coach can set a morning intention prompt, an evening reflection, a meditation habit and a weekly integration question, and the client sees them in their branded home and app. Each client's status shows as thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you notice the person who went silent in week three before they quietly drift away.

Group work is covered too. Cohort groups are created automatically when someone enrolls in a program, and the community includes a feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. That suits new moon circles, monthly gatherings and group programs. Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking, plus downloads and videos, deliver your recorded teachings in the same place. If you want an AI version of yourself that selected clients can chat with between sessions, the AI Coach does that, configured by you.

Funnels, website and an assistant that drafts

Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels support Meta Pixel and UTM tracking. The section-based website builder has a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, which pairs well with our guide to building a spiritual coach website that feels like you. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it drafts emails and content, builds programs, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before calls. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons and Apple Pay or Google Pay. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose We'll build it for you, describe what you want, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. For a spiritual coach that might be a welcome sequence after a guided meditation download, a monthly newsletter, a lead quiz, a sales page for a circle, or a full website. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos, brand guide and existing copy. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi, for example, had their homepage and About page rebuilt and their contact form connected. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Details are in our white-glove service guide.

Where Coachful falls short

  • Not HIPAA-certified and no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. For spiritual coaching outside a clinical setting this rarely matters, but it does if you also practise as a licensed therapist.
  • No PayPal, and no permanent free plan.
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.
  • Affiliate tracking covers links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually, which matters if you run a retreat affiliate scheme.
  • No third-party plugins, and it is not a course marketplace.

Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. Lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and monthly plans cancel in one click. Coachful holds a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews. To start, take a free trial and request a white-glove build of whatever you need first.

2. Flodesk: best for design-led newsletters

Flodesk is the platform many visually minded spiritual coaches reach for first, because its emails look like a magazine spread rather than a corporate notice. It covers email marketing, forms, landing pages and a simple checkout for sales pages, and it holds a Trustpilot score of 4.8 from 321 reviews.

Flodesk pricing page with its plan tiers
Flodesk's pricing page in October 2026.

Where Flodesk's design focus helps a spiritual brand

If your brand leans on soft palettes, photography and handwritten-feeling typography, Flodesk makes it easy to keep every email on brand without a designer. A seasonal letter, a retreat announcement or a moon-phase reflection will look polished with little effort. Forms and landing pages can collect sign-ups for a free meditation or journaling guide, and Flodesk Checkout can sell a digital workbook or a recorded workshop.

Prices as listed in October 2026: the Free plan has no subscriber limit but cannot send email. Lite costs $25/mo ($19/mo billed annually) with a base of up to 1,000 subscribers, a maximum of 25,000 and one seat. Pro costs $28/mo ($25/mo annually) with two seats, and Everything costs $54/mo ($49/mo annually) with three seats; both scale by a subscriber slider up to 255,000. There is a 14-day trial with no card required.

Flodesk states no platform fee on sales. Stripe processing through Flodesk Checkout is listed at 3% + $0.30 for Stripe Express accounts in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, 3% + £0.30 in the UK and 3% + €0.30 in Europe; Stripe Standard users pay their own regional rate.

What Flodesk leaves out

Flodesk has no scheduling, client records, course portal, community or check-ins. A spiritual coach using it will still need a booking tool for discovery calls, a place to host recorded teachings, somewhere for a circle to gather, and a way to deliver daily practice. Checkout payments are supported only in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Euro Area countries, which rules it out as a storefront for coaches based elsewhere. The free plan is a design sandbox, not a starting point for sending.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is mostly a beautiful newsletter plus a few digital products, your coaching sessions already run smoothly in another tool, and you are based in one of Flodesk's supported checkout countries.

3. Kit (formerly ConvertKit): best for newsletter-first teachers

Kit suits the spiritual coach who is a writer first: someone whose weekly letter is the heart of the business and whose income comes from digital meditations, ebooks or recorded classes as much as from sessions. It is an email marketing and newsletter platform with landing pages and simple digital-product sales.

Kit for a growing reader list

The standout is the free Newsletter plan, which covers up to 10,000 subscribers as listed in October 2026. For a coach building an audience slowly through essays and reflections, that is a long runway before paying anything. On paid plans, sequences and automations let you route readers based on what they downloaded, so the person who signed up for your breathwork guide gets a different path from the one who took your values quiz. Our newsletter guide covers how to structure that list.

Kit Creator costs $39/mo as a starting price for up to 1,000 subscribers, rising with list size, with two team members. Kit Pro starts at $79/mo, also scaling with subscribers, with unlimited team members. Both paid plans come with a 14-day free trial and no credit card. Kit Commerce charges 3.5% + $0.30 per USD transaction, all-in including card processing, with no monthly fee for Commerce. Kit holds a Trustpilot score of 3.9 from 162 reviews.

The catch with Kit's free tier

Automations and sequences require a paid plan. The free tier sends broadcasts, but the welcome sequence that does most of the trust-building for a spiritual coach is a paid feature, so most coaches who rely on nurture will end up on Creator. Kit fulfills digital products only. It has no scheduling, client records or session management, and no course portal, community, habits or check-ins for clients. Every step after "this reader is ready to work with me" happens somewhere else.

Pick it over Coachful if you are building a large newsletter audience first, your coaching is a small part of the business or already handled elsewhere, and you want a no-cost plan for up to 10,000 subscribers while you grow.

4. Systeme.io: best for a near-zero budget

Systeme.io is a low-cost marketing suite that combines funnels, email, courses, a community, a blog and an affiliate program. For a spiritual coach launching a first offer with almost no budget, it is one of the few tools that lets you sell a course and email a list without paying monthly. It holds a Trustpilot score of 4.9 from 8,696 reviews.

Systeme.io homepage promoting its all-in-one funnel, email and course builder
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

What the free plan really includes

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, 500 students, 1 blog, 1 affiliate program, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign, and it never expires; no credit card is required. Startup costs $17/mo for 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 5 courses. Webinar costs $47/mo for 10,000 contacts, 50 funnels and 20 courses. Unlimited costs $97/mo with unlimited contacts, funnels, courses and automation rules. Systeme.io charges 0% transaction fees on every plan, so you pay only Stripe or PayPal processing.

For a spiritual coach, that free tier could host a small meditation course, a funnel offering a free guided practice, and one email campaign. PayPal support also matters if part of your audience prefers it.

Trade-offs for a coaching practice

One automation rule and one email campaign on the free plan are tight. A real welcome sequence plus a monthly newsletter will push most coaches onto Startup quickly. According to vendor profiles compiled in September 2026, Systeme.io has no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, its community and course features are basic, and there is no branded mobile app. That leaves the daily practice side of spiritual coaching to another tool, and booking to a third. Funnels built here are tied to Systeme.io's own builder, so moving later means rebuilding pages.

Pick it over Coachful if you need to start for close to nothing, you want PayPal at checkout, and your first offers are courses and funnels rather than programs with daily client practice.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

5. Kajabi: best for course and membership libraries

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform built for selling knowledge products. Spiritual teachers with a deep library of recorded meditations, teachings and membership content often consider it, because the products sit in one polished place with email built in.

Kajabi homepage presenting its course, community and website platform
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

How Kajabi fits a teaching business

If your work is primarily recorded content, a membership with monthly teachings, or a signature course you sell repeatedly, Kajabi gives you email, pages and a community around those products. Our course platform comparison for spiritual coaches looks at that side in detail.

Pricing as listed in October 2026: Basic is $179/mo ($143/mo annually) for 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249/mo ($199/mo annually) for 50 products, 25,000 contacts, 11 admin users and 500 AI credits. Pro is $499/mo ($399/mo annually) for unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 communities and 3 websites. The standard trial is 14 days; a card is optional, and if you enter one, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges when the trial ends. Some features, including bulk contact import, test emails and some automations, stay locked until a paid plan is active.

Fees and gaps worth knowing

Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Using another processor other than PayPal adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro, on top of that provider's fees. Coaching on Kajabi is shaped as products and communities rather than per-client plans, and there is no habit tracking or daily client check-ins. Basic caps you at 2,500 contacts, which a spiritual coach with a popular free meditation can reach sooner than expected. Kajabi holds a Trustpilot score of 3.4 from 2,347 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if most of your income comes from a large catalog of recorded courses and memberships, you rarely run 1:1 or small-group programs with daily practice, and the higher monthly price is justified by product sales.

6. Kartra: best for launch campaigns with SMS

Kartra is an all-in-one marketing suite with pages, funnels, email and SMS, memberships, calendars and a helpdesk. It fits spiritual coaches who run launches, such as a yearly retreat or a seasonal program opening, and want email, text reminders and support tickets inside one system.

Kartra homepage presenting its all-in-one marketing suite

Kartra's plans, read closely

As listed in October 2026, Essentials costs $59/mo ($52/mo annually) for 500 contacts, 5 pages, 1 product, 1 membership or course, 10,000 emails per month, 1 domain and 30 AI uses, with a 5% transaction fee. Starter costs $119/mo ($99/mo annually) for 2,500 contacts, unlimited pages, products and memberships, unlimited email and SMS, and 5 team members, with 0% transaction fees. Growth costs $229/mo ($189/mo annually) for 12,500 contacts, 3 domains and 10 team members. Professional costs $549/mo ($429/mo annually) for 25,000 contacts. Every plan has a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee; the card requirement is not stated.

The Essentials plan is the trap for a spiritual coach. Five hundred contacts is small for anyone giving away a free meditation, and the 5% fee on every sale adds up on a retreat deposit or program payment. Most coaches who choose Kartra should budget for Starter.

Limits for ongoing practice

Kartra has no client habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans. Vendor profiles compiled in September 2026 also note no mobile app for students or admins, and that funnels and memberships are not portable to other platforms. So the launch machinery is strong, but the eight weeks after someone joins your program still need another home. Kartra holds a Trustpilot score of 3.2 from 129 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if your business revolves around big launch campaigns, you want SMS broadcasts and a helpdesk in the same tool as your email, and you are comfortable delivering the program itself elsewhere.

7. GoHighLevel: best when someone else builds for you

GoHighLevel (HighLevel) is an agency-first marketing CRM covering funnels, websites, calendars, SMS and email, invoicing, contracts, courses and communities, organized around sub-accounts. A spiritual coach usually ends up on it because a marketing agency or virtual assistant set it up for them.

GoHighLevel homepage presenting its marketing CRM and automation platform
GoHighLevel's homepage in October 2026.

Why agencies like it

The appeal is breadth and scale. The Starter plan, as listed in October 2026, costs $97/mo ($80.83/mo annually) with 3 sub-accounts and unlimited users and contacts. Unlimited costs $297/mo ($247.50/mo annually) and Agency Pro $497/mo ($414.17/mo annually), both with unlimited sub-accounts; Enterprise is custom. Every plan has a 14-day trial, and billing starts automatically when it ends unless you cancel. With unlimited contacts on the base plan, a large free list does not raise the subscription, and the workflow builder can automate almost any sequence if someone knows how to set it up. GoHighLevel holds a Trustpilot score of 4.9 from 15,250 reviews.

Hidden costs for a solo practice

SMS, email, phone numbers and AI usage are metered and billed on top of the plan, with per-unit rates on separate pricing guides rather than the main pricing page. Usage fees can apply even during the trial. There is no habit tracking, client check-in or structured coaching-program engine; that would have to be simulated with workflows and forms. Video calls rely on Zoom or Google Meet links, as there are no built-in video rooms. HIPAA is a $297/mo add-on, not included on Starter, Unlimited or Agency Pro. For a solo spiritual coach without a marketer, the setup burden is the biggest cost.

Pick it over Coachful if you already have an agency or marketer who builds and maintains workflows, you need SMS-heavy marketing, and you are happy to pay metered usage for unlimited contacts.

How do the features compare side by side?

What will you pay at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

For most email platforms, your bill depends on list size, not client count, so the price barely moves as you take on clients. Coachful prices by clients and includes everything else. The table assumes a list of up to about 1,000 subscribers and monthly billing as listed in October 2026.

Platform5 clients15 clients40 clientsWhat you still need to buy

Two notes on reading this. First, the "still need to buy" column is where the real difference sits: a Flodesk or Kit coach typically adds a booking tool, a course host and a community app, each with its own subscription. Second, a spiritual coach with 40 clients often has a list well above 1,000 readers, and Flodesk and Kit both scale with subscribers, so treat those figures as floors. Our marketing budget template helps you add up your own stack.

How would a spiritual coach set this up in Coachful?

A spiritual coach can go from an empty account to a working email-to-client path in a few sittings, or hand most of it to the white-glove team. Here is an illustrative example: a coach launching an eight-week group program called "Coming Home to Yourself", with a free guided meditation as the entry point.

  1. Start a free trial and request a build. From Create, ask for a website and a lead-magnet funnel, attaching your logo, a few photos and the text of your About page. If you would rather build yourself, pick a homepage template; the calm wellness templates suit most spiritual brands.
  2. Set up the lead magnet. Upload your ten-minute grounding meditation as a download and create a lead-magnet funnel for it. Add Meta Pixel and UTM tracking if you plan to share it through ads or partner newsletters.
  3. Write the welcome sequence. Draft five emails over roughly ten days: the meditation and how to use it, your story, one practice to try, an invitation to a free monthly circle, and an invitation to book a call. Ask Michelle for first drafts from your notes, then rewrite them in your own voice. Use a branch to send people who opened the circle invitation down a different path, and A/B test two subject lines on the first email.
  4. Add the scope line. Put a short note in the welcome sequence and on your booking page that spiritual coaching is not therapy, with a pointer to professional and emergency support.
  5. Build the booking page. Create a free 20-minute connection call with intake questions, buffers and minimum notice. Time-zone detection handles an international audience, and reminders reduce no-shows.
  6. Prepare the agreement and checkout. Write a coaching agreement for e-signature before the first call. Set the program price with a payment plan through your Stripe account, and create a coupon if you offer a reduced rate to a few people.
  7. Build the program. Set weekly themes as goals, daily tasks such as a short sit or a journaling prompt, a meditation habit with a streak, a morning intention check-in and an evening reflection. When people enroll, their cohort group is created automatically for discussion between live calls.
  8. Send a monthly broadcast. Keep a rhythm, for example a letter at each new moon or the start of each season, sent to the whole list or a segment. Our nurture funnel guide covers what to put in it.
  9. Review the numbers. Check the Email tab in Analytics alongside client activity and retention. Our article on five email metrics to track explains which ones matter.

The point of the example is the handoff. The reader who joins through the meditation, books a call, signs the agreement, pays and starts the program never leaves one branded space, and you never export a list between apps.

What red flags and switching costs should you watch for?

The biggest red flags are pricing that rises with list size, fees that appear only at checkout, and features locked behind higher tiers. The biggest switching cost is rebuilding sequences and funnels, not moving contacts.

Red flags when comparing

  • Free plans that cannot do the job. Flodesk's free plan cannot send email, and Kit's free plan has no automations. Check that the free tier includes a welcome sequence before you build around it.
  • Low contact caps. Kartra Essentials stops at 500 contacts and Kajabi Basic at 2,500. A well-shared free meditation can pass those numbers in a single season.
  • Transaction fees on sales. Kartra Essentials takes 5%, Kit Commerce charges 3.5% + $0.30 all-in, and Kajabi adds 0.5% to 2% with outside processors.
  • Metered usage. GoHighLevel bills SMS, email, phone and AI separately from the plan.
  • Consent shortcuts. Do not add people from a free circle, a retreat sign-in sheet or a social media DM to your list unless they agreed to receive email. In the US, the FTC's CAN-SPAM compliance guide requires a working opt-out and a valid postal address in commercial email. If you have EU subscribers, this overview of the GDPR explains the consent rules that apply. Check with an attorney where your situation is unclear.

What switching actually costs

Moving a subscriber list is usually the easy part. The work is in rebuilding welcome sequences, re-creating forms and landing pages, reconnecting your sending domain, and re-uploading courses or meditations. Funnels and memberships on some platforms, Kartra included according to its September 2026 profile, are not portable, so they are rebuilt from scratch. Before you switch, export your subscribers with their tags and consent dates, save copies of every email in your sequences, and download your course files.

On Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can rebuild a sequence, funnel or site from what you send them. If you ever leave, you can export full client data as a ZIP, including roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses, plus a course export.

Which platform should a spiritual coach choose?

Choose Coachful if you sell sessions, programs or circles and want your email, booking, payments and between-session practice in one place. It is the only platform in this list that carries a subscriber all the way to a client doing a daily practice without a second tool, and the free white-glove build removes most of the setup effort. Plans start at Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients.

Choose Flodesk if your business is a visual newsletter plus a few digital products. Choose Kit if you are building a large free readership first. Choose Systeme.io if budget is the deciding factor and you need PayPal. Choose Kajabi if recorded courses and memberships are your main income. Choose Kartra for launch campaigns with SMS, and GoHighLevel only if someone else will build and maintain it. Frequently asked questions

What is the best email marketing platform for spiritual coaches?

For spiritual coaches who sell sessions, programs or circles, Coachful is our pick because email sits in the same account as booking, payments, programs with daily check-ins and a community. If you mainly send a newsletter and sell digital products, Flodesk or Kit are strong email-only choices. We make Coachful, so compare the trade-offs above against your own practice.

Can I start email marketing for free as a spiritual coach?

Yes, with limits. As listed in October 2026, Kit's free Newsletter plan covers up to 10,000 subscribers but excludes automations, and Systeme.io's free plan includes 2,000 contacts with one automation rule and one email campaign. Flodesk's free plan cannot send email. Coachful has no permanent free plan but offers a free trial.

What is Coachful's white-glove service, and does it cost extra?

It is a free build service on every plan. You describe what you want, such as a website, funnel, email sequence or newsletter, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Do I need a separate booking tool if I use Kit or Flodesk?

Yes. Neither Kit nor Flodesk offers scheduling, client records or session management, so you would add a scheduler for discovery calls and sessions, and usually a course host and community tool too. That separate stack is what an all-in-one coaching platform replaces.

How often should a spiritual coach email their list?

Pick a rhythm you can keep for a year, because consistency builds more trust than frequency. Many spiritual coaches tie their letter to a natural cycle such as the new moon or the seasons, which gives readers something to expect. Add a welcome sequence for new subscribers so the first week does not depend on your broadcast schedule.

Can I add people from my free circle or workshop to my email list?

Only if they agreed to receive email from you. Ask for consent on the registration form, and include a clear unsubscribe link and a postal address in every marketing email, as the FTC's CAN-SPAM guidance requires in the US. If you have EU subscribers, GDPR consent rules apply as well; check with an attorney if you are unsure.

Is Coachful HIPAA compliant for spiritual coaching?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Spiritual coaching is not therapy; if a client needs mental health treatment or crisis support, refer them to a licensed professional or emergency services.

Can Coachful replace Kajabi for a spiritual course and membership?

For many coaches, yes: Coachful includes courses with drip and completion tracking, downloads, videos, bundles, a community and email, plus habits and check-ins that Kajabi does not offer. If your business is a very large catalog of recorded products and you rarely run programs with daily practice, Kajabi may still fit better.

Does Coachful charge a fee on sales?

No. Since August 2026 Coachful charges a 0% platform fee, so you pay only processing to Stripe or Razorpay, which run through your own account. Note that Coachful does not support PayPal.

How do I move my list and sequences into Coachful?

Export your subscribers with their tags from your current tool and save copies of your sequence emails. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and you can ask the white-glove team to rebuild an email sequence or newsletter from the copies you send.
