Done for You Coaching Funnel: What to Build and Send

A LinkedIn post, a free scorecard, a thank-you page with a booking calendar on it, three short emails. That is a complete coaching funnel, and it is roughly what the sample career coach in the screenshots below asks us for. A done for you coaching funnel is that path, planned, written and wired up by someone else, so that a stranger who likes one of your posts can end up on a call with you without you doing anything by hand in between.
You can build one yourself in an afternoon if you know which funnel you need. You can also hand it to us: Coachful's team builds funnels for free on every plan, inside your own account, from a short form you fill in. We usually reply with next steps within around 24 hours.
This guide covers the funnels that do most of the work for coaches, how to choose by where your audience already spends time, how to build one in Coachful, the copy that matters most, and how to request the free build.
Five coaching funnels that cover most practices
Coaches tend to overthink funnels. In practice, five shapes cover nearly every situation, and most new coaches need only one of them.
| Funnel | The steps | Works best when |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery call | Landing page, short intake questions, booking calendar, confirmation, reminder emails | You sell 1:1 coaching and people already know roughly what you do |
| Free guide or checklist | Landing page, email capture, delivery page, a few follow-up emails, invite to a call or offer | People are curious but not ready to talk yet |
| Quiz or scorecard | Quiz, results page, email follow-up matched to the result | Your audience likes to self-diagnose ("which type of burnout do I have?") |
| Webinar or masterclass | Registration page, confirmation, reminders, the live session, replay and offer | You teach well live and have a program to invite people into |
| Sales page | Offer page, checkout, welcome screen, onboarding emails | People arrive warm, from your list, a challenge or a call |
A 5-day challenge is a sixth, popular shape: signup, five daily lessons and an offer on day five. We cover it in its own guide to the 5-day challenge funnel. For a deeper walk through the first shape, see the discovery call funnel for coaches.

Choose the funnel by where your people already are
Our funnel request form asks "Where will people come from?" for a reason: traffic decides the shape. A few rules of thumb from what we see:
- LinkedIn. People are at work and skeptical of fluff. A scorecard or a short practical guide works well, followed by a strategy call.
- Instagram. Attention is short and mostly on a phone. A free guide or a quiz with a single, thumb-sized button beats a long page.
- Facebook groups. Conversation is the currency. A free community or a live workshop often converts better than a PDF.
- Paid ads. You are paying for every click, so measure from day one. Add your pixel and UTM tags before you spend anything, and read why to work out your cost per client before scaling ads.
- Your email list. These people already trust you. Send them straight to a sales page or a call.
- YouTube or a podcast. Viewers have spent twenty minutes with you already. A deeper resource or a webinar fits the mood.
- Referrals. Skip the lead magnet. A clean booking page with three intake questions is enough.

How to build a coaching funnel yourself in Coachful
Go to Sell > How people find you > Funnels > New Funnel. The wizard's first step ends with Start from a template: a row of 25 written funnel templates with a category menu for lead magnets, events, calls, sales pages, community and onboarding. Each one has a preview that lists every screen with its headline.
- Pick a template that matches the shape you chose above. Use this template preselects the funnel type and carries on with the normal wizard.
- Connect the real thing. Choose the free resource, the offer, program, event or session type the funnel leads to, then the name and the web address.
- Edit the landing page. Templates come with a headline, benefits, how it works, an About you section with bracketed fill-ins and an empty portrait slot, a FAQ and a closing call to action. Replace every bracket with your own words.
- Keep it as a draft while you check it. Templates default to draft, so nothing is public until you choose.
- Add the follow-up emails as an email sequence that starts when someone completes the funnel.
- Test it on your phone with a second email address, from the first click to the last email.
The templates are written to be coach-agnostic and never invent testimonials, statistics, prices, guarantees or countdowns, so what you publish is true. Using a template costs no AI credits.

The copy that does most of the work
A funnel has maybe 300 words that matter. Spend your time on these.
The landing page headline
Name the person and the result. Three patterns that hold up:
- "The [time]-minute [tool] for [who] who [problem]." Example: "The 10-minute Career Clarity Scorecard for mid-career professionals who feel stuck."
- "[Result] without [the usual cost]." Example: "Calmer evenings without another meal plan you will abandon by Thursday."
- "Find out [what they wonder] in [short time]." Example: "Find out which kind of burnout you are dealing with in five questions."
The button
Say what happens next: "Send me the scorecard", "Book my free 30-minute call", "Save my seat". Avoid "Submit".
The thank-you page
This is the most neglected page in coaching. The person just said yes to you. Put your booking calendar or your next step right there, with one sentence about why: "Most people who take the scorecard have one question about their result. Bring it to a free 30-minute call."
Three follow-up emails
- Email 1, immediately: "Your scorecard is here." Deliver it, and tell them the one score to look at first.
- Email 2, two days later: a short story from your own work, anonymized, about someone with their result.
- Email 3, three days after that: "Want help turning this into a plan?" with the booking link.
For a longer sequence, our welcome email sequence for coaches has subject lines for every email.

Have the Coachful team build your funnel for free
Open Funnels and press Fill in a form on the Want us to build it for you? card. The same request is the last tile in the funnel template row, and it is on the Create page as We'll build it for you · FREE.
The funnel form asks:
- What should this funnel do? Book discovery calls, grow your email list, sell a program or offer, deliver a free resource, fill an event or webinar, or something else.
- Who is it for, and what do they get? This is the one required answer.
- What journey should people follow? For example: Instagram post, quiz, results page, booking page, reminder emails.
- Where will people come from? Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, paid ads, email list, your website, YouTube or podcast, referrals.
- Funnels or pages you like (up to 8 links), copy, branding, images or offers to include, up to 10 files, and anything that feels broken or unfinished.

The team reads everything and replies by email with next steps, usually within around 24 hours. That is typical, not a guaranteed deadline. Everything is built inside your account: the funnel steps, the landing page and, if you ask, the emails. You can edit any of it afterwards.
Funnels we have built recently
- A business mentor for beauty professionals selling on Instagram: a sales page and checkout for a 12-week mentorship, a free start-up-guide funnel that now leads into the sales page, and rewritten follow-up emails. The design came from the coach's own free guide PDF.
- A psychologist-turned-coach working on emotional eating: a free-community funnel that delivers a guide, linked from a homepage with three paths.
- A real-estate and money coach: a free nine-day bootcamp course with its own signup funnel and emails, feeding a year-long cohort program with an application form.
- An author and speaker: a free community signup page alongside a new website.
What it does not cover
We build the funnel. We do not run your ads, manage your social accounts or record videos for the funnel, and we do not promise a fixed delivery date. The full guide to the free white-glove service lists everything else the team can build, from websites to worksheets.
Mistakes that quietly break coaching funnels
- Two calls to action on the landing page. "Download the guide" and "Book a call" compete. Pick one and move the other to the thank-you page.
- A free thing nobody wants. "My 5 tips for a better life" is hard to want. "The 7-day meal guide for people who hate meal prep" is easy.
- No follow-up. Most people do not book on the first visit. Without emails, the funnel ends at the download.
- Asking for too much. Name and email is enough for a guide. Save the ten intake questions for the booking step.
- Never testing on a phone. If a funnel starts on Instagram, it lives or dies on a small screen.
- Measuring nothing. Add pixels before you spend on ads, and check where people drop off before rewriting anything.
If you are still deciding what your funnel should sell, start with how to create a coaching offer. Once the offer is clear, the funnel is mostly plumbing, which is why we are happy to do it for you. The coaching funnel software page lists what the builder can connect: booking, checkout, free resources, programs and email.
Frequently asked questions
What is a done for you coaching funnel?
It is a sales or lead funnel that someone else plans, writes and builds for you: a landing page, the signup or booking step, any delivery or checkout screens and the follow-up emails. On Coachful the team builds it inside your account for free, so you can edit every step afterwards.
Which funnel is best for a new coach?
Usually a discovery call funnel or a free guide that leads to a call. Both are short, need one simple free thing, and put you in conversation with real prospects quickly. Webinar and challenge funnels work better once you have an audience and a program to invite people into.
Does Coachful charge to build my funnel?
No. Funnel builds are free on every Coachful plan and labelled FREE and Complimentary gift in the app. Coachful itself is a paid subscription with a free trial, and funnels, email sequences, booking and checkout are part of it.
Can Coachful write the emails for my funnel?
Yes. Ask for them in the funnel form, or choose Email sequence or newsletter in the general build form. Send any emails you already use and the offer they lead to, and the team writes the sequence in your account.
How long does a done-for-you funnel take?
The team usually replies with next steps within around 24 hours. That is a typical turnaround and not a guaranteed deadline, so put any launch date in the last box of the form.
Can I track which posts or ads bring people into the funnel?
Yes. Coachful funnels fire Meta, Google and Bing pixels on each step and store UTM parameters and ad click IDs, so you can see which source a lead came from. Set this up before you run paid ads, not after.
