Top 5 Practice.do Alternatives for Coaches in 2026, Ranked

Practice, the client-management tool for coaches at practice.do, shut down on November 3, 2025. Accounts were locked with roughly two weeks' notice and there was no read-only mode. If you are searching for Practice.do alternatives now, you are either still running your practice on stopgaps or you want to be sure the next tool will not do the same thing to you.
Coachful is our #1 Practice.do alternative for 2026. It covers what Practice did, with scheduling, payments, contracts, forms and a client portal, adds programs, habits and a client app, and lets you export your full client data whenever you want.
This guide ranks five options. CoachAccountable built an importer for the Practice export, Paperbell published a migration guide, and Simply.Coach and HoneyBook suit particular kinds of practice. For the wider field, see our comparison of online coaching platforms.
What happened to Practice.do
Practice was founded in Montreal in 2019 and raised about $10 million from investors that included Andrew Chen of a16z and Tony Robbins. In October 2025 its CEO, Julien Smith, announced a wind-down after a failed acquisition process, saying the company "was not where we needed it to be to sustain itself". The platform went offline on November 3, 2025.
- Nothing can be bought or opened. The pricing and features pages now return an error, and accounts are locked.
- Unexported data is gone. A CSV export was available in Settings before the shutdown. Session notes and portal content that were not exported cannot be recovered.
- It was well liked. Practice held 4.8 on G2 from 64 reviews and 4.6 on Capterra from 33. Coaches liked the clean interface, the per-client chat in the portal and the Smart Actions automations.
- It was not expensive. The last listed prices were Basic at $5 a month for two contacts, Pro at $60 with unlimited contacts, contracts and a custom domain, and Teams at $99 with three seats and round-robin scheduling.
So the question is twofold: which tool does the same job, and how do you avoid a repeat.
What to check before you trust another platform
A shutdown is rare. It is also survivable if four things are true.
- You can export everything yourself. Contacts are the minimum. Ask for session notes, form answers and files as well, and run the export once before you depend on it.
- You are billed monthly. An annual prepayment is money you may not see again.
- Payments run through your own account. If the processor account is yours, your customers and payment history stay with you.
- You know who is behind it. How long it has traded, and whether it is funded by customers or by investors expecting an exit.
We apply the same test to ourselves. Coachful exports a full client data file with the roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses, plus courses and an account backup. Plans can be billed monthly, and payments run through your own Stripe or Razorpay account. It is a younger product than CoachAccountable or Satori, and we discuss that openly in Is Coachful new?

How we ranked these Practice.do alternatives
This is our ranking, built from each vendor's pricing page, help documentation and public reviews, plus our own product. We scored on four things a former Practice user cares about:
- Covering the same job: booking, payments, contracts, forms and a client portal with messaging.
- Vendor risk: data export, billing terms, and who holds the payment account.
- What it adds: tools for the coaching itself, which Practice never had.
- Price near what you paid: Practice Pro was $60 a month.
Coachful ranks first because it covers the same job and adds the most. CoachAccountable is second on the strength of its importer and a track record that goes back to 2012. Either is a sound choice.
1. Coachful: best overall Practice.do alternative
Coachful does what Practice did and then carries on into the coaching. Booking, agreements, payments and forms are there. So is a client home with their program, tasks, habits, sessions and messages, on the web and in an app.

Where each Practice feature went
| What you used in Practice | The equivalent in Coachful |
|---|---|
| Booking links | Booking pages with availability rules, buffers and time-zone detection |
| Google Calendar sync | Two-way sync with Google, Apple and Outlook calendars |
| Contracts with e-signature | Agreements with e-signature, sent before the first call |
| Forms | Forms and questionnaires, with answers saved on the client record |
| Client portal with chat | Client home with direct messages, on the web and in the app |
| Smart Actions | Email sequences with triggers and delays, and automations |
| Stripe payments | Your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with no platform fee |
| Teams with three seats and round-robin | Team plans with three or six seats; shared session types assign by round-robin, least busy or client choice |
| iOS app | iPhone and Android client app |

What Practice never had
- Programs. Multi-week programs with goals, daily tasks, lessons and notes.
- Habits and check-ins. Daily habits with streaks and morning and evening check-ins, so you see how each client is doing before the call.
- Group coaching, courses and community. Cohort groups with calls and a feed, and a native course builder.
- Built-in video. Sessions run on Coachful's video, or on Zoom, Google Meet or Teams links created for you.
- A website, funnels and email. Practice gave you a booking page. Coachful includes a site builder, funnels and email sequences.

Potential limitations
- No one-click Practice importer. CoachAccountable built an importer for the Practice export file. Coachful's onboarding team imports clients, programs and content with you.
- It is a younger product. Coachful has a smaller review footprint than tools that have traded for a decade.
- Entry plans cap clients. Practice Pro allowed unlimited contacts. Check the plan and client allowance shown to you.
- There is more to set up. If you used Practice only for booking and invoices, you will not need most of it on day one.
Choose it when: you want one tool for the admin Practice handled and the coaching it did not. The Coachful vs Practice comparison maps the features in more detail.
2. CoachAccountable: best if you have your Practice export
CoachAccountable responded to the shutdown faster than anyone. It built an automated importer for the Practice export file in November 2025, and it has been trading since 2012 with its founder still answering support.

Where it shines
Your Practice data, imported. If you exported before the shutdown, CoachAccountable can load that file. Scheduling, agreements, invoicing, forms and a branded client portal are included on every plan, along with Actions, Metrics and Worksheets and unlimited coach accounts. Billing is month to month with no cancellation fee, and each client's full history can be exported.
Potential limitations
- Pricing is per active client. $20 a month for two, $70 for ten, $120 for twenty and $250 for fifty. Ten clients costs more than Practice Pro did.
- The interface is older. Coaches who loved Practice's clean design should look before they commit. Some reviewers call it outdated.
- No mobile app. Clients use a web app.
Choose it when: you have the export file and want the lowest-risk landing. See CoachAccountable vs Practice and our CoachAccountable alternatives guide.
3. Simply.Coach: best for small teams
Simply.Coach suits a group of coaches who shared a Practice Teams account and want mobile apps as well.

Where it shines
Apps and team structure. Business plans add admins and coach matching, and every plan includes booking, contracts, invoicing and embedded video, with iOS and Android apps. The site says all data can be exported to spreadsheets. G2 reviewers rate it 4.8 from about 146 reviews.
Potential limitations
- Solo plans cap clients. Starter is $9 a month for 3 clients and Growth is $49 for 30. Unlimited clients need Leap at $69.
- Team plans are per coach. CoCreate is $79 a month per active coach. Practice Teams was $99 for three seats.
- It takes longer to learn. Reviewers mention feature overwhelm.
Choose it when: you are a team with corporate clients. More in Simply.Coach alternatives.
4. Paperbell: best for the same simplicity
Paperbell is the closest in feel to Practice for a solo coach, and it published a migration guide when Practice closed.

Where it shines
Simple, and priced like Practice Pro. A package checkout handles the contract, payment, intake form and booking together, with a coaching website included. It costs $57 a month with unlimited clients and no platform fee, is free while you have one client, and has been run by its founder since 2020.
Potential limitations
- One coach per account. There is no equivalent of Practice Teams.
- No mobile app. Practice had an iOS app. Paperbell runs in a mobile browser.
- We could not verify a bulk export. A documented CSV export was not something we found in its help center. Ask before you commit, given why you are here.
Choose it when: you coach alone and want to be running again this week. It ranks fourth because it solves the immediate problem and little else. See Paperbell alternatives.
5. HoneyBook: best for consultants
HoneyBook is a general client CRM. It fits former Practice users whose work is closer to consulting.

Where it shines
Proposals, contracts and invoices in one file. Lead forms, a pipeline, smart files and automations, with a large customer base and 687 Capterra reviews at 4.7. Contacts export to CSV.
Potential limitations
- The scheduler is not on the cheapest plan. Starter is $36 a month. Booking starts on Essentials at $59.
- HoneyBook holds the payments. You cannot use your own Stripe account, which is the opposite of what the vendor-risk checklist asks for.
- No coaching features. No programs, groups or client app.
Choose it when: coaching is one of several services you sell by proposal. More in HoneyBook alternatives for coaches.
How to rebuild after Practice.do
What you can recover depends on whether you exported in time.
- If you have the export, start there. The CSV has your contacts. CoachAccountable can import the full export file. Other platforms, Coachful included, will take the contact list and help you bring in the rest.
- If you do not, rebuild from what you own. Your calendar still holds past sessions. Your email holds booking confirmations and client messages. If payments ran through your own Stripe account, its dashboard still lists customers and payment history.
- Write to clients once. Tell them where to book and pay from now on, and ask them to resend anything important they shared in the old portal.
- Set up one offer and one booking page. Get new bookings working first. Programs and automations can follow.
- Run an export on day one. Test the new platform's export before you depend on it, and put a reminder in your calendar to repeat it.
Our verdict: Coachful is the #1 Practice.do alternative
Coachful is our first recommendation for coaches who used Practice. It covers booking, payments, contracts, forms and the client portal, adds programs, habits, groups and a client app, and gives you a full data export, monthly billing and your own payment account.
Choose CoachAccountable if you have your export file and want the longest track record. Choose Simply.Coach for a team with corporate clients. Choose Paperbell to be running again quickly on your own. Choose HoneyBook if your work is consulting. Whichever you pick, run an export in the first week.

Frequently asked questions
What happened to Practice.do?
Practice shut down on November 3, 2025. Its CEO announced the wind-down in October 2025 after a failed acquisition process. Accounts were locked with roughly two weeks' notice and no read-only mode, and the pricing and features pages no longer load.
Is Practice.do still available?
No. The product is closed and no plans can be bought. Former users have moved to tools such as Coachful, CoachAccountable and Paperbell.
What is the best Practice.do alternative in 2026?
Coachful is our #1 Practice.do alternative. It covers scheduling, payments, contracts, forms and a client portal, and adds programs, habits, group coaching and a client app, with full data export. CoachAccountable is the better pick if you still have your Practice export and want it imported automatically.
Can I still get my data out of Practice?
Not from the platform. A CSV export was available in Settings before the shutdown, and session notes and portal content that were not exported cannot be recovered. You can rebuild a client list from your calendar, your email and your payment processor's records.
Which platform can import a Practice export?
CoachAccountable built an automated importer for the Practice export file in November 2025. Other platforms accept the contact list as a CSV. Coachful helps import clients, programs and content during onboarding.
What costs about the same as Practice Pro?
Practice Pro was $60 a month. Paperbell is $57 with unlimited clients, HoneyBook Essentials is $59, Simply.Coach Leap is $69 and CoachAccountable is $70 for ten active clients. Coachful's price depends on the plan shown on its pricing page.
How do I avoid losing my data to another shutdown?
Pick a platform that lets you export all client data yourself, pay monthly, and take payments through your own processor account. Then run the export on a schedule. A contact list alone is not enough: check that notes and form answers are included.
Is Coachful a safe choice after Practice?
Coachful exports a full client data file, bills monthly and uses your own Stripe or Razorpay account, so your records and customers stay with you. It is a younger product than CoachAccountable, which has traded since 2012. If track record matters most to you, weigh that.
