Why did Practice.do shut down?

CEO Julien Smith announced the wind-down in October 2025, saying the company was not where it needed to be to sustain itself after a failed acquisition process. The platform went fully offline on 3 November 2025 with roughly two weeks of notice and no read-only mode, despite about $10M raised from investors including a16z's Andrew Chen and Tony Robbins.

What happens to my Practice data and clients now?

If you exported the CSV from Settings before 3 November 2025, you have your contacts and can import them anywhere. Un-exported session notes and portal content are unrecoverable; the official pricing and features pages now return 404. Your clients are still your clients: they just need a new home for booking, payment and notes, which is what Coachful's white-glove import during onboarding is for.

CoachAccountable built an automated importer for the Practice ZIP export within days of the shutdown, holds a 5.0 on Capterra from 67 reviews, and offers a 30-day trial without a card. Its pricing is per client ($70/mo for up to 10, $120 for 20), it has no website builder and no mobile app, and it describes itself as not HIPAA compliant.

Yes, especially if Practice was your admin hub and you wanted more. Does Coachful sync with Outlook? Practice never did.

Yes. Coachful syncs two-way with Google Calendar and Outlook / Microsoft 365, which was the most frequent Practice complaint. It creates Zoom, Google Meet or Teams links automatically or runs sessions on built-in video, and sends email, SMS (24h) and WhatsApp (1h) reminders. Apple Calendar sync is not available yet, so iCloud-only coaches should know that going in.

Look at two things: the export path and the billing terms. Coachful exports a full client data ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses), a course export and an org backup JSON at any time, and plans are monthly with one-click cancel. CoachAccountable has a per-client export button and no annual lock-in. Paperbell's CSV export could not be verified in its help center.
