Top 5 upcoach Alternatives for Coaches in 2026, Ranked

Top 5 upcoach Alternatives for Coaches in 2026, Ranked

upcoach is built for cohorts: a program with lessons, worksheets, habits, a community and a dashboard that shows who is keeping up. Coaches and training companies who search for upcoach alternatives are usually reacting to the bill and the gaps around it. The platform takes a cut of every sale until the $399 plan, participants are capped by tier, and there are no contracts or invoices.

Coachful is our #1 upcoach alternative for 2026. It runs group programs with habits, check-ins and community, charges no platform fee on any plan, and includes the agreements, invoices, scheduling and website that upcoach leaves out.

This guide ranks five options. Mighty Networks, CoachAccountable, Delenta and Skool each suit a different kind of group business, and for a training company with many facilitators upcoach may still be the right tool. For the wider field, see our group coaching platform comparison.

Why coaches look for an upcoach alternative

upcoach launched in 2020, co-founded by performance coach Todd Herman. Reviewers single out its habit tracker and progress dashboards, every plan includes roles for admins, facilitators and sponsors, and it was early to connect to AI assistants. Capterra rates it 4.9 from 8 reviews, and the trial runs 14 days with no card.

upcoach is built for cohorts and training programs. Fees and participant caps depend on the plan.

The reasons coaches move on:

  • A platform fee on every sale. upcoach charges 2% on Starter, 1% on Pro and 0.5% on Business+, on top of Stripe. The fee disappears on Scale, at $399 a month billed annually.
  • Participants are capped by plan. Starter is $49 a month billed annually, with 25 active participants and one team seat. Pro is $99 with 100 participants and two seats. Business+ is $199 with 250 participants and five seats.
  • No contracts or invoicing. Neither is part of the product, so client paperwork lives in another tool.
  • Video and calendars lean on other tools. Sessions run through a Zoom integration, and reviewers report that Outlook calendar sync is missing.
  • No marketing tools. Programs have landing pages. There is no website builder, funnel builder or email marketing.

If you run large cohorts with several facilitators and sponsors, and the habit tracker is why you bought it, upcoach is strong at exactly that. The rest of this page is for coaches who want fewer fees or a more complete practice tool.

How we ranked these upcoach alternatives

This is our ranking, built from each vendor's pricing page, help documentation and public reviews, plus our own product. We scored each tool on what an upcoach customer would be giving up and hoping to gain:

  • Group delivery: cohorts, community, habits and a view of who is keeping up.
  • Fees and caps: what is taken from each sale, and how many people a plan allows.
  • Business admin: contracts, invoices and scheduling.
  • Marketing: a website, funnels and email to fill the next cohort.

Coachful ranks first because it is the only option that scores on all four. Mighty Networks is second for group delivery at scale, though it charges a platform fee of its own.

1. Coachful: best overall upcoach alternative

Coachful runs a cohort the way upcoach does, with a program, lessons, tasks, habits and a community. It also runs the business around the cohort: the agreement a participant signs, the invoice they receive, the one-to-one session they book and the page that sold them the place.

Group programs with habits and community

A group program has weekly goals, daily tasks, lessons and notes. When clients enroll, Coachful creates the cohort's group with its own feed, group chat and calls. Habits carry streaks, and morning and evening check-ins tell you who is engaged before the next session. See program software and the community platform.

No platform fee, on any plan

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, and Coachful adds nothing on top. On a $20,000 launch, upcoach's Starter plan takes $400 and its Pro plan takes $200 before Stripe's own charges. On Coachful that line is zero.

What you gain

  • Agreements and invoices. Agreements with e-signature before the first call, an invoice for every payment and manual invoices when you need them.
  • Scheduling and video. Booking pages for one-to-one sessions, two-way sync with Google, Apple and Outlook calendars, and built-in video or Zoom, Meet and Teams links.
  • Webinars and group calls. Live and automated webinars alongside cohort calls.
  • Courses. A native course builder with modules, drip release and completion tracking.
  • A website, funnels and email. A site builder with a blog, funnels and email sequences to fill the next cohort.
  • A client app. iPhone and Android, with your branding inside.

Team rolesAdmins, facilitators and sponsors on all plansThree or six coach seats on team plans

Potential limitations

  • Fewer team roles. upcoach gives facilitators and sponsors their own access on every plan. Coachful has coach seats and staff permissions, with six seats at most.
  • Entry plans cap clients. A large cohort needs the right plan. Check the plan and client allowance shown to you.
  • The app is not white-labelled in the stores. Participants download the Coachful app and see your branding inside.
  • It is broader than a cohort tool. If you only run cohorts and never sell one-to-one work, you will not use the scheduling or the CRM.

Choose it when: you run groups and private clients, you are tired of a fee on every sale, and you want the contract and the invoice in the same system. Our comparison of group coaching platforms has more on the cohort side.

2. Mighty Networks: best for community-led cohorts

Mighty Networks is the pick when the community is the product and cohorts run inside it. Members are unlimited on every plan.

Mighty Networks website homepage for its community platform

Where it shines

Unlimited members, with live video built in. Spaces, feeds, chat, events, cohort courses and Challenges live in one network, with native live streaming and a member app. Several hosts are included on every plan. G2 reviewers rate it 4.6 from 617 reviews.

Potential limitations

  • It takes a platform fee too. Launch is $79 a month billed annually with a 2% fee. Scale is $179 with 1%. Leaving upcoach for Mighty does not remove that line.
  • No one-to-one tools. There is no availability-based booking, and no contracts, invoices or per-client progress tracking.
  • Your own branded app costs far more. It is reserved for Mighty Pro, which is custom-priced.

Choose it when: you sell membership to a community with cohorts and events, and one-to-one coaching is not part of it. It ranks second for group delivery at scale.

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

3. CoachAccountable: best for tracked accountability with paperwork

CoachAccountable is the answer if the fee and the missing contracts are your two complaints and your groups are small.

CoachAccountable website showing its client workspace on desktop and phone

Where it shines

Accountability with the admin included. Actions, Metrics, Worksheets and routine tracking record what each participant committed to. Groups share actions, metrics and files, and agreements, invoicing and scheduling are on every plan with unlimited coach accounts. There is no platform fee, and Capterra reviewers give it 5.0 from 67 reviews.

Potential limitations

  • Each participant is a paid client. $70 a month covers ten active clients and $250 covers fifty. A cohort of 100 costs far more here than on upcoach.
  • No community feed. Groups share work, but there is no social feed or chat channel.
  • No mobile app. upcoach has iOS and Android apps. CoachAccountable is a web app.

Choose it when: your groups are small and high-ticket, where a per-client price is easy to carry. See CoachAccountable alternatives.

4. Delenta: best for cohorts with a white-label app

Delenta covers programs, group coaching and community feeds, and adds the contracts and invoicing upcoach lacks.

Delenta website homepage describing its coaching management platform

Where it shines

Contracts, cohorts and a branded app. Programs with drip content, group coaching, community feeds and group chat, digital contracts and automatic invoicing. Premium adds a course creator and a white-labelled iOS and Android app. Delenta charges no extra transaction fee.

Potential limitations

  • Client portals are capped. Starter is $29 a month with 10 portals and no group coaching. Pro is $49 with 40. Unlimited portals need Premium at $79.
  • No dedicated habit tracker. It works with tasks and goals. If upcoach's habit tracking is central to your programs, test this carefully.
  • Team pricing is custom. Multi-coach use sits on the Teams tier, priced per seat.

Choose it when: the app must carry your own name and cohorts are small enough for the portal caps. More in Delenta alternatives.

5. Skool: best for a simple paid community

Skool is the lightest option: a community, a course library and a calendar, with points and levels to keep people posting.

Skool website showing its community discovery page

Where it shines

Launch a paid group in an afternoon. Unlimited members, courses and calls on both plans, with payments and member tiers built in. The Hobby plan is $9 a month.

Potential limitations

  • The fees are higher than upcoach's. Hobby takes 10% of sales. Pro is $99 a month with 2.9% plus 30 cents, rising to 3.9% on sales above $899.
  • No habit tracking or progress dashboards. Points reward posting, not completing the work.
  • Very little control. No custom domain, no contracts, no one-to-one booking, and payments must run through Skool. Its Trustpilot score is 1.7 from 51 reviews, mostly about billing.

Choose it when: your offer is a community with weekly calls and you want the least setup. It is fifth because it drops the accountability that defines upcoach. See Skool alternatives.

How to switch from upcoach without disrupting a cohort

Do not move a group mid-program. Move between cohorts.

  1. Export participants. Clients export to CSV, including custom fields, from the Admin Panel.
  2. Let running cohorts finish. Participants have habits and progress in upcoach that will not transfer. Close each cohort where it started.
  3. Build the next cohort on the new platform. Recreate the program week by week, with its lessons, tasks and habits, then enroll yourself and one colleague as test participants.
  4. Move the checkout. Point your sales page at the new platform before enrollment opens for the next intake.
  5. Cancel after the last cohort closes. upcoach can be cancelled at any time.

Coachful's onboarding includes help importing clients, programs and content.

Our verdict: Coachful is the #1 upcoach alternative

Coachful is our first recommendation for coaches leaving upcoach. It keeps cohorts, habits, check-ins and community, removes the platform fee, and adds agreements, invoices, scheduling, a website and email.

Choose Mighty Networks if the community is the product. Choose CoachAccountable for small, high-ticket groups that need tracked homework. Choose Delenta for a white-label app. Choose Skool for the simplest paid group. And stay with upcoach if you run large cohorts with facilitators and sponsors and the fee is acceptable at your volume.

Try Coachful with one real cohort

Build a two-week group program with one habit and one live call, invite two test participants and open the community on your phone. Coachful has a 7-day free trial, card required, no charge during the trial, cancel in one click.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best upcoach alternative in 2026?

Coachful is our #1 upcoach alternative. It runs group programs with habits, check-ins and community, charges no platform fee on any plan, and adds agreements, invoices, scheduling, a website and email. Mighty Networks is the better pick when a large community is the product.

How much does upcoach cost?

On annual billing, upcoach Starter is $49 a month for 25 active participants, Pro is $99 for 100, Business+ is $199 for 250 and Scale is $399 for 500 or more. A platform fee of 2%, 1% or 0.5% applies below Scale. Prices were checked on 2 September 2026.

Does upcoach charge transaction fees?

Yes. upcoach adds a platform fee on top of Stripe processing: 2% on Starter, 1% on Pro and 0.5% on Business+. The Scale plan, at $399 a month billed annually, has no platform fee. Coachful, CoachAccountable and Delenta add no platform fee on any plan.

Does upcoach have contracts or invoicing?

No. upcoach has no contract signing and does not market invoicing. Coachful, CoachAccountable and Delenta all include agreements with e-signature and invoices.

Is upcoach good for one-to-one coaching?

It can run one-to-one programs, but it is designed for cohorts, masterminds and training programs. A solo coach who mainly needs scheduling, contracts and invoicing will find gaps. Coachful covers both group and one-to-one work.

Which upcoach alternative has no platform fee?

Coachful, CoachAccountable and Delenta charge no platform fee, so you pay only your payment processor. Mighty Networks charges 2% on Launch and 1% on Scale. Skool charges 10% on Hobby and 2.9% plus 30 cents on Pro.

upcoach or Mighty Networks?

upcoach is stronger on accountability, with habit tracking and progress dashboards for each participant. Mighty Networks is stronger on community, with unlimited members, native live streaming and events. Both take a platform fee on lower plans, and neither includes contracts or invoices.

How do I switch from upcoach?

Export participants to CSV, let current cohorts finish, and build your next cohort on the new platform. Test it with two people before enrollment opens, move the checkout, and cancel upcoach when the last running cohort ends.
