Best Coaching Communities for Business Coaches in 2026

The best communities for business coaches do something slightly ironic: they give you the peer advisory board you are always telling your clients to get. Business coaches spend their days on other people's pipelines, pricing and hiring, and very little time on their own. The right room fixes that, and it also puts you near the accountants, bookkeepers and owner networks where business coaching clients actually come from.
We compared nine communities for business coaches, from a credentialing body made for the niche and the big CEO peer group organizations to volunteer mentoring and the private community inside Coachful. For each one: who it suits, what stands out, where it falls short and when to pick it over our top choice. We also cover where your buyers gather, which is not the same place as your peers.
If the advice comes back as "your website doesn't say what an owner gets", Coachful's team will build a new one for free inside your account. More in the first entry.
What business coaches need from a community
Business coaching is sold to owners who judge everything by results. That shapes what a community has to give you.
| Business coaching need | Why it matters | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Your own pipeline | Owners buy from people they meet and trust, so you need a steady source of introductions | Referral partners, owner networks, volunteering |
| Packaging and pricing | Retainers, group programs and day rates all sell differently | A private peer community or mastermind |
| Facilitation skill | Many business coaches run groups and workshops, not only one-to-one sessions | Peer advisory organizations, co-coaching forums |
| Credibility | Owners ask "have you run a business?" before "are you certified?", but a credential still helps | A business coaching credential body |
| Accountability for your own goals | Coaches who never hit their own targets struggle to sell targets to others | A small mastermind of business coaches |
If you are still defining the offer, our explainer on what business coaching is and our guide to creating a business coaching program are good places to start before you ask a community to critique it.
How we chose these communities for business coaches
Our criteria, in order: practical help with your own coaching business from working coaches, access to the owners and partners who refer clients, facilitation and peer advisory experience, and credentials owners respect.
We ranked in that order and checked every organization on its own website in October 2026, quoting only figures they publish and no prices.

1. Coach Corner: the best community for business coaches running their own practice
Coach Corner is the private community for coaches inside Coachful, included with every Coachful plan. It is coaches only, opened from Community in the coach menu, and your clients never see it, which is what lets business coaches talk openly about their own numbers.

Business coaches tend to live in the Marketing and Questions channels. The demo community, with sample coaches, has a good example of why. One coach swapped the headline on her quiz funnel from a clever line to the exact moment her clients get stuck, and reports that opt-ins improved with the same traffic; the replies dig into whether lead quality changed, and she says it did, because the specific headline attracted coaches who already had a problem they could name. In another thread, a coach asks how many discovery calls a week everyone holds, says she capped hers and her close rate went up, and others reply that fewer calls forced them to qualify harder on the booking page. That is the kind of operating detail business coaches want from peers.
The Engage menu makes these conversations easier: a Poll on how others structure retainers, a Q&A with an accepted answer, a Commitment others can join ("I'm raising my prices on 1 November") and an anonymous Pulse. Badges such as Champion, Welcomer and Rising star are awarded automatically from what coaches actually do, and you can message any coach privately from the coaches list.

For business coaches who run groups, Coachful's other community, the one for your clients, matters as much. You can run a paid mastermind or a group program with its own channels, cohort groups created when clients enroll, live sessions and webinars. See Coachful for business coaches and the community platform for coaches for the details.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. Business coaches know a funnel is worth building; they rarely have the afternoon to build it. On every Coachful plan, Coachful's team builds it for you inside your account, usually within about 24 hours: a website that says what an owner gets, a sales page and checkout for a retainer or group program, a webinar or lead-magnet funnel, an application form for a mastermind, or a follow-up email sequence. You fill in a short form and attach up to eight links and ten files, and you can edit everything afterwards. Read about the free white-glove service.

Best for: business coaches who want practical, daily help with their own practice from peers who use the same tools. Where it falls short: it will not introduce you to business owners or give you a credential. Pick something else if what you need most is direct access to owners; pair it with an owner network or volunteering below.
2. Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC)
WABC is a credentialing and accreditation body made specifically for business coaches. It began in 1997 as the National Association of Business Coaches and calls itself "a self-regulating body that behaves as though it is regulated". Its site describes a global community in more than 125 countries and a ladder of business coaching credentials, including the CBC, the CMBC and the ChBC (Chartered Business Coach), plus a business coach locator that buyers can use to check credentials.
Best for: business coaches who want a credential that names the niche. Where it falls short: more of a standards body than an active community; we found no chapters or conferences on its site. Pick it over Coach Corner if a business-specific credential will help you win corporate or owner clients.
3. Vistage, as a Chair
Vistage describes itself as the world's largest CEO coaching and peer advisory organization. Business coaches meet it from the other side: Vistage Chairs are independent contractors who facilitate monthly full-day sessions with a group of CEOs from non-competing companies and meet each member privately every month for one-to-one coaching. Chairs complete what Vistage calls a rigorous coaching academy, and the site says there are only 1,300 of them worldwide.
Best for: experienced executives or business coaches who want to build a practice around facilitating peer groups. Where it falls short: a big commitment and a specific model, run under Vistage's brand. Pick it over Coach Corner if leading CEO peer groups is the practice you want.
4. SCORE
SCORE is a US nonprofit and a resource partner of the Small Business Administration, describing itself as the nation's largest network of volunteer business mentors, with more than 10,000 volunteers. Anyone with business experience can apply; local chapters interview applicants, and volunteers mentor, present workshops or act as subject experts, ideally 15 to 20 hours a month. Mentoring through SCORE is free for business owners, so treat it as service and as a way to stay close to what small businesses struggle with, not as a sales channel.
Best for: business coaches who want to give back and meet owners and other mentors. Where it falls short: you cannot use it to sell your coaching. Pick it over Coach Corner if you want a volunteer community of experienced business people.
5. ActionCOACH
ActionCOACH is a business coaching franchise that has operated since 1993. Franchisees get training, a dedicated franchise support team, an onboarding program it calls ActionCOACH University, and what the site describes as "access to a global community of coaches and strategic partners". It also runs group programs for business owners, such as quarterly planning workshops and group coaching.
Best for: coaches who want a proven system and a brand rather than building their own. Where it falls short: you run someone else's model, with franchise obligations. Pick it over Coach Corner if you would rather buy a business coaching business than build one.
6. Association for Coaching
The Association for Coaching, whose tagline is "Advancing coaching in business and society, worldwide", is an independent, not-for-profit body established in 2002 with members in over 80 countries. It offers accreditation, events at international, national and local level, and co-coaching forums where coaches practice together. See the Association for Coaching's site.
Best for: business coaches who want to sharpen the coaching itself, not just the consulting. Where it falls short: general rather than business-specific. Pick it over Coach Corner if coaching skill and accreditation are your gaps.
7. ICF chapters
The International Coaching Federation lists over 140 chapters in more than 90 countries and territories. Chapters run learning, networking and pro bono projects, and the ICF's Communities of Practice include Executive and Leadership and Team and Group, both relevant to business coaches. See the International Coaching Federation.
Best for: a local network of coaches and an internationally recognized credential. Where it falls short: owners rarely ask for ICF credentials. Pick it over Coach Corner if you sell into larger organizations that do.
8. A mastermind of business coaches
The highest-value room for many business coaches is the smallest: four to eight coaches at a similar stage who meet every two to four weeks, share real numbers, take turns in the hot seat and hold each other to quarterly targets. Our mastermind hot seat template gives you the format. Recruit from coaches you have seen give good answers in a community.
Best for: accountability on your own numbers. Where it falls short: it takes effort to keep going. Pick it over Coach Corner if you need depth with a few peers more than breadth with many.
9. LinkedIn groups
LinkedIn groups on small business, finance and leadership are rarely deep, but they are where owners, accountants and bankers comment in public. A business coach who answers questions there thoughtfully, without pitching, builds a reputation with exactly the people who refer clients.
Best for: visibility with owners and referral partners. Where it falls short: public and noisy. Pick it over Coach Corner if your goal this quarter is being seen.
Where your buyers gather (and why it is not the same room)
Peers help you run your practice; owners hire you. Most business coaching clients come from a few places: referral partners such as accountants, bookkeepers, bankers and business lawyers; owner peer groups such as the Entrepreneurs' Organization, whose Forums of six to ten members are led by a trained peer moderator under strict confidentiality; chambers of commerce and industry associations; and your own content. Spend time where owners are, but go as a contributor. A talk on cash flow at a chamber breakfast will do more than a pitch.

Many business coaches run a webinar or workshop as the bridge between those rooms and a paid program. Coachful includes live and automated webinars, and the white-glove team can build the funnel around one for you.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best community for business coaches?
For practical, daily help with your own coaching business, a private community of working coaches such as Coach Corner inside Coachful. For a business-specific credential, the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches. For facilitation experience with CEOs, becoming a Vistage Chair. Most business coaches also keep a small mastermind of peers.
Is there a professional association for business coaches?
Yes. The Worldwide Association of Business Coaches is a credentialing and accreditation body made for the niche, with a global community in more than 125 countries. General bodies such as the ICF and the Association for Coaching also serve business coaches.
How do business coaches find clients through communities?
Mostly through referral partners and owner networks rather than coaching communities. Build relationships with accountants, bookkeepers and bankers, contribute in owner groups and chambers, and use coaching communities to sharpen the offer those referrals land on.
Can business coaches become Vistage Chairs?
Vistage recruits Chairs who are accomplished leaders; they complete a coaching academy and work as independent contractors, facilitating monthly CEO peer group sessions and coaching each member one-to-one. Check Vistage's own requirements before applying.
Should a business coach run their own mastermind?
Often, yes. A paid mastermind for owners is a natural group offer for business coaches. Coachful includes the client community, cohort groups, live sessions and webinars to run one, and our hot seat template gives you a meeting format.
Will Coachful build my business coaching funnel for free?
Yes. The white-glove build is free on every Coachful plan. You describe the funnel (for example a webinar into a retainer, or an application for a mastermind), attach links and files, and the team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. The service is included at no extra cost; Coachful is a paid membership you can trial first.
