Best Funnel Builders for Personal Trainers: 10 Picks for 2026

Best Funnel Builders for Personal Trainers: 10 Picks for 2026

The best funnel builders for personal trainers do more than put up a landing page: they turn an Instagram follower or a gym-floor conversation into a booked consult, a paid package and a client who actually logs their workouts in week three. So the deciding question is not "which tool makes the prettiest page?" but "where does the client go after they pay?" If the answer is "into a different app, a spreadsheet and a WhatsApp thread", you are buying a funnel builder plus three other subscriptions.

Our pick is Coachful, because the funnel, the checkout, the consult calendar, the workout builder and the weekly check-in all live under one login, and the client lands in your branded app the moment they buy. We make Coachful, so weigh that bias. Below you will find nine other tools ranked by the situation each one wins, with prices as listed in October 2026, honest limits, and a line on when you should pick it instead of us.

What do personal trainers need from a funnel builder?

Personal trainers need a funnel that ends in a training relationship, not just an email address. That means four things working together: a lead capture that speaks to a specific body goal, a fast route to a consult or a paid start, a checkout that handles recurring monthly coaching, and a handover into programming the client can follow on their phone.

The typical trainer funnels look like this:

  • Lead magnet to consult. A free "4-week home dumbbell plan" or "fat-loss grocery list" collects an email, then a short sequence invites the reader to book a free consult.
  • Application funnel. For higher-ticket online or hybrid coaching, a short form screens for goal, training history, equipment and injuries before you get on a call.
  • Challenge funnel. A paid or free 21- or 28-day challenge with a group, daily tasks and a final upsell into monthly coaching. January and pre-summer are the usual peaks.
  • Direct checkout. A sales page for a fixed program (a 12-week strength block, a postnatal return-to-training plan) with a payment plan option.
  • Link-in-bio storefront. For trainers whose leads come almost entirely from Instagram or TikTok content.

Trainers also have scope issues most coaches do not. Your intake form should ask about injuries, medications, pregnancy and medical conditions, and you need a clear rule for when someone gets sent to a doctor before training starts. Personal training and coaching are not medical care. Chest pain on exertion, unexplained dizziness or fainting, uncontrolled blood pressure, recent surgery, pregnancy complications or joint pain that changes how someone moves are reasons to ask for medical clearance first. A readiness questionnaire such as the PAR-Q+ (published by the PAR-Q+ Collaboration) is a common reference; paraphrase it rather than copying it. None of the tools here, Coachful included, are meant to hold clinical records.

Marketing claims matter too. Before-and-after photos and "lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks" testimonials are the classic fitness funnel asset, and the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidance says that if you feature results most people will not get, you need to make clear what results are generally expected. Your follow-up emails also fall under the CAN-SPAM Act if you email US contacts: a working unsubscribe link, a valid postal address, and opt-outs honoured within 10 business days. Rules differ outside the US, so check local requirements.

If you want the broader software picture first, our guide to the best app for personal trainers covers training delivery, and the funnel builders for fitness coaches roundup covers online-only coaches more broadly.

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

How did we choose and rank these tools?

We ranked each tool on how much of a trainer's client journey it covers without another subscription, using what vendors document on their own sites and pricing pages. We did not run paid campaigns through these tools; prices and limits come from pricing pages as listed in October 2026.

Four questions decided the order:

  1. Does the client land somewhere useful after paying? A funnel that ends in a receipt email and a PDF scores lower than one that drops the client into a workout plan and check-in schedule.
  2. Can you deliver between sessions? Workouts, habits, nutrition targets and weekly check-ins are where online and hybrid trainers keep or lose clients.
  3. What is the total monthly bill? We priced each tool alongside whatever else a trainer would need to add to get to the same result.
  4. How long until it is live? Templates, setup help and the number of tools to connect all count.

Pure training apps (the ones built around exercise libraries and macros) are covered in our Trainerize alternatives guide. This list focuses on tools that can build the selling side.

1. Coachful: best overall for personal trainers

Coachful wins when you want one place for the whole journey: the funnel that catches the lead, the consult calendar, the checkout, and the training program the client follows afterwards. Instead of stitching a page builder to a booking tool to a training app, you build the funnel, the offer and the program in the same account.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client has one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, including solo trainers growing into a small team and anyone replacing four to six tools. It is not a clinical record system, it is not HIPAA-certified, and it does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura.

Funnels a trainer can build. Coachful has booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels, with about 25 funnel templates, Meta Pixel and GA4 support, and UTM tracking so you can see which reel or ad produced the lead. A link-in-bio page that sells is included, so your Instagram traffic does not need a separate storefront. The website builder adds a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates.

From lead to consult. Leads land in the Prospects list with their source and stage. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. You can add intake questions to the booking (goal, training history, equipment, injuries), and Coachful sends email reminders, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is turned on, so a consult booked from a reel on Monday still gets a nudge before Thursday's call.

Checkout that fits monthly coaching. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps (a nutrition add-on at checkout, for example), coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee on your sales; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. A coaching agreement with e-signature can go out before the first session and is stored on the client record. Coachful does not support PayPal.

Coachful offers page showing live coaching offer cards with cover photos
The demo Offers page with three live offers, including a 90-Day Transformation.

What happens after the sale. This is where Coachful separates from the funnel-first tools. The Fitness & Nutrition pack, included in your Coachful membership, adds a workout builder with an exercise library of illustrated exercises (supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals, tempo), client workout logging with set history and PRs, nutrition targets down to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins, and private form-check video with timestamped coach comments. You attach your own demo videos; there are no stock exercise videos. Multi-week programs add weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins and streaks, and each client record shows a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk so you know who to message before they ghost.

For challenge funnels, a cohort group is created automatically when people enrol in the program, with a community feed, group chat and video events. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits handle the follow-up. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, can draft the nurture emails and the program from your notes; questions and planning are included, while confirmed builds use AI credits.

Here is a walkthrough of building a funnel in Coachful:

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE" (or the "Want us to build it for you?" card on the Funnels page), describe the funnel you want, and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, gym photos and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. They can build a website, a lead-magnet or challenge funnel, a sales page, a program, an email sequence or a link-in-bio page. Nothing gets invented: no fake transformations, credentials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover recording your exercise videos, logo design or running ads. One recent build gave a business mentor a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails; a trainer would send the same kind of brief for a challenge page and a free-plan opt-in. More detail is in our white-glove service guide.

Price and limits. Plans are flat monthly, lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add coach seats with per-coach availability (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). There is a free trial and monthly plans cancel in one click. The limits to know: no permanent free plan, no PayPal, no Apple Health sync publicly available, the client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than your own App Store account, and there are no routing forms that pick a trainer from form answers. Coachful has a 4.5 rating on Trustpilot from 21 reviews.

2. Systeme.io: the cheapest way to start a list

If you are a new trainer with a few in-person clients and no budget, Systeme.io is the tool that lets you launch a lead magnet funnel this weekend for nothing. Its Free plan never expires and needs no credit card.

Systeme.io homepage promoting its all-in-one marketing platform with funnels, email and courses
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 blog, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign. Startup costs $17/month with 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 5 courses. Webinar is $47/month (10,000 contacts, 50 funnels, 20 courses), and Unlimited is $97/month with unlimited contacts, funnels, courses and automation rules. Systeme.io takes 0% transaction fees on every plan, including Free; you pay Stripe or PayPal processing. It holds a 4.9 Trustpilot rating from 8,696 reviews, as seen in October 2026.

For a trainer, the useful pieces are the funnel pages, the email sequences and the simple course area. You can build a "7-day kettlebell starter" opt-in, deliver it as a mini-course, and send a short sequence ending in a consult link. PayPal support matters if many of your buyers prefer it.

The gaps show up after the sale. Systeme.io has no native 1:1 scheduling tied to client records, so the consult link points to another booking tool. There are no workout builders, habit trackers or weekly check-ins, and older profile data shows no branded mobile app. Community and course features are basic. That means a Systeme.io funnel usually feeds a separate training app, and you end up keeping two client lists in sync. The Free plan's single automation rule also gets tight fast once you want a different sequence for consult bookers and non-bookers.

Pick it over Coachful if your budget is zero this month, you only need an opt-in page and an email list for now, and you already deliver programs in another app you are happy with.

3. ClickFunnels: for trainers spending on paid ads

When your growth plan is "run Meta ads to a sales page and scale what converts", ClickFunnels is built for that job. It is the most funnel-focused tool on this list, with sales pages, email, courses, communities, a store and appointments in one product.

ClickFunnels homepage introducing its sales funnel and page builder
ClickFunnels's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Launch costs $97/month ($81/month billed annually) with 10,000 contacts, 50,000 emails a month, 1 workspace, 2 team members, 5 domains, 3 courses, 3 communities and 1 store. Scale is $197/month ($164 annual) with 75,000 contacts and 5 team members, and Optimize is $297/month ($248 annual). A 14-day trial is listed and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee. ClickFunnels takes no commission on sales; processor fees apply. Its Trustpilot rating was 4.7 from 2,512 reviews in October 2026.

A trainer would use ClickFunnels for a paid challenge funnel: ad, opt-in page, low-ticket checkout, then an email offer for monthly coaching. The appointments app covers consult booking, and the course and community apps can hold challenge content. With 3 courses on Launch, a trainer selling separate beginner, intermediate and postnatal programs hits the cap quickly.

The weakness for trainers is delivery. ClickFunnels has no client habits, check-ins or structured 1:1 coaching programs, and nothing for workout logging or macros. Funnels are proprietary and, per older profile data, not portable if you leave. Most trainers who use it pair it with a dedicated training app, which puts the stack well above the cost of ClickFunnels alone. Our guide to building a coaching funnel covers the page sequence if you go this route.

Pick it over Coachful if you have an ad budget, want granular sales funnel tooling above all else, and already have a training app you refuse to change.

4. Stan Store: selling straight from your Instagram bio

Trainers who get nearly every lead from short-form video often need a storefront more than a funnel. Stan Store is a link-in-bio shop where followers can buy a program, book a paid call or grab a free guide without leaving their phone.

Stan Store homepage presenting its link-in-bio storefront for creators
Stan Store's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Creator costs $29/month ($25 annual) with unlimited products and customers in one store. Creator Pro costs $99/month ($79 annual). Email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates are only on Creator Pro. There is a 14-day free trial on either plan, and Stan takes 0% of sales; Stripe or PayPal processing applies. Stan Store's Trustpilot rating was 4.7 from 2,205 reviews.

The appeal for trainers is speed. You can list a "6-week glute program" PDF, a paid form-check call and a free mobility guide in an afternoon, and the store is designed for mobile buyers coming from a reel. Paid calls cover the consult step for trainers who charge for a first session.

The limits are significant for anyone coaching clients month to month. Stan has no contracts, no invoices and no client records, so it is not a CRM. There are no programs with client tasks, habits or check-ins, and no team seats are advertised. Once a buyer pays, delivery happens somewhere else, and if you want an email sequence to nurture free-guide downloaders you need Creator Pro. Coachful's link-in-bio page that sells does the storefront job and keeps the buyer inside your coaching app afterwards.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell mostly low-priced digital programs to followers, do little ongoing 1:1 coaching, and want the simplest possible mobile checkout.

5. Kajabi: built around course and challenge content

Kajabi suits the trainer whose business is mainly recorded content: a library of programs, a membership, maybe a challenge each quarter. It combines course hosting, community, website, funnels and email.

Kajabi homepage presenting its course, community and website platform
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Basic costs $179/month ($143 annual) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249/month ($199 annual) with 50 products and 25,000 contacts, and Pro is $499/month ($399 annual). The standard trial is 14 days. Fees depend on how you take payment: Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro, and using a different processor (other than PayPal) adds an extra Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro on top of the processor's own fee. Kajabi's Trustpilot rating was 3.4 from 2,347 reviews.

For a trainer, the strong use case is a challenge or program library funnel: a free workout series opt-in, an email sequence, and a checkout for a membership that holds your training phases. If you already film polished follow-along workouts, Kajabi presents them well.

The gaps for coaching are clear in the vendor's own feature set. There are no habit trackers or daily client check-ins, and coaching is handled as products and communities rather than per-client plans. You cannot set one client's macros differently from another's or review their logged sets. Basic's cap of 5 products is tight for a trainer selling separate beginner, strength, postnatal and nutrition offers, and it includes no AI credits. Our course platforms for personal trainers comparison goes deeper on this category.

Pick it over Coachful if your income comes mostly from self-paced video programs sold to large audiences, with little individual programming or check-in work.

6. Practice Better: for nutrition-heavy, practitioner-style work

Practice Better is a fit for the trainer who also works as a dietitian or nutrition practitioner and wants charting-style records next to booking and programs. Its pricing page describes it as all-in-one EHR software, and the feature list reflects that.

Practice Better homepage presenting its practice management software for health practitioners
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

From its pricing page, fetched in October 2026: a free Sprout plan supports 3 clients. Starter is $35/month billed monthly ($25 annually) for 10 clients, Professional is $69/month monthly ($59 annually) for 300 clients, Plus is $99/month monthly ($89 annually) with unlimited clients, and Team is $155/month monthly ($145 annually) with 2 practitioner licences and extra practitioners at $50 each. Paid plans have a 14-day trial; Team has 30 days. Add-ons include an AI charting assistant from $10/month per practitioner.

For trainers, the useful parts are scheduling, telehealth, a client portal and mobile app, journaling, group sessions, and programs and courses (fixed-date, evergreen and self-paced on higher plans). Account deposits and payment plans appear from Professional up, and Plus adds SMS reminders and broadcast messaging. It is a direct substitute for a coaching platform rather than a marketing tool.

The funnel side is thin. Its pricing page does not list a landing page or funnel builder, so lead capture, sales pages and nurture sequences usually live in another tool that sends people to Practice Better's booking link. Many of its features (charting, ePrescribe, insurance billing, fax) are aimed at clinical practitioners and add complexity a trainer does not need. Its exercise and workout tooling is not described on the pricing page either, so check its demo before assuming it replaces a training app.

Pick it over Coachful if you are a licensed nutrition or health practitioner who needs clinical-style charting, and you are happy to build your funnels in a separate tool.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

7. Paperbell: simple 1:1 packages with a built-in site

Paperbell suits a trainer who sells a few fixed online coaching packages and wants checkout, contract and booking in one flow, without learning a funnel builder at all.

Paperbell homepage presenting its coaching website, scheduling and payments tool
Paperbell's homepage in October 2026.

Paperbell lists one paid plan: $97/month, or $970/year (about $80.83/month), per coach with unlimited clients and sessions, as listed in October 2026. Our fetch of its pricing page on publication day was blocked, so these figures come from our mid-October check; confirm them before you sign up. Its help centre describes a 7-day trial, during which the public site stays offline. Paperbell charges no platform fee and supports Stripe and PayPal, with subscriptions, payment plans, coupons and setup fees.

The trainer workflow is straightforward: a client picks a package on your Paperbell site, pays, signs the contract and books their first session. Intake forms, Zoom links, SMS reminders and a client portal with shared notes cover the basics of 1:1 online coaching.

Paperbell does not offer funnels, so there is no lead magnet opt-in, upsell or multi-step email sequence beyond reminder and follow-up emails. There is no habit tracking, check-ins or goal tracking, no community, and no standalone mobile app. Each account supports one service provider, so adding a second trainer means a second account. For a trainer who wants to grow a list from content, Paperbell would need a separate email tool in front of it.

Pick it over Coachful if you want the simplest possible package checkout, need PayPal, and do not plan to run lead magnets or deliver workouts through the same tool.

8. GoHighLevel: for trainers running a marketing operation

GoHighLevel is the right call if you are part trainer, part marketer: you run lead generation for several gyms, or you manage multiple studio locations, each needing its own funnels, calendars and SMS follow-up.

GoHighLevel homepage presenting its marketing CRM for agencies and businesses
GoHighLevel's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Starter costs $97/month ($80.83 annual) with 3 sub-accounts and unlimited users and contacts. Unlimited is $297/month ($247.50 annual) with unlimited sub-accounts, and Agency Pro is $497/month ($414.17 annual). There is a 14-day trial with billing starting automatically at the end. SMS, email, phone numbers and AI are metered and billed on top of the plan, and HIPAA support is a $297/month add-on. Trustpilot showed 4.9 from 15,250 reviews.

Its strength for trainers is aggressive lead follow-up. A new lead can get a text, a calendar link for a trial session and reminders through workflows, all inside one CRM with funnels, websites, invoicing, contracts, courses and communities. That suits a studio selling intro offers to many leads at once.

The trade-off is setup time and delivery. GoHighLevel is agency-first and built around sub-accounts, so a solo trainer pays for structure they do not use. It has no habit tracking, client check-ins or coaching program engine; you would simulate them with workflows and forms. There are no built-in video rooms, only Zoom and Google Meet links. And metered SMS makes monthly costs harder to predict. Our CRM for personal trainers roundup covers it in more depth.

Pick it over Coachful if you manage marketing for several locations or clients, need agency sub-accounts, and run training delivery in another system.

9. Leadpages: landing pages for ad testing

Leadpages makes sense for a trainer who already has a client app and email tool and just needs fast, testable landing pages for paid campaigns.

Its pricing page, fetched in October 2026, displayed prices in euros for our region: Pro at €29/month (25 pages, 1 custom domain, 1 blog), Business at €49/month (50 pages, 2 domains), Grow at €115/month (unlimited pages, 4 domains, manual A/B testing) and Optimize at €229/month (6 domains, Smart Traffic routing and heatmaps). The page copy says plans start at $29/month and A/B testing starts at $99/month in US dollars. Annual billing saves 20%. The 7-day free trial requires a card and converts to a paid plan on day 7 unless cancelled. There are no traffic caps on any plan.

For trainers, the pattern is a separate landing page per ad angle ("busy parents", "first pull-up", "post-baby strength") with leads pushed to your email tool via integrations such as Mailchimp, Stripe and Zapier. If you run enough ad traffic to make A/B testing meaningful, Grow is the plan that adds it.

Leadpages is a page builder, not a coaching system. It has no booking, no client records, no program delivery and no built-in email sequences, so every lead leaves Leadpages immediately. For a trainer without existing tools, that means buying three or four more subscriptions. A/B testing also needs real traffic to produce a reliable answer; at a few hundred visitors a month, differences between pages are usually noise. Our landing page builders for coaches comparison lists more options in this category.

Pick it over Coachful if you only need ad landing pages with split testing and your booking, email and client delivery already live in tools you are keeping.

10. Kartra: marketing suite with built-in calendars

Kartra fits the trainer who wants pages, email, SMS, memberships and a helpdesk in one marketing suite and is selling enough to justify the higher tiers.

Kartra homepage presenting its all-in-one marketing suite with pages, email and memberships
Kartra's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Essentials costs $59/month ($52 annual) with 500 contacts, 5 pages, 1 product, 1 membership and 10,000 emails a month, and it carries a 5% transaction fee. Starter is $119/month ($99 annual) with 2,500 contacts, unlimited pages, products and memberships, unlimited email and SMS, and 0% transaction fees. Growth is $229/month ($189 annual) with 12,500 contacts, and Professional is $549/month ($429 annual). Each plan has a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Kartra's Trustpilot rating was 3.2 from 129 reviews.

A trainer could run the full marketing side here: an opt-in page for a free training plan, an email and SMS sequence, a calendar for consults, and a membership area for program content. Built-in calendars and helpdesk make it more complete than a pure page builder.

The entry plan is the problem for trainers starting out. Essentials allows only 500 contacts, 5 pages and 1 product and takes 5% of every sale, so a trainer making real sales is pushed to Starter quickly. Kartra has no client habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans, and per older profile data no mobile app for students, with funnels and memberships that are not portable to other platforms. Like the other marketing suites, it needs a separate training app for delivery.

Pick it over Coachful if you want an established marketing suite with helpdesk and SMS in one bill, and you deliver training elsewhere.

How do the ten compare feature by feature?

Coachful is the only tool here that covers both the funnel and between-session training delivery. The marketing suites lead on funnel tooling but stop at the sale; the practice tools handle clients but not lead generation.

What does each stack cost per month?

A funnel builder alone rarely covers a trainer's business, so the fair comparison is the full stack. Below are three example trainers and the monthly subscription cost of covering the same jobs (funnel, booking, payments, program delivery and check-ins) with each setup. These are monthly-billing prices as listed in October 2026, before payment processing fees.

  • Stack 1: the new online trainer. Up to 5 online clients, leads from Instagram, one free guide and a consult call.
  • Stack 2: the hybrid trainer. About 15 clients mixing gym sessions and online programming, a lead magnet funnel and a quarterly challenge.
  • Stack 3: the established online trainer. Around 40 clients, an application funnel for premium coaching, and a nurture sequence running all year.
SetupStack 1 (5 clients)Stack 2 (15 clients)Stack 3 (40 clients)
Coachful (everything in one)Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clientsSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsPro: $99/month with unlimited clients
Systeme.io + Practice Better$0 + $35 = $35$17 + $69 = $86$17 + $99 = $116
Stan Store Creator Pro + Paperbell$99 + $97 = $196$99 + $97 = $196$99 + $97 = $196
ClickFunnels Launch + Paperbell$97 + $97 = $194$97 + $97 = $194$97 + $97 = $194
Kajabi + Practice Better$179 + $35 = $214$179 + $69 = $248$249 + $99 = $348

Two caveats keep the comparison honest. First, none of the non-Coachful pairs in this table include workout logging or macro targets; Practice Better and Paperbell handle clients and booking, but you would still check whether they cover training delivery or add a training app on top. Second, the cheapest pair (Systeme.io plus Practice Better) means two logins, two client lists, and a booking link that sends funnel leads into a second system. For more on payment costs, see our payment platforms for personal trainers guide.

For the trainer in Stack 3 who later hires an assistant coach, Coachful's team plans add seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions. Paperbell would need a second account, and Practice Better's Team plan adds practitioners at $50 each.

How would a personal trainer set this up in Coachful?

Here is how a hybrid trainer could go from no funnel to a working lead-to-client path in Coachful. The lead magnet is a "4-week home strength plan" given away in exchange for an email. The offer names and steps are an example; swap in your own.

  1. Build the site from a template. Pick a performance homepage template such as Kinetic, add your About, Results and Contact pages, and connect your custom domain. Or ask the white-glove team to build it from your existing Instagram copy and gym photos.
  2. Create the offer. Set up "Online Strength Coaching" as a monthly subscription through your Stripe account, with an optional nutrition add-on as an order bump. Work out your price from your hours per client per week and your target income; do not copy someone else's number.
  3. Build the program clients land in. In the workout builder, create a 12-week block with weekly phases, attach your own demo videos, set calorie and macro targets, and add a weekly check-in with progress photos and measurements.
  4. Start a lead-magnet funnel. Choose a lead-magnet funnel template, upload the 4-week plan, and add your Meta Pixel and UTM tags so you can see which posts drive opt-ins.
  5. Write the follow-up sequence. Five emails over ten days: deliver the plan, a form tip, a client story with typical results stated, an answer to "can I train at home?", and an invitation to book a consult. Ask Michelle to draft them from your notes, then edit in your voice.
  6. Set up the consult booking page. Add availability, buffers and intake questions about goals, equipment, injuries and medical conditions, and turn on SMS and WhatsApp reminders.
  7. Send the agreement. When a consult converts, the client pays, signs the coaching agreement and lands in the program inside your branded app.
  8. Watch the client list. Use the thriving, active, quiet and at-risk statuses to message anyone who stops logging before they cancel.

Which funnel mistakes cost personal trainers clients?

Most trainer funnels fail after the opt-in, not before it. These are the mistakes that show up most often:

  • A lead magnet with no next step. A free plan PDF that ends with "follow me for more" leaves the reader nowhere to go. End every freebie with one clear consult or challenge link.
  • Generic goals. "Get fit" attracts nobody. "Strength for runners over 40" or "home training for new parents" gives the page and the emails something to say.
  • Skipping health screening. Ask about injuries, medications, pregnancy and medical conditions before the first session, and require medical clearance when red flags appear.
  • Unqualified transformation claims. Before-and-after photos need context about typical results, and every testimonial must be real and used with permission.
  • Consult no-shows with no reminders. A call booked days in advance is easy to forget. Send a reminder the day before and an hour before.
  • A gap between payment and first workout. If a client pays on Sunday and gets their program on Wednesday, the buying energy fades. Deliver the program, check-in schedule and welcome message on the same day.
  • Too many tools. Every handoff between a page builder, a booking tool, a payment link and a training app is a place a lead can drop out or a client can get two contradicting emails.

For email-specific pitfalls, see our email marketing platforms for personal trainers guide.

Which funnel builder should a personal trainer choose?

Choose Coachful if you coach clients month to month and want the funnel, checkout, programming and check-ins in one place with one bill. It is the only tool on this list where the lead magnet, the consult, the 12-week program, the macro targets and the weekly check-in all sit under one login, and the free white-glove build removes most of the setup work.

The others win narrower cases. Systeme.io is the zero-cost way to start a list. ClickFunnels and Leadpages suit trainers putting real money into ads. Stan Store is the quickest Instagram storefront for digital programs. Kajabi fits content-library businesses, Practice Better fits practitioners who need charting, Paperbell fits simple package sellers, and GoHighLevel and Kartra suit trainers running marketing at a larger scale. Each of them, apart from Coachful, leaves training delivery to another app.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best funnel builder for personal trainers?

For most personal trainers who coach clients over months, Coachful is the strongest pick because the funnel, booking, checkout, workout builder and check-ins share one login. If you only need an opt-in page and email list on no budget, Systeme.io's Free plan is the cheapest start. For paid ads at volume, ClickFunnels is the most funnel-focused option.

Do personal trainers really need a sales funnel?

If you want online or hybrid clients beyond referrals, yes. A funnel is simply the path from a stranger seeing your content to booking a consult and paying. Even a single opt-in page, five emails and a booking link counts, and it works while you are on the gym floor.

What lead magnet works best for a personal trainer?

Something specific that gives a quick win for one type of client, such as a 4-week home dumbbell plan for busy parents or a mobility routine for desk workers. It should lead naturally into your paid coaching. Avoid generic eBooks that could come from any trainer.

Is Coachful's white-glove funnel build really free?

Yes. The white-glove build service is free on every Coachful plan. You describe the funnel, site, program or email sequence you want, attach links and files, and the team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include filming your videos, logo design or running ads.

Can I deliver workouts and nutrition plans from my funnel builder?

Only Coachful does that in this list, through its Fitness & Nutrition pack: a workout builder with illustrated exercises, workout logging with PRs, calorie and macro targets, meal plans and weekly check-ins. You attach your own demo videos. The other tools sell the program, then the client needs a separate training app.

Can I take PayPal payments?

Coachful works with Stripe Connect and Razorpay, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, but not PayPal. Systeme.io, Stan Store and Paperbell list PayPal support. If many of your buyers insist on PayPal, factor that in.

Does any of these tools sync with Garmin, Fitbit or Apple Health?

Coachful does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. Clients log workouts, check-ins and measurements directly in the app. If wearable data is central to your coaching, check the training app you pair with your funnel tool.

Can I store medical information from client intake forms?

Ask only what you need to train someone safely, and send anyone with red flags to a doctor for clearance. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and is not for clinical record-keeping, so clinical notes belong in a clinical system. Practice Better is the closest to a practitioner records tool on this list.

How long does it take to set up a personal trainer funnel?

With templates, a simple opt-in page and email sequence can go live in an afternoon in most of these tools. A full path with a site, consult booking, checkout and a delivery program takes longer. In Coachful you can hand the brief to the white-glove team instead of building it yourself.

Can I use Coachful alongside my existing booking or training app?

You can, and Coachful connects to Zapier, Google Calendar, Outlook, Zoom and Stripe. Most trainers find it simpler to move everything in, and clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Compare the options on our comparison page.
