Best Platform for Chronic Illness Coaches: 10 Picks for 2026

Best Platform for Chronic Illness Coaches: 10 Picks for 2026

The best platform for chronic illness coaches is the one that lets a client with limited energy buy your program, sign your agreement, join your group and do the work between calls without juggling five logins on a bad day. That is the deciding question here: how much of selling and delivery runs in one place, how easy the experience is for a client who may be dealing with fatigue or brain fog, and what the whole stack costs once you add up every tool.

Our pick is Coachful. It puts checkout, coaching agreements, booking, multi-week programs with habits and daily check-ins, courses, a community and your website behind one login for you and one branded app for your client. We make Coachful, so weigh that, but the ranking below follows criteria we state up front, and every other platform is described from what its vendor documents and what public reviewers report. No platform here was scored on hands-on testing.

A note on scope before the list. A chronic condition is usually described as a health condition whose effects persist, often for more than three months (Wikipedia's overview of chronic conditions lists diabetes, arthritis, asthma and autoimmune diseases among common examples). Coaching supports your client's goals, routines and quality of life alongside their care. It is not diagnosis or treatment, and the platform you choose should make that line easy to keep. If you need a method for the coaching itself, start with our chronic illness life coaching framework.

What do chronic illness coaches sell online?

Most chronic illness coaches sell a mix of guided programs, small groups and self-paced material, because clients need structure that bends around flare days. A platform has to handle all three without forcing the client to start over in a new tool each time.

Typical offers in this niche include:

  • A multi-week 1:1 program with a weekly call, short daily tasks, habit tracking and a morning energy check-in.
  • A small-group cohort (for example, eight weeks on pacing, sleep routines or returning to work) with live calls, recordings and a private group space.
  • A self-paced course on topics such as energy budgeting, preparing for medical appointments or communicating needs at work, released in small lessons.
  • A low-cost membership with a peer community, monthly Q&A calls and a library of downloads.
  • A free lead magnet, such as a symptom-and-energy journal template or a short email series, that feeds a discovery call.

Delivery matters more than usual in this niche. Many clients cannot reliably attend long live sessions, so the work between calls (small tasks, habits, quick check-ins, recordings) carries a lot of the result. Platforms built only for video courses or only for community tend to cover one of these offers well and leave you stitching on the rest. For the tracking side of care coordination, our separate piece on when a health coach needs a second app for chronic-condition clients covers that gap, and our best app for chronic illness coaches roundup looks at the client-facing app experience.

Which platforms are best for chronic illness coaches at a glance?

Ranked on: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort (including whether someone will build it for you).

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

How did we choose and rank these platforms?

We ranked platforms on how much of a chronic illness coaching business they can sell and deliver in one place, weighted toward what clients with limited energy actually experience. Four criteria carried the most weight:

  1. One login for the whole client journey. Can a client pay, sign, book, do their daily work, join the group and watch lessons in one place? Every extra login is friction for someone having a low-energy day.
  2. Between-session delivery. Does the platform support small daily tasks, habits and check-ins, or only videos and posts? For this niche, the work between calls is the program.
  3. Total stack cost. We counted the platform plus the tools you would need to add (booking, contracts, email, a website) and any platform fee on each sale.
  4. Setup effort. How long until a working offer is live, and will anyone build it with you?

We also looked at the client's learning experience (mobile access, drip release, recordings), community options, and honesty about limits such as HIPAA. Vendor facts come from each vendor's own pages as listed in October 2026, or from our September 2026 vendor profiles where noted. Substitutes built for 1:1 practice management sit mid-table because they cover delivery well but leave selling to other tools.

1. Coachful: the most complete place to sell and deliver chronic illness coaching

A laptop showing a client goal with linked daily tasks and a tablet showing habit trackers on a bed tray
Coachful's client goal view with daily momentum tasks on a laptop, beside the habit tracker on a tablet (demo data).

Coachful is the only platform on this list that runs the full client journey, from checkout to daily habits to the group space, behind one login with a branded client app. It is a coaching platform built for coaches who deliver programs rather than single sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six separate tools.

For a chronic illness practice, the strongest part is between-session delivery. Multi-week programs carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. That means you can build a program where the daily ask is small (a rest break, a hydration habit, a two-line evening reflection) and you can see who is engaging without waiting for the next call. The client record pulls goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions together, and marks each client as thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so a client who has gone quiet during a flare is visible early.

Selling sits in the same account. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Payment plans matter in this niche, where many clients are managing reduced working hours. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record, which is the right place for your scope statement (see coaching contracts).

Group work is built in too. When a client enrolls in a program, a cohort group is created automatically, alongside the community feed, group chat, direct messages, video events, group calls and webinars. Courses support modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, so a self-paced pacing course can release one short lesson at a time. Everything lands in the client's branded home and app. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync and built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Clients get email reminders, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled, which helps clients for whom memory or brain fog is part of daily life.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built:

The marketing side covers a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates; booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking; and email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it can draft a program, write emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before a call. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. You can also set up an AI Coach, an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions. In a health niche, configure it carefully so it stays within coaching and points clients back to their care team for medical questions.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, the "We'll build it for you" option lets you describe what you want, such as a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline, an email sequence or an intake form, and attach up to 8 reference links and 10 files. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent build was for a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing, who got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. Recording videos, logo design and ad management are not included. Read more about the free white-glove service.

What Coachful does not do. Be clear on these before you commit, because several matter for chronic illness work:

  • It is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Keep health detail to what your coaching needs.
  • No Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly, so wearable data has to come from the client.
  • No PayPal, and no permanent no-cost tier.
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.

Price and how to start. Plans are flat monthly; lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, team plans add coach seats, and monthly plans cancel in one click (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Start with a free trial, then request the white-glove build so your first offer is set up for you. If you serve health clients broadly, our page for health coaches shows how the pieces fit together.

2. Kajabi: a strong course and funnel business, without the daily coaching layer

Kajabi homepage as it appeared in October 2026, captured on desktop
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi suits a chronic illness coach whose business is mostly courses, a community and email marketing to a growing list. It bundles a course platform, community, website, funnels and email in one product built for selling knowledge products.

Pricing as listed in October 2026: Basic is $179 a month ($143 a month billed annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249 a month ($199 annually) with 50 products, 25,000 contacts and 500 AI credits, and Pro is $499 a month ($399 annually). The standard trial is 14 days; a card is optional, and if you enter one, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges on the day the trial ends. Some features, such as bulk contact import and test emails, stay locked until you activate a paid plan.

On fees, Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Using a processor other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro on top of the provider's fees.

The gap for this niche is per-client delivery. Kajabi has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and coaching is organized as products and communities rather than individual client plans. If your offer depends on watching each client's energy and adjusting week by week, you will be doing that outside Kajabi. The 5-product cap on Basic also fills up quickly once you have a course, a cohort, a membership and a couple of lead magnets.

Pick it over Coachful if your income comes mainly from courses and a large email list, you rarely run 1:1 programs, and you expect to need the higher contact and product allowances of its Growth or Pro tiers.

3. Mighty Networks: where peer support is the product

Mighty Networks homepage as it appeared in October 2026, captured on desktop
Mighty Networks's homepage in October 2026.

Mighty Networks makes sense when the community itself is what clients pay for. Many people living with a chronic condition value peers who understand, and Mighty combines community spaces, courses and live events, with members using Mighty-branded apps.

As listed in October 2026, Launch costs $95 a month ($79 annually) with 3 hosts, 10 moderators, 200 GB of storage and 20 hours a month of livestreaming for up to 100 attendees. Scale is $215 a month ($179 annually) with 30 livestream hours and 200 attendees. Growth is listed at $354 a month on annual billing, and Mighty Pro, which adds your own branded apps, is custom-priced. The 14-day trial needs no credit card and includes Growth features.

Mighty takes a platform fee on sales: 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing. On a community priced as a low monthly membership, that fee is modest; on a premium cohort, it adds up.

What is missing is the individual side. Mighty Networks documents no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. A coach running a membership plus private clients would pair it with a booking tool, an agreement tool and something for daily tracking. Moderation also takes real time in a health community, so budget for it.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is a large peer-support membership, you plan to have many moderators, and private 1:1 coaching is a small part of what you sell.

For a broader comparison of community tools, see our guide to group coaching community platforms.

4. Podia: the gentlest setup for a small catalogue

Podia homepage as it appeared in October 2026, captured on desktop
Podia's homepage in October 2026.

Podia is a simple storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and a community, and its plainness is the appeal. A coach who wants a self-paced pacing course and a few downloads live in an afternoon will find it approachable.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Mover is $49 a month ($42 annually) with 50 products and 100 email subscribers included, and charges a 5% Podia transaction fee. Shaker is $99 a month ($84 annually) with 150 products, 500 email subscribers, 1 assistant and no transaction fee. Earthquaker is $179 a month ($150 annually) with unlimited products and 1,000 email subscribers. Stripe or PayPal processing (2.9% + 30¢ standard) applies on top. The 14-day trial gives full access and needs no credit card.

The constraints show up as you grow. The included email allowances are small: 100, 500 and 1,000 subscribers. According to our September 2026 profile, Podia has no mobile app and no native video calls, so live sessions run on another tool. There are no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans, which leaves the between-session support that chronic illness clients often need to email or a separate app.

Pick it over Coachful if you mainly sell a handful of courses and downloads, you want the shortest possible learning curve, and you do not need daily client tracking.

5. Practice Better: practice management for credentialed practitioners

Practice Better homepage as it appeared in October 2026, captured on desktop
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Practice Better comes from the other direction: practice management for wellness and nutrition practitioners, with scheduling, telehealth, charting, billing, programs and a client portal. If you hold a clinical or nutrition credential and your chronic illness work involves charting, it is a closer fit than any course platform.

As listed in October 2026, the Sprout plan is $0 for 3 clients and 1 practitioner. Starter is $35 a month ($25 annually) for 10 clients, Professional is $69 a month ($59 annually) for 300 clients, Plus is $99 a month ($89 annually) for unlimited clients and 3 admins, and Team is $155 a month ($145 annually) for 2 practitioners, with more at $50 each. Trials run 30 days on Team and 14 days on other paid plans. Payments run on Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe; rates are not listed on the pricing page.

Two details matter for selling programs online. Evergreen programs, portal branding, a custom URL and SMS start on Plus, so the realistic plan for a coach selling programs is the $99 tier, not Starter. And according to our September 2026 profile, there is no website builder or funnel pages, so marketing and sales pages live elsewhere. Below Team, each account has one practitioner.

Pick it over Coachful if you are a credentialed practitioner who needs charting and telehealth in a practice-management tool, and you are happy to run your website and funnels on another service.

6. Thinkific: a serious course platform with scheduling left out

Thinkific homepage as it appeared in October 2026, captured on desktop
Thinkific's homepage in October 2026.

Thinkific is a course platform with communities, memberships, and coaching and webinar products, built to handle large student numbers. It fits a coach whose main offer is a structured self-paced curriculum.

Prices rose about 10% on August 13, 2026. As listed in October 2026, Start is $109 a month ($82 annually) with 10,000 current students, 2 admins, 1 community with 10 spaces, 5 live community events and a maximum group size of 50. Grow is $219 a month ($164 annually) and Expand is $499 a month ($374 annually); Plus is custom. Every self-serve plan has a 30-day free trial. There is no Thinkific transaction fee when you use Thinkific Payments, which the company describes as in line with other processors at 2.9%; third-party Stripe or PayPal gateways carry an extra per-plan gateway fee that is not listed on the page.

For chronic illness coaching, the gaps are 1:1 delivery and mobile access. According to our September 2026 profile, Thinkific has no built-in 1:1 scheduling and coaching relies on external booking links. There are no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. A branded mobile app is a $199-a-month add-on, which matters if your clients prefer short lessons on a phone from bed or the sofa.

Public reviewers have been critical lately: Thinkific held a 1.8 Trustpilot score from 868 reviews when we checked.

Pick it over Coachful if you are building a large course catalogue for thousands of students, need multiple admins and communities, and do little private coaching.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

7. Teachable: low entry price for courses, with fees to watch

Teachable homepage as it appeared in October 2026, captured on desktop
Teachable's homepage in October 2026.

Teachable is a course and digital-product platform with student mobile apps, which is useful for clients who learn in short bursts on their phones. It has one of the lowest entry prices on this list, though the cheapest plan carries a high transaction fee.

As listed in October 2026, Starter costs $39 a month ($29 annually) with 5 products and 1 admin, and takes a 7.5% platform fee. Builder is $89 a month ($69 annually) with 10 products and no platform fee, and Growth is $189 a month ($139 annually) with 50 products and 5 admins. The plan cards show a 7-day free trial plus a 30-day guarantee. Teachable Payments processing for US cards is 2.9% + 30¢ (international 3.9% + 30¢), with a $15 chargeback fee.

The 7.5% Starter fee is worth doing the arithmetic on. On a program priced at, say, $600 (an example figure), that is $45 per sale before processing, so Builder usually pays for itself after a couple of sales a month.

The delivery gap is familiar. According to our September 2026 profile, Teachable has no native scheduling or calendar sync, so coaching calls rely on external booking and video tools. There are no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. For a pacing course sold to many people, that is fine; for a 1:1 program where you adjust the plan after a flare, it is not enough.

Pick it over Coachful if you are selling self-paced courses and digital products at volume, want student mobile apps, and keep 1:1 work to a minimum.

Our online course platform comparison goes deeper on course-only tools.

8. Systeme.io: the budget marketing suite

Systeme.io homepage as it appeared in October 2026, captured on desktop
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

Systeme.io is a low-cost all-in-one marketing suite with funnels, email, courses, a community, a blog and an affiliate program. For a coach testing the market with almost no budget, the free plan is hard to beat on price.

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan costs $0 with 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, 500 students, 1 blog, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign, and it never expires with no card required. Startup is $17 a month with 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 5 courses; Webinar is $47 a month; Unlimited is $97 a month with unlimited contacts, funnels, courses and automation rules. There are 0% transaction fees on every plan, so you pay only Stripe or PayPal processing. Public reviewers rate it highly, with 4.9 on Trustpilot from 8,696 reviews when we checked.

The trade-off is depth on the coaching side. According to our September 2026 profile, Systeme.io has no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, its community and course features are basic, and there is no branded mobile app. A chronic illness coach would use it to collect leads and sell a starter course, then deliver coaching somewhere else.

Pick it over Coachful if your budget is close to zero, you mainly need funnels and email right now, and you accept moving to a fuller platform once 1:1 or group delivery grows.

9. Skool: community, classroom and calendar in one group

Skool homepage as it appeared in October 2026, captured on desktop
Skool's homepage in October 2026.

Skool combines a community, a classroom and a calendar in one group, with gamified leaderboards. It works for a membership where engagement and peer momentum matter, though gamification needs care in a niche where effort varies with symptoms.

As listed in October 2026, Hobby is $9 a month ($7.50 annually) and Pro is $99 a month ($82.50 annually), both with unlimited members, courses, videos and live calls. Payments run only through Skool Payments: Hobby charges 10% + 30¢ on every transaction, while Pro charges 2.9% + 30¢ up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900. Fees are non-refundable, and payouts arrive weekly on Wednesdays. The pricing page offers a free try, but the trial length and card requirement were not stated when we checked.

The limits are clear. Skool has no custom-domain website, funnels, email automation or public API, and no 1:1 client records, intake forms, habits or check-ins. A leaderboard that rewards daily posting can also feel discouraging for a member who has just had a bad week, so think about how you frame it.

Pick it over Coachful if all you sell is a single community-plus-classroom membership and you want the simplest group experience, with no website or email marketing under the same roof.

10. Stan Store: a link-in-bio shop for a few offers

Stan Store homepage as it appeared in October 2026, captured on desktop
Stan Store's homepage in October 2026.

Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for selling digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls. It fits a coach who markets mostly on social media and wants to sell a guide, a mini-course and a discovery call from one link.

As listed in October 2026, Creator is $29 a month ($25 annually) with unlimited products and customers and one store, and Creator Pro is $99 a month ($79 annually). Stan takes no fee on sales; standard Stripe or PayPal processing applies. Both plans have a 14-day free trial, and the first month is charged when the trial ends. Email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates are only on Creator Pro.

It is a storefront, not a delivery platform. Stan has no contracts, invoices or client records, no programs with client tasks, habits or check-ins, and no advertised team seats. For a chronic illness coach, that means the actual coaching, the agreement and any group space all live elsewhere.

Pick it over Coachful if you only need to sell a few products from social media today and do not yet run programs, groups or 1:1 clients.

Which features does each platform include for selling and delivery?

Coachful is the only platform here that covers per-client programs with habits and check-ins, 1:1 booking, contracts, courses, community, a website and email together. The matrix below uses what each vendor documents; "Not listed" means we did not find it in the vendor facts we hold, not that it definitely does not exist.

Two patterns stand out. Course and community platforms cover the group side well but skip the per-client daily layer that chronic illness coaching leans on. Practice Better covers that daily layer for practitioners but skips the selling side. If you want both, you either combine tools or use a platform that holds both.

What does each platform cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Coachful's flat plans cover selling and delivery in one subscription, while most alternatives need extra tools for booking, contracts or daily tracking, which this table does not price. Figures for other vendors are monthly list prices as listed in October 2026, before payment processing.

We chose the plan a coach would realistically need for a sold program rather than the cheapest tier where the cheaper tier adds a large transaction fee (Podia Mover, Teachable Starter, Skool Hobby). Most course platforms price by products, contacts or students rather than coaching clients, so their price barely moves between 5 and 40 clients. What moves is the cost and effort of the tools you bolt on. Add those up before you compare.

How would you build a chronic illness offer end to end in Coachful?

Here is an illustrative example: an eight-week small-group program on pacing and energy, with a weekly group call, short daily tasks and a peer space. The name, length and structure are examples; adapt them to your training and your clients.

A laptop showing coaching offer cards and a monitor showing an invoice table on a calm home-office desk
Coachful's Offers page on the laptop and the Payments invoice table on the monitor (demo data).
  1. Set the price from your numbers. Work out your hours per cohort (calls, prep, messaging, check-in review), the hourly rate you need, and how many places you can support well. Divide, then offer a payment plan so the cost is spread out. Coachful supports one-time payments, subscriptions and payment plans through your own Stripe or Razorpay account.
  2. Build the sales path. Create a checkout funnel or an application funnel if you want to screen for fit. Add a lead magnet, such as an energy-journal template, that feeds an email sequence ending in an invitation to apply. If you would rather not build it yourself, request it through the free white-glove service.
  3. Send the agreement before the first call. Your coaching agreement goes out for e-signature and is stored on the client record. Include a plain scope statement: coaching does not replace medical care, you do not diagnose or advise on medication, and the client keeps their care team informed.
  4. Collect only the intake you need. Use intake questions on booking to ask about goals, energy patterns and preferred session times. Because Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, avoid collecting medical records or detailed clinical histories.
  5. Build the program. Set weekly goals, then keep daily tasks small. Add habits such as a planned rest break and a morning check-in so clients can log how they are doing in under a minute. 6. Open the group. On enrollment, Coachful creates the cohort group automatically. Schedule the weekly group call as a video event, and post recordings so anyone who misses a call during a flare can catch up.
  7. Add a short course. Release one short lesson a week with drip, so nobody faces a wall of content on a low-energy day.
  8. Watch the client list. The status labels (thriving, active, quiet, at risk) show who has gone quiet. A short, kind message often keeps someone in the program through a hard week.

What mistakes do chronic illness coaches make when choosing a platform?

The most expensive mistake is choosing a platform for the offer you sell today and ignoring how clients will actually do the work. Watch for these as well:

  • Collecting clinical data in a coaching tool. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, and you should not assume any course or community platform is unless it says so and signs a BAA (background on HIPAA). If you are a covered provider or need clinical charting, use a tool built for that, and check with an attorney about your obligations.
  • Designing for full-energy clients. Hour-long live calls and long video modules exclude people on bad days. Favour short lessons, recordings and quick daily check-ins.
  • Stacking too many logins. A course platform, a booking tool, a contract tool, a habit app and a chat group means five passwords for someone who may have brain fog. Count logins as part of the cost.
  • Ignoring per-sale fees. A 5% to 10% platform fee looks small next to a low monthly price until you sell a few premium programs. Run the numbers at the volume you expect.
  • Leaving scope out of the agreement. Put the coaching-versus-treatment line in writing and say when you will refer a client back to their clinician, for example after new or worsening symptoms, medication questions or signs of a mental health crisis.
  • Not planning an exit. Check that you can export client data. Our guides on protecting coaching data from platform shutdowns and on planning for an outage cover what to keep.

Which platform should a chronic illness coach choose?

For most chronic illness coaches who sell programs, groups and courses, Coachful is the best choice, because it holds checkout, agreements, booking, daily habits and check-ins, courses, community and the website in one login and one branded client app. The 0% platform fee and the free white-glove build lower both the running cost and the setup effort.

Choose another platform when your business is narrower. Kajabi suits a course-and-email business at scale. Mighty Networks suits a large peer-support membership. Podia suits a small, simple catalogue. Practice Better suits credentialed practitioners who need charting and telehealth. The rest serve course volume, very tight budgets, a single community or a link-in-bio shop. Frequently asked questions

What is the best platform for chronic illness coaches?

For selling and delivering programs, groups and courses in one place, Coachful ranks first in our list. It combines checkout, agreements, booking, multi-week programs with habits and check-ins, courses and a community behind one login and a branded client app. Course-first or community-first tools fit narrower businesses.

Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Keep health information to what your coaching needs, and use a clinical system if you are a covered provider.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a build service included on every plan. You describe what you need, such as a website, funnel, program, course outline or email sequence, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.

Where should my scope of practice show up on the platform?

Put it in your coaching agreement, on your sales page and in your welcome flow. State that coaching does not diagnose or treat, that clients should keep their care team involved, and when you will refer them back, for example after new symptoms or medication questions.

Can clients sync wearables or Apple Health to Coachful?

Not currently. Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. Clients can log habits and check-ins themselves, which many coaches find more useful for energy and symptom patterns anyway.

Do I need a course platform and a coaching platform?

Not if your coaching platform includes courses. Coachful delivers courses with modules, drip release and completion tracking in the same app as programs and community. Pure course platforms such as Thinkific or Teachable leave booking and daily tracking to other tools.

Which platform is cheapest for a new chronic illness coach?

Systeme.io and Practice Better both list a $0 plan as of October 2026, but each covers only part of the job. Compare the total stack, including booking, contracts and daily tracking, and the per-sale fees, rather than the headline price.

Is a community platform enough for a chronic illness membership?

It can be if you only sell peer support and group calls. Once you add private clients, you need booking, agreements and per-client tracking, which community platforms such as Mighty Networks and Skool do not document.

Can I move my clients and content into Coachful?

Yes. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the Import website option helps bring over an existing site. You can also export your full client data as a ZIP later.
