Top 12 Kajabi Alternatives for Mindset Coaches in 2026

The best kajabi alternatives for mindset coaches are the tools that keep a client practising between sessions, not just watching videos. Mindset work changes through repetition: a morning intention, an evening reflection, a reframe written down the moment the old story shows up. Kajabi is built to sell courses, communities and email funnels, and it does that well, but its published plans include no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and its Basic plan starts at $179 a month as listed in October 2026. So the real question is simple: where will your clients do the daily work, and how many separate tools will you pay for to see it?
Our pick is Coachful, because it puts booking, agreements, payments, multi-week programs with habits and morning and evening check-ins, courses, community and your website behind one login, with one branded app for clients. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and use the five-question checklist below to test whether a course platform, a community tool or a funnel builder fits your practice better. Eleven other options follow, each with its listed price, its limits and a plain "pick it over Coachful if" line.
What do mindset coaches actually need from a Kajabi alternative?
Mindset coaches need a place where clients practise new thinking daily, plus the usual business back office. Course hosting matters less than most platform comparisons suggest. The work that moves a client from "I'm not the kind of person who..." to acting differently happens on a Tuesday morning, alone, between your calls.
Look at what a typical mindset practice delivers:
- Daily reflection loops. Morning intention prompts, evening "what did I notice?" reviews, gratitude or evidence logs. These need to arrive at a set time and be visible to you, not buried in a PDF workbook.
- Habit scaffolding. Meditation, journaling, a five-minute visualisation, reading. Streaks and counts give clients proof that they are becoming someone who follows through, which is often the point of the coaching itself.
- Weekly goals tied to a belief shift. "Send one pitch I would normally talk myself out of" is a mindset goal. It needs a progress marker and a place to reflect on what came up.
- Short teaching content. Audio exercises, short videos on cognitive reframes, worksheets. Usually a library, rarely a 40-lesson course.
- Cohorts and community. Many mindset coaches run group programs where peer accountability does half the work.
- Clear scope. Mindset coaching is not therapy. Your intake, agreement and client record should make that boundary visible, and you need to know when a client should be referred to a licensed mental health professional.
Kajabi covers the content, community and marketing parts. What its plans do not include is the per-client layer: habits, daily check-ins and individual plans. Coaches on Kajabi usually add a booking tool, a contract tool and a journaling or habit app on top. That stack is what each alternative below is measured against. For a broader view of the category, see our best software for mindset coaches guide and the general list of Kajabi alternatives for coaches.
Which Kajabi alternative fits your practice? Answer these 5 questions
Answer each question honestly about how you deliver today and how you want to deliver in a year. Your answers point to a short list in the table that follows.
- Do clients do daily practices you want to see? If yes (journaling, check-ins, habits), you need a coaching platform with per-client programs. If your clients mostly watch content and attend calls, a course or community tool can work.
- Is your main offer 1:1, group, or a self-paced product? 1:1 and small-group work needs booking, agreements and client records. Self-paced products need a course builder and checkout. Large groups need community features.
- How many active clients do you expect in 12 months? Five, fifteen and forty clients produce very different monthly bills across these tools. The cost table further down does the maths.
- Do you already have an audience to sell to? If your audience lives on Instagram or a newsletter, a link-in-bio store or funnel builder may matter more at first. If clients come from referrals, booking and a simple website matter more.
- How much setup time do you have? Moving off Kajabi means rebuilding pages, emails and content. A tool with a done-for-you build changes the answer for coaches who are already fully booked.
Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery (habits, check-ins, goals), total stack cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients, and setup effort including any free build service.

How did we choose and rank these tools?
We started from the vendors' own pricing pages and help documentation, checked between 25 and 27 October 2026, and from what public reviewers report. We did not run hands-on tests of each product. Every tool had to replace at least two jobs Kajabi does for a mindset coach (courses, community, website, email or checkout). Tools then moved up for between-session delivery and down for missing back-office pieces you would have to buy elsewhere. Prices are list prices in US dollars as published in October 2026; processing fees from Stripe or PayPal come on top unless noted.
We left out pure email tools such as Kit and Flodesk, because they replace only Kajabi's email. If email is your main concern, our email marketing guide for mindset coaches covers them.
1. Coachful: the all-in-one pick for mindset coaches who coach between sessions
Coachful is a coaching platform that runs the whole client journey, from the first booking to the last check-in, in one account. For a mindset coach that means the reflection prompts, habits and weekly goals live in the same place as the calendar, the agreement and the payment, and the client sees all of it in one branded app.

Between-session delivery. You build multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks and habits, then attach morning and evening check-ins. A twelve-week "inner critic" program might send a morning prompt ("What story might show up today?") and an evening review ("Where did you act anyway?"), with a daily journaling habit and a weekly goal like "share one opinion in a meeting". Goals carry progress bars and habits show streaks, so the client sees evidence of change. You see completion rates and each client's status (thriving, active, quiet or at risk), which flags the person who has gone silent before they cancel.

Content and community. Courses with modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking sit next to downloads, videos, books, events and bundles, all delivered into the client's branded home. When someone enrolls in a group program, a cohort group is created automatically, with a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. That covers most of what mindset coaches use Kajabi's course and community products for.

The business side. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time zones, with two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync and built-in video or automatic Zoom, Meet and Teams links. Intake questions on booking let you screen for scope before the first call. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before session one and are stored on the client record, which is where a mindset coach's "this is coaching, not therapy" clause belongs. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with subscriptions, payment plans, coupons and a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026. The section-based website builder, funnels, email sequences and a link-in-bio page replace Kajabi's marketing side.
AI that works from your practice. Michelle, the built-in assistant, briefs you before each session from the client's check-ins and notes, summarises recorded sessions, drafts emails and can build a program outline for you. The optional AI Coach is an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions, configured by you. For mindset clients who spiral on a Sunday night, that can be the difference between a stalled week and a reframe. Coachful also counts coaching hours against ICF ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log, useful if you are working toward a credential.
Here is a walkthrough of how check-ins are set up and what the client sees:
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. Leaving Kajabi usually stalls at the rebuild. In Coachful you open Create > We'll build it for you, describe what you want (a website, a funnel, a program, a course outline, an email sequence, a lead quiz), attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo and current copy, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It is free on every plan. Nothing is invented: no fake testimonials, credentials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi recently had their homepage and About page rebuilt and their contact form connected this way. The service does not record videos, design logos or run ads. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Price. Coachful uses flat monthly plans; lower plans cap the number of clients and Pro is unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). There is a free trial, and monthly plans cancel in one click.
Limits to know. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and is not built for clinical record-keeping, so if you also practise as a licensed therapist, keep clinical notes in a clinical system. There is no PayPal and no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than your own App Store account. It is not a course marketplace, and there are no third-party plugins.
In short: Coachful is for mindset coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, and who want to replace four to six tools with one. It does not do clinical records, PayPal or marketplace distribution. Start with the free trial and ask the team to build your site or first program for free. See the Coachful page for mindset coaches or compare directly on Coachful vs Kajabi.
2. Podia: a simple storefront for mindset products and paid calls
Podia is the easiest step down from Kajabi if what you mostly sell is a mix of digital products, a few workshops and the odd coaching session. Its storefront handles courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and a community in one place, and the editor is far lighter than Kajabi's.

For a mindset coach, Podia works well as a shop for a "Reframe Your Inner Critic" audio pack, a journaling workbook and a short self-paced course, with a community space where buyers can post wins. Its pricing page, as listed in October 2026, shows Mover at $49 a month ($42 billed annually) with 50 products and 25 community spaces, Shaker at $99 a month ($84 annually) with 150 products and an assistant seat, and Earthquaker at $179 a month ($150 annually) with unlimited products. The trial runs 14 days with no card required.
The constraints show up quickly once you have real clients. Mover charges a 5% Podia transaction fee on sales; Shaker and Earthquaker charge 0%. Email subscriber allowances are small: 100, 500 and 1,000 subscribers included on the three plans, which is tight if your lead magnet is a free "mindset reset" guide. An older profile notes there is no mobile app and no native video calls. Most importantly for this niche, Podia has no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans, so the daily practice still lives in a notebook or a separate app you cannot see.
Reviewers on Trustpilot rate Podia 4.1 from 153 reviews (seen October 2026). Podia and Kajabi are compared head to head on our Kajabi vs Podia page.
Pick it over Coachful if your business is mostly digital products sold to an audience, coaching is an occasional add-on, and you do not need to track what clients do between calls.
3. Mighty Networks: when the community is the program
Mighty Networks makes sense for mindset coaches whose core offer is a membership: a group that meets for live sessions, follows a course together and supports each other daily. It combines community, courses and events, with member apps under the Mighty brand.

As listed in October 2026, Launch costs $95 a month ($79 billed annually) with 3 hosts, 200 GB storage and 20 hours of livestreaming a month for up to 100 attendees. Scale is $215 a month ($179 annually) with 5 hosts and 30 livestream hours for 200 attendees. Growth is $354 a month billed annually, and Mighty Pro, which adds your own branded apps, is custom-priced. There is a 14-day trial with no card, and it includes Growth features.
Mighty takes a platform fee on sales: 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing. For a membership charging monthly, that fee compounds. The bigger gap for a mindset coach is the 1:1 side: there is no scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. You can post a daily prompt to the whole group, but you cannot see whether one quiet member has stopped doing the work.
Trustpilot shows 3.3 from 219 reviews (seen October 2026). We cover more options in our Mighty Networks alternatives for mindset coaches guide.
Pick it over Coachful if you run a large membership of 100+ people where peer discussion is the product, and private 1:1 tracking is not part of the offer.
4. Circle: a polished community home for group mindset programs
Circle suits mindset coaches who want a clean, professional community with courses, events, live streams and paid memberships attached. It feels closer to a branded clubhouse than a social network, which works for premium group programs.

Circle's pricing page, as listed in October 2026, shows annual-billing prices only: Professional at $89 a month with 3 admins and 2,500 AI credits, Business at $199 a month with 5 admins, Scale at $419 a month with 10 admins, and custom-priced Circle Plus with unlimited admins and branded mobile apps. Monthly prices were not shown. A 14-day trial needs no card. Circle also takes a fee on payments: 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus, on top of Stripe processing.
For mindset work, Circle handles the group layer well: spaces for each cohort, live events for weekly calls, a course for the core curriculum. It does not have 1:1 scheduling or a client management back office, and there are no per-client habits, check-ins or coaching plans. Coaches using it for mindset programs typically add a booking tool and an agreement tool, and accept that individual practice stays invisible.
Trustpilot lists 4.1 from 129 reviews (seen October 2026). See our Circle alternatives for mindset coaches for the full picture, or the wider community platforms for mindset coaches roundup.
Pick it over Coachful if you want a premium standalone community for a large paying group and are happy to run booking, agreements and individual tracking in other tools.
5. Thinkific: a course-first platform for a signature mindset curriculum
Thinkific is the closest like-for-like replacement for Kajabi's course engine. If your business revolves around one structured curriculum, say an eight-module confidence course, it handles content, communities and memberships at a lower entry price than Kajabi Basic.

Prices rose about 10% on 13 August 2026. As listed in October 2026, Start is $109 a month ($82 billed annually) with 10,000 current students, 2 admins and 1 community. Grow is $219 a month ($164 annually) with 3 communities, and Expand is $499 a month ($374 annually). Every self-serve plan has a 30-day trial. Thinkific charges no transaction fee when you use Thinkific Payments, which it says is in line with other processors at 2.9%; third-party Stripe or PayPal gateways carry an extra gateway fee whose amount is not listed on the page.
The fit problem for mindset coaches is the same as Kajabi's. There is no built-in 1:1 scheduling (an older profile notes coaching relies on external booking links), and there are no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. The branded mobile app is a $199-a-month add-on. You end up with a strong course and the same tool stack around it.
Public reviewers are harsh: Trustpilot shows 1.8 from 868 reviews (seen October 2026). For a direct comparison, read Kajabi vs Thinkific, or our course platforms for mindset coaches list.
Pick it over Coachful if a large self-paced course with thousands of students is your main revenue and coaching is a small upsell.
6. Ruzuku: cohort courses with live sessions on a small budget
Ruzuku is a straightforward online course platform that serves coaches alongside creatives, nonprofits and teachers. Its strength for mindset work is the cohort course: a group moves through lessons together, discusses each step, and meets live inside the platform.

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan allows up to 5 students enrolled at a time with no card, which is enough to pilot a small mindset circle. Core costs $99 a month ($83.08 billed annually) for unlimited students and courses; Pro costs $199 a month ($166.42 annually) and adds larger video uploads and 4K streaming. Every plan, including Free, has 0% Ruzuku transaction fees, and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Ruzuku's course builder takes video, audio, downloads, quizzes and discussions, with drip by enrollment date or fixed dates. Built-in live video handles up to 60 people in conference mode or 250 in presentation mode, plus Zoom. Community discussions and direct messaging are on every plan. It sells one-time, membership and payment-plan access.
The gaps: there is no booking calendar, no agreements and no per-client habits or check-ins. Audio lessons and discussion threads can carry some daily practice, but you cannot see an individual's streak or mood over time. Ruzuku shows a G2 badge of 4.4; we could not verify the review count.
Pick it over Coachful if you only run occasional cohort courses with discussion and live calls, want 0% fees from day one, and do not offer ongoing 1:1 coaching.
7. Teachable: a cheap course storefront with student apps
Teachable is a course and digital product platform with student mobile apps. For a mindset coach who wants to sell a recorded program at the lowest possible monthly cost, it is one of the cheapest exits from Kajabi.

Its pricing page, as listed in October 2026, shows Starter at $39 a month ($29 billed annually) with 5 products, Builder at $89 a month ($69 annually) with 10 products, and Growth at $189 a month ($139 annually) with 50 products and 5 admins. Students are listed as unlimited. Plan cards mention a 7-day trial plus a 30-day guarantee. The catch on Starter is a 7.5% platform fee on every sale; Builder and above charge 0%. Teachable Payments processing is 2.9% + 30¢ for US cards and 3.9% + 30¢ internationally, with a $15 chargeback fee.
For mindset delivery, Teachable has no native scheduling or calendar sync, so coaching calls rely on Calendly or Zoom (per an older profile). There are no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. A coach could sell a "30 days of reframes" course with daily lessons, but the reflection itself happens off-platform.
Trustpilot lists 3.3 from 1,110 reviews (seen October 2026).
Pick it over Coachful if you sell a handful of recorded courses to a large audience, want student mobile apps, and do not deliver individual coaching through the platform.
8. Kartra: a marketing suite for launch-driven mindset businesses
Kartra is an all-in-one marketing platform with pages, funnels, email and SMS, memberships, calendars and a helpdesk. It suits mindset coaches who grow through launches: a free challenge, a webinar, then a cart opening for a group program.

As listed in October 2026, Essentials costs $59 a month ($52 billed annually) but caps you at 500 contacts, 5 pages, 1 product and 1 membership, and charges a 5% transaction fee. Starter at $119 a month ($99 annually) lifts that to 2,500 contacts, unlimited pages and products, unlimited email and SMS and 5 team members with 0% fee. Growth is $229 a month ($189 annually) with 12,500 contacts, and Professional is $549 a month ($429 annually). There is a 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Kartra has calendars, which Kajabi users often bolt on, but no client habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans. An older profile notes there is no mobile app for students or admins, and funnels and memberships are not portable to other platforms, which matters if you have just been through one migration already. Trustpilot shows 3.2 from 129 reviews (seen October 2026).
Pick it over Coachful if SMS marketing and a built-in helpdesk are central to how you sell, and your delivery is mostly a membership area rather than individual programs.
9. LearnWorlds: interactive courses with assessments
LearnWorlds is a course and learning platform with a website builder, funnels, SCORM support and interactive video. Mindset coaches who like building self-assessments into lessons, such as a beliefs inventory before a module and a re-check after, will find more tools here than in most course builders.

The pricing page shows euros for some visitors; in US dollars, as listed in October 2026, Starter costs $29 a month ($24 billed annually) with 1 admin and 1,000 active learners a month, but adds a $5 fee per paid enrollment. Pro Trainer is $99 a month ($79 annually) with 5 admins, 2,000 active learners, 15 page funnels and 2,000 mass emails a month. Learning Center is $299 a month ($249 annually). The trial lasts 30 days, and LearnWorlds' pages say no card is required; the school is scheduled for deletion if you do not upgrade.
For mindset coaching, the interactive video and quizzes are the attraction. The limits are the familiar ones: it is not built for 1:1 client management, habits or check-ins, and the branded mobile app is a separately priced add-on. Trustpilot shows 4.8 from 423 reviews (seen October 2026).
Pick it over Coachful if you are building a certification-style or assessment-heavy course, possibly for organisations, and individual coaching happens elsewhere.
10. Systeme.io: the lowest-cost way off Kajabi
Systeme.io is a budget all-in-one marketing suite: funnels, email, courses, community, blog and an affiliate program. For a mindset coach just starting out, it covers Kajabi's core marketing jobs for a fraction of the cost.

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan never expires and includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, 500 students, a blog and one custom domain. Startup is $17 a month with 5,000 contacts and 5 courses; Webinar is $47 a month; Unlimited is $97 a month with no caps on contacts, funnels or courses. Every plan has 0% transaction fees. Trustpilot shows 4.9 from 8,696 reviews (seen October 2026).
Where it falls short for mindset delivery: an older profile notes there is no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, community and course features are basic, and there is no branded mobile app. A free "7-day mindset reset" email course and a lead funnel work well here. Running a twelve-week 1:1 program does not.
Pick it over Coachful if you are pre-revenue, need a funnel and email list today at zero cost, and will not run structured client programs yet.
11. Stan Store: selling mindset offers from your social bio
Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls. Mindset coaches who build an audience on Instagram or TikTok use it to turn a post about self-talk into a sale in two taps.

As listed in October 2026, Creator costs $29 a month ($25 billed annually) with unlimited products and customers, and Creator Pro costs $99 a month ($79 annually). Email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates are only on Creator Pro. Stan takes 0% of sales; Stripe or PayPal processing applies. There is a 14-day trial, with the first month charged when it ends. Trustpilot shows 4.7 from 2,205 reviews (seen October 2026).
It is not a coaching back office. There are no contracts, invoices or client records, no programs with tasks, habits or check-ins, and no team seats advertised. Paid calls can be booked, but what happens after the call is not tracked. Our Stan Store vs Kajabi comparison goes further.
Pick it over Coachful if almost all your sales come from social media, your products are low-ticket downloads and mini-courses, and you do not yet run ongoing client work.
12. Skool: a gamified community with a classroom
Skool bundles a community, a classroom and a calendar into one group, with leaderboards that reward participation. For a mindset challenge (30 days of morning pages, say), points and levels can nudge engagement in a way most platforms do not.

As listed in October 2026, Hobby costs $9 a month ($7.50 billed annually) with unlimited members, courses, videos and live calls, but takes 10% + 30¢ on every transaction. Pro costs $99 a month ($82.50 annually) and charges 2.9% + 30¢ on transactions up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900. Payments run only through Skool Payments, and fees are non-refundable. The pricing page did not state trial length on the day we checked.
There is no custom-domain website, no funnels, no email automation and no public API. There are no 1:1 client records, intake forms, habits or check-ins. Trustpilot shows 1.6 from 54 reviews (seen October 2026). Our Kajabi vs Skool and Skool alternatives for mindset coaches articles cover it in depth.
Pick it over Coachful if you want the cheapest possible paid community, leaderboards suit your audience, and you are fine with Skool handling every payment.
How do the features compare side by side?
The matrix shows which of the jobs a mindset practice needs each tool covers natively, based on vendor documentation in October 2026. "No" means the feature is not listed in the vendor information we reviewed, so plan for another tool.

What will you pay at 5, 15 and 40 clients?
Most course and community tools price by products, contacts or admins rather than clients, so their bill stays flat while yours grows. The catch is what you add on top to cover booking, agreements and daily tracking. The table uses the cheapest plan that makes sense at each size, as listed in October 2026, before card processing fees. Add-on tool costs vary, so they are noted rather than priced.
| Tool | 5 clients | 15 clients | 40 clients | Still needed for a mindset practice |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Nothing for booking, agreements, check-ins or courses |
| Kajabi Basic | $179/mo | $179/mo | $179/mo | Habit and check-in app, agreement tool |
| Podia Shaker | $99/mo (Mover $49 + 5% fee) | $99/mo | $99/mo | Habit tracking, agreements, video calls |
| Mighty Networks Launch | $95/mo + 2% of sales | $95/mo + 2% | $95/mo + 2% | Booking, agreements, 1:1 tracking |
| Circle Professional | $89/mo (annual) + 2% | $89/mo + 2% | $89/mo + 2% | Booking, agreements, 1:1 tracking |
| Thinkific Start | $109/mo | $109/mo | $109/mo | Booking, agreements, habit tracking |
| Ruzuku | $0 (Free, 5 students) | $99/mo (Core) | $99/mo (Core) | Booking, agreements, habit tracking |
| Teachable Builder | $89/mo (Starter $39 + 7.5%) | $89/mo | $89/mo | Booking, agreements, habit tracking |
| Kartra Starter | $119/mo | $119/mo | $119/mo | Agreements, habit tracking |
| LearnWorlds Starter | $29/mo + $5 per paid enrollment | $29/mo + $5 each | $99/mo (Pro Trainer) | Booking, agreements, habit tracking |
| Systeme.io | $0 (Free) | $17/mo (Startup) | $17/mo | Booking, agreements, habit tracking |
| Stan Store Creator Pro | $99/mo (Creator $29 without email) | $99/mo | $99/mo | Agreements, client records, habit tracking |
| Skool | $9/mo + 10% + 30¢ per sale | $99/mo (Pro) + 2.9% + 30¢ | $99/mo + 2.9% + 30¢ | Website, email, booking, agreements, habit tracking |
Example: if you sell a group mindset program to 15 clients through Skool Hobby, a 10% fee on every payment can cost more than the subscription itself, which is why the table switches to Pro at that size. Run your own numbers with your real prices before choosing. For Kajabi's full fee breakdown, see Kajabi pricing in 2026.
How would a mindset coach set this up in Coachful, step by step?
Here is an illustrative setup for a fictional coach running a 12-week group-plus-1:1 program called "Quiet the Inner Critic". Names and program details are examples, not a customer story.
- Request the build. From Create, ask the white-glove team for a website and an application funnel. Attach your Kajabi sales page link, your logo and your About copy. The team builds both in your account, usually within about 24 hours, and leaves gaps where testimonials or credentials would go.
- Set up the discovery call. Create a free 30-minute booking page with buffers and minimum notice, synced to your Google or Outlook calendar. Add intake questions, including one that screens scope: "Are you currently receiving treatment for a mental health condition?" Use the answer to decide whether coaching is appropriate now or alongside a clinician.
- Write the agreement. Send a coaching agreement for e-signature before the first session. State plainly that coaching is not therapy or medical care, describe confidentiality and its limits, and explain how you will respond if a client discloses risk. The ICF Code of Ethics is a useful reference for what to cover.
- Build the program. Lay out 12 weeks with one weekly goal each ("notice three critical thoughts and write the alternative"), daily tasks and two habits: a five-minute morning meditation and an evening journal. Ask Michelle to draft the first outline from your notes, then edit it.
- Attach check-ins. Add a morning check-in (mood, intention for the day) and an evening check-in (where the critic showed up, what you did anyway). These feed each client's record and status.
- Add the library. Upload your guided audio exercises, a reframing worksheet and a short course on the core model, delivered into the client's branded home with drip by week.
- Price and checkout. Connect your Stripe account, set a one-time price and a three-month payment plan, and add an order bump such as a recorded workshop. Decide the price from your hours, your costs and what comparable coaches in your market charge.
- Open the cohort. Enrollment creates the cohort group automatically. Schedule a weekly group call as a video event and post a Monday prompt in the feed.
- Configure the AI Coach. Turn it on for selected clients who want support between sessions, and tell clients plainly that it supports their program and is not a crisis service.
- Review weekly. Before each session, read Michelle's briefing on the client's check-ins and habits. Reach out to anyone marked quiet or at risk before the week is lost.

A note on scope. Mindset coaching borrows ideas from psychology, including the well-known fixed and growth mindset framing, but it is not treatment. If a client describes persistent hopelessness, trauma symptoms, self-harm or thoughts of suicide, pause coaching and refer them to a licensed professional. In the US, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available by call or text, and the National Institute of Mental Health lists ways to find help. What red flags and switching costs should you watch for?
The costliest mistakes when leaving Kajabi come from fees you did not model and content you cannot easily move. Check these before you commit.
- Exporting from Kajabi takes manual work. Kajabi provides CSV exports for contacts, subscriptions, sales and members by email, but course content has to be downloaded asset by asset. An older profile (September 2026) notes data is removed 90 days after cancellation, so export before you cancel.
- Percentage fees on community tools. Mighty Networks and Circle take 0.5% to 2% of sales; Skool takes up to 10% + 30¢ on Hobby. On a recurring membership, these add up every month.
- Entry plans with a fee attached. Teachable Starter (7.5%), Podia Mover (5%), Kartra Essentials (5%) and LearnWorlds Starter ($5 per paid enrollment) look cheap until your first launch.
- Payment lock-in. Skool processes payments only through Skool Payments. Moving subscribers later can mean asking them to re-subscribe.
- Funnels that do not travel. Older profiles note Kartra and ClickFunnels funnels are proprietary and not portable. Expect to rebuild pages each time you switch.
- Branded apps behind top tiers. Kajabi's branded app is Pro-only per its October 2026 comparison table; Thinkific's is a $199-a-month add-on; Circle's and Mighty's are on custom plans.
- Invisible between-session work. The quiet red flag for mindset coaches: if your new tool cannot show you whether a client did their evening reflection, you will find out about a stalled client only when they stop booking.
Coachful's switching path: clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, the white-glove team can rebuild your site and funnels, and you can export your full client data as a ZIP whenever you want. Our Kajabi alternative page summarises the move.
Which Kajabi alternative should a mindset coach choose?
Choose Coachful if your clients do daily mindset work you want to see and support, and you would rather pay for one platform than a course tool plus a booking app, a contract tool and a habit tracker. It covers booking, agreements, payments, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, website and email behind one login, and the free white-glove build removes most of the migration effort.
The other picks are good at narrower jobs. Podia suits product-led coaches with occasional calls. Mighty Networks and Circle suit large memberships. Thinkific, Teachable and LearnWorlds suit course-first businesses. Ruzuku is the budget cohort-course choice, Systeme.io the free starting point, Stan Store the social seller's checkout and Skool the cheap gamified community. If you are still comparing, our coaching software for mindset coaches and client accountability portals guides go deeper on the between-session side.
Frequently asked questions
Is Coachful cheaper than Kajabi for a mindset coach?
Kajabi Basic is listed at $179 a month in October 2026, before the habit, booking and agreement tools mindset coaches usually add. Coachful's flat plans are capped by client count (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients) and include those pieces. Compare at your real client count using the cost table above.
Can I move my Kajabi courses to Coachful?
Yes. Coachful imports clients, programs and content for you during onboarding, and courses in Coachful support modules, lessons and drip. From Kajabi you will need to download course assets one by one, so export before cancelling.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a build service included on every plan. You describe what you need, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.
Is mindset coaching the same as therapy?
No. Mindset coaching helps clients change habits of thought and action toward goals; it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If a client shows signs of a condition that needs treatment, refer them to a licensed professional, and pause coaching if there is any risk of harm.
Can I track clients' journaling and daily reflections?
In Coachful, yes: morning and evening check-ins, habits with streaks and weekly goals all feed the client record and their status. Kajabi and the course and community tools in this list do not offer per-client habits or daily check-ins.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA. If you are also a licensed therapist, keep clinical records and insurance billing in a clinical system, and use Coachful for coaching clients.
Does Coachful take PayPal?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, subscriptions and payment plans. If PayPal is essential to your buyers, Podia, Teachable and Ruzuku support it.
Which option is best for a large mindset membership?
For a community of hundreds where peer discussion is the product, Mighty Networks or Circle are strong, with Skool as the low-cost gamified option. If the membership also includes individual programs, Coachful's automatic cohort groups and community feed let you run both in one place.
Do my clients get an app?
Yes. Clients use the Coachful app with your branding to see their program, habits, check-ins, sessions and content. It is published under the Coachful listing rather than your own App Store account.
Is there a free plan?
Coachful has a free trial but no permanent free plan. Systeme.io and Ruzuku offer free plans with limits if you need to start at zero cost.
