The 12 Best Community Platforms for Mindset Coaches, Compared

The 12 Best Community Platforms for Mindset Coaches, Compared

The best community platforms for mindset coaches do one thing that a generic forum cannot: they keep a client practising the new belief on the days between calls. A mindset client rarely changes in the session itself. The shift happens on a Tuesday morning when they catch the old story, write the reframe down and tell their cohort about it. So the deciding question is simple. Does the platform hold the group conversation, the private daily practice and the 1:1 relationship in one place, or will you stitch three tools together and hope clients log into all of them?

Our pick is Coachful, because its community, cohort groups, morning and evening check-ins, habits, booking and payments sit behind one login for you and one branded app for your clients. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the eleven other entries too: Circle, Mighty Networks and Skool are stronger pure communities, and Kajabi, Teachable and Thinkific are stronger course stores. Every price below is as listed by each vendor in October 2026 unless a section says otherwise.

What do mindset coaches actually need from a community platform?

Mindset coaches need a community that supports private, repeated practice, not just a busy feed. The work is reflective and often vulnerable, and it depends on small daily reps. That shapes the requirements in ways a fitness or business group does not.

  • Cohort spaces, not one big room. A client sharing a limiting belief about money or self-worth will say far more to eight people who started the same eight-week program than to 400 strangers. Look for groups that form around a program enrolment, ideally on their own.
  • Daily prompts that live next to the conversation. Morning intention, evening reflection, a gratitude or reframe habit with a streak. If these sit in a separate app, completion drops and the community turns into a place people only visit before a live call.
  • A private lane for each client. Some of what clients bring is not for the group. Direct messages, private notes and a 1:1 session calendar should sit beside the feed so you can move a sensitive thread out of public view without changing tools.
  • Live calls and replays. Weekly group calls, hot-seat coaching and the odd workshop are the backbone of most mindset programs.
  • Short-form content. Audio visualisations, journaling worksheets and five-minute lessons on, for example, fixed to growth mindset exercises or abundance and scarcity work.
  • Signals you can act on. In mindset work, a client going quiet is often the moment they most need a nudge. Platforms that show who stopped checking in save programs.

One scope line belongs in every mindset community's guidelines: coaching is not therapy. Mindset coaches work on goals, beliefs and habits with people who are functioning well; they do not diagnose or treat anxiety, depression, trauma or any other mental health condition. When a member describes persistent hopelessness, panic, self-harm or symptoms that stop them functioning, move the conversation out of the group and refer them to a licensed professional. The US National Institute of Mental Health keeps a list of ways to find help, including crisis lines. If you want more background on where the field draws that line, see what mindset coaching is.

Which community platform wins for each mindset coaching situation?

Coachful wins overall; six other tools win specific situations. We ranked on one line of criteria: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build).

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

How did we rank these 12 platforms?

We ranked on what a mindset coach pays in time and money to run a cohort program end to end. That means four questions per tool, weighted equally.

  1. One login for the whole client journey. Can a client book a call, pay, join the cohort, do the morning check-in and message you without leaving the platform?
  2. Between-session delivery. Are there habits, check-ins, goals or prompts tied to each client, or only a shared feed?
  3. Total stack cost. Plan price plus platform fees on sales plus whatever you must add for scheduling, contracts or email.
  4. Setup effort. How long until the first cohort is live, and is help available to build it?

We did not run hands-on tests of every tool. Facts come from each vendor's pricing and feature pages and from what public reviewers report on Trustpilot, G2 and Capterra. Where a price came from our September 2026 research rather than a page checked this month, we say so. For a wider view of the category beyond this niche, read our group coaching community platform buying guide.

1. Coachful: best overall community platform for mindset coaches

Coachful wins when the community is part of a coaching program rather than the product itself. That describes most mindset coaches: a client buys an eight or twelve-week container, joins a cohort, does daily practice, attends group calls and books a few 1:1 sessions. Coachful runs all of it under one subscription.

A tablet and a phone in a quiet reading nook showing habit trackers and a client's coaching progress page
Coachful's habit tracker and a client's My Coaching progress page, shown with demo data, beside a meditation bell.

What Coachful is, in one paragraph. Coachful is a coaching platform. One membership covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a 4.5 rating from 21 reviews on Trustpilot.

The community layer. Coachful includes a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. When a client enrols in a program, Coachful creates the cohort group automatically, so your "Money Mindset Reset, January" cohort has its own space from day one without you building a room for every intake. Group calls and webinars run from the same place, and clients see everything inside your branded home and app.

The demo Squads view shows program-linked groups and example member counts.

The daily practice layer. This is the part pure community tools lack. Programs carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. A client opens the app, answers the morning intention prompt, ticks the reframe habit, then sees what their cohort posted. You see it too: each client record shows goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. In a mindset cohort, the "quiet" flag is often your cue to send a private message before someone drops out.

This short walkthrough shows how a program is built in Coachful:

The business layer. Booking pages handle availability, buffers, minimum notice and time zones, with two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync and built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with one-time, subscription and payment-plan options, coupons and order bumps, and Coachful charges a 0% platform fee on top of processing (since August 2026). Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call. Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking hold your lessons, worksheets and downloads. The website builder, funnels and email sequences cover the marketing side; see our guide to a mindset coach website for what to put on it.

The AI layer. Michelle, the built-in assistant, works from your live practice data: she can draft a program, write the cohort welcome email, summarise recorded sessions and brief you before a call. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. Separately, the AI Coach lets selected clients chat with an AI version of you between sessions, configured by you. If you are working toward an ICF credential, Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log (ICF hour tracking).

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, the "We'll build it for you" option lets you describe what you want built, such as a cohort program, a sales page for a group container, a lead-magnet funnel for a free reframing workbook, or an email sequence. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logos, photos, brand guides, copy, documents; no video). The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. Recent anonymised builds include a five-page site in sage and cream for a menopause and midlife coach, and a year-long cohort program with an application form and a nine-day bootcamp funnel for a money coach. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. More detail: how the white-glove service works.

Coachful Create page showing the We will build it for you card
The Create page in Coachful with the card for requesting a white-glove build.

What Coachful does not do. It is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. There is no PayPal. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There are no third-party plugins, it is not a course marketplace, and there is no Salesforce or HubSpot integration. Lower plans cap the number of clients; Pro is unlimited.

Price and how to start. Plans are flat monthly, with team plans adding coach seats (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Start with a free trial, request the white-glove build of your first cohort program, and your clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. 2. Circle: the pick for a paid membership community with many spaces

Circle wins when the community is the product: a paid mindset membership with dozens of topic spaces, a moderation team and a calendar of events that members pay for monthly. It is a mature community tool, and public reviewers rate it 4.1 from 129 reviews on Trustpilot (seen October 2026).

Circle homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Circle's homepage in October 2026.

For a mindset coach, Circle's strengths are structure and scale. You can run separate spaces for a confidence track, a money mindset track and a members-only Q&A, run courses inside the same community, host events and live streams, and sell paid memberships. The Professional plan includes 3 admins and 10 moderators, which matters once a membership grows past what you can read every day.

Prices as listed in October 2026, billed annually: Professional $89/mo, Business $199/mo, Scale $419/mo, with Circle Plus on custom pricing. There is a 14-day free trial on Professional, Business and Scale, with no credit card required. Circle also takes a fee on payments you collect: 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus, on top of Stripe processing.

Circle pricing page listing its Professional, Business and Scale plans
Circle's pricing page in October 2026.

The limits show up the moment a member wants private coaching. Circle has no 1:1 scheduling and no client management back office, and it has no per-client habits, check-ins or coaching plans. A mindset coach who sells a membership plus 1:1 packages will need a separate booking, contract and client-record tool, and members will have two logins. Branded mobile apps are only on custom-priced Circle Plus.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is a large, open membership with many spaces and moderators, you sell little or no 1:1 coaching, and you are happy to pay a percentage of community sales for that depth.

3. Mighty Networks: the pick for livestream-heavy programs

If your mindset program revolves around big live sessions, a weekly livestream masterclass or a monthly visualisation event with a hundred people on it, Mighty Networks is built around that pattern. It combines community, courses and events, and members use Mighty-branded apps.

Mighty Networks homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Mighty Networks's homepage in October 2026.

The Launch plan, as listed in October 2026, costs $95/mo or $79/mo billed annually and includes 3 hosts, 10 moderators, 200 GB of storage and 20 hours a month of livestreaming for up to 100 attendees. Scale is $215/mo ($179/mo annually) with 30 livestream hours for 200 attendees; Growth is $354/mo billed annually with 40 hours for 1,000 attendees. Mighty Pro is custom. The 14-day free trial needs no credit card and includes Growth plan features, so test against the plan you will actually buy.

Mighty charges a platform fee on sales on top of Stripe: 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro. On a $10,000 cohort launch, that Launch fee is $200 before processing.

For mindset work specifically, the gaps are the same as Circle's. There is no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. You can post a daily prompt in the feed, but you cannot see which client answered their evening reflection or which one has gone quiet for a week. Your own branded app is only available on custom-priced Mighty Pro. Public reviewers give it 3.3 from 219 reviews on Trustpilot (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if live, large-audience events are the centre of your offer, your 1:1 work is minimal, and you want livestream hours built into the community plan.

4. Skool: the pick when you want gamified group momentum

Skool suits a mindset coach running one free or low-cost group as a top-of-funnel community, where points, levels and leaderboards keep members posting. Community, a classroom for courses and a calendar for live calls all sit in one group.

Skool homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Skool's homepage in October 2026.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Hobby is $9/mo ($7.5/mo annually) and Pro is $99/mo ($82.5/mo annually). Both include unlimited members, courses, videos and live calls. The catch is transaction fees: Hobby charges 10% + 30¢ on all transactions; Pro charges 2.9% + 30¢ up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900. Payments only run through Skool Payments, with weekly payouts on Wednesdays in local currency. The pricing page shows "Try for free" buttons, but trial length and card requirement were not stated on the pricing page or help FAQ when we checked.

Gamification can work well for habit-style mindset content, like a 30-day gratitude challenge. It can work against you in deeper work, where you do not want members chasing points by posting about their shame or grief. Think about which program you are running before you switch on the leaderboard.

The limits for coaching are clear. Skool has no custom domain website, no funnels, no email automation and no public API. It has no 1:1 client records, intake forms, habits or check-ins. Public reviewers rate it 1.6 from 54 reviews on Trustpilot (seen October 2026), and it was not listed on G2 or Capterra in our older profile.

Pick it over Coachful if you mainly want a cheap, gamified group to grow an audience, you are fine with Skool Payments and its per-sale fees, and you will handle 1:1 clients somewhere else.

5. Kajabi: for coaches whose income is mostly courses and email

Kajabi earns its place when a mindset coach makes most of their money from evergreen courses sold to a large email list, with the community as a bonus for buyers. It bundles a course platform, community, website, funnels and email.

Kajabi homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Basic costs $179/mo ($143/mo annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249/mo ($199/mo annually) with 50 products, 25,000 contacts and 500 AI credits. Pro is $499/mo ($399/mo annually) with 3 communities and 100,000 contacts. The standard trial is 14 days per the help center; a card is optional, and if you enter one Kajabi places an authorisation hold and charges when the trial ends. Some features, like bulk contact import and test emails, stay locked until you activate a paid plan.

Fees depend on the processor. Kajabi Payments in the US runs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.8% on Growth and 2.7% on Pro (each plus $0.30). Using another processor, excluding PayPal, adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro.

For the mindset use case, Kajabi treats coaching as products and communities rather than per-client plans. There is no habit tracking and no daily client check-ins, so the morning intention and evening reflection loop either lives in the community feed (where you cannot track it per person) or in another tool. The 2,500-contact cap on Basic also arrives quickly if you run a popular lead magnet such as a free money mindset workbook. Public reviewers rate Kajabi 3.4 from 2,347 reviews on Trustpilot (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if your revenue is mostly self-paced courses sold through email marketing at volume, and the community is a perk for buyers rather than the place where coaching happens.

6. Delenta: a coaching back office that also runs cohorts

Delenta fits the mindset coach who is mostly 1:1 but wants a group container on the side. It is a coaching management platform first, with client portals, sessions and bookings, e-sign contracts and coaching logs, and its help center describes community feeds and group chat for cohorts.

We checked the pricing page in October 2026. Starter is $29/mo ($229/yr) with 1 seat and 10 prospect and client portals; Pro is $49/mo ($469/yr) with 40 portals and adds group coaching management; Premium is $79/mo ($699/yr) with unlimited portals, custom domain and branded client portals. Teams and Enterprise are custom. Delenta states no additional transaction fees, so you pay only Stripe or PayPal processing. The page headline says "14 day free trial" and "No credit card required", while its own FAQ describes 7 days of full access, so confirm the length when you sign up.

For a mindset coach, the attraction is that 1:1 work is handled properly: booking calendars with Outlook and Google sync, session notes, tasks and goals per client, and contracts. Our September 2026 research also found a white-labelled iOS and Android client app on Premium and above, and AI session summaries.

Where it falls short for this niche: we found no dedicated habit tracker, so daily practice is tracked as tasks and goals rather than streaks and morning or evening check-ins. Group coaching starts on Pro, not Starter. Reviewers on Capterra (4.8 from 60 reviews, September 2026) praise support but mention a learning curve and a clunky mobile scheduling experience, and its website is a landing page and booking calendar rather than a full site builder. On Trustpilot it had only 5 reviews (4.1) when we checked in September 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if you need HIPAA coverage in your coaching platform (Delenta lists HIPAA and GDPR with a public trust center), or you want your client app under your own brand in the app stores and you mostly coach 1:1.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

7. Practice Better: when a wellness practice needs HIPAA-ready group programs

Practice Better is the right call for a mindset coach who works inside a wellness practice alongside dietitians or functional medicine practitioners, where charting, HIPAA and telehealth are non-negotiable. It is practice management software with programs, and its program chat can run as a social-style feed.

Practice Better homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Sprout is a no-cost plan for 3 clients; Starter is $35/mo ($25/mo annually) for 10 clients; Professional is $69/mo ($59/mo annually) for 300 clients and adds group scheduling, fixed-date programs and payment plans; Plus is $99/mo ($89/mo annually) for unlimited clients with evergreen programs, portal branding and a custom URL; Team is $155/mo for 2 practitioners. Trials are 14 days on paid solo plans and 30 days on Team.

What it does well: a client portal on web, iOS and Android, built-in HIPAA-compliant telehealth, forms and signed agreements, food and lifestyle journaling with daily targets, and integrations including Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin and Oura. G2 reviewers rate it 4.7 from 296 reviews and Capterra reviewers 4.8 from 96.

Why it ranks here for mindset work: the community is program chat, not a standalone space, so there is no open feed where alumni keep talking after a cohort ends. Habits are journaling and lifestyle targets rather than a streak-based habit tracker. There is no website builder or funnel pages, so your marketing lives elsewhere. Evergreen programs, branding and SMS reminders start on Plus, and group video runs through Zoom rather than the built-in telehealth.

Pick it over Coachful if you need HIPAA-ready tools, insurance documents or wearable data because you work inside a clinical wellness practice, and community is a small part of what you deliver.

8. Teachable: a course school with a community attached

Teachable suits mindset coaches who want a course-first business at a lower entry price than Kajabi, with a community and simple coaching products alongside. Its coaching product type includes intake, milestones, messaging and file sharing.

We checked the pricing page in October 2026. Starter is $39/mo ($29/mo annually) with 5 products and a 7.5% transaction fee; Builder is $89/mo ($69/mo annually) with 10 products and 0% transaction fee; Growth is $189/mo ($139/mo annually) with 50 products. Community and memberships are listed among the platform features on its plans. Each plan shows a 7-day free trial and a 30-day guarantee, and a pop-up on the same page was offering an extended 30-day trial on Builder. Teachable Payments processing is listed separately (US cards 2.9% + 30¢ per our September 2026 research).

For mindset work, the course builder is mature, with quizzes and, on Growth, certificates, and students get Teachable's iOS and Android apps on every plan. That is handy for audio lessons a client plays on a walk. But availability-based booking runs through a Calendly integration rather than a native calendar, there are no habits or check-ins, and our September 2026 research noted caps on active students per plan that grow costs as you grow. Public reviewers rate it 3.3 from 1,101 reviews on Trustpilot (September 2026), with complaints about escalating costs and slow support.

Pick it over Coachful if you are building a course catalogue first, want student apps without a custom-priced tier, and are happy to bolt on a scheduler for the occasional 1:1.

9. Systeme.io: the starting point when the budget is close to zero

Systeme.io is the answer for a new mindset coach who wants a funnel, a course and a small community live this week without a monthly bill. It bundles funnels, email marketing, a website builder and blog, courses, communities and a booking calendar.

We checked the pricing page in October 2026. The no-cost plan supports up to 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 blog, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 affiliate program and 1 custom domain, with unlimited email sends and no credit card; it processes up to $10,000 in total sales before you must upgrade. Startup is $17/month (5,000 contacts, 10 sales funnels, 5 courses), Webinar is $47/month (10,000 contacts, evergreen webinars) and Unlimited is $97/month. Our September 2026 research found a 0% platform fee on every plan, with Stripe or PayPal processing only.

The community is basic: a member feed and groups. Our research found no live rooms or cohort tooling, no member or admin app and no gamification, and no habit or check-in tracking. For a mindset coach, it works as the marketing front end, a lead magnet such as a free five-day reframing challenge, plus a low-cost course, but it will not show you which client skipped their reflection this week. Public reviewers rate it 4.9 from 8,424 reviews on Trustpilot (September 2026), with frequent praise for support.

Pick it over Coachful if you have no paying clients yet, want to test an offer and build a list before spending anything, and do not need per-client tracking until later.

10. Podia: a simple storefront that includes community spaces

Podia fits the mindset coach who sells a handful of things, say a journaling course, a meditation audio pack and a few coaching sessions, and wants a members' space without learning a complex tool. It is a storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and community.

Podia homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Podia's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026: Mover is $49/mo ($42/mo annually) with 50 products, 25 community spaces and 100 email subscribers included; Shaker is $99/mo ($84/mo annually) with 150 products, 100 spaces and 500 email subscribers; Earthquaker is $179/mo ($150/mo annually) with unlimited products and spaces and 1,000 email subscribers. Mover charges a 5% Podia fee on sales; Shaker and Earthquaker charge 0%. Stripe or PayPal processing applies on top. The trial is 14 days with full access and no card.

The small email allowance is the biggest constraint for a coach growing a list through a mindset quiz or free workbook. Our older profile also noted no mobile app and no native video calls, which matters for clients who do their morning practice on a phone. There are no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. Public reviewers give it 4.1 from 153 reviews on Trustpilot (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if you sell a small catalogue of digital products with a light community, rarely coach 1:1 at volume, and value a very short learning curve over daily client tracking.

11. Thinkific: course-heavy academies with several communities

Thinkific makes sense for a mindset coach building an academy: several structured courses, a certification-style path and separate communities for each. It is a course platform with communities, memberships and coaching or webinar products.

Thinkific homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Thinkific's homepage in October 2026.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Start is $109/mo ($82/mo annually) with 1 community of 10 spaces, 5 live community events, 2 admins and a maximum group size of 50; Grow is $219/mo ($164/mo annually) with 3 communities and group size 100; Expand is $499/mo ($374/mo annually) with 10 communities. Prices rose about 10% on 13 August 2026 (Start went from $99 to $109). Thinkific Payments carries a 0% Thinkific transaction fee; third-party gateways carry an extra per-plan fee not listed on the page. Every self-serve plan has a 30-day free trial.

A branded mobile app is a $199/mo add-on. Our older profile notes no built-in 1:1 scheduling, with coaching relying on external booking links, and there are no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. Public reviewers rate Thinkific 1.8 from 868 reviews on Trustpilot (seen October 2026).

For mindset coaches, the 5 live community events on Start can feel tight if you run a weekly group call plus workshops; check how events are counted before you plan a cohort calendar around it.

Pick it over Coachful if you are building a multi-course academy where structured curriculum and certificates matter more than daily client practice or 1:1 sessions.

12. Stan Store: link-in-bio selling with a community on the entry plan

Stan Store is for the mindset coach whose audience lives on Instagram or TikTok and who sells directly from a link-in-bio page: a mini-course, a booking for a clarity call and a monthly community. Its prices here come from our September 2026 research, not a page we checked this month, so confirm them before you buy.

The Creator plan was $29/mo ($25/mo annually) with unlimited products and customers, and it included digital downloads, courses, webinars, memberships and community, plus calendar bookings. Creator Pro was $99/mo ($79/mo annually) and adds email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates. Stan charges no platform fee; processing applies, and third parties report a Stripe payout fee on top. The community has posts, categories and an activity feed and is sold as a membership.

Public reviewers rate it 4.7 from 2,156 reviews on Trustpilot (September 2026) and often praise how quickly a store goes live. They also report payout delays and surprise charges after trials. For mindset work, there are no contracts, invoices or client records, no habit tracking and no cohort management; it is a storefront, not a coaching back office.

Pick it over Coachful if nearly all your sales start from social media, your offers are small and impulse-priced, and you do not need client records or daily check-ins.

How do the 12 platforms compare feature by feature?

Only Coachful combines a community, 1:1 booking and per-client daily check-ins in one product. The matrix below uses each vendor's own documentation as of October 2026, or our September 2026 research where noted in the sections above.

The column that separates tools for this niche is the fourth one. A mindset program without per-client check-ins asks the client to remember the practice alone, and asks you to guess who is doing it. If you want to go deeper on that part of the stack, our guide to client accountability portals for mindset coaches covers it in detail.

What does a mindset community stack cost each month?

A single all-in-one plan usually costs less than a community tool plus a separate booking and client-record tool. The three example stacks below are illustrations built from list prices in this article, for a coach with about 15 active clients and one paid cohort; Stripe processing applies to all of them and is left out.

StackWhat it coversMonthly cost (example)Extra fees on sales
Coachful aloneCommunity, cohorts, check-ins, booking, contracts, payments, courses, website, emailSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clients0% platform fee
Example stack A: Circle Professional + Practice Better ProfessionalMembership community plus 1:1 booking and portal for up to 300 clients; no website or funnels$89 (billed annually) + $69 = $1582% Circle fee on community sales
Example stack B: Kajabi Basic + Delenta ProCourses, 1 community, website and email plus 1:1 portals for up to 40 clients$179 + $49 = $228Kajabi Payments processing; none from Delenta
Example stack C: Systeme.io Startup + Skool HobbyFunnels, email, courses plus a gamified group; no 1:1 records$17 + $9 = $2610% + 30¢ on Skool sales

Stack C looks cheapest until you sell through it. On a $3,000 month of cohort sales via Skool Hobby, the 10% fee alone is $300, which is more than stack B's full monthly bill. Stack A and B each mean two logins for clients and two places to check before a call. How would a mindset coach set up a cohort community in Coachful?

The setup takes six steps, and you can hand most of them to the white-glove team. Here is an example: an eight-week "Confidence Reset" cohort for 12 clients, with weekly group calls and two 1:1 sessions each.

  1. Build the program. Create an eight-week program with one weekly goal per week (for example, week 3: "notice and rewrite three self-critical thoughts"). Use one of the ready-to-film program templates, ask Michelle to draft it from your outline, or request it through the white-glove build.
  2. Add the daily loop. Attach a morning check-in (intention for the day) and an evening check-in (one moment you acted from the new belief), plus a daily journaling habit with a streak.
  3. Set the offer and checkout. Create the paid offer through your own Stripe or Razorpay account, add a payment plan if you want one, and attach your coaching agreement for e-signature before the first call.
  4. Let enrolment create the cohort. When each client enrols, Coachful creates and fills the cohort group automatically. Post house rules, including the scope line that the group is coaching, not therapy, and that you will move sensitive threads to a private message.
  5. Schedule the calls. Set up the weekly group call as a video event and give each client session credits for their two 1:1 sessions on your booking page.
  6. Watch the signals. Each week, scan client statuses. Anyone marked quiet or at risk gets a short private message before the next group call.

What mistakes do mindset coaches make when choosing a community platform?

The most common mistake is buying a community tool for a coaching problem. A busy feed feels like engagement, but it does not tell you whether a client did the daily practice. Others we see often:

  • One open room for everyone. Mixing alumni, free members and a paid cohort in one feed makes vulnerable sharing less likely. Use cohort spaces.
  • Ignoring per-sale fees. A 10% or 2% cut looks small on a pricing page and large on a launch. Model it at your real revenue.
  • Turning on leaderboards for deep work. Points reward posting volume, which is not the same as reflection.
  • No referral path. Write down, before launch, what you will do when a member's post suggests they need clinical support.
  • Two logins for clients. Every extra app is another place a struggling client stops showing up.

Verdict: which community platform should a mindset coach choose?

Choose Coachful if you run programs where the community supports daily practice and 1:1 coaching, which is how most mindset coaches work. Cohort groups appear on enrolment, morning and evening check-ins and habits sit beside the feed, and booking, contracts and payments need no second tool. Start with a free trial and ask the team to build your first cohort program for you.

Choose Circle or Mighty Networks if the community itself is the product and you sell little 1:1 work. Choose Skool for a cheap, gamified audience group. Choose Kajabi, Teachable or Thinkific if courses drive your income. Choose Delenta or Practice Better if HIPAA coverage is a requirement. Choose Systeme.io if you have no budget yet, and Podia or Stan Store for a small, simple storefront. Frequently asked questions

What is the best community platform for mindset coaches?

For most mindset coaches, Coachful, because the community sits beside daily check-ins, habits, 1:1 booking and payments under one login. If your community is a standalone paid membership with little 1:1 work, Circle or Mighty Networks are strong alternatives.

Is Skool good for mindset coaches?

Skool is good for a low-cost, gamified group that grows an audience. It has no 1:1 client records, habits or check-ins, and the Hobby plan takes 10% + 30¢ of every sale, so it works better as a front door than as the home of a paid coaching program.

Can I run a private cohort and a free community at the same time?

Yes, on most platforms here. In Coachful, cohort groups are created automatically when clients enrol in a program, separate from your wider community feed, so paid clients get a private space without extra setup.

Do I need a separate app for daily check-ins?

Only if your community platform lacks them. Circle, Mighty Networks, Skool, Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific, Podia, Systeme.io and Stan Store have no per-client check-ins, so coaches add another tool. Coachful includes habits and morning and evening check-ins in your Coachful membership.

Is Coachful HIPAA compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Mindset coaches who work inside a clinical practice should look at Practice Better or Delenta, which state HIPAA compliance.

What is Coachful's white-glove build service?

It is a free build service on every plan. You describe what you want, such as a cohort program, sales page, funnel or email sequence, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ads.

How much should a mindset coaching community cost me each month?

It depends on whether you need one tool or two. A community tool alone runs from $9/mo (Skool Hobby) to $89/mo billed annually (Circle Professional) and up, and adding booking and client records added $49 to $69/mo in our example stacks (Delenta Pro or Practice Better Professional), plus any platform fee on sales. Compare the example stacks above against your real revenue.

How should I handle clients who share mental health struggles in the community?

Move the conversation to a private message, remind them that coaching is not therapy, and refer them to a licensed professional or a crisis line if there is any risk. Put this process in your community guidelines before launch so members know what to expect.

Can I move my existing community and clients to Coachful?

Yes. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can rebuild pages and funnels. If you leave later, you can export full client data as a ZIP, including notes, check-ins, goals, habits and sessions.
