Top 7 Course Platforms for Weight Loss Coaches in 2026

The best course platforms for weight loss coaches do more than host videos. A weight loss course only works when the lessons sit next to the daily habits, weekly check-ins and progress tracking that turn knowledge into changed routines. So the deciding question is simple: will your clients learn the material in one place and then log their walks, meals and weigh-ins somewhere else, or will the course, the habits and your coaching live in the same app?
Our pick is Coachful, because it puts courses, multi-week programs, habits, check-ins, nutrition targets, booking and payments behind one login for you and one branded app for your clients. We make Coachful, so weigh that, but we also lay out exactly where Kajabi, Thinkific, Everfit, Teachable, Podia and Systeme.io fit better, with prices as each vendor listed them in October 2026.
If you are still deciding on your wider stack, our guide to the best software for weight loss coaches covers booking and client management, and the parent roundup of course creation platforms for coaches covers the category for every niche.
What do weight loss coaches need from a course platform?
Weight loss coaches need a course platform that teaches and then tracks: short lessons on food, movement and sleep, followed by daily actions the client logs and you can see. A platform that only plays videos covers the easiest third of the job.
Look at how a typical weight loss coaching client actually moves through a program. They join after a free consult or a lead magnet such as a seven-day meal-planning guide. They watch a week-one lesson on building a plate, then they need to practise it 21 times that week. They step on the scale or take a waist measurement once a week, and they hit a plateau around week five, which is exactly when most self-paced course buyers stop logging in. The coach who sees that drop in check-ins on a Tuesday can send a message before the client quits. The coach who only sees "lesson 9 of 24 completed" finds out a month later.
That journey translates into a specific checklist:
- Drip-fed lessons tied to program weeks. Week three should open the protein lesson and the habit that goes with it, not the whole library on day one.
- Habits and daily check-ins. Water, steps, vegetables at two meals, a bedtime: weight loss is built from small repeated actions, so clients need a place to tick them off.
- Measurements and progress photos kept private. Many clients will not share a photo in a group, and they should never have to.
- Nutrition targets and meal plans, used within your scope. More on scope below.
- A community or cohort space. Group challenges and a weekly live Q&A are standard formats in this niche; see our guide to cohort course design.
- A path from course to coaching. Many weight loss coaches sell a low-priced course and upgrade buyers to a 12-week coached program, so checkout, booking and payment plans matter as much as the lesson player.
The scope line. Weight loss coaching is not medical treatment. A coach supports behaviour change; a doctor or registered dietitian diagnoses, prescribes and manages conditions. The US National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases advises people to talk with a health care professional about their weight and says weight-loss program staff should be able to answer questions about a program's features, safety, costs and results (NIDDK). In practice, refer out when a client mentions disordered eating, is pregnant, has diabetes or another condition that changes how they should eat, is starting or adjusting weight-loss medication, or reports rapid unexplained weight change. Put that referral policy in your course welcome lesson and your coaching agreement. Our article on weight loss coaching covers this in more depth.
Which course platforms for weight loss coaches are best at a glance?
Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions (habits, check-ins, progress), total monthly stack cost, and setup effort, including whether someone will build it for you.
| Platform | Best for | Starting price (as listed, October 2026) | Habits and check-ins |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who sell a course and coach clients through it | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Yes, plus nutrition targets and measurements |
| Kajabi | Large-audience course and membership businesses | $179/mo ($143/mo annual) | No |
| Thinkific | Polished self-paced courses at scale | $109/mo ($82/mo annual) | No |
| Everfit | Coaches whose program is mostly workouts and nutrition logging | $0 for 5 clients; Pro from $19/mo | Yes (no course builder) |
| Teachable | A first standalone weight loss course | $39/mo ($29/mo annual) plus 7.5% fee | No |
| Podia | A simple storefront for a course, downloads and sessions | $49/mo ($42/mo annual) plus 5% fee | No |
| Systeme.io | Testing a mini course on almost no budget | $0 free plan | No |
How did we choose these seven platforms?
We started from what a weight loss client does each week, not from feature lists. Each platform had to deliver a structured course, and we then scored it on four things: whether the client's lessons, habits, check-ins and coaching messages sit in one app; whether the coach can see between-session activity such as missed check-ins; the realistic monthly cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients including transaction fees; and how much setup work stands between signing up and launching.
Vendor prices, limits and fees come from each vendor's pricing page as listed in October 2026. We did not test these products hands-on; where we describe limits, they are what the vendors document or what their published plan details show. Trustpilot ratings, where mentioned, were seen in October 2026.
1. Coachful: the whole weight loss program in one app

Coachful is a coaching platform that combines courses with the parts of weight loss coaching that courses usually leave out: multi-week programs, daily habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars, nutrition targets, measurements and booking. Your client opens one branded app and finds this week's lesson, today's habits, their check-in and their next call together.
What Coachful is, in short: one subscription that covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than single sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six separate tools. It is not HIPAA-certified, it does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, it has no PayPal option, and it is not a course marketplace. You start with a free trial, and the team will build your first site, funnel, program or course outline for you at no charge.
How courses and programs work together
The course builder handles modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking. You can also deliver downloads, videos, books and bundles into the client's branded home. Courses can sell on their own or sit inside a program, which is where weight loss coaching gets its structure: weekly goals, daily tasks, habits and check-ins attached to the same weeks as the lessons. There are 48 course templates with quizzes and more than 40 ready-to-film program templates, so you are editing rather than starting from a blank page.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered:
Between-session delivery that a plateau needs
Clients log habits with streaks, answer morning and evening check-ins, and see goals fill up as they progress. On your side, each client record collects goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, and labels the client as thriving, active, quiet or at risk. That status is the early warning for the week-five plateau: a client who drifts to "quiet" gets a message from you while there is still momentum to save.

The Fitness & Nutrition pack adds what a weight loss program needs beyond lessons: nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins and challenges. It also includes a workout builder with an illustrated exercise library, client workout logging, and private form-check video with timestamped coach comments. Coachful does not supply stock exercise videos; you attach your own demos. Set calorie and macro targets only where your training and local rules allow; for clients with medical conditions, those numbers belong to their doctor or dietitian.

Selling the course and the coaching
Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps and coupons. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call, which is a good home for your scope and referral policy. The section-based website builder, booking, application and lead-magnet funnels, and email sequences with triggers and branching mean your free seven-day guide, your course checkout and your 12-week program upsell can run without a separate marketing tool. Community feeds, group chat and video events cover challenges and live Q&A, and cohort groups are created automatically when clients enrol in a program.
Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it can draft a program or an email sequence, summarise recorded sessions and brief you before calls. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create > We'll build it for you, you describe what you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos or existing course notes, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. It can be a website, a funnel, a program, a course outline and written material, an email sequence, a lead quiz or an event. One recent build went to a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing, who got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. Nothing gets invented: no fake testimonials, credentials or prices, and any gaps are left for you to fill. The service does not record videos, design logos or run ads. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Limits to know. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not the place for clinical records. Wearable sync is not available, so clients enter steps or weigh-ins themselves. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. Lower plans cap the number of clients; Pro is unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Coachful holds a Trustpilot rating of 4.5 from 21 reviews as seen in October 2026.
For the nutrition and workout side in detail, see Fitness & Nutrition in Coachful and the overview of Coachful as an online course platform for coaches.
2. Kajabi: a large course and membership business

Kajabi suits a weight loss coach who already has an audience and sells knowledge products at volume: a signature course, a paid community and a membership, all marketed from one site with funnels and email. It is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform, and it handles that marketing side well.
Where it fits this niche. If your model is "200 people buy a 10-week fat-loss course and join a paid community", Kajabi covers the storefront, checkout, lesson player, community and email follow-up in one place. Growth adds 500 AI credits and up to 11 admin users, which helps once a support team handles member questions.
Price as listed in October 2026: Basic $179/mo ($143/mo annual) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community and 0 AI credits; Growth $249/mo ($199/mo annual) with 50 products and 25,000 contacts; Pro $499/mo ($399/mo annual). Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic. Using another processor adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. The standard trial is 14 days.
Gaps for weight loss coaching. Kajabi has no habit tracking and no daily client check-ins. Coaching is delivered as products and communities, not per-client plans, so you cannot see that one client skipped three check-ins this week. There are no nutrition targets, measurements or progress photos, which pushes coaches toward a second app for the tracking side. The Basic contact cap of 2,500 can also bite a coach who runs a large free challenge. Kajabi's Trustpilot rating was 3.4 from 2,347 reviews as seen in October 2026.
Pick it over Coachful if you sell courses and memberships to a large audience with little one-to-one contact, and you are comfortable using a separate app for habits and progress tracking.
3. Thinkific: polished self-paced lessons

Thinkific is a dedicated course platform with communities, memberships and coaching or webinar products. For a weight loss coach, it is a strong home for a well-produced self-paced program that many people buy and complete on their own.
The weight loss use case. Think of a six-module "sustainable fat loss" course with quizzes, downloadable meal planners and a community for questions. The Start plan already allows 10,000 current students, one community with 10 spaces and five live community events, which covers a group challenge.
Listed pricing, October 2026: Start $109/mo ($82/mo annual); Grow $219/mo ($164/mo annual); Expand $499/mo ($374/mo annual); Plus by quote. Thinkific raised prices by about 10% on August 13, 2026. Every self-serve plan has a 30-day free trial. Thinkific charges no transaction fee when you use Thinkific Payments; third-party gateways carry an extra per-plan fee that the page does not quantify.
Trade-offs. Thinkific has no built-in one-to-one scheduling; coaching relies on external booking links. It has no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans, and no nutrition tracking. A branded mobile app is a $199/mo add-on, which matters in a niche where clients log on their phones several times a day. Its Trustpilot rating was 1.8 from 868 reviews as seen in October 2026.
Pick it over Coachful if your business is mainly self-paced courses for a large student base, and coaching is an occasional add-on rather than the core product.
4. Everfit: training and nutrition logging first

Everfit is a fitness coaching app built around workouts, habits, nutrition and messaging, priced by client count. It is not a course platform in the usual sense, but weight loss coaches whose program is mostly "follow this training plan and log your food" often look at it.
Why it lands on this list. It covers the daily tracking side that Kajabi, Thinkific and Teachable lack: habits, workout logging and nutrition. For a coach who teaches mainly through short videos in the program and message threads, that may be enough.
Cost as listed in October 2026: Starter is free forever for up to 5 clients. Pro starts at $19/mo ($16/mo annual) for 5 clients and scales by client count: $29 for 10, $49 for 20, $95 for 50 and $140 for 100 (monthly). Studio starts at $105/mo for 50 clients. There is a 30-day free trial with no credit card. Transaction fees are not shown on the pricing page.
Where it falls short for course sellers. There is no course builder, no website or funnels and no email marketing, so selling a course to cold traffic needs other tools. Automation (Autoflow), payments and meal plans are paid add-ons, so the real monthly figure is higher than the headline tier. Everfit's Trustpilot rating was 2.7 from 16 reviews as seen in October 2026.
Pick it over Coachful if your offer is closer to personal training than to a course, you want to start your first five clients on a no-cost tier, and you already have a website and email tool you like.
5. Teachable: a first standalone course

Teachable is a course and digital-product platform with student mobile apps. It is a reasonable place to launch a first weight loss mini course, such as a three-lesson "reset your evenings" course used as a paid lead magnet.
How it serves weight loss coaches. Lessons, quizzes and digital downloads like a printable habit tracker or grocery list are straightforward to set up, and the student apps let buyers watch lessons on their phones. If you want help deciding on course size, our guide to mini courses versus signature courses walks through that choice.
Plans as listed in October 2026: Starter $39/mo ($29/mo annual) with 5 products and a 7.5% platform fee; Builder $89/mo ($69/mo annual) with 10 products and 0% platform fee; Growth $189/mo ($139/mo annual) with 50 products and 5 admins. Teachable Payments processing for US cards is 2.9% + 30 cents. Plan cards show a 7-day free trial plus a 30-day guarantee.
What you would still need. Teachable has no native scheduling or calendar sync, so coaching calls rely on separate booking and video tools. It has no habits, daily check-ins, per-client plans or nutrition tracking. On Starter, the 7.5% fee on an example $300 course sale is $22.50, which adds up quickly once you sell more than a few courses a month. Teachable's Trustpilot rating was 3.3 from 1,110 reviews as seen in October 2026.
Pick it over Coachful if you only want to sell a standalone course right now, with no coaching, habits or check-ins attached.
6. Podia: a simple storefront

Podia is a simple storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and community. Weight loss coaches who want one tidy page that sells a course, a recipe ebook and a paid call tend to like how little setup it needs.
Fit for weight loss coaches. A coach can list a self-paced course, a downloadable meal-prep guide and a community space for a monthly challenge side by side. Podia's 14-day trial gives full access with no credit card or plan selection.
October 2026 list prices: Mover $49/mo ($42/mo annual) with a 5% Podia fee; Shaker $99/mo ($84/mo annual) and Earthquaker $179/mo ($150/mo annual) with 0% Podia fee. Stripe or PayPal processing applies on top. Email subscribers included are small: 100 on Mover, 500 on Shaker and 1,000 on Earthquaker.
Watch-outs. Those email allowances are tight for a niche that relies on free challenges and nurture sequences to fill programs. Podia has no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans, and older profile data notes no mobile app and no native video calls. Podia's Trustpilot rating was 4.1 from 153 reviews as seen in October 2026.
Pick it over Coachful if you want the simplest possible shop for a course and a few digital products, and you deliver all coaching outside the platform.
7. Systeme.io: the lowest-cost test

Systeme.io is a low-cost all-in-one marketing suite with funnels, email, courses, community, a blog and an affiliate program. Its free plan makes it a sensible place to test whether a weight loss mini course sells before committing to a monthly bill.
Weight loss angle. A coach can build an opt-in page for a free "seven days of simple dinners" guide, an email sequence, and a low-priced course behind a checkout page, then see whether people buy. If the idea works, the next step is usually a coached program on a platform that tracks clients.
Pricing as listed in October 2026: Free $0/mo with 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course and 500 students; Startup $17/mo with 5,000 contacts and 5 courses; Webinar $47/mo; Unlimited $97/mo. Systeme.io charges 0% transaction fees on every plan, including the free one; Stripe or PayPal processing applies.
Where it stops. There is no native one-to-one scheduling with client records, no habits and no check-ins. Course and community features are basic, and older profile data notes no branded mobile app. Systeme.io's Trustpilot rating was 4.9 from 8,696 reviews as seen in October 2026.
Pick it over Coachful if your budget is close to zero and you want to validate a mini course offer before you coach anyone through it.
How do the features compare side by side?
The split is clear: course platforms teach but do not track, fitness apps track but do not teach or sell, and only one platform here does both.
| Platform | Course builder with drip | Habits and daily check-ins | Nutrition targets, measurements, photos | 1:1 booking | Community | Website, funnels and email | Platform transaction fee on entry plan |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Yes | Yes | Yes (Fitness & Nutrition pack) | Yes, with calendar sync | Yes, plus auto cohort groups | Yes | 0% |
| Kajabi | Yes | No | No | Coaching sold as products | Yes (1 on Basic) | Yes | 0% with Kajabi Payments; 2% extra with other processors |
| Thinkific | Yes | No | No | External booking links | Yes (1 on Start) | Course storefront | 0% with Thinkific Payments |
| Everfit | No | Yes | Nutrition yes; meal plans are an add-on | Not on our list | Not on our list | No | Not shown |
| Teachable | Yes | No | No | No native scheduling | Not on our list | Course storefront | 7.5% on Starter |
| Podia | Yes | No | No | Sells sessions; no native video calls | Yes | Storefront and small email allowance | 5% on Mover |
| Systeme.io | Yes (basic) | No | No | No native 1:1 scheduling | Yes (basic) | Yes | 0% |
"Not on our list" means the feature was not part of the vendor details we verified, not that it is necessarily missing.
What does each platform cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?
For most weight loss coaches, the cheapest headline plan is not the cheapest stack, because course-only tools need a second app for habits and tracking and a booking tool for calls. The table shows the lowest listed monthly plan that covers each client count, before payment processing.
| Platform | 5 clients | 15 clients | 40 clients | What else you would pay for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Payment processing only; AI credits for confirmed AI builds |
| Kajabi | $179/mo (Basic) | $179/mo (Basic) | $179/mo (Basic) | Habit and nutrition tracking app; booking tool |
| Thinkific | $109/mo (Start) | $109/mo (Start) | $109/mo (Start) | Booking tool; tracking app; $199/mo branded app add-on if wanted |
| Everfit | $0 (Starter) or $19/mo (Pro) | $49/mo (Pro, 20-client tier) | $95/mo (Pro, 50-client tier) | Course platform, website and email; payments, meal plan and automation add-ons |
| Teachable | $39/mo plus 7.5% fee, or $89/mo | $89/mo (Builder) | $89/mo (Builder) | Booking tool; tracking app |
| Podia | $49/mo plus 5% fee, or $99/mo | $99/mo (Shaker) | $99/mo (Shaker) | Tracking app; video calls; larger email allowance |
| Systeme.io | $0 (Free) | $0 to $17/mo | $17/mo (Startup) | Booking tool; tracking app |
Course platforms price by products and contacts rather than clients, so their figures do not change across the columns. Prices are monthly list prices in October 2026; annual billing is cheaper where offered. The "what else" column is where the real difference sits: a course-only setup plus a separate tracking app and a booking tool means three logins for your clients and three bills for you.
How would a weight loss coach set this up in Coachful?
Here is an example setup for a 12-week group program called "Steady Twelve" with a low-priced mini course in front of it. The names and numbers are illustrative.

- Request the build. Open Create > We'll build it for you and ask for a five-page site, a lead-magnet funnel for a free "seven simple dinners" guide, and a written outline for a three-lesson mini course. Attach your logo, a few photos and your existing notes. You record the videos yourself.
- Pick a calm website template. A wellness template such as Orchard keeps the focus on one action: book a free consult.
- Build the mini course. Start from a course template, set three lessons (plates, evenings, weekends), add a quiz to each, and drip one lesson every two days.
- Create the 12-week program. Each week gets a goal, a short lesson from your signature course, two or three daily tasks and one habit, for example "vegetables at lunch and dinner" in week two and "a 20-minute walk after dinner" in week four.
- Add check-ins. Use a morning check-in for sleep and energy and a weekly check-in for weight or waist measurement, plus an optional private progress photo.
- Set nutrition targets carefully. If your training covers it, add calorie or macro targets; otherwise use portion and habit goals. Flag in the intake form anything that needs a referral.
- Write the agreement. Include your scope statement and referral policy, and send it for e-signature before the first group call.
- Connect Stripe and price the offer. Offer the program as a one-time payment or a three-part payment plan, and use an order bump at the mini course checkout.
- Turn on the community. Enrolment creates the cohort group automatically; schedule a weekly live Q&A as a video event.
- Watch the statuses. Each Monday, filter for clients marked quiet or at risk and message them before the week-five slump becomes a dropout.

Clients then see their goal, linked tasks and habits in one view:

For the business side of the launch, see how to start a weight loss coaching business and our guide to creating an online course clients finish.
What mistakes should weight loss coaches avoid when choosing a course platform?
The most common mistake is choosing a platform for the launch day rather than for week five, when clients either keep logging or quietly stop. Others follow from that.
- Buying a video host and calling it a program. Completion rates on lessons say little about whether someone walked after dinner. Pick a platform that records the habit, not only the lesson.
- Splitting clients across three apps. Course in one tool, food logging in another, messages in a third: each extra login is a reason to drop off. Compare our list of habit tracking apps for weight loss coaches if you do need a separate tracker.
- Ignoring transaction fees. A 5% or 7.5% fee on entry plans costs more than a plan upgrade once your course sells regularly.
- Making progress photos public. Keep photos and measurements private between coach and client; use the group for wins people choose to share.
- Prescribing beyond your scope. A platform that supports calorie targets does not make you qualified to set them for a client with diabetes or a history of disordered eating. Refer out and write the policy down.
- Storing medical records in a non-HIPAA tool. If you work under a clinic or handle protected health information in the US, use the clinic's systems.
- Rebuilding everything yourself. Setup time is a real cost. If a platform offers to build your site or funnel, use it and spend your hours on recording lessons.
Which course platform should a weight loss coach choose?
Choose Coachful if you coach people through a program and want the course, habits, check-ins, nutrition targets, booking and payments in one app with your branding, with the first build done for you. Choose Kajabi or Thinkific if you sell self-paced courses to a large audience and coach rarely. Choose Everfit if your offer is really personal training with food logging and you already have a website. Teachable, Podia and Systeme.io suit a first standalone course on a smaller budget, with Systeme.io the cheapest way to test an idea.
For most weight loss coaches, results come from what clients do between lessons, so the platform should see that work. That is why Coachful is our first pick. If health coaching more broadly is your focus, the course platforms for health coaches and course platforms for nutrition coaches roundups cover neighbouring needs, and the Coachful for health coaches page shows the full feature set.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best course platform for weight loss coaches?
For coaches who sell a course and then coach clients through habits and check-ins, Coachful is our pick because it holds lessons, habits, check-ins, nutrition targets and booking in one app. For pure self-paced course sales to a large audience, Kajabi and Thinkific are strong alternatives. Systeme.io is the cheapest way to test a mini course.
Can I sell a standalone weight loss course without coaching?
Yes. Every platform on this list can sell a self-paced course on its own. In Coachful, a course can be sold by itself or placed inside a coached program, so buyers of the course can upgrade later without moving to another app.
Do I need a separate app for food logging and habits?
With Kajabi, Thinkific, Teachable, Podia or Systeme.io, usually yes, because none of them offer habits, daily check-ins or nutrition tracking. Coachful includes habits and check-ins, and its Fitness & Nutrition pack adds nutrition targets, meal plans, food lookup, barcode scanning, measurements and private progress photos.
Can clients sync Fitbit, Garmin or Apple Health with Coachful?
No. Coachful does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. Clients enter steps, weights and measurements themselves in check-ins.
Is Coachful HIPAA compliant for weight loss clients?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not suited to clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Coaches working inside a medical practice or handling protected health information should use the practice's own systems.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
From Create > We'll build it for you, you describe what you need, such as a website, a funnel, a program or a course outline, and attach up to 8 links and 10 files. The Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours, at no charge on every plan. It does not include recording videos, logo design or running ads.
When should a weight loss coach refer a client to a doctor or dietitian?
Refer out when a client mentions disordered eating, is pregnant, has diabetes or another condition that affects diet, is starting or changing weight-loss medication, or reports rapid unexplained weight change. Coaching supports behaviour change; diagnosis and treatment belong to licensed professionals. Write this policy into your coaching agreement and welcome lesson.
Which platforms charge transaction fees on top of their plans?
As listed in October 2026, Teachable Starter charges 7.5%, Podia Mover charges 5%, and Kajabi adds 0.5% to 2% when you use a processor other than Kajabi Payments. Systeme.io charges 0% on every plan. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.
Can I move my existing course from Kajabi or Teachable?
Yes. During Coachful onboarding, clients, programs and content are imported for you. Our guide to switching platforms without disrupting clients covers how to time the move around active cohorts.
Can I try Coachful before paying?
Yes, with a free trial. There is no permanent no-cost plan: plans are flat monthly prices, lower plans cap the number of clients, and monthly plans cancel in one click (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).
