ClickFunnels Review 2026: Strengths, Limits and Verdict

ClickFunnels Review 2026: Strengths, Limits and Verdict

This ClickFunnels review is for coaches deciding whether a funnel builder that starts at $97 a month should run their business. The short answer: ClickFunnels is one of the most complete tools for selling through funnels, with order bumps, one-click upsells, email, courses and a community under one login, and it charges no commission on sales. But it stops at the sale. It has no coaching agreements with e-signature, no client habits or daily check-ins and no structured 1:1 programs, so coaches who deliver ongoing programs usually end up paying for extra tools around it.

We make Coachful, a coaching platform that competes with ClickFunnels for part of this job, so we have kept the ClickFunnels facts to what the company lists on its pricing page (as listed in October 2026), what our September 2026 research profile recorded from its help center and feature pages, and what public reviewers report. We have not run a ClickFunnels account for this article. Where we recommend something else, we say why.

What is the quick verdict on ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels suits marketers and coach-entrepreneurs whose growth runs on traffic into a sales funnel. It is a weaker fit for coaches whose real work happens after someone pays.

  • Who it suits: coaches selling courses, challenges, webinars or high-ticket packages through paid ads and funnels, who want pages, checkout upsells, email and affiliates in one tool.
  • Who should skip it: coaches who mainly run 1:1 or small-group programs and need contracts, intake, session notes, habits and check-ins; coaches starting out on a tight budget; anyone who wants to move their pages elsewhere later.
  • Public rating: 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 2,512 reviews, seen on October 25, 2026. Our September 2026 profile also recorded 4.6 on G2 (417 reviews) and 4.5 on Capterra (666 reviews).
  • Price: Launch $97/month, Scale $197/month, Optimize $297/month, and Dominate at $5,997 a year (annual only), as listed in October 2026.
  • Bottom line: worth it if funnels are your business model; expensive and incomplete if coaching delivery is.

What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels is a sales funnel and landing page builder that has grown into an all-in-one marketing suite. Founded in 2014 and based in Eagle, Idaho, it made its name with the idea that a sequence of pages (opt-in, sales page, order form, upsell, thank-you) sells better than a single website.

The current product, ClickFunnels 2.0, replaced the original Classic version and restructured pricing into four plans: Launch, Scale, Optimize and Dominate. Today it bundles a website builder and blog, funnels, a checkout system called Payments AI, email marketing and workflows, courses, a community app, an online store, an appointments app, an affiliate center and AI writing tools with a monthly word allowance. Its tagline, "You're one funnel away from changing the world," describes how the whole product is organized.

For a coach, the important thing to understand is the direction of the product. Everything in ClickFunnels is built to move a stranger toward a purchase. Courses and communities exist so you have something to sell and a place to deliver it, but the tool does not model an individual client's progress, a coaching relationship or a program with daily tasks. If you want a deeper look at what it costs on each tier, our ClickFunnels pricing breakdown goes plan by plan.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

What does ClickFunnels do for each part of a coaching business?

ClickFunnels is strongest at marketing and selling, adequate at delivering courses and communities, and thin on client experience and coaching admin. Here is how it maps to the five jobs a coaching business runs every week.

Marketing: pages, funnels and email

This is where ClickFunnels earns its reputation. You get a drag-and-drop page editor, a library of funnel templates, A/B testing on pages, countdown funnels for time-limited offers, a website builder with a blog, opt-in forms and survey workflows. Email marketing, workflows and automations are included on every plan, with sending capped by plan: 50,000 emails a month on Launch, 300,000 on Scale, 750,000 on Optimize and 1.2 million on Dominate. Contact limits run from 10,000 on Launch to 400,000 on Dominate.

The October 2026 pricing page lists unlimited funnels on Launch, marked as a limited-time offer, so check whether that still applies when you sign up. Launch allows 5 custom domains; Scale and above allow unlimited domains. Scale also adds a custom code editor, webhooks and API access.

Honest note: for a coach running paid traffic to a webinar or a lead magnet, this is a mature, well-documented toolset. For a coach who gets clients through referrals and a simple booking page, much of it goes unused.

Selling: checkout, upsells and affiliates

Payments AI is ClickFunnels's Stripe-based checkout, and our September profile recorded Stripe and PayPal as supported processors as well. It handles one-time payments, subscriptions, order bumps and one-click upsells. ClickFunnels says it takes 0% commission on your sales; you pay only your processor's fees. An affiliate management center is included on all plans, which matters if you plan to let past clients or partners promote your offers.

The store app sells digital and physical products, with one store on Launch and five on Scale.

Honest note: the checkout and upsell flow is the single best reason to choose ClickFunnels. Our profile recorded no manual invoicing workflow, only order and receipt records, so coaches who bill corporate clients by invoice will need another tool.

Delivery: courses, community and appointments

ClickFunnels includes a course builder that can drip modules on a schedule, a community app and an appointments app with booking calendars. The catch is the caps: Launch allows 3 courses and 3 communities, Scale and Optimize allow 6 and 10 courses and communities, and Dominate allows 20. For a $97 tool, a three-course limit is tight if you sell a signature program plus a few smaller offers.

The appointments app syncs with Google Calendar; our profile could not verify Outlook or iCloud sync. There is no built-in video room, so sessions run on Zoom or Google Meet links through integrations.

What ClickFunnels does not have is a coaching delivery model. There are no habits, no morning or evening check-ins, no weekly goals per client and no progress view beyond course completion. A group cohort can be approximated with a community plus a course plus group appointments, but there is no dedicated cohort object. For contrast, this is what between-session delivery looks like in a coaching platform:

Coachful client habits dashboard with habit tracker cards and progress counts
Coachful's Growing Habits view with demo habits such as Morning Meditation (12/30) and Journaling (5/30).

Client experience: what your client logs in to

Your clients see a member area for courses and community. Our September profile found no dedicated member or course mobile app, and no portal where a client sees their documents, contracts, session history or goals in one place. ClickFunnels lists SMS messaging and two-way chat, which helps with follow-up, though our profile could not confirm per-message costs.

Honest note: for a course buyer, a clean member area is enough. For a coaching client paying for a three-month program, the experience feels like a course portal rather than a relationship.

Admin: team, contracts, data and support

Team seats scale with the plan: 2 team members on Launch, 5 on Scale, 10 on Optimize and 20 on Dominate, with 1, 5, 10 and 20 workspaces respectively. Scale adds priority and live chat support, Optimize includes a private one-hour onboarding call and Dominate adds three hours of onboarding, VIP support and FunnelFlix Platinum training. Our profile recorded GDPR consent tooling and no HIPAA support.

There are no coaching agreements with e-signature, no session notes tied to a client and no ICF hour tracking. For data portability, contacts export to CSV, but funnels and pages are proprietary and course content must be rebuilt if you leave (per our September 2026 profile).

How much does ClickFunnels cost in 2026?

ClickFunnels starts at $97 a month for Launch, or $81 a month billed annually, and rises to $5,997 a year for Dominate, as listed in October 2026. There is no free plan.

ClickFunnels states annual savings of $194, $394 and $594 a year on Launch, Scale and Optimize. The page mentions a 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. It does not say whether a card is required; our September profile noted that the help center says the card on file is charged after 14 days unless you cancel, so set a reminder if you trial it.

As an illustrative example of total cost, a coach on Launch billed monthly pays $1,164 a year before processing fees. If that coach also needs e-signature contracts, client check-ins and habit tracking, those come from separate subscriptions, because ClickFunnels does not include them. Moving up to Scale for webhooks, more courses or live chat support takes the monthly-billed total to $2,364 a year.

A coaching platform prices the problem differently. Coachful uses flat monthly plans sized by how many clients you coach (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients), and the booking, contracts, programs, check-ins, courses, community, website and funnels are included in your Coachful membership.

What do public reviewers praise and complain about?

Reviewers mostly praise ClickFunnels's support team and its funnel builder, and mostly complain about billing, cancellation and reliability. The rating is high (4.7 on Trustpilot from 2,512 reviews as of October 25, 2026), but the complaints cluster around the same few themes. The themes below come from our September 2026 research profile, which drew on Trustpilot, G2, Capterra and Better Business Bureau reviews; we paraphrase them.

What reviewers praise

  • Personal support sessions. Many Trustpilot reviews name individual support agents who walked them through their setup on live video calls. This is a big part of why the Trustpilot score is so high.
  • The funnel and checkout builder. Business software review sites rate it highly (4.6 on G2 and 4.5 on Capterra in September 2026), and the order bumps and one-click upsells are the features most associated with the product.
  • Everything under one login. Email, courses, community, appointments, affiliates and a store sit in one account, without connecting separate tools.

What reviewers complain about

  • Price. $97 a month is the entry point, and the 3-course and 10,000-contact caps on Launch push growing businesses toward $197 or more.
  • Bugs, slow pages and slow tickets. Reviewers on Capterra and elsewhere report glitches, slow load times and slow responses to support tickets, which sits oddly next to the praise for live sessions.
  • Cancellation. Reviewers describe a cancellation flow with retention pages and an offer of a paid pause plan at $17 a month instead of a clean cancel.
  • Trial billing and disputes. The help center says trials bill the card on file after 14 days, and billing disputes appear on the Better Business Bureau, including a large charge after cancellation and refused refunds.
  • Breadth over depth. Several reviewers find the community, appointments and CRM apps shallow compared with dedicated tools.

Read these patterns against your own use. If you will lean on support while building your first funnels, the praise is relevant. If you plan to cancel, downgrade or switch within a year, the billing complaints matter more. Either way, screenshot your plan and cancellation confirmation.

What are the pros and cons of ClickFunnels?

The main pro is a proven funnel and checkout system with no sales commission; the main con is that it does not cover coaching delivery or admin, and it is costly once you outgrow Launch.

Build your platform

Who is ClickFunnels best for?

ClickFunnels is best for coaches whose business is a marketing machine: paid ads into a webinar or a challenge, then a high-ticket offer with upsells. It is a poor fit for coaches whose value is the ongoing relationship.

It fits you well if:

  • You run, or plan to run, paid traffic and you need fast page testing, order bumps and upsells.
  • Your main products are courses, challenges, memberships or events, sold to many people at once.
  • You want an affiliate program so partners can promote your offers.
  • You already think in funnel terms and can absorb $97 to $297 a month as a marketing cost.

Skip it, or pair it with a coaching platform, if:

  • Most of your revenue comes from 1:1 or small-group coaching packages.
  • You need clients to sign an agreement, complete intake and log habits or check-ins between sessions.
  • You are pursuing ICF credentials and want hours tracked automatically.
  • You are new and want to start for less than the cost of Launch. Our guide on building a coaching sales funnel without ClickFunnels covers the simpler route.

Many coaches who start with ClickFunnels end up running two systems: ClickFunnels for the front of the business and a separate tool for the clients. That works, but you pay twice and your client data lives in two places.

What are the best ClickFunnels alternatives for coaches?

The best alternative depends on whether you need more coaching delivery, a lower price or a different marketing focus. For a longer comparison, see our best ClickFunnels alternatives for coaches.

We ranked these on one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build).

1. Coachful: best for coaches who deliver programs, not just funnels

Coachful is a coaching platform that covers what ClickFunnels does for the front of the business and what it leaves out after the sale. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients.

On the marketing side you get a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences support triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. About 25 funnel templates give you a starting point. Here is a short walkthrough of the funnels area:

Coachful funnels page listing a webinar funnel, a lead magnet funnel and a program launch funnel

Checkout runs through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so you pay only processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and stay on the client record.

The difference shows up after the sale. Coachful runs multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments, sessions and an AI briefing, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you can see who needs attention. Booking pages sync two ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendars and create Zoom, Meet or Teams links, or use built-in video. ICF credential tracking counts your coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose We'll build it for you, describe what you need (a website, funnel, sales page, program, email sequence or something else), attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake testimonials, credentials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent example: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Another, a somatic coach leaving Kajabi, had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the white-glove service.

Coachful Create page with the We'll build it for you card
The Create page in Coachful, where the We'll build it for you card starts a white-glove build request.

Where Coachful is not the right pick: it is not HIPAA-certified, it does not support PayPal, there is no permanent free plan, there are no third-party plugins, and the affiliate program records payouts manually rather than sending them. If your business is mostly high-volume paid traffic and you need deep funnel split-testing across many products, ClickFunnels has the longer track record there.

2. Kajabi: best for course and community businesses with a bigger budget

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. Basic costs $179 a month ($143 billed annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community and no AI credits; Growth is $249 a month and Pro is $499 a month, as listed in October 2026. Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% plus $0.30 on Basic, and using another processor (other than PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 0.5% to 2%. Trustpilot shows 3.4 from 2,347 reviews.

Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Like ClickFunnels, Kajabi has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins; coaching is delivered through products and communities rather than per-client plans. Pick it over Coachful if your business is mainly polished courses and a paid community and you want a large course-creator ecosystem.

3. Systeme.io: best for low-cost funnels and email

Systeme.io is a budget all-in-one marketing suite with funnels, email, courses, a community, a blog and an affiliate program. Its free plan includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels and 1 course, and paid plans run $17, $47 and $97 a month, with 0% transaction fees on every plan, as listed in October 2026. Trustpilot shows 4.9 from 8,696 reviews.

Our profile found no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, and the course and community features are basic. Our Systeme.io review has the detail. Pick it over Coachful if you only need funnels and email and want to spend as little as possible while you test an offer.

4. GoHighLevel: best for agencies and teams

GoHighLevel is an agency-first marketing CRM with funnels, websites, calendars, SMS and email, invoicing, contracts, courses and communities, built around sub-accounts. Starter costs $97 a month ($80.83 billed annually) with 3 sub-accounts, and Unlimited costs $297 a month, as listed in October 2026. SMS, email, phone and AI usage are metered on top, and HIPAA is a $297-a-month add-on. Trustpilot shows 4.9 from 15,250 reviews.

It has no habit tracking, client check-ins or structured coaching programs; you would simulate them with workflows and forms. See our GoHighLevel review. Pick it over Coachful if you run an agency or several brands and need sub-accounts, phone and SMS automation at scale.

5. Kartra: best for marketers who want a suite with a helpdesk

Kartra is an all-in-one marketing suite with pages, funnels, email and SMS, memberships, calendars and a helpdesk. Essentials costs $59 a month ($52 billed annually) but caps you at 500 contacts and charges a 5% transaction fee; Starter at $119 a month removes the fee and raises contacts to 2,500, as listed in October 2026. Trustpilot shows 3.2 from 129 reviews.

Kartra has no client habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans, and our profile notes that funnels and memberships are not portable. Pick it over Coachful if you want a ClickFunnels-style marketing suite with a built-in helpdesk and do not need coaching delivery tools.

6. Stan Store: best for selling from a link in bio

Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls. Creator costs $29 a month ($25 billed annually) and Creator Pro costs $99 a month, with 0% Stan fee on sales, as listed in October 2026. Email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates are only on Creator Pro. Trustpilot shows 4.7 from 2,205 reviews.

It has no contracts, invoices, client records or programs with tasks and check-ins. Our Stan Store review covers it in full. Pick it over Coachful if your audience lives on social media and you mainly sell low-priced products and one-off calls.

Coachful in brief: what it is and how to start

Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions: solo coaches growing into a small team and coaches replacing four to six separate tools. It combines booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and Michelle, a built-in AI assistant that works from your live practice data, with one login for you and your branding inside the Coachful app for clients.

Coachful's session calendar on a laptop and the client coaching hub on a phone
Coachful's monthly sessions calendar on a laptop beside the client's My Coaching hub with the next session on a phone.

What it does not do: it is not HIPAA-certified and not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing; there is no PayPal and no permanent free plan; the client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding; there is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync; and it has no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.

How to start: begin with a free trial, then request a build from Create so the team sets up your site, funnel or program inside your account. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and you can export all client data as a ZIP at any time. Compare plans on the plans page, browse the coach website builder and the coaching software overview, or read our full Coachful review. If you are new to coaching, start with Coachful for new coaches.

Is ClickFunnels worth it in 2026?

ClickFunnels is worth it if funnels are your business model and you will use its checkout, upsells and affiliate tools every week. It is not worth it as the main system for a coaching practice built on programs and relationships.

The product does what it promises at the front of the funnel, the 0% commission is real, and reviewers consistently praise the support team. Against that, the entry plan's 3-course and 10,000-contact caps, the lack of contracts, habits and check-ins, and the non-portable funnels mean a coach often pays $97 or more a month and still needs other tools. The billing and cancellation complaints are worth taking seriously before you start a trial.

If you want one system for marketing, selling and delivery, a coaching platform is the better fit. If you are set on running funnels, our guides on building coaching funnels without ClickFunnels and managing coaching funnels without ClickFunnels show the steps in another tool, and our comparison hub lines up the options.

Frequently asked questions

Is ClickFunnels good for coaches?

ClickFunnels is good for coaches who sell through funnels, webinars and courses, especially with paid ads. It is weaker for coaches who run 1:1 or small-group programs, because it has no coaching agreements, habits, check-ins or per-client programs.

How much does ClickFunnels cost in 2026?

As listed in October 2026, Launch is $97 a month ($81 billed annually), Scale is $197 ($164), Optimize is $297 ($248) and Dominate is $5,997 a year, annual only. Payment processing fees apply on top, but ClickFunnels takes no commission.

Does ClickFunnels have a free trial or free plan?

There is no free plan. ClickFunnels mentions a 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee; our September 2026 profile noted that the help center says the card on file is charged after 14 days unless you cancel.

Does ClickFunnels take a percentage of sales?

No. ClickFunnels says it takes 0% commission, so you pay only your processor's fees through Payments AI, Stripe or PayPal.

Can ClickFunnels handle coaching sessions?

Partly. Its appointments app offers booking calendars with Google Calendar sync, and sessions run on Zoom or Google Meet links through integrations. It has no built-in video, session notes per client or coaching agreements.

Can I move my funnels out of ClickFunnels?

Not directly. Contacts export to CSV, but funnels and pages are proprietary and course content has to be rebuilt elsewhere, according to our September 2026 profile. Plan your exit before you build dozens of pages.

What do reviewers complain about most?

The most common complaints are price, bugs and slow support tickets, a cancellation flow with retention pages and a paid pause plan, and charges after trials or cancellations. The most common praise is for personal support sessions and the funnel builder.

What is the best ClickFunnels alternative for coaches?

For coaches who deliver programs, Coachful is our pick because it covers funnels, checkout, booking, contracts, programs, habits and check-ins under one login. Systeme.io suits tight budgets, Kajabi suits course businesses, and GoHighLevel suits agencies.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

Every Coachful plan includes a free white-glove build: you describe a website, funnel, program, email sequence or other asset, attach references, and the team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.
