Systeme io Review (2026): Features, Pricing and Verdict

This systeme io review starts with the short answer. Systeme.io is one of the cheapest all-in-one marketing suites you can buy: a free plan that never expires, paid plans from $17 a month, 0% transaction fees and a long feature list covering funnels, email, courses, communities, a booking calendar and an affiliate program. For marketing jobs it gives a lot for the money. Where it stops is the coaching relationship itself. There is no per-client program with habits, daily check-ins or progress, no coaching agreements with e-signature, and no client record built around goals and sessions. If you sell courses and digital products, it is a strong pick. If you coach people week to week, you will be adding tools around it.
We make Coachful, a coaching platform, so we have a point of view. This review sticks to what Systeme.io documents on its own pricing and features pages (as listed in October 2026), what public reviewers report, and where a coaching-first tool fits better. We have not run a hands-on test account for this article.
What is the verdict on Systeme.io in one box?
Systeme.io is a good fit for coaches and creators whose business is mostly marketing and digital products, and a weak fit for coaches whose business is ongoing 1:1 or group delivery. Here is the verdict in one place before the detail.
| Question | Short answer |
|---|---|
| Who it suits | Course creators, info-product sellers, newsletter builders and early-stage coaches who want funnels, email and a course on a very small budget. |
| Who should skip it | Coaches who run multi-week programs, track client habits and check-ins, need signed agreements or want a branded client app. |
| Price | Free plan forever; Startup $17, Webinar $47 and Unlimited $97 per month, as listed in October 2026. |
| Transaction fees | 0% on every plan, including Free. Stripe or PayPal processing still applies. |
| Public rating | Trustpilot 4.9 out of 5 from 8,696 reviews, seen on 25 October 2026. G2 4.8 (744 reviews) and Capterra 4.8 (2,126 reviews) in September 2026. |
| Biggest strength | Price to feature ratio, especially the free plan with unlimited email sends. |
| Biggest gap for coaches | No structured client delivery: no per-client programs, habits, check-ins or coaching agreements. |
What is Systeme.io?
Systeme.io is an all-in-one online business platform that replaces a funnel builder, an email tool, a course host, a booking tool and an affiliate platform with one dashboard. Its features page says more than 500,000 entrepreneurs use it, and its pitch is simple: start at $0, pay more only when your list or catalogue grows.

The product is built around the marketing funnel. A visitor lands on an opt-in page, joins your list, gets tagged, receives an email sequence and is offered a product, with one-click upsells and order bumps along the way. Courses, communities, webinars and the booking calendar plug into that same funnel and automation system, so a purchase can enroll someone in a course and start a welcome sequence without Zapier.
The full feature list on the features page, as listed in October 2026: sales funnels, email marketing, website and blog builder, affiliate management, marketing automation, online courses, communities, a booking calendar, sub-accounts, physical products, SMS marketing, CRM pipelines, evergreen webinars, a creator store (a link-in-bio storefront) and white label. Systeme.io also lists a public API, a free migration service and free DNS setup in its footer.
One thing worth knowing up front: Systeme.io's FAQ says the feature set is the same on every plan and paid plans only raise limits. The pricing page, however, ties evergreen webinars to the Webinar plan and caps the free plan at one automation rule and one email campaign. Read the plan limits, not just the feature list.
What can Systeme.io do, job by job?
Systeme.io is strongest at marketing and selling, adequate at course and community delivery, and thin on the client experience that coaching depends on. Here is how each job looks, with honest notes for coaches.
| Job | What Systeme.io offers | Note for coaches |
|---|---|---|
| Marketing | Drag-and-drop funnels with templates, A/B split tests and countdown timers; websites and blog on a custom domain; unlimited email sends; SMS in automations; creator store | Strong. This is what the product is built for. |
| Selling | Checkout pages with one-click upsells and order bumps; Stripe and PayPal; physical products with variants and shipping; affiliate program with payouts; 0% platform fee | Strong for products and courses. No coaching agreements or e-signature. |
| Delivery | Courses with video lessons, downloads, drip schedules, module locking and progress tracking; communities with posts and comments; evergreen webinars | Fine for self-paced content. Communities and courses were basic in our September 2026 research. |
| Client experience | Booking calendar with confirmation emails and deposits or full payment at booking | No per-client programs, habits, check-ins or goal tracking. No branded client app in our September 2026 research. |
| Admin | Trigger-condition-action automations; Kanban CRM pipeline; sub-accounts; white label; public API | Good for marketing ops. Contact exports are CSV only; courses and pages are not bulk-exportable. |
Marketing: funnels, email and websites
Funnels are the core of Systeme.io. The features page describes a drag-and-drop editor with pre-made templates for opt-in, sales, webinar and launch funnels, plus A/B split testing and countdown timers. The website builder adds multi-page sites with a blog and a custom domain, and the free plan includes one blog and one custom domain.
Email is where the free plan is unusually generous: unlimited sends on every plan, broadcasts, automated sequences, tags and segments. Because the list lives inside the same system as your funnels and courses, a tag or purchase can trigger the next sequence automatically. The honest catch on Free is the limit of one automation rule and one email campaign, which is enough to test the product but not to run a real nurture system.
SMS sits in the same automation builder, so you can send a text when someone opts in or abandons checkout. The features page does not set out SMS costs, so check what you will pay per message before building around it.
Selling: checkout, upsells and affiliates
Systeme.io's checkout supports one-click upsells, order bumps and physical products with variants, inventory limits and shipping fees. Payments run through Stripe or PayPal, and Systeme.io takes 0% of sales on every plan, including Free. That is a real advantage over tools that charge a percentage on entry plans.
The built-in affiliate program lets you set commission rates, generate links, track referrals and manage payouts. For a coach with a course and a few partners promoting it, this saves buying a separate affiliate tool. What selling does not cover for coaches is the coaching agreement: there is no contract with e-signature to send before a first call.
Delivery: courses, communities and webinars
The course builder covers the essentials: modules, video lessons, PDF downloads, drip schedules, module locking and student progress tracking. The free plan includes one course and up to 500 students, according to the pricing page. Communities add a members-only space with posts, comments and member management, gated by purchase. Evergreen webinars let you pre-record a session and replay it on a schedule with registration and reminder emails.
For self-paced programs, this is enough. For a coaching program where each client has weekly goals, daily tasks and a coach reading their check-ins, it is not the right shape. Our September 2026 research also noted no live streaming, no gamification and no branded mobile app for students.
Client experience: booking and what comes after
Systeme.io now has a booking calendar. The features page describes it as working like Calendly but built in: clients pick a slot, get confirmation emails, and you can take a deposit or full payment at booking. That closes one of the gaps older reviews pointed out.
What it does not have is the layer that sits after the booking. There is no client record with goals, habits, check-ins, session notes and intake answers in one place, no status that tells you which clients are drifting, and no program a client works through day by day. If your coaching depends on what happens between sessions, you would need a separate client portal or coaching app alongside Systeme.io. Our guide to coaching session notes software covers what that layer usually includes.
Admin: automations, CRM and exports
Automations follow a trigger, condition and action model: a purchase, opt-in or course completion triggers actions such as sending an email, adding a tag, enrolling a student or moving a CRM deal. The CRM pipeline is a Kanban board with custom stages and automated follow-ups. Sub-accounts give agencies isolated workspaces, and white label lets you resell the platform under your own brand.
Exports are the weak point. In our September 2026 research, contacts exported to CSV through an emailed link valid for three days, and courses and pages could not be bulk-exported. If you build a large course library on Systeme.io, moving it later means rebuilding it.
How much does Systeme.io cost?
Systeme.io costs $0 on the free plan and $17, $47 or $97 a month on the paid plans, as listed in October 2026, with 0% transaction fees on all of them. Annual billing is advertised as "2 months free", though the yearly totals were not printed on the page in October 2026 (in our September 2026 research they were $170, $470 and $970 a year). The page shows "$" without naming the currency.

| Plan | Monthly price | Main limits | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, 500 students, 1 blog, 1 affiliate program, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule, 1 email campaign | Unlimited email sends; no credit card required |
| Startup | $17 | 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels, 5 courses | Higher limits |
| Webinar | $47 | 10,000 contacts, 50 funnels, 20 courses | Evergreen webinars |
| Unlimited | $97 | Unlimited contacts, funnels, courses and automation rules | No limits |
Two changes stand out compared with our September 2026 research. The Startup plan now shows a 10-funnel cap where it used to say unlimited, and the free plan now lists the 500-student, one-automation-rule and one-campaign limits explicitly. Monthly prices did not change. For the full breakdown, including how the contact limits play out as your list grows, see our Systeme.io pricing guide.

What does Systeme.io really cost a coach?
The sticker price is low, but a coach rarely runs on Systeme.io alone. Here is an illustrative example, not a quote. A coach on Startup at $17 a month who runs 1:1 programs would still need somewhere for agreements and e-signature, somewhere for client habits and check-ins, and possibly a client app. Each of those is a separate subscription and a separate login for the client. The total depends entirely on which tools you pick, so price the whole stack, not just the marketing layer.
That is the comparison that matters. Here is how entry and top plans line up across Systeme.io and the tools coaches most often weigh it against, as listed in October 2026.
| Platform | Entry plan | Top self-serve plan | Platform fee on sales | Free plan or trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | 0%; Stripe or Razorpay processing only | Free trial, then a paid plan |
| Systeme.io | Free $0; Startup $17/mo | Unlimited $97/mo | 0%; Stripe or PayPal processing | Free plan forever |
| Kajabi | Basic $179/mo ($143/mo annual) | Pro $499/mo ($399/mo annual) | Kajabi Payments 2.7% to 2.9% + $0.30; extra 0.5% to 2% with other processors | 14-day trial |
| GoHighLevel | Starter $97/mo | Agency Pro $497/mo | No platform fee; SMS, email and AI usage metered | 14-day trial |
| Kartra | Essentials $59/mo | Professional $549/mo | 5% on Essentials; 0% on Starter and Growth | 14-day trial |
| Podia | Mover $49/mo | Earthquaker $179/mo | 5% on Mover; 0% above | 14-day trial |
What do public reviewers praise and complain about?
Public reviewers mostly praise Systeme.io's price, its free plan and the convenience of having funnels, email and courses in one place, and their complaints cluster around the editor, technical issues and depth of the course and community features. Systeme.io holds a 4.9 on Trustpilot from 8,696 reviews (seen 25 October 2026), up from 8,424 in September 2026, and 4.8 on both G2 and Capterra in September 2026.
What reviewers praise
- Value for money. Positive reviews often mention the free plan, unlimited emails and 0% transaction fees compared with pricier suites.
- Everything in one dashboard. Reviewers like replacing a funnel tool, an email tool and a course host with one login and one bill.
- Easy to start. Templates and drag-and-drop editors make it approachable for people without technical skills, which matches how Systeme.io positions itself.
- Affiliate program built in. Course sellers value being able to run affiliates without another subscription.
What reviewers complain about
- The editor. Reviews on Capterra, summarised in our September 2026 research, describe the page builder as clunky in places and mention limited undo.
- Flexibility. Page building and automation are less flexible than premium tools, which matters once you want custom layouts or complex logic.
- Technical issues and support speed. Some users report recurring technical issues and slow resolution.
- Basic courses and communities. Our September 2026 research noted no live streaming, no gamification and no app.
- Exports and cancellation terms. Less a reviewer complaint than a fact worth knowing: contact export links expire after three days, and cancelling a paid plan does not refund the unused period; the account reverts to the free plan with data kept.
A 4.9 from thousands of reviews is a strong signal of satisfaction, but read it in context. Most of those reviewers are marketers and course sellers using Systeme.io for what it was designed to do. Few are coaches running week-to-week client programs, which is exactly where the product is thinnest.
What are Systeme.io's pros and cons?
The pros are price, breadth of marketing features and 0% fees; the cons are the missing coaching layer, basic delivery features and limited exports. Here they are side by side.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Free plan that never expires, no credit card required | Free plan allows only 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign |
| Paid plans from $17/mo with unlimited email sends | Startup now caps funnels at 10 and courses at 5 |
| 0% transaction fees on every plan | No coaching agreements or e-signature |
| Funnels, email, courses, community, webinars and booking in one place | No per-client programs, habits, check-ins or goal tracking |
| Built-in affiliate program with payouts | Courses and communities are basic; no branded client app in our September 2026 research |
| CRM pipeline, sub-accounts and white label | Courses and pages not bulk-exportable; contact export links expire after 3 days |
| Trustpilot 4.9 from 8,696 reviews | Some reviewers report a clunky editor and slow fixes for technical issues |
Who is Systeme.io best for?
Systeme.io is best for people whose business is mainly selling content and growing an email list on a tight budget. That includes:
- New coaches testing an idea. If you want a lead magnet, an email sequence and a sales page live this week for $0, Systeme.io does that well.
- Course and info-product sellers. Drip courses, order bumps, upsells and affiliates cover a typical digital product business.
- Newsletter-led businesses. Unlimited email sends on every plan is rare at this price.
- Agencies and consultants. Sub-accounts and white label suit people building funnels for several clients.
It is a weaker fit for coaches who deliver programs rather than products: business, life and health coaches running 12-week containers, accountability coaches who need daily check-ins, fitness coaches who log workouts and nutrition, and anyone working toward an ICF credential who needs coaching hours tracked. For those, the coaching layer is the product, and Systeme.io does not have one. Our Systeme.io alternative page sets out the switch in detail.
Why do coaches pick Coachful instead of Systeme.io?
Coaches pick Coachful when they want the marketing tools Systeme.io offers plus the client delivery it lacks, under one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. Coachful is a coaching platform built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six separate tools.

Here is what one subscription covers, and how it maps against the Systeme.io gaps above:
- Programs and between-session delivery. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks.
- Client records. Goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions on one record, an AI briefing per client, and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk.
- Booking. Booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links; email reminders plus SMS and WhatsApp once messaging is enabled; paid sessions and session credits.
- Payments and agreements. Your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons and refunds; coaching agreements with e-signature sent before the first call. 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026.
- Marketing. A section-based website builder with blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates; booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking; email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with branching and A/B splits.
- Courses and community. Courses with drip and completion tracking, a community feed, group chat, video events and cohort groups created automatically when someone enrolls in a program.
- AI help. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data to build programs, draft emails, summarise recorded sessions and brief you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds use AI credits.
- Credential tracking. ICF hour tracking counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports a client coaching log.

The difference shows most in what a client sees. In Systeme.io a client buys a course and logs into a course area. In Coachful the client opens their coach's branded home and app and sees their program, today's tasks, their habits and their next session together. This short walkthrough shows how a program is built and delivered:

On the coach side, the client dashboard shows who is on track and who has gone quiet, and the sessions calendar sits next to it rather than in a separate tool.

Coachful also covers the marketing jobs that bring most coaches to Systeme.io in the first place. Funnels, a coach website builder and email sequences are part of the same account, and about 25 funnel templates, 48 course templates and more than 40 program templates give you a starting point.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build something for you from Create, under "We'll build it for you". Describe what you need (a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, lead quiz, automation and more), attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos and brand guides, and the team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent example: a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had their homepage and About page rebuilt and their contact form connected. Another: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Read more about the free white-glove build service.

During onboarding, your clients, programs and content are imported for you, and you can export all client data as a ZIP at any time (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses), which is a meaningful difference from Systeme.io's CSV-only contact export.
What Coachful does not do. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not offer a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It has no PayPal and no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, no stock exercise videos, no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams, and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration. Its affiliate tracking records links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually rather than sent by Coachful, so if a large affiliate program is central to your business, Systeme.io's built-in payouts are an advantage.
How to start. Start a free trial, then use the free white-glove build to get your website, funnel or first program set up in your account. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. What are the best Systeme.io alternatives for coaches?
The best Systeme.io alternative for coaches is Coachful, followed by Kajabi, GoHighLevel and Kartra, depending on whether you need client delivery, a premium course business or agency-grade marketing automation. Ranked on one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort:
| Platform | Rank | Best for | Programs, habits and check-ins | Starting price | Trustpilot |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | 1 | Coaches who deliver programs and want marketing in the same account | Yes, built in | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | 4.5 (21 reviews) |
| Kajabi | 2 | Premium course, community and membership businesses | No | $179/mo | 3.4 (2,347 reviews) |

| Podia | 5 | Simple storefronts for courses and downloads | No | $49/mo | 4.1 (153 reviews) |
| Stan Store | 6 | Link-in-bio sales from social media | No | $29/mo | 4.7 (2,205 reviews) |
1. Coachful
Coachful is the pick when your coaching happens between sessions as much as in them. Programs, habits, check-ins, booking, agreements, payments, courses, community, website, funnels and email share one record per client, and the free white-glove build takes much of the setup work off your plate. Pick Systeme.io over Coachful if you mainly sell self-paced courses, want a plan you never pay for or rely on automated affiliate payouts.
2. Kajabi
Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for knowledge businesses. As listed in October 2026, Basic is $179 a month ($143 on annual billing) with 5 products and 2,500 contacts, Growth is $249 and Pro is $499. Kajabi Payments charges 2.7% to 2.9% plus $0.30, and other processors add a 0.5% to 2% Kajabi fee. It has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins; coaching is sold as products and communities. Pick it over Coachful if a polished course and membership business is the core of what you sell and client-level delivery is secondary.

3. GoHighLevel
GoHighLevel is an agency-first marketing CRM with funnels, websites, calendars, SMS and email, invoicing, contracts, courses and communities, organised around sub-accounts. Starter is $97 a month and Unlimited $297, as listed in October 2026, with SMS, email, phone and AI usage metered on top. There is no habit tracking, client check-ins or coaching program engine, and no built-in video rooms. Our GoHighLevel review and GoHighLevel pricing guide go deeper. Pick it over Coachful if you run an agency or need heavy SMS and pipeline automation across many brands.

4. Kartra
Kartra is an all-in-one marketing suite with pages, funnels, email and SMS, memberships, calendars and a helpdesk. Essentials is $59 a month but caps contacts at 500 and charges a 5% transaction fee; Starter at $119 raises contacts to 2,500, unlocks unlimited pages and drops the fee, as listed in October 2026. There are no client habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans. Pick it over Coachful if you want Systeme.io-style marketing with a helpdesk and are happy to handle client delivery elsewhere.

5. Podia and Stan Store
Podia (from $49 a month, 5% fee on Mover) is a simple storefront for courses, downloads, webinars and coaching sessions, with small email allowances. Stan Store (from $29 a month) is a link-in-bio store for digital products and paid calls, with email, upsells and affiliates only on the $99 plan. Neither offers client programs, habits or check-ins. Pick either over Coachful if you only need a lightweight way to sell from social media and have no ongoing client delivery.
If community is your main product, our Skool review and Circle review cover those platforms. If you are comparing coaching-specific tools, see the Paperbell review and the Practice Better review, or browse all platform comparisons.
Should you use Systeme.io as a coach?
Use Systeme.io if your coaching business is mostly marketing and digital products and every dollar counts; choose a coaching platform if your clients follow programs with you week to week. Systeme.io is honest value: a free plan that genuinely works, paid plans that undercut most suites, no transaction fees, and a 4.9 from 8,696 Trustpilot reviewers. Its limits for coaches are equally clear. It has no client record built around goals and check-ins, no coaching agreements, basic course and community features, and exports that make leaving harder than joining.
A sensible test: list the jobs you do each week. If most of them are writing emails, building pages and selling a course, Systeme.io covers you. If most of them are reviewing client check-ins, adjusting programs, booking sessions and following up after calls, you will spend your savings on extra tools and your time switching between them. That second group is who we built Coachful's coaching software for, and the free white-glove build means you do not have to set it up alone.
Frequently asked questions about Systeme.io
Is Systeme.io really free?
Yes. Systeme.io's free plan never expires and needs no credit card, as listed in October 2026. It includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 blog, 1 custom domain and unlimited email sends, but only 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign, so most growing businesses move to a paid plan.
Does Systeme.io take a cut of my sales?
No. Systeme.io charges 0% transaction fees on every plan, including Free. You still pay Stripe or PayPal processing fees on each payment.
Is Systeme.io good for coaches?
It is good for the marketing side of coaching: funnels, email, a website, a course and a booking calendar. It is weak on delivery, with no per-client programs, habits, check-ins or coaching agreements. Coaches who mostly sell content do well with it; coaches who run ongoing client programs usually need more.
Does Systeme.io have scheduling?
Yes. Its features page lists a built-in booking calendar where clients pick a slot, get confirmation emails and can pay a deposit or the full fee at booking. It does not connect bookings to a client record with goals, notes and check-ins.
Can I track client habits and check-ins in Systeme.io?
Not natively. Systeme.io tracks course progress, tags and CRM stages, but it has no daily habits, morning or evening check-ins, or per-client goals. Coachful includes these in programs, alongside booking, payments and marketing.
How hard is it to leave Systeme.io?
Contacts export to CSV through an emailed link that stays valid for three days, according to our September 2026 research. Courses and pages could not be bulk-exported, so they need rebuilding elsewhere. Cancelling a paid plan returns you to the free plan with your data kept, without a refund for the unused period.
How is Systeme.io rated by reviewers?
Systeme.io has a 4.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 8,696 reviews, seen on 25 October 2026. In September 2026 it held 4.8 on G2 (744 reviews) and 4.8 on Capterra (2,126 reviews). Praise centres on price and simplicity; complaints mention the editor, technical issues and basic course features.
Is Systeme.io better than Kajabi?
On price, clearly: Systeme.io's top plan is $97 a month, while Kajabi starts at $179, as listed in October 2026. Kajabi offers a more polished course, community and website experience. Neither has per-client habits or check-ins, so coaches who need those should look at a coaching platform.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a build service included on every Coachful plan. You describe what you want (a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence and more), attach links and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.
What does Coachful not do that Systeme.io does?
Coachful has no PayPal, every plan is paid once the trial ends, and its affiliate payouts are recorded manually rather than paid out automatically. Systeme.io offers a free plan, PayPal through checkout and built-in affiliate payouts, plus physical product sales and white label.
