HoneyBook Pricing in 2026: Plans, Fees and What Coaches Pay

As listed in October 2026, HoneyBook pricing starts at $29 a month for Starter, $49 for Essentials and $109 for Premium, all billed annually. Billed month to month, Essentials is $59 and Premium is $129; the pricing page no longer shows a monthly price for Starter. On top of the plan, HoneyBook processes your client payments itself: 1.5% for ACH bank transfers and a card rate the page lists as either 2.7% + 10¢ or 2.9% + 25¢, depending on which part of the page you read.
For a coach, the subscription is the smaller part of the bill. HoneyBook handles the business paperwork of a practice: inquiries, proposals, contracts, invoices and, from Essentials up, a scheduler. It does not deliver coaching, so programs, courses, habits, check-ins and a client community live in other tools you pay for separately. This guide covers every plan and fee, works through what a solo coach, an established coach and a small team actually pay, and prices HoneyBook against four alternatives. We make Coachful, one of those alternatives, so we have kept every HoneyBook figure to what HoneyBook's own pricing page states.
How much does HoneyBook cost in 2026?
HoneyBook costs $348 to $1,548 a year before payment fees, depending on the plan and how you pay. Here is the whole picture in one list, as listed on HoneyBook's US pricing page in October 2026.
- Starter: $29 a month billed annually ($348 a year). Unlimited clients and projects, 2 live lead forms. No scheduler and no automations.
- Essentials: $49 a month billed annually ($588 a year) or $59 billed monthly ($708 a year). Up to 2 team members, 10 lead forms, the scheduler, automations and QuickBooks Online.
- Premium: $109 a month billed annually ($1,308 a year) or $129 billed monthly ($1,548 a year). Unlimited team members and lead forms, multiple companies, priority support.
- Free plan: none.
- Free trial: 30 days, no credit card required, according to the pricing page FAQ.
- Payments: HoneyBook Payments only. ACH 1.5%; cards 2.7% + 10¢ or 2.9% + 25¢ (the page shows both); instant deposit 1%.
- Guarantee: 60-day money-back guarantee.
Prices are in US dollars. HoneyBook also runs time-limited promotions, with 25%, 40% and 50% discounts appearing at different times, so the number you see on a given day can sit below these list figures.

What are HoneyBook's plans and prices?
HoneyBook has three paid plans, and none of them caps the number of clients or projects. What changes between tiers is the number of lead forms, the number of team members and whether you get the scheduler and automations.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually, per month | Per year on annual billing | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Not shown (our September 2026 records: $36) | $29 | $348 | Unlimited clients and projects; 2 live lead forms |
| Essentials | $59 | $49 | $588 | Up to 2 team members; 10 lead forms |
| Premium | $129 | $109 | $1,308 | Unlimited team members; unlimited lead forms; multiple companies |
The page leads with the annual-billing figures. The $59 and $129 monthly prices appear struck through as "25% off" reference prices, so the annual rate reads like a sale when it is the standard price for committing to a year. Starter's monthly price is not on the page at all; our September 2026 profile of HoneyBook recorded it at $36 a month, which would make annual billing worth $84 a year on that plan.

What does each HoneyBook plan add?
Starter covers proposals, contracts and invoices; Essentials adds the scheduler and automations most coaches need; Premium adds unlimited team members and lead forms.
Starter: the paperwork, without booking
Starter includes invoices and payments, proposals and contracts, a calendar, templates, a client portal, basic reports and HoneyBook AI, with unlimited clients and projects and 2 live lead forms. For a coach, that covers the money side of a package: you can send a proposal, a contract and an invoice for a 12-week engagement and collect payment through HoneyBook.
What Starter does not include is the scheduler. HoneyBook lists the scheduler and automations from Essentials up, so a coach who wants clients to book discovery calls or sessions inside HoneyBook needs Essentials, or a separate scheduling tool beside Starter. That makes $29 the entry price for HoneyBook, but not the entry price for a coach who books sessions.
Essentials: the plan most coaches land on
Essentials adds the scheduler, automations, QuickBooks Online, SMS reminders, removal of the "Powered by HoneyBook" branding and standard reports. It raises the lead-form limit to 10 and allows up to 2 team members. If you run discovery calls, want reminders to go out without you, or keep your books in QuickBooks Online, this is the realistic starting plan.
Premium: teams and multiple brands
Premium removes the caps: unlimited team members, unlimited lead forms and multiple companies under one account. It also adds priority support and advanced reports. Multiple companies matters if you run two brands, for example executive coaching and a separate speaking business. Premium accounts processing more than $500,000 a year may also qualify for discounted payment rates.
What no HoneyBook plan adds for coaches
None of the three plans includes coaching delivery: no multi-week programs, no courses, no habit tracking, no daily or weekly check-ins and no client community. HoneyBook is a client-management CRM for service businesses, and that is the job it is built for. What happens after the client signs and pays, the coaching itself, needs another tool.
What fees does HoneyBook charge beyond the subscription?
The main extra cost is payment processing, because HoneyBook is the processor and you cannot bring your own. Smaller fees apply to instant deposits, and the real "seat" cost is moving up a tier.
| Fee | Rate as listed in October 2026 | When it applies | What to watch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Card processing | 2.7% + 10¢ (pricing FAQ) or 2.9% + 25¢ (plan comparison) | Every card payment a client makes | The page conflicts; get your rate in writing |
| ACH bank transfer | 1.5% | Every bank payment | Cheaper than cards on large packages |
| Instant deposit | 1% | Optional, when you want funds faster | Easy to switch on and forget |
| Discounted processing | Not published | Premium accounts over $500,000 a year may qualify | Not relevant to most solo coaches |
| Extra team members | No per-seat fee listed | Essentials allows up to 2; Premium is unlimited | A third login means the Premium price |
| Client or project overages | None | Clients and projects are unlimited on every plan | Lead forms are capped at 2 and 10 on lower plans |
| Onboarding specialist and file setup | No charge | First 90 days | Use it before the window closes |
Processing: the cost that grows with you
On a $3,000 coaching package paid by card, HoneyBook's fee is $87.25 at 2.9% + 25¢ or $81.10 at 2.7% + 10¢. The same package paid by ACH costs $45. Because the page shows two card rates, ask HoneyBook which one applies to your account before you move clients over; across a year of payments the gap adds up.
Processing exists on every platform, so it is not a HoneyBook penalty in itself. The difference is choice. HoneyBook Payments is the only processor, covering cards and ACH, so you cannot connect your own Stripe account or offer PayPal through it, and you cannot move to a cheaper rate without moving platforms. If you are a US sole proprietor, the subscription and processing fees are business costs you would track for Schedule C, the IRS form that reports your business profit or loss. How each cost is treated varies, so check with an accountant.
Add-ons and financial products
HoneyBook lists a few optional extras around payments: instant deposit at 1%, HoneyBook Capital loans based on eligibility, and a HoneyBook Balance checking account. None is required to use the software. The onboarding specialist and free file setup in your first 90 days is worth booking early if you are moving templates and clients from another tool.
Overages and seats
There are no client overages, which is a real strength: a coach with 8 clients and a coach with 80 pay the same subscription. The limits that push you up a tier are lead forms (2 on Starter, 10 on Essentials) and team members (up to 2 on Essentials). A practice with an associate coach and an assistant who both need logins is already at the Essentials limit, and the next person moves the account to Premium.
What does a coach actually pay for HoneyBook?
A solo coach on Essentials pays about $123 a month all in at the example revenue below, an established coach about $314 and a small team about $815, before the other tools a coaching practice still needs. Processing, not the subscription, is most of that bill.
The three examples assume one card payment per client per month at the higher listed card rate. The revenue figures are examples, not benchmarks; swap in your own numbers, and if you are still setting fees, our guide to pricing coaching packages walks through it.
| Cost line | Solo coach, 5 clients | Established coach, 15 clients | Small team, 4 logins, 40 clients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful (one subscription for booking, payments, contracts, delivery, website and email; Stripe or Razorpay processing on top) | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Team plan with coach seats (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients) |
| Example revenue collected | $2,500 a month from 5 payments | $9,000 a month from 15 payments | $24,000 a month from 40 payments |
| HoneyBook plan needed | Essentials (for the scheduler) | Essentials | Premium (more than 2 team members) |
| HoneyBook subscription, annual billing | $49 a month | $49 a month | $109 a month |
| Card processing at 2.9% + 25¢ | $73.75 a month | $264.75 a month | $706.00 a month |
| Card processing at 2.7% + 10¢ | $68.00 a month | $244.50 a month | $652.00 a month |
| HoneyBook total at the higher card rate | $122.75 a month ($1,473 a year) | $313.75 a month ($3,765 a year) | $815.00 a month ($9,780 a year) |
| Still needed beside HoneyBook | A website, a newsletter tool and somewhere to deliver the coaching | The same, plus courses or a client community if you sell them | The same, plus a shared place where every coach delivers programs and tracks client progress |
Two things stand out. First, processing is 60% of the solo coach's HoneyBook bill and about 84% of the established coach's, so the card rate you are given matters more than the plan you pick. Second, the HoneyBook line is not the whole stack: none of the three plans lists a website builder, course hosting or a community. If you send a newsletter, budget for a separate email marketing tool unless HoneyBook's automations cover what you send.
When you price the alternative, compare like with like: HoneyBook plus your website, email, course and community tools on one side, and a single coaching platform plus its processor fees on the other. Our coaching pricing audit has a simple way to list every tool you pay for.

What hidden costs and gotchas should coaches watch for?
The biggest surprise for coaches is that the cheapest plan has no scheduler, and the second is that HoneyBook's own page shows two different card rates. The rest of the list is smaller but worth checking before you commit for a year.
- Starter has no booking. The $29 headline price does not include the scheduler or automations. For a coach who books calls, the working entry price is Essentials at $49 a month on annual billing.
- The advertised prices assume a year up front. Monthly billing is $10 a month more on Essentials and $20 more on Premium, and Starter's monthly price is not shown.
- Two card rates on one page. The FAQ says 2.7% + 10¢ and the plan comparison says 2.9% + 25¢. For the established coach in the example above, that is a $20.25 monthly difference.
- Payments are locked in. HoneyBook Payments is the only option, so you cannot use your own Stripe account or PayPal, and switching processors means switching platforms.
- Promotions end. The page runs time-limited discounts. If you sign up during one, ask what you will pay at renewal.
- Prices have risen before. HoneyBook raised its monthly prices in February 2025 (see the history below), so build some headroom into your budget.
- Branding on Starter. Removing "Powered by HoneyBook" is an Essentials feature, so Starter clients see HoneyBook's name on what you send.
- Lead-form caps. Two live lead forms on Starter is tight if you run a discovery-call form, a waitlist and a workshop sign-up at the same time.
- Leaving is work. Contacts and clients export to CSV, but our September 2026 records note that smart files and templates do not export in a reusable format, so plan to rebuild proposals and contracts in the next tool.
- The delivery stack. Programs, courses, habits, check-ins and community are not in any plan, so their cost sits outside the HoneyBook bill.
If invoicing is the main reason you are looking at HoneyBook, our guide to invoicing coaching clients without HoneyBook covers the payment setups coaches use instead.
Has HoneyBook pricing changed since 2025?
Yes. In February 2025 HoneyBook raised its monthly prices from $19, $39 and $79 to $36, $59 and $129, according to our September 2026 profile. Annual-billing prices have held at $29, $49 and $109 since then.
| Plan | Monthly before February 2025 | Monthly after February 2025 | Monthly, October 2026 | Annual billing per month, October 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $19 | $36 | Not shown | $29 |
| Essentials | $39 | $59 | $59 | $49 |
| Premium | $79 | $129 | $129 | $109 |
Other changes since our earlier profile: the trial is now plainly 30 days with no card (it was 7 days as standard, with 30-day promotions), Starter now lists HoneyBook AI and the client portal, Essentials lists SMS reminders, and ACH at 1.5% now appears on the page. HoneyBook's Trustpilot rating moved from 4.0 out of 5 on 706 reviews to 4.1 on 748 reviews, as seen in October 2026.
Is HoneyBook worth it for coaches?
HoneyBook is worth it for coaches whose work is mostly proposals, contracts and invoices, such as executive coaches selling engagements to companies. It is a weaker fit for coaches who deliver programs, run groups or track habits between sessions, because they pay for HoneyBook and a delivery stack beside it.
| Coach type | HoneyBook fit | Plan you would likely need | What you would still add |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive or business coach selling to companies | Good: proposals, contracts, invoices and ACH suit corporate buyers | Essentials | A website, and delivery if you run programs |
| New solo coach selling sessions | Partial: the scheduler is not on Starter | Essentials | A website, a newsletter tool, session notes and follow-up |
| Program or package coach | Weak: no programs, habits or check-ins | Essentials | A program delivery app and course hosting |
| Group or cohort coach | Weak: no community or group space | Essentials | A community tool, course hosting and group calls |
| Health, wellness or fitness coach | Weak: no habit, workout or nutrition tracking | Essentials | A tracking app for habits, workouts or meals |
| Coaching team of three or more people | Workable: unlimited team members on Premium | Premium | Delivery tools for every coach on the team |
Executive and business coaches
This is HoneyBook's best case. A corporate buyer expects a proposal, a signed agreement and an invoice they can pay by bank transfer, and HoneyBook is built around all three. If your coaching happens in live sessions and you do not need a client app between them, Essentials may be all you need beside a website. If you also run leadership programs or cohorts, compare the stack on our page for executive coaches.
New coaches
A new coach usually needs booking, payments, a simple website and somewhere to keep notes. HoneyBook covers booking and payments from Essentials, but the website and the client side sit elsewhere. If you are starting from zero, our page for new coaches shows what a single setup looks like.
Program, group and cohort coaches
If your offer is a 12-week program, a membership or a cohort, the client's experience between sessions is the product. HoneyBook can sell it and collect payment, but it cannot deliver the weekly goals, check-ins or group space. That is where a coaching platform with group coaching software built in pays for itself in fewer logins.

Health, wellness and fitness coaches
Health and fitness coaching runs on daily habits, check-ins and progress tracking, none of which HoneyBook offers. Coaching is also not treatment: coach within behaviour change and accountability, and refer clients to a doctor, dietitian or licensed mental health professional when they describe symptoms, disordered eating or anything that needs diagnosis. If you need HIPAA compliance, ask any vendor for a business associate agreement in writing before you store health details. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA. See the setups on our pages for health coaches and fitness and nutrition coaching.

Public reviewers rate HoneyBook 4.1 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 748 reviews, as seen in October 2026. That reflects service businesses broadly, not coaches specifically, so weigh it against the fit table above.
How does HoneyBook pricing compare with the alternatives?
HoneyBook sits in the middle on price; what sets it apart is that you must use its own payment processor. We rank these on what a coach pays for the whole client journey: one login from booking to delivery, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort.
| Tool | Entry price | Typical plan for a 15-client coach | Unlimited or team plan | Payment processing | Trial | Coaching delivery |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account; 0% platform fee | A free trial | Programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community, website and email |
| HoneyBook | $29/month billed annually (Starter, no scheduler) | $49/month annually or $59 monthly (Essentials) | $109/month annually or $129 monthly (Premium, unlimited team) | HoneyBook Payments only: ACH 1.5%; cards 2.7% + 10¢ or 2.9% + 25¢ | 30 days, no card | None |
| Dubsado | $27.92/month annually or $35 monthly (Starter, 1 lead form, no scheduler) | $43.75/month annually or $55 monthly (Premier) | Premier is the top published plan | No Dubsado platform fee stated; your processor's rates apply | 21 days of Premier, no card | None |
| Practice Better | Free Sprout plan (3 clients); Starter $25/month annually or $35 monthly (10 clients) | Professional, $69 monthly (300 clients) | Plus $89/month annually or $99 monthly; Team $145 or $155 with 2 practitioners | Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe; rates not on the pricing page | 14 days (Team: 30 days) | Programs and courses, journaling, client portal |
| Bonsai | $9/month annually or $15 monthly per user (Basic, no invoicing) | $19/month annually or $25 monthly per user (Essentials) | Elite $49/month annually or $59 monthly per user, minimum 3 users | Bonsai Payments: cards 2.9% + 30¢, ACH 1% ($1 minimum), per its help center | 7 days | None |
HoneyBook, Dubsado and Practice Better figures are as listed in October 2026; Bonsai's payment rates come from its help center as recorded in our September 2026 profile. For a feature-by-feature view, see Coachful vs HoneyBook, or browse every matchup on our comparison hub.
Why is Coachful our pick for coaches comparing HoneyBook?
Coachful covers the same client path, from booking to signed agreement to payment, and then the coaching itself, in one subscription. So the fair comparison is one Coachful plan against HoneyBook plus the website, email, course and community tools beside it.
What Coachful is. A coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients.
Who it is for. Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing four to six tools.
What it does not do. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. There is no PayPal, and you get a free trial rather than a permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There is no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration, and QuickBooks is not among its listed integrations, which matters if you rely on HoneyBook's QuickBooks Online sync today.
How to start. Begin with a free trial, then request a free white-glove build from Create > We'll build it for you, and the team sets up your site, funnel or program inside your account. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.
Payments without a locked-in processor
Coachful works the opposite way to HoneyBook on payments. You connect your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, and since August 2026 Coachful takes a 0% platform fee, so the only payment cost is your processor's rate. Checkout handles one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with Stripe Tax, an invoice for every transaction and manual invoices for anything billed outside checkout. More detail is on our coaching payment software page.

This short walkthrough shows how invoices and payments work inside Coachful.
Booking on every plan
HoneyBook keeps its scheduler for Essentials and up. In Coachful, booking is included in your Coachful membership: booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links; email reminders, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp 1 hour before once messaging is enabled; paid sessions, session credits and intake questions on booking. See our scheduling software page for the full list.

Contracts before the first call
Coaching agreements go out with e-signature before the first session and are stored on the client record, next to goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions. HoneyBook includes contracts on every plan too; the difference is that in Coachful the signed agreement sits beside the coaching record rather than in a separate CRM. Our coaching contracts page covers the setup.

Delivery between sessions
This is what HoneyBook does not do. Coachful runs multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks, all inside the client's branded app. Courses, downloads, a community feed, group chat and video events sit in the same place, and cohort groups are created automatically when a client enrolls in a program. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data to build programs, draft emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before each call; questions and planning are included in the membership, while confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
Website, funnels and email
Coachful includes a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels, email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences. Those are the tools a HoneyBook coach would pay for separately. See the coach website builder page for templates.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the team to build things for you from Create > We'll build it for you: a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline and written material, an email sequence, a form, a link-in-bio page, a lead quiz and more. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, such as logos, brand guides and existing copy, and the team builds inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and any gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Recent builds include a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away, who got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button, and a business mentor for beauty professionals, who got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Read more about how the white-glove build works.

Coachful holds a 4.5 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot from 21 reviews, a much smaller sample than HoneyBook's. For a broader look at switching, see our HoneyBook alternative page.
Which other HoneyBook alternatives are worth pricing?
Dubsado is the closest like-for-like swap and costs less, Practice Better suits health practitioners who need HIPAA compliance, and Bonsai suits consultant-style coaches who bill by the hour. All prices below are as listed in October 2026 unless noted.
Dubsado: a cheaper version of the same job
Dubsado is a client workflow CRM with forms, contracts, invoices, a scheduler and automated workflows. Starter is $35 a month or $27.92 a month billed annually, with unlimited clients and projects but only 1 active lead-capture form and no scheduler or automations. Premier is $55 a month or $43.75 a month annually, with unlimited lead forms. The trial is 21 days with full Premier access and no card. Dubsado states no platform fee of its own; your processor's rates apply, and optional surcharging can pass card costs to the client.
Like HoneyBook, it stops at the paperwork. Dubsado says it does not include website building and is not an email marketing platform, its mobile app is a companion to the desktop web app, and there are no courses, community, habits or check-ins. Pick it over Coachful if you want a client-paperwork CRM that undercuts HoneyBook Essentials, and you already have delivery tools you are happy with.

Practice Better: for health practitioners
Practice Better describes itself as an all-in-one EHR for practitioners such as nutritionists, dietitians and health coaches. Its free Sprout plan covers 3 clients. Starter is $35 a month or $25 a month annually for 10 clients; Professional is $69 a month for 300 clients and adds fixed-date programs; Plus is $99 a month or $89 annually for unlimited clients, with evergreen and self-paced programs, portal branding and 750 SMS reminders a month; Team is $155 a month or $145 annually with 2 practitioner licenses, and up to 200 at $50 per practitioner. Paid plans have a 14-day trial, Team has 30 days, and the pricing page lists HIPAA, PIPEDA and GDPR compliance, with payments through Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe.
The client limits on the lower plans are the catch for growing practices, and the feature set leans clinical, with charting and insurance billing. Pick it over Coachful if you are a health practitioner who needs HIPAA compliance, clinical charting or insurance billing alongside your programs.

Bonsai: for consultants who bill by the hour
Bonsai is business management software for freelancers and agencies: proposals, contracts, invoices, time tracking and projects. Every plan is priced per user. Basic is $15 a month or $9 annually and has no invoicing or payments; Essentials is $25 or $19; Premium is $39 or $29; Elite is $59 or $49 per user with a minimum of 3 users. The trial is 7 days, and card details are not required to start. According to its help center, as recorded in our September 2026 profile, Bonsai Payments charges 2.9% + 30¢ on cards, 3.25% + 30¢ on Amex and 1% on ACH with a $1 minimum, and using your own Stripe or PayPal where Bonsai Payments is available adds a 1% platform fee.
Bonsai has no courses, community, client habits, check-ins or coaching programs, and its custom domain feature is marked as expected in 2026. Public reviewers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 641 reviews, as seen in October 2026. Pick it over Coachful if you work like a consultant, billing hours against projects, and need time tracking more than client delivery.

Paperbell and other coaching tools
Paperbell is another coaching-specific tool that coaches weigh against HoneyBook. We cover its plan in Paperbell pricing and compare the two directly in Paperbell vs HoneyBook. For a ranked list, see our top HoneyBook alternatives for coaches.
How can you pay less for HoneyBook?
Pay annually, pick the lowest plan that covers your booking and team needs, and push large invoices to ACH.
- Bill annually. It saves $120 a year on Essentials and $240 on Premium. Only do it after the trial has shown HoneyBook fits, because a year is a long commitment if your offer changes.
- Use the trial and the guarantee. The 30-day trial needs no card, and the 60-day money-back guarantee gives you a second window after you pay. Run a real client through proposal, contract, invoice and booking before the guarantee ends.
- Stay on Starter if you do not book through HoneyBook. If you already use a scheduler you like, Starter at $29 covers proposals, contracts and invoices.
- Steer big payments to ACH. On a $3,000 package, ACH at 1.5% costs $45 against $87.25 on a card at 2.9% + 25¢.
- Ask which card rate applies. The page shows 2.7% + 10¢ and 2.9% + 25¢. Get the answer in writing before you move clients over.
- Leave instant deposit off. At 1%, it costs $30 on a $3,000 payment. Use it only when cash flow truly needs it.
- Watch for promotions, then check renewal. HoneyBook runs 25%, 40% and 50% off offers at times. Ask what the price will be when the discounted term ends.
- Book the free onboarding specialist. File setup in the first 90 days saves hours of rebuilding templates yourself.
- Count the whole stack. The biggest saving is often cutting the tools beside HoneyBook. If you pay for a website builder, an email tool, a course host and a community app, compare that total with one coaching platform.
If you are reworking your own fees at the same time, our guides to hourly vs package pricing and value-based pricing help you set prices that cover your software and processing costs.
Frequently asked questions about HoneyBook pricing
How much does HoneyBook cost per month?
As listed in October 2026, HoneyBook costs $29 a month for Starter, $49 for Essentials and $109 for Premium on annual billing. Billed monthly, Essentials is $59 and Premium is $129; the page does not show a monthly Starter price. Payment processing is extra on every plan.
Does HoneyBook have a free plan or a free trial?
There is no free plan. HoneyBook offers a 30-day free trial with no credit card required, according to its pricing page FAQ, and a 60-day money-back guarantee after you start paying.
What are HoneyBook's payment processing fees?
ACH payments cost 1.5%. For cards, the pricing page FAQ says 2.7% + 10¢ while the plan comparison says 2.9% + 25¢, so confirm your rate with HoneyBook. Instant deposit costs 1%, and Premium accounts processing more than $500,000 a year may qualify for discounted rates.
Can I use Stripe or PayPal with HoneyBook?
No. Payments run through HoneyBook Payments, which accepts cards and ACH, so you cannot connect your own Stripe account or take PayPal through HoneyBook. That also means you cannot shop around for a lower processing rate without changing platforms.
Does HoneyBook charge per team member?
No per-seat fee is listed. Essentials allows up to 2 team members and Premium allows unlimited team members, so the cost of adding people is the jump from $49 to $109 a month on annual billing.
Is HoneyBook good for coaches?
It is good for the business side: proposals, contracts, invoices and, from Essentials, booking. It does not deliver coaching, so programs, courses, habits, check-ins and community need other tools. Executive and business coaches who sell engagements to companies get the most from it.
Can I export my data if I leave HoneyBook?
Contacts and clients export to CSV. Our September 2026 records note that smart files and templates do not export in a reusable format, so plan to rebuild proposals and contracts. If you move to Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.
How does Coachful handle payment fees?
Coachful connects to your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account and, since August 2026, takes a 0% platform fee, so your only payment cost is the processor's rate. Payment plans, subscriptions, coupons, refunds and Apple Pay or Google Pay are included in your Coachful membership.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence or form for you from Create > We'll build it for you. You attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented, and it does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.
Is Coachful HIPAA compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Health coaches who need HIPAA compliance should look at a practitioner tool such as Practice Better, which lists it on its pricing page.
