Best Software for Men's Coaches: 5 Options Ranked

Best Software for Men's Coaches: 5 Options Ranked

The best software for men's coaches is the one that keeps a client showing up on the days between calls, because that is where most men's coaching either works or quietly stalls. A man who books a call, says the right things, then disappears for nine days does not need a prettier booking page. He needs a daily check-in, a short list of commitments he can tick off, and a group of other men who notice when he goes quiet. So the deciding question is simple: does the tool carry the client journey from first call to week twelve, or does it only handle the admin around it?

We make Coachful, and we rank it first here for that reason: one login covers booking, payments, agreements, multi-week programs with habits and check-ins, a community for your brotherhood or cohort, courses, a website with funnels and email, plus a branded client app. Below you will find a five-question checklist to answer about your own practice, a table that maps your answers to a pick, then five tools ranked with honest limits, costs at 5, 15 and 40 clients, red flags and switching costs.

What do men's coaches actually need from software?

Men's coaches need software that handles accountability between sessions, a group space that feels like a brotherhood rather than a forum, and clean admin so the business side does not eat coaching time. The exact mix depends on how you coach.

Men's coaching covers a wide range. Some coaches work one-to-one with men in their thirties and forties on purpose, confidence and direction (our guide to why men hire a life coach covers what clients usually come for). Others run 12-week cohorts or a paid brotherhood with weekly calls. Many blend coaching with training and nutrition, because physical discipline is often the entry point. A smaller group works on relationships, separation or fatherhood. Each of those shapes leans on different features:

  • One-to-one purpose and confidence work needs booking, agreements, session notes, goals and a light daily check-in.
  • Cohorts and brotherhoods need a group space, group calls, shared program content and a way to see who has gone silent.
  • Body-first coaching needs workouts, nutrition targets, progress photos and weekly check-ins.
  • Audience-led coaches with a podcast or social following need a website, funnels, email sequences and a way to sell a course or entry offer.

The client journey for most men's programs follows a familiar path: a short application or discovery call, a signed agreement, payment, a welcome sequence, then weeks of small daily commitments with a weekly group call and a monthly one-to-one. The weak point is almost always weeks three to six, when the novelty fades. Software that surfaces "quiet" clients early earns its cost.

Scope: where coaching stops

Men often arrive at coaching with issues that sit close to mental health: low mood, anger, drinking, a marriage ending, or grief. Coaching is not therapy or treatment. State in your agreement that you do not diagnose or treat, and have a referral path ready: a licensed therapist, a doctor, or in the US the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline for anyone in crisis. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and is not built for clinical record-keeping, and the other four tools here are built for coaching, courses and communities rather than clinical care, so keep session notes to coaching content and refer out when a conversation becomes clinical.

Marketing matters too. If you show client transformations, the FTC says endorsements must be honest and not misleading, and testimonials showing exceptional results need proof they are typical, or the ad must state what clients generally achieve. The FTC also warns consumers that coaching offers promising guaranteed income or a "proven system" are likely scams, which is worth remembering if your men's program touches money or career outcomes.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

Which five questions decide your software?

Answer these five questions about your practice before you compare features. Your answers narrow the field faster than any feature grid.

  1. Do your clients need daily accountability between calls? If your method relies on habits, morning or evening check-ins and streaks, you need a tool with per-client programs, not just a calendar.
  2. Do you run a group, cohort or brotherhood? If yes, you need a community feed, group calls and a way to tie group membership to a paid program.
  3. Is training or nutrition part of your offer? If yes, you need a workout builder and nutrition targets, or you will be adding a fitness app on top.
  4. Do you sell to an audience larger than your client list? A podcast, YouTube channel or big social following usually means a website, funnels, email sequences and a low-priced course or entry offer.
  5. How many tools are you paying for right now, and how much time do you have to set up a new one? If the answer is "four or more" and "not much," setup help and total stack cost matter more than any single feature.

Which tool fits your answers?

Use this table to map the answers you gave above to a starting pick. Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build).

ToolBest when your answers areDaily accountabilityGroup or brotherhoodStarting price as listed
CoachfulYes to accountability, groups or training; you want one login for everythingHabits, morning and evening check-ins, streaks, goalsCommunity feed, cohort groups, group callsLite: $29/month for up to 5 clients

Mighty NetworksBrotherhood membership is the main productNo per-client habits or check-insYes, community, courses and events$95/mo ($79/mo annual) plus 2% platform fee

SkoolLow-cost community and classroom, no 1:1 admin neededNo per-client habits or check-insYes, gamified community$9/mo plus 10% + 30¢ per transaction

Prices for the other vendors are as listed on their pricing pages in October 2026. If you answered yes to questions one or two, start with Coachful. If you only need a membership community and nothing else, Mighty Networks or Skool may cover it. If you are course-first with a big list, Kajabi is the realistic alternative.

How did we rank these tools?

We ranked each tool against a concrete men's practice: one coach with 15 one-to-one clients plus a 12-week group program, where the group meets weekly on video and every man commits to three daily habits.

For that coach we asked what each tool would need to cover: an application or booking page, an agreement before the first call, payment for the program and the monthly one-to-one, a daily check-in, a group space, a weekly group call, a simple website, and a follow-up email sequence for leads who did not buy. Then we counted how many extra tools each option would still need to fill the gaps, and what that stack would cost. We did not test the tools hands-on; we used what each vendor documents on its own pages and what public reviewers report, dated where that matters.

Direct substitutes for Coachful (coaching back-office tools like Paperbell) sit in the lower half because they cover admin well but leave delivery to other apps. Community platforms rank above them for this niche only because the group is often the product for men's coaches.

1. Coachful: the full client journey in one login

Coachful is the strongest fit for men's coaches because it covers both the admin and the daily delivery: booking, agreements, payments, multi-week programs with habits and check-ins, a community, courses, a website with funnels and email, and a branded client app.

It is a coaching platform built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, and for solo coaches growing into a small team. It suits men's coaches who are currently juggling a scheduler, a payment link, a group chat app, a course host and an email tool. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a Trustpilot rating of 4.5 from 21 reviews.

What a men's coach gets in one login

Accountability between calls. Programs run for as many weeks as you set, with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. A man in week four of your program opens his app, sees today's three commitments, logs his morning check-in and sees his streak. You see the same data on his client record, along with notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions.

Early warning on quiet clients. Each client carries a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. For men's coaching, where drop-off often happens silently, that status list is the first screen worth checking each morning. The built-in AI assistant, Michelle, can also brief you on a client before a session from his live practice data.

A brotherhood that lives next to the program. The community includes a feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. When a man enrolls in your program, Coachful creates the cohort group automatically, so you are not adding people to a chat app by hand. Group calls and webinars run inside the same account. See how this works on the group coaching software page.

Admin that happens before the first call. Booking pages have availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync. Calls use built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Email reminders go out by default, plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and stay on the client record (details on coaching contracts). Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with one-time, subscription and payment-plan options, coupons and refunds. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee (since August 2026); you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.

Training and nutrition, if you coach the body too. The Fitness & Nutrition pack adds a workout builder with an exercise library of illustrated exercises (supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals, tempo), workout logging with set history and PRs, nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins and private form-check video with timestamped comments. You attach your own demo videos; there are no stock exercise videos. More on the fitness and nutrition page.

Marketing for audience-led coaches. The section-based website builder has a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates. Funnels cover booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout flows with pixel and UTM tracking. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences support triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. If you send marketing email, follow the FTC's CAN-SPAM rules: a working opt-out honored within 10 business days and a valid postal address.

This walkthrough shows how a multi-week program is built and delivered:

Where Coachful is not the right call

  • It is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
  • There is no PayPal and no permanent free plan; a free trial exists.
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.
  • No Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly.
  • No multi-stage sales deal board for large teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.
  • The affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. Setup is where most coaches stall when switching tools, so Coachful's team will build it for you at no cost on every plan. From Create > We'll build it for you, you describe what you want: a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline and written material, an email sequence, a form, a link-in-bio page, an event or an automation. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. The team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent build: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more about the white-glove build service.

Price as listed: flat monthly plans, with lower plans capping the number of clients and Pro covering unlimited clients (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). 2. Kajabi: for men's coaches with a big audience

Kajabi is the pick when your men's coaching business is really a content business: a podcast or channel feeding courses, a community and an email list, with one-to-one coaching as a premium layer on top.

Kajabi homepage hero section promoting its platform for selling knowledge products
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Strengths for audience-led men's brands

Kajabi bundles courses, a community, a website, funnels and email marketing. If you already have thousands of followers and want to sell a self-paced "discipline reset" course alongside a higher-priced cohort, it holds all of that in one place. Higher plans add more products, contacts, communities and AI credits.

The price, as listed in October 2026

Basic is $179/mo ($143/mo billed annually) for 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249/mo ($199/mo annual) and Pro is $499/mo ($399/mo annual). On Kajabi Payments in the US, Basic carries 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction; using another processor (excluding PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic. The standard trial is 14 days per its help center.

Gaps for this niche

Kajabi has no habit tracking and no daily client check-ins; coaching runs through products and communities rather than per-client plans. For a men's coach whose method depends on daily commitments, that means adding a separate accountability tool. The 5-product cap on Basic fills quickly once you count a course, a cohort, a membership and a one-to-one offer. Public reviewers give it a Trustpilot rating of 3.4 from 2,347 reviews (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if your revenue comes mainly from courses sold to a large list, you rarely track individual clients day to day, and you are comfortable with the higher entry price.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

3. Mighty Networks: when the brotherhood is the product

Mighty Networks fits men's coaches whose main offer is a paid membership community with courses and live events, rather than individual coaching.

Mighty Networks homepage hero section promoting community, courses and events
Mighty Networks's homepage in October 2026.

Why community-first coaches consider it

It combines a community, courses and events, with member apps branded as Mighty. Livestreaming is built in, so a weekly brotherhood call can run inside the platform. The Launch plan includes 3 hosts and 10 moderators, which suits a coach who wants a few senior members helping run the group.

Listed pricing and fees

As listed in October 2026, Launch is $95/mo ($79/mo annual) with 200 GB storage and 20 hours a month of livestreaming for up to 100 attendees. Scale is $215/mo ($179/mo annual). Mighty takes a platform fee of 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth, on top of Stripe processing. A 14-day trial with no card is offered, and trials include Growth plan features.

What men's coaches will miss

There is no one-to-one scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. A coach running both a brotherhood and monthly one-to-one calls would add a scheduler, an e-signature tool and a payment link. Your own branded apps are only on the custom-priced Mighty Pro plan. Trustpilot shows 3.3 from 219 reviews (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if you run a large membership community with no individual coaching, and you want hosts and moderators sharing the load from day one.

4. Paperbell: simple admin for one-to-one men's coaching

Paperbell suits a solo men's coach who only does one-to-one packages and wants booking, payments and contracts handled with one flat price.

Paperbell homepage hero section promoting admin software for solo coaches
Paperbell's homepage in October 2026.

Where it helps

Paperbell is all-in-one admin for solo coaches: booking, packages, payments, contracts, a client portal and a simple website. Its single plan includes unlimited clients, sessions, files, packages and traffic, so price does not rise as your roster grows. If you want alternatives, our Paperbell alternatives guide compares more options.

One plan, one price

As listed in October 2026, Paperbell costs $97/mo, or $80.83/mo billed annually, with a 30-day money-back guarantee and "no additional transaction fees" beyond Stripe or PayPal processing. Its help center described a 7-day trial in July 2026 with the public site offline and client messages and SMS off during the trial.

Limits to weigh

Based on profile data from September 2026, Paperbell has no courses, no community and no goal or habit tracking, and no native mobile app (clients use the mobile browser). For a men's coach, that means the brotherhood and daily accountability would live in other apps. Trustpilot shows 3.5 from 14 reviews (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if you coach one-to-one only, want no group or program delivery at all, and need PayPal as a payment option.

5. Skool: a low-cost community and classroom

Skool is a cheap way to start a men's group with a community feed, a classroom for content and a calendar for live calls, all inside one group.

Skool homepage hero section promoting community and classroom groups
Skool's homepage in October 2026.

What appeals to men's group coaches

Skool puts community, classroom and calendar in one group, with gamified leaderboards that some men's groups use to reward participation. Both plans include unlimited members, courses, videos and live calls.

Cost and transaction fees in October 2026

Hobby is $9/mo ($7.50/mo annual) but charges 10% + 30¢ on every transaction. Pro is $99/mo ($82.50/mo annual) with 2.9% + 30¢ on transactions up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900. Payments run only through Skool Payments, fees are non-refundable, and payouts are weekly. The pricing page does not state a trial length or card requirement, so we cannot confirm those terms.

Drawbacks in practice

There is no custom-domain website, no funnels, no email automation and no public API. There are no one-to-one client records, intake forms, habits or check-ins. On Hobby, a 10% cut of every sale adds up quickly once your group grows. Public reviews are thin and harsh: Trustpilot shows 1.6 from 54 reviews (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if you are testing a men's group idea with a handful of members, need nothing beyond a feed and a classroom, and accept per-transaction fees in exchange for a low monthly cost.

How do the features compare side by side?

Coachful is the only tool of the five that covers one-to-one admin, daily accountability and a group space together. This matrix uses yes, partial, no or not documented based on what each vendor documents.

FeatureCoachfulKajabiMighty NetworksPaperbellSkool

"Not documented" means the vendor facts we checked in October 2026 neither confirm nor rule the feature out, so ask the vendor before you rely on it. Paperbell's website is marked partial because it is described as a simple site rather than a builder with funnels.

What does each tool cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

For most men's coaches, the cost that matters is the full stack, not the headline plan. This table shows the listed monthly price of each tool at three roster sizes, and what you would still need to add.

Tool5 clients15 clients40 clientsStill needed for 1:1 plus group
CoachfulLite: $29/month for up to 5 clientsSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsPro: $99/month with unlimited clientsNothing extra; Stripe or Razorpay processing only

Skool (Hobby)$9/mo + 10% + 30¢ per sale$9/mo + 10% + 30¢ per sale$9/mo + 10% + 30¢ per saleScheduler, contracts, website, email, accountability tool

All non-Coachful prices are monthly list prices as published in October 2026, before card processing. To see how transaction fees change the picture, take an illustrative example: a coach with 15 men paying $300 a month each takes in $4,500. On Skool Hobby, the 10% fee alone would be $450 a month before the 30¢ per payment, which is why Skool Pro or a flat-fee tool usually wins past a handful of paying members. On Mighty Networks Launch, the 2% fee on the same example adds $90 a month on top of the plan.

Also count the add-ons. A typical men's stack built around a community tool needs a scheduler, an e-signature tool and often a separate email platform. Each carries its own monthly fee and its own login for you and your clients. If you are starting from zero, our guide on how to start a men's coaching business covers pricing your offer.

How would a men's coach set this up in Coachful?

Here is a worked setup for the scenario we used to rank the tools: 15 one-to-one clients plus a 12-week group program built around three daily habits.

Coachful's session calendar on a laptop and a client goal screen on a tablet on a cabin workbench
Coachful's monthly session calendar on the laptop and a client's daily momentum goal screen on the tablet, both with demo data.
  1. Request the build. Open Create and use the white-glove card. Ask for a five-page site, an application funnel for the 12-week program and a follow-up email sequence. Attach your logo, a few photos and your existing copy.
  2. Pick a look if you prefer to start yourself. A performance template like Kinetic suits a direct, disciplined brand. The team builds inside your account either way.
  3. Set up booking. Create a free discovery call and a paid monthly one-to-one session type, with buffers, minimum notice and intake questions about what the client wants to change.
  4. Add the agreement. Write your coaching agreement with a clear scope line (coaching, not therapy) and a referral clause. It goes out for e-signature before the first call.
  5. Build the program. Twelve weeks, each with a weekly goal and daily tasks, plus three habits (for example, training, a phone-free first hour and a daily journal entry) and morning and evening check-ins.
  6. Connect payments. Link your Stripe account and offer the program as a one-time payment or a payment plan.
  7. Open the brotherhood. Enrollment creates the cohort group automatically. Schedule the weekly group call as a video event.

What the client experiences

A new client applies through your funnel, books a discovery call that lands in both calendars, and signs the agreement before you speak. After he pays, he gets a welcome email and opens your branded app. Each morning he logs a check-in and sees his three habits; each evening he reflects on the day. His cohort group is already there with the other men from his intake, and the weekly call appears in his sessions tab. On your side, his record shows his streaks, check-ins, payments and notes, and his status changes to quiet if he stops logging. You can see what this looks like for clients on the client accountability software page.

What red flags and switching costs should you watch for?

The biggest risks are tools that charge a cut of every sale, tools that cap the features you need most, and moves that strand your client data. Check these before you commit.

Red flags

  • Percentage fees on sales. Skool Hobby (10% + 30¢) and Mighty Networks (0.5% to 2%) take a share of revenue. Kajabi adds 2% on Basic when you use a non-Kajabi processor other than PayPal. Small percentages become real money as a group grows.
  • Caps that bite in month three. Kajabi Basic's 5 products and 2,500 contacts sound generous until you count every offer and lead magnet.
  • No daily layer. If a tool has no habits or check-ins, your accountability will happen in text messages, which is the hardest place to spot a client drifting.
  • Unclear trial terms. Where a vendor does not state trial length or card requirements on its pricing page, ask before entering card details.
  • Marketing claims you cannot back up. Before-and-after stories need to reflect typical results under FTC guidance, whichever tool hosts your sales page.

Switching costs

  • Payment subscriptions. Recurring payments tied to one processor setup may need clients to re-enter card details when you move. Plan the switch at a billing cycle boundary and tell clients in advance.
  • Community history. Group conversations rarely move cleanly. Archive the important threads, then start the new group with a clear welcome post.
  • Course content. Videos and documents can be re-uploaded, but completion history is usually lost.
  • Client records. Export notes, intake answers and session history before you cancel. Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP and imports clients, programs and content for you during onboarding.

Which software should a men's coach choose?

Choose Coachful if your coaching depends on what clients do between calls, if you run a group alongside one-to-one work, or if you want to replace four or more tools with one login. It is the only tool here that covers booking, agreements, payments, daily habits and check-ins, a brotherhood community, courses, workouts and marketing together, and the white-glove build removes most of the setup work.

Choose Kajabi if you are course-first with a large audience. Choose Mighty Networks or Skool if a membership community is your only product. Choose Paperbell if you coach one-to-one only and want the simplest possible admin. For more angles on the same decision, see our guides to the best app for men's coaches and the best platform for men's coaches, or browse Coachful for life coaches, confidence coaches and fitness coaches.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best software for men's coaches?

For most men's coaches, Coachful is the best fit because it combines one-to-one admin, daily habits and check-ins, a group community and marketing in one login. Community-only coaches may find Mighty Networks or Skool enough, and course-led coaches with large audiences may prefer Kajabi.

Do I need separate software for a men's brotherhood or group?

Not if your main tool includes a community. In Coachful, enrolling in a program creates the cohort group automatically, and group calls run in the same account. Paperbell has no community, so you would add a separate app.

Can men's coaching clients track habits in the app?

In Coachful, yes: programs include habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks, and the coach sees the data on each client record. Kajabi, Mighty Networks, Paperbell and Skool do not document per-client habit tracking.

Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant for men dealing with mental health issues?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping. Coaching is not therapy; if a client needs mental health support, refer him to a licensed professional, and in a crisis in the US, to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

What is Coachful's free white-glove build service?

On every plan, Coachful's team will build things like your website, funnel, program, course outline or email sequence inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. You describe what you want and attach up to 8 links and 10 files. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Which tool is cheapest for a small men's group?

Skool Hobby has the lowest listed monthly price at $9, but it takes 10% + 30¢ of every transaction, so it gets expensive as paying members grow. Compare the total, including fees and any extra tools, at your expected roster size.

Can I include workouts and nutrition in my men's coaching program?

Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack adds a workout builder, workout logging, nutrition targets, meal plans, progress photos and form-check video. You attach your own demo videos, and there is no wearable sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura. Our guide to workout builder software covers this in more depth.

Does Coachful take a cut of my coaching revenue?

No. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026; you pay only the processing fees of your own Stripe or Razorpay account. PayPal is not supported.

How hard is it to switch from my current tools?

Plan for recurring payments, community history and course progress, which rarely move cleanly. Coachful imports clients, programs and content for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can rebuild your website and funnels inside your account.

Can I try Coachful before committing?

Yes, there is a free trial, and monthly plans cancel in one click. There is no permanent free plan. Compare features on the comparison page before you start.
