Best Website Builder for Online Fitness Coaches (7 Compared)

Best Website Builder for Online Fitness Coaches (7 Compared)

The best website builder for online fitness coaches is the one that turns a stranger from Instagram into a paying client who opens their first workout the same week, without you gluing five tools together. A pretty homepage matters less than three plain jobs: booking the consult, taking the monthly payment, and giving the client a login where their training, check-ins and form videos live. Judge every builder on those jobs and on what the whole stack costs per month, not on how many fonts it offers.

Our pick is Coachful, because its website, funnels, booking, checkout and client app are one product with one login, and the team will build your site for you at no cost. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the honest limits below: Squarespace, Wix and WordPress give you far more general design freedom and plugins, and Coachful is not the right tool for a site that is not a coaching business.

This guide starts with a five-question checklist, maps your answers to a pick, then ranks seven builders, prices them at 5, 15 and 40 clients, and closes with the red flags and switching costs that catch fitness coaches out. For the broader category, see our roundup of coaching software with a website builder.

What does an online fitness coach actually need from a website?

An online fitness coach needs a site that captures leads, books consult calls, sells a recurring package and hands over a training plan. Everything else is decoration.

The client journey in this niche is short and repetitive. Someone sees a transformation post or a Reel, taps the link in your bio, lands on a page, and either books a call or applies. If they buy, they pay monthly or for a 12-week block, fill in an intake (training history, injuries, equipment, goals), sign a coaching agreement, and then expect their first week of workouts and a weekly check-in schedule. That means the website is the front door to a delivery system, not a brochure.

Here is what that translates to in software terms:

  • A link-in-bio page that sells. Most fitness leads arrive on a phone from Instagram or TikTok, so the first page they see has to load fast and carry one clear action.
  • Lead capture. A free four-week plan, a macro guide or a mobility routine in exchange for an email, followed by an email sequence.
  • Application or booking funnel. High-ticket coaches screen with an application; lower-ticket coaches let people book a free consult straight away.
  • Recurring checkout. Subscriptions, payment plans, coupons for challenges and an order bump (for example, a nutrition add-on).
  • Intake and agreement. A health and training questionnaire and a signed coaching agreement before the first session.
  • Client login. Workouts with sets, reps and tempo, logging, progress photos, check-ins and messaging, ideally in an app.
  • Blog and SEO. Useful for coaches who want search traffic for terms like "postpartum strength coach" or "hybrid running and lifting plan", not just social traffic.

A scope note belongs here too, because your website sets expectations. Fitness coaching is not medical treatment or physiotherapy. Your intake should flag anyone reporting chest pain, dizziness on exertion, a recent injury or surgery, pregnancy complications, a diagnosed heart or metabolic condition, or signs of disordered eating, and refer them to a doctor or the right clinician before you program for them. Say so on your site, and keep clinical records in a clinical system, not in a website or coaching tool.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

Five questions to answer about your coaching practice first

Answer these five questions honestly before you compare features; your answers do most of the choosing.

  1. Where will clients receive their training? Inside your own branded client area, in a separate training app you already pay for, or in PDFs and spreadsheets?
  2. How do new clients come in? Mostly from Instagram and TikTok through a bio link, from search and a blog, or from referrals and a consult call?
  3. What do you sell? Monthly 1:1 online coaching, 12-week programs, group challenges, self-paced courses, or a mix?
  4. How many tools are you willing to pay for and connect? One, two, or as many as the design needs?
  5. How much design control do you need? A clean, proven layout that converts, or a fully custom brand site with plugins and a store for merch?

Which builder fits your answers?

Match the pattern of your answers to the row below; the first row is where most online fitness coaches land.

How did we rank these website builders?

We ranked on how well each site gets an online fitness coach booked and paid, and on total monthly stack cost, not on design freedom alone.

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, booking and checkout on the site, lead capture and funnels, delivery of training between sessions, blog and SEO, total stack cost, and setup effort (including whether someone will build it for you).

1. Coachful: is it the best website builder for online fitness coaches?

For a coach who sells monthly online training and delivers it through an app, yes. Coachful's website is part of a coaching platform, so the page a lead lands on, the checkout they pay through and the app where they log Tuesday's lower-body session are one system.

The website and funnels side

The site builder is section-based, with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, several of them in a performance style that suits training brands. If you already have a site elsewhere, there is an Import website option. On top of the pages sit funnels: booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with Meta Pixel and UTM tracking, so you can see which Reel or ad sent the client who bought. There are about 25 funnel templates to start from, and a link-in-bio page that sells directly, which matters when most of your traffic comes from a phone.

For a fitness coach, a typical structure is a homepage with one "apply" button, a free four-week plan as a lead magnet, an application funnel for 1:1 coaching and a checkout funnel for a 12-week program. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences (with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits) follow up with everyone who downloads the plan but does not apply.

The social planner helps here as well: Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, suggests post ideas and captions, and you can schedule and publish to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube from one calendar.

Booking, payments and the agreement

Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync. Calls run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours ahead and WhatsApp one hour ahead once messaging is enabled. You can ask intake questions at booking, which is where you collect training history, injuries and equipment.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements go out with e-signature before the first call and are stored on the client record. If payments are your main question, our guide to payment platforms for online fitness coaches goes deeper.

Where training actually happens

This is where a general website builder cannot follow. The Fitness & Nutrition pack adds a workout builder with an exercise library of illustrated exercises, supporting supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals and tempo. Clients log workouts with set history and PRs. You can set nutrition targets up to calories and macros, build meal plans and recipes, and clients get food lookup and barcode scanning. Progress photos and measurements stay private, weekly check-ins arrive on schedule, and clients can send a private form-check video that you answer with timestamped comments. Challenges round it out for group pushes.

The client side: a demo My Coaching page with programs, sessions, progress and documents behind one login.

Around that sit multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins and streaks, plus courses, a community feed, group chat and cohort groups created automatically when someone enrolls. Every client record shows goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you can spot the client who has gone silent before they cancel.

Here is a walkthrough of the website builder:

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE" (or the "Want us to build it for you?" card on the Website page), describe what you want, and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. They will not invent credentials, testimonials or prices; gaps are left for you to fill. For a fitness coach that could be a five-page site with every button leading to an application, a free-plan lead magnet funnel and the follow-up emails. It does not include filming videos, logo design or running ads. Read more about the free white-glove service.

What Coachful does not do

  • It is not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, and there are no third-party plugins. If you want a merch store with inventory or a magazine-style site, use Squarespace, Wix or WordPress.
  • No Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available.
  • No stock exercise videos; you attach your own demo videos to exercises.
  • No PayPal and no permanent free plan (there is a free trial).
  • Not HIPAA-certified, so clinical records belong elsewhere.
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.

Price: flat monthly plans; lower plans cap clients and Pro is unlimited (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). The fitness pack and website are included in your Coachful membership. More on the niche setup at Coachful for fitness coaches.

2. Wix: the most flexible all-rounder for fitness brands

Wix is the strongest general builder here for a fitness coach, because its apps cover booking, packages and simple programs on the same site. It is still a website builder first, so training delivery usually lives in another tool.

How Bookings, Pricing Plans and Programs fit together

Wix Bookings ("Scheduling and services") handles appointments and classes with online payment, which suits consult calls and live group sessions. The Pricing Plans app sells memberships, session packages and subscriptions that can include bookings or programs, so a "4 calls a month plus program access" package is possible. The Online Programs app runs step-by-step programs and challenges, which a coach can use for a 30-day challenge with daily posts. There is a Contacts CRM with segments plus Wix Email Marketing and automations.

What is missing for this niche is a real training layer: there is no workout builder with sets, reps and tempo, no set logging and no form-check video workflow in Wix's own listing. Most coaches on Wix pair it with a separate training app, which means a second login for clients and a second subscription for you.

Price as listed in October 2026

Prices billed annually: Light $17/mo (cannot accept payments), Core $29/mo (first plan with Bookings, 50 GB storage), Business $39/mo and Business Elite $159/mo. The free plan carries Wix branding and no custom domain. Wix does not offer a free trial of Premium plans; it offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first upgrade. Wix Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 per card transaction, with no Wix commission listed on the plans page. Trustpilot: 3.4 from 29,316 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you already love a separate training app, want full creative control over layout and animation, or plan to run a general fitness brand site with a store and lots of non-coaching pages.

3. Squarespace: the polished choice for visual brands

Squarespace produces some of the cleanest-looking sites in this list, and its Core plan is pitched at service businesses. For an online fitness coach, the catch is that booking is a separate product and selling memberships carries a Squarespace fee.

Squarespace homepage showing its website templates and builder pitch
Squarespace's homepage in October 2026.

Booking needs Acuity

Online booking on Squarespace runs through Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription listed at $16 to $55 per month billed annually, added to your site with the Scheduling block. Acuity brings intake forms, reminders, packages and memberships, so the consult-call flow works well once it is connected. Squarespace sells services, courses, memberships and subscriptions natively, and the Contacts panel stores subscribers and customers.

The fee to watch

Digital content and memberships carry a Squarespace fee on top of card processing: 7% on Basic, 5% on Core, 1% on Plus and 0% on Advanced. If you sell an online program as a Squarespace membership, that fee scales with every client. Squarespace Payments card rates start at 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic and Core.

Price as listed in October 2026: Basic $25/mo ($19/mo annual), Core $39/mo ($29/mo annual), Plus $65/mo ($49/mo annual), Advanced $139/mo ($99/mo annual). No free plan; every site starts with a 14-day free trial with no card required, and trial sites cannot be exported. Trustpilot: 3.5 from 6,313 reviews.

There is no workout builder, logging or check-in flow in Squarespace, so like Wix it sits in front of a training app rather than replacing one.

Pick it over Coachful if your brand depends on editorial-quality visuals, you sell only a handful of packages, and you are happy running Acuity plus a training app alongside it.

Build your platform

4. Kajabi: built for courses and memberships

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. It suits a fitness coach whose business is mostly a self-paced program or a paid community, less so one who coaches clients individually.

Kajabi homepage promoting courses, community and creator business tools
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

What a fitness coach gets

You get a website, funnels, email, courses and a community in one subscription, which is genuinely useful for a "12-week shred" course or a membership with monthly workout drops. Coaching in Kajabi is organised as products and communities, not per-client plans: there is no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and no workout logging per client. For a deeper comparison, see our list of Kajabi alternatives for fitness coaches and our course platforms for online fitness coaches.

Limits on the entry plan

Basic is $179/mo ($143/mo annual) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249/mo ($199/mo annual) with 50 products and 25,000 contacts; Pro is $499/mo ($399/mo annual). Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic; using a processor other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. The standard trial is 14 days. Trustpilot: 3.4 from 2,347 reviews, all as listed in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if your revenue is mainly from a big course or membership sold to hundreds of people, and you do not need per-client workouts, logging or check-ins.

5. Systeme.io: funnels on a shoestring

Systeme.io is a low-cost marketing suite with funnels, email, courses, a community, a blog and an affiliate program. It is the cheapest way to get a working lead funnel live, which is why newer fitness coaches often start here.

Systeme.io homepage promoting its all-in-one funnel and email marketing suite
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

Strengths for a new coach

The free plan never expires and needs no card: 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, 1 blog, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign. That is enough to run a "free 4-week home workout plan" funnel and a small paid course. Systeme.io lists 0% transaction fees on all plans, so you pay only Stripe or PayPal processing. Startup is $17/mo (5,000 contacts, 10 funnels, 5 courses), Webinar $47/mo and Unlimited $97/mo, as listed in October 2026. Trustpilot: 4.9 from 8,696 reviews.

Gaps for 1:1 online training

Profile data from September 2026 notes no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, no habits or check-ins, basic community and course features, and no branded mobile app. For an online fitness coach that means a separate booking tool and a separate training app once you have paying 1:1 clients.

Pick it over Coachful if you have no clients yet, need a funnel and email list today without paying anything, and plan to sort out delivery later.

6. Stan Store: the Instagram-first storefront

Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for selling digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls. If nearly all your leads tap through from Instagram or TikTok, it is a fast, phone-first way to sell a program or a consult.

Stan Store homepage promoting its link-in-bio creator storefront
Stan Store's homepage in October 2026.

What it handles, and what it leaves out

It handles the bio link, the product page and the checkout, with a 0% Stan fee ("keep 100% of every sale") and standard Stripe or PayPal processing. Unlimited products and customers come on both plans. Email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates are only on Creator Pro. What it leaves out is everything after the sale: no contracts, invoices or client records, no CRM, no programs with client tasks, habits or check-ins, and no team seats advertised. Its listing describes a storefront rather than a multi-page website with a blog for search traffic.

Price as listed in October 2026: Creator $29/mo ($25/mo annual) and Creator Pro $99/mo ($79/mo annual), with a 14-day free trial; the first month is charged when the trial ends. Trustpilot: 4.7 from 2,205 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell mostly low-priced PDFs and pre-recorded programs to a social audience, do not coach individuals, and do not need a website beyond a bio page.

7. WordPress.com: maximum freedom, maximum assembly

WordPress.com is hosted WordPress. It gives you the most room for a content-heavy fitness site, and the most pieces to assemble yourself.

WordPress.com homepage promoting hosted WordPress sites and plans
WordPress.com's homepage in October 2026.

Plugins carry the coaching features

Booking, courses (LMS) and membership features come from plugins, which can be installed on any paid plan from Personal. A built-in newsletter with unlimited subscribers and paid subscriptions with content gating are available on every plan, with a WordPress.com fee from 10% on Free, 8% on Personal, 4% on Premium, 2% on Business, down to 0% on Commerce. Standard WooCommerce payments are 0% fee on Business. For a coach building search traffic with long articles on topics like training around a desk job, WordPress remains the deepest blogging tool here.

The assembly cost

Each plugin is another vendor, another update cycle and often another fee, and none of them is a per-client training app with logging and check-ins out of the box. Prices as listed in October 2026: Free $0 (subdomain, ads, no plugins), Personal $9/mo ($4/mo annual), Premium $18/mo ($8/mo annual), Business $40/mo ($25/mo annual), Commerce $70/mo ($45/mo annual). Refunds are offered within 14 days on annual plans and 7 days on monthly plans. Trustpilot: 3.8 from 4,204 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if search traffic from a large blog is your main growth channel, you are comfortable maintaining plugins, and you want full control of themes and code.

What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

For most builders the subscription stays flat as you grow, but the stack around it does not. The table shows the listed monthly price of each builder (billed annually where offered) and what else an online fitness coach typically adds to deliver training.

Card processing (around 2.9% + $0.30 per US charge on most processors) applies to every row. Separate training apps are not priced here because their pricing varies and is not in our October 2026 data; check each one's own page, and note that many of them charge per client, which is exactly where the 40-client column gets expensive. Our cheapest website builders for coaches guide covers budget options in more depth.

How would an online fitness coach set this up in Coachful?

Here is a worked example for an illustrative coach selling 12-week online strength coaching with a monthly check-in call. The steps follow the order clients experience them.

A client's coaching hub on a phone and a coach's session calendar on a laptop in a training studio
The client coaching hub with the next session on a phone, and the coach's session calendar on a laptop.
  1. Request the build. Open Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", and describe the site: homepage, About, Work With Me, Results and Contact, with every button leading to an application. Attach your logo, training photos and current bio. Leave results and testimonials for real ones you add later.
  2. Pick a performance template if you prefer to build yourself, connect your custom domain, and fill in SEO titles for each page.
  3. Build the lead magnet funnel. Offer a free four-week beginner plan in exchange for an email, and attach a short email sequence that explains how you coach and ends with the application link.
  4. Set up the application funnel with questions about training age, injuries, equipment and schedule, then a booking step for a consult call with buffers and minimum notice.
  5. Create the offer. Connect your Stripe account and set a subscription or a three-payment plan for the 12-week block, with an order bump for a nutrition add-on. To set the price, start from your hours per client per month and the result you deliver; our guide to pricing app-only and live-call tiers walks through the math.
  6. Attach the agreement so it is signed before the first call, and add your scope line: coaching is not medical care, and some answers trigger a referral to a doctor.
  7. Build the program. Use the workout builder to create weeks one to twelve with supersets, tempo and progression, attach your own demo videos, and set a weekly check-in with progress photos and measurements. Our guide on creating an online fitness coaching program covers structure.
  8. Publish the link-in-bio page with two buttons: the free plan and the application.
  9. Watch the client list for anyone moving to quiet or at risk, and reply to form-check videos with timestamped comments.

Which red flags and switching costs should you watch for?

The expensive mistakes are rarely the builder's sticker price; they are the fees, the extra logins and the work of moving later.

  • Percentage fees on memberships. Squarespace's 7%/5%/1% on digital content and memberships, WordPress.com's fee on paid subscriptions below Commerce, and Kajabi's extra fee for non-Kajabi processors all grow with every client you add.
  • A second login for clients. If the site sells and another app delivers, clients get two accounts, two sets of emails and two places to forget. Every extra step between purchase and first workout is a chance for a new client to stall; see our list of online fitness coaching mistakes.
  • Booking as an add-on. Acuity on Squarespace or a plugin on WordPress means another subscription and another place where reminders can break.
  • Free plans with branding. Wix's free plan has no custom domain, and WordPress.com's free plan shows ads. A coach charging for premium coaching should not send leads to a branded subdomain.
  • Trial sites you cannot export. Squarespace trial sites cannot be exported, so build seriously only once you have chosen.
  • Health data in the wrong place. None of these tools, Coachful included, is a clinical record system. Keep medical clearances and clinical notes where they belong.

Switching costs. Moving a website is the easy part; moving clients, programs and payment subscriptions is the hard part. Recurring Stripe subscriptions usually have to be recreated or carefully migrated, and clients have to be told where to log in. On Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and you can export full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) if you ever leave.

Which website builder should an online fitness coach choose?

Choose Coachful if you coach clients individually or in groups and want the website, funnels, booking, payment and training app to be one thing, with the build done for you. It is the only option here where the person who buys from your homepage logs in to the same place to see their workouts, log sets and send form checks.

Choose Wix or Squarespace if design control is the priority and you already pay for a training app you love. Choose Kajabi if you sell a course or membership at scale. Choose Systeme.io to launch a free funnel before you have clients, Stan Store if you only sell from a bio link, and WordPress.com if a large blog is your growth plan and you enjoy plugins. For the full software picture beyond websites, read our best fitness coaching software guide, or the general website builders for fitness coaches comparison.

In short: Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, with a website and funnels built in. It suits online fitness coaches replacing four to six tools. It is not a general website builder, has no plugins, no wearable sync and no stock exercise videos. To start, take a free trial and request the free white-glove build.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best website builder for online fitness coaches?

Coachful is our pick for coaches who sell and deliver training online, because the website, funnels, booking, checkout and workout app share one login. Wix and Squarespace are better for pure design control. Kajabi suits course-heavy businesses.

Does Coachful really build my website for free?

Yes. The white-glove build service is free on every plan: you describe the site, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. They do not invent testimonials, credentials or prices, and the service does not include filming videos, logo design or ads.

Can I sell monthly online coaching on Wix or Squarespace?

Yes. Wix sells subscriptions through Pricing Plans, and Squarespace sells memberships and subscriptions natively, with a 5% fee on Core for digital content and memberships. Neither includes a workout builder or client logging, so most coaches add a separate training app.

Do I need a blog as an online fitness coach?

Not to start. Most new online fitness coaches grow from social media and referrals first. A blog becomes worth it once you want search traffic for specific topics, and Coachful, Wix, Squarespace and WordPress.com all include one.

Can clients log workouts on my website?

On Coachful, yes: the Fitness & Nutrition pack lets clients log sets, see PRs, submit check-ins and send form-check videos in their branded app. On the general builders in this list, logging needs a separate app or plugin.

Does Coachful sync with Garmin, Fitbit or Apple Health?

No. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. Clients log workouts, measurements and check-ins inside the app.

Is a link-in-bio tool enough instead of a website?

For a coach selling a few digital products, it can be. Once you take applications, book calls and run a 12-week program, you need intake forms, agreements and a client login, which Stan Store does not offer. Coachful includes a link-in-bio page that sells alongside the full site.

Can I take PayPal on Coachful?

No. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, with a 0% Coachful platform fee. If PayPal is essential, Systeme.io and Stan Store support it.

What should my fitness coaching website say about health conditions?

State clearly that coaching is not medical treatment and that clients with certain conditions or symptoms need medical clearance first. Use your intake to flag chest pain, recent injury, pregnancy complications or signs of disordered eating, and refer those clients on. Keep clinical records in a clinical system.

How hard is it to move from Squarespace or Kajabi to Coachful?

The pages can be rebuilt or imported, and clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. The part to plan is recurring payments, which you set up again through your own Stripe account, and telling clients where to log in.
