7 Best Satori Alternatives for Health Coaches (2026 Guide)

7 Best Satori Alternatives for Health Coaches (2026 Guide)

The best satori alternatives for health coaches are the tools that handle what happens between sessions: daily habits, morning and evening check-ins, nutrition targets, progress photos and a client app people actually open. Satori is a tidy practice tool for scheduling, packages, invoices and contracts, but health coaching lives in the rest of the week, when your client is not on a call with you. The deciding question is simple: where will your clients log their water, steps, meals and reflections, and can you see it without opening three other apps?

Our pick is Coachful. We make Coachful, so weigh that, but the reasoning is concrete: it puts booking, payments, coaching agreements, multi-week programs with habits and check-ins, a Fitness & Nutrition pack, courses, community and a website into one login for you and one branded app for your client. Below we rank seven options, show real list prices at 5, 15 and 40 clients, and walk through how a health coach sets up a 12-week program step by step.

If you coach across niches, our general guide to Satori alternatives for coaches covers the wider field. This one stays focused on health coaching.

What do health coaches need from a Satori replacement?

Health coaches need software that tracks behavior daily, not just sessions monthly. A typical engagement is a 12-week or 6-month package built on small habits (sleep, hydration, protein, movement, stress), with short check-ins between calls and a slow, visible trend line that keeps the client going when motivation dips.

That shapes the shopping list in a way that differs from life or business coaching:

  • Habit and check-in tracking the client fills in on their phone. A morning energy and sleep score, an evening reflection, a streak counter. The quicker logging is, the more likely clients keep doing it.
  • Nutrition structure without becoming a dietitian. Calorie or macro targets, meal plans, recipes and food lookup are useful for many health coaches. Prescribing therapeutic diets for medical conditions is not coaching.
  • Progress evidence. Private progress photos, measurements and weekly check-in forms that build into a before and after view, so renewals are an easy conversation.
  • Intake and agreements before the first call. Health history questions, goals and a signed coaching agreement that states the scope of your work.
  • Program delivery, not only session packages. Weekly lessons, downloadable guides, short videos you record, and a cohort or group space for a reset challenge.
  • A way to get clients in the first place. A website, a lead magnet such as a 7-day meal planning guide, and email follow-up.

Where does coaching stop and medical care start?

Coaching is not treatment. Health and wellness coaches support behavior change toward goals the client chooses; they do not diagnose, prescribe, or manage disease. The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching credential and the general description of health coaching both frame the role around behavior change and partnership with the client's care team. Refer a client to their doctor before or during coaching if they report chest pain, fainting, unexplained weight loss, signs of disordered eating, pregnancy, uncontrolled blood pressure or blood sugar, or want to change medication.

That boundary matters for software too. If you are a licensed clinician who keeps medical records or bills insurance, you need a system built for protected health information. Under US law, HIPAA covered entities are mainly health plans, clearinghouses and providers who bill electronically; many independent health coaches are not covered entities, but check your own situation. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical records belong in a clinical system, and our guide to SimplePractice alternatives for health coaches covers that side of the market.

How do the 7 Satori alternatives compare at a glance?

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery (habits, check-ins, nutrition), total stack cost, and setup effort, including whether someone will build it for you.

How did we choose and rank these tools?

We started with the jobs a health coach does each week and checked each vendor's public pricing page and documentation against them. We did not run client programs in each tool; we report what vendors document and what public reviewers say. Satori itself sits outside the ranking because it is the tool being replaced.

Four tests decided the order:

  1. Between-session delivery. Can a client log habits and check-ins in an app, and can you see who is slipping before the next call?
  2. One login. Can booking, payments, agreements, program content and marketing live together, or will you bolt on a course tool, a newsletter tool and a scheduler?
  3. Total stack cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients. Not just the sticker price, but what you still have to buy elsewhere.
  4. Setup effort. How long until a client can enroll, and whether the vendor helps build it.

We also checked fit for the niche: tools that only handle sessions were ranked lower than tools that support the daily habit work health coaching depends on.

1. Coachful: the best overall Satori alternative for health coaches

Tablet on a kitchen counter showing a client's coaching progress page beside oats and greens

Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, coaching agreements, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. For a health coach moving off Satori, the difference is that the work between calls gets a proper home instead of living in a shared spreadsheet or a WhatsApp thread.

What a health coach gets day to day

Programs run for as many weeks as you set, with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. A client on a 12-week metabolic reset might see "10-minute walk after lunch" and "protein at breakfast" as daily habits, answer a two-question morning check-in about sleep and energy, and close the day with a short evening reflection.

On your side, each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. That status is the useful part for health coaching: the client who stopped logging on Tuesday shows up as quiet before they ghost your Thursday call.

The Fitness & Nutrition pack adds what many health coaches currently patch together from separate apps: nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins, a workout builder with an illustrated exercise library, workout logging with set history and PRs, private form-check video with timestamped comments, and challenges. You attach your own demo videos; there are no stock exercise videos. See the Fitness & Nutrition pack for details.

Booking pages support availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync. Calls run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Email reminders go out by default, and SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) reminders work once messaging is enabled. Intake questions can sit on the booking form, which is where your health history and goals questions go.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Since August 2026 there is a 0% Coachful platform fee; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record, which is the right place for your scope-of-practice clause. Our page on coaching contracts explains the setup.

For growth, there is a website builder with 30 designed homepage templates, booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels, email broadcasts and sequences, courses with drip and completion tracking, and a community with cohort groups created automatically on program enrollment. That makes a 6-week group reset practical without a separate course host or Facebook group. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data to draft emails, build programs and brief you before sessions; questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership, while confirmed builds use AI credits.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can go to Create and choose "We'll build it for you", describe what you need (a website, a lead-magnet funnel, a 12-week program, an email sequence, an intake form) and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent example: a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing received a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management. Read more about the free white-glove build service.

What it does not do

Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. It has no PayPal, no wearable sync (no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available), and no stock exercise videos. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There is no permanent no-cost plan; you start with a free trial. Coachful holds a 4.5 rating on Trustpilot from 21 reviews.

Price: flat monthly plans, with lower plans capping the number of clients and Pro unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Monthly plans cancel in one click. More detail for this niche is on our Coachful for health coaches page.

2. AttractWell: a marketing-heavy all-in-one

AttractWell's all-in-one coaching and marketing platform homepage
AttractWell's homepage in October 2026.

AttractWell is an all-in-one for coaches, course creators, consultants, authors and speakers. It bundles a website, funnels, a blog, CRM, email and texting, booking, contracts, invoicing and a store, plus a Facebook-style community and memberships with recurring payments. For a health coach whose growth plan rests on list building, text reminders and a membership, it covers more marketing ground than Satori ever did.

Fit for health coaching. Texting is useful for nudges such as "log your lunch" or "group call in an hour". Courses (AttractWell calls them vaults) suit a self-paced gut health or sleep course, and the community can host a monthly challenge. Session packages with usage tracking exist, though not on the entry plan. Our data does not show daily habit or check-in tracking, so you would likely run that through forms or a separate app.

Price as listed in October 2026. Starter $69/month (500 contacts, 100 texts, 1 vault and 1 class, Zoom up to 5 people, 2 booking links, no call packages). Basic $99/month (1,000 contacts, 1,000 texts, 3 vaults, 5 call packages). Premium $129/month (4,000 contacts, unlimited booking links and call packages, 10 vaults). Pro $179 and Diamond $239 raise the caps; Team starts at $600/month for 6 accounts. The first month is $1 on every plan, and AttractWell lists a 0% transaction fee. It holds 4.6 on Trustpilot from 21 reviews, seen October 27, 2026.

Limits. Pricing is driven by contacts, texts and content caps, so a free challenge that adds 800 people to your list moves you up a tier. Unlimited vaults and classes cost an extra $17/month. The number of settings that ships with a tool this broad also means more setup time.

Pick it over Coachful if SMS marketing and a contact-based CRM are the centre of your business and you do not need a structured habit and nutrition program inside the client's app.

3. Quenza: worksheets and activities for client engagement

Quenza's client engagement software homepage for coaches and therapists
Quenza's homepage in October 2026.

Quenza is a client-engagement tool for coaches and therapists: you build activities, worksheets and programs, send them to clients, and chat through a client app. Health coaches who already like Satori for admin sometimes add Quenza for the homework side. As a replacement, it covers the exercises and reflections but not the business.

Where it helps a health coach. A food and mood journal, a sleep diary, a values exercise before setting a weight goal, or a weekly reflection sheet can all be built as activities and sequenced into a program. Clients complete them on their phone, which is a step up from emailed PDFs.

What you pay. As listed in October 2026: Spark $25/month ($20 annual) for 1 professional and 10 clients; Growth $50/month ($40 annual) for 250 clients; Impact $125/month for 400 clients; Collective $160/month for up to 3 professionals and 500 clients; Beyond is quoted. There is a 30-day trial with no credit card. Trustpilot shows 4.3 from 8 reviews.

Where it stops. Quenza does not process client payments today; invoicing and digital products are marked as planned. Our older profile also notes no scheduling or video calls. That means a health coach leaving Satori for Quenza still needs a scheduler, a payment tool and a contract tool, which rebuilds the stack Satori was supposed to replace. There are no nutrition targets or meal plans in our data.

Pick it over Coachful if you only want a library of structured worksheets for clients and you are keeping a separate tool for booking, payments and agreements.

4. Practice Better: closest to clinical-style practice management

Practice Better's practice management homepage for wellness and nutrition practitioners
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Practice Better is practice management for wellness and nutrition practitioners: scheduling, telehealth, charting, billing, programs and a client portal. Among Satori alternatives for health coaches, it is the one that leans most toward the dietitian and functional nutrition side, with charting that a pure coaching tool does not attempt.

Why health coaches look at it. If you run nutrition-focused programs and want session notes in a charting format, Practice Better's structure will feel familiar. Programs and a client portal handle content delivery, and telehealth is built in. If you are a licensed practitioner, check Practice Better's own documentation for its privacy and compliance terms rather than relying on a coaching tool.

Listed prices, October 2026. Sprout $0 (3 clients, 1 practitioner, 100 MB); Starter $35/month or $25 annual (10 clients); Professional $69/month or $59 annual (300 clients); Plus $99/month or $89 annual (unlimited clients, 3 admins); Team $155/month or $145 annual for 2 practitioners, up to 200 at $50 each. Trials are 30 days on Team and 14 days on other paid plans. Trustpilot shows 3.8 from 87 reviews.

Trade-offs. Evergreen programs, portal branding, a custom URL and SMS start on the Plus plan, so a health coach who wants a branded self-paced program pays $99/month. Our older profile notes no website builder or funnel pages, so you still need a site and an email tool to fill the practice. Below Team, each account has one practitioner. For a deeper look at this vendor, see our Practice Better alternatives for health coaches.

Pick it over Coachful if charting and telehealth in a practitioner-style record matter more to you than a website, funnels, a community and a habit-first client app.

5. Paperbell: simple packages, nothing between sessions

Paperbell's homepage for solo coaches selling session packages
Paperbell's homepage in October 2026.

Paperbell is an all-in-one admin tool for solo coaches: booking, packages, payments, contracts, a client portal and a simple website, for one price. If what you like about Satori is the clean package checkout, Paperbell is the most similar experience in this list.

The health coach view. Selling "12 sessions over 3 months" or a monthly subscription with a signed agreement is easy, and the one-page site gets you live quickly. But Paperbell has no courses, no community and no goal or habit tracking according to our older profile, and there is no native mobile app, only the mobile browser. For a health coach, that leaves the daily habit and check-in work outside the tool, exactly the gap many coaches are trying to close when they leave Satori.

Cost as listed in October 2026. One plan at $97/month, or $80.83/month billed annually, with unlimited clients, sessions, files, packages and traffic. Paperbell says there are no additional transaction fees; Stripe or PayPal processing applies. There is a "Try For Free" option (a help-center note from July 2026 describes a 7-day trial with the public site offline and client messages and SMS off) and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Trustpilot shows 3.5 from 14 reviews.

Things to weigh. The single price is high for a health coach with four clients and good value for one with forty. PayPal support is a real plus if many of your clients prefer it. Our comparison of Paperbell alternatives for health coaches goes deeper.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell 1:1 session packages only, want PayPal checkout, and are happy to run habit tracking somewhere else.

6. Coach Recap: lightweight notes and goals

Coach Recap's homepage for solo coaches managing session notes and goals
Coach Recap's homepage in October 2026.

Coach Recap is built for solo coaches and says plainly that it is not aimed at agencies or enterprises. It centres on client profiles with session history, session notes, goals and action items, and full-text search, plus a booking page with buffers and notice rules, two-way Google Calendar and Outlook sync, and reminders at 24 hours, 1 hour and 15 minutes.

How a health coach would use it. After each call, you write notes and set action items ("prep three lunches on Sunday", "bed by 10:30 four nights"), and the client sees them. Intake forms and check-ins, contracts, private chat and resource sharing round it out. Programs are session packs or monthly subscriptions paid through Stripe, with sessions used and remaining tracked. It is close to Satori in spirit, with more attention on notes and goals.

Pricing, as listed. Starter $0/month for up to 3 active clients (active means a session or booking in the last 90 days), Professional $29/month for up to 20 active clients, and Business $79/month for unlimited clients. There is no cut of client payments; Stripe processing applies. Annual pricing is not shown, our capture of its pricing page displays euro prices, and App Store prices differ from the web.

Limits for this niche. Our data shows no nutrition targets, meal plans, progress photos, courses or community. A health coach running a group reset or a self-paced program would need another tool for that.

Pick it over Coachful if you coach fewer than 20 clients 1:1, care most about clean session notes and action items, and want the smallest possible monthly bill.

7. Merkora: one public page for booking, courses and live events

Merkora's homepage for independent experts offering booking, courses and live events
Merkora's homepage in October 2026.

Merkora is a newer tool for coaches, therapists, consultants and other independent experts. Each user gets one branded public page at a merkora.app address, with booking, automatic confirmations and reminders, intake forms, a waitlist, and session packages where clients see their remaining balance. It also hosts video courses, digital downloads, free lead magnets with email capture, and live streaming for events and group sessions.

The health-coaching angle. A coach who teaches live group classes, such as a weekly mindful eating workshop, and sells a recorded course alongside 1:1 packages could run all three from one page. Cancellation and no-show policies issue wallet credits instead of cash refunds, which some health coaches will like for session packs.

Prices, as listed in October 2026. The Free plan is $0 until your first paid sale; after that you have 14 days to move to Professional before new bookings and sales pause. It caps live events at 10 participants and 25 participant hours a month, with no recordings and Merkora branding. Professional is $79/month (events up to 200 participants, 500 participant hours, 10 hours of recordings, 200 GB). A founding-member rate of $29/month for 12 months, then $39/month, is limited to 50 spots. Merkora lists 0% platform fees; Stripe processing applies.

Watch-outs. The product appears new, with little public review history. Our data does not show habit tracking, check-ins, nutrition tools or a full website, and you get one public page rather than a multi-page site.

Pick it over Coachful if live group classes and a single public sales page are the core of your offer and you do not need daily habit tracking for clients.

Which features does each tool include?

Satori bills only active clients, and Essentials covers up to 10 active paying clients. Read our Satori pricing breakdown for annual figures and the Scholar plan.

As an example of stack math: a health coach on Paperbell who adds a separate course host, an email tool and a habit tracking app is paying four bills, and their clients are using four logins. Add up your own current tools before comparing.

How does a health coach set this up in Coachful, step by step?

Here is a worked example for a 12-week "Energy Reset" program for busy professionals, taking a coach from Satori to a running program. Adjust names, weeks and pricing to your own offer.

  1. Request the build first. Go to Create and choose "We'll build it for you". Ask for a three-page website, a lead-magnet funnel for a "7-day energy breakfast guide", and the 12-week program outline. Attach your logo, headshot and any existing copy. While that is being built, carry on with the steps below.
  2. Bring your clients over. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Export what you can from Satori first; our guide on how to migrate from Satori lists what to save, including the coaching log for ICF credentialing.
  3. Connect payments. Link your Stripe Connect account. Set the program as a one-time payment and a three-part payment plan. To choose a price, work backwards: estimate your hours per client over 12 weeks (calls, check-in reviews, messages), multiply by the hourly figure you need, and compare against what local health coaches charge publicly.
  4. Write the agreement. Create a coaching agreement with your scope clause ("coaching is not medical care; I do not diagnose or prescribe; consult your doctor before changing diet, exercise or medication") and your cancellation terms. It goes out for e-signature before the first call.
  5. Set up booking and intake. Create a 30-minute discovery call and a 45-minute coaching session type with buffers and minimum notice. Add intake questions: current sleep, energy, eating pattern, activity, medications and any conditions their doctor is managing. A "yes" to a red-flag question is your cue to ask for medical clearance.
  6. Build the habit layer. In the program, add week 1 habits (water on waking, a 10-minute walk), a morning check-in (sleep hours, energy 1 to 5) and an evening check-in (one win, one obstacle). Add one new habit every two weeks instead of six on day one.
  7. Add nutrition structure if you use it. With the Fitness & Nutrition pack, set protein or calorie targets where appropriate, share a simple meal plan and a handful of recipes, and turn on weekly check-ins with progress photos and measurements.
  8. Load the content. Add a short weekly lesson (record a 5-minute video on your phone), a downloadable grocery list, and the course module for the self-paced part.
  9. Open the group. When a client enrolls, a cohort group is created automatically. Schedule a fortnightly group Q&A call so clients see each other's progress.
  10. Watch the statuses. Each Monday, filter for clients marked quiet or at risk and send a short personal message. Ask Michelle for a briefing before each call so you open with what changed this week.

What mistakes should health coaches avoid when switching?

  • Choosing a clinical system you do not need. Charting software is built for clinicians. If you coach behavior change and refer medical questions out, you pay for complexity you will not use. If you are a clinician, the reverse applies: do not keep medical records in a coaching platform.
  • Overloading week one. Software makes it easy to assign ten habits. Start with one or two, and a check-in short enough to finish while the kettle boils.
  • Forgetting the scope clause. Put your "coaching is not medical care" language in the agreement and the intake, not just on your website.
  • Promising wearable integrations. Many tools, Coachful included, do not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura. Ask clients to enter key numbers in their check-in instead.
  • Migrating mid-program without a plan. Move new clients first, let current Satori clients finish their package, and export your coaching log before cancelling.
  • Comparing sticker prices only. Count every tool you will still pay for, and every extra login your clients will need.

Which Satori alternative should a health coach choose?

For most health coaches, Coachful is the strongest Satori alternative because it handles both the admin Satori covered and the daily habit, check-in and nutrition work Satori does not, in one login and one branded client app, with a team that will build your site, funnel or program for you. AttractWell is the pick for SMS-led marketing; Quenza suits worksheet-heavy coaching alongside other tools; Practice Better fits practitioners who want charting; Paperbell is the simplest package seller; Coach Recap is the lean option for small 1:1 caseloads; and Merkora suits live-class coaches with one sales page.

Start with a free trial, request the white-glove build on day one, and see how your first program looks before you move existing clients. You can also compare tools side by side on our comparison page or read the Satori alternative overview.

Frequently asked questions

Is Satori good for health coaches?

Satori handles scheduling, packages, invoices and contracts well for a solo coach. Our older profile notes no native mobile app, no courses, no community and no landing pages, so health coaches who need daily habit and check-in tracking usually add other tools or switch.

What is the best Satori alternative for health coaches?

We rank Coachful first because it combines booking, payments, agreements, multi-week programs with habits and check-ins, nutrition tools, courses, community and a website in one login. We make Coachful, so compare it against your own needs during the trial.

Can I track client nutrition and habits in Coachful?

Yes. Programs include habits, streaks and morning and evening check-ins, and the Fitness & Nutrition pack adds calorie and macro targets, meal plans, recipes, food lookup with barcode scanning, and private progress photos and measurements. Coachful does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura.

Is Coachful HIPAA compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Health coaches who coach behavior change and refer medical issues to the client's doctor often do not need a clinical system, but check your own legal position with an attorney.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

Every plan includes a free white-glove build: you describe what you want (website, funnel, program, email sequence, form and more), attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not invent testimonials or credentials and does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.

Can I move my clients from Satori to another platform?

Yes, but plan it. Satori offers a coaching-log export for ICF credentialing; a general client-data export was not verified in our research, so save notes and records before cancelling. Coachful imports clients, programs and content for you during onboarding.

Which Satori alternative is cheapest for a health coach with a few clients?

Practice Better's Sprout plan and Coach Recap's Starter plan cost nothing for 3 clients, as listed in October 2026. Neither includes a website, and both need extra tools for courses or community, so compare the full stack cost.

Do health coaches need a native mobile app for clients?

Not strictly, but daily logging works far better in an app than a browser. Coachful's client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app; according to our data, Paperbell and Satori have no native mobile app.

Can I run a group health challenge in these tools?

Coachful creates a cohort group when clients enroll in a program and supports challenges, group calls and webinars. AttractWell has a community and memberships, and Merkora hosts live events; Paperbell has no community feature in our data.

Does Coachful take a cut of my coaching payments?

No. Since August 2026 Coachful charges a 0% platform fee; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing on your own account. PayPal is not supported.
