Top 7 Best App for Breathwork Coaches: Ranked and Reviewed

The best app for breathwork coaches is the one your clients open every morning before they practise, not the one with the longest feature list. Breathwork results come from repetition: a few minutes of guided practice most days, a quick note on how it felt, a lesson that explains the next technique, and a group to breathe with each week. So the deciding question is simple. Which app gives your client one place on their phone for daily practice, check-ins, recordings, messages and community, while your booking, payments and agreements stay connected behind it?
Our pick is Coachful's client app. Clients install it on iPhone or Android and see your branding inside the Coachful app, with their program, daily habits, morning and evening check-ins, courses, community and sessions in one login. We make Coachful, so weigh that, but we have kept the six alternatives below factual and said exactly where each one wins. Mighty Networks and Circle are stronger pure community apps; Practice Better suits practitioners who need charting; Paperbell is a clean admin tool without a native app; Skool and ABC Trainerize fill narrower jobs.

This guide is about the app your clients use between sessions. If you are still setting up the business itself, start with how to start a breathwork coaching business, then come back here to choose the client experience.
What does a breathwork client need from an app at each stage?
A breathwork client needs four things in sequence: a way to find and trust you, an easy way to sign up and pay, a daily place to practise and report back, and a reason to stay after the first program ends. Thinking in those four stages (attract, enroll, deliver, retain) shows quickly which apps cover the whole journey and which only cover the middle.
Attract: a page that explains your method and a first step
Most breathwork clients arrive curious and slightly sceptical. They want to understand your approach (conscious connected breathing, slow resonance breathing, somatic work, breath for focus or sleep) and try something small: a free recorded session, a short guide, or a discovery call. The app side of this stage is a website, a lead magnet that delivers the recording, and a booking page. Clients do not install anything yet, but whatever they sign up with should be the same system that later holds their program.
Enroll: booking, payment and an agreement before the first session
Enrolment is where breathwork differs from many coaching niches. Because some techniques change carbon dioxide levels, heart rate and emotional arousal, responsible coaches ask health questions before the first session and set expectations in writing. That means intake questions on the booking form, a coaching agreement with e-signature, and payment for a package or a monthly membership. If these live in a separate tool, the answers are rarely in front of you during the session.
Deliver: daily practice, lessons and check-ins between sessions
This is the stage clients feel most. A typical week for a breathwork client looks like this: a guided morning practice of five to fifteen minutes, a quick morning check-in on mood or energy, a lesson or recording that introduces the next technique, an evening check-in or short journal entry, a message to the coach when a session brings something up, and one live group breathing session. The app needs daily habits with streaks, check-ins, a course or program view with audio and video, direct messages, and calendar reminders that actually reach the client.
Retain: community, progress and the next offer
Breathwork practice fades when the structure ends. Retention comes from a community feed where clients share what they noticed, recurring group sessions, visible progress (streaks, goals, completed lessons) and a clear next program or membership. An app that holds all of this gives clients a reason to keep opening it after week six.
Which apps cover each stage of the breathwork client journey?
Only one app on this list covers all four stages with a client-facing mobile app. Our ranking criteria, in one line: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery (habits, check-ins, lessons), total stack cost, and setup effort, including Coachful's free white-glove build.

How do the seven apps compare at a glance?
Here is the short version: native app status, the starting price for a small breathwork practice, and the one job each app does best. Vendor prices are as listed in October 2026.
| App | Rank | Native client app | Starting price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | #1 | iPhone and Android, your branding inside the Coachful app | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Daily practice programs plus the whole business in one login |
| Mighty Networks | #2 | Mighty-branded member apps; your own app only on Mighty Pro | $95/mo ($79/mo annual), plus 2% fee on Launch | Large breathwork communities and livestreams |
| Circle | #3 | Branded mobile apps only on Circle Plus (custom price) | $89/mo billed annually, plus 2% fee on Professional | Polished membership communities with courses |
| Practice Better | #4 | Yes, "Better by Practice Better" on iOS and Android | Free for 3 clients; Starter $35/mo for 10 clients | Practitioners who need charting and telehealth |
| Paperbell | #5 | None; mobile browser only | $97/mo ($80.83/mo annual) | Simple 1:1 packages, contracts and payments |
| Skool | #6 | Yes, from the app stores | $9/mo Hobby (10% + 30¢ per transaction) | Low-cost group classroom and community |
| ABC Trainerize | #7 | Yes, a fitness client app | Free for 1 client; Pro $25/mo for 5 clients | Breathwork inside fitness or performance coaching |
How did we choose and rank these apps?
We ranked apps on what a breathwork client does on their phone between sessions, then on what the coach has to run behind it. We did not test each app hands-on; we worked from what each vendor documents on its own pages and pricing pages in October 2026, and from what public reviewers report.
- Daily practice and check-ins. Can the coach assign a daily practice as a habit, ask a morning and evening question, and see the answers?
- Program and lesson access. Can clients follow a multi-week program with audio and video lessons that unlock over time?
- Messaging and community. Is there a private line to the coach and a group space for cohorts?
- Reminders. Do session reminders reach the client by email, SMS or WhatsApp?
- Progress tracking. Do clients see streaks, goals and completed lessons?
- Branding and availability. Is there a native iPhone and Android app, and how much of it carries the coach's brand?
- Back-office connection. Are booking, payment, agreements and the client record in the same system as the app?
- Total cost. What does the full stack cost once the gaps are filled with other tools?
Tools without any native client app were not excluded, because some breathwork coaches deliver mostly live and only need admin. They were marked down on client experience, and we say so in each section.
1. Coachful: the best app for breathwork coaches who run programs

Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login. The client has one app on iPhone and Android, which shows the coach's branding inside the Coachful app. It is not your own App Store listing, and clients find it under Coachful's listing; once they sign in, they see your practice, your programs and your community.
What the client sees each day
For breathwork, the core of Coachful is the multi-week program. A coach builds a program with weekly goals, daily tasks and habits, then attaches morning and evening check-ins. A client on a six-week foundations program might see a daily habit called "Morning resonance breathing, 10 minutes", a task to listen to this week's lesson, and a morning check-in asking how rested they feel. Streaks and goal progress bars show them how consistent they have been, which matters in a practice where results build slowly.

Lessons sit in courses with modules, drip scheduling and completion tracking, so week three's technique only appears in week three. Coachful's resource types include courses, audio, videos, podcasts, worksheets, downloads, books and AI tools, which suits a niche where most content is guided recordings. Everything is delivered into the client's branded home and app.

Check-ins are built as coaching flows. Coaches can start from Welcome, Daily and Weekly flows, or from journey templates, and adjust the questions. The short walkthrough below shows how check-ins are set up and what the coach sees when answers come in.

Group breathwork, community and messages
Breathwork works well in groups, and Coachful treats groups as part of the program rather than a separate product. When a client enrolls in a program, they are added automatically to a cohort group. The community has a feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, so a weekly live breathing circle, the replay, the discussion afterwards and a private message to the coach all happen in one app. Coachful also supports group calls and webinars for larger sessions. See group coaching software for how cohorts are structured.

Booking, intake and agreements behind the app
The back office is what keeps a breathwork practice safe and organised. Booking pages support availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync and built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Intake questions on booking let you ask about medical conditions, pregnancy or a history of panic attacks before the first session. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp 1 hour before once messaging is enabled.
Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time packages, monthly memberships, payment plans, coupons, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so only Stripe or Razorpay processing applies. Current plans: (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, monthly plans cancel in one click, and there is a free trial.
The coach's view of each client
Every client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, plus an AI briefing and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. For a breathwork coach, "quiet" is the useful one: it surfaces the client whose morning practice streak broke four days ago, so you can check in before they drop off. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from live practice data, briefs you before sessions, drafts emails and can build program outlines; questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership, while confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. If you hold or are working toward an ICF credential, Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds.
Attracting new breathwork clients
The section-based website builder includes a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking. A common breathwork setup is a free recorded session as a lead magnet, an email sequence that explains the method over a week, and a booking link for a discovery call. The calm wellness templates fit the niche well.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, a coach picks "We'll build it for you" and describes what they want: a website, a funnel, a program, a course outline with written material, a check-in flow, an email sequence or a lead quiz. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording your guided sessions, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent example: a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had their homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Where Coachful falls short for breathwork
Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It has no PayPal and no permanent free plan. It does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available, so heart-rate variability data from a wearable will not flow in automatically; clients can report it in a check-in instead. The client app ships under Coachful's listing, not your own. Coachful has a Trustpilot rating of 4.5 from 21 reviews.
Choose Coachful if you deliver structured breathwork programs with daily practice between sessions and want booking, payment, agreements, lessons, check-ins and community in one app your clients actually open. Health-focused practices can also see Coachful for health coaches, and spiritually oriented breathwork practices Coachful for spiritual coaches.
2. Mighty Networks: is it the best app for a large breathwork community?

Yes, if community is the product. Mighty Networks combines community, courses and events in one platform, and members use Mighty-branded apps. For a breathwork teacher running a large membership with weekly livestreamed sessions, its Launch plan includes 3 hosts, 10 moderators, 200 GB of storage and 20 hours a month of livestreaming for up to 100 attendees, as listed in October 2026.
The pricing is $95 a month, or $79 a month billed annually, for Launch; Scale is $215 a month ($179 annual) with 30 livestream hours and 200 attendees; Growth is $354 a month billed annually. Mighty also takes a platform fee on sales: 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, on top of Stripe processing. A 14-day trial needs no card.
The gap for breathwork coaches is the individual client. Mighty Networks has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. You can host a course on box breathing and a weekly live session, but you cannot assign one client a daily practice and see whether they did it. Intake health questions and signed agreements also live elsewhere. A fully branded app, under your own name, is only available on the custom-priced Mighty Pro plan. Public reviewers on Trustpilot rate it 3.3 from 219 reviews (seen October 2026).
For a mostly group-based breathwork business with hundreds of members, those trade-offs can be worth it. For a coach who mixes 1:1 work with small cohorts, the missing client layer means a second tool and a second login. Read our guide to community platforms for coaches for the wider comparison.
Pick it over Coachful if your breathwork business is primarily a large paid community with livestreams, and you do not need per-client practice tracking or 1:1 booking.
3. Circle: a polished community, without the coaching layer

Circle is a community platform with courses, events, live streams and paid memberships. For a breathwork teacher who wants a calm, well-organised space with separate areas for beginners, advanced practitioners and replays, Circle's spaces model works well.
Circle's Professional plan is $89 a month billed annually, with 3 admins and 10 moderators; Business is $199 a month annually and Scale $419 a month annually, as listed in October 2026. Circle takes 2% of payments on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus, plus Stripe processing. A 14-day trial needs no card. Branded mobile apps under your own name are only included on the custom-priced Circle Plus plan.
Like Mighty Networks, Circle has no 1:1 scheduling or client management back office and no per-client habits, check-ins or coaching plans. A breathwork client could join a live session and watch a course, but the coach cannot see that one client has skipped five days of practice or flagged dizziness in a check-in. You would pair Circle with a booking and payments tool, which pushes the total stack cost above its sticker price. Circle holds a Trustpilot rating of 4.1 from 129 reviews (seen October 2026).
Circle suits a coach whose clients are self-directed practitioners who mainly want content and peers. It is weaker for programs where the coach's attention to each client is the value.
Pick it over Coachful if you want a premium-feeling community with courses for self-guided members and you already have, or do not need, a separate 1:1 coaching system.
4. Practice Better: for breathwork practitioners who also chart

Practice Better is practice management software for wellness and nutrition practitioners, and it has a real native app. Its mobile app, Better by Practice Better, is available to practitioners and their clients on iOS and Android, according to the vendor's own mobile app page in October 2026. That puts it ahead of several coaching tools for the client experience.
Its strength is clinical-style structure: scheduling, telehealth, charting, billing, programs and a client portal. For a breathwork practitioner who also works as a nutritionist, nurse or therapist and needs session notes in a charting format, that matters. Pricing as listed in October 2026: Sprout is free for 3 clients; Starter is $35 a month ($25 annual) for 10 clients; Professional is $69 a month ($59 annual) for 300 clients; Plus is $99 a month ($89 annual) for unlimited clients; Team is $155 a month. Payments run through Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe.
The catches for a breathwork coach are in the tiers. Evergreen programs, portal branding, a custom URL and SMS only start on Plus at $99 a month, and below Team there is one practitioner per account. There is no website builder or funnel pages, so attracting new clients happens in another tool. Practice Better's Trustpilot rating is 3.8 from 87 reviews (seen October 2026). For a deeper look at the client side, see our Practice Better app guide.
Pick it over Coachful if you are a licensed practitioner who needs charting and telehealth more than a website, funnels and community, and you are comfortable with a separate site for marketing.
5. Paperbell: does a breathwork coach need a native app at all?

Paperbell answers that question with a no. It is an all-in-one admin tool for solo coaches covering booking, packages, payments, contracts, a client portal and a simple website, and it has no native mobile app; clients use it in a mobile browser. For a breathwork coach who mainly sells 1:1 packages delivered live on video, that can be enough.
The price is simple: one plan at $97 a month, or $80.83 a month billed annually, with unlimited clients, sessions, files and packages, as listed in October 2026. Paperbell states no additional transaction fees, with Stripe or PayPal processing fees applying. Its help center (July 2026) described a 7-day trial in which the public site is offline and client messages and SMS are switched off; there is a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Between sessions, though, there is little for the client to do. Paperbell has no courses or LMS, no community and no goal or habit tracking, so the daily practice that drives breathwork results has nowhere to live. You would need to send recordings by email or host them on another platform. Paperbell holds a 3.5 rating on Trustpilot from 14 reviews (seen October 2026). If you are comparing admin tools of this type, see our Paperbell alternatives roundup.
Pick it over Coachful if you only sell live 1:1 breathwork sessions, want one flat price per coach, need PayPal, and your clients do not need an app between sessions.
6. Skool: a low-cost classroom and community app

Skool puts a community, a classroom and a calendar into one group, and members can get its app from the app stores. Gamified leaderboards reward participation, which some breathwork teachers use to encourage daily posting about practice. The appeal is the entry price: Hobby is $9 a month ($7.50 annual) and Pro is $99 a month ($82.50 annual), both with unlimited members, courses, videos and live calls, as listed in October 2026.
The fees are the fine print. Payments run only through Skool Payments: Hobby charges 10% + 30¢ on every transaction, and Pro charges 2.9% + 30¢ up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900. On a $300 six-week breathwork program, the Hobby fee alone is $30.30 per sale (an example calculation from the listed rates). The trial length and card requirement were not stated on the pricing page in October 2026.
For coaching, Skool is thin. It has no 1:1 client records, intake forms, habits or check-ins, no custom-domain website, funnels or email automation, and no public API. You cannot collect health screening answers before a first session or see an individual's practice. Public reviewers rate it 1.6 on Trustpilot from 54 reviews (seen October 2026).
Pick it over Coachful if you want the cheapest possible start for a no-cost or low-price breathwork group, and the community and course library matter more than individual coaching.
7. ABC Trainerize: breathwork inside a fitness program

ABC Trainerize is a fitness and personal-training app with workouts, habits, nutrition tracking and messaging, priced by client seats. It earns a place here for one kind of breathwork coach: the performance or fitness coach who teaches breathing alongside training, for recovery, endurance or stress before competition. Clients get a habit tracker and a message thread with the coach in the app.
Pricing as listed in October 2026: Basic is free for 1 client; Grow is $10 a month for 2 clients; Pro starts at $25 a month for 5 clients, with tiers at 15, 30, 50, 75, 100 and 200 clients; Studio Plus is $275 a month. The 30-day trial includes unlimited clients and needs no card, then reverts to the free 1-client plan.
The add-on model is the main drawback. Scheduling, selling products, payments, video and advanced nutrition are separate paid add-ons below Studio, so a breathwork coach who wants to sell a package and host live sessions pays for several extras. There is no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing, which makes a structured, lesson-based breathwork program harder to deliver. An older profile notes that client data export is incomplete, with no messages, photos or attachments. Trainerize holds a 3.1 Trustpilot rating from 100 reviews (seen October 2026). For fitness-led coaches, compare it with Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack, which adds a workout builder, logging and nutrition targets alongside programs.
Pick it over Coachful if breathwork is a small add-on to a personal-training business and you mainly need workout programming with a habit or two.
Which client-facing features does each app actually include?
The matrix below compares only the client experience: what a breathwork client can do on their phone. "Not noted" means the feature is not part of what we could verify for that vendor.
| App | Native app | Daily habits and check-ins | Lessons and recordings | 1:1 messaging | Group and community | Session reminders | Progress tracking |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | iPhone and Android, coach's branding inside Coachful's app | Habits, streaks, morning and evening check-ins | Courses with drip, videos, audio resources | Direct messages | Feed, group chat, cohort groups, video events | Email; SMS (24 h) and WhatsApp (1 h) once messaging is enabled | Goals with progress bars, streaks, course completion |
| Mighty Networks | Mighty-branded apps; own app on Mighty Pro | No per-client habits or check-ins | Courses, events, livestreams | Not noted | Strong community | Not noted | Not per client |
| Circle | Own branded apps on Circle Plus only | No per-client habits or check-ins | Courses, events, live streams | Not noted | Strong community spaces | Not noted | Not per client |

| ABC Trainerize | Yes | Habits | No course builder; video is an add-on | Messaging | Not noted | Scheduling is an add-on | Habits and workout tracking |
What does a day look like for a client using Coachful's app?
Here is an illustrative example, not a real client. Imagine Lena, three weeks into a six-week breathwork program for stress and sleep that her coach built in Coachful.

- 7:00, morning check-in. Lena opens the app with her coach's branding and answers the morning check-in: sleep quality, energy, one word for her mood. It takes under a minute.
- 7:05, daily practice. Her habit for the week, "Slow breathing, 10 minutes", sits under today's tasks. She plays this week's guided recording from the course, then ticks the habit. Her streak moves to 16 days.
- 12:30, a lesson. Week three's lesson has unlocked on schedule: a short video on extending the exhale before difficult conversations, with a one-page worksheet to download.
- 17:00, a message. A session earlier in the week brought up some emotion, so Lena sends her coach a direct message. The coach replies that evening and suggests a gentler variation.
- 18:00, a reminder. WhatsApp tells her the weekly group breathing circle starts in an hour. She joins the video event from the app with her cohort, which was created automatically when she enrolled.
- 21:30, evening check-in. Before bed she logs how calm she feels and whether she practised the extended exhale. She posts one line in the cohort feed about falling asleep faster.
On the coach's side, Lena's record shows a thriving status, her check-in answers over three weeks and her goal progress. Another client in the same cohort has gone quiet for four days, so the coach sends a short note. Before Lena's next 1:1 session, Michelle's briefing summarises what changed since the last call.

What does a breathwork app stack cost, all-in-one or assembled?
An all-in-one app usually costs less than an assembled stack once you add the tools needed to cover all four stages. The figures below are examples built from list prices as listed in October 2026, before payment processing, for a coach with about 15 active clients plus a small group program.
| Stack | Tools | Monthly list price (example) | Extra platform fees | Logins for the client |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful (all-in-one) | Coachful for site, funnels, booking, payments, agreements, programs, check-ins, courses, community, email | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | 0% platform fee; Stripe or Razorpay processing only | 1 app |
| Community-led | Mighty Networks Launch + Paperbell | $95 + $97 = $192 | 2% Mighty fee on community sales | 2 (app + browser portal) |
| Practitioner-led | Practice Better Plus + Circle Professional (annual) | $99 + $89 = $188 | 2% Circle fee on community payments | 2 apps |
| Budget | Skool Hobby + Paperbell | $9 + $97 = $106 | 10% + 30¢ on every Skool sale | 2 (app + browser portal) |
Two things are missing from the assembled rows. None of them includes a website with funnels and email sequences except Paperbell's simple site, so most coaches add a site builder and an email tool on top. And none of the assembled stacks gives one client record that shows intake answers, payments, daily practice and community activity together. The cost is not only the subscription; it is the hour a week spent copying information between tools.
To work out your own figure, list every job across the four stages, write the tool and price next to each, add percentage fees on your expected monthly sales, then compare. If you are weighing branded app options more broadly, see what to check before buying a custom branded coaching app and coaching portals with a mobile app.
How do you move breathwork clients to a new app without losing them?
Move in one program cycle, tell clients exactly what to install, and keep the old tool running until the last active package ends.
- Export first. Pull your client list, notes, intake answers and recordings from your current tools. Check what each export includes; an older profile of Trainerize, for example, notes that messages, photos and attachments are not exported.
- Let the setup be done for you. With Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the free white-glove service can rebuild your site, funnel or program outline from your existing material.
- Connect your own payment account. Coachful takes payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account. Check with your processor how existing subscriptions move before you cancel anything in the old tool.
- Start new cohorts in the new app. Rather than moving clients mid-program, enroll the next cohort in the new app and let current clients finish where they are.
- Send a one-page install guide. Tell clients to download the Coachful app on iPhone or Android, sign in with the email address they use with you, and look for your branding inside. Include a screenshot of the first screen they will see.
- Re-send agreements and intake questions. Use the move as a chance to update your health screening questions and have every client sign the current agreement.
If you ever leave, Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses) plus a course export.
What mistakes do breathwork coaches make when choosing an app?
- Buying a community app for a coaching business. Community platforms are excellent at groups and weak at individuals. If your value is personal attention, you need per-client habits and check-ins.
- Skipping health screening. An app without intake questions on booking pushes screening into email, where answers get lost. Ask before the first session, every time.
- Ignoring percentage fees. A 2% to 10% platform fee looks small until a launch month. Add it to the monthly price before comparing.
- Assuming "branded app" means your own App Store listing. Many coaching apps, Coachful included, put your branding inside their app. Your own listing usually means a custom-priced tier, as with Mighty Pro or Circle Plus.
- Uploading recordings with no structure. A library of 40 breathing tracks overwhelms beginners. Drip one technique per week inside a program.
- Expecting wearable data. If you rely on heart-rate variability readings, confirm the app actually syncs with the device. Coachful does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, so clients would enter readings in a check-in.
Where does breathwork coaching stop and medical care begin?
Breathwork coaching is not medical or psychological treatment, and no app changes that. Coaches teach breathing practices for wellbeing, focus and stress management; they do not diagnose or treat conditions. Research is encouraging but still developing: a 2023 meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials in Scientific Reports found breathwork was associated with lower self-reported stress than control conditions (Fincham et al., 2023), and a randomised study in Cell Reports Medicine found brief daily structured breathing improved mood (Balban et al., 2023).
Refer a client to a physician or licensed mental health professional before or alongside coaching when they report heart conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure, epilepsy, pregnancy, a history of fainting, panic disorder, trauma symptoms that overwhelm them in sessions, or any new or worsening symptom. Faster, more intense breathing styles call for particular care. Our guides to somatic breathwork approaches and safe choices and breathwork for focus and the evidence behind it go further. Because Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, keep clinical records in a system designed for them.
What is the verdict on the best app for breathwork coaches?
Coachful is the best app for breathwork coaches who deliver programs, because it is the only option here that gives clients daily habits, morning and evening check-ins, drip-fed lessons, messages and a cohort community in one iPhone and Android app, with booking, intake, agreements and payments behind it. Mighty Networks and Circle are the better choice for large, mostly self-directed communities. Practice Better fits practitioners who chart. Paperbell works for live-only 1:1 work without an app. Skool is the cheapest group start, and ABC Trainerize suits breathwork inside fitness coaching.
What Coachful is, in brief. A coaching platform with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client, covering website, funnels, email, booking, payments, agreements, programs, courses, community and an AI assistant. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than single sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six tools. It does not offer HIPAA compliance, PayPal, a permanent free plan, wearable sync or your own App Store listing. To start, take a free trial and request the free white-glove build so your first program and site are set up for you. Compare all plans, or read how to create a coaching app without developers.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best app for breathwork coaches?
For coaches who run structured programs, Coachful's client app is our pick because it combines daily practice habits, check-ins, lessons, messages and community with booking and payments in one login. If your business is mainly a large community with livestreams, Mighty Networks or Circle may suit you better. We make Coachful, so compare the criteria above against your own practice.
Is the Coachful client app available on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Clients download the Coachful app on iPhone or Android and see your branding inside it. It is not published under your own App Store account, which keeps setup simple and avoids app store submission work.
Can clients play guided breathwork recordings in the app?
Yes. Coachful supports courses with modules and drip scheduling, videos and audio resources, delivered into the client's branded home and app. You record your own guided sessions; Coachful does not supply stock content.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a done-for-you build included on every plan. You describe what you need, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.
Which breathwork apps have no native mobile app?
Of the seven here, Paperbell has no native app and runs in a mobile browser. Among other coaching back-office tools, CoachAccountable and Satori are also listed without a native mobile app in older profiles. Mighty Networks and Circle have apps, but your own branded app needs their custom-priced top tiers.
Can I screen breathwork clients for health conditions before the first session?
Yes, in Coachful you can add intake questions to the booking form and send a coaching agreement with e-signature before the first call; both are stored on the client record. Screening helps you decide when to refer a client to a doctor, but it does not make coaching a substitute for medical care.
Does Coachful sync heart-rate variability from wearables?
No. Coachful does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. Clients can record readings in a daily check-in if you want to track them.
Is Coachful HIPAA compliant for breathwork therapists?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not suitable for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Licensed practitioners who need that should use a clinical system for records.
Do community apps like Skool or Circle take a cut of my sales?
Yes, as listed in October 2026. Skool charges 10% + 30¢ per transaction on Hobby and 2.9% + 30¢ (3.9% above $900) on Pro; Circle takes 0.5% to 2% depending on plan; Mighty Networks takes 0.5% to 2%. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee, with only Stripe or Razorpay processing.
Can I run live group breathwork sessions inside the app?
Yes. Coachful's community includes video events, group calls and webinars, and cohort groups are created automatically when clients enroll in a program. Session reminders go by email, plus SMS and WhatsApp once messaging is enabled.
