How to Start a Breathwork Coaching Business: A 90-Day Plan

Here is how to start a breathwork coaching business: get trained and set a clear scope (coaching, not treatment), choose one client and one problem, package your work into multi-week programs instead of single sessions, set prices from your hours and your income target, set up the legal basics (structure, EIN, insurance, a coaching agreement with a health screen), put booking, payments, delivery and your website on one platform, then win your first 10 clients through local partners, free live breath sessions and direct conversations. Most of the work after launch is retention: daily practice, check-ins and a community that keeps people breathing between calls.
This guide is for people who have already decided to coach breath and now need the business around it. It covers the money math, the paperwork, the tools and a 30/60/90-day plan. If you want the general version for any niche first, read how to start a coaching business in 2026.
What are the steps, at a glance?
Ten steps take you from trained practitioner to a working practice. The time column is a realistic range for someone working on this part time; costs either come from official sources or are left for you to quote, because they vary by state and provider.
| Step | What you produce | Time | Typical cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Training and scope | A written scope statement and a health screening checklist | Ongoing; 1 week to write the documents | Your training fees (varies widely) |
| 2. Client and problem | One sentence: who you help, with what, by when | 2 to 5 days | $0 |
| 3. Offer | 2 or 3 packages with outcomes, length and format | 1 week | $0 |
| 4. Pricing | Package prices backed by hours and an income target | 1 to 2 days | $0 |
| 5. Legal setup | Business structure, EIN, licenses checked | 1 to 3 weeks | EIN $0 from the IRS; state filing fees vary |
| 6. Insurance and agreement | Professional liability quote, coaching agreement, intake screen | 1 to 2 weeks | Quote-based |
| 7. Platform | Booking, payments, programs, client app in one place | A few days | Monthly subscription (see the cost table) |
| 8. Website and funnel | Home, About, Work With Me, a free-session funnel | 1 to 2 weeks | Included in most coaching platforms |
| 9. First 10 clients | A partner list, a weekly free session, a follow-up script | Weeks 4 to 12 | Your time; optional venue hire |
| 10. Delivery and retention | A practice program with habits, check-ins and a group | Built once, refined monthly | Included in your platform |
Is breathwork coaching a viable business?
Yes, if you sell a clear outcome to a defined group and stay inside a coaching scope. People pay for breathwork when it is tied to something they already care about: calmer evenings, better sleep routines, focus at work, composure before competition or public speaking, or a steadier relationship with stress.
Who pays for breathwork coaching?
- Individuals with a stress or focus goal. Professionals, parents and students who want a daily practice and someone to keep them honest about it.
- Athletes and active people. Runners, climbers, swimmers on dry land, and people who use breath work around training and recovery.
- Teams and employers. HR and people teams buy workshops and short series for staff wellbeing programs.
- Studios and venues. Yoga studios, gyms, saunas and retreat hosts book facilitators for workshops and recurring classes.
- Other coaches and practitioners. Life, health and performance coaches who want breath tools for their own clients, which can later become a training offer.
What does the research let you say?
There is real evidence you can cite, and it comes with limits you should repeat. A 2023 meta-analysis in Scientific Reports pooled 12 randomised controlled trials with 785 adults and found breathwork was associated with lower self-reported stress than control conditions, with a small-to-medium effect; similar effects showed up for self-reported anxiety and depressive symptoms. The authors also noted an "unprecedented surge in public interest" and urged caution "to avoid a miscalibration between hype and evidence" (Fincham and colleagues, PubMed). A Stanford randomised study the same year compared three daily 5-minute breathing practices with mindfulness meditation over one month and found exhale-focused cyclic sighing produced greater improvement in mood and a larger drop in respiratory rate (Balban and colleagues, PubMed).
That gives you honest marketing language: breathwork "may help" with everyday stress, short daily practice is the point, and the evidence is still developing. It does not let you promise to cure anxiety, fix insomnia or replace therapy.
What is in scope, and when do you refer?
Breathwork coaching is not medical or mental health treatment. You teach breathing practices, help clients build the habit and coach them toward non-clinical goals. You do not diagnose, treat or manage medical or psychiatric conditions. Refer to a physician or licensed mental health professional when a client discloses a condition you are not qualified to work with, reports symptoms during or after practice that worry them, describes trauma that surfaces strongly in sessions, or mentions thoughts of self-harm (in that case, give crisis line information immediately).
Your intake should ask about pregnancy, epilepsy or seizures, heart conditions and blood pressure, recent surgery, eye conditions such as glaucoma, panic attacks, and any psychiatric diagnosis or medication. Intense styles with fast breathing or long breath holds need more caution than slow, exhale-focused practice. Set two rules in writing for every client: never practice breath holds in or near water, and never practice while driving. For safer technique choices, see breathwork in coaching: focus, evidence and safer choices and somatic breathwork for coaches.
Do you need a credential?
Choose a training that includes supervised practice, safety screening and trauma-informed facilitation; that is what protects clients and what insurers and corporate buyers ask about. States license counselors and psychologists, not the words "breathwork coach", but scope-of-practice laws still govern what you do: diagnosing and treating mental or medical conditions is reserved for licensed professionals. If your method uses hands-on touch, ask whether your state's massage or bodywork rules apply. Check your state licensing boards or ask an attorney. A coaching credential (such as ICF's) is optional and helps if you want to sell to employers.
Who is your client, and what will you sell them?
Pick one person and one problem, then build two or three packages that lead from a small first step to a longer commitment. "Breathwork for everyone" is hard to market; "a six-week breath practice for managers who lie awake replaying work" is easy to refer.
Write a one-line positioning statement: I help [who] go from [current state] to [result] in [time] through [method]. For example: "I help new managers move from wired evenings to a steady 10-minute wind-down routine in six weeks, through coached breath practice and daily check-ins."
Single drop-in sessions are the hardest way to earn a living from breath, because the benefit comes from repetition and the client has no reason to come back. Packages fix both problems. Here are three example packages that work well together:
- Breath Reset (1:1, 6 weeks). An intake call with health screen, six 60-minute video sessions, a daily 5 to 10 minute practice tracked as a habit, morning and evening check-ins, and recorded practices to follow at home.
- Calm Under Pressure (group cohort, 8 weeks). Eight weekly 75-minute live group sessions for 8 to 12 people, a private community feed, a practice library delivered as a short course, and a weekly reflection.
- Team Breath Series (workplace, 4 sessions). Four 45-minute sessions for a team, delivered live or on video, plus a 21-day practice program staff can follow on their phones.
You can add a low-priced on-ramp later, such as a recorded practice course or a monthly membership with one live group breath session per week. Start with one package, sell it, then add the next. If you are still choosing a model, 10 coaching business models compared lays out the trade-offs, and coaching packages shows how packages are set up in Coachful.

How should you price breathwork coaching?
Price from the hours a package really takes and the income you need, then sanity-check against what your clients already spend on wellbeing. Count everything: live time, prep, reviewing check-ins, messages and admin. The table below uses example prices to show the math; they are illustrations, not market rates.
| Example package | Example price | Hours you spend | Effective hourly rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Breath Reset, 1:1, 6 weeks | $600 per client | 6 h live + 1.5 h prep + 1 h reviewing check-ins = 8.5 h | About $71 |
| Calm Under Pressure, group of 10, 8 weeks | $300 per person = $3,000 | 10 h live + 8 h community and prep + 4 h setup = 22 h | About $136 |
| Team Breath Series, 4 sessions | $1,500 per team | 3 h live + 4 h prep + 2 h admin = 9 h | About $167 |
Those effective rates are before payment processing fees and taxes. If you are a US sole proprietor or single-member LLC, remember self-employment tax is 15.3% on net earnings (12.4% Social Security plus 2.9% Medicare), on top of income tax (IRS). A common habit is moving a fixed share of every payment into a tax account the day it lands; your accountant can tell you what share fits your situation.
Then work backwards from a target. In this example, if you want $5,000 a month in revenue, you could reach it with one group cohort ($3,000 spread over two months, so $1,500 a month), two team series ($3,000) and one new 1:1 client ($600) each month. Fewer, larger engagements cut your hours; the group and team rows show why. Track the result monthly with the six KPIs worth reviewing each month.
What legal setup does a breathwork coach need?
You need a business structure, a tax ID if you form an entity, any local licenses, insurance and a written coaching agreement with a health screen. Requirements vary by state and country, so treat this as a checklist to take to an accountant or attorney.
Business structure and tax ID
A sole proprietorship is automatic once you start doing business without registering another structure. The SBA calls it "a good choice for low-risk businesses and owners who want to test their business idea", but it offers no separate entity, so you can be held personally liable for business debts. An LLC protects owners from personal liability "in most instances", though members still pay self-employment tax; an LLC can later elect S corp tax treatment (SBA: choose a business structure). Because breathwork has a physical element, ask an attorney whether an LLC fits your state and situation.
If you form an LLC, file with your state first, then get an EIN. The IRS issues it online "in minutes for free", and "You never have to pay a fee for an EIN" (IRS: get an EIN). Ignore any website that charges for one.
Licenses and permits
The SBA notes that "Most small businesses need a combination of licenses and permits from both federal and state agencies", with city and county requirements depending on your activity and location (SBA: licenses and permits). If you will run in-person sessions from a rented room or your home, check local business license and zoning rules.
Insurance
Professional liability insurance is for "Businesses that provide services to customers" and "protects against financial loss as a result of malpractice, errors, and negligence"; general liability matters if you teach in person (SBA: business insurance). When you request quotes, describe exactly which techniques you teach, whether sessions are online, in person or both, and whether you work with groups. Studios and employers may ask for a certificate of insurance before booking you. The SBA also reminds owners that an LLC's protection "has limits", which is why the entity and the insurance work together.
Coaching agreement and health screen
Every client signs before the first session. Your agreement should state the coaching scope and the not-treatment line, the client's responsibility to consult their doctor, the contraindication questions and their answers, the water and driving rules, what happens if they feel unwell during practice, session and cancellation terms, payment and refund terms, confidentiality and its limits, and recording consent if you record calls. In Coachful, agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. More on this at coaching contracts.

Taxes, marketing rules and data
- Taxes. US sole proprietors report on Schedule C (IRS: Schedule C). You owe self-employment tax once net earnings reach $400, and you generally must pay estimated tax if you expect to owe $1,000 or more (IRS: estimated taxes). The remaining 2026 due date is January 15, 2027 (Form 1040-ES).
- Testimonials. The FTC says endorsements "must be honest and not misleading", and testimonials showing exceptional results need proof that they are what people generally achieve, or the ad must make the typical result clear (FTC Endorsement Guides). Fake reviews are banned outright under the Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule, in effect since October 21, 2024 (FTC). A client saying "I sleep better" is fine; "my panic attacks are gone" is a health claim you should not publish.
- Email. Your newsletter needs a physical postal address, a clear opt-out and opt-outs honored within 10 business days (FTC CAN-SPAM guide).
- Training other facilitators later. If you ever sell a program promising people they can earn money as breathwork facilitators, earnings claims carry extra rules, including the FTC's Business Opportunity Rule where it applies.
- Health data. Intake answers about medical conditions are sensitive. Collect only what you need for safety, store it in one place and do not keep clinical records. Coachful is GDPR-ready but not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it suits coaching, not clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
What tech stack does a breathwork coaching business need?
You need six things: booking, payments, agreements, program delivery between sessions, a website with a lead funnel, and email. We make Coachful, and we built it so those six live under one login for you and one branded app for your clients, which is why we recommend it as the home for a breathwork practice.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, and for solo coaches growing into a small team.
What it does not do. It is not HIPAA-certified, it does not take PayPal, and there is no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. It does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, so if you coach with HRV wearables, clients will report numbers in check-ins rather than syncing them.
What does each part replace?
Many new coaches assemble a stack from separate tools. Here is what that looks like, using prices as listed in October 2026, against a single Coachful plan. Each separate tool is good at its own job; the cost is in the number of logins, the monthly total and the gaps between them.
| Option | What it covers | Monthly price as listed |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Booking, payments, agreements, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, website, funnels, email, AI assistant | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients |
| Calendly Standard | Booking pages and reminders only | $10 per seat (billed annually) |
| Acuity Scheduling Starter | Scheduling with intake forms and packages | $20 ($16 billed annually) |
| HoneyBook Essentials | Proposals, contracts, invoices, scheduler | $59 ($49 billed annually) |
| Kit Creator | Email marketing and sequences | From $39 for up to 1,000 subscribers |
| Kajabi Basic | Courses, community, website, email | $179 ($143 billed annually) |
| Skool Hobby | Community and classroom | $9, plus 10% + 30¢ on transactions |
A typical patchwork of a scheduler, a contracts tool, an email tool and a course or community tool still leaves out the piece breathwork depends on most: a daily practice the client can tick off and you can see. In Coachful, the practice becomes a habit inside a program, check-ins arrive every morning and evening, and the client's status (thriving, active, quiet or at risk) tells you who has stopped practising before they cancel. For a wider view of every component, read online coaching business software: every piece you need.
Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee on your sales (since August 2026); you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. Lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and monthly plans cancel in one click.
Why Coachful stands out for a new practice
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you and describe what you need built: a website, a free-session funnel, a sales page for your six-week program, the program itself, an email sequence or an intake form. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent build was for a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing, who got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation, a shape that suits a breathwork practice well. Another, for a somatic coach leaving Kajabi, rebuilt the homepage and About page and connected the contact form. Read more in Coachful's white-glove service.

To start: take a free trial, then send your first build request on day one so your site and funnel are being built while you write your intake screen. Your clients, programs and content can be imported for you during onboarding if you are moving from another tool.
Inside the account, the client dashboard is where you will spend most of your week: each client's goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions sit on one record, and Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, can brief you before a session from that live data.

If you are not technical, starting a coaching business when you are not tech-savvy walks through the setup in plain steps.
How do you set up your website, booking and payments?
Keep the website to four pages and one call to action, connect booking to your calendar, and take payment at the moment someone commits. A breathwork site needs Home, About (your training and your scope statement), Work With Me (your packages) and Contact, plus privacy and terms pages.
Coachful's section-based website builder includes 30 designed homepage templates, a blog, custom domain and SEO settings; the wellness templates suit the calm, spacious look breathwork buyers expect. See the coach website builder for details.

Your homepage should answer three questions above the fold: who it is for, what changes, and what to do next. For most breathwork coaches the next step is either a free group breath session or a short discovery call. Put your scope line in the footer and on the booking page: "Breathwork coaching is educational and not a substitute for medical or mental health care."
Booking. Set availability rules, buffers between sessions (leave room for clients to settle after practice), minimum notice and time-zone detection. Calendars sync both ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook. Sessions can run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Add intake questions to the booking form so your contraindication screen is answered before the first call. Email reminders are built in, with SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp 1 hour before once messaging is enabled. More at scheduling software.
Payments. Sell each package as a one-time payment or a payment plan, sell memberships as subscriptions, and use session credits for packs of 1:1 sessions. Each transaction generates an invoice, and you can send manual invoices to employers who need one for their accounts team. See coaching payment software.

How do you get your first 10 breathwork clients?
Through people who already gather your client and trust you: studio owners, local professionals, your own network and attendees of a free live session. Paid ads are hard to justify before you have a proven offer and a few results to describe honestly.
Channels that fit breathwork
- A weekly free group breath session. Online, 30 minutes, same time every week. It is the closest thing to a free trial of your work. End with one clear invitation to a discovery call or the next cohort.
- Studios and gyms. Offer yoga studios, climbing gyms, run clubs and sauna or cold-water venues a free 45-minute workshop for their members, then a paid monthly class.
- Referral partners who refer both ways. Therapists, physiotherapists, personal trainers and sleep-focused health coaches. You send clients with clinical needs to them; they send clients who want a practice coach to you.
- Workplaces. HR and people leads at local companies, starting with anyone in your network. A single team series can be worth several 1:1 clients.
- Short practices on video. A two-minute guided exhale practice on Instagram, YouTube or LinkedIn, with a link to the free session. Show the practice, not the promise.
- Your own network. Tell 50 people what you now do, who it is for and that you are taking a small number of founding clients.
Scripts you can adapt
Studio owner: "Hi [name], I'm a breathwork coach working with [who]. I'd like to offer your members a free 45-minute session on breathing for [recovery / sleep / focus], at a time that suits your schedule. If people like it, we can talk about a monthly class. Would a date in [month] work?"
Warm network: "I've started a breathwork coaching practice for [who] who want [result]. I'm taking five founding clients for a six-week program at a founding price. Do you know anyone who'd want this, or would you like to try the free session on [day]?"
Follow-up after a free session: "Thanks for breathing with us today. You said [what they shared]. If you'd like to build that into a daily habit with support, my six-week Breath Reset starts on [date]. Here's a link to book a 20-minute call to see if it fits."
Track every conversation. Coachful's Intakes page shows total intakes, upcoming calls, conversions and conversion rate, so you can see whether your free session is doing its job.

Booking, application and lead-magnet funnels come with pixel and UTM tracking, so a "free breath session" funnel can capture an email, deliver the replay and start a follow-up sequence on its own. There are about 25 funnel templates to start from, and the email side covers lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with delays and branching. See coaching funnel software.

How do you deliver breathwork coaching so clients stay?
Make the daily practice the product and the sessions the support. The benefit comes from repetition, so the biggest risk is a client who stops practising between sessions and loses the thread. Your delivery system should make practice easy to start, easy to log and visible to you.

Build each package as a multi-week program in Coachful, with weekly goals, daily tasks and a habit such as "10-minute evening exhale practice". Morning and evening check-ins can ask simple questions: how did you sleep, how stressed are you on a 1 to 10 scale, did you practise. Streaks and goal progress bars give clients something to protect. This short walkthrough shows how check-ins are set up:

On the client side, the habit sits in their branded app, so they see the same tracker every evening.

Record your guided practices once and deliver them as a short course with modules and drip, or as audio files in a library, inside the client's branded home. More than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates give you a structure to adapt rather than a blank page. See coaching program software.
Here is how programs are put together in Coachful:
Community for cohorts. When a client enrolls in a group program, Coachful creates the cohort group automatically, with a feed, group chat and video events. Use it for a weekly prompt ("What did you notice on your exhale this week?") and to post the live session replay. See group coaching software.

A simple retention rhythm. Review check-ins twice a week and message anyone who has gone quiet for three days. At week four of a six-week program, offer the next step: a maintenance membership, the group cohort or a monthly 1:1 check-in. Ask for a testimonial at the end only after the client has had time to notice results, and quote what they actually said. If you are pursuing an ICF credential, Coachful counts your coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log.
Between sessions, Coachful's AI Coach lets selected clients chat with an AI version of you that you configure. For breathwork, keep its use conservative: practice reminders and technique questions, with anything health-related sent back to you or to the client's clinician.
What does a 30/60/90-day launch plan look like?
Spend the first month building the minimum, the second month selling it to founding clients, and the third month delivering and refining. The plan assumes you are already trained.
| Period | Focus | Actions | Done when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Days 1 to 30 | Foundation | Write scope statement and health screen; choose client and problem; build one package; form your entity and get an EIN if needed; request insurance quotes; set up platform, agreement and booking; request your website and funnel build | Someone could find you, book a call, sign and pay without you touching anything |
| Days 31 to 60 | Founding clients | Run a weekly free group session; pitch 10 studios or venues; message 50 people in your network; book discovery calls; enroll founding clients at a stated founding price | 5 founding clients signed and one partner workshop booked |
| Days 61 to 90 | Deliver and refine | Run the program; review check-ins twice a week; collect honest feedback; set your full price; open the first group cohort; pitch two workplaces | 10 paying clients across 1:1 and group, and a waitlist or next cohort date |
These targets are goals for planning, not predictions; your timeline depends on your network and how many hours you can give it. For a fill-in version of this plan, use the one-page coaching business plan template.
How much does it cost to start a breathwork coaching business?
The business setup itself can be lean; training is usually the largest cost and you may have paid it already. The figures below are an example budget to show the structure, not quotes; replace each line with your own numbers.
| Item | Lean start | Comfortable start | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Booking, payments, agreements, programs, website, funnels and email in one plan; the white-glove build is included |
| Business entity | Sole proprietorship, $0 to register in many places | LLC with state filing fee (varies by state) | Check your Secretary of State |
| EIN | $0 | $0 | Free from the IRS |
| Insurance | Professional liability | Professional plus general liability | Quote-based; get two or three quotes |
| Legal documents | Template agreement you adapt | Agreement reviewed by an attorney | Example: a one-off review fee |
| Domain | One domain | One domain | Annual registrar fee |
| Equipment | Laptop, webcam and wired headset you already own | Better microphone, lighting, mats and blankets for in-person sessions | Clear audio matters more than video for guided breath |
| Venue | Online only, or partner studios that host you | Occasional room hire for workshops | Agree splits or room fees in writing |
| Accountant | Software and your own bookkeeping | Accountant for setup and year-end | Worth it once you pay estimated tax |

What mistakes do new breathwork coaches make?
Most mistakes come from selling the technique instead of the outcome, or from skipping the safety and business basics because the work itself feels gentle.
- Leading with intense techniques. Fast breathing and long holds make a memorable first session, but slow, exhale-focused practice is safer for a stranger you have not screened, and in the Stanford study above the exhale-focused practice showed the clearest mood benefit.
- Making health claims. "Cures anxiety" or "replaces medication" is outside coaching scope and the FTC expects testimonials to reflect typical results.
- Selling single sessions. Drop-ins earn the least per hour and produce the weakest results. Lead with a program.
- No structure between sessions. Without a habit and check-ins, nothing reminds a client to practise, and you cannot see who has stopped.
- Skipping the agreement and screen. The screen protects the client; the signed agreement protects you.
- Too many tools. A scheduler, a payment link, a course tool and a group chat app mean four logins for every client and gaps nobody owns.
- Underpricing workplace work. Employers budget for workshops; price a team series as a team series, not as ten single tickets.
- Flying blind on numbers. Count free-session attendees, calls booked, conversions and renewals every month.
If growth stalls later, find the break in your coaching business walks through where it usually is.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a certification to start a breathwork coaching business?
There is no single required credential for the title, but complete a breathwork training with supervised practice, safety screening and trauma-informed facilitation before you take paying clients. Insurers, studios and employers may ask what training you have. A coaching credential is optional and helps with corporate buyers.
Can I coach clients who have anxiety?
You can teach breathing practices to people who experience everyday stress, but you cannot diagnose or treat an anxiety disorder. If a client has a diagnosed condition, ask them to check with their clinician first, keep your work to practice coaching and refer when symptoms go beyond that. Research suggests breathwork may help with self-reported stress and anxiety, but the authors themselves caution against overstating it.
Do I need an LLC?
No, a sole proprietorship starts automatically when you begin doing business. An LLC protects personal assets from business liabilities in most instances, though that protection has limits. Ask an accountant or attorney which suits your state and income.
What insurance does a breathwork coach need?
Professional liability insurance is the core cover for service businesses; add general liability if you teach in person. Describe your exact techniques and formats when you request quotes, because cover depends on what you actually do.
How much should I charge for breathwork coaching?
Price packages, not sessions. Add up the live, prep and review hours a package takes, divide your price by them, and check the effective hourly rate against your income target and tax. In the example math above, group cohorts and workplace series earn more per hour than 1:1 work.
Can breathwork coaching work online?
Yes. Slow and guided practices translate well to video, and online sessions widen your market beyond your city. Ask clients to practise somewhere safe and seated or lying down, keep cameras on during intense techniques, and have their location and an emergency contact on file.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every plan, the Coachful team builds what you describe inside your own account, such as your website, a funnel, a program or an email sequence, usually within about 24 hours. You can attach up to 8 links and 10 files. Nothing is invented for you, and it does not cover videos, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Is Coachful HIPAA compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA. It suits coaching practices that collect safety screening answers, not clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
Can clients pay by PayPal?
No. Coachful takes payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, including cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with a 0% Coachful platform fee.
How long does it take to get the first 10 clients?
It depends on your network, your niche and the hours you put in. The 90-day plan above is a planning target. A weekly free session plus direct outreach to partners is a more direct route than waiting for a website to bring people in.
