12 Best Email Marketing Platforms for Holistic Health Coaches

12 Best Email Marketing Platforms for Holistic Health Coaches

The best email marketing platforms for holistic health coaches do more than send a weekly newsletter. A holistic practice runs on a long arc: someone downloads your sleep wind-down checklist, reads three emails about how stress, food and rest connect, books a discovery call, signs up for a 12-week reset, and then needs gentle nudges between sessions and a reason to come back for the autumn reset. The deciding question is simple: does the tool know where each person is on that arc, or does it only know their email address?

Our pick is Coachful, because its email lists, broadcasts and sequences sit inside the same account that books the discovery call, takes the payment, runs the habits and check-ins, and flags clients who have gone quiet. We make Coachful, so weigh that, but we have tried to rank the other eleven tools on what they document and on how well they fit this niche. If you only want a newsletter tool, MailerLite, Flodesk and Kit are honest choices and you will find them near the top.

This guide follows the holistic client journey stage by stage (attract, enroll, deliver, retain), shows which tool covers which stage, then ranks all 12, prices two complete stacks and closes with migration tips. For the broader view across coaching niches, see our guide to email marketing for coaches, and for a shorter holistic list, our top 7 email tools for holistic health coaches.

What does a holistic health coach's client journey need from email?

It needs four different jobs done well: gather the right people with a gentle lead magnet, move them to a call and a paid program, support them between sessions, and bring them back for the next season. Most email tools are excellent at the first job and silent on the other three.

Attract: freebies that teach your philosophy

Holistic health coaches rarely sell from a cold post. They earn trust with something useful: a five-day blood-sugar-friendly breakfast guide, a caffeine taper calendar, a seasonal pantry reset, a "rest before bed" audio. The email tool needs a form or landing page, a tag for which freebie someone took, and a welcome sequence of four to seven emails that explains your whole-person approach: food, sleep, movement, stress and relationships as one system. Instagram matters here too, because many prospects first meet you in a comment thread.

Enroll: from reader to booked call to paid program

The welcome sequence should end at a discovery call. That means a booking link, intake questions (goals, current routines, what they have tried), a coaching agreement that states your scope, and checkout for a three-month package or a payment plan. When those pieces live in different tools, a reader who books a call is still tagged "subscriber" in your email list, and they keep getting "book a call" emails after they have already paid.

Deliver: support between sessions

Holistic change happens on Tuesday afternoon, not in the Thursday session. Delivery email means a weekly note tied to the program week, reminders for check-ins, a recipe or breathing practice drip, and session reminders. Ideally the client also has somewhere to log a habit (water, evening wind-down, a ten-minute walk) so your email can point to their progress instead of to a generic tip.

Retain: seasonal resets, alumni and referrals

Holistic practices have a natural rhythm: a January reset, a spring gut-health program, an autumn immunity-and-sleep series. Retention email segments past clients, invites them to the next cohort or a maintenance membership, and notices when an active client has gone quiet before they cancel.

The scope line every email has to respect

Health coaching supports behaviour change; it does not diagnose, treat or cure. Your emails should not promise to fix a condition, and your intake should route anyone who reports red flags (unexplained weight loss, chest pain, signs of disordered eating, pregnancy complications, a wish to stop prescribed medication) to their doctor or a registered dietitian. The US Federal Trade Commission's Health Products Compliance Guidance is a useful read before you write sales emails about outcomes, and the CAN-SPAM compliance guide covers unsubscribe links and sender details. If you keep clinical records, those belong in a system built for them; the HHS HIPAA pages explain when that applies. The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching publishes the profession's scope standards.

Build your platform

Which platform covers which stage of the journey?

Only the all-in-one tools cover all four stages; the email-first tools stop at enrollment or earlier. Our ranking criteria, in one line: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost for a solo holistic practice, and setup effort (Coachful's free white-glove build counts here).

One note on the ranking: Practice Better competes with Coachful more directly than any email tool does, which is why we placed it in the middle rather than near the top. Tools ranked lower are not bad; Kajabi and GoHighLevel are capable platforms that cost far more than a solo holistic practice needs for email.

1. Coachful: email that knows who your clients are

Coachful's automations screen on a laptop and a client habit tracker on a tablet on a wooden desk
Coachful's Automations screen on the laptop and the client habit tracker on the tablet, beside a glass teapot.

Coachful is a coaching platform where email is one part of a single account that also handles booking, payments, agreements, programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community and a website. For a holistic health coach, the practical difference is that every email list, broadcast and sequence draws on the same records that know whether someone is a lead, a booked call, a paying client in week six of a gut-health program, or an alumna who finished in spring.

Attract: lead magnets, funnels and Instagram

You build lead-magnet funnels (about 25 funnel templates are included) and publish them on a Coachful website with your own domain, blog and SEO settings. Your sleep checklist or breakfast guide sits behind a form, the new lead lands in the Prospects table with the form they came from, and a multi-step sequence starts. Sequences support triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits, so the person who downloaded the caffeine taper calendar can get a different second email from the person who took the pantry reset.

Instagram automations close a gap most email tools leave open. When someone comments "RESET" on a reel, Coachful can send them a DM with the lead magnet, the booking link or the checkout, and that person lands in the same lead and client records as your email subscribers. Triggers include DMs, comments (optionally only with chosen keywords), story replies, mentions and new followers where Meta supports it. The social planner then schedules posts to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube from one calendar.

Enroll: one path from email to paid program

Your welcome sequence ends at a booking page with availability rules, buffers, time-zone detection, two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync, and intake questions. Before the first call, the client receives a coaching agreement for e-signature, which is the right place for your scope statement and referral policy. Payment runs through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee on those payments; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Because the booking and the purchase update the same record your sequences read, the "book a call" emails stop once someone books.

Deliver: email plus the habits it points to

This is where Coachful separates from every email-first tool on the list. A multi-week program can carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits and morning and evening check-ins, all delivered in your branded client app. Your weekly email can say "you have logged your evening wind-down nine nights running" because the habit streak exists in the same system. Session reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. Recipes, breathing audio and short lessons can drip as a course with completion tracking.

Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it drafts emails and content, builds programs, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before a call. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. If you work with fitness or nutrition goals inside your scope, the Fitness & Nutrition pack adds nutrition targets, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and private progress photos.

Retain: catching quiet clients before they leave

Each client record shows goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. That status is the retention signal email-only tools cannot see. Past clients can stay in a community feed with group chat and video events, and enrolling a new cohort in your autumn reset creates its cohort group automatically.

Here is a short walkthrough of Coachful's email workspace:

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you" and describe what you need: a website, a lead-magnet funnel, an email sequence or newsletter, a program, a lead quiz. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours, and nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices. One recent example: a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. It does not cover recording videos, logo design or ad management. More in how the white-glove service works.

What it costs. Plans are flat monthly, lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and monthly plans cancel in one click (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). There is a free trial.

What it does not do. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so clinical records and insurance billing belong in a clinical system. There is no PayPal, no permanent free plan, and no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync. The client app is your branding inside the Coachful app, not your own App Store listing.

Who it fits. Holistic health coaches who sell programs rather than single sessions, who are tired of paying for an email tool, a scheduler, a checkout and a course host separately, and who want their emails to reflect what clients are actually doing. 2. MailerLite: the low-cost list with bookings attached

MailerLite homepage presenting its email marketing, website and landing page tools
MailerLite's homepage in October 2026.

MailerLite is the strongest pure email tool for a holistic coach on a tight budget, mainly because it bundles a booking feature. Its Bookings handle 1:1 and group sessions, free or paid through Stripe, with Google Calendar and Outlook sync, and booking questions save straight to the subscriber profile. So the reader who books your discovery call is at least visible in the same database as your newsletter list.

For the attract stage it covers forms, landing pages and a website builder, plus automations with up to 100 steps each on paid plans. You can sell a digital download such as a seasonal recipe e-book, or run a paid newsletter, with what MailerLite describes as "0% MailerLite commissions"; only Stripe's processing fee applies.

Prices as listed in October 2026: the Free plan covers up to 250 active subscribers, 2,500 emails a month, 3 active automations of 5 steps each and one active booking or digital product (the two share a limit). Comfort is $12/month for 500 subscribers ($19 at 1,000), with 50 automations and 5 bookings or products. Power starts at $25/month at 500 subscribers ($39 at 1,000) with unlimited automations and seats. Every new account gets 14 days of premium features. Trustpilot showed 4.1 from 3,391 reviews in October 2026.

The limits show up after enrollment. MailerLite has no programs, habits or check-ins, and no client portal, so delivery is email-only and you will need somewhere else to host a 12-week reset. Sending also locks on the free plan once you pass 250 active subscribers, which a holistic coach with a popular freebie can reach quickly.

Pick it over Coachful if you mostly sell single sessions or a digital guide, want the lowest possible monthly bill, and are happy to deliver programs by email and video calls alone.

3. Flodesk: when the newsletter itself is the brand

Flodesk pricing page with its plan tiers
Flodesk's pricing page in October 2026.

Plenty of holistic coaches build their audience on beautiful, slow emails: a seasonal recipe, a short reflection, one photo of the farmers' market. Flodesk is built for exactly that, with design-led templates, forms and landing pages, and a simple checkout for sales pages. If your brand is warm and visual, Flodesk makes the email look like it.

The plans as listed in October 2026: a Free plan with no subscriber limit but no email sending at all; Lite at $25/month ($19 billed annually) for up to 1,000 subscribers, one seat and a cap of 25,000 subscribers; Pro at $28/month ($25 annually) with two seats; and Everything at $54/month ($49 annually) with three seats. Each plan's base price covers 1,000 subscribers and rises from there. There is a 14-day trial with no card required. Checkout runs on Stripe at 3% + $0.30 per transaction for US, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand accounts (3% + £0.30 in the UK, 3% + €0.30 in Europe), and checkout payments work only in those regions.

For enrollment, Flodesk has no booking tool and no client records, so your discovery call lives in a separate scheduler and nobody gets untagged automatically when they book. Delivery and retention are emails only: no habits, no check-ins, no portal, no community. Trustpilot showed 4.8 from 321 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is mostly content and digital products, your newsletter's look is central to your brand, and you already have a scheduler and program host you like.

4. Kit: built for coaches who publish

Kit (formerly ConvertKit) suits the holistic coach who writes a lot: a weekly essay on cortisol and evening routines, a podcast with show notes, a free email course. Its tag-and-sequence model is clear, and its landing pages handle a lead magnet without a separate website.

As listed in October 2026, the free Newsletter plan covers up to 10,000 subscribers, which is generous for building a list. The catch for this niche is that automations and sequences require a paid plan, and a welcome sequence is the core of a holistic attract stage. Creator starts at $39/month for up to 1,000 subscribers with two team members; Pro starts at $79/month with unlimited team members, and both scale with list size. There is a 14-day trial on paid plans with no card required. Kit Commerce sells digital products at 3.5% + $0.30 per USD transaction, all-in.

Kit stops at the sale. It fulfils digital products only, with no scheduling, no client records, no session management, no course portal, no community, and no habits or check-ins. A coach selling a 90-day hormone-balance coaching program (within coaching scope) would need a scheduler, a contract tool and a delivery platform alongside it. Trustpilot showed 3.9 from 162 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if you are building a large no-cost newsletter first, plan to sell guides and email courses rather than coaching programs, and want the free tier up to 10,000 subscribers.

5. Systeme.io: the cheapest funnel suite

Systeme.io homepage presenting its all-in-one funnel, email and course builder
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

Systeme.io is a low-cost all-in-one marketing suite: funnels, email, courses, a basic community, a blog and an affiliate program. For a holistic coach who wants a lead-magnet funnel, a sales page for a self-paced gut-health course and email in one place without a monthly bill, it is hard to beat on price.

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan never expires and includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 blog, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign. Startup is $17/month (5,000 contacts, 10 funnels, 5 courses), Webinar is $47/month (10,000 contacts) and Unlimited is $97/month. There are 0% transaction fees on every plan; you pay Stripe or PayPal processing only. Trustpilot showed 4.9 from 8,696 reviews in October 2026.

The single automation rule on the free plan is the main limit for a welcome sequence, so most coaches will need Startup. Beyond that, the gaps are in delivery and enrollment: our profile data lists no native 1:1 scheduling tied to client records, no habits or check-ins, and no branded mobile app, and the same data describes its course and community tools as basic. A holistic program with daily practices would need another tool for the between-session work.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell self-paced courses and funnels, run few or no 1:1 clients, and want to start on a plan that never expires.

6. Practice Better: closer to a clinic than a newsletter

Practice Better homepage presenting its practice management platform for health practitioners
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Practice Better calls itself an all-in-one EHR (electronic health record) and serves nutritionists, dietitians, naturopathic doctors, functional medicine practitioners and health coaches. It is the closest direct substitute for Coachful on this list, and for holistic practitioners who also hold a clinical licence it has one clear advantage: its pricing page lists HIPAA, PIPEDA and GDPR compliance.

It is not really an email marketing platform. Its strengths are scheduling, telehealth video, billing and payments, secure messaging, forms and charting templates, journaling, programs and a client portal with a mobile app. Email reach comes from broadcast messaging, which the pricing page lists only on Plus (10,000 a month) and Team (30,000 a month). Lead magnets, landing pages and branching nurture sequences are not its focus, so most practitioners pair it with MailerLite or Kit for the attract stage.

Prices as listed when we checked in early November 2026: a free Sprout plan for 3 clients; Starter at $35/month ($25 billed annually) for 10 clients; Professional at $69/month ($59 annually) for 300 clients; Plus at $99/month ($89 annually) with unlimited clients, portal branding, self-paced programs and 750 SMS reminders a month; and Team at $155/month ($145 annually) with two practitioner licences. Paid plans have a 14-day trial, Team a 30-day one.

For a non-clinical holistic coach, the result is a strong delivery tool with a weak front door. You would likely pay for Plus to get broadcasts plus a separate email tool for nurture.

Pick it over Coachful if you also practise under a clinical licence, need HIPAA compliance and charting, and accept running a separate tool for list building.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

7. Brevo: email with SMS on the side

Brevo, formerly Sendinblue, is a multichannel marketing platform: email, SMS, WhatsApp, web push and live chat, plus a sales pipeline. For a holistic coach, its interest is the free plan and the option to send an SMS reminder before a group workshop from the same contact list.

From Brevo's pricing reference, generated September 2026 and checked in early November 2026: a free plan with no card needed; Starter at $9/month, which includes 5,000 emails a month for up to 500 contacts and removes the Brevo logo; Standard at $18/month, which Brevo describes as for businesses "ready to automate and test campaigns" and which adds click heatmaps and a landing page; and Professional at $499/month with WhatsApp and 10 seats. Prices rise with monthly email volume, and SMS credits are sold separately. We could not confirm the free plan's current daily sending cap from the pricing page, so check it before you plan a launch on it.

Brevo has no booking calendar, no coaching checkout, no client portal and nothing for habits or programs. It is a sending engine with good segmentation, and you would assemble everything else around it.

Pick it over Coachful if you already have a booking and delivery setup, want a cheap sender with SMS available, and are comfortable wiring tools together.

8. ActiveCampaign: deep automation, nothing else

ActiveCampaign homepage presenting its email marketing automation platform
ActiveCampaign's homepage in October 2026.

ActiveCampaign is the automation specialist of this list. If you want a nurture path that branches on which recipe someone clicked, how many emails they opened and whether they visited your sales page, it can do it. A holistic coach with a large list and several freebies (sleep, digestion, stress) might use that depth to send each reader a different path to the right program.

That depth sits behind a pricing ladder. As listed in October 2026, Starter is $19/month ($15 billed annually) for 1,000 contacts, but caps each automation at 5 actions, has no landing pages and excludes the Calendly, Acuity and Stripe integrations. Plus is $59/month ($49 annually) with unlimited automation actions, landing pages and those integrations. Pro is $99/month ($79 annually) and Enterprise $179/month ($145 annually). There is a 14-day trial with no card and a 30-day refund guarantee on paid plans. Trustpilot showed 2.7 from 1,452 reviews in October 2026.

ActiveCampaign has no booking calendar, no checkout and no invoicing; it receives purchase and booking data from other tools on Plus and above. It does nothing for delivery: no programs, habits, check-ins or community. For most solo holistic coaches, this is more automation than the list size justifies.

Pick it over Coachful if your list runs into the thousands, you live in segmentation and lead scoring, and you already run delivery and booking elsewhere.

9. Mailchimp: familiar, but tight on the lower tiers

Mailchimp homepage presenting its email marketing and automation platform
Mailchimp's homepage in October 2026.

Mailchimp is the name most coaches already know, and its forms, popups, landing pages and basic website builder are easy to start with. For a holistic coach, the question is whether its lower plans can run a proper welcome sequence. Mostly they cannot.

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan covers 250 contacts and 500 sends a month (250 a day), with one audience and Mailchimp branding, and it has no automation flows. Essentials starts at $13/month for up to 500 contacts but allows only 4 steps per flow. Standard starts at $20/month for up to 500 contacts and is where a multi-step nurture sequence becomes practical. Premium starts at $350/month at 10,000 contacts. Prices rise with contact tiers, and a contact who sits in two audiences counts twice, which catches coaches who keep separate lists for "sleep checklist" and "newsletter". Trials of 14 days are offered in some countries, with payment details required. Trustpilot showed 2.5 from 1,555 reviews in October 2026.

There is nothing for enrollment or delivery in a coaching sense: no session booking, no client records, no programs, habits or check-ins.

Pick it over Coachful if you already run a Mailchimp list with years of history, only need newsletters, and prefer not to move.

10. AWeber: veteran sender with a paid setup option

AWeber has been around for a long time and offers forms, landing pages, automations, a link-in-bio page and simple ecommerce. Its pricing page also lists a coaches solution and a free account migration service, which matters if you are leaving another email tool.

Prices as listed when we checked in early November 2026, for 0 to 500 subscribers billed annually: Lite at $12.49/month with 1 email list, 3 landing pages, 3 automations, 3 users and sends of 10 times your subscriber limit; Plus at $19.99/month with unlimited lists, landing pages, automations and users and sends of 12 times your subscriber limit. AWeber ecommerce lists transaction fees of 1.0% on Lite and 0.6% on Plus. A paid "Done For You" tier adds a setup service for a one-time fee on top of the monthly price. There is a 14-day trial.

Three automations on Lite are enough for one freebie and one welcome sequence but not much more. Like the other email-first tools, AWeber has no booking, client records, programs or check-ins, so delivery and retention depend on other software.

Pick it over Coachful if you want a long-established sender with migration help, and your coaching delivery already lives in another tool.

11. Kajabi: a course business with email included

Kajabi homepage presenting its platform for courses, communities and websites
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. A holistic coach with a flagship self-paced program, say a 6-week mindful-eating course, and a membership community can run the whole sales side there, including email broadcasts and sequences.

As listed in October 2026: Basic at $179/month ($143 billed annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community and no AI credits; Growth at $249/month ($199 annually) with 50 products and 25,000 contacts; Pro at $499/month ($399 annually). Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic; using another processor (other than PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic. The trial is 14 days, and some features such as bulk contact import and test emails stay locked until a paid plan starts. Trustpilot showed 3.4 from 2,347 reviews in October 2026.

For 1:1 holistic coaching, Kajabi treats clients as product buyers, not as people on a plan: there are no habits, no daily check-ins and no per-client programs. The 2,500-contact cap on Basic also arrives sooner than many coaches expect once a lead magnet works. If you want to compare course-first options, see our list of course platforms for holistic health coaches.

Pick it over Coachful if courses and a membership are your main income, 1:1 coaching is a small add-on, and the monthly price is comfortable.

12. GoHighLevel: an agency CRM that coaches can bend

HighLevel homepage presenting its all-in-one marketing CRM for agencies and businesses
GoHighLevel's homepage in October 2026.

GoHighLevel (HighLevel) is an agency-first marketing CRM: funnels, websites, calendars, email and SMS, invoicing, contracts, courses and communities, organised in sub-accounts. A holistic coach can build almost any attract-and-enroll flow in it, if they are willing to configure it.

As listed in October 2026: Starter at $97/month ($80.83 billed annually) with 3 sub-accounts and unlimited users and contacts; Unlimited at $297/month; Agency Pro at $497/month. Email, SMS, phone and AI usage are metered and billed on top. HIPAA is a $297/month add-on. There is a 14-day trial, and billing starts automatically at the end. Trustpilot showed 4.9 from 15,250 reviews in October 2026.

The delivery side is the gap for this niche: no habit tracking, no client check-ins and no structured coaching-program engine, so a 12-week reset has to be simulated with workflows and forms. Video sessions use Zoom or Google Meet links rather than a built-in room. The setup effort is real; many coaches hire someone to configure it.

Pick it over Coachful if you run an agency or a multi-practitioner clinic, rely heavily on SMS marketing, and have someone to build and maintain the workflows.

What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

For email-first tools, the bill depends on list size rather than clients, so the table assumes an example list of 500 subscribers at 5 clients and 1,000 at 15 and 40. Monthly billing unless noted; prices as listed in October 2026, or early November 2026 for Practice Better, Brevo and AWeber. These are email tool costs only; the stack recipes below add the missing pieces.

Should you choose an all-in-one stack or assemble one?

Assemble if you are list-first and sell mainly digital products; go all-in-one if you sell programs and want your emails to react to what clients do. Here are the two recipes most holistic coaches end up with.

Coachful's leads page on one laptop and MailerLite's pricing page on another
Coachful's leads table on the left laptop and MailerLite's pricing page on the right, side by side for a cost comparison.

Recipe A: the assembled stack

A typical assembled setup is MailerLite or Kit for the list, a separate scheduler for discovery calls, Stripe checkout, an e-signature tool for the coaching agreement, a course or portal tool for delivery, and a community app for alumni. Using only prices in this article, a lean version is MailerLite Comfort at $19 (with its bookings covering discovery calls) plus Practice Better Professional at $69 for program delivery: $88 a month at 15 clients, before any e-signature or community tool. Swap MailerLite for Kit Creator and the total becomes $108. The hidden cost is the wiring: a booking in one tool has to tag the subscriber in another, usually through Zapier.

Recipe B: the all-in-one stack in Coachful

One account covers the list, the booking, the agreement, the payment, the program and the community (for 15 clients: Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients). A holistic health coach would set it up like this:

  1. Request a website and a lead-magnet funnel through the free white-glove build, attaching your logo, photos and the PDF of your freebie.
  2. Write a five-email welcome sequence with a branch: readers who click the "evening routine" email get a sleep-focused second path; others get the nutrition path. Michelle can draft it from your notes.
  3. Connect your Instagram professional account and set a comment-keyword automation that DMs the freebie link.
  4. Set up a discovery-call booking page with intake questions about current routines and goals, plus a red-flag question that tells you when to refer.
  5. Create a coaching agreement with your scope statement and send it automatically before the first call.
  6. Build your 12-week program from one of the 40-plus program templates, adding daily habits (water, a walk, a wind-down) and morning and evening check-ins.
  7. Add a weekly broadcast to enrolled clients, and a retention sequence for clients whose status turns quiet or at risk.
  8. When the program ends, move graduates into an alumni community group and invite them to the next seasonal reset.

Compared with Recipe A, there is no Zapier in the middle, and the cost does not grow with each extra tool. For the payment side specifically, see payment platforms for holistic health coaches, and for the group side, group coaching platforms for holistic health coaches.

How do you move your list without losing subscribers?

Export, clean, re-tag and warm up gradually; never re-import people who unsubscribed. These steps apply whichever tool you move to.

  • Export everything, including unsubscribes. Keep the unsubscribe and bounce lists so you do not email those people again; CAN-SPAM requires honouring opt-outs.
  • Keep the freebie tag. Know which lead magnet each subscriber took. A reader who wanted the gut-health guide should not restart a sleep sequence.
  • Separate clients from subscribers. Import past and current clients as client records, not just contacts, so retention emails go to the right people. In Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.
  • Rewrite claims while you move. Old sales emails often promise outcomes ("heal your gut in 30 days"). Rewrite them to describe the coaching process and the habits you support, in line with the FTC health guidance above.
  • Do not import health history into a marketing tool. Intake answers about symptoms or medications are sensitive. Keep only what coaching needs, and keep anything clinical in a clinical system.
  • Send to your most engaged readers first. Start with people who opened in the last 90 days, then widen, so the new sender builds a good reputation.
  • Turn off the old tool's sequences before the new ones start, or someone will receive two welcome emails on the same day.

Which email marketing platform should a holistic health coach choose?

Choose Coachful if you sell programs and want email that knows who has booked, paid, logged a habit or gone quiet; it is the only tool here that covers all four stages of the holistic journey in one login. Choose MailerLite if you need the cheapest sender with bookings attached, Flodesk if the newsletter's look is the brand, and Kit if you are building a large free newsletter first. Practice Better belongs on the shortlist only if you hold a clinical licence and need HIPAA compliance; Kajabi and GoHighLevel suit course-led or agency-scale businesses.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best email marketing platform for a holistic health coach?

For coaches who sell programs, Coachful, because its email sits in the same account as booking, payments, habits and check-ins. For a newsletter-only business, MailerLite is the best value and Flodesk the most design-led. Kit suits writers building a large free list.

Is there a free email tool that can run a welcome sequence?

MailerLite's free plan allows 3 automations of 5 steps each for up to 250 active subscribers, as listed in October 2026. Kit's free plan does not include sequences, and Mailchimp's free plan has no automation flows. Systeme.io's free plan includes one automation rule.

Do I need a HIPAA-compliant email tool as a holistic health coach?

HIPAA applies to covered entities and their business associates, so whether it applies to you depends on how you practise; if you also hold a clinical licence, read the HHS guidance and check with an attorney. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, and email marketing tools are not the place for clinical records in any case. Practice Better lists HIPAA compliance on its pricing page.

What should a holistic health coach's welcome sequence include?

Four to seven emails: delivery of the freebie, your whole-person philosophy, one practical habit to try, a client-journey email describing how coaching works, an invitation to a discovery call and a gentle reminder. Keep claims about results within coaching scope.

Can I send session reminders by SMS or WhatsApp?

In Coachful, yes: session reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. Brevo and GoHighLevel offer SMS as paid usage. Most newsletter tools only send email.

Can my email tool track client habits?

Email-only tools cannot; they track opens and clicks. Coachful tracks habits, streaks and morning and evening check-ins inside the client app, so your emails can reference real progress. Practice Better offers journaling and programs for clients.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

Every Coachful plan includes a free build service: you describe a website, funnel, email sequence, program or other asset, attach links and files, and the team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.

How much does email marketing cost a solo holistic health coach?

From nothing on a free plan to about $17 to $39 a month at 1,000 subscribers for MailerLite, Flodesk, Kit or Systeme.io, as listed in October 2026. An assembled stack with booking and delivery tools usually costs more; compare it with an all-in-one plan (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).

Can I move my Mailchimp or Kit list to Coachful?

Yes. Export your subscribers with tags and unsubscribes, and Coachful imports clients, programs and content for you during onboarding. Keep the unsubscribe list so opted-out people stay opted out.

Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions: one login covers email, booking, payments, agreements, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community and a website. It is not a clinical record system and has no permanent free plan. Start with a free trial and ask the team for a free white-glove build of your site or welcome sequence.
