Top 5 Membership Platforms for Leadership Coaches in 2026

Top 5 Membership Platforms for Leadership Coaches in 2026

The best membership platforms for leadership coaches do more than lock videos behind a paywall. A leadership coach usually sells a mix: a cohort for new managers, 1:1 sessions with a senior leader, an alumni circle that keeps graduates practising, and invoices that often go to an employer rather than the person being coached. So the deciding question is simple: can one platform carry a manager from the first discovery call through the cohort, the 1:1 work and the alumni membership, or will you glue four tools together?

Our pick is Coachful, because it puts booking, coaching agreements, programs with weekly check-ins, a community, courses and payments behind one login, and every client sees your branding inside one app. We make Coachful, so read the ranking with that in mind; we have kept the vendor facts to what each company lists publicly and what public reviewers report, and we say plainly where another tool is the better fit. The other four picks are Kajabi, Circle, Mighty Networks and Thinkific, each strong at one part of the job.

If you want the wider view across every coaching niche, our parent guide to membership platforms for coaches compares nine tools on fees and delivery. This article stays narrow: what a leadership coach needs, stage by stage, and which tool covers which stage.

What does a leadership coach's client journey look like?

A leadership coaching engagement runs through four stages: attract, enroll, deliver and retain. Each stage asks something different of a membership platform, and most tools only cover one or two of them well.

Attract: credibility before the first call

Leaders and the HR or learning and development people who sponsor them check you out before they reply. They look for a clear website, a point of view (articles, a short assessment, a webinar on giving feedback or running one-to-ones) and an easy way to book a chemistry call. A membership platform that can host a lead magnet, a webinar registration and a booking page in the same place saves you from sending prospects across three domains. Our guide to platforms to get clients for leadership coaches covers the outbound side in more depth.

Enroll: three-party agreements and sponsor invoices

Enrollment is where leadership coaching differs most from consumer coaching. The coachee is often not the payer. A company may fund a six-month engagement, ask for an invoice with a purchase order reference, and want written terms about confidentiality: what the sponsor hears (attendance, themes, progress against agreed goals) and what stays between coach and coachee. You need an agreement the client signs before session one, an invoice you can issue manually, and an intake form that captures the goals the coachee and sponsor agreed on. Self-funded leaders, by contrast, want a checkout page with a payment plan.

Deliver: cohorts, 1:1 work and practice between sessions

The development itself happens between sessions. A new manager learns to delegate by delegating on Tuesday and reflecting on it Thursday. That is why a leadership membership benefits from weekly goals, short reflections, habit prompts (a weekly one-to-one with each direct report, a written decision log) and check-ins the coach can read before the next call. Cohort programs need a private group per intake so a March cohort does not mix with a September one, plus group calls. Senior leaders need a private space with session notes and documents. Pure community tools handle the cohort chat well and the 1:1 thread poorly.

Retain: alumni circles and renewals

Leadership development rarely ends when the contract does. Graduates want a place to keep practising, peers to compare notes with, and a monthly live session. A paid alumni membership turns a one-off engagement into recurring revenue and gives sponsors a reason to renew for the next intake. The platform needs subscriptions, a community separated by cohort or level, and some sign of which members are going quiet. For the community side on its own, see our ranking of community platforms for leadership coaches.

Which stages does each platform cover?

Ranked by one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build), here is how the five platforms cover the four stages, based on each vendor's public documentation as listed in October 2026.

How did we choose these five?

We started from the jobs above and kept tools that a leadership coach could realistically run a paid membership on in 2026. Every vendor price comes from the vendor's own pricing page as listed in October 2026. We did not test the tools hands-on; we compared what each company documents and what public reviewers report on Trustpilot.

Four criteria set the order:

  • One login for the whole client journey. Can a sponsored manager book, sign, pay, learn, check in and join the alumni group without a second account?
  • Between-session delivery. Weekly goals, reflections and check-ins matter more for behaviour change than a video library.
  • Total stack cost. The subscription plus every tool you would add to fill the gaps, plus platform fees on your sales.
  • Setup effort. How long before your first cohort can enroll.

We left out link-in-bio stores and pure course marketplaces because leadership buyers rarely purchase through a social profile, and we left out dedicated 1:1 practice managers because they have little membership or community depth. If your work is mostly cohorts, our list of group coaching platforms for leadership coaches goes further on that format.

1. Coachful: the whole leadership engagement in one place

A laptop and tablet on a standing desk showing a group program view and a list of program-linked groups
Coachful's client Programs view on the laptop and the coach's Squads list on the tablet, both with demo data.

Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, coaching agreements, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, and for solo coaches growing into a small team. For a leadership coach, that means the cohort, the 1:1 executive work and the alumni membership live in the same account, and the client sees all of it in one app carrying your brand.

The cohort and the alumni circle

A leadership program in Coachful is a multi-week program with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits and morning and evening check-ins. A 12-week new-manager program might set one weekly goal ("hold a feedback conversation using the model from module three"), a habit (weekly one-to-ones with each direct report) and an evening reflection prompt. When someone enrolls, Coachful creates a cohort group automatically, so the spring intake gets its own chat and feed. Group calls and webinars run from the same calendar.

Graduates can then move into an alumni community sold as a subscription, with video events for a monthly live session and direct messages for peer follow-up. Courses (modules, lessons, drip, completion tracking), downloads and books sit in the same branded home, so your frameworks and worksheets travel with the member from cohort to alumni circle.

1:1 executive work and sponsor paperwork

Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, which matters when your coachees sit in London, Dubai and Chicago. Calendars sync both ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook, and sessions can use built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, useful when a corporate client only allows Teams. Intake questions on the booking form capture the goals agreed with the sponsor.

Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record, which is where you put the confidentiality terms for three-party engagements. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: subscriptions for the alumni circle, payment plans for self-funded leaders, coupons, and manual invoices for a company that pays by invoice. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee, so only the processor's fees apply. See the coaching contracts page for how agreements work.

Each client record pulls together goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, plus an AI briefing before each call from Michelle, the built-in assistant. Michelle works from your live practice data, drafts program content and emails, summarizes recorded sessions, and can give you optional private feedback on your own coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Clients carry a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, which tells you which alumni members are drifting before they cancel.

Credential hours and a growing team

Many leadership coaches hold or are working toward an ICF credential, and sponsors often ask for one. Coachful counts your coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours, so the log builds itself as you coach. More detail is on the ICF hour tracking page.

If you bring in associate coaches for a large corporate cohort, team plans (Studio and Agency) add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions, and multi-coach session types can assign bookings round-robin or to the least busy coach. The executive coaches and business coaches pages show other setups.

The short walkthrough below follows a client from first contact to an active program inside Coachful.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", describe what you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logo, brand guide, your leadership framework, existing copy), and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. It can be your website, a cohort sales page, the program itself, an application form or an email sequence. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent example: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Where Coachful falls short for leadership coaches

Coachful has no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration, so if you sell enterprise contracts through a long procurement pipeline you may keep a CRM alongside it. It has no PayPal and no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. It is not a course marketplace, so it will not bring you buyers the way a marketplace might. Pricing is flat and monthly; lower plans cap the number of clients and Pro is unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). There is a free trial, and monthly plans cancel in one click.

2. Kajabi: a polished storefront for a leadership academy

Screenshot of Kajabi's public homepage as captured in October 2026
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi suits the leadership coach who thinks of their business as an academy: a flagship course, a paid community, a lead magnet and an email list, all under one website. It is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products, with funnels and email built in.

Fit for a leadership practice

If your offer is a self-paced "first 90 days as a manager" course with a community tier, Kajabi handles the marketing side well: a landing page, an email sequence, an upsell to the community. Kajabi frames coaching as products and communities rather than per-client plans, so a sponsored executive engagement with individual goals, private notes and weekly check-ins has no natural home. Kajabi does not offer habit tracking or daily client check-ins.

Pricing as listed

As listed in October 2026: Basic is $179/month ($143/month billed annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community and 0 AI credits; Growth is $249/month ($199/month annually) with 50 products and 25,000 contacts; Pro is $499/month ($399/month annually). With Kajabi Payments in the US, processing is 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Using another processor (other than PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro. A 14-day trial is offered; a card is optional, and some features stay locked until a paid plan starts.

Watch-outs

Five products disappears quickly for a leadership coach: a cohort course, an alumni community, a 1:1 package, a workshop recording and an assessment toolkit already fill Basic. You would still need a separate scheduler for chemistry calls and an e-signature tool for three-party agreements. Kajabi held a Trustpilot rating of 3.4 from 2,347 reviews when we checked on 25 October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if most of your revenue comes from a self-paced leadership course sold to a large email list, you rarely run 1:1 engagements, and you want Kajabi's marketing depth more than client-level tracking.

3. Circle: the strongest pure community for alumni and peer groups

Screenshot of Circle's public homepage as captured in October 2026
Circle's homepage in October 2026.

For a leadership coach whose most valuable asset is the peer group itself, Circle is the most capable community on this list. It combines community spaces, courses, events, live streams and paid memberships, which fits an alumni circle of senior leaders or a year-long peer advisory group.

Where it earns its place

Circle lets you split members into spaces, so a CEO peer group, a mid-level manager track and a cohort archive can sit side by side without mixing. Events and live streams handle monthly hot-seat calls. Courses can host your frameworks. For the retain stage of the journey, it is hard to beat. Circle held a Trustpilot rating of 4.1 from 129 reviews when we checked on 25 October 2026.

What it leaves out

Circle has no 1:1 scheduling and no client management back office: no per-client habits, check-ins, private coaching plans, coaching agreements or session notes. For a leadership coach who sells both cohorts and individual executive coaching, the 1:1 side would run in another tool. Branded mobile apps are only on custom-priced Circle Plus.

Numbers as listed

As listed in October 2026, Circle Professional is $89/month billed annually, Business $199/month annually and Scale $419/month annually; monthly rates were not shown in the data we checked, so confirm them before you commit. Circle takes a fee on payments of 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus, on top of Stripe processing. A 14-day free trial runs on Professional, Business and Scale with no card required.

To put the fee in context, take an illustrative alumni circle of 30 members at $100/month: that is $3,000/month in sales, and a 2% Circle fee would be $60/month before Stripe's processing.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is mostly a large peer community or alumni network, you already have a 1:1 system you like, and community depth (spaces, moderation, live streams) matters more to you than tracking each leader's goals.

4. Mighty Networks: community and events for leadership cohorts

Screenshot of the Mighty Networks public homepage as captured in October 2026
Mighty Networks' homepage in October 2026.

Mighty Networks combines community, courses and events, with Mighty-branded member apps. A leadership coach can run a cohort with a course, a member feed and live events, and keep an alumni tier going afterwards.

Good at

Its plans are sized around hosts, moderators and livestream hours, which suits a coach who runs several live cohort sessions a month: Launch includes livestreaming for 20 hours a month with up to 100 attendees, Scale 30 hours with 200 attendees. Members can join from Mighty's own app. The trial includes Growth plan features, so you can test the full set before choosing a tier.

Missing for executive work

Mighty Networks has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. A company-sponsored engagement needs an agreement, an invoice and private sessions, so you would add separate tools for all three. Your own branded apps come only on custom-priced Mighty Pro.

Cost and fees

As listed in October 2026: Launch is $95/month ($79/month annually) with 3 hosts and 200 GB storage; Scale is $215/month ($179/month annually) with 5 hosts; Growth is $354/month billed annually (monthly rate not listed). Mighty adds a platform fee of 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing. The trial runs 14 days with no card required. Mighty Networks held a Trustpilot rating of 3.3 from 219 reviews on 25 October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if you run large cohorts where live events and the member feed are the product, you want members inside Mighty's app, and your 1:1 work is small enough to manage elsewhere.

5. Thinkific: courses first, with memberships attached

Screenshot of Thinkific's public homepage as captured in October 2026
Thinkific's homepage in October 2026.

Thinkific is a course platform that also sells communities, memberships and coaching or webinar products. It fits the leadership coach who licenses a structured curriculum, for example a management fundamentals course that companies buy seats for.

Why leadership coaches look at it

Thinkific's limits are sized for scale: the Start plan allows 10,000 current students, 2 admins, one community with 10 spaces, 5 live community events and a maximum group size of 50. When a company wants to put 40 new managers through a course at once, that headroom helps. Using Thinkific Payments carries no Thinkific transaction fee, with processing at a rate the company describes as in line with other processors at 2.9%.

The trade-offs

Thinkific has no built-in 1:1 scheduling (coaching relies on external booking links, per an older profile) and no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. A branded mobile app is a $199/month add-on. Third-party Stripe or PayPal gateways carry an extra per-plan fee whose amount is not listed on the pricing page. Thinkific held a Trustpilot rating of 1.8 from 868 reviews when we checked on 25 October 2026, and prices rose about 10% on 13 August 2026.

Plans in October 2026

Start is $109/month ($82/month annually), Grow $219/month ($164/month annually) with 6 admins and 3 communities, and Expand $499/month ($374/month annually); Plus is custom. Every self-serve plan has a 30-day free trial. The pricing page we captured showed euro prices, so check the figures in your own currency.

Pick it over Coachful if you mainly sell a leadership curriculum to companies by the seat, you need thousands of student slots, and individual coaching is a minor add-on you are happy to book through another tool.

How do the features compare side by side?

The matrix below lists the features that matter most to a leadership coach, as documented by each vendor in October 2026. "Add a tool" means you would need a separate product for that job.

What does each stack cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Membership tools mostly price by features and contacts rather than by client count, while Coachful's lower plans cap the number of clients and Pro is unlimited. The table shows the monthly subscription each platform lists at three practice sizes, before payment processing. For the four alternatives, add the cost of a scheduler and an e-signature tool for 1:1 work; we have not priced those because they vary by vendor.

Should you choose an all-in-one stack or assemble one?

An all-in-one stack is cheaper to run and simpler for clients; an assembled stack lets you pick the best tool for one stage. For most leadership coaches with both cohorts and 1:1 clients, all-in-one wins on cost and client experience. Here are three recipes.

Recipe A: all-in-one on Coachful

Website, booking, agreements, checkout, invoices, programs, cohort groups, alumni community, courses, email and ICF log in one account. Monthly cost: one subscription (Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients for unlimited clients) plus Stripe or Razorpay processing. One login for you, one branded app for every client.

Recipe B: Kajabi plus point tools

Kajabi Basic at $179/month for the site, course, community and email, plus a separate scheduler and e-signature tool. Clients get a Kajabi login for content and separate emails for bookings and signatures. Check the 5-product cap before you build.

Recipe C: Circle or Mighty Networks plus a 1:1 practice tool

A community platform for the cohort and alumni circle (from $89/month annually on Circle or $95/month on Mighty Launch) plus a separate 1:1 coaching tool for booking, agreements and invoices, plus an email tool if you want sequences. Members juggle two or three logins, and you pay a 0.5 to 2% platform fee on community sales on top of processing.

For the economics of running a membership at all (pricing tiers, churn, service load), our guide to the membership site model for coaches walks through the numbers.

How would a leadership coach set this up in Coachful?

Here is one way to build a three-part leadership offer in Coachful: a 12-week cohort for new managers, a six-month 1:1 executive package, and a monthly alumni circle. Any prices you set are your own; the figures in this example are illustrative.

A laptop in a home study showing an ICF credential progress panel
Coachful's coach development panel tracking demo coaching hours and clients against ICF credential thresholds.
  1. Request the build. Use the free white-glove service: attach your existing site link, your logo and a one-page outline of your leadership model, and ask for a homepage, a cohort sales page and an application form.
  2. Pick or confirm a template. A restrained business template such as Meridian suits corporate buyers. Add a blog for your articles on feedback, delegation and decision-making.
  3. Create the cohort program. Twelve weeks, one weekly goal per week, an evening reflection check-in, and a habit for weekly one-to-ones with direct reports. Cohort groups create themselves when people enroll.
  4. Add the course layer. Upload your frameworks as a course with drip release matched to the program weeks, plus downloadable worksheets.
  5. Set up the 1:1 package. A session type with intake questions for agreed goals and sponsor contact, a coaching agreement with your confidentiality terms sent before the first call, and either a payment plan or a manual invoice for sponsored clients.
  6. Open the alumni circle. A subscription offer that grants access to the alumni community and a monthly video event.
  7. Connect calendars and video. Sync Outlook or Google, and choose Teams links for clients whose employers require them.
  8. Build the funnel. A lead-magnet funnel (for example, a one-to-one meeting checklist) feeding an email sequence that invites readers to a chemistry call.
  9. Watch the client statuses. Check who is quiet or at risk each week, and let Michelle brief you before each session.
  10. Keep the ICF log running. Hours and clients count automatically; export the log when you apply for your next credential.
Meridian business website template homepage in Coachful
Meridian, one of Coachful's business homepage templates, on desktop.

For an example of pricing logic rather than a market rate: if a sponsor pays for six months of 1:1 coaching, divide your target annual income from executive work by the number of engagements you can carry at once, then check that figure against the hours involved. Set the alumni circle low enough that most graduates stay, since its main job is retention and referrals.

How do you migrate an existing leadership membership?

Move in this order: content first, people second, payments last. That keeps members from landing in an empty space.

  • Export everything first. Download member lists, course files and community posts you want to keep before you cancel the old tool.
  • Let the onboarding team import. In Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, so you do not rebuild each lesson by hand.
  • Move one cohort at a time. Start the next intake on the new platform and let the current cohort finish where it is.
  • Re-subscribe alumni deliberately. Subscriptions rarely transfer between processors cleanly; email alumni a new checkout link with a clear date for the switch.
  • Tell sponsors. HR contacts need the new invoice format and a note on where agreements now live.
  • Keep your exit open. Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) and courses can be exported too.

What mistakes do leadership coaches make with membership platforms?

  • Buying a community tool for a coaching business. A feed does not replace private 1:1 notes, agreements or sponsor invoices.
  • Mixing cohorts. Put each intake in its own group; senior leaders will not post candidly next to people they manage.
  • Skipping the agreement. Three-party engagements need written confidentiality terms before the first session.
  • Measuring logins instead of practice. Weekly reflections and habit completion tell you more about leadership growth than video views.
  • Ignoring platform fees. A 2% fee on a growing alumni circle compounds every month.
  • Forgetting the credential log. Reconstructing ICF hours from calendars later is slow; track them as you go.

Which membership platform should a leadership coach choose?

Choose Coachful if you sell some mix of cohorts, 1:1 executive coaching and an alumni membership, and want one login for the whole client journey, between-session check-ins and a single subscription. Choose Circle or Mighty Networks if your business is mostly a large peer community, Kajabi if a self-paced course sold through email is the core, and Thinkific if you license curriculum to companies by the seat. To see the course side compared in more depth, read our list of course platforms for leadership coaches, or browse the group coaching software page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best membership platform for leadership coaches?

Coachful ranks first because it covers attract, enroll, deliver and retain in one account: booking, e-signed agreements, invoices, programs with check-ins, cohort groups, an alumni community and courses. Circle and Mighty Networks are stronger as pure communities but leave out 1:1 coaching tools.

Can I invoice a company instead of the person I coach?

In Coachful you can issue manual invoices alongside per-transaction invoices, so a sponsor can be billed directly. Community-first tools such as Mighty Networks do not offer invoicing, so you would need a separate tool.

How do I keep cohorts separate from each other?

Coachful creates a cohort group automatically when someone enrolls in a program, so each intake gets its own space. On Circle you would set up a separate space for each cohort yourself.

Does any platform track ICF coaching hours?

Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours. None of the other four tools document this.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a free build service on every plan. You describe what you want (a website, cohort sales page, program, application form or email sequence), attach references and files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design or ongoing marketing.

Do these platforms charge a fee on my sales?

As listed in October 2026, Circle and Mighty Networks take 0.5 to 2% depending on plan, Kajabi adds 0.5 to 2% only if you use a processor other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal, and Thinkific charges no transaction fee on Thinkific Payments. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee; only Stripe or Razorpay processing applies.

Can my clients use Microsoft Teams for sessions?

Yes in Coachful, which can auto-create Teams, Zoom or Google Meet links, or use built-in video. The community tools on this list do not offer 1:1 booking, so the link would come from whatever scheduler you add.

Is Coachful suitable if I bring in associate coaches?

Team plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions, and multi-coach session types can assign bookings round-robin or to the least busy coach. Coachful does not include a multi-stage enterprise deal board or a Salesforce or HubSpot integration.

Can I try Coachful before paying?

There is a free trial, and the white-glove team can build your first pieces during it. Monthly plans cancel in one click, and there is no permanent free plan.
