The 12 Best Course Platforms for Leadership Coaches, Compared

The 12 Best Course Platforms for Leadership Coaches, Compared

The best course platforms for leadership coaches do more than host video lessons. A leadership practice usually sells a cohort program to a company, runs 1:1 engagements with senior leaders alongside it, signs agreements with sponsors, and needs managers to practise new behaviors between sessions, when nobody is watching. So the deciding question is not which course builder looks nicest. It is which platform can carry a leader from the first LinkedIn post to the second-year renewal without five extra logins.

Our pick is Coachful. We make Coachful, so weigh that, but the ranking below follows criteria we state up front, and Coachful meets them most fully: courses, cohort groups, booking, payments, agreements, and between-session habits and check-ins sit behind one login, with one branded app for each client. The other eleven tools are strong at parts of the journey. Kajabi and Thinkific run full course storefronts, LearnWorlds produces SCORM packages a corporate learning system can import, Simply.Coach and CoachAccountable structure 1:1 engagements, and Systeme.io and Stan Store keep entry costs very low.

For the wider category across every coaching niche, read our roundup of course creation platforms for coaches. This article stays with leadership coaches, including those who sell to HR and L&D teams. If you coach executives specifically, the product overview is at Coachful for executive coaches.

What does a leadership coach's client journey need from a course platform?

It needs four stages covered in order: attract leaders and sponsors, enroll them with the right paperwork, deliver content plus practice, and retain them for the next engagement. Most course tools cover the middle of stage three well and leave the rest to other software.

Attract: thought leadership that turns into applications

Leadership coaches tend to win work through visible expertise: LinkedIn posts, a newsletter, a talk at an industry event, a free webinar on giving feedback. The platform needs a website that reads like a firm rather than a hobby, a lead magnet funnel (a leadership-style self-assessment, a one-page delegation checklist), email sequences that follow up, and tracking pixels so you know which post produced the call. Our guide to LinkedIn thought leadership for coaches covers the content side; the platform's job is to catch the interest that content creates.

Enroll: two buyers, two kinds of paperwork

A leadership coach often has two buyers for the same program. An individual director might pay by card for a 12-week course with coaching. A company might pay for 20 first-time managers and want an application or nomination step, an invoice addressed to the finance team, and a signed agreement that spells out confidentiality between coach, participant and sponsor. The platform therefore needs application forms, booking for discovery calls across time zones, payment plans, coupons for company-funded seats, manual invoices, and coaching agreements with e-signature before the first call.

Deliver: content, cohort and the work between sessions

Leadership content is framework-heavy: situational leadership, feedback models, decision rights, stakeholder maps. Lessons teach the model, but behavior changes when a manager tries it on Tuesday with a real direct report. Delivery therefore needs a course with drip release, live cohort calls, 1:1 sessions with notes, and a place where participants log weekly experiments and reflect on them. A cohort space where managers compare notes helps too; our guide to cohort course design covers the structure, and group coaching software explains the delivery side.

Retain: renewals, alumni and credentials

Leadership engagements renew when the sponsor can see progress and the participant still feels momentum. Retention needs a view of who is engaged and who has gone quiet, an alumni community, follow-up email sequences, and an easy path into the next offer. Many leadership coaches also hold or pursue an ICF credential, so logging coaching hours as you go saves a painful reconstruction later; see ICF hour tracking.

Which platform covers which stage of the leadership client journey?

Coachful covers all four stages natively; most course platforms cover attract and deliver, and the coaching-first tools cover enroll and 1:1 delivery but not marketing. The table maps each tool to each stage.

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort, including Coachful's free white-glove build.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

How did we choose and rank these 12 platforms?

We started from what a leadership coach actually sells: cohort programs, 1:1 engagements and a few digital products. Each platform had to deliver course content and at least one other stage of the journey. Prices come from each vendor's public pricing page as listed in October 2026 (monthly billing unless stated), and features come from vendor documentation and our September 2026 vendor profiles where noted. Ratings are the Trustpilot scores shown in October 2026. We did not run hands-on tests of the other platforms; where a limit is reported by public reviewers rather than documented by the vendor, we say so.

The order reflects the four criteria above. Tools that only run courses rank below Coachful because a leadership coach would need to add booking, agreements and practice tracking. Coaching-first tools rank in the middle because they handle 1:1 well but have thinner course and marketing features. Low-cost marketing suites sit at the bottom because they need the most extra software for coaching delivery.

1. Coachful: one login from first post to renewal

Coachful's program-linked groups on a laptop and its community feed on a tablet on a boardroom table
Coachful's Squads view with program-linked groups on the laptop and the client community feed on the tablet, both with demo data.

Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. For a leadership coach, that means the course a cohort of new managers watches, the 1:1 calendar for their directors and the agreement the HR sponsor signs all live in one account, and every participant opens one app that carries your branding.

Building the leadership course itself

Courses have modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, and they are delivered into the client's branded home and app alongside downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles. If you are starting from a framework you already teach in workshops, Coachful includes 48 course templates with quizzes and more than 40 ready-to-film program templates, so the structure exists before you record. Our guide on turning a coaching framework into an online course walks through the outline.

Practice between sessions, where leadership changes

Programs run for multiple weeks with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. In a delegation module, for example, the week's goal might be "hand one decision to a direct report", the daily task a two-line note on what you handed over, and the evening check-in a question about how it went. Each client record collects goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, and marks the client as thriving, active, quiet or at risk, which is the early warning a coach needs before a sponsor asks why attendance dropped. You can also configure an AI Coach, an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions.

Cohorts, sponsors and associate coaches

When a participant enrolls in a program, Coachful creates the cohort group automatically, with a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. Group calls and webinars run in the same place. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, sync two ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendars, and either use built-in video or auto-create Zoom, Meet or Teams links, which matters when a corporate client lives in Teams. Payments go through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, refunds and Stripe Tax, plus manual invoices for the company that pays by bank transfer, and Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026. Coaching agreements go out for e-signature before the first call and are stored on the client record. If you work with associate coaches, the Studio and Agency team plans add coach seats with per-coach availability, staff permissions, and round-robin or least-busy assignment for shared session types.

This short walkthrough shows how content, courses and resources are organized inside Coachful:

Credentials and reflective practice

Coachful counts your coaching hours and distinct clients against the ICF ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours, which helps when you apply for a credential under the ICF's published requirements. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: she briefs you before sessions, summarizes recorded sessions, drafts emails and content, builds programs, and can give optional private feedback on your own coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. See our guide to platforms for ICF coaches for more on credential tracking.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create > We'll build it for you, or the "Want us to build it for you?" card on the Website, Funnels and Programs pages, you describe what you want built: a website, a funnel, a sales page for your leadership cohort, a program, a course outline and written material, an email sequence, a lead quiz, an event page or an automation. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, brand guide or existing workshop slides. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent example: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. The service does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Details are in how the white-glove service works.

Where Coachful is not the right fit

Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and is not built for clinical records. It has no Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no multi-stage deal board for a large sales team, so a leadership firm that sells into enterprises through account executives will keep its CRM. It does not offer routing forms that pick a host from form answers, PayPal, a permanent free plan, or third-party plugins, and it is not a course marketplace. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than under your own App Store account, and affiliate payouts are recorded manually. Plans are flat monthly; lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, team plans add seats, and monthly plans cancel in one click (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).

2. Kajabi: the most complete course storefront

Kajabi's public homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi combines courses, a community, a website, funnels and email marketing for selling knowledge products. For a leadership coach with a sizeable audience, it suits a signature self-paced program such as a "Leading Through Change" course with a paid community attached, sold through a webinar funnel and an email sequence. The Growth plan's 11 admin users give room for a small team of facilitators and an assistant.

Where it thins out is the individual leader. Coaching in Kajabi is delivered as products and communities rather than per-client plans, and it has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins. A director in a six-month engagement gets access to content and a community, not a personal plan of weekly goals and reflections that you can review before each session. Our notes do not list agreements or 1:1 session notes, so plan on pairing it with other tools for executive engagements.

What Kajabi costs a leadership practice

As listed in October 2026: Basic is $179 a month ($143 a month billed annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249 ($199 annually) with 50 products, 25,000 contacts and 500 AI credits. Pro is $499 ($399 annually) with unlimited products, 100,000 contacts and 3 communities. Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro; using another provider (other than PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro on top of that provider's fees. The standard trial is 14 days; a card is optional, but if entered, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges when the trial ends, and some features such as bulk contact import stay locked until you pay. Five products fill up quickly when a leadership coach sells a course, a cohort, a toolkit and two workshop replays. Kajabi showed 3.4 on Trustpilot from 2,347 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is mainly self-paced leadership courses sold to a large audience, 1:1 engagements are rare, and you value Kajabi's marketing tools over per-client delivery.

3. Thinkific: a dedicated course engine with room to grow

Thinkific's public homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Thinkific's homepage in October 2026.

Thinkific is a course platform with communities, memberships, and coaching and webinar products. It is sized for large learner numbers: the Start plan includes 10,000 current students, which is far more than most leadership coaches will need, and that headroom matters if a corporate client wants to roll a recorded manager curriculum out to an entire department. Communities with spaces and live community events give each cohort a home.

Where Thinkific falls short for 1:1 executive work

Our older vendor profile notes that Thinkific has no built-in 1:1 scheduling, so coaching calls rely on external booking links. It also has no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. For a leadership coach, that means the cohort learns in Thinkific while the executive engagements, agreements and session notes live in another tool, and you reconcile the two by hand.

As listed in October 2026, Start is $109 a month ($82 billed annually) with 2 admins, 1 community with 10 spaces, 5 live community events, 200 GB of video bandwidth a month and a maximum group size of 50. Grow is $219 ($164 annually) with 6 admins, 3 communities and a group size of 100. Expand is $499 ($374 annually) with 15 admins and unlimited group size, and Plus is custom. Prices rose about 10% on August 13, 2026. There is a 30-day free trial on every self-serve plan. Thinkific charges no transaction fee through Thinkific Payments, which it describes as in line with other processors at 2.9%, while third-party Stripe or PayPal gateways carry an extra per-plan gateway fee that the page does not list. A branded mobile app is a $199 a month add-on. Thinkific showed 1.8 on Trustpilot from 868 reviews in October 2026, so read recent reviews before you commit.

Pick it over Coachful if you need a course engine for thousands of learners inside a corporate rollout and you are content to run 1:1 coaching somewhere else.

4. LearnWorlds: SCORM files for the corporate learning team

LearnWorlds pricing page showing its plans in euros
LearnWorlds's pricing page in October 2026 (shown in euros).

LearnWorlds is a course and learning management platform with a website builder, page funnels, interactive video and SCORM support. That last point is the reason it sits fourth for this niche. When an HR or L&D team buys a leadership program, it sometimes asks for the content as a SCORM package so it can run inside the company's own learning system. LearnWorlds documents SCORM packages on its Pro Trainer plan, and its Learning Center plan supports up to 10 client groups, which can give each client company its own area.

SCORM, client groups and the enrollment fee

As listed in October 2026, Starter is $29 a month ($24 billed annually) with 1 admin, 1,000 active learners a month and 300 AI credits, but it charges $5 per paid enrollment. Pro Trainer is $99 ($79 annually) with 5 admins, 2,000 active learners a month, 500 AI credits, 20 SCORM packages, 15 page funnels and 2,000 mass emails a month, with no LearnWorlds enrollment fee. Learning Center is $299 ($249 annually) with 25 admins, up to 10 client groups and 5,000 mass emails a month. Corporate is custom. Stripe or PayPal gateway fees of 2.9% + $0.30 apply on top. The 30-day trial needs no credit card, and LearnWorlds says the school is scheduled for deletion if you do not upgrade, so export anything you build during the trial. The branded mobile app is a separately priced add-on.

The gap for a leadership coach is the individual client. LearnWorlds is not built for 1:1 client management, habits or check-ins, and active-learner caps per month apply on self-serve plans. It does not replace your booking tool, your agreements or your session notes. LearnWorlds showed 4.8 on Trustpilot from 423 reviews in October 2026, one of the higher scores on this list.

Pick it over Coachful if a corporate buyer requires SCORM packages for its own learning system, or you run separate branded training areas for several client companies.

5. Teachable: a simple first course with student apps

Teachable's public homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Teachable's homepage in October 2026.

Teachable is a course and digital-product platform with student mobile apps. Its strength for leadership coaches is simplicity: if you want to test a short paid course, such as "Feedback Conversations for New Managers", before building a full cohort, Teachable keeps the setup small and its student apps let learners watch on their phones. A short course like that can lead people into coaching; our guide to mini courses versus signature courses explains when each works.

Teachable's plan math

As listed in October 2026, Starter is $39 a month ($29 billed annually) with 5 products and 1 admin, but it takes a 7.5% platform fee on sales. Builder is $89 ($69 annually) with 10 products and no platform fee. Growth is $189 ($139 annually) with 50 products and 5 admins, and Custom is contact sales. Students are listed as unlimited. Teachable Payments processing is 2.9% + 30¢ for US cards and 3.9% + 30¢ for international cards, PayPal costs more, and there is a $15 chargeback fee. The plan cards show a 7-day free trial plus a 30-day guarantee. On a $1,500 leadership course (an example price), the Starter fee alone is $112.50 per sale, so the Builder plan pays for itself after one sale a month.

For delivery beyond the course, Teachable has no native scheduling or calendar sync according to our older vendor profile, so coaching calls rely on separate booking and video tools. It has no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. Teachable showed 3.3 on Trustpilot from 1,110 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if you only want a low-cost course storefront with student apps and you already run your coaching business through another platform.

6. Simply.Coach: built for sponsor-backed engagements

Simply.Coach is a coaching platform with separate solutions for solo coaches, multi-coach businesses, L&D teams and universities. Of everything on this list, it maps most directly onto three-way corporate coaching, where a participant, a coach and a sponsor or HR partner all have a stake in the engagement.

Stakeholders and sponsors, built in

The feature comparison on its pricing page lists stakeholder management, pre-, mid- and post-engagement assessments, goal and development planning, action plans with tracking and reminders, behavior-building nudges, session notes and reflections, group and team coaching, digital contracts with signature, and video conferencing through Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Cisco Webex. Text notifications are a paid extra, and automated invoices were marked "coming soon" when we fetched the page. Our September 2026 profile notes iOS and Android apps, and describes the course side as learning modules and a resource library rather than a full course builder, so check it against your curriculum before you move a multi-module leadership course in.

The pricing page we fetched in October 2026 showed four solo plans: Starter at US$9 a month for 3 active coachees with 1 contract and 1 program; Essentials at US$29 for 7 coachees; Growth at US$49 for 30 coachees with multiple calendars, recurring sessions, your logo and complimentary onboarding; and Leap at US$69 for unlimited coachees with a white-labelled platform and your own domain. The page has a toggle between annual and monthly billing and says annual plans save up to 52%, so confirm which billing period these figures apply to before you buy. There is a 14-day free trial, and business and L&D plans are priced separately.

The trade-off is marketing. Simply.Coach offers a showcase page and lead capture rather than a full website builder with funnels and email broadcasts, so attracting leaders still happens elsewhere.

Pick it over Coachful if most of your revenue comes from sponsor-backed 1:1 engagements that need stakeholder roles and pre- and post-engagement assessments, and courses are secondary.

7. CoachAccountable: unlimited coach accounts, priced per client

CoachAccountable is a long-running coaching system priced by the number of active clients, with every plan carrying the full feature set. For a leadership firm with several associate coaches, its headline policy matters: unlimited coach and administrator accounts at no extra cost.

Our September 2026 profile lists self-paced, calendar-based and group courses with drip sequences and action plans, routine and metric tracking with reminders, groups that share actions, metrics and files, an embeddable booking widget with group sessions and recurring appointments, recurring billing through Stripe, Square or PayPal, and digital agreements with signatures, initials, timestamps and IP capture. Metric tracking suits leadership work where a sponsor wants to see agreed indicators move, such as one-to-ones held per month. The same profile notes there is no landing page builder (it embeds into your existing site), no social feed, and a web app with an add-to-home-screen shortcut rather than native apps.

Per-client pricing at 5, 15 and 40 leaders

As listed in October 2026: Starter is $20 a month for 2 clients, Level 1 is $40 for 5, Level 2 is $70 for 10, Level 3 is $120 for 20, Level 3.5 is $200 for 35, Level 4 is $250 for 50, and Level 5 is $400 for 100, with higher tiers above that. Only active clients count, and you can deactivate and reactivate people while they keep access to their records. The page also says each person in a group or at the same company is a separate client, so a 25-manager cohort counts as 25 clients. There is a 30-day trial with no credit card required, no setup fees and no cancellation fees.

Pick it over Coachful if you run a multi-coach leadership firm that wants unlimited coach accounts and detailed metric tracking, you already have a website you like, and your client count stays modest.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

8. Paperbell: flat-price packages for solo executive coaches

Paperbell's public homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Paperbell's homepage in October 2026.

Paperbell is built around selling coaching packages: a single checkout collects the contract signature, payment, intake form and booking. For a solo leadership coach selling, say, a six-month executive package, that flow is clean. Our profile (researched September 2026, pricing re-checked October 17, 2026) lists built-in booking with time-zone detection and reminders, Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync, Zoom links, group programs, payment plans and subscriptions through Stripe or PayPal, and a branded coaching website with landing pages.

One flat tier, few course tools

Paperbell's pricing page did not load for us today, so these figures are from the October 17, 2026 check: one paid tier at $97 a month or $970 a year, per coach, with unlimited clients and sessions and no Paperbell transaction fee. Its help center describes a 7-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Extra accounts for the same company get 15% off, per its FAQ, because each account has one service provider.

The limits show up quickly for a leadership coach who wants to teach. Courses are video content delivered inside packages rather than a full course builder, and Paperbell has no community, no habit tracking and no goal tracking, according to our profile and public reviewers who say they had to add another platform. There is no native mobile app, and one coach per account makes a firm with associates awkward. Paperbell showed 3.9 on Trustpilot from 13 reviews when we last checked.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell only 1:1 leadership packages, need PayPal at checkout, and prefer one flat price with no course or cohort features to learn.

9. Podia: a light storefront for toolkits and workshop replays

Podia's public homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Podia's homepage in October 2026.

Podia is a simple storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and a community. A leadership coach might use it to sell a recorded workshop on running better one-to-ones, a downloadable team-charter template and a small paid community, all from one clean page.

The email allowance problem

As listed in October 2026: Mover is $49 a month ($42 billed annually) with 50 products, 500 videos, 25 community spaces and 100 email subscribers included, plus a 5% Podia transaction fee. Shaker is $99 ($84 annually) with 150 products, 500 email subscribers, 1 assistant and no transaction fee. Earthquaker is $179 ($150 annually) with unlimited products and 1,000 email subscribers. Stripe or PayPal processing at about 2.9% + 30¢ applies on top. The 14-day trial needs no credit card. Those allowances are small for this niche: a leadership newsletter with a few thousand managers and HR contacts would exceed every plan's included allowance.

Our older vendor profile notes Podia has no mobile app and no native video calls, and it has no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. Podia showed 4.1 on Trustpilot from 153 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell a few leadership toolkits and recordings with a small community, and you do not need structured coaching delivery.

10. Kartra: marketing automation first, coaching second

Kartra's public homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Kartra's homepage in October 2026.

Kartra is an all-in-one marketing suite with pages, funnels, email and SMS, memberships, calendars and a helpdesk. Leadership coaches who run paid ads to a webinar, follow up by SMS and sell a membership will find the marketing side deep.

Marketing depth versus coaching depth

As listed in October 2026: Essentials is $59 a month ($52 billed annually) with 500 contacts, 5 pages, 1 product, 1 membership or course and 10,000 emails a month, plus a 5% transaction fee. Starter is $119 ($99 annually) with 2,500 contacts, unlimited pages, products and memberships, unlimited email and SMS, 5 team members and no transaction fee. Growth is $229 ($189 annually) with 12,500 contacts and 10 team members. Professional is $549 ($429 annually) with 25,000 contacts. There is a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Processor fees are separate.

On delivery, Kartra has no client habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans. Our older profile also notes no mobile app for students or admins and says funnels and memberships are not portable to other platforms, which matters if you later move your leadership curriculum. Kartra showed 3.2 on Trustpilot from 129 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if paid traffic, funnels and SMS follow-up are the center of your business and your course is a simple membership area.

11. Systeme.io: the cheapest way to test a leadership course

Systeme.io's public homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

Systeme.io is a low-cost marketing suite with funnels, email, courses, a community, a blog and an affiliate program. For a leadership coach still testing demand, it can host a free email course on "your first 90 days as a manager" and a small paid course behind it, without a monthly bill at the start.

What the free plan really covers

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, 500 students, 1 blog, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign, and it does not expire. Startup is $17 a month with 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 5 courses. Webinar is $47 with 10,000 contacts, 50 funnels and 20 courses. Unlimited is $97 with unlimited contacts, funnels, courses and automation rules. Systeme.io charges no transaction fees on any plan, only Stripe or PayPal processing, and shows "no credit card required" under every sign-up button. One automation rule on the free plan is tight once you want a nurture sequence that branches by role.

The coaching side is thin. Our older profile notes no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, basic community and course features, and no branded mobile app. Systeme.io showed 4.9 on Trustpilot from 8,696 reviews in October 2026, the highest volume on this list.

Pick it over Coachful if budget is the deciding factor and you are validating a first leadership course before you take on coaching clients.

12. Stan Store: selling from your profile link

Stan Store's public homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Stan Store's homepage in October 2026.

Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls. A leadership coach who posts on LinkedIn or Instagram can put a paid strategy call, a mini course and a downloadable meeting template behind one profile link. Our guide on building a mini course that leads to coaching shows what to put in that first product.

When a link-in-bio store is enough

As listed in October 2026, Creator is $29 a month ($25 billed annually) with unlimited products and customers in one store. Creator Pro is $99 ($79 annually); email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates are only on Creator Pro. Stan takes no transaction fee, though Stripe or PayPal processing applies. The 14-day trial converts to a paid month when it ends, per its help center.

For leadership work beyond a single purchase, Stan Store has no contracts, invoices or client records, is not a CRM, has no programs with tasks, habits or check-ins, and advertises no team seats. A company that wants an invoice for 12 managers will not get one from the store. Stan Store showed 4.7 on Trustpilot from 2,205 reviews in October 2026.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell a handful of low-priced products to individuals from a social profile and do not need agreements, invoices or cohorts.

How do the 12 platforms compare feature by feature?

Course delivery is common; booking, agreements and between-session practice are where the field splits. This matrix uses vendor documentation and our profiles; "not listed" means the feature was not in the sources we used.

What does each platform cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Course platforms price by products, contacts or admins, while coaching platforms price by clients or coaches, so the cheapest tool changes with practice size. The table shows the lowest monthly-billed plan that fits each client count, before payment processing.

We chose the plan without a per-sale fee where one exists (Teachable Builder, Podia Shaker, LearnWorlds Pro Trainer) and Stan's Creator Pro because email marketing is only on that plan. Simply.Coach figures are those shown on its pricing page in October 2026; confirm the billing period, as noted above. Paperbell's figure is from its October 17, 2026 listing.

Should a leadership coach buy an all-in-one or assemble a stack?

An all-in-one is cheaper to run and easier for clients once you have more than a handful of engagements; an assembled stack makes sense only when one specialist feature, such as SCORM or enterprise CRM, is non-negotiable. Here are four realistic recipes for a practice with 15 active clients, using the October 2026 list prices above and excluding payment processing.

Recipe 1: all-in-one

Coachful alone covers the website, funnels, email, checkout, agreements, booking, courses, cohort groups and between-session practice at Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients. One login for you, one branded app for each participant, one client record that shows course progress next to session notes. Setup effort drops further if you ask the white-glove team to build the website and first funnel.

Recipe 2: course tool plus package tool

Teachable Builder at $89 plus Paperbell at $97 comes to $186 a month. Teachable hosts the leadership course; Paperbell sells the 1:1 package with its contract, booking and payment. Participants get two logins, and neither tool tracks habits or weekly reflections.

Recipe 3: course engine plus engagement tracker

Thinkific Start at $109 plus CoachAccountable Level 3 at $120 comes to $229 a month. Thinkific carries the cohort curriculum and community; CoachAccountable handles 1:1 booking, agreements and metrics. Every person in a company cohort counts as a CoachAccountable client, so a 20-manager cohort alone fills Level 3.

Recipe 4: lowest cash outlay

Systeme.io Startup at $17 plus Simply.Coach Growth at US$49 comes to about $66 a month, using the figures Simply.Coach showed in October 2026. That covers funnels, email and a basic course on one side and stakeholder-aware engagements on the other. The cost is in your time: two client records, two sets of notifications and manual work every time someone moves from the course into coaching.

Whatever recipe you choose, count the hours spent copying data between tools at your own hourly rate. That number, not the subscription line, is usually what makes an assembled stack expensive. Our comparison of client management platforms covers the same trade-off from the CRM side.

How would a leadership coach set this up in Coachful, step by step?

Here is an illustrative build for a coach launching an eight-week "First-Time Manager Lab" cohort sold to companies, with an optional 1:1 add-on for directors. The names and structure are an example, not a customer story.

  1. Request the website and funnel. From Create, use the white-glove card to ask for a homepage, a program page for the Lab and an application funnel. Attach your logo, brand colors and the slide deck you already use in workshops. The team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours, and leaves gaps where they need your real credentials or prices.
  2. Outline the course. Start from one of the course templates and set eight modules: role shift, one-to-ones, feedback, delegation, priorities, difficult conversations, team rhythm, and the first-year plan. Turn on drip so each module opens weekly and record lessons as short videos.
  3. Build the practice layer. Create a program that runs alongside the course. Each week gets a goal (for example, "hold a one-to-one with every direct report"), daily tasks, and a habit such as a two-minute end-of-day note. Add a morning check-in on energy and focus and an evening check-in on what happened.
  4. Set up the offer and checkout. Create the Lab as an offer with a payment plan for individuals and a coupon for company-funded seats. For a company paying by bank transfer, send a manual invoice instead.
  5. Attach the agreement. Write a coaching agreement that states what the sponsor sees (attendance and completion) and what stays private (session content), and send it for e-signature before the first call.
  6. Open booking for directors. Create a 1:1 session type with intake questions, buffers and time-zone detection, and choose auto-created Teams links if the client company works in Teams.
  7. Launch the cohort. Enrollment creates the cohort group automatically. Schedule weekly group calls as events and post a welcome thread asking each manager to name one leadership habit they want to change.
  8. Watch engagement and renew. Check each client's status before sessions, ask Michelle for a briefing on who has gone quiet, and set up an email sequence that invites graduates into an alumni group or a 1:1 follow-on.

How do you move an existing leadership course without losing clients?

Move between cohorts, not during one, and run both systems in parallel for a few weeks. Most leadership coaches switching platforms are leaving a course tool plus two or three side tools, so plan each piece separately.

  • Time it to the calendar. Finish the current cohort on the old platform and launch the next one on the new platform. Executive 1:1 clients can move at a natural break, such as the end of a quarter.
  • Export before you cancel. Download student lists, completion data, video files and any worksheets. On Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the full client data export (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses) is available as a ZIP if you ever leave.
  • Handle active payment plans deliberately. Let existing plans finish where they are, or agree a switch date with each client. Do not cancel a subscription mid-term without telling the person paying, especially when that person is a company's finance team.
  • Tell sponsors first. HR partners need to know where attendance and completion reports will come from after the move.
  • Redirect old links. Your LinkedIn featured section, email signature and past newsletters point to old sales pages; update or redirect them on switch day.

Our full checklist is in how to switch coaching platforms without disrupting clients.

Which mistakes do leadership coaches make when choosing a course platform?

The most common mistake is choosing for the course and forgetting the engagement around it. Others follow from that.

  • Buying a course tool for a coaching business. If most of your revenue is 1:1 and cohorts, a course-first platform leaves booking, agreements and practice tracking to other tools.
  • Missing per-sale fees. Teachable Starter's 7.5%, Podia Mover's 5%, Kartra Essentials' 5% and LearnWorlds Starter's $5 per paid enrollment add up fast on leadership programs priced in the thousands.
  • Forgetting that company cohorts count per person. On per-client pricing, a single 25-manager contract can push you up several tiers overnight.
  • Promising SCORM you cannot deliver. Ask early whether a corporate buyer needs content inside its own learning system; it changes which platform fits.
  • Leaving sponsor paperwork to email. An agreement that defines confidentiality, signed before the first call and stored with the client record, prevents most awkward conversations with HR later.
  • Logging ICF hours in a spreadsheet you update once a year. Reconstructing hundreds of hours from calendars is slow; a tool that counts as you go saves that work.
  • Overbuilding before selling. Record the first module, sell the cohort, then build the rest with the first group's questions in mind.

Which course platform should a leadership coach choose?

Choose Coachful if you deliver leadership programs that combine courses, cohorts and 1:1 engagements and you want one place for all of it. Choose LearnWorlds if SCORM is a hard requirement, Simply.Coach if sponsor-backed engagements with formal assessments make up most of your work, and Kajabi if you sell self-paced courses to a large audience and rarely coach 1:1.

Coachful in brief. Coachful is a coaching platform that puts booking, payments, agreements, courses, programs with habits and check-ins, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant behind one login, with one branded app for each client. It is for coaches who deliver programs rather than single sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six tools. It does not offer HIPAA certification, PayPal, a permanent free plan, Salesforce or HubSpot integration, or third-party plugins. To start, take a free trial and request the white-glove build of your website, funnel or first program from the Create page. The full product overview is on the online course platform for coaches page, and team options are on Coachful for teams.

Leadership coaches in neighboring niches face similar choices; see the guides for career coaches and life coaches, or the business coach overview.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best course platform for leadership coaches?

For most leadership coaches, Coachful is the best fit because it runs courses, cohort groups, 1:1 booking, agreements and between-session practice in one place. Kajabi is the strongest pure course storefront, and LearnWorlds is the best choice when a corporate client needs SCORM packages. Your mix of 1:1, cohort and self-paced revenue should decide.

Can I invoice a company for a leadership cohort?

In Coachful you can send manual invoices alongside per-transaction invoices, and payments run through your own Stripe or Razorpay account with Stripe Tax available. Tax treatment of cross-border corporate invoices varies by country, so check with an accountant before you set rates and tax settings. Course-only tools like Stan Store do not offer invoices.

Do leadership coaches need SCORM?

Only when a corporate buyer wants to run your content inside its own learning system. Other buyers are happy for participants to log in to your platform instead. Ask during the sales conversation; if SCORM is required, LearnWorlds documents SCORM packages on its Pro Trainer plan and above.

How do Coachful's trial and plans work?

Coachful has no permanent free plan, but there is a free trial so you can build and test before you pay. Plans are flat monthly, lower plans cap the number of clients and Pro is unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). The white-glove build service is free on every plan.

What is Coachful's free white-glove build service?

From Create, you describe what you want built, such as a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program or a course outline, and attach up to 8 links and 10 files. The Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours, without inventing credentials, testimonials or prices. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Can Coachful track my ICF coaching hours?

Yes. It counts coaching hours and distinct clients against the ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours. Check the current requirements on the ICF website before you apply.

Can associate coaches deliver my leadership program in Coachful?

Yes, on the Studio and Agency team plans, which add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions. Shared session types can assign clients by round-robin or least-busy rules. Coachful does not offer routing forms that pick a host from form answers.

Is Coachful suitable for confidential executive coaching?

Coachful is GDPR-ready, and client notes, check-ins and agreements sit on each client's record inside your account. It is not HIPAA-certified and is not meant for clinical record-keeping. Spell out in your coaching agreement what a sponsor will and will not see.

Should I choose Kajabi or Coachful as a leadership coach?

Choose Kajabi if you mainly sell self-paced courses and communities to a large audience. Choose Coachful if your leadership work includes cohorts and 1:1 engagements that need agreements, booking and between-session practice, because Kajabi has no per-client plans, habits or daily check-ins.

How long does it take to launch a leadership course on a new platform?

It depends mostly on how much content you have recorded. The platform side can be quick: Coachful's white-glove team usually builds a requested website, funnel or program outline within about 24 hours, and course templates give you a structure to film against. Recording the lessons is usually the longest step.
