The 10 Best Circle Alternatives for Business Coaches, Compared

The best circle alternatives for business coaches are the tools that keep a strong member community but also handle what Circle was never built for: booking paid strategy sessions, getting a coaching agreement signed, invoicing, and keeping each founder accountable to their quarterly priorities between calls. If your Circle space is busy but your 1:1 clients still live in Calendly, DocuSign, Stripe links and a spreadsheet, the deciding question is simple: do you want a better community, or one place for the whole client relationship?
Our pick is Coachful, because it puts booking, agreements, payments, programs with weekly goals and check-ins, courses and a community behind one login, with a branded app for your clients. We make Coachful, so read our ranking with that in mind; every other tool below is described from its own published pricing and documentation as listed in October 2026, and each entry ends with the situation where it beats Coachful. If you want the broader comparison for all coaching niches, see our parent guide to Circle alternatives for coaches.
What do business coaches need from a Circle replacement?
Business coaches need a platform that runs the full engagement: discovery call, proposal and agreement, paid 1:1 or group sessions, a structured program with accountability, and a peer community. Circle covers the last part very well and leaves the rest to other tools.
Business coaching has a particular shape. Most practices sell a mix of three things: a high-ticket 1:1 engagement (often three, six or twelve months), a group program or mastermind for founders at a similar stage, and lower-priced content such as a course or a workshop recording. The work between sessions matters as much as the calls themselves: a founder commits to three priorities for the week, reports numbers on Friday, and arrives at the next call with something to review. That rhythm is where clients see progress, and it is exactly what a community feed cannot track.
In practice, a business coach's software needs to cover:
- Discovery and sales: an application or booking funnel, intake questions, and a list of prospects you can follow up with.
- Contracting: a coaching agreement with scope, confidentiality, cancellation and payment terms, signed before the first call. Our guide to coaching contracts covers what to include.
- Payments: retainers, payment plans for six-month engagements, one-off strategy days, and invoices that a client's bookkeeper can file.
- Delivery: 1:1 sessions with calendar sync and video links, group calls, and a program that sets weekly goals, daily tasks and check-ins.
- Community and content: a mastermind space, cohort groups, event replays and a short course on your frameworks.
- Visibility: one client record that shows goals, notes, check-ins, payments and sessions, so you can prepare for a call in two minutes.
Where Circle is genuinely strong
Circle deserves its reputation. Its community is polished: spaces, threaded discussions, a member directory, live events and streams, courses, gamification, payments and a custom domain are all on the Professional plan, and Circle's iOS, Android and desktop apps are available to members. Business coaches running a paid mastermind or a large membership get a clean, credible home for it. Circle's Trustpilot score was 4.1 from 129 reviews when we checked on October 25, 2026.

Where business coaches outgrow it
According to Circle's own pricing and our vendor notes, Circle has no 1:1 scheduling or client management back office, and no per-client habits, check-ins or coaching plans. Agreements and e-signature are not part of it. Branded mobile apps are only on custom-priced Circle Plus, and Circle takes a 2% fee on payments on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus, plus Stripe processing. As listed in October 2026, Professional is $89/month, Business $199/month and Scale $419/month, all billed annually; monthly-billed prices are not shown. Our Circle pricing breakdown and Circle review go deeper.
So the typical business coach on Circle pays for Circle plus a scheduler, an e-signature tool, an invoicing setup, a form tool and often an email platform. Each tool is fine on its own. The friction comes from five logins, five bills and no single view of a client.
Which Circle alternatives are best for business coaches at a glance?
Coachful ranks first for business coaches, followed by community-first and marketing-first platforms that each solve part of the problem.
Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery (goals, habits, check-ins), total stack cost, and setup effort, including whether someone will build your setup for you.

How did we choose and rank these tools?
We started from the jobs a business coach does every week and asked which tools cover them natively, without a stack of add-ons.
We read each vendor's pricing page and documentation (prices verified October 25, 2026 unless noted), the limits on contacts, products, admins and communities, and the fees each platform takes on sales. We did not run hands-on tests; where we mention reviews, we cite the public score and count. We weighted four things: whether a coach and client can run the whole engagement from one login, how much between-session accountability the tool supports, the real monthly cost once you add the tools a platform lacks, and how long it takes to get live. Community quality mattered too, since anyone leaving Circle expects a decent member space, but it was one factor among several rather than the whole test. Direct coaching-practice tools such as Paperbell are covered separately in our Paperbell alternatives for business coaches, because few of them offer a community at all.
1. Coachful: the whole business coaching engagement in one login

Coachful is a coaching platform that replaces Circle and the four or five tools around it. One subscription covers booking, payments, coaching agreements, programs with goals, habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. You log in once; your clients use one app with your branding.
What a business coach actually gets
Start with the sales side. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions get built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, plus email reminders and, once messaging is enabled, SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before. You can ask intake questions at booking, sell paid sessions or session credits, and route multi-coach session types by round-robin or least-busy assignment when you add associates.

Contracting comes next. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and stay on the client record, so a six-month engagement starts with signed scope and terms rather than a PDF lost in someone's inbox.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Every transaction produces an invoice, and you can raise manual invoices for a strategy day or a team workshop. Since August 2026 there is a 0% Coachful platform fee; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Compare that with Circle's 0.5% to 2% on top of Stripe.
The part Circle cannot do: between-session accountability
Programs in Coachful run for as many weeks as you design, with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. For a founder, that looks like "close two new retainers this week" as the weekly goal, "review pipeline every morning" as a habit, and a Friday check-in on revenue and blockers. The client record pulls it together: goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments, sessions and an AI briefing, with each client marked thriving, active, quiet or at risk.

Here is a short walkthrough of how a client journey is built:
Community, courses and the website
The community you are moving from Circle has a home too: a feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, with cohort groups created automatically when someone enrolls in a program. Group calls and webinars sit alongside. Courses support modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, and everything lands in the client's branded home and app. The section-based website builder includes a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, and booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels carry pixels and UTM tracking. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits replace a separate email tool. For more on the community side, see our page on community software for coaches.

Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it briefs you before sessions, summarizes recorded sessions, drafts emails and content, and builds programs. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. ICF credential tracking counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create, choose "We'll build it for you", and describe what you need: a website, an application funnel, a 12-week program, a course outline, an email sequence or a sales page. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, such as your logo, brand guide or existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours, and leaves gaps for you rather than inventing credentials, testimonials or prices. One recent example: a business mentor for beauty professionals received a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Another, a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away, got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove build.
Honest limits
Coachful is not a fit for everything. It has no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration, so a business coaching firm with a dedicated sales team running enterprise deals may still want a CRM. There is no PayPal, no permanent free plan and no routing form that picks a host from form answers. Your clients get your branding inside the Coachful app, not an app under your own App Store account. It is not HIPAA-certified, which rarely matters in business coaching but is worth knowing. The affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually.
Price: flat monthly plans, with lower plans capping the number of clients and Pro unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Team plans add coach seats. A free trial is available, and monthly plans cancel in one click. Coachful holds 4.5 on Trustpilot from 21 reviews. See how it fits your practice on our business coaches page, or compare the two directly in Coachful vs Circle.
2. Mighty Networks: the most direct community swap

Mighty Networks is the platform most similar to Circle. It combines community, courses and events, with member apps under the Mighty brand. If your mastermind is the product and 1:1 work is a side line, this is the least disruptive move.
Why business coaches look at it
Business coaches running a membership for founders or a paid peer group get spaces, courses, livestreams and events in one network. Livestream allowances are clear: 20 hours a month with 100 attendees on Launch, 30 hours and 200 attendees on Scale, 40 hours and 1,000 attendees on Growth. That suits a monthly hot-seat call or a quarterly planning workshop.
Pricing in October 2026
Launch is $95/month ($79/month annual) with 3 hosts and 10 moderators. Scale is $215/month ($179/month annual) with 5 hosts. Growth is listed at $354/month on annual billing with 10 hosts and 100 moderators. Mighty Pro, with your own branded apps, is custom-priced. The 14-day free trial needs no credit card and includes Growth features. Mighty takes a platform fee of 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing.
The gaps for 1:1 work
Mighty Networks has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. You keep the same side stack you had with Circle. It holds 3.3 on Trustpilot from 219 reviews. Our Circle vs Mighty Networks comparison covers the differences in detail.
Pick it over Coachful if your business is a large paid community or membership, you rarely run 1:1 engagements, and you want a feature set that maps almost one-to-one onto what you built in Circle.
3. Kajabi: for coaches whose income comes from courses

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. Business coaches with a signature online program, a library of trainings and a sizeable email list often land here.
Strengths for business coaching
You can build a course on your growth framework, a sales funnel to sell it, an email sequence to nurture leads and a community for buyers, all inside one account. Growth and Pro plans add more products, contacts, admin users and AI credits, which helps a coach with a small team handling launches.
What it costs and what is capped
As listed in October 2026, Basic is $179/month ($143/month annual) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249/month ($199/month annual) with 50 products and 25,000 contacts. Pro is $499/month ($399/month annual) with unlimited products and 3 communities. Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro; using another provider (other than PayPal) adds an extra 0.5% to 2% Kajabi fee. The standard trial is 14 days.
Where it stops
Kajabi treats coaching as products and communities, not per-client plans, so there are no habits or daily client check-ins. A founder on a six-month engagement gets course access and a community, but you track their weekly commitments elsewhere. The 2,500-contact cap on Basic arrives quickly once you run lead magnets. Trustpilot shows 3.4 from 2,347 reviews. See also our Kajabi alternatives for business coaches.
Pick it over Coachful if most of your revenue comes from self-paced courses sold to a large list, and 1:1 engagements are a small share of what you do.
4. GoHighLevel: an agency CRM that coaches can bend to fit

GoHighLevel (HighLevel) is an agency-first marketing CRM: funnels, websites, calendars, SMS and email, invoicing, contracts, courses and communities, organized around sub-accounts. Among the other tools here, it is the one whose documentation lists calendars, contracts and invoicing together.
Who gets the most out of it
A business coach who runs paid ads, follows up leads by SMS and phone, and has a VA or agency managing the pipeline will find a deep toolbox. Unlimited users and contacts on every plan is generous for a growing team.
Price and metered extras
Starter is $97/month ($80.83/month annual) with 3 sub-accounts. Unlimited is $297/month ($247.50/month annual). Agency Pro is $497/month ($414.17/month annual). There is no HighLevel platform fee on sales, but SMS, email, phone numbers and AI usage are metered and billed on top of the plan price, at rates listed on separate pricing guides. The 14-day trial bills automatically at the end unless you cancel. HIPAA is a $297/month add-on. Trustpilot shows 4.9 from 15,250 reviews.
The trade-off
There is no habit tracking, client check-ins or structured coaching-program engine; you would simulate it with workflows and forms. There are no built-in video rooms, only Zoom and Google Meet links. The learning curve is steep for a solo coach, which is why many hire someone to configure it. Our GoHighLevel alternatives for business coaches covers who it suits.
Pick it over Coachful if you need a multi-stage sales pipeline, call tracking and SMS campaigns for a team, or you also run an agency serving client businesses from sub-accounts.
5. Kartra: launch-driven marketing suite

Kartra bundles pages, funnels, email and SMS, memberships, calendars and a helpdesk. It suits a business coach who sells through launches and webinars and wants the marketing machinery in one place.
How it fits a business coach
You can run a webinar funnel into a membership area, book calls through Kartra's calendars, and send unlimited email and SMS from the Starter plan up. Memberships replace the course side of Circle, though Kartra is not a community-first product.
Plans as listed
Essentials is $59/month ($52/month annual) with 500 contacts, 5 pages, 1 product and a 5% transaction fee. Starter is $119/month ($99/month annual) with 2,500 contacts, unlimited pages and products, 5 team members and 0% fee. Growth is $229/month ($189/month annual) with 12,500 contacts. Professional is $549/month ($429/month annual). A 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee are offered.
Watch-outs
There are no client habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans, and our older profile notes no mobile app for students or admins. Funnels and memberships are not portable to other platforms, which matters if you later move. Trustpilot shows 3.2 from 129 reviews.
Pick it over Coachful if your business runs on live launch campaigns with heavy SMS follow-up and a helpdesk, and you do not need structured client accountability.
6. Podia: the simplest storefront

Podia is a simple storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and community. Business coaches who sell templates, workshop recordings and a few coaching packages, and want to be live in an afternoon, like its simplicity.
What business coaches use it for
A pricing-strategy coach, for example, might sell a cash-flow template, a recorded pricing workshop and a 90-minute strategy call from one Podia site, with a small community space for buyers.
October 2026 pricing
Mover is $49/month ($42/month annual) with 50 products and 100 email subscribers, and a 5% Podia fee on sales. Shaker is $99/month ($84/month annual) with 150 products, 500 email subscribers and 0% fee. Earthquaker is $179/month ($150/month annual) with unlimited products and 1,000 email subscribers. The 14-day trial needs no card.
Limits to weigh
Email allowances are small for a coach building a list. Our older profile notes no mobile app and no native video calls. There are no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. Trustpilot shows 4.1 from 153 reviews.
Pick it over Coachful if you mostly sell digital products and occasional calls, want the plainest possible setup, and do not run ongoing client programs.
7. Thinkific: academies with built-in communities

Thinkific is a course platform with communities, memberships and webinar products. Business coaches building a structured academy, perhaps certifying other consultants in their method, get a mature course engine.
Where it helps
Start includes 1 community with 10 spaces and 5 live community events; Grow raises that to 3 communities and 20 spaces. That covers a cohort-based academy with a member area, similar to a Circle space plus Circle courses.
Cost and fees
Start is $109/month ($82/month annual), Grow $219/month ($164/month annual) and Expand $499/month ($374/month annual), after a roughly 10% rise on August 13, 2026. There is a 0% Thinkific fee when you use Thinkific Payments; third-party gateways carry an extra per-plan fee not listed on the page. The free trial is 30 days. A branded mobile app is a $199/month add-on.
What is missing for coaching
Our older profile notes no built-in 1:1 scheduling; coaching relies on external booking links. There are no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans. Trustpilot shows 1.8 from 868 reviews. More in our Thinkific alternatives for coaches.
Pick it over Coachful if you are building a large course academy, possibly with thousands of students, and 1:1 coaching is not part of the offer.
8. Skool: low-cost, gamified groups

Skool combines a community, a classroom and a calendar in one group, with gamified leaderboards. Plenty of business coaches use it for free communities that feed a paid offer.
Appeal for business coaches
Setup is fast, members understand it quickly, and leaderboards reward participation. For a free founder community that funnels into a high-ticket program, it is cheap to run.
Prices and per-sale fees
Hobby is $9/month ($7.50/month annual) and Pro $99/month ($82.50/month annual), both with unlimited members, courses and live calls. Payments go only through Skool Payments: Hobby charges 10% + 30¢ on every transaction; Pro charges 2.9% + 30¢ up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900. On a high-ticket business coaching sale, that top rate adds up. The pricing page did not state trial length when checked.
Constraints
Skool has no custom domain website, funnels, email automation or public API, and no 1:1 client records, intake forms, habits or check-ins. Trustpilot shows 1.6 from 54 reviews. Our Skool alternatives for business coaches and the Skool vs Circle comparison go further.
Pick it over Coachful if you only need a cheap, gamified community with leaderboards to grow an audience, and you sell your main coaching offer somewhere else.
9. Systeme.io: the budget marketing stack

Systeme.io is a low-cost all-in-one marketing suite: funnels, email, courses, community, blog and an affiliate program. For a business coach just starting out, it replaces several marketing tools for very little.
Good fit when
You need a lead magnet, an email sequence and a sales page for a workshop, and you want to spend almost nothing while you validate the offer.
Plans in October 2026
The Free plan never expires and includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels and 1 course. Startup is $17/month (5,000 contacts, 10 funnels), Webinar $47/month and Unlimited $97/month. There are 0% transaction fees on all plans, including Free. Trustpilot shows 4.9 from 8,696 reviews.
Shortfalls
Our older profile notes no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, and basic community and course features with no branded mobile app. It is a marketing engine, not a delivery platform, so your engagements still need another home.
Pick it over Coachful if budget is the deciding factor, you are pre-revenue, and you only need funnels, email and a basic course for now.
10. LearnWorlds: interactive training for corporate buyers

LearnWorlds is a course and LMS platform with a website builder, funnels, SCORM and interactive video. Business coaches who sell training to companies, where buyers expect SCORM files and reporting, are its natural audience.
The business coaching angle
If a corporate client asks for your leadership or sales program inside their own LMS, SCORM packages on Pro Trainer (20 included) solve that. Interactive video suits self-paced modules for managers.
Listed prices
Starter is $29/month ($24/month annual) with 1 admin and 1,000 active learners a month, plus $5 per paid enrollment. Pro Trainer is $99/month ($79/month annual) with 5 admins and no LearnWorlds fee. Learning Center is $299/month ($249/month annual). The 30-day trial needs no card, according to LearnWorlds. Trustpilot shows 4.8 from 423 reviews. Note that the screenshot above shows euro prices.
Not designed for
LearnWorlds is not built for 1:1 client management, habits or check-ins. Active-learner caps apply monthly, and a branded mobile app is a separately priced add-on.
Pick it over Coachful if you mainly sell e-learning to corporate L&D teams that require SCORM, and individual coaching is a small part of the business.
How do the features compare side by side?
Only Coachful covers 1:1 booking, agreements, between-session check-ins, community and courses in one product. The rest cover two or three of these.
| Tool | 1:1 booking | Agreements with e-signature | Habits and check-ins | Community | Courses | Client app |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Yes, with calendar sync and video | Yes | Yes | Yes, plus auto cohort groups | Yes | Your branding in the Coachful app |
| Circle (for reference) | No | No | No | Yes | Yes | Circle-branded; own apps on Circle Plus |

| LearnWorlds | No | Not listed | No | Not core | Yes, with SCORM | Paid add-on |
What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?
For most tools here the price depends on contacts, products or admins rather than clients, so the cost barely moves between 5 and 40 clients. The bigger difference is the side stack you still need. Figures below are monthly-billed list prices from October 2026 unless noted, before payment processing.
| Tool | 5 clients | 15 clients | 40 clients | Still needed for 1:1 work |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Nothing; booking, agreements, invoices and check-ins included in your Coachful membership |
| Circle Professional | $89 (annual only) + 2% of sales | $89 (annual only) + 2% of sales | $89 (annual only) + 2% of sales | Scheduler, e-signature, invoicing, check-in tool |
| Mighty Networks Launch | $95 + 2% of sales | $95 + 2% of sales | $95 + 2% of sales | Scheduler, e-signature, invoicing, check-in tool |
| Kajabi Basic | $179 | $179 | $179 | Check-in tool; scheduler and e-signature |
| GoHighLevel Starter | $97 + metered usage | $97 + metered usage | $97 + metered usage | Check-in or program tool |
| Kartra | $59 Essentials + 5% of sales | $119 Starter | $119 Starter | E-signature, check-in tool |
| Podia Shaker | $99 | $99 | $99 | Scheduler with sync, e-signature, check-in tool |
| Thinkific Start | $109 | $109 | $109 | Scheduler, e-signature, check-in tool |
| Skool Pro | $99 + 2.9% + 30¢ per sale | $99 + 2.9% + 30¢ per sale | $99 + 2.9% + 30¢ per sale | Website, email, scheduler, e-signature, check-ins |
| Systeme.io Startup | $17 | $17 | $17 | Scheduler, e-signature, check-in tool |
| LearnWorlds Pro Trainer | $99 | $99 | $99 | Scheduler, e-signature, check-in tool |
Kartra's Essentials plan caps contacts at 500 and takes 5%, which is why the table moves to Starter once your list and client count grow. Skool's Pro rate rises to 3.9% + 30¢ on sales above $900, which covers most high-ticket business coaching packages. We have not priced the side tools, because their cost depends on which ones you choose; add your own figures to compare totals honestly.
How would a business coach set this up in Coachful?
Here is an example setup for a business coach selling a six-month "Operator Program" for agency founders, combining 1:1 calls, a small mastermind and a short course. The program name and structure are illustrative.

- Ask for the build. In Create, choose "We'll build it for you" and request an application funnel, a sales page and a six-month program outline. Attach your logo, your current one-page offer and two reference sites. The team builds it inside your account, typically within about 24 hours.
- Connect payments. Link your Stripe Connect account and set up two options: one payment in full and a six-month payment plan. Add a coupon for alumni if you use one.
- Write the agreement. Create a coaching agreement covering scope, session count, confidentiality, cancellation and payment terms, and set it to go out before the first call. Have a lawyer review the template, since contract rules vary by country and state.
- Set up booking. Create a free 30-minute discovery call with intake questions about revenue stage, team size and the biggest bottleneck, and a paid 90-minute strategy session for clients who only want a one-off. Add buffers and minimum notice, and sync your Google or Outlook calendar.
- Build the program. Set weekly goals per phase (for example, weeks 1 to 4 on offer and pricing, weeks 5 to 12 on pipeline, and so on), daily tasks such as "update the pipeline", a habit for a weekly CEO review, and a Friday evening check-in asking for revenue booked, leads and blockers.
- Open the community. Enrolling in the program automatically creates the cohort group. Schedule a monthly group hot-seat call as a video event and post replays to the feed.
- Add the course. Upload your framework as a short course with modules and drip, so new clients get one lesson a week alongside their calls.
- Automate follow-up. Build an email sequence for applicants who booked a call but did not buy, with a delay and a branch based on whether they opened the first email.
- Prepare for each call. Before every session, ask Michelle for a client briefing from their check-ins, goals and notes, and review which clients are marked quiet or at risk.
To set your price, work backwards: estimate the hours per client (calls, async review, group time), decide the hourly value you need for the practice to be sustainable, and compare it with the result a founder can reasonably expect over six months. If you run masterminds, our guide to hosting a client mastermind without Circle covers the facilitation side, and our group coaching software page shows how cohorts run.
Which mistakes should you avoid when leaving Circle?
The most common mistake is replacing Circle with another community tool and leaving the 1:1 stack untouched. A few others are worth avoiding:
- Comparing plan prices only. A $9 or $17 plan looks cheap until you add a scheduler, e-signature, invoicing and a check-in tool, or a 10% fee on a high-ticket sale.
- Ignoring payment fees. Platform fees of 0.5% to 10% compound on retainers. Check the rate on your plan, not the headline.
- Migrating content without a plan. Circle lets you export members and subscriptions as CSV, but according to our older profile, posts and content have no bulk export. Decide which threads and resources are worth re-posting, and archive the rest.
- Moving paying members abruptly. Give members a date, a short video tour of the new space, and a reason to log in on day one, such as a live call.
- Skipping the agreement. Six-month business engagements without signed terms cause refund disputes. Send the agreement before the first call.
- Overbuilding the community. Founders are busy. Two or three active spaces beat twenty quiet ones.
What is our verdict?
For business coaches, Coachful is the best Circle alternative because it covers the whole engagement: booking, agreements, payments, weekly goals and check-ins, courses and a community, with one login and a free white-glove build to get you live. Mighty Networks is the closest community swap if your mastermind is the whole business. Kajabi suits course-heavy coaches, GoHighLevel suits teams running aggressive follow-up, and Skool or Systeme.io are budget options for audience building. Pick based on where your revenue comes from, not on which community looks nicest.
In short: Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, from solo practices to small teams replacing four to six tools. It does not replace an enterprise sales CRM, offer PayPal or provide clinical record-keeping. To start, take the free trial and request the free white-glove build from Create.
Frequently asked questions
Is Circle good for business coaches?
Circle is very good for the community part of business coaching: masterminds, memberships, events and courses. It does not include 1:1 scheduling, client records, agreements or per-client check-ins, so most business coaches pair it with several other tools.
What is the best Circle alternative for business coaches?
We rank Coachful first because it combines community and courses with 1:1 booking, agreements, payments and between-session programs in one login. If you only need a community, Mighty Networks is the closest like-for-like replacement.
Which Circle alternative has the lowest fees on sales?
Coachful, GoHighLevel and Systeme.io list no platform fee on sales, and Kartra, Podia and Thinkific reach 0% on certain plans or payment setups. Circle charges 0.5% to 2% depending on plan, and Skool charges per transaction on both plans.
Can I move my Circle members to another platform?
Circle lets you export members and subscriptions as CSV at any time, according to our vendor notes, but posts and content have no bulk export. Plan to re-create key resources and invite members with a clear switch date.
Does Coachful have a community like Circle?
Yes. Coachful includes a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, and creates cohort groups automatically when clients enroll in a program. It sits in the same app as your sessions, programs and courses.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or other asset inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. You attach references and files; they build without inventing credentials, testimonials or prices. Recording videos, logo design and ad management are not included.
Can I send coaching agreements and invoices without extra tools?
In Coachful, agreements with e-signature, per-transaction invoices and manual invoices are included in your Coachful membership. GoHighLevel also includes contracts and invoicing. Circle, Mighty Networks and Skool do not.
Do any of these tools give clients a branded app?
Circle and Mighty Networks offer branded apps only on custom-priced top tiers, and Thinkific and LearnWorlds sell them as add-ons. Coachful gives clients your branding inside the Coachful app, not an app under your own App Store account.
Is Skool cheaper than Circle for a business coaching community?
Skool's plan prices are lower, but it takes a fee on every transaction: 10% + 30¢ on Hobby, and 2.9% + 30¢ up to $899 or 3.9% + 30¢ above on Pro. For high-ticket offers, those fees can outweigh the plan savings, and Skool has no website, email automation or 1:1 client records.
Do I need a CRM in addition to Coachful?
Most solo and small-team business coaches do not, since Coachful includes prospects, intakes, client records and email. If you run a multi-stage deal board for a sales team or need Salesforce or HubSpot integration, keep a dedicated CRM, because Coachful does not offer those.
