Kajabi vs Wix for Coaches: 2026 Prices, Features, Verdict

In the Kajabi vs Wix decision, the short answer is this: Kajabi is the better pick if your coaching business is built around selling courses, memberships and a community, and Wix is the better pick if you mainly need a good-looking website with a booking calendar for paid sessions. Kajabi costs far more (from $179 a month, or $143 a month billed annually, as listed in October 2026) and gives you a full digital-product stack. Wix starts at $17 a month billed annually and gives you a flexible site builder with Wix Bookings from its Core plan. Neither was designed around the thing most coaches actually deliver: a client working through a plan, week after week, between sessions.
This guide compares the two head to head for coaches: plans and fees, website building, booking and payments, courses and programs, email, the client experience and data export. Then it looks at a third option. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that puts booking, payments, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community and a website under one login, so we will be clear about where it beats both tools and where it does not.

Kajabi vs Wix: what is the short answer by use case?
Pick by what you sell. If your revenue comes from digital products, Kajabi fits; if it comes from booked sessions and you need a site first, Wix fits; if it comes from coaching programs where clients need support between calls, neither fits well.
- You sell a signature course, a membership or a paid community: Kajabi. Courses, community, funnels, email and a website live in one account, and its marketing emails are unlimited.
- You sell 1:1 sessions and want a polished website on a budget: Wix. The Core plan includes "Scheduling and services" (Wix Bookings) and online payments for $29 a month billed annually.
- You sell multi-week coaching programs with goals, habits and check-ins: neither tool lists habit tracking or structured client check-ins. Kajabi treats coaching as products and communities; Wix would need forms, program steps or third-party apps. This is where a coaching platform such as Coachful fits better.
- You are just starting and have almost no budget: Wix has a permanent free plan (with Wix branding and no custom domain), Kajabi has a 14-day trial. Be aware that the free Wix plan cannot take payments.
- You are scaling a large email list and an affiliate program: Kajabi Growth or Pro, which add automation and an affiliate program and lift the contact limit to 25,000 or 100,000.
If you already know you are leaving one of them, our guide to moving a coaching website off Kajabi, Wix or Squarespace covers the export steps.
How do Kajabi and Wix compare side by side?
Kajabi is a course, community and marketing platform; Wix is a general website builder with apps for bookings, programs and pricing plans. The table below adds Coachful as the third column of the decision.
How we ranked them: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost for a working coaching business, and setup effort (including whether someone will build it for you).
| Platform | Built for | Booking 1:1 sessions | Habits and check-ins | Courses and community | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who deliver programs, from solo to small team | Built in, with two-way calendar sync, reminders and paid sessions | Yes: daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, streaks | Yes, plus cohort groups created on enrollment | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients |
| Kajabi | Selling courses, memberships and communities | Coaching sold as a product alongside courses; no per-client plans | Not listed | Yes, core strength | $179/mo, or $143/mo billed annually |
| Wix | General websites for any business | Wix Bookings from the Core plan | Not listed; would need forms, program steps or apps | Online Programs app and member groups | Free plan; paid from $17/mo billed annually |
On public reviews, both vendors sit at the same Trustpilot score: Kajabi 3.4 from 2,347 reviews (seen October 25, 2026) and Wix 3.4 from 29,316 reviews (seen October 28, 2026). Coachful is rated 4.5 on Trustpilot from 21 reviews, a much smaller sample.

How much do Kajabi and Wix cost in 2026?
Kajabi costs $179, $249 or $499 a month on monthly billing ($143, $199 or $399 billed annually), as listed in October 2026. Wix Premium plans run from $17 to $159 a month billed annually, according to Wix's own pricing articles, with a free plan below that.
A few details matter more than the headline number. Wix localizes prices by visitor location and shows yearly prices paid in full up front; it did not publish monthly-billing prices on an official page we could find, so the Wix figures below are annual-billing only. Kajabi's annual figures come from the structured data on its pricing page.
| Plan | Price (as listed October 2026) | Key limits | Takes payments? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Flat monthly plans; lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, team plans add seats | Yes, through your own Stripe or Razorpay account, 0% platform fee |
| Kajabi Basic | $179/mo or $143/mo annual | 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users, 0 AI credits | Yes |
| Kajabi Growth | $249/mo or $199/mo annual | 50 products, 25,000 contacts, 11 admin users, 500 AI credits, affiliate program | Yes |
| Kajabi Pro | $499/mo or $399/mo annual | Unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 communities, 3 websites, 26 admin users, branded app | Yes |
| Wix Free | $0 | Wix branding, no custom domain, 200 marketing emails a month | No |
| Wix Light | $17/mo annual ($204/yr) | 2 GB storage, 2 collaborators, custom domain | No |
| Wix Core | $29/mo annual ($348/yr) | 50 GB storage, 5 collaborators, Bookings, basic eCommerce | Yes |
| Wix Business | $39/mo annual ($468/yr) | 100 GB storage, 10 collaborators, standard eCommerce and marketing | Yes |
| Wix Business Elite | $159/mo annual ($1,908/yr) | Unlimited storage, 100 collaborators, advanced developer platform | Yes |
Wix's yearly totals are the per-month price multiplied by 12. Wix says prices and currency vary by location and exclude taxes, which are set by your billing address.

Trials and guarantees
Kajabi offers a standard 14-day trial according to its help center. A card is optional; if you enter one, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges on the day the trial ends. Some features, such as bulk contact import, test emails and some automations, stay locked until you activate a paid plan. Every Kajabi plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Wix does not offer a free trial of Premium plans. Instead you can build on the free plan for as long as you like, and the first upgrade to a Premium plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Add-ons that change the bill
- Kajabi: extra contacts cost $125 a month per 25,000. An AI credit top-up of $15 for 500 credits is marked as coming. The branded mobile app appears only on Pro in Kajabi's comparison table.
- Wix: business email through Google Workspace is billed separately per mailbox. Email Marketing sends are capped by plan, and both campaigns and automated emails count against the quota. A branded native member app is a separate option from the free Spaces by Wix app.
For the full breakdown of Kajabi's tiers and what coaches typically outgrow, see our Kajabi pricing guide.
What do you really pay once payment fees are added?
Both charge standard card processing on their own payment systems, but Kajabi adds a surcharge if you bring another processor, and Wix requires a payment-enabled plan before you can sell at all.
| Platform | Own payments | Other processors | PayPal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account; only their processing fees, 0% platform fee | Stripe and Razorpay only | Not supported |
| Kajabi | Kajabi Payments (US): 2.9% + $0.30 Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 Growth, 2.7% + $0.30 Pro | Extra Kajabi fee of 2% Basic, 1% Growth, 0.5% Pro on top of the provider's fees | Supported, no surcharge |
| Wix | Wix Payments (US): 2.9% + $0.30 per online card payment, $15 chargeback fee | Manual payments also available | Through Wix Payments from 3.49% + $0.49 |
A worked example
Here is an illustrative month, not real customer data. Say a coach collects $3,000 from ten clients paying $300 each, by card, and pays annually for the software.
- Kajabi Basic with Kajabi Payments: $143 for the plan, plus about $90 in processing (2.9% of $3,000 is $87, plus ten fees of $0.30). Roughly $233 for the month.
- Kajabi Basic with an outside processor such as Stripe: the same plan, the processor's own fee, and an extra 2% Kajabi fee, which is another $60 on $3,000.
- Wix Core with Wix Payments: $29 for the plan plus about $90 in processing. Roughly $119 for the month, before any business email or extra email sends.
Wix wins on raw cost by a wide margin. The question is what you give up for that saving, which the next sections cover. With Coachful you pay the flat plan for your client count (Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients for a 15-client practice) plus your own Stripe or Razorpay processing, with no platform percentage on top.
Which is better for building a coaching website?
Wix is the stronger pure website builder: drag-and-drop design, a large template range, and storage and collaborator limits that scale by plan. Kajabi's site builder is good enough for a course business, but it is built to sell products rather than to give you design freedom.
Wix's free plan gives you hosting and the editor, but it keeps Wix branding and does not let you connect your own domain. The Light plan removes branding and adds a custom domain (with a free domain voucher for a year on yearly plans), but it cannot accept payments. For a coach who sells sessions online, Core is the realistic starting point.
Kajabi includes one website on Basic and Growth and three on Pro, plus unlimited funnels and landing pages from Basic. If you want separate sites for separate brands, that pushes you to Pro.
Coachful sits between the two. Its section-based website builder includes a blog, a custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus an Import website option. It is not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, and it has no third-party plugins, so if you want a design playground Wix has more range. If you want a site whose buttons lead straight into booking, applications and checkout in the same system, Coachful is simpler. See our coach website builder page or the deeper comparisons of Squarespace vs Wix and Showit vs Wix.

Which handles booking and payments better for coaches?
Wix does, for straightforward session booking. Wix Bookings ("Scheduling and services") is included from Core and handles appointments and classes with online payment; the Pricing Plans app sells memberships, session packages and subscriptions that can include bookings or programs.
Kajabi approaches coaching differently. Sessions and coaching programs are sold as products alongside courses and communities, which works when the session is part of a product bundle, but Kajabi's coaching model does not include per-client plans. If your 1:1 calendar needs more than Kajabi documents, a separate scheduling tool means one more login and one more bill.
On payments, Wix requires Core or higher to take online money at all. Kajabi takes payments from Basic, with PayPal supported and a surcharge for other processors (see the fee table above).
For comparison, Coachful's booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links; email reminders plus SMS and WhatsApp reminders once messaging is enabled; paid sessions, session credits and intake questions on booking. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. More on our scheduling software page.

Here is a short walkthrough of how scheduling works inside Coachful:
Which is better for courses, programs and community?
Kajabi, clearly. Courses and communities are its core product, and its plans are sized around how many products and communities you sell. Wix can deliver step-by-step courses, programs and challenges through its Online Programs app, but it is an app added to a website rather than the center of the platform.
What each one includes:
- Kajabi: courses, community, website, funnels and email in one platform. Basic allows 5 products and 1 community; Growth 50 products; Pro unlimited products and 3 communities.
- Wix: the Online Programs app runs courses, programs and challenges; paid programs need a payment-enabled plan. Members can use the Spaces by Wix app to book, join groups and chat.
The gap both share is per-client coaching. Kajabi's coaching is products and communities, not individual plans, and it does not list habit tracking or daily check-ins. Wix lists neither as features either; you would have to imitate them with forms and program steps. If your clients need a daily task, a habit to tick off and a check-in you can read before the next call, neither tool was designed for it.
If courses are your main product, compare Kajabi with other course platforms in our Kajabi vs Thinkific breakdown, or see how Coachful handles courses on our online course platform for coaches page.
How do email marketing and funnels compare?
Kajabi is far stronger here. Unlimited funnels, landing pages and marketing emails are included from Basic, so your email bill does not rise with sending volume, only with contacts (2,500 on Basic, 25,000 on Growth, 100,000 on Pro).
Wix pairs its Contacts CRM (with segments) with Wix Email Marketing and automations, but sends are capped per plan. Free sites get 200 emails a month, and both campaigns and automated emails count toward the monthly balance. A coach with an active newsletter and a welcome sequence can run into that cap and need an upgrade or a separate email tool.
Coachful includes email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking. For a closer look at how that compares with Kajabi specifically, read Coachful vs Kajabi for coaching funnels and email.

What does the client experience feel like on each?
On Kajabi, a client logs into a product library: courses, community posts and whatever coaching product they bought. On Wix, a client visits a website, books a session, and, if you have set up the Members Area and apps, logs in to see programs and bookings. Neither gives the client a single place where their goals, tasks, habits, sessions and notes from you sit together.
That matters more than it sounds. Most coaching results happen between sessions, when the client is supposed to be practicing something. If the only touchpoint is a booking confirmation and a course login, clients drift. On either platform, the usual way to fill that gap is email reminders, a separate habit app, a shared document or a messaging app, and each added tool is another place a client can get lost.
On the mobile side, Kajabi's branded app is on Pro in its comparison table. Wix members can use the free Spaces by Wix app, with a branded native app offered separately.

Coachful's client view is built around that between-session work. Each client gets a branded home and app with their programs, weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars, streaks, sessions and documents. The client app runs under the Coachful listing with your branding, not as your own App Store app.

Can you move your data out of Kajabi or Wix later?
Partly. Both let you export contacts, but neither lets you lift your whole site or course into another platform.
- Kajabi: CSV exports for contacts, subscriptions, sales and members, sent by email. Course content is downloaded manually per asset. Its older help documentation (September 2026 profile) said data is removed 90 days after cancellation.
- Wix: contacts export to CSV (up to 50,000 at a time), CMS collections and store products export to CSV, and booking and staff reports export from the booking calendar. Wix says sites cannot be transferred to other platforms and blog posts cannot be exported.
That second point is worth weighing before you invest months in a Wix blog. Coachful offers a full client data export as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses) plus a course export, and imports your clients, programs and content for you during onboarding.
Which should you pick for your kind of coaching?
Match the tool to your delivery model, not to the feature list.
| Your situation | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: you run 1:1 or group programs where clients work on goals and habits between sessions | Coachful | Booking, payments, contracts, programs with check-ins, courses, community and website in one login |
| You sell a flagship course and a paid community to a growing list | Kajabi | Unlimited funnels and emails, course and community at the core |
| You are launching a session-based practice and need a site this week | Wix Core | Low annual cost, Bookings included, flexible design |
| You have no budget and only need a web presence for now | Wix Free | Free hosting and editor, but Wix branding and no payments |
| You run a team selling many products under several brands | Kajabi Pro | 3 websites, 3 communities, 26 admin users, branded app |

Is there a third option? When Coachful beats both, and when it does not
Yes. If your coaching is a program rather than a product or a calendar, Coachful replaces the stack you would build around either Kajabi or Wix.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.
Where Coachful beats Kajabi
- Per-client delivery: multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins and streaks, which Kajabi does not list.
- A real practice calendar: booking pages, two-way calendar sync, reminders, paid sessions and session credits, without adding a separate scheduling tool.
- Client records: goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments, sessions and an AI briefing for each client, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk.
- Payment fees: no platform percentage on your own Stripe or Razorpay account, while Kajabi surcharges outside processors.
- Contracts: coaching agreements with e-signature, sent before the first call.
Where Coachful beats Wix
- Everything after the booking: programs, check-ins, courses, community and client records in the same system as the site.
- Email built into the client journey: lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with branching and A/B splits are included in your Coachful membership.
- Exports: a full client data ZIP and course export, compared with Wix's statement that sites cannot be transferred and blog posts cannot be exported.
Where Coachful does not beat them
- No PayPal and no permanent free plan. Wix has a free plan and Kajabi supports PayPal.
- Not a general website builder. If you also run a shop, a portfolio or non-coaching sites, Wix is more flexible, and Coachful has no third-party plugins.
- Not a course marketplace. If your business is mainly selling courses to a large audience, Kajabi's product limits and marketing are built for exactly that.
- Not HIPAA-certified. There is no BAA, so clinical record-keeping and insurance billing belong in a clinical system. Coaching is not treatment; health and wellness coaches should refer clients to a licensed professional when an issue is medical or psychological.
- App and integrations. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not your own App Store account. There is no Salesforce or HubSpot integration, and no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync.
- Affiliate payouts. Coachful tracks affiliate links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually rather than sent for you.
Other things included in your Coachful membership
Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before sessions. Questions and planning are included; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. There is also ICF credential tracking that counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds, a social planner that schedules posts to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube, and Instagram automations that send a booking link or lead magnet by DM when someone comments a keyword. Templates include more than 40 program templates, 48 course templates with quizzes and about 25 funnel templates.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you, describe what you want (a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form, link in bio and more), attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi had their homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected; a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more about the free white-glove service.

How to start. Start a free trial, then use the white-glove build to move your site, funnel or program across. Monthly plans cancel in one click. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. Practices that need unlimited clients can start on Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients. For a direct comparison with Kajabi, see Coachful vs Kajabi, or browse the Kajabi alternative page.
Frequently asked questions
Is Kajabi or Wix better for a new coach?
For a brand-new coach selling sessions, Wix is usually the cheaper start: the Core plan at $29 a month billed annually includes Bookings and payments. Kajabi makes more sense once you have a course or community to sell. If you plan to run programs with check-ins, start on a coaching platform so you do not have to migrate later.
Is Kajabi worth the price compared to Wix?
It is if your revenue comes from courses, memberships and email marketing, because Kajabi includes unlimited funnels, landing pages and marketing emails from Basic. If you mostly sell 1:1 sessions, you would be paying $143 to $399 a month (billed annually) for product features you rarely use.
Can Wix host online courses like Kajabi?
Yes, through the Online Programs app, which runs step-by-step courses, programs and challenges. Paid programs need a plan that accepts payments (Core or higher). Kajabi's course and community tools are more central to its product and better suited to a course-led business.
Does Kajabi or Wix charge transaction fees?
Wix lists no platform commission on sales; Wix Payments charges 2.9% + $0.30 per US card payment. Kajabi Payments charges 2.7% to 2.9% + $0.30 by plan, and Kajabi adds 0.5% to 2% if you use another processor (PayPal excluded).
Does either have a free trial?
Kajabi has a 14-day trial with an optional card and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Wix has no Premium trial but offers a permanent free plan and a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first Premium upgrade.
Can I track client habits and check-ins on Kajabi or Wix?
Neither lists habit tracking or structured client check-ins as a feature. On Wix you could approximate them with forms or program steps; on Kajabi coaching is delivered as products and communities. Coachful includes daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins and streaks in each client's program.
Can I move my Wix site to another platform?
Not directly. Wix says sites cannot be transferred to other platforms and blog posts cannot be exported, though contacts, CMS collections and store products export to CSV. Plan on rebuilding the site, or have someone rebuild it for you.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a build service available on every Coachful plan. You describe what you need, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Is Coachful a replacement for both Kajabi and Wix?
For most coaches who deliver programs, yes: it covers the website, booking, payments, courses, community and email. It is not a general website builder or a course marketplace, and it has no PayPal, so a coach running a shop or a large course catalog may still prefer Wix or Kajabi.
Is Coachful suitable for health coaches handling medical information?
Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Coaching is not medical treatment; keep clinical information in a clinical system and refer clients to a licensed professional when needed. See our page for health coaches for what Coachful does cover.
