Top 7 MailerLite Alternatives for Coaches: Ranked and Reviewed

Top 7 MailerLite Alternatives for Coaches: Ranked and Reviewed

The best MailerLite alternatives for coaches are the tools that do more than send email: they also book sessions, take payment and deliver the coaching itself. MailerLite is a capable, low-cost email platform with a website builder and simple bookings, but it stops at the inbox. If you are searching for mailerlite alternatives for coaches, the deciding question is not "which email tool is cheaper?" but "how many other tools am I paying for because my email tool ends where the coaching begins?"

Our pick is Coachful, a coaching platform that puts email broadcasts and sequences in the same login as booking, payments, agreements, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community and a branded client app. We make Coachful, so weigh that, but we have ranked the other six on what their vendors document and what they genuinely do better. Some coaches should stay on MailerLite, and we say who.

What does MailerLite do well for coaches, and where does it stop?

MailerLite does email marketing very well for the price, and adds a website, landing pages, signup forms, simple bookings and digital-product sales on top. It stops at client delivery: there is no client portal, no client app, no coaching programs, no habit tracking and no check-ins.

Credit where it is due. As listed in October 2026, MailerLite's Free plan covers up to 250 active subscribers and 2,500 emails a month with no time limit. Comfort starts at $12 a month for 500 subscribers ($19 at 1,000), and Power starts at $25 a month for 500 subscribers ($39 at 1,000), with 10% off for annual billing. MailerLite takes 0% commission on digital products, paid newsletters and bookings; only Stripe's processing fee applies. Its Bookings feature handles 1:1 and group sessions, free or paid through Stripe, with Google Calendar and Outlook sync, and booking questions save to the subscriber profile. Data is stored in the EU. On Trustpilot it shows 4.1 from 3,391 reviews (seen October 28, 2026).

Two things changed recently that send coaches looking. First, on June 16, 2026 MailerLite renamed its plans (Growing Business became Comfort, Advanced became Power) with new prices and limits, so reviews quoting $10 or $20 plans are out of date. Second, as a coaching business grows, the gaps become the expensive part. MailerLite's own page says video courses "would typically be hosted elsewhere and linked." Clients receive email, forms, surveys and quizzes, not a place to log a habit or answer a weekly check-in. So the typical coach on MailerLite also pays for a course host, a client portal or accountability app, and often a contract tool.

What does a coach's client journey need from email and marketing software?

A coaching business runs through four stages: attract, enroll, deliver and retain. Email touches all four, but only the first two are what MailerLite was built for. Here is what each stage asks of your software.

Attract: lead magnets, a site and a nurture sequence

Coaches attract clients with a free resource (a reflection worksheet, a five-day email challenge, a webinar) and a nurture sequence that tells their story and invites a discovery call. You need a website or landing page, a signup form, a delivery email and a sequence with delays. Every tool in this list handles a version of this. The difference is whether the lead lands in a list or on a client record you will still use in month six.

Enroll: discovery calls, agreements and payment

The enrollment stage is where email tools start to thin out. A coach needs a booking page with intake questions, a coaching agreement signed before the first call, and payment as a one-time fee, a subscription or a payment plan. MailerLite covers booking and Stripe payments; it does not handle signed agreements. Most email-first tools here cover none of the three.

Deliver: programs, sessions and between-session work

Delivery is the coaching itself: recurring sessions, a multi-week program, homework, habits, reflections and check-ins between calls. This is where results happen and where clients decide whether to renew. Email can remind a client, but it cannot show them their goals, streaks and next task in one place. Course platforms cover lessons, not per-client accountability.

Retain: progress, community and the next offer

Retention needs visible progress, a community or cohort, and a clear path to the next program. It also needs you to notice who is going quiet before they cancel. That is a client-data problem, not a newsletter problem.

Which tools cover which stage of the coaching journey?

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost at a typical coach's list size, and setup effort (including whether someone will build it for you). Coachful leads on all four; the others are ranked by how much of the journey they cover without extra tools.

Third-party prices are as listed in October 2026, at each vendor's entry tier (usually 500 or 1,000 subscribers or contacts). They rise with list size.

How did we choose and rank these MailerLite alternatives?

We picked tools that coaches actually move to from MailerLite, then ranked them by how much of the attract, enroll, deliver and retain journey each covers in one subscription. We did not run hands-on tests; every claim comes from the vendor's own pricing and feature pages or from public review sites, dated October 2026.

  • Journey coverage. Does the tool reach past email into booking, payment and between-session delivery?
  • Total stack cost. The price of the tool plus whatever you would still have to buy to run a coaching practice.
  • Email depth. Sequences, triggers, branching and segmentation, because you are leaving a strong email tool.
  • Setup effort. How long it takes a solo coach to get a site, funnel and program live, and whether anyone helps.
  • Fairness. Each section ends with the case for choosing that tool over our own.

For the generic version of this question, see our guide to email marketing for coaches. If your shortlist includes Kit, read our Kit alternatives for coaches breakdown too.

1. Coachful: is it the best MailerLite alternative for coaches?

Yes, for coaches who deliver programs and not only newsletters. Coachful keeps the email you built in MailerLite (lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits) and adds everything after the signup: booking, payments, agreements, programs, courses, community and a branded client app.

What a coach gets in one login

The attract stage looks familiar to a MailerLite user. Coachful has a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus an Import website option. Funnels cover booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout flows, with pixels and UTM tracking, and there is a link-in-bio page that sells. Email lists, broadcasts and sequences live in the same account, so a lead who downloads your worksheet is already on the record you will coach from.

Coachful's Funnels page with three demo funnels: a free webinar, a lead magnet and a program launch.

Enrollment is where Coachful moves past MailerLite. Booking pages carry availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync and built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Intake questions sit on the booking form. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with an invoice per transaction. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee (since August 2026); you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.

Delivery is the part MailerLite does not attempt. You build multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Clients see all of it in your branded home and in the Coachful app under your branding. Courses (modules, lessons, drip, completion tracking), downloads, videos and bundles are delivered into the same place, so you no longer host video elsewhere and link to it.

Retention comes from the client record: goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. The community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events keep cohorts together, and cohort groups are created automatically when someone enrolls in a program.

Email features a MailerLite user will look for

Coachful's email covers lists, broadcasts and sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, drafts emails and content from your live practice data, builds programs, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each call. Asking questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. Here is a short walkthrough of the email area:

Integrations include Google Calendar, Apple Calendar/iCloud, Outlook, Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Stripe, Razorpay, Zapier, Meta Pixel and GA4. Coaches tracking an ICF credential also get hour tracking against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and an exportable client coaching log (see ICF hour tracking).

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you and describe what you want: a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline, an email sequence or newsletter, a lead quiz, an automation and more. Attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logos, photos, brand guides, copy), and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. For a coach leaving MailerLite, this is the practical answer to "I don't have a weekend to rebuild my funnel." One recent build: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a start-up-guide lead funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Another: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more about the white-glove build service. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Limits worth knowing before you switch

Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not a clinical record system. There is no PayPal and no permanent free plan; there is a free trial. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not your own App Store account. It is not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, has no third-party plugins, no Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams. The affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually. If you send very large newsletters to tens of thousands of non-clients, a dedicated email tool may still be the better sender.

Price. Flat monthly plans; lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add coach seats (Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Monthly plans cancel in one click.

Who it is for: solo coaches and small teams who run programs and want to replace four to six tools. Explore Coachful's coaching software or the page for life coaches.

2. Systeme.io: can a budget all-in-one replace MailerLite?

Systeme.io is the closest thing to MailerLite's price with a wider marketing scope: funnels, email, courses, a blog, a community and an affiliate program, starting free. For a coach whose business is mostly digital products and group courses, it removes the separate course host MailerLite would need.

Systeme.io homepage presenting its all-in-one funnel, email and course builder
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

Where it fits the coaching journey

Systeme.io is strongest in the attract and early enroll stages. You build a lead-magnet funnel, send the email sequence, sell a course and enroll students in one account. The Free plan, as listed in October 2026, includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course with 500 students, 1 blog, 1 affiliate program, a custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign. Systeme.io charges 0% transaction fees on every plan, including the free one; you pay only Stripe or PayPal processing. That PayPal option matters to coaches whose clients ask for it, and it is something Coachful does not offer.

For delivery, though, Systeme.io treats clients as students. It has no native 1:1 scheduling tied to client records, no habits and no check-ins, and its community and course features are basic. There is no branded mobile app. A coach selling 1:1 or small-group programs would still add a scheduler and an accountability tool, which brings back the stack you were trying to shrink.

Plan prices as listed

  • Free: $0, with the limits above. No credit card required.
  • Startup: $17/month for 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 5 courses.
  • Webinar: $47/month for 10,000 contacts, 50 funnels and 20 courses.
  • Unlimited: $97/month for unlimited contacts, funnels, courses and automation rules.

Systeme.io shows 4.9 on Trustpilot from 8,696 reviews (seen October 25, 2026), the highest score in this list. Pricing by contacts rather than by subscriber tier also means a coach with a large free list pays less than on MailerLite's Comfort or Power at the same size.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is mainly courses and low-ticket digital products, you need PayPal at checkout, or you want a permanent free plan while you build an audience.

3. Kajabi: worth the price jump from MailerLite?

Kajabi bundles website, funnels, email, courses and community into one knowledge-product platform. It is a large step up in price from MailerLite, and it fits coaches who sell courses and memberships at scale more than coaches running individual programs.

Kajabi homepage presenting its platform for courses, communities and websites
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

What changes when you move from email-first to course-first

Moving from MailerLite to Kajabi means your email sits next to hosted video courses, a community and a website, so the "host your videos elsewhere and link them" problem disappears. Coaching inside Kajabi is built as products and communities. Kajabi's documentation does not describe per-client plans, habit tracking or daily client check-ins, so a 1:1 client's accountability work still happens outside it or in messages.

As listed in October 2026:

  • Basic: $179/month ($143/month billed annually) for 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits.
  • Growth: $249/month ($199 annually) for 50 products, 25,000 contacts, 11 admin users and 500 AI credits.
  • Pro: $499/month ($399 annually) for unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 communities, 3 websites and 1,000 AI credits.

Payment fees are worth reading closely. Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Using another processor (other than PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro on top of that processor's own fees. MailerLite charges no commission, so this is a real cost increase for a coach with steady sales. The trial is 14 days; some features, such as bulk contact import and some automations, stay locked until you activate a paid plan. Kajabi shows 3.4 on Trustpilot from 2,347 reviews (seen October 25, 2026).

The Basic contact cap of 2,500 is lower than many MailerLite users expect, so check your list size before moving. Our Kajabi alternatives for life coaches article covers the trade-offs in more depth.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell a catalog of video courses and memberships to thousands of contacts, want a polished course storefront first, and are comfortable at Kajabi's price.

4. Kit (formerly ConvertKit): the creator-email upgrade?

Kit is an email and newsletter platform for creators, with landing pages and simple digital-product sales. It is the most like-for-like swap for MailerLite in this list, so it suits coaches whose main asset is a newsletter rather than a client roster.

How Kit compares on the parts MailerLite already does

Kit's free Newsletter plan covers up to 10,000 subscribers, far more than MailerLite's 250 on Free. The catch is that automations and sequences require a paid plan, and a coach's nurture sequence is usually the reason to have an email tool at all. As listed in October 2026, Creator starts at $39/month for up to 1,000 subscribers with 2 team members, and Pro starts at $79/month for up to 1,000 subscribers with unlimited team members. Both scale with subscriber count and come with a 14-day free trial, no card required.

At 1,000 subscribers that makes Kit Creator about twice MailerLite Comfort ($19) and the same as MailerLite Power ($39). Selling also costs more: Kit Commerce charges 3.5% + $0.30 per USD transaction, all-in including card processing, against MailerLite's 0% commission plus Stripe fees.

What Kit leaves to other tools

Kit fulfills digital products only. It has no scheduling, no client records and no session management, and no courses portal, community, habits or check-ins. A coach on Kit would still need a booking tool, a payment setup for 1:1 packages and somewhere to deliver the program. MailerLite at least includes Bookings, so for a coach this is a sideways move on journey coverage. Kit shows 3.9 on Trustpilot from 162 reviews (seen October 25, 2026).

For a closer look, see our Kit alternatives for coaches guide.

Pick it over Coachful if your newsletter is the product, you want a large list on a no-cost newsletter plan, and client delivery already lives somewhere you are happy with.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

5. Flodesk: is design-first email enough for a coaching brand?

Flodesk is the choice when your emails need to look like a magazine. It offers design-led email, forms, landing pages and simple checkout pages, and it is well liked: 4.8 on Trustpilot from 321 reviews (seen October 25, 2026).

Flodesk pricing page comparing its Lite, Pro and Everything email plans
Flodesk's pricing page in October 2026.

Pricing and the sending catch

Flodesk's Free plan has no subscriber limit but cannot send email, so in practice a coach starts on a paid plan. As listed in October 2026, Lite is $25/month ($19 annually) for up to 1,000 subscribers with a ceiling of 25,000 and 1 seat. Pro is $28/month ($25 annually) and Everything is $54/month ($49 annually), each starting at 1,000 subscribers. There is a 14-day trial with no card required.

Flodesk does not state its own transaction fee. Checkout payments run through Stripe at 3% + $0.30 for Stripe Express accounts in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (3% + £0.30 in the UK, 3% + €0.30 in Europe). Checkout works only in those regions plus the Euro Area, which matters if your clients pay from elsewhere.

Coverage gaps for a coaching practice

Flodesk covers the attract stage beautifully and a sliver of enroll through checkout pages. There is no scheduling, no client records, no courses portal, no community and no check-ins. Compared with MailerLite, you gain design polish and lose bookings, so you would add a scheduler on top. For coaches who sell a few digital products and book calls through a separate tool, that can still be a tidy setup. See our Calendly alternatives for coaches if you need to pair it with booking.

Pick it over Coachful if the look of your newsletter is central to your brand, you send mainly to prospects rather than clients, and you already run delivery in another tool.

6. ActiveCampaign: for coaches who need serious automation

ActiveCampaign is an automation and segmentation platform with a contact CRM. It suits a coaching business that runs complex, behavior-based email paths, such as a group program launch with several entry points and follow-ups based on what each lead clicked.

ActiveCampaign homepage presenting its email marketing automation platform
ActiveCampaign's homepage in October 2026.

The automation depth, and where plans draw the line

As listed in October 2026, Starter is $19/month ($15 annually) for 1,000 contacts and 10,000 sends, but caps each automation at 5 actions, allows only standard and inline forms, has no landing pages and no Calendly or Stripe integrations. Plus is $59/month ($49 annually) with unlimited automation actions, landing pages and the PayPal, Stripe, Calendly, Acuity Scheduling and Eventbrite integrations. Pro is $99/month ($79 annually) with 3 seats; Enterprise is $179/month ($145 annually). There is no free plan; the trial is 14 days with no card, and paid plans carry a 30-day refund guarantee.

For a coach, the realistic starting tier is Plus, because a nurture sequence longer than five steps and a booking integration both need it. At 1,000 contacts that is three times MailerLite Power. ActiveCampaign does not process payments and has no built-in booking calendar, invoicing or checkout; it connects to tools that do. Deal pipelines require a paid Enhanced CRM add-on on Plus.

Reviewer sentiment

ActiveCampaign's Trustpilot page shows 2.7 from 1,452 reviews (seen October 28, 2026; the star image reads 2.5). For delivery, it adds nothing: no programs, courses, community, habits or check-ins. If you are weighing ActiveCampaign against a larger CRM suite, our GoHighLevel alternatives for coaches piece covers that territory.

Pick it over Coachful if your marketing depends on highly segmented, multi-branch automations across a large list, and you already have booking, payments and delivery handled elsewhere.

7. Mailchimp: does the best-known name still fit coaches?

Mailchimp is the most recognized email platform, with newsletters, signup and popup forms, landing pages, automation flows and a basic website builder. For most coaches leaving MailerLite it is a lateral move at a similar or higher price, which is why it ranks last here.

Mailchimp homepage presenting its email marketing and automation tools
Mailchimp's homepage in October 2026.

Free and paid limits side by side with MailerLite

Mailchimp's Free plan, as listed in October 2026, allows 250 contacts and 500 sends a month (250 a day), 1 seat and 1 audience, with no automation flows and Mailchimp branding on emails and forms. MailerLite Free has the same 250-subscriber cap but 2,500 emails a month and 3 automations, so MailerLite is the more generous free option.

On paid plans, Essentials starts at $13/month for up to 500 contacts but allows only 4 steps per flow. A multi-step nurture sequence needs Standard, from $20/month at 500 contacts. Premium starts at $350/month at 10,000 contacts. Pricing is by contact tier, and a contact who sits in two audiences counts twice, which can quietly raise the bill for a coach who keeps separate lists for prospects and clients. Trials are 14 days on Essentials or Standard in select countries, with payment details required.

The coaching fit

Mailchimp has no native booking, payments for coaching packages, client records, courses or check-ins. Its Trustpilot score is 2.5 from 1,555 reviews (seen October 28, 2026), the lowest in this list. Its strength is familiarity: if your assistant or agency already works in it, that can matter more than any feature gap.

Pick it over Coachful if a team member or agency already runs your marketing in Mailchimp, you only need email to prospects, and you prefer a widely known tool your collaborators already use.

What does each stack cost: all-in-one vs assembled?

An all-in-one stack costs one subscription; an assembled stack around MailerLite costs MailerLite plus every tool that covers what it does not. The recipes below use October 2026 list prices at a 1,000-subscriber list and monthly billing. Prices for the add-on tools you would pair with an email platform vary too much to quote here, so we show them as "plus" lines.

Recipe A: all-in-one on Coachful

One subscription covers email, website, funnels, booking, agreements, payments, programs, courses, community and the client app. The plan depends on how many active clients you coach, not on the size of your email list.

Recipe B: MailerLite plus delivery tools

MailerLite Power at 1,000 subscribers is $39/month (Comfort is $19 if you can live within 50 automations and 10 forms). Bookings and Stripe sales are included. You then add a course host for video, a client portal or accountability app for habits and check-ins, and an e-signature tool for agreements, each at its own price.

Recipe C: Systeme.io plus a scheduler and accountability tool

Systeme.io Startup is $17/month and covers funnels, email and up to 5 courses. You add a scheduling tool for 1:1 calls, a contract tool and an accountability app.

Recipe D: Kajabi with outside scheduling

Kajabi Basic is $179/month for courses, community and email up to 2,500 contacts, plus a scheduler and an accountability tool, plus Kajabi's payment fees.

Email-tool prices scale with subscribers, not clients, so they stay flat across the client columns here and rise as your list grows. For example, MailerLite Power at 5,000 subscribers is $69/month and at 10,000 is $129/month on monthly billing. The add-on lines are where an assembled stack gets expensive; tally them honestly before comparing.

How would a coach set this up in Coachful, step by step?

Here is a worked example: a career coach with a 900-subscriber MailerLite list, a free "career reset" worksheet, a 12-week 1:1 program and a monthly group call. The numbers are illustrative.

  1. Export from MailerLite. From the Subscribers page, an admin exports subscribers as CSV. Only visible columns are exported, so show every custom field first. Subscriber notes cannot be exported, so copy any important ones by hand. Export groups and segments separately to keep your tags.
  2. Ask for the import and the build. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Then open Create > We'll build it for you and request the worksheet funnel and the nurture sequence, attaching your old emails, logo and two reference links.
  3. Rebuild the nurture sequence. Recreate the five-email sequence with the same delays, and add a branch: leads who book a call leave the sequence, others get a final invitation.
  4. Set up the discovery call. Create a booking page with intake questions about role and goals, a 15-minute buffer and minimum notice, synced to your Google or Outlook calendar.
  5. Send the agreement. Attach your coaching agreement so new clients sign it before the first session; it is stored on the client record. See coaching contracts.
  6. Price the program. Create the 12-week offer with a one-time price and a payment plan through your own Stripe account.
  7. Build the program. Add weekly goals (CV rewrite, networking targets, interview practice), daily tasks, a weekly check-in and a "job applications sent" habit. Or ask Michelle to draft it from your outline.
  8. Open the community. Enrollment creates a cohort group automatically; schedule the monthly group call as a video event.
  9. Watch status, not opens. Each week, check which clients are quiet or at risk and reach out before they drift.

The page for career coaches shows how this program shape fits that niche.

What should you watch for when migrating off MailerLite?

Plan the move so your list, your sending reputation and your active sequences survive it. These tips are specific to leaving MailerLite.

  • Export before you downgrade. Custom report exports need a paid MailerLite plan, so pull reports before switching to Free.
  • Show every column before exporting. MailerLite only exports visible columns. Hidden custom fields are left behind.
  • Copy subscriber notes manually. They cannot be exported.
  • Let running sequences finish. Pause new entries into MailerLite automations, but let people already inside them complete the sequence before you cancel.
  • Watch the automatic tier jump. Paid MailerLite accounts that exceed their subscriber tier are moved up and charged automatically. Clean inactive subscribers before your next billing date.
  • Redirect forms and booking links. Update every embedded form, link-in-bio and booking URL on the same day, or new leads land in the old account.
  • Keep bookings separate from the email cut-over. If clients book through MailerLite Bookings, move upcoming sessions first so nobody gets a reminder from the old system.
  • Do not import people who never opted in. Bring over consent status with your list.

What is the verdict on MailerLite alternatives for coaches?

If your coaching business runs on programs, sessions and between-session accountability, Coachful is the best MailerLite alternative because it keeps your email and adds the whole client journey in one login, with the white-glove team to build your funnel and sequences for you. Systeme.io is the budget pick for course-led coaches who want PayPal and a free plan. Kajabi suits coaches selling large course catalogs who can absorb its price. Kit, Flodesk, ActiveCampaign and Mailchimp are better email tools for specific needs (free list size, design, automation depth, familiarity), but none of them deliver coaching.

And if you only send a newsletter to a small list and run sessions from your calendar, MailerLite itself is still a strong, inexpensive choice. Stay put until the extra tools around it start costing more than the coaching platform would. To compare more options, see our comparisons or GoHighLevel alternatives for solo coaches.

Frequently asked questions

Is MailerLite good for coaches?

MailerLite is good for a coach's email marketing, landing pages and simple bookings, and its Free plan covers 250 active subscribers. It does not host video courses or offer a client portal, habit tracking or check-ins. Coaches who deliver programs usually add other tools around it.

What is the best MailerLite alternative for coaches?

For coaches who deliver programs, Coachful is our pick because email, booking, payments, agreements, programs and a branded client app sit in one login. For course-first coaches on a budget, Systeme.io is the strongest alternative. For newsletter-led creators, Kit is the closest like-for-like swap.

Is there a free alternative to MailerLite for coaches?

Systeme.io has a free plan with 2,000 contacts, and Kit's free plan covers 10,000 subscribers, though Kit's automations need a paid plan. Mailchimp's free plan is smaller than MailerLite's. Coachful has a free trial but no permanent free plan.

Can I import my MailerLite subscribers into Coachful?

Yes. Export subscribers from MailerLite as CSV, with every needed column visible, and export groups separately. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during Coachful onboarding.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a build service included on every plan: you describe a website, funnel, program, email sequence or other asset, attach references, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not invent credentials, testimonials or prices, and it does not include video recording, logo design or ad management. Details are in our white-glove service guide.

Does MailerLite take a cut of my coaching sales?

No. MailerLite lists 0% commission on digital products, paid newsletters, subscriptions and bookings; only Stripe's processing fee applies. Coachful also charges a 0% platform fee on top of Stripe or Razorpay processing.

Why did MailerLite's prices change in 2026?

On June 16, 2026 MailerLite renamed Growing Business to Comfort and Advanced to Power, with new prices and limits. As listed in October 2026, Comfort starts at $12 and Power at $25 a month for 500 subscribers. Reviews quoting older plan names or prices are out of date.

Can MailerLite host my coaching course videos?

Not natively. MailerLite's own page says video courses would typically be hosted elsewhere and linked. Coachful, Systeme.io and Kajabi all host courses directly.

Is Coachful suitable for health coaches who handle medical information?

Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical records and insurance billing belong in a clinical system. Coaching is not medical treatment; refer clients to a licensed professional when a concern is clinical. See the page for health coaches for what Coachful does support.

Should I keep MailerLite and add a coaching platform?

You can, but you will maintain two lists and two sets of forms. If you run programs, moving email into the coaching platform usually means one record per client and fewer tools to pay for. If your newsletter goes mostly to non-clients at large volume, keeping MailerLite for broadcasts can make sense.
