Mighty Networks vs Kajabi: Which Fits Coaches in 2026?

Mighty Networks vs Kajabi comes down to what sits at the centre of your business. Mighty Networks is a community platform with courses and events attached; Kajabi is a course, funnel and email platform with a community attached. Pick Mighty Networks if your members mostly come for each other, and Kajabi if you mostly sell digital products through marketing pages. If your income comes from coaching individual clients through a program, neither was built for that job, and a coaching platform will usually fit better than both.
This guide compares the two on plans, platform fees, community, courses, marketing, payments and the client experience, using the prices each vendor listed in October 2026. We make Coachful, a coaching platform, so we also show where it beats both tools and where it does not. Every vendor fact below comes from the vendors' own pricing pages and help docs, checked on 25 October 2026, and from public reviews; we do not claim hands-on testing.

What is the short answer by use case?
Mighty Networks suits community-first memberships, and Kajabi suits course creators who sell through funnels and email. For one-to-one and small-group coaching with booking, agreements and between-session follow-up, both leave gaps you fill with other tools.
- You run a paid membership where members talk to each other daily: Mighty Networks. Its feed, events, livestreams and Mighty-branded member apps are the core of the product.
- You sell courses and digital products through landing pages and email: Kajabi. Unlimited funnels, landing pages and marketing emails come on every plan, with a community included.
- You coach clients one to one or in cohorts and need booking, agreements, payments and check-ins in one place: a coaching platform such as Coachful, which covers community and courses too.
- You want your own app in the App Store: both vendors reserve this for their top tier. Mighty Networks offers it on custom-priced Mighty Pro; Kajabi lists the branded mobile app on Pro in its October 2026 comparison table.
- You want the lowest entry price: Mighty Networks Launch at $79 a month billed annually is cheaper than Kajabi Basic at $143 a month billed annually, but Mighty adds a 2% fee on sales.
The rest of this article explains each of those calls, with the numbers behind them.
How do Mighty Networks and Kajabi compare side by side?
Mighty Networks leads on community depth and Kajabi leads on marketing tools; neither includes 1:1 coaching operations such as e-signed agreements or per-client habit plans. We rank by one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort, which is why Coachful sits on the first row.
| Platform | Built around | 1:1 booking | Agreements | Habits and check-ins | Community | Courses | Funnels and email | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaching programs and the full client journey | Yes, with calendar sync and video links | Yes, e-signature before the first call | Yes, daily and weekly | Feed, group chat, DMs, events, cohort groups | Yes, with drip and completion tracking | Yes, funnels, broadcasts and sequences | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients |
| Mighty Networks | Community, courses and events | No native 1:1 scheduling | No | No per-client habits or check-ins | Core strength, with livestreams | Yes | Basic automations; Kit and Zapier from Scale | $79/mo billed annually (Launch) |
| Kajabi | Courses, funnels, email and website | Not a focus of its plan comparison | Not listed | No habit tracking or daily check-ins | 1 community on Basic and Growth, 3 on Pro | Core strength (5, 50 or unlimited products) | Core strength, unlimited on every plan | $143/mo billed annually (Basic) |
Both vendors publish 14-day trials. Mighty Networks says no credit card is required and that trials include Growth plan features. Kajabi's help center says a card is optional; if you enter one, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges on the day the trial ends, and some features (bulk contact import, test emails, some automations) stay locked until a paid plan starts.
What do Mighty Networks and Kajabi cost in 2026?
Mighty Networks runs from $79 to $354 a month on annual billing, plus a 0.5% to 2% fee on sales. Kajabi runs from $143 to $399 a month on annual billing, with no extra Kajabi fee when you use Kajabi Payments or PayPal. Here are the plans as listed in October 2026.
| Platform and plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Key limits | Platform fee on sales |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful (all plans) | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Flat monthly plans; lower plans cap clients, Pro is unlimited | Team plans add coach seats | 0%; only Stripe or Razorpay processing |
| Mighty Networks Launch | $95 | $79 ($950 a year) | 3 hosts, 10 moderators, 200 GB, livestream 20 h/mo for 100 attendees | 2% |
| Mighty Networks Scale | $215 | $179 | 5 hosts, 15 moderators, 500 GB, livestream 30 h/mo for 200 attendees | 1% |
| Mighty Networks Growth | Not published | $354 | 10 hosts, 100 moderators, 1 TB, livestream 40 h/mo for 1,000 attendees | 0.5% |
| Mighty Pro | Custom | Custom | Unlimited hosts and moderators, your own branded apps | 0.5% |
| Kajabi Basic | $179 | $143 | 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 2 admin users, 0 AI credits | None with Kajabi Payments or PayPal; 2% with other providers |
| Kajabi Growth | $249 | $199 | 50 products, 25,000 contacts, 1 community, 11 admin users, 500 AI credits | None with Kajabi Payments or PayPal; 1% with other providers |
| Kajabi Pro | $499 | $399 | Unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 communities, 26 admin users, 1,000 AI credits | None with Kajabi Payments or PayPal; 0.5% with other providers |
A note on reading Mighty's page: its plan cards show $79, $179 and $354 "per month" without saying how they are billed. Mighty's help docs confirm those are annual-billing prices, and give $95 (Launch) and $215 (Scale) for monthly billing. Mighty does not publish a monthly-billed price for Growth.

Kajabi's processing rates through Kajabi Payments, for US entities, are 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Extra contacts cost $125 a month per 25,000, and Kajabi lists an AI credit top-up of $15 for 500 credits as coming. Every Kajabi plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee. Mighty Networks sells add-ons such as Engagement Boost (extra storage, livestream hours and capacity) and extra livestream viewers up to 10,000, but does not show their prices.
What does a year actually cost?
Take an illustrative coach who sells $4,000 a month in memberships and programs. These are example numbers, not averages.
- Mighty Networks Launch, annual: $950 for the plan plus a 2% platform fee, about $80 a month or $960 a year, before Stripe processing. Roughly $1,910 a year to Mighty.
- Mighty Networks Scale, annual: $179 x 12 = $2,148 plus 1%, about $480 a year. Roughly $2,628 a year.
- Kajabi Basic, annual, on Kajabi Payments: $143 x 12 = $1,716, with no extra Kajabi fee; card processing runs through Kajabi Payments instead of Stripe.
- Kajabi Basic with another processor: the same $1,716 plus 2% on sales, about $960 a year, plus that processor's own fees.
Neither total includes the tools a coach adds for what the platform lacks: a scheduler for 1:1 sessions, an e-signature tool for agreements, and often a separate check-in or habit app. Those subscriptions are where the real gap between a course or community tool and a coaching platform shows up. For the full breakdowns see our Mighty Networks pricing guide and Kajabi pricing guide.
On Coachful there is no platform fee on sales (0% since August 2026), so you only pay Stripe or Razorpay processing on top of a flat plan (Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients).
How do their communities compare?
Mighty Networks has the deeper community product. Kajabi includes a community on every plan, but caps it at one on Basic and Growth and treats it as one product among many.

Community is what Mighty Networks was built for. Every plan includes community, courses and events, an AI Cohost and People Magic feature for connecting members, basic automations, a custom domain and the free Mighty iOS and Android apps. Livestreaming is metered by plan: 20 hours a month for up to 100 attendees on Launch, 30 hours for 200 on Scale and 40 hours for 1,000 on Growth. The moderator allowances (10, 15 and 100) tell you who the product is for: hosts running large, active groups.
Kajabi's community sits next to courses, funnels and email rather than at the centre. Basic and Growth each include one community, and Pro includes three. If your plan is to run several separate paid groups, that cap matters more on Kajabi than on Mighty Networks.
For a coach, the useful question is whether the community is the product or a support for the product. If clients join a program and the group exists to keep them moving between calls, you want the group to be created when they enroll and to sit beside their tasks and sessions. That is the model behind Coachful's cohort groups, which we compare in more depth in Coachful vs Mighty Networks for coaching communities and how to run coaching cohorts without Mighty Networks.
Which is better for courses?
Kajabi is the stronger course seller, because its courses connect directly to funnels, landing pages and email. Mighty Networks hosts courses well inside the community, where lessons and discussion share one space.

Kajabi counts courses as products: 5 on Basic, 50 on Growth and unlimited on Pro. A coach with a signature course, a few mini-courses and a membership can hit the Basic cap of 5 sooner than expected, which pushes them to Growth at $199 a month billed annually. Mighty Networks' published plan limits are about hosts, moderators, storage and livestream hours rather than product counts.
Where each one ends: neither tool attaches a course to a specific client's goals, habits or weekly check-ins. A course on either platform is something a member consumes. That is fine for a self-paced product, and less fine when the course is one part of a coaching program where you want to see who did the work this week.
Which has better marketing tools: funnels, websites and email?
Kajabi, clearly. Unlimited funnels, landing pages and marketing emails are included on every plan, along with a website. Mighty Networks offers basic automations and adds integrations with Kit, Zapier and affiliate tools from the Scale plan.
Kajabi's weak spot here is the contact cap. Basic allows 2,500 contacts, Growth 25,000 and Pro 100,000, with extra contacts at $125 a month per 25,000. A coach building an email list through a lead magnet can outgrow Basic's 2,500 well before their revenue justifies Growth. Basic also includes 0 AI credits.
Mighty Networks expects you to bring your own marketing stack. Scale adds APIs and MCP access, more automations and member export with tags; Growth adds advanced and AI automations and optional white-label email. If you already run email in another tool and send people to a Mighty network, that split works. If you want the sales page, the checkout and the follow-up emails in one place, Kajabi does more out of the box. We compare Kajabi's funnel and email features against a coaching platform in Coachful vs Kajabi for coaching funnels and email.
How do payments and fees differ?
Mighty Networks takes a platform fee on every sale (2%, 1% or 0.5% by plan) on top of Stripe processing. Kajabi takes no extra fee when you use Kajabi Payments or PayPal, but adds 0.5% to 2% when you use another processor.
Mighty Networks processes through Stripe and supports memberships in hundreds of local currencies. Kajabi supports Kajabi Payments, PayPal and other providers, with the other providers surcharged. In practice:
- On Mighty Networks, moving from Launch to Scale halves the platform fee from 2% to 1%. At about $12,000 a year in sales (an example figure), the 1% saved is $120, well short of the plan price difference, so the fee rarely justifies an upgrade by itself.
- On Kajabi, staying on Kajabi Payments avoids the surcharge but ties your card processing to Kajabi. If you leave, you set up payments again elsewhere.
Neither vendor documents invoices per client, session credits or payment plans attached to a specific coaching engagement in the plan details we reviewed. If you bill clients for 1:1 packages, check that before you commit.
Can either handle 1:1 booking, agreements and client follow-up?
Not natively in the way a coaching practice needs. Mighty Networks has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. Kajabi's plans are built around products, contacts and communities, with no habit tracking or daily client check-ins.
This is the point where coaches tend to outgrow both tools. A typical coaching week involves a discovery call booked from a page, an agreement signed before the first session, a payment or a plan, a call with a video link and reminders, and then daily or weekly check-ins so you know who is on track before the next call. On Mighty Networks or Kajabi, most of that lives in other apps: a scheduler, an e-signature tool, a form tool and a spreadsheet of who replied.

For comparison, here is what that week looks like inside a coaching platform. Coachful's booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, sync two ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendars, and create Zoom, Meet or Teams links (or use built-in video). Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp 1 hour before once messaging is enabled. Intake questions can be asked at booking.

Agreements go out with e-signature before the first call and are stored on the client record, next to goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions. Each client carries a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you can see who needs a message before they disappear. See coaching contracts and scheduling software for the details.

What is the client experience like on each?
On Mighty Networks, members use Mighty's own apps or the web; your own branded app requires custom-priced Mighty Pro. On Kajabi, the branded mobile app is listed on the Pro plan in Kajabi's October 2026 comparison table.
Mighty Networks gives every plan free Mighty iOS and Android apps, so members get a mobile experience from day one, but it carries Mighty's branding. Your own apps in the App Store come only with Mighty Pro, which is quote-based. Kajabi's pricing page lists a branded mobile app as included (valued at $199 a month) without showing a tier on the plan cards, while its comparison table places it on Pro at $399 a month billed annually. Either way, a branded app adds real cost on both platforms.
What the client sees after logging in also differs. On Mighty Networks they see a feed, courses and events. On Kajabi they see their products and the community. Neither shows a client their own goals, today's tasks, their habit streaks or their next 1:1 session in one place.
On Coachful the client app runs under the Coachful listing with your branding, not your own App Store account. It is the same place clients book, sign, pay, do their daily tasks and check-ins, take courses and join the community.

How do support, ratings and data export compare?
Public reviewers rate both close together on Trustpilot. Mighty Networks held 3.3 from 219 reviews and Kajabi 3.4 from 2,347 reviews when we checked on 25 October 2026.
On exports, Mighty Networks lets you export the member list with member tags on Launch and Scale, according to its plan docs; posts and community content are not bulk-exportable (based on an older profile we hold). Kajabi offers CSV exports for contacts, subscriptions, sales and members, sent by email; course content is downloaded manually asset by asset, and data is removed 90 days after cancellation (again from an older profile). If you think you might switch later, keep your own copies of course videos from the start. Our guide on migrating from Mighty Networks walks through the process.
Mighty Networks' Growth plan adds priority support and migration services; Kajabi's Pro plan lists dedicated support.
Which should you pick for which kind of coach?
Choose by what your clients pay you for. Pay for access to a group: Mighty Networks. Pay for a course sold through a funnel: Kajabi. Pay for your attention and a structured program: a coaching platform.
| Coach type | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: 1:1 and cohort coaches with programs | Coachful | Booking, agreements, payments, habits, check-ins, courses and community under one login, with no platform fee on sales |
| Membership host with a large, chatty audience | Mighty Networks | Deep community, livestreams and generous moderator seats |
| Course creator selling through ads and email | Kajabi | Unlimited funnels, landing pages and emails on every plan |
| Creator wanting an own-brand App Store app | Mighty Pro or Kajabi Pro | Both reserve branded apps for the top tier |
| New coach on a tight budget | Depends on model; see below | Mighty Launch is the cheapest of the two but takes 2%; Kajabi Basic caps contacts at 2,500 |
If you are a life, business or health coach whose clients pay for a 12-week program with calls, the comparison between Mighty Networks and Kajabi is less important than the tools you would bolt onto either one. Our Kajabi alternatives for coaches and Mighty Networks alternatives roundups cover the wider field.
Is there a third option that beats both?
For coaches who deliver programs rather than sell content, yes: Coachful. It covers booking, payments, agreements, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients.

We make Coachful, so weigh this section with that in mind. Coachful is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six tools. It is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a 4.5 on Trustpilot from 21 reviews.
Where Coachful beats both
- Between-session delivery. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Neither Mighty Networks nor Kajabi offers per-client habits or check-ins.
- 1:1 operations. Booking pages, two-way calendar sync, video links, reminders, paid sessions and session credits, and round-robin or least-busy assignment for multi-coach session types.
- Agreements. E-signature before the first call, stored on the client record.
- Payments. Through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, Stripe Tax, and an invoice per transaction plus manual invoices. No platform fee on sales.
- Courses and community in the same place. Courses with modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking; a community feed, group chat, DMs, video events, group calls and webinars; cohort groups created automatically when someone enrolls in a program.
- Marketing. A section-based website builder with blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates; booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking; email broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits.
- AI that knows your practice. Michelle, the built-in assistant, works from live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before calls. You can also set up an AI Coach that selected clients chat with between sessions.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered in Coachful:

Where Coachful does not beat them
- Your own App Store app. Coachful's client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding. If an app under your own developer account matters, Mighty Pro or Kajabi Pro are the routes.
- Very large public communities. If you run a membership with thousands of members, metered livestreams for up to 1,000 attendees and a hundred moderators, Mighty Networks is built for that scale.
- PayPal. Coachful has no PayPal. Kajabi supports PayPal without a surcharge.
- Course marketplaces and third-party plugins. Coachful is not a course marketplace and has no third-party plugins.
- Clinical work. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Coaching is not treatment; health coaches should refer clients to a medical professional when symptoms or conditions fall outside coaching scope.
- Affiliate payouts. Coachful tracks affiliate links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually rather than sent for you.
- No permanent free plan. There is a free trial, and monthly plans cancel in one click.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you, describe what you need (a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, link in bio, lead quiz, event or automation), attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent example: a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had their homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. Another: a leadership coach with a website renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more about the white-glove build service.

Moving over is lighter than it sounds: clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and you can export everything later as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses). See the Mighty Networks alternative and Kajabi alternative pages, or the side-by-side Coachful vs Kajabi comparison.

Frequently asked questions
Is Mighty Networks cheaper than Kajabi?
On plan price, yes. Mighty Networks Launch is $79 a month billed annually ($95 monthly) against Kajabi Basic at $143 billed annually ($179 monthly), as listed in October 2026. Mighty adds a 2% platform fee on Launch sales, so at higher revenue the gap narrows.
Does Kajabi have a better community than Mighty Networks?
No. Kajabi includes a community on every plan, but Mighty Networks is built around community, with livestreams, events, more moderator seats and member apps on every plan. Kajabi caps communities at one on Basic and Growth.
Can I do 1:1 coaching on Mighty Networks or Kajabi?
You can sell coaching on both, but you will need other tools to run it. Mighty Networks has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and neither platform offers per-client habits or daily check-ins. Coaches usually add a scheduler, an e-signature tool and a check-in method.
Which one charges transaction fees?
Mighty Networks charges 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing. Kajabi charges no extra fee with Kajabi Payments or PayPal, and adds 2%, 1% or 0.5% by plan when you use another processor.
Do I get my own branded app on either platform?
Only on the top tier. Mighty Networks offers branded iOS and Android apps on custom-priced Mighty Pro, and Kajabi's comparison table places its branded mobile app on Pro. Lower Mighty plans include the Mighty-branded apps instead.
Do Mighty Networks and Kajabi have free trials?
Both offer 14 days. Mighty Networks says no credit card is required and the trial includes Growth features. Kajabi makes the card optional, but if you add one it places an authorization hold and charges when the trial ends.
Can I move from Mighty Networks or Kajabi to Coachful?
Yes. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove build service can rebuild your website or sales pages. Export your member list and keep your own copies of course videos before you cancel your old platform.
What is Coachful's white-glove build service?
It is a free service on every plan: you describe what you want built, attach references and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It covers websites, funnels, programs, course outlines, email sequences and more. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.
Is Coachful suitable for health coaches handling medical information?
Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical records and insurance billing belong in a clinical system. Coaching is not medical treatment; refer clients to a doctor when something falls outside coaching scope. See Coachful for health coaches for what it does cover.
