Top 12 Practice Better Alternatives for Weight Loss Coaches

Top 12 Practice Better Alternatives for Weight Loss Coaches

The best practice better alternatives for weight loss coaches are the tools that run the weekly rhythm of a weight loss program: weigh-ins and measurements, habit check-ins, food targets, group support and payments, without charting and clinical features you never use. Practice Better is a strong practice-management system for dietitians and wellness practitioners who chart, bill and sometimes prescribe. If you coach behavior change rather than treat a condition, much of what you pay for sits idle, and the parts you need most (between-session accountability, community, a sales page) are thin or locked to higher tiers.

Our pick is Coachful, because it puts habits, check-ins, nutrition targets, meal plans, progress photos, programs, community, booking, payments and a website behind one login, and the team will build your setup for free. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the "Pick it over Coachful if..." line in every section. Some coaches should not leave Practice Better at all, and this guide says who.

Start with the five questions below. Your answers point to one or two tools on the list, so you can skip the rest.

Which five questions decide your Practice Better alternative?

Five questions about your practice settle most of this decision. Answer them honestly, then use the table in the next section to find your shortlist.

  1. Do you diagnose, prescribe, chart clinically or bill insurance? If you are a registered dietitian, nurse or prescriber running medical weight management, you need an EHR with a signed BAA. Practice Better offers ePrescribe and charting add-ons for that reason. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, has no EHR and no insurance billing, and most coaching tools on this list are in the same position. See our explainer on what an EHR does and who needs one.
  2. Is your method built on food logging and macros, or on habits and behavior? Macro coaches need calorie and macro targets, meal plans and food lookup. Habit-first coaches need daily check-ins, streaks and reflection prompts more than a food database.
  3. Do you sell group programs or challenges? A 12-week group reset or a 30-day step challenge needs cohorts, a community feed and group calls. A 1:1 practice can ignore this.
  4. How many active clients will you carry in 12 months: about 5, 15 or 40+? Many fitness apps price per client, so a cheap start can become the most expensive option at 40.
  5. Do you already have a website and email list that convert? If not, a platform with a site, funnels and email sequences saves you a separate builder and email tool.

Which tool fits your answers?

Match your strongest answer to a row. If two rows apply, the first tool named in both is usually the better fit.

What do weight loss coaches need that Practice Better does not center on?

Weight loss coaches need daily accountability between sessions more than they need clinical notes. The work happens on a Tuesday afternoon when a client skips a walk, not in the 45-minute call. That shapes the software list:

  • A weekly check-in that captures the numbers. Weight, waist and hip measurements, progress photos, energy, hunger and sleep scores, plus a free-text "what got in the way" field.
  • Daily habits with streaks. Water, steps, protein at breakfast, a vegetable at dinner, lights out by 10:30. Small, countable behaviors that clients tick off on their phone.
  • Nutrition targets without turning into a dietitian. Calorie or macro ranges, a few meal plans and recipes, and food lookup for clients who want it. Coaches who are not licensed should keep this general rather than prescriptive.
  • A program spine. A 12-week or 16-week arc with weekly lessons on plateaus, eating out, weekends and maintenance, released on a schedule.
  • Group energy. Many weight loss offers are group programs: a cohort that starts together, a community feed for wins, a weekly live Q&A.
  • A way to sell. A clean site, a free guide or quiz that builds an email list, and checkout with payment plans for a higher-priced program.

Practice Better covers sessions, forms, billing, a client portal and programs, and it is built around charting. Evergreen self-paced programs, portal branding and a personalized URL start on its Plus plan at $99 a month as listed in October 2026, and our older profile notes no website builder or funnel pages. For more context, see our Practice Better review and the broader Practice Better alternatives guide.

Scope line. Weight loss coaching is not medical treatment. Refer clients to a physician or registered dietitian before or during coaching if they show signs of disordered eating, are pregnant, take medication for diabetes or blood pressure that may need adjusting as weight changes, ask about starting or dosing GLP-1 medication, or lose weight rapidly without explanation. Keep any clinical records your client shares out of a non-HIPAA tool. Our guide to weight loss coaching covers where the line sits.

How did we choose and rank these tools?

We started from tools that weight loss coaches actually consider when they leave Practice Better: coaching platforms, fitness and nutrition apps, and practice-admin tools. We kept the ones that document at least two of the weekly jobs listed above, then ranked them on the four criteria above the table. Prices come from each vendor's pricing page as listed in October 2026; where older profile data from September 2026 fills a gap, we say so. We did not test these tools hands-on. We report what vendors document and what public reviewers say on Trustpilot. Practice Better itself is not ranked, since the question is what to use instead.

For a wider view of the category, our list of the best software for weight loss coaches covers tools that are not Practice Better substitutes.

1. Coachful: the full weight loss program in one place

Coachful is a coaching platform that runs the whole client journey for a weight loss coach: the site and lead magnet that attract a client, the booking page and agreement that sign them, the program, habits and check-ins that carry them week to week, and the community that keeps a cohort going. You log in once; your client opens one app with your branding.

Coachful's habit tracker and client roster with demo data, on a desk beside walking shoes and a kitchen scale.

Between sessions, where weight loss is won. Programs run for as many weeks as you set, with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. A client sees "Drink 2 litres of water", "8,000 steps" and "Protein at breakfast" as daily habits, and the morning check-in asks about sleep and hunger while the evening one asks what went well. You see who is thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so the client who stopped logging on Thursday gets a message on Friday rather than at the next call.

Nutrition and body data. The Fitness & Nutrition pack adds what Practice Better's coaching side does not center on: nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins, challenges, and a workout builder with an illustrated exercise library for coaches who prescribe movement. Clients log workouts with set history and personal records. You can attach your own demo videos; Coachful does not ship stock exercise videos. See the Fitness & Nutrition pack for the full list.

Here is how check-ins look on the coach side. This short walkthrough shows building and scheduling a check-in flow.

Groups and challenges. When a client enrolls in a group program, Coachful creates the cohort group automatically. You get a community feed, group chat, direct messages, video events, group calls and webinars. A 30-day "walk after dinner" challenge or a weekly Thursday Q&A lives in the same app as the habit tracker, which matters because weight loss clients drift when support is spread across a Facebook group, a PDF and a tracking app.

Selling and admin. Booking pages handle availability, buffers, minimum notice and time zones, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync and built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Payments go through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans for a higher-priced 16-week program, coupons and order bumps, with a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026 (only processing fees apply). Coaching agreements are e-signed before the first call. A section-based website builder, booking and lead-magnet funnels, and email sequences with triggers and branching replace a separate site and email tool. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, can draft a 12-week program outline or a re-engagement email from your live practice data; questions are included in your membership, confirmed builds use AI credits.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. Most weight loss coaches leaving Practice Better do not want to spend three weekends rebuilding. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", describe what you want (a website, a program, a check-in flow, a free "7-day reset" funnel, an email sequence), attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, brand colors and existing program documents, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. They do not invent credentials, testimonials or prices; gaps are left for you to fill. One recent build: a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. Clients, programs and content are also imported for you during onboarding. Read more about the free white-glove service.

What Coachful does not do. It is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly, so step counts are entered by the client rather than pulled from a watch. There is no PayPal and no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.

Price. Flat monthly plans; lower plans cap the number of clients and Pro is unlimited. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. There is a free trial, and monthly plans cancel in one click. Coachful holds a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews. For a direct comparison, read Practice Better vs Coachful.

Who it is for: weight loss and health coaches who deliver programs, run groups or challenges, and want one tool instead of four to six. Who should skip it: practitioners who need a clinical EHR, and coaches whose method depends on automatic wearable data.

2. Coachway: macro-focused coaching with a meal planner

Coachway is built for online fitness and nutrition coaches, and that shows in the parts weight loss coaches use daily. Its meal planner lists more than 1,100 recipes with macros, allergy filters and PDF export, and its workout builder lists more than 1,800 exercises with supersets, AMRAP and templates. Check-in forms and progress tracking cover weight, measurements and photos, so the Monday weigh-in has a home.

Coachway homepage presenting its app for online fitness and nutrition coaches
Coachway's homepage in October 2026.

For a weight loss coach, the useful extras are chat with voice and video messages (good for a quick "here is why the scale went up after the weekend" reply), automations and a lead pipeline for tracking enquiries. The client app is available in six languages and runs in the Coachway app with your logo and colors, and a coach mobile app is included. The company is Copenhagen-based Coachway ApS.

Pricing is a single plan: $79 a month as listed in October 2026 covers up to 5 active clients, and each additional client adds $10 (EUR 9) a month. The pricing page we captured shows euro prices. A 14-day free trial needs a card to start. Coachway documents a 2.4% payment fee when you use its built-in payment system; its structured data says that fee does not apply via your own Stripe checkout. Stripe's processing fees are separate. Trustpilot shows 4.6 from 22 reviews.

The limit is cost at scale and scope. At 40 active clients the listed math reaches $429 a month, and Coachway does not list courses, a community feed, a website builder or email sequences, so group programs and marketing need other tools.

Pick it over Coachful if your coaching is mostly 1:1 macro coaching, you want a large built-in recipe library with allergy filters, and you will stay under about ten clients.

3. Everfit: the cheapest way to start tracking

Everfit is a fitness coaching app with workouts, habits, nutrition and messaging, priced by client count. Its free Starter plan covers up to 5 clients, which lets a new weight loss coach run habits and check-ins for a first small group without paying.

Everfit homepage presenting its fitness coaching app for trainers and coaches
Everfit's homepage in October 2026.

Pro starts at $19 a month for 5 clients and scales: $29 for 10, $49 for 20, $95 for 50 and $140 for 100, as listed in October 2026 (annual prices are lower). Studio starts at $105 a month for 50 clients. A 30-day trial needs no card.

The catch for weight loss coaches is the add-on model. Automation (Autoflow), payments and meal plans are paid add-ons, so the "Pro from $19" price does not include three things most weight loss offers need. There is no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing. Trustpilot shows 2.7 from 16 reviews, which is worth reading before you commit.

Where it fits well: a coach who sells through Instagram DMs and a payment link, wants clients ticking off daily habits and logging food, and plans to grow gradually. Check the add-on prices on the vendor's site before comparing totals, since our data does not list them.

Pick it over Coachful if you want to pay nothing for your first five clients and already handle payments, website and email elsewhere.

4. HubFit: one flat price up to 50 clients

What sets HubFit apart is its pricing curve. The Standard plan is $39 a month for up to 50 clients as listed in October 2026, Premium is $69 for up to 100, and Ultimate starts at $119 for 100. For a weight loss coach planning to grow from 5 to 40 clients, the Standard price barely moves.

HubFit homepage presenting its online training and nutrition coaching app
HubFit's homepage in October 2026.

HubFit covers programs, nutrition, habits and check-ins, and it is free for clients. Trustpilot shows 5 from 390 reviews, the strongest public rating among the fitness apps here. A 14-day trial is available on every plan.

The gaps sit on the business side. Our older profile notes no scheduling or booking, no video calls, no contracts and no website. Branding and payments start at Premium ($69), team members and Zapier at Ultimate, and a branded app is a $189 a month add-on. So the real comparison for a coach who takes payment in-app is $69, not $39, plus a separate booking tool and site.

HubFit suits the coach who runs check-in-based online coaching, with clients paying by bank transfer or a separate checkout, and sessions booked through a free calendar link.

Pick it over Coachful if you have dozens of clients on a low monthly price, need only tracking and nutrition, and are happy running booking and marketing elsewhere.

5. PT Distinction: check-ins with per-client overage

PT Distinction pricing page with Basic, Pro and Master plans
PT Distinction's pricing page in October 2026.

PT Distinction is online personal-training software covering programs, nutrition, check-ins, automations and a client app. Weight loss coaches who run a structured weekly check-in and want automations to send the right message after a missed one will find the core workflow here.

Pricing mixes a base plan with per-client overage, as listed in October 2026: Basic is $19.90 a month with 3 clients included and $6.00 per extra client; Pro is $59.90 with 25 clients and $2.40 per extra; Master is $89.90 with 50 clients and $1.60 per extra. The branded client app starts at Pro. A one-month free trial applies, and you can cancel in that month and pay nothing.

Trustpilot shows 4.8 from 297 reviews. The pricing page does not show a course builder, community or website and funnel builder, so group cohorts and lead generation need other tools. Watch the Basic plan: at 15 clients the overage makes Pro the cheaper choice.

Pick it over Coachful if automated check-in follow-ups are your main need and you prefer a training-focused app with a long public review history.

6. CoachAccountable: metrics and action plans for habit-first coaches

CoachAccountable is a coaching back office rather than a fitness app, and that suits weight loss coaches who work on behavior more than on macros. Its metrics can track a weekly weight or waist number, its action plans hold the small commitments a client makes on a call, and it adds worksheets, courses, invoicing and agreements.

CoachAccountable homepage
CoachAccountable's homepage in October 2026.

The pricing is per active client, as listed in October 2026: Starter $20 a month for 2 clients, Level 1 $40 for 5, Level 2 $70 for 10, Level 3 $120 for 20, Level 4 $250 for 50 and Level 5 $400 for 100. A 30-day trial requires no card. Trustpilot shows 4.8 from 47 reviews.

For group weight loss programs, per-client pricing is the main issue: a 40-person cohort sits in the $250 tier. Our older profile notes no native mobile app, no landing pages, website or marketing automation, and that CoachAccountable states it is not HIPAA compliant. There is no meal planning or food lookup.

See also our CoachAccountable alternatives roundup.

Pick it over Coachful if you coach a handful of 1:1 clients on behavior change and want detailed action plans and metrics more than an app, community or website.

7. Paperbell: simple packages, no tracking layer

Paperbell handles the admin a solo coach needs to sell sessions: booking, packages, payments, contracts, a client portal and a simple website, for one price. A weight loss coach who sells "6 sessions over 3 months" and tracks everything else in conversation can run on it.

Paperbell homepage presenting its all-in-one admin tool for solo coaches
Paperbell's homepage in October 2026.

The single plan is $97 a month as listed in October 2026 ($80.83 a month billed annually), with unlimited clients, sessions and packages. The pricing page states "No additional transaction fees"; Stripe or PayPal processor fees apply. A 30-day money-back guarantee is offered, and our older profile notes a 7-day trial with some features off. Trustpilot shows 3.5 from 14 reviews.

For weight loss work the gaps are large: our older profile lists no courses, community, goal or habit tracking, and no native mobile app. Weekly weigh-ins, daily habits and group support would all sit in other tools, which brings you back to the stack Practice Better replaced.

Our Paperbell alternatives page compares it with tools that do track progress.

Pick it over Coachful if you only sell 1:1 session packages, want PayPal at checkout, and do not track habits or check-ins in software.

8. Delenta: portals first, courses on the top plan

Delenta is a coaching practice platform with CRM, scheduling, contracts, client portals and group coaching. Its pricing is built on client portals, so the number of weight loss clients you carry decides the plan.

Delenta homepage presenting its coaching practice platform with client portals
Delenta's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026: Starter $29 a month for 10 client portals, Pro $49 for 40 portals with up to 6 calendars, Premium $79 for unlimited portals and 100 GB. The course creator and mobile app are only on Premium, and multi-coach Teams pricing is not shown. The trial length conflicts on the page (14 days in the headline, 7 days in the FAQ); no card is required. Trustpilot shows 4.1 from 5 reviews, a small sample.

For weight loss coaches, Delenta does not document nutrition targets, meal plans or habit tracking in our data. It works if your program is session-led with resources shared through the portal; if you want clients logging daily habits on their phone, you would need Premium for the app and still miss the nutrition layer.

Pick it over Coachful if you want a client-portal CRM with PayPal support and your weight loss coaching runs mostly through sessions and shared documents.

9. Satori: pay only for active paying clients

Satori bills only for active clients, which suits weight loss coaches whose clients come and go in seasons, such as a January and September intake. It covers scheduling, a client portal, packages and programs, invoices and contracts.

Satori homepage presenting its coaching practice software for scheduling and packages
Satori's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Essentials is $33 a month for up to 10 active paying clients, Pro is $49 (our older profile says 50 active clients) and Leader is $124 (older profile: 150 active clients). A free Scholar plan is available for coaches studying for a certification. The 15-day trial needs no card during the trial. Satori charges nothing on client payments; PayPal and Stripe fees apply.

Our older profile lists no native mobile app, no native Zoom integration, and no landing pages, courses or community. There is no nutrition or habit layer in our data. For a weight loss coach that means Satori handles the business paperwork while tracking happens elsewhere.

Pick it over Coachful if you run seasonal intakes, want billing tied strictly to active paying clients, and track progress outside the platform.

10. Quenza: reflective activities without payments

Quenza leans toward the psychology side of weight loss: emotional eating, self-talk, triggers. It is a client-engagement tool for coaches and therapists with activities, worksheets, programs, chat and a client app, which suits a coach whose sessions dig into why a client eats at 10 pm.

Quenza homepage presenting its client engagement app for coaches and therapists
Quenza's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026: Spark $25 a month for 10 clients, Growth $50 for 250 clients, Impact $125 for 400, Collective $160 for up to 3 professionals and 500 clients. A 30-day trial needs no card. Trustpilot shows 4.3 from 8 reviews.

The limit is that Quenza does not process client payments today; invoicing and digital products are marked as planned. Our older profile also notes no scheduling or video calls, and our data lists no nutrition targets. You would pair it with a booking tool and a payment tool, so it works best as an add-on rather than a full Practice Better replacement.

Pick it over Coachful if your method is built on structured reflective worksheets and you are happy to book and bill clients in separate tools.

11. ABC Trainerize: for exercise-led weight loss programs

ABC Trainerize is a personal-training app with workouts, habits, nutrition tracking and messaging, priced by client seats. Weight loss coaches who lead with training plans, for example a strength-based fat loss program, will find its exercise side the most developed part.

ABC Trainerize homepage presenting its personal training and nutrition app
ABC Trainerize's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026: Basic is free for 1 client, Grow is $10 a month for 2 clients, Pro starts at $25 for 5 clients with tiers at 15, 30, 50, 75, 100 and 200 clients, and Studio Plus is $275 for 500 or more. We could not verify the Pro tier prices above 5 clients from our data, so check those on the vendor's page. A 30-day trial with unlimited clients needs no card.

Below Studio, scheduling, selling products, payments, video and advanced nutrition are separate paid add-ons. There is no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing. Our older profile notes that client data export is incomplete (no messages, photos or attachments), which matters for weight loss coaches whose progress photos are part of the record. Trustpilot shows 3.1 from 100 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if your weight loss offer is mainly a training program and you want an app many clients may already know.

12. My PT Hub: unlimited clients on one mid-priced plan

My PT Hub pricing page with Starter, Premium and Ultimate plans in euros
My PT Hub's pricing page in October 2026 (shown in euros).

My PT Hub is personal-trainer software with workouts, nutrition plans, bookings, payments, habits, check-ins and a client app. Unlike most fitness apps here, it bundles booking and payments into the core plans.

As listed in October 2026 (the pricing page we captured shows euros): Starter $25 a month for 3 clients and 50 nutrition plans, Premium $59 for unlimited clients, workouts and nutrition plans, and Ultimate $215 with 5 additional trainers. A 30-day trial needs no card and then drops to a free plan. Trustpilot shows 4.4 from 2,557 reviews, the largest review count on this list.

For weight loss coaches the gaps are marketing and groups: the pricing page shows no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing, and a white-label app store listing is a paid add-on below Ultimate.

Pick it over Coachful if you want unlimited 1:1 clients with nutrition plans and booking at one price, and already have a site and email list.

The sticker price is only half of it. A fitness app at $39 plus a website builder, an email tool, a booking tool and a community platform can cost more than one platform that includes them, and you pay in setup time too. Add up the whole stack before you compare.

How would a weight loss coach set this up in Coachful?

Here is an example setup for a coach moving a 12-week group program off Practice Better. The steps are illustrative; your program will differ.

  1. Request the build. Use the free white-glove form to ask for a 12-week program, a weekly check-in flow and a sales page. Attach your current program outline and logo.
  2. Set the weekly check-in. Weight, waist measurement, a progress photo (private), and 1 to 5 scores for energy, hunger and sleep, plus "What made this week harder?"
  3. Add four daily habits. Water, steps, protein at breakfast, vegetables at dinner. Keep it to four so clients can actually complete them.
  4. Set nutrition targets as ranges, and add two or three meal plans and a recipe set. If you are not licensed to prescribe diets, keep the guidance general and refer clients with medical conditions.
  5. Drip weekly lessons. Week 4 on plateaus, week 6 on eating out, week 10 on the shift to maintenance.
  6. Turn on the cohort. Enrollment creates the group automatically; schedule a weekly live Q&A as a recurring video event.
  7. Connect Stripe and offer a payment plan, with the coaching agreement e-signed at checkout.
  8. Watch the status view. Each Friday, message every client marked quiet or at risk.

If you are still deciding how to move your existing clients, our guide on migrating from Practice Better covers export and timing.

What red flags and switching costs should you watch for?

The biggest switching risk is losing progress history clients care about. Plan for these before you cancel anything:

  • Exports. Practice Better's per-client archive (notes, invoices, forms) is emailed and kept for 48 hours, with the contact list as a spreadsheet and bulk export on request (older profile). Download archives before your plan ends. On the receiving side, check what a tool exports: our older profile notes that Trainerize exports leave out messages, photos and attachments.
  • Clinical records. If you hold lab results, medication lists or notes a dietitian or doctor wrote, they belong in a clinical system, not in a coaching tool without a BAA.
  • Add-on creep. Everfit, Trainerize and HubFit put payments, meal plans or branding behind add-ons or higher tiers. Price the plan you will actually use.
  • Per-client pricing. CoachAccountable and Coachway look affordable at 5 clients and rise steeply at 40. Run the 40-client number before you launch a group program.
  • Wearables. If your clients rely on a watch syncing steps automatically, confirm that integration exists. Coachful does not sync Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura.
  • Re-onboarding fatigue. Every switch means clients download a new app. Move at a program boundary, such as the start of a new 12-week block, not mid-cohort.

Habit tracking is often what clients notice most in a switch; our guide to habit tracking apps for weight loss coaches goes deeper, and community platforms for weight loss coaches covers the group side.

Which Practice Better alternative should a weight loss coach choose?

For most weight loss coaches who coach behavior rather than treat conditions, Coachful is the strongest Practice Better alternative: habits, check-ins, nutrition targets, progress photos, programs, cohorts, booking, payments and a website sit in one login, and the free white-glove build removes most of the setup work. Choose Coachway or My PT Hub if you run mainly 1:1 macro coaching and already have marketing covered. Choose HubFit if you want the lowest price for dozens of tracked clients. Stay on Practice Better, or another clinical EHR, if you chart clinically, prescribe or bill insurance.

Coachful is for program-based coaches who want one platform; it is not a clinical system and does not sync wearables. You can start with a free trial and ask the team to build your program and site for free. Nutrition coaches can also compare our Practice Better alternatives for nutrition coaches, and health coaches can see Coachful for health coaches.

Frequently asked questions

Is Practice Better good for weight loss coaches?

It is good for weight loss practitioners who chart, use telehealth and need clinical add-ons such as ePrescribe. For coaches who focus on habits, groups and selling programs, much of its clinical design goes unused, and evergreen programs and portal branding start on the $99 a month Plus plan as listed in October 2026.

Can I use Coachful if I am a registered dietitian?

You can use it for the coaching side of your work, such as habits, check-ins, programs and community. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, has no EHR and offers no insurance billing, so clinical notes and protected health information should stay in a clinical system.

Does Coachful sync with Apple Health or Fitbit?

No. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. Clients log steps, weight and measurements themselves through check-ins and habits.

Which alternative is cheapest for a new weight loss coach?

Everfit has a free plan for up to 5 clients, and ABC Trainerize has a free plan for 1 client. Both put payments and some nutrition features behind add-ons, so the total rises once you sell through the app.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a free build service on every plan. You describe what you want, such as a program, check-in flow, website or funnel, attach reference links and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.

Can I track weigh-ins and progress photos in Coachful?

Yes, with the Fitness & Nutrition pack. It includes private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins, and nutrition targets up to calories and macros, alongside habits and programs.

Should a weight loss coach give meal plans?

It depends on your credentials and local rules. Unlicensed coaches usually keep nutrition guidance general and refer clients with medical conditions, eating disorder signs or medication questions to a doctor or registered dietitian. Check what your training and jurisdiction allow.

How do I move clients from Practice Better without losing history?

Download each client's archive while your plan is active, since Practice Better keeps emailed archives for 48 hours, and export the contact list. Switch at the start of a new program block, and if you move to Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.

Can I run group weight loss challenges in these tools?

Coachful includes challenges, cohort groups created on enrollment, a community feed and group calls. Most fitness apps on this list focus on 1:1 tracking, and session tools such as Paperbell and Satori do not list community features.

Does Coachful take a cut of my program sales?

No. Since August 2026 Coachful charges a 0% platform fee on client payments; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing fees through your own account.
