Setmore Pricing in 2026: Plans, Fees and What Coaches Pay

Setmore pricing, as listed in October 2026, comes down to three plans: Free at $0 for up to 4 users, Pro at $5 per user per month when billed yearly (or $12 per user per month, which appears to be the month-to-month rate), and a custom-priced Enterprise plan. Setmore shows no platform fee of its own on payments, but your processor's fees apply, SMS reminders are only on Pro, and a US-only Live Receptionist add-on costs $99 a month. For a solo coach who only needs a booking page, Setmore is one of the cheapest tools around. For a coach who also needs contracts, invoices, programs and a client space, it covers one slice of the job.
This guide walks through every plan, every fee Setmore documents, what a coach actually pays at three practice sizes, the gotchas on the pricing page, and how Setmore compares on cost with Calendly, Acuity Scheduling, TidyCal and Coachful. We make Coachful, so we say where Setmore is the better pick, and we only use what each vendor publishes on its own pricing page.

How much does Setmore cost in 2026?
Setmore costs $0 on the Free plan and $5 per user per month on Pro when you pay yearly, as listed in October 2026. The same Pro card also shows $12 per user, and the page's footnote ties the $5 figure to annual billing, so $12 is most likely the monthly-billing price, although the page does not label it.
Here is the whole price list in one place.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly (per month) | Users | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Up to 4 users | Unlimited appointments; 1 email reminder; no SMS reminders |
| Pro | $12 per user (not labelled; appears to be monthly billing) | $5 per user | Unlimited users, priced per user | 500 SMS credits per user per month; 2 reminders plus SMS |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Contact sales |
On a yearly bill, one Pro user comes to $60 a year. On monthly billing at $12, the same user costs $144 a year, so the annual option saves $84 per user per year, or a little under 60%. Because Pro is priced per user, those numbers multiply by every person on the account who needs a Pro seat.
One oddity worth knowing: a comparison table lower on the same pricing page shows "$125 user/month" for Pro. That figure does not match the plan cards and appears to be a typo, so treat the $5 and $12 figures on the plan cards as the real ones and confirm at checkout.
What does each Setmore plan include?
Free gives you a working booking setup with payments; Pro adds the features most paid practices end up needing, such as two-way calendar sync, SMS reminders, deposits and branding removal. Enterprise is a sales conversation with no published feature list.

Setmore Free ($0)
The Free plan covers up to 4 users with unlimited appointments. According to the pricing page, it includes:
- A branded booking page where clients pick a time
- Online and in-person payments
- Tap to Pay for taking payments in person on a phone
- A Zapier connection
- Mobile and desktop apps
- One email reminder per appointment
What it leaves out matters for coaches: no SMS reminders and no two-way calendar sync. Without two-way sync, a session booked in Setmore may not block time in your main calendar, and a personal event in your main calendar may not block time on your booking page. Booking pages on Free also carry Setmore branding, which Pro removes.
Setmore Pro ($5 per user per month billed yearly)
Pro is where Setmore becomes a full scheduling tool for a paid practice. On top of everything in Free, the pricing page lists:
- Removal of Setmore branding from your booking page
- Two-way calendar sync
- Recurring appointments, useful for weekly coaching sessions
- Video appointments
- Deposits, so clients pay part up front to hold a slot
- Review requests after appointments
- Two reminders plus SMS, with 500 SMS credits per user per month
- A HIPAA business associate agreement (BAA)
- API access
- Priority support
The HIPAA BAA is the line many health and wellness coaches look for. Under US rules, a business associate that handles protected health information on behalf of a covered entity needs a written agreement; the US Department of Health and Human Services explains business associates here. Most coaches are not covered entities, so check with an attorney before assuming you need one. Coaching is also not treatment: if a client describes symptoms, a diagnosis or a crisis, refer them to a licensed clinician rather than recording clinical details in any coaching tool.
Setmore Enterprise (custom)
Enterprise has no published price or feature list; the card just says to contact sales. It is aimed at larger organisations. A solo coach or a small team will not need it.
Is there a Setmore free trial?
Setmore's Free plan is the main way to try it. For Pro, the page offers to let you try it "risk-free for 30 days" with a refund on request. That is a money-back window rather than a classic free trial: you pay first and ask for the refund if it is not a fit. The page does not say whether a card is required to start.
What fees does Setmore charge on top of the plan?
Setmore does not show a fee of its own on client payments, but you pay your payment processor's rates, and two add-ons can raise the bill: a $99 a month Live Receptionist (US only) and extra SMS credits, priced off the pricing page.
| Cost item | What Setmore lists | Who it affects |
|---|---|---|
| Setmore fee on payments | None shown on the pricing page | Everyone taking payments |
| Processing fees | Your processor's rates apply (Square, Stripe, PayPal or LawPay) | Everyone taking payments |
| Extra users | Free: up to 4. Pro: priced per user | Teams and assistants |
| SMS reminders | Pro only; 500 credits per user per month | Coaches who rely on text reminders |
| Extra SMS credits | Available; price not shown | High-volume practices |
| Live Receptionist | $99 per month, US only | Practices that want calls answered |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | Large organisations |
Transaction and processing fees
Setmore connects to Square, Stripe, PayPal and LawPay. The pricing page does not show a Setmore platform fee, which is good news: you are not paying a percentage to the scheduling tool on top of the processor. You still pay whatever your processor charges per card payment, so look up the current rate on your processor's own pricing page and add it to your budget. On a package of several sessions, that percentage is often a bigger yearly cost than the Setmore subscription itself.
Add-ons and overages
The two add-ons on the page are the Live Receptionist service at $99 a month, available in the US only, and extra SMS credits beyond the 500 per user per month that Pro includes. Setmore does not show the price of extra credits, so if you send several texts per session (a booking confirmation, a reminder, a reschedule), count your monthly volume before assuming 500 is plenty.
Seats
Free covers up to 4 users at no cost, which is generous. On Pro, every user is a paid seat. A three-coach practice on Pro yearly pays $15 a month in total; on monthly billing it is $36. Adding an assistant who needs their own login adds another seat.
What does a coach actually pay for Setmore?
A coach pays between $0 and $60 a year for Setmore alone at solo scale, and about $180 a year for a three-coach team on Pro yearly, but Setmore covers scheduling and payments only. The fuller cost of running a coaching practice includes the tools you still need beside it.
The table below uses three example practice sizes. Setmore totals come straight from the listed prices; the last column lists what you would still need to buy or build elsewhere. Coachful appears first because it is the tool we would recommend for a coach who runs programs rather than just sessions.
| Option | Solo coach, 5 clients | Practice, 15 clients | Team of 3 coaches, 40 clients | Still needed beside it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Team plans add coach seats. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Processor fees only (Stripe or Razorpay); booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, website and email are included in your Coachful membership |
| Setmore Free | $0 a year | $0 a year | $0 a year (fits the 4-user cap, without SMS or two-way sync) | Contracts, invoicing, client portal, programs and check-ins, courses, community, website, email marketing |
| Setmore Pro, billed yearly | $60 a year (1 user) | $60 a year (1 user) | $180 a year (3 users) | Same list as above, minus SMS reminders and calendar sync |
| Setmore Pro, billed monthly | $144 a year (1 user) | $144 a year (1 user) | $432 a year (3 users) | Same list as above |
Two things stand out. First, Setmore's price does not change with the number of clients, only with the number of users, so a solo coach pays the same for 5 clients as for 50. Second, the "still needed" column is where the real money goes. A coach who sells a 12-week program on Setmore usually also pays for an e-signature tool for the coaching agreement, a separate invoicing setup, somewhere to deliver the program (a course platform, a shared drive, or a client app), an email marketing tool and a website. Each of those is its own subscription and its own login for you and the client.

If you are still working out what to charge, our guides on pricing coaching packages and hourly vs package pricing show how to build the software stack into your rates.
What are the hidden costs and gotchas in Setmore pricing?
The main gotchas are per-user pricing on Pro, SMS limits with unpriced top-ups, a refund-based "trial" rather than a free one, missing calendar sync on Free, and the coaching work Setmore does not cover at all.
- Pro scales with people, not clients. Cheap for one coach, but each assistant, associate or co-coach is another seat. A team of 6 on Pro monthly would pay $72 a month.
- The $12 price is not labelled. The plan card shows $12 and $5 per user, and only a footnote ties $5 to annual billing. Check which billing period is selected before you pay.
- A stray "$125 user/month". The comparison table on the pricing page shows this figure for Pro. It appears to be an error, but it is worth confirming the price in your checkout summary.
- SMS credits run out. Pro includes 500 SMS credits per user per month. Extra credits exist, but their price is not on the pricing page.
- Free has no two-way sync. Double-bookings cost more than the subscription. If your main calendar is Google or Outlook, Pro's two-way sync is close to essential.
- Free shows Setmore branding. Fine for discovery calls, less polished for a premium coaching offer.
- The 30-day Pro offer is a refund window. You pay first and request the refund if you cancel, so diary the date.
- No program delivery. Setmore has no client programs, habits, check-ins, courses or community, so clients' between-session work lives somewhere else.
- No contracts or invoicing workflow on the pricing page. Coaching agreements and invoices need another tool.
- Data export is not documented on the pages we checked. Ask support how you would take your client and appointment history with you before you build your practice on it.
What do reviewers say about Setmore?
Setmore holds a 4.9 rating on Trustpilot from 3,274 reviews, as seen on 25 October 2026. That is a strong score from a large number of reviewers, and it is consistent with Setmore's reputation as an easy, low-cost booking tool. A rating tells you how happy existing users are with what the product sets out to do; it does not tell you whether that scope fits a coaching business. For comparison, Coachful's Trustpilot rating is 4.5 from 21 reviews, a much smaller sample.
Is Setmore worth it for coaches?
Setmore is worth it if all you need is a booking page with reminders and payments, and it is very good value at that job. It is not worth it as the backbone of a coaching business that sells programs, because it does not deliver anything between sessions.
New coaches booking discovery calls
Setmore Free is a sensible start if you only need people to book a call and you can live with email-only reminders and Setmore branding. Once you sell your first package, you will need agreements, invoices and somewhere to deliver the work. Our guide for new coaches shows how to set all of that up in one place from day one.
Health and wellness coaches who need a BAA
If your attorney tells you that you need a HIPAA BAA, Setmore Pro includes one, which is a genuine advantage. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so pick Setmore (or another tool with a BAA) for that requirement. Most health coaches work outside HIPAA, though, and need habits, check-ins and program delivery more than clinical safeguards.
Fitness and nutrition coaches
Setmore books sessions and takes deposits, but it has no workout builder, food logging, progress photos or check-ins. For an online fitness business, scheduling is a small part of the week. Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack covers workouts, nutrition targets, meal plans and private form-check video alongside booking.
Program and group coaches
Setmore has no programs, cohorts or community. If you run a 6 or 12-week group program, you would need a separate course or community tool, and clients would juggle several logins. See our group coaching software page for what a single-login setup looks like.
Small coaching teams
Free's 4-user cap is generous for a small team on a tight budget, and Pro yearly is still cheap per seat. The catch is that each coach needs the rest of the stack too. Coachful's team plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions, plus round-robin or least-busy assignment for shared session types.
Coaches who take PayPal
Setmore connects to PayPal. Coachful does not support PayPal (it uses your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account), so if PayPal is essential for your clients, that is a real point for Setmore.
How does Setmore pricing compare with Coachful, Calendly, Acuity and TidyCal?
Setmore is the cheapest per-seat paid scheduler in this group on yearly billing, but it is a scheduling tool, as are Calendly, Acuity Scheduling and TidyCal. Coachful is the only one here that also runs the coaching itself.
We ranked these on what matters for a coaching business: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort (including a free white-glove build).
| Tool | Entry price | Main paid plan | How it is priced | Platform fee on payments | Covers |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Flat monthly plans; lower plans cap clients; team plans add seats; a free trial | 0% (Stripe or Razorpay processing only) | Booking, payments, contracts, programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community, website, email, AI assistant |
| Setmore | Free (up to 4 users) | Pro: $5 per user per month yearly, $12 monthly | Per user | None shown; processor rates apply | Booking page, reminders, payments, deposits |
| Calendly | Free (1 event type, 1 calendar) | Standard: $10 per seat per month yearly; Teams: $16 | Per seat | None documented; Stripe or PayPal rates apply | Booking pages, reminders and workflows, paid bookings |
| Acuity Scheduling | Starter: $20 per month ($16 yearly) | Standard: $34 ($27 yearly); Premium: $69 ($55 yearly) | By number of calendars | None mentioned; processor rates apply | Booking, intake forms, packages, memberships |
| TidyCal | Free | Pro: $12 per month ($8.25 yearly); one-off Lifetime deals | Per account | 1% on Stripe payments on Free and Lifetime; 0% on Pro | Booking types, paid bookings, packages |
Coachful
Coachful is a coaching platform: one subscription covers booking, payments, coaching agreements, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant called Michelle. The coach has one login and the client has one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing 4 to 6 separate tools (Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).

On the scheduling side, Coachful covers the scheduling basics most coaches use Setmore Pro for: booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links; email reminders plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled; paid sessions, session credits and intake questions on booking. Here is a short walkthrough of scheduling in Coachful:
Where it goes further is everything after the booking. A coaching agreement with e-signature goes out before the first call and is stored on the client record. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and an invoice per transaction. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. See coaching contracts and coaching payment software for details.

Between sessions, clients work through multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goal progress bars and streaks, all inside the coach's branded app. Courses, downloads, a community feed, group chat and cohort groups created automatically on enrolment live in the same place. You see each client's status (thriving, active, quiet or at risk) and get an AI briefing before each session.

What Coachful does not do: it is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, it is not for clinical records or insurance billing, it has no PayPal and no permanent free plan, and the client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than under your own App Store account. It has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync and no routing forms that pick a host from form answers.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create, choose "We'll build it for you", and describe what you want: a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline, an email sequence, a form, a coaching flow and more. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, brand guides and copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours, and never invents credentials, testimonials or prices. One recent example: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more about the free white-glove build service.

To start, open a free trial, then use the white-glove build to set up your site, a booking funnel and your first program. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.
Pick Setmore over Coachful if you only need a booking page, you need a HIPAA BAA, your clients pay by PayPal, or your budget for software is close to zero.
Calendly
Calendly, as listed in October 2026, has a Free plan with one event type and one calendar connection, Standard at $10 per seat per month billed yearly with up to 6 calendar connections and unlimited event types, and Teams at $16 per seat per month billed yearly. Monthly-billed prices were not shown in the data we checked. Calendly charges no documented fee on payments; you connect Stripe or PayPal and pay their rates. Like Setmore, it has no client records, programs, check-ins, contracts or invoicing. It holds a 4.1 Trustpilot rating from 714 reviews. Calendly's Standard plan costs twice Setmore Pro's yearly rate per seat. See our full Calendly pricing breakdown.

Acuity Scheduling
Acuity Scheduling is priced by calendars rather than seats: Starter is $20 a month ($16 yearly) for one calendar, Standard is $34 ($27 yearly) for up to 6 calendars, and Premium is $69 ($55 yearly) for up to 36. It offers a 7-day free trial with no card. Acuity adds intake forms, packages and memberships, which suit coaches who sell session bundles, but text reminders start on Standard and its HIPAA BAA is only on Premium. Setmore Pro yearly gives you a BAA and SMS for $5 per user, far below Acuity's Premium. Acuity holds 3.6 on Trustpilot from 687 reviews.

TidyCal
TidyCal has a Free plan with unlimited booking types and bookings, one-off Lifetime deals, and a Pro plan at $12 a month ($8.25 yearly) with unlimited calendar connections and SMS reminders. The catch is a 1% TidyCal fee on Stripe payments on Free and Lifetime plans (0% on Pro), plus Stripe's own fees. Setmore shows no platform fee at any tier, which makes it cheaper than TidyCal Free for a coach taking paid bookings. TidyCal holds 3.1 on Trustpilot from 182 reviews.

For more side-by-side views, see our comparison hub and our breakdowns of Paperbell pricing and Practice Better pricing, two coaching-specific tools that sit between a scheduler and a full platform.
How can you save money on Setmore?
The biggest saving is paying yearly: $60 instead of $144 per user per year. Beyond that, keep seats to the people who need them and stay on Free until a Pro feature pays for itself.
- Pay yearly once you are sure. Start on monthly billing if you are unsure, then switch to annual billing to cut the per-user cost by $7 a month.
- Stay on Free while you test your offer. Up to 4 users and unlimited appointments is enough for discovery calls and early clients.
- Only seat people who take bookings. On Pro, every user is billed, so remove seats for people who no longer take appointments.
- Watch SMS volume. Turn off text messages you do not need so the 500 monthly credits per user last, since extra credits are unpriced on the page.
- Skip the Live Receptionist unless calls are your main channel. At $99 a month, it costs more than 19 Pro seats on yearly billing.
- Count the whole stack. The cheapest scheduler can still sit inside an expensive stack. Add up your e-signature, invoicing, course, community, email and website tools, then compare that total with one platform. Our coaching pricing audit guide walks through the sums.
Should you choose Setmore or an all-in-one coaching platform?
Choose Setmore if scheduling is the only gap in your setup; choose an all-in-one platform if you are paying for, or about to pay for, several tools that each handle one part of a client's journey.
A useful test: list what happens after a client books. If the answer is "they turn up to the call and that is it", Setmore at $0 or $5 a user is hard to beat. If the answer includes signing an agreement, paying in instalments, working through weekly tasks, checking in on habits, watching course lessons or joining a group, then a scheduler covers one step and you will be stitching the rest together. That is the gap Coachful's coaching software fills, with scheduling built in rather than bolted on. Coachful also tracks coaching hours against ICF ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds, which is covered on our ICF hour tracking page.
Setmore pricing FAQ
Is Setmore really free?
Yes. As listed in October 2026, Setmore's Free plan costs $0 for up to 4 users with unlimited appointments, a branded booking page and online payments. It has one email reminder, no SMS reminders and no two-way calendar sync, and booking pages carry Setmore branding.
How much is Setmore Pro per month?
Setmore Pro is $5 per user per month when billed yearly. The plan card also shows $12 per user, which appears to be the monthly-billing price, though the page does not label it. Confirm the billing period at checkout.
Does Setmore charge a fee on payments?
Setmore's pricing page does not show a fee of its own on payments. You pay the processing rates of whichever processor you connect: Square, Stripe, PayPal or LawPay.
Does Setmore have a free trial of Pro?
Setmore offers Pro "risk-free for 30 days", with a refund on request. That means you pay and can ask for your money back within the window. The page does not say whether a card is required.
Is Setmore HIPAA compliant?
Setmore lists a HIPAA BAA as a Pro feature, so Pro is the plan to look at if you need one. Whether you need a BAA depends on whether you handle protected health information for a covered entity, so check with an attorney. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA.
How many SMS reminders do I get on Setmore?
Pro includes 500 SMS credits per user per month. Free has no SMS reminders. Extra credits are available, but their price is not shown on the pricing page.
What is the $125 per user figure on Setmore's pricing page?
A comparison table on the pricing page shows "$125 user/month" for Pro, which does not match the $5 and $12 plan card prices and appears to be an error. Rely on the plan card and your checkout summary.
Is Setmore cheaper than Calendly?
On yearly billing, yes: Setmore Pro is $5 per user per month and Calendly Standard is $10 per seat per month, as listed in October 2026. Both have free plans, and Setmore's Free plan allows up to 4 users while Calendly's allows one event type and one calendar.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every Coachful plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build something for you inside your own account, such as a website, funnel, program, course outline or email sequence. You describe it and attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the team usually delivers within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.
Can Setmore replace a coaching platform?
Not on its own. Setmore handles booking, reminders and payments, but it has no client programs, habits, check-ins, courses or community, and no contracts or invoicing workflow appears on its pricing page. Coaches who sell programs usually pair it with several other tools or move to one platform.
