Best AI Coach Builder for Coaches: 7 Options Ranked

Best AI Coach Builder for Coaches: 7 Options Ranked

The best AI coach builder for coaches is the one that knows what each client is actually working on this week. A chatbot trained on your podcast transcripts can sound like you, but it cannot see that a client skipped three evening check-ins, missed a payment or set a new goal on Tuesday. So the deciding question is simple: do you want a standalone AI clone that answers questions in your voice, or an AI coach that lives inside the same place your clients already book, pay, follow their program and track habits?

For most working coaches, our pick is Coachful. We make Coachful, so weigh that, but the reasoning is checkable: its AI Coach and its Michelle assistant sit on top of live practice data (goals, check-ins, habits, notes, sessions, payments), and the whole client journey runs under one login. Standalone clone builders such as Delphi do one thing well, and we say exactly when you should pick them instead.

Below you will find what coaches really need from an AI coach builder, a ranked list of 7 options with prices as listed in October 2026, a feature matrix, a cost table at 5, 15 and 40 clients, and a step-by-step setup you can copy.

What do coaches actually need from an AI coach builder?

Coaches need an AI that extends their coaching between sessions without pretending to be them in situations it cannot handle. That means context about the client, clear boundaries set by the coach, and a place for the human coach to see what was said.

Think about where a client actually gets stuck. It is rarely in the session itself. It is Thursday evening, when the plan for the week looks unrealistic, or Sunday, when the weekly reflection prompt feels heavy. An AI coach is useful in those moments if it can answer from the client's real plan: "Your goal this week was two focused writing blocks; you logged one. Want to pick a time for the second?" A generic model can only guess.

Here is the short list of needs we hear from coaches across niches:

  • Client context. The AI should work from each client's goals, habits, check-ins and session notes, not just your public content.
  • Coach control. You decide which clients get access, what the AI covers and what it must hand back to you.
  • One place for the client. If the AI lives in a separate app, clients juggle two logins and you lose the thread. The AI should sit beside their program, sessions and messages.
  • Scope safety. Coaching is not therapy, medical care, legal or financial advice. The AI needs to stay inside coaching and point clients to you, or to a qualified professional, when something falls outside it.
  • Consent and data handling. Clients should know they are talking to an AI and how their messages are used. If you coach people in the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to that data.
  • Help for you, not only for clients. Session prep, program drafting and email writing save more of your hours than a client chatbot alone.

On scope: the ICF Code of Ethics asks coaches to be clear about the nature of coaching and to refer clients to other professionals when needed. An AI version of you should follow the same rule. If a client describes a crisis, a health symptom, or a situation that needs a therapist, doctor or lawyer, the right AI response is a short, kind handoff to you and to appropriate professional help, never an attempt to treat it. We cover how to set this up in setting up an AI coaching assistant that stays in its lane, and how to ask for consent in introducing AI session notes with informed consent.

Finally, remember what the technology is. An AI coach is built on a large language model, which predicts plausible text. It can be confidently wrong. That is one more reason to keep the coach in the loop and the AI close to real client data. For the bigger picture on what changes and what stays human, see will AI replace coaches.

How do the 7 options compare at a glance?

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery from real client data, total stack cost, and setup effort (including a free white-glove build where offered).

6. KajabiCourse and community sellersNot listed; AI credits on Growth and Pro$179/mo (Basic)
7. QuenzaCoaches and therapists who send structured activities and worksheetsNot listed$25/mo (Spark, 10 clients)

"Not listed" means the vendor's documented feature set that we reviewed does not describe a client-facing AI coach. It is not a claim that one could never exist.

How did we choose and rank these tools?

We ranked tools by how well they would serve one realistic practice: a solo coach with 15 private clients and one eight-week group program of about 12 people, who wants an AI that can answer client questions between sessions and help with their own prep and admin. We did not test the products hands-on. We read what each vendor documents, the prices listed on their pricing pages in October 2026, and what public reviewers report.

For that coach, four things decide the outcome:

  1. Does the AI know the client? An AI that sees goals, habits, check-ins and session history gives specific answers. One trained only on your public content gives general ones.
  2. Is it one login? If booking, payment, contracts, the program, the group and the AI live in one place, the client never has to ask "where do I find that?"
  3. What does the whole stack cost? A cheap AI chatbot plus a scheduler, a payment tool, a course host and a community app often costs more than one platform.
  4. How long until it works? Training a clone, building programs and wiring tools together takes weeks. Done-for-you help changes that.

Two kinds of tools ended up on the list. Dedicated AI clone builders (Delphi and Coachvox AI) do the "AI version of you" job directly but leave the rest of the practice elsewhere. Coaching platforms (Practice Better, CoachAccountable, Kajabi, Quenza) run the practice but, in what they document, do not offer a client-facing AI coach. Coachful is the one option that does both, which is why it ranks first.

1. Coachful: the AI coach that works from your clients' real data

Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login, and each client gets one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six separate tools.

What does the AI actually do in Coachful?

There are two AI pieces, and they do different jobs.

AI Coach is an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions. You configure it and you choose who gets access, so it can be a benefit of your premium package rather than something every client sees by default. Because it sits inside the same app as the client's program, it lives next to their goals, tasks and check-ins instead of in a separate chatbot window.

Michelle is the built-in assistant for you, the coach. She works from live practice data. She can build programs, draft emails and content, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before a session on what happened since the last one. If you want it, she also gives optional private feedback on your own coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning with Michelle are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

Here is a short walkthrough of the AI Coach:

Where does the client meet the AI?

The client opens the coach's branded app inside the Coachful app. There they see their next session, their programs, their progress, documents and any pre-session task. Multi-week programs carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. That structure is what gives an AI coach something real to talk about.

On your side, every client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, plus an AI briefing for that client. Each client carries a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you can see who needs a human message today rather than reading every AI conversation.

What else is included in the membership?

  • Booking: availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links; email reminders, plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled; paid sessions, session credits and intake questions.
  • Payments: through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee (since August 2026); you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.
  • Agreements: coaching agreements with e-signature, sent before the first call and stored on the client record. More in coaching contracts.
  • Courses and resources: modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, plus downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles.
  • Community: feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, with cohort groups created automatically when someone enrolls in a program.
  • Marketing: a section-based website builder with blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates; booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels; email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences.
  • Credential tracking: coaching hours and distinct clients counted against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds, with an exportable ICF client coaching log. See ICF hour tracking.
  • Templates: more than 40 ready-to-film program templates, 48 course templates with quizzes and about 25 funnel templates.

Can the Coachful team build it for you?

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you · FREE and describe what you want built: a website, funnel, offer or sales page, program, course outline and written material, journey or coaching flow, form, email sequence, link in bio, lead quiz, event or automation. Attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos, brand guide or existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent example: a real-estate and money coach got a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a free nine-day bootcamp funnel. Another: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more about the free white-glove service.

What Coachful does not do

  • It is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
  • No PayPal, and no permanent free plan (there is a free trial).
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.
  • No Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and no stock exercise videos.
  • No Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no multi-stage deal board for large sales teams.
  • It is not a course marketplace, and it has no third-party plugins.

Price: flat monthly plans; lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add coach seats (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Monthly plans cancel in one click. For a broader look at the assistant, see the AI coaching assistant page.

2. Delphi: a high-end clone of your thinking

Delphi is the closest thing on this list to a pure "digital mind" product. You train it on your words, and people can talk to that clone by text or voice. It suits authors, speakers and coaches with a large body of published material and an audience bigger than they could ever serve one to one.

What the pricing page documents (October 2026):

  • Scaler, marked most popular, at $5k per year: 10 integrations, pro voice calls, 12 million training words, actions and a developer platform, Slack, and product recommendations.
  • Scaler + API at $10k per year: everything in Scaler plus API access, single sign-on, 60-day custom onboarding support, 20 million training words, unlimited integrations and priority support.
  • Immortal, with tailored pricing: adds a dedicated account strategist, a white-glove experience, text and WhatsApp, custom applications and unlimited training words.

No monthly price, message limits, free trial terms or revenue fees were shown on that page when we checked.

Limits for a working coach: Delphi is a clone, not a practice. Nothing on its pricing page covers booking, contracts, client payments for coaching packages, program delivery, habits or check-ins. Your clone answers from what you trained it on, so it will not know that a particular client missed their Tuesday session unless you build that connection yourself. At $5k per year for the entry plan, it is also an investment that only pays back with a large audience.

Pick it over Coachful if you are a known author or speaker whose main goal is letting thousands of people ask "what would you say about this?", and you already run your coaching clients somewhere else.

3. Coachvox AI: a dedicated AI coach clone

Coachvox AI is marketed to coaches who want an AI version of themselves. Its site offers a "Start free trial" button, which places it within reach of solo coaches in a way the enterprise-priced clones are not.

We could not verify its price. When we loaded its pricing page in October 2026, the page did not show plan names, prices, limits or trial terms; the trial button pointed to a pricing section on the homepage. Rather than guess, we leave the price blank in our tables. Check the current figures yourself before you commit, and ask how the price scales with the number of client conversations.

Questions to ask before you sign up:

  • What content does the clone train on, and can you remove material later?
  • Can you see full conversation logs, and can clients delete theirs?
  • How does it handle a message about self-harm, a medical symptom or a legal problem? Ask for the exact handoff wording.
  • Does it know anything about an individual client's plan, or only your general material?
  • Where is data stored, and is there a data processing agreement if you coach EU clients?

Limits: as a standalone clone, it sits outside your booking, payments, contracts and program delivery. Your clients will have one place for the AI and another for everything else, and you will be the one stitching the story together before each session.

Pick it over Coachful if you already have a practice stack you are happy with and want to add only an AI clone, without moving clients, programs or payments.

4. Practice Better: practice management for wellness practitioners

Practice Better homepage in October 2026 with its main headline and sign-up button
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Practice Better is practice management software for wellness and nutrition practitioners: scheduling, telehealth, charting, billing, programs and a client portal. It earns its place here because, for health and nutrition coaches, the structure it offers is what an AI would need to work from. In what we reviewed, though, it does not document a client-facing AI coach, so you would add the AI elsewhere.

Prices as listed in October 2026:

  • Sprout: $0/mo for 3 clients, 1 practitioner and 100 MB.
  • Starter: $35/mo ($25/mo annual) for 10 clients and 1 GB.
  • Professional: $69/mo ($59/mo annual) for 300 clients and 5 GB.
  • Plus: $99/mo ($89/mo annual) for unlimited clients, 3 admins and unlimited storage.
  • Team: $155/mo ($145/mo annual) for 2 practitioners, up to 200 at $50 each.

There is a 30-day trial on Team and 14 days on other paid plans. Payments run through Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe.

Limits: evergreen programs, portal branding, a custom URL and SMS start on Plus at $99/mo. There is no website builder or funnel pages, based on an older profile, and one practitioner per account below Team.

Pick it over Coachful if you work in a clinical-adjacent wellness role where charting, telehealth and a practitioner-style record matter more than an AI coach, community or marketing site. Compare them side by side in Coachful vs Practice Better.

5. CoachAccountable: action plans and metrics for a small roster

CoachAccountable homepage in October 2026 with its main headline and sign-up button
CoachAccountable's homepage in October 2026.

CoachAccountable is a coaching back office built around accountability: sessions, action plans, metrics, worksheets, courses, invoicing and agreements. Reviewers on Trustpilot rate it 4.8 from 47 reviews (seen October 2026). It does not document a client-facing AI coach in what we reviewed.

Prices as listed in October 2026, by active clients: Starter $20/mo (2), Level 1 $40/mo (5), Level 2 $70/mo (10), Level 3 $120/mo (20), Level 4 $250/mo (50) and Level 5 $400/mo (100). There is a 30-day trial with no credit card and no limits.

Limits: pricing per active client gets expensive for large group programs; in our 15-client scenario with a 12-person group, you would be well into Level 4. Based on an older profile, it has no native mobile app, no landing pages, website or marketing automation, and it states it is not HIPAA compliant.

Pick it over Coachful if your coaching is mostly one-to-one action plans and metric tracking for a small, stable roster, and you do not need AI, a community or a website in the same place. More detail in Coachful vs CoachAccountable.

6. Kajabi: AI credits inside a course and community business

Kajabi homepage in October 2026 with its main headline and sign-up button
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. It includes AI credits on its higher plans, which helps with creating content. In what we reviewed, it does not document a per-client AI coach that works from an individual client's plan, and it has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins.

Prices as listed in October 2026:

  • Basic: $179/mo ($143/mo annual) for 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits.
  • Growth: $249/mo ($199/mo annual) for 50 products, 25,000 contacts, 11 admin users and 500 AI credits.
  • Pro: $499/mo ($399/mo annual) for unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 communities, 3 websites and 1,000 AI credits.

The standard trial is 14 days. Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic down to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro; other providers (excluding PayPal) add an extra Kajabi fee of 0.5% to 2%.

Limits: coaching on Kajabi is shaped around products and communities rather than per-client plans. The Basic plan has no AI credits at all.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is mainly selling courses and memberships to a large audience, and one-to-one coaching is a small add-on. See Coachful vs Kajabi.

7. Quenza: structured activities for coaches and therapists

Quenza homepage in October 2026 with its main headline and sign-up button
Quenza's homepage in October 2026.

Quenza is a client-engagement tool for coaches and therapists: activities, worksheets, programs, chat and a client app. It is good at sending structured exercises between sessions, which is the human-designed cousin of an AI coach. It does not document a client-facing AI coach in what we reviewed.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Spark $25/mo ($20/mo annual) for 1 professional and 10 clients; Growth $50/mo ($40/mo annual) for 250 clients; Impact $125/mo ($100/mo annual) for 400 clients; Collective $160/mo ($128/mo annual) for up to 3 professionals and 500 clients; Beyond is custom. There is a 30-day trial with no credit card.

Limits: there is no client payment processing yet (invoicing and digital products are marked as planned), and an older profile notes no scheduling or video calls. You would still need separate tools for booking, payments and contracts.

Pick it over Coachful if you are a therapist or coach who mainly needs a library of structured worksheets and activities, and you already handle booking and billing elsewhere.

Which features does each tool include?

This matrix shows what each vendor documents. "Partial" means the feature exists with a notable limit. "Not listed" means we found no documentation of it.

What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Prices below are monthly list prices in October 2026, before payment processing. For the clone builders, remember you still pay separately for booking, payments and program delivery; the coaching platforms (other than Coachful) still need a separate AI tool if you want a client-facing AI coach.

Tool5 clients15 clients40 clientsWhat else you still need

Quenza$25 (Spark)$50 (Growth)$50 (Growth)Booking, payments, a client-facing AI tool

Two patterns stand out. First, a dedicated clone at the enterprise end costs more per year than most coaching platforms, before you add the rest of the stack. Second, per-active-client pricing (CoachAccountable) climbs quickly once a group program is in the mix. Kajabi's Basic plan is cheaper at $179, but it includes no AI credits, which is why we priced Growth here.

How do you set up an AI coach in Coachful, step by step?

Here is a worked setup for the scenario above: 15 private clients and one eight-week group program. You can do it yourself or ask for the free white-glove build to do the heavy lifting.

  1. Bring your clients and content in. During onboarding, Coachful imports your clients, programs and content for you. If you are starting fresh, pick one of the more than 40 program templates as a base.
  2. Build the program structure first. Set weekly goals, daily tasks and two or three habits per client. Add a morning and an evening check-in flow. This is the data the AI will work from, so it matters more than the AI settings.
  3. Ask Michelle to draft the group program. Describe the eight weeks and the outcome. Review the draft, edit it in your voice, then confirm the build (confirmed builds use AI credits).
  4. Configure the AI Coach. Decide what it covers (questions about the program, planning the week, reflecting on a check-in) and what it must hand back to you. Write a clear scope line, for example: "I am an AI version of your coach. I can help you plan and reflect. For anything about your health, safety or legal situation, I will point you to your coach and to a qualified professional."
  5. Choose who gets it. Turn on the AI Coach for selected clients. A sensible start is two or three clients who have agreed to try it, then wider access once you have read their conversations.
  6. Get consent in writing. Add a short AI clause to your coaching agreement, which clients e-sign before the first call. Say what the AI is, what it does not do and how conversations are used.
  7. Use the briefings. Before each session, read Michelle's briefing for that client: recent check-ins, habit streaks, any change in status. Then coach the person, not the summary.
  8. Review weekly. Look at who has moved to quiet or at risk, and send a human message. The AI keeps the week moving; you keep the relationship.

What the client experiences: they sign the agreement, book their first session from your booking page, and pay through your Stripe or Razorpay account. They open your branded app and see their next session, this week's goal, today's tasks and a morning check-in. On Thursday night, when the week feels off track, they open a chat with the AI version of you, which helps them reschedule a task or reframe the goal. If they mention something outside coaching, it hands them back to you. On Friday you open their record, see the check-in and the AI briefing, and walk into the next session already knowing what happened.

What mistakes should coaches avoid with AI coach builders?

The most common mistake is buying the AI before deciding what it should do. Start from the client moment you want to support, then pick the tool.

  • Training a clone on content but not on clients. A clone fed only podcasts and blog posts gives general advice. Clients pay you for advice about their situation.
  • Skipping the scope line. Write down what the AI must never handle and test it with a few difficult messages before any client sees it.
  • Hiding that it is an AI. Clients should always know. Surprise erodes trust faster than any feature builds it.
  • Giving it to everyone on day one. Start with a few willing clients, read the conversations, adjust, then expand.
  • Adding another login. Every separate app is a place a client can drift away from. Keep the AI where the program lives.
  • Ignoring the whole-stack cost. Add up the clone, scheduler, payments, course host and community app before comparing prices.
  • Letting the AI replace check-ins from you. Use AI to keep momentum between sessions, and keep personal messages for the moments that matter. Our guide to AI intake triage that keeps follow-up human shows the same principle for new leads.

Which AI coach builder should you choose?

Choose Coachful if you deliver programs and want an AI coach that works from each client's goals, habits, check-ins and sessions, with booking, payments, agreements, courses, community and your website under one login. Choose Delphi only if you are a well-known expert who wants a clone for a large audience and already runs clients elsewhere. Choose Coachvox AI if you want to bolt a clone onto an existing stack, after checking its current price yourself. Choose Practice Better, CoachAccountable, Kajabi or Quenza if their specific strength (charting, action plans, course sales, worksheets) matters more to you than having a client-facing AI built in.

Coachful in one paragraph: Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, from solo coaches to small teams. It covers booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, website, funnels and email, plus Michelle (the AI assistant for the coach) and AI Coach (an AI version of you for selected clients). It is not HIPAA-certified, does not support PayPal and does not sync wearables. To start, take a free trial and request the free white-glove build from the Create page. Frequently asked questions

What is an AI coach builder?

An AI coach builder is software that lets a coach create an AI version of themselves that clients can chat with. Some tools train a standalone clone on your content. Others, like Coachful, place the AI inside the coaching platform so it works alongside each client's program and history.

Can an AI coach replace me as the coach?

No. An AI coach can help clients plan, reflect and stay on track between sessions, but it is built on a language model that can be wrong and cannot hold the relationship you hold. Use it to extend your coaching, and keep sessions, judgement and difficult conversations human.

Is an AI coach safe for clients with mental health concerns?

Coaching is not therapy, and neither is an AI coach. Configure it to recognise topics outside coaching, such as crisis, health symptoms or legal problems, and to hand the client back to you and to a qualified professional. Test those handoffs before any client uses it.

Do I need to tell clients they are talking to an AI?

Yes. Clients should always know when they are talking to an AI and how their messages are used. A short clause in your coaching agreement, signed before the first call, is a simple way to get informed consent.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a done-for-you build available free on every Coachful plan. From the Create page you describe what you want, such as a website, funnel, program, course outline or email sequence, and attach up to 8 links and 10 files. The Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours, without inventing credentials, testimonials or prices.

Which clients get access to Coachful's AI Coach?

You choose. The AI Coach is available to the clients you select, and you configure what it covers. A sensible start is a few clients who have agreed to try it.

Does the AI cost extra in Coachful?

Asking Michelle questions and planning with her are included in your Coachful membership. Confirmed builds and changes, such as creating a program from a draft, use AI credits.

How much does Delphi cost?

Can I use an AI coach with clients in the EU?

You can, but their data falls under the GDPR. Check where each tool stores data, whether it offers a data processing agreement, and how clients can delete conversations. Coachful is GDPR-ready and offers a full client data export.

Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not meant for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. If you need that, look at clinical practice tools and keep coaching and treatment clearly separate.
