Best App for Executive Coaches: 5 Picks, Ranked for 2026

Best App for Executive Coaches: 5 Picks, Ranked for 2026

The best app for executive coaches is the one your clients actually open on a Tuesday afternoon between board meetings: it should hold their leadership goals, ask a two-minute reflection question, show what was agreed in the last session and let them message you without hunting through email. If the client side is clumsy, a senior leader will simply stop using it, and the work you do between sessions disappears.

Our pick is Coachful. Its client app runs on iPhone and Android and shows your branding inside the Coachful app, so a vice president sees your name, your programs, their goals, daily check-ins, habits, messages and a private cohort space in one place. We make Coachful, so read the ranking criteria below and judge the other four on what their vendors document. Each section ends with the case where the other tool is the better fit.

This guide is built as a decision guide first. Answer five questions about your practice, read the table that maps your answers to a pick, then go to the ranked sections, a cost comparison at 5, 15 and 40 clients, and the red flags that make switching expensive later. If you also want the coach's side (notes, scheduling, billing), our guide to session notes software for executive coaches covers that ground.

What do executive coaching clients actually do in an app between sessions?

They reflect briefly, track a small number of leadership commitments, prepare for the next conversation and occasionally ask for help before a hard meeting. Executive coaching, as Wikipedia's overview of executive coaching describes it, is aimed at changing how a leader behaves at work, and behaviour changes in the weeks between sessions, not during the hour itself.

A realistic week for a client in a six-month engagement looks like this (an example, not data from a study):

  • Monday: a short morning check-in. What is the one leadership behaviour I am practising this week? How did I sleep, and how much energy do I have?
  • Tuesday to Thursday: two or three habit ticks, such as "asked a question before giving my view in the staff meeting" or "blocked 30 minutes for strategic thinking".
  • Midweek: a message to the coach before a difficult conversation with a peer or the board chair.
  • Friday: an evening reflection: what worked, what did not, what to raise next session.
  • Before the session: a pre-session form, a glance at the notes from last time, and the agenda.
  • Occasionally: a lesson from a leadership program, a reading, or a discussion with peers in a small cohort.

Notice what is missing: executives rarely want a busy social feed, gamified badges or long course libraries. They want short, private, quick interactions that respect their time. That is why the client experience matters more than the number of features on a vendor's pricing page.

The tools in this list fall into three groups. Some give clients a dedicated app built around personal coaching (Coachful). Some give clients a community app first, with coaching bolted on through groups and courses (Mighty Networks, Circle, Kajabi). Some have no native mobile app at all, so clients use a mobile browser (CoachAccountable). Knowing which group a tool belongs to answers half the question before you start a trial.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

Which 5 questions should you answer before choosing a client app?

Answer these five about your own practice. Write the answers down; they map directly to the table in the next section.

  1. Is your work mostly 1:1, mostly cohorts, or both? A CEO coaching engagement looks very different from a 12-person leadership development cohort sponsored by HR.
  2. Do you need daily or weekly check-ins and habits, or is a monthly session enough? If accountability between sessions is part of what the client pays for, the app has to carry it.
  3. Does the client need a real phone app, or will a mobile web page do? Leaders who travel and read on their phone will judge you by how easy the app is to open.
  4. Who else needs to see the work? Some engagements involve a sponsor or HR partner. You need clear agreements, a clean client record and the discipline to keep private reflections private.
  5. How many tools are you willing to run? If you would rather not glue together a scheduler, a payment tool, a contract tool, a course host and a community, the client app should sit on top of one back office.

Which app fits your answers?

Find the row that matches your answers. Where more than one tool fits, the first one listed is our recommendation.

How did we rank these executive coaching apps?

We ranked on the client's experience first, then on what sits behind it. Ranked on: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery (check-ins, habits, goals, program content), total stack cost, and setup effort including Coachful's free white-glove build.

For each tool we looked at what the vendor documents and what public reviewers report. We did not run hands-on tests for this article, and vendor facts are as listed in October 2026. Trustpilot scores were seen on 25 October 2026.

1. Coachful: the best app for executive coaches overall

A habit tracker and a goal's daily momentum view on a tablet and phone in a business lounge
Coachful's client habit tracker and a goal's daily momentum view (demo data) on a tablet and phone in a business lounge.

Coachful is a coaching platform where the client app and the coach's back office are the same product. Your client installs the Coachful app on iPhone or Android, signs in, and sees your branding, your programs and their own work. It is not your own App Store listing; it is your brand inside the Coachful app. In exchange you get an app you do not have to build, submit or maintain, and it connects directly to booking, payments, agreements and your client records. Our white label mobile app guide for executive coaches explains that trade-off in more depth.

What the executive client sees on their phone

The client's coaching hub opens on the next session, with tabs for Overview, Programs, Sessions, Progress and Documents, and any work you have asked them to complete before you meet. For an executive, that single screen replaces the search for "that email with the agenda".

The client's coaching hub in Coachful: next session, tabs for programs, sessions, progress and documents, and pre-session work (demo data).

Between sessions the app carries the accountability layer:

  • Goals with progress bars. A goal such as "delegate the quarterly forecast to my finance lead" can have linked tasks and habits beneath it, with daily and weekly reflection tabs.
  • Morning and evening check-ins. You build them once in the coaching flows library and assign them. A morning check-in can ask about energy and the day's leadership focus; an evening one can ask what happened.
  • Habits and streaks. Small, repeatable behaviours, ticked off in seconds.
  • Multi-week programs. Weekly goals and daily tasks, so a six-month engagement has visible structure.
  • Courses, readings and downloads. Modules and lessons with drip and completion tracking, delivered into the client's branded home and app.
  • Messages and community. Direct messages with you, plus a community feed, group chat and video events. Cohort groups are created automatically when clients enrol in a program.

Coachful also offers an AI Coach: an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions, configured by you. Some executive coaches will want this for clients who think out loud late at night; others will keep it switched off. It is your choice per client.

What sits behind the app for you

Everything the client does lands on their client record: goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. Before each session, Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, can brief you from that live data and can summarize recorded sessions. If you are working toward a credential, Coachful tracks coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log (see ICF hour tracking). Michelle can also give you optional private feedback on your own coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8, published by the International Coaching Federation.

The commercial side is in the same account. Booking pages handle availability, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, which matters when your client flies between time zones. Calendars sync two ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook, and sessions can use built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, including subscriptions and payment plans, with 0% Coachful platform fee. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record, which helps when a sponsor wants the engagement terms documented.

Here is how check-ins are built and assigned on the coach side:

Where Coachful falls short

Be clear about the limits before you commit. The client app ships under the Coachful listing, so if your firm insists on its own App Store account, Coachful is not that. There is no Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no multi-stage deal board for large sales teams, which matters if you sell enterprise contracts through a corporate CRM. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, so it is not the place for clinical records. There is no PayPal, and no permanent free plan, though there is a free trial.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, the "We'll build it for you" option lets you describe what you want built: a program, a check-in flow, a sales page for a leadership offer, a website or an email sequence. You can attach reference links and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented; gaps such as credentials or prices are left for you to fill. One recent example: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more in our guide to the free white-glove service.

Coachful Create page with the We will build it for you card
The Create page in Coachful with the card that requests a free white-glove build.

Price: Coachful uses flat monthly plans; lower plans cap the number of clients and Pro is unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Team plans add coach seats for associate coaches. See how it fits executive work on the Coachful for executive coaches page.

Pick it over the others if you want one branded app where executives get goals, check-ins, habits, programs, messages and cohorts, and one back office where you book, bill and keep agreements.

2. Mighty Networks: a strong pick for leadership cohorts

Mighty Networks homepage promoting its community, courses and events platform
Mighty Networks' homepage in October 2026.

Mighty Networks is a community, course and events platform, and members use Mighty-branded apps to take part. For an executive coach running a leadership development cohort, that is a real strength: participants can join discussions, attend livestreams and work through course content on their phones in one community space.

The client experience

Clients join your network, see posts, courses and events, and can talk with peers. Livestreaming is included: 20 hours a month for up to 100 attendees on Launch, 30 hours for 200 attendees on Scale. Your own branded app (under your name in the stores) is only available on custom-priced Mighty Pro; below that, members use Mighty's app.

What is missing for 1:1 executive work

Mighty Networks documents no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. That means the private side of an executive engagement (the goals only you and the client see, the weekly reflection, the session agreement) has to live somewhere else. Many coaches who choose Mighty pair it with a scheduler, a payment tool and a document tool, and clients end up with more than one login.

Pricing, as listed in October 2026

  • Launch: $95/mo ($79/mo annual), 3 hosts, 200 GB.
  • Scale: $215/mo ($179/mo annual), 5 hosts, 500 GB.
  • Growth: $354/mo billed annually, 10 hosts, 1 TB.
  • Mighty Pro: custom pricing.

Mighty also charges a platform fee on sales: 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing. A 14-day trial with no card is available. Trustpilot shows 3.3 from 219 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if your practice is mostly large cohorts where peer discussion and livestreams matter more than private 1:1 accountability, and you already run booking and billing elsewhere.

3. Circle: for alumni networks and paid peer groups

Circle homepage promoting its community platform with courses and events
Circle's homepage in October 2026.

Circle suits executive coaches whose business includes a paid peer community, such as a network of former clients or a membership for senior women leaders. It combines community spaces with courses, events, live streams and paid memberships.

How members use it day to day

Members move between spaces, join events and work through courses. For a peer group of CFOs or first-time CEOs, that structure works well: a space for each topic, a monthly live session, a resource library. Branded mobile apps are reserved for custom-priced Circle Plus, so check what your members would install on the plan you can afford.

Gaps for coaching engagements

Circle's documented scope has no 1:1 scheduling or client management back office and no per-client habits, check-ins or coaching plans. For an executive client paying for individual coaching, there is nowhere native to hold their private goals or session notes, so you would add other tools.

Cost and fees

As listed in October 2026: Professional $89/mo billed annually (3 admins), Business $199/mo billed annually, Scale $419/mo billed annually, and Circle Plus at custom pricing. Monthly prices were not listed in our data. Circle takes a fee on payments of 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus, plus Stripe processing. There is a 14-day trial without a card. Trustpilot shows 4.1 from 129 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if the product you sell is the community itself, with many members and topic spaces, and individual coaching is a small, separate part of your business. For more on this category, see our page on community platforms for coaches.

4. CoachAccountable: detailed plans, but no native app

CoachAccountable homepage promoting its coaching management back office
CoachAccountable's homepage in October 2026.

CoachAccountable is a long-standing coaching back office with sessions, action plans, metrics, worksheets, courses, invoicing and agreements. It is a direct substitute for a coaching platform, and many executive coaches like its structured accountability. The catch for this article is the client side: its older profile lists no native mobile app, so clients use the web portal in a phone browser.

Strengths for executive clients

Action plans and metrics map well to executive goals. You can set a metric such as "one-to-ones held with direct reports this week", ask the client to log it, and review the trend in session. Worksheets cover pre-session preparation. Public reviewers rate it highly: Trustpilot shows 4.8 from 47 reviews.

Weaknesses on the phone

Without a native app, there is no app icon on the client's home screen and no app store install. A leader who answers everything from a phone will feel the friction. CoachAccountable's older profile also lists no landing pages, website or marketing automation, and the vendor states it is not HIPAA compliant.

Price per active client

Pricing is per active client, as listed in October 2026: Starter $20/mo (2 active clients), Level 1 $40/mo (5), Level 2 $70/mo (10), Level 3 $120/mo (20), Level 4 $250/mo (50), Level 5 $400/mo (100). There is a 30-day trial with no card. Per-client pricing gets expensive once you run group programs. If you are weighing a switch, see our list of CoachAccountable alternatives.

Pick it over Coachful if you work with a small number of 1:1 clients who are comfortable in a browser, and you want metric-heavy action plans more than a phone app, community or website.

5. Kajabi: for coaches who sell leadership courses at scale

Kajabi homepage promoting its platform for courses, communities and websites
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi is a platform for selling knowledge products: courses, communities, a website, funnels and email marketing. Some executive coaches use it when their business is half coaching and half a leadership course or membership sold to a wide audience.

What buyers see after they log in

Clients access courses and the community you build. We could not verify Kajabi's current mobile app details from its own pages for this article, so confirm what your clients would install and use before you promise a phone experience. Kajabi documents no habit tracking or daily client check-ins; coaching is structured as products and communities, not per-client plans.

What Kajabi charges

Plans as listed in October 2026:

  • Basic: $179/mo ($143/mo annual), 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 0 AI credits.
  • Growth: $249/mo ($199/mo annual), 50 products, 25,000 contacts.
  • Pro: $499/mo ($399/mo annual), unlimited products, 100,000 contacts.

Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic down to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Using another processor (other than PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 0.5% to 2%. The standard trial is 14 days. Trustpilot shows 3.4 from 2,347 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if your main revenue is a leadership course sold to thousands of buyers, and individual executive coaching is a small premium tier on top.

What does a week in the Coachful app look like for one executive client?

Here is a walkthrough for an illustrative client, Dana, a newly promoted chief operating officer in month two of a six-month engagement. The name and details are an example.

A client community feed on a phone and the coaching flows library on a monitor in an office
Coachful's client community feed and the coach's check-in flows library (demo data) on a phone and monitor.

Monday, 6:45. Dana opens the app on the train. The morning check-in asks three things you set up: energy from 1 to 5, the leadership behaviour for the week ("listen first in the exec team meeting"), and one decision they want to delegate. It takes under two minutes.

Tuesday. After the exec team meeting they tick the habit "asked two questions before giving my view". The streak counter moves to four days.

Growing Habits dashboard with habit tracker cards and progress counts
The client's habits view in Coachful, with active habits and progress counts such as 12 of 30 days (demo data).

Wednesday. A board pre-read lands. They open this week's lesson in the program, a short piece you wrote on framing trade-offs for directors, and mark it complete. Later they send you a direct message: "Chair wants a view on the restructure by Friday. Can we use ten minutes on Thursday?" You reply and offer a short session through your booking page, which detects their time zone because they are in another city that day.

Client Programs view with an enrolled group program and its current week
The client's Programs view in Coachful, showing an enrolled group program, its current week and members (demo data).

Thursday. They are in a small cohort of three new COOs you coach together. The cohort group was created automatically when they enrolled, so they post a question about running the first operating review and a peer replies before lunch.

Client community feed with a live Q&A and coach posts
The client community feed in Coachful, with a live Q&A and coach posts (demo data).

Friday evening. The evening check-in asks what they would do differently this week. They write two lines. On their goal page, the progress bar for "build an operating rhythm the team owns" moves forward because two linked tasks are done.

Next Monday, before the session. You ask Michelle for a briefing. It draws on the client record, including the week's check-ins, habits and open tasks, so you start the session with "you delegated the forecast; how did that feel?" instead of "so, how was your week?" Dana never had to open email, a separate course site or a community site to get there.

To see the client journey from the coach's side, this walkthrough shows how flows are assembled:

What does each app cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Executive coaches tend to have fewer clients at higher fees, then add cohorts as the practice grows. The table uses monthly list prices as listed in October 2026 and adds only the plan cost. Platform fees on sales and payment processing are extra where noted. These are examples of plan selection, so confirm with each vendor.

Tool5 clients15 clients40 clientsExtra fees
CoachfulLite: $29/month for up to 5 clientsSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsPro: $99/month with unlimited clients0% platform fee; Stripe or Razorpay processing only

Kajabi$179/mo (Basic)$179/mo (Basic)$179/mo (Basic)Kajabi Payments 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic

Two things stand out. Community tools look flat across client counts, but they do not include 1:1 scheduling, billing or agreements, so the real stack cost is higher once you add those. CoachAccountable is cheap at 5 clients and climbs quickly with each tier, which is worth modelling if you plan to add cohorts. To compare the coach side of these costs, see the overview of coaching software.

What red flags and switching costs should you watch for?

The biggest risk is choosing a client app your executives will not open, then discovering it six months into an engagement. Watch for these common mistakes and the costs they create later.

  • Two logins for one client. If private coaching lives in one tool and the cohort lives in another, clients lose track of where things are. Count the logins a client needs before you buy.
  • "Branded app" that is only branded on an enterprise plan. Mighty Networks and Circle reserve their own branded apps for custom-priced plans. Ask what the client installs on the plan you will actually pay for.
  • No native app for clients who live on their phones. A browser portal can work, but it adds friction for leaders who expect a tap from the home screen.
  • Per-client pricing that punishes cohorts. A 12-person leadership cohort on a per-active-client plan can move you up two tiers overnight.
  • Platform fees on every sale. 0.5% to 2% sounds small until you sell a six-figure corporate engagement through it.
  • Data you cannot take with you. Executive notes and reflections are the most sensitive part of your practice. Before you commit, check what the export contains. Coachful exports the full client record (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses) as a ZIP, plus course export.
  • Confidentiality without a plan. When a sponsor pays, agree in writing what they see (attendance, themes) and what stays private (reflections, notes). Put it in the coaching agreement before session one.

Switching costs are mostly time: rebuilding programs, moving client histories and re-inviting clients. During onboarding, Coachful imports clients, programs and content for you, and the white-glove team can rebuild a program or check-in flow, which takes most of that weight off a busy practice. If you are coming from a tool built for different work, our guides to the best client check-in apps and the best apps for team coaches cover related situations.

What is Coachful, in short?

Coachful is a coaching platform with one subscription for booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login; the client has one branded app on iPhone and Android. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, and for solo coaches growing into a small team. It does not offer HIPAA certification, PayPal, a permanent free plan, your own App Store listing or CRM integrations with Salesforce or HubSpot. To start, take the free trial and ask the team for a free white-glove build of your first program or check-in flow.

Which app should executive coaches choose?

Choose Coachful if your clients pay for change between sessions as well as during them. It is the only tool in this list that puts goals, daily check-ins, habits, programs, messages and cohorts in one branded phone app connected to booking, billing and agreements. Choose Mighty Networks or Circle when the community itself is the product. Choose CoachAccountable for metric-heavy 1:1 plans with browser-happy clients. Choose Kajabi when you sell courses to many people and coaching is a premium tier. If you coach founders and business owners too, the Coachful for business coaches page shows the same app in that context, and the high performance coaches guide covers a neighbouring niche.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best app for executive coaches in 2026?

For most executive coaches, Coachful is the best fit, because clients get goals, check-ins, habits, programs, messages and cohorts in one branded app on iPhone and Android. The same account runs booking, payments and agreements. Community-first tools such as Mighty Networks and Circle suit cohort-heavy practices that run 1:1 work elsewhere.

Does Coachful give me my own app in the App Store?

No. Clients install the Coachful app on iPhone or Android and see your branding inside it. You do not need your own developer account, app review or maintenance. If you must have your own store listing, budget for a custom or enterprise app instead.

Which of these tools have no native mobile app?

Among the five, CoachAccountable has no native mobile app according to its older profile, so clients use a mobile browser. We could not verify Kajabi's current app details for this article. Mighty Networks and Circle reserve their own branded apps for custom-priced plans.

Can executives keep reflections private from their company sponsor?

That depends on what you agree, not only on the software. In Coachful, check-ins, notes and messages sit on the client record that you control. Agree with the sponsor in your coaching agreement what they will see, such as attendance or themes, and keep the rest between you and the client.

Do executive clients actually use daily check-ins?

They are more likely to when the check-in is short and on their phone. Keep morning and evening check-ins to two or three questions tied to the behaviour you are working on. Review the answers in session, so the client sees they matter.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a free build service on every plan. You describe what you want, such as a program, check-in flow, website or sales page, attach reference links and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.

Can I run leadership cohorts in Coachful?

Yes. When clients enrol in a program, Coachful creates a cohort group automatically, with a community feed, group chat and video events. You can run group calls and webinars from the same account. See group coaching software for more.

Does Coachful integrate with Salesforce or HubSpot?

No. Coachful has no Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no multi-stage deal board for large sales teams. It connects with Google, Apple and Outlook calendars, Zoom, Meet, Teams, Stripe, Razorpay, Zapier, Meta Pixel and GA4.

Can I track ICF coaching hours from executive clients?

Yes. Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours. Check the ICF's current requirements before you apply.

How do I start with Coachful?

Start the free trial, then use the "We'll build it for you" option to request your first program or check-in flow. Invite one or two clients, ask for their feedback after a week, and adjust before you roll it out to everyone (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).
