10 Best Course Platforms for Wellness Coaches (2026 Guide)

10 Best Course Platforms for Wellness Coaches (2026 Guide)

The best course platforms for wellness coaches do more than host videos. A wellness course only works if a client actually sleeps earlier, breathes before the 3 p.m. slump or walks after dinner, so the deciding question is this: does the platform carry the lesson into the client's day with habits, check-ins and a group to report back to, or does it stop at "Lesson 4 complete"? Most course tools were built for the second job. A few handle the first.

Our pick is Coachful, because it puts the course, the daily habits, the check-ins, the community, the booking page and the checkout behind one login, and it shows the client all of it in one branded app. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the "Pick it over Coachful if..." line at the end of every other entry. Below you will find a five-question checklist, a table that maps your answers to a pick, ten ranked platforms, the monthly cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients, and the red flags that make switching expensive later.

What do wellness coaches need from a course platform?

They need a place to teach that also supports behaviour change between lessons, plus a clean way to sell the next step. A generic course host covers the teaching. The rest is where wellness practices differ from someone selling a photography course.

Look at what a typical wellness offer contains. A six-week stress reset might hold short video lessons, a guided breathing audio for each morning, a printable sleep log, a weekly group call and an optional 1:1 upgrade. A corporate wellness client wants the same material delivered to a cohort of 20 employees at once. A self-paced "habits that stick" mini course feeds people into a 12-week program. If you are still deciding what you teach versus what you coach, our guide on what health and wellness coaching is and the comparison of wellness coaches and health coaches help define the scope first.

From that, five needs keep coming up:

  • Daily practice tools. Habit trackers, morning and evening check-ins and streaks, because a meditation lesson is worthless if nobody meditates on day three.
  • Formats beyond video. Audio for guided practices, PDFs for meal prep or sleep logs, worksheets for reflection, and short quizzes.
  • A group layer. Cohorts, a community feed and live calls, since accountability is often what the client is paying for.
  • A path to coaching. Booking, payment plans and an upgrade offer inside the same place, so a course buyer can become a coaching client without a new account.
  • Clear scope. Wellness coaching is not medical treatment, therapy or dietetics. Your course should say so, and you need a habit of referring clients to a doctor, therapist or registered dietitian when they mention symptoms, medications, disordered eating or a diagnosed condition.

That last point affects software too. If you work under a clinic or handle protected health information for a covered entity, you may need a vendor that signs a business associate agreement. Most course platforms in this list, Coachful included, are not built for that.

Which five questions should you answer before choosing?

Answer these about your own practice, honestly, before you look at feature lists. Each one rules out several platforms.

  1. Will clients practise something daily between lessons? If yes, you need habits and check-ins built in, not a separate app.
  2. Do you sell coaching (1:1 or group) alongside the course? If yes, booking, contracts and payment plans should sit next to the course.
  3. Is the course the main product, sold to hundreds of people you will never speak to? If yes, a pure course storefront with big student caps can make sense.
  4. Do you need HIPAA-grade handling because you work under or for a clinic? If yes, choose a practitioner system that offers it and keep the course elsewhere if needed.
  5. How many paying clients do you have, and what can you spend each month? Under 10 clients and a tight budget points to a different answer than 40 clients and a team.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

How did we rank these course platforms for wellness coaches?

We did not run hands-on tests of every tool. Rankings come from what each vendor documents on its pricing and product pages (as listed in October 2026), public reviewer ratings, and our September 2026 vendor profiles where noted. We weighted four things that matter most to wellness coaches: how much of the client journey sits behind one login, how well the platform supports practice between sessions, the total monthly cost of the stack you would actually need, and how much setup work it takes to go live.

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery (habits, check-ins, community), total stack cost, and setup effort.

1. Coachful: where a wellness course becomes a daily routine

Coachful is a coaching platform where courses, multi-week programs, habits, check-ins, community, booking, payments, a website and email live under one subscription. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than isolated sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six separate tools. For wellness coaches, the point is that the client opens one branded app and finds today's lesson, today's habit and this week's group call in the same place.

Lessons with practice attached

Courses in Coachful have modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, and you can add downloads, videos, books, AI tools and events, or group them into bundles. If you are starting from a blank page, there are 48 course templates with quizzes and more than 40 ready-to-film program templates. The difference from a pure course host is what surrounds the lesson. A multi-week program can carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. So "Week 2: wind-down routine" can come with a nightly screen-off habit and an evening check-in asking how it went.

On your side, each client record collects goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, and shows a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. That status is what tells you which participant in a 20-person stress course has gone silent in week three, so you can send a note before they drop out.

Groups, cohorts and live calls

Wellness courses often run in cohorts. When a client enrolls in a program, Coachful creates the cohort group automatically, with a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. Group calls and webinars run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. That suits a corporate wellness cohort or a seasonal reset as well as an evergreen course with a monthly live Q&A. Our cohort course design guide covers the structure, and the group coaching software page shows the group tools.

Selling the course and the coaching after it

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with Stripe Tax. Since August 2026 there is no Coachful platform fee on sales, only the processor's fees. The section-based website builder has 30 designed homepage templates, a blog and a custom domain, and you can build lead-magnet, booking, application and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with branching cover the "free 5-day sleep reset" that leads into the paid course. When a course buyer wants 1:1 support, they book from the same account, with intake questions, calendar sync and reminders. Our wellness coach website guide shows how to structure that path.

Wellness coaches who also work on food or movement can add the Fitness & Nutrition pack: nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup with barcode scanning, workout builder, private progress photos and measurements, and weekly check-ins. You attach your own demo videos; there are no stock exercise videos. See the Fitness & Nutrition pack for the full list.

Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data. She can build a program draft from your outline, write emails and lesson copy, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before a call. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

The walkthrough below shows how a program is put together, from weeks and tasks to what the client sees:

Price and limits

Plans are flat monthly. Lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, team plans add coach seats, and monthly plans cancel in one click (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). There is a free trial but no permanent free plan.

Be clear about what it does not do. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available, so step counts and sleep scores come from what clients enter. There is no PayPal. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. It is not a course marketplace, so it will not send you buyers. Coachful holds a Trustpilot rating of 4.5 from 21 reviews.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", and describe what you want: a course outline and written lesson material, a program, a website, a lead-magnet funnel, a sales page, an email sequence, a form or worksheet, or a webinar. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. Recording videos, logo design and ad management are not included. One recent build: a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. Read more about how the white-glove service works.

2. Kajabi: is it worth the price for a wellness course business?

Kajabi is worth it when the course and community are the business and you already have an audience to sell to. It combines courses, a community, a website, funnels and email in one product.

Kajabi homepage as it appeared in October 2026, with its main headline and sign-up button
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

For a wellness coach, Kajabi suits a signature course such as a 10-module "calm nervous system" program sold through webinars and email sequences to a list of several thousand. The community space gives buyers somewhere to share wins, and the funnels handle the launch. Where it falls short is between lessons: Kajabi has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and coaching is delivered as products or communities rather than per-client plans. You would add a separate habit app or run accountability by hand in the community.

As listed in October 2026, Basic costs $179 per month ($143 billed annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and no AI credits. Growth is $249 per month ($199 annually) with 50 products, 25,000 contacts and 500 AI credits. Pro is $499 per month ($399 annually). Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic; using another processor adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. The 14-day trial does not require a card, but if you enter one Kajabi places an authorization hold, and some features such as bulk contact import stay locked until you pay. Kajabi's Trustpilot rating was 3.4 from 2,347 reviews when we checked.

The limit that bites wellness coaches is the 5-product cap on Basic: a mini course, a signature course, a meditation library, a workbook and a membership already fill it.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is a large audience buying courses and a community, coaching is a small add-on, and you do not need habits or check-ins inside the platform.

3. LearnWorlds: the strongest pure course builder here?

For course depth alone, yes. LearnWorlds is an LMS with a website builder, funnels, SCORM support and interactive video, which makes it good for structured wellness education where lessons include questions inside the video.

LearnWorlds pricing page with plan cards in euros
LearnWorlds's pricing page in October 2026 (it shows euro prices).

Think of a workplace wellbeing provider selling a self-paced "healthy desk habits" course to companies, or a coach who wants learners to answer a reflection question at minute three of a breathing lesson. LearnWorlds handles that well, and SCORM matters if a corporate client wants to load your course into their own learning system. What it does not do is client management: it is not built for 1:1 work, habits or daily check-ins, so coaching runs elsewhere.

Plans and the per-enrollment fee

As listed in October 2026, Starter is $29 per month ($24 annually) with 1 admin and 1,000 active learners per month, plus a $5 fee per paid enrollment. Pro Trainer is $99 per month ($79 annually) with 5 admins, 2,000 active learners, 20 SCORM packages, 15 page funnels and 2,000 mass emails per month, with no LearnWorlds fee on sales. Learning Center is $299 per month ($249 annually). Stripe or PayPal gateway fees of 2.9% + $0.30 apply. The 30-day trial needs no card, but the school is scheduled for deletion if you do not upgrade. A branded mobile app is a separately priced add-on. LearnWorlds holds a Trustpilot rating of 4.8 from 423 reviews.

The $5 enrollment fee adds up quickly on a low-priced wellness mini course, so most coaches selling more than a handful of courses a month end up on Pro Trainer.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell self-paced wellness courses to organisations that need SCORM or interactive video, and you do not deliver ongoing coaching to the same learners.

4. Podia: the simplest way to sell a first wellness course?

Podia is a simple storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and a community. Its appeal is that a wellness coach can put up a course, a PDF meal-prep guide and a paid session in an afternoon.

Podia homepage as it appeared in October 2026, with its main headline and sign-up button
Podia's homepage in October 2026.

A yoga or mindfulness coach selling a "30 days of five-minute practices" course and a printable journal will find Podia easy to run. The downside appears once clients need ongoing support. As of our September 2026 profile, Podia had no mobile app and no native video calls, and it has no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. The email allowances are also small for anyone building a list around a free challenge.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Mover is $49 per month ($42 annually) with 50 products, 500 videos, 25 community spaces and 100 email subscribers included, and Podia takes a 5% transaction fee. Shaker is $99 per month ($84 annually) with 150 products, 500 email subscribers, one assistant and no Podia fee. Earthquaker is $179 per month ($150 annually) with unlimited products and 1,000 email subscribers. Stripe or PayPal processing (2.9% + 30¢ standard) applies on top. The 14-day trial needs no card. Podia's Trustpilot rating was 4.1 from 153 reviews.

Watch the 100 included subscribers on Mover. A single free "sleep better in 7 days" email series can pass that in a week.

Pick it over Coachful if you only want to sell a couple of self-paced products and downloads, with no daily client tracking and no booking workflow.

5. Practice Better: when your wellness work sits close to clinical care

Practice Better is a practice management system for health and wellness practitioners, with booking, telehealth, forms, journals and programs. It ranks here because it fits coaches who work alongside dietitians, naturopaths or clinics and need a stricter privacy posture than a course platform offers.

Practice Better homepage as it appeared in October 2026, with its main headline and sign-up button
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Its pricing page (fetched October 25, 2026) describes HIPAA-compliant telehealth video and secure messaging, daily food and lifestyle journals, nutrient, water and weight goals, protocols and lifestyle recommendations, forms and waivers, invoices and recurring payments, and a public booking page. That is a strong fit for 1:1 wellness work with clinical overlap. Course delivery is narrower: self-paced and evergreen programs, portal branding and a personalized URL appear only from the Plus plan up. We did not see a website builder or sales funnels on its pricing page, so check how you would market a course before committing.

What each tier costs

Sprout is free for students and recent graduates with up to 3 clients. Starter is $35 per month ($25 annually); its plan card lists 1 practitioner license and 10 clients, while another description on the same page says up to 30 clients and 2 licenses, so confirm the limit before you sign up. Professional is $69 per month ($59 annually) with 300 clients. Plus is $99 per month ($89 annually) with unlimited clients, self-paced programs and 750 SMS reminders a month. Team is $155 per month ($145 annually) with 2 practitioner licenses and more at $50 each. Paid plans have a 14-day trial, and Team has 30 days. The page did not list payment processing rates.

Pick it over Coachful if you need HIPAA-compliant handling, work under or beside a clinic, or chart food journals like a practitioner, and courses are a minor part of what you sell.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

6. Thinkific: built for volume, not for daily check-ins

Thinkific is a course platform with communities, memberships and webinar products, designed for selling courses at scale. Even the entry plan allows 10,000 current students.

Thinkific homepage as it appeared in October 2026, with its main headline and sign-up button
Thinkific's homepage in October 2026.

That headroom matters for a wellness coach who sells an evergreen course through ads or partnerships, or licenses a stress management course to employers. Live community events and group sizes are capped per plan, which affects group calls. For 1:1 coaching, our September 2026 profile found no built-in scheduling; coaching relied on external booking links. There are no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans.

As listed in October 2026, Start is $109 per month ($82 annually) with 2 admins, 1 community with 10 spaces, 5 live community events, 200 GB of video bandwidth a month and a maximum group size of 50. Grow is $219 per month ($164 annually) and Expand is $499 per month ($374 annually). Prices rose by about 10% on August 13, 2026. There is no Thinkific transaction fee with Thinkific Payments, which charges around 2.9%; third-party gateways carry an extra fee the page does not list. A branded mobile app costs $199 per month on top. The 30-day trial covers every self-serve plan. Thinkific's Trustpilot rating was 1.8 from 868 reviews, the lowest in this list.

Pick it over Coachful if you expect thousands of course students, want a classic course storefront, and plan to keep coaching and daily accountability in other tools.

7. Teachable: good for courses and downloads, light on coaching

Teachable sells courses and digital products and gives students mobile apps. It is a reasonable home for a wellness coach whose catalogue is a few courses plus downloadable guides.

Teachable homepage as it appeared in October 2026, with its main headline and sign-up button
Teachable's homepage in October 2026.

A breathwork or sleep coach could sell a core course, a set of guided audios and a printable tracker here. The gaps show up around coaching: per our September 2026 profile, there is no native scheduling or calendar sync, so calls rely on Calendly or Zoom, and there are no client habits, daily check-ins or per-client plans.

As listed in October 2026, Starter is $39 per month ($29 annually) with 5 products and a 7.5% platform fee. Builder is $89 per month ($69 annually) with 10 products and no platform fee, and Growth is $189 per month ($139 annually) with 50 products and 5 admins. Teachable Payments charges 2.9% + 30¢ on US cards and 3.9% + 30¢ internationally, with a $15 chargeback fee. Plan cards show a 7-day trial plus a 30-day guarantee. Teachable's Trustpilot rating was 3.3 from 1,110 reviews.

As an example, on a $97 wellness course the Starter fee takes about $7.28 per sale before processing, so Builder pays for itself at roughly seven sales a month.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell only courses and downloads, want student mobile apps from a course-only company, and handle any coaching through outside tools.

8. Systeme.io: the cheapest way to test a wellness mini course

Systeme.io is a low-cost marketing suite with funnels, email, courses, a community, a blog and an affiliate program. Its permanent free plan makes it the lowest-risk place to test whether anyone will buy your first mini course.

Systeme.io homepage as it appeared in October 2026, with its main headline and sign-up button
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

A new wellness coach can build a free "morning routine" lead magnet, an email sequence and one paid mini course without paying a platform fee. Systeme.io charges 0% transaction fees on all plans, including the free one. The trade-off is depth: our September 2026 profile notes basic course and community features, no branded mobile app, and no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins.

As listed in October 2026, the Free plan includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course, 500 students, 1 automation rule and 1 custom domain. Startup is $17 per month with 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 5 courses. Webinar is $47 per month and Unlimited is $97 per month. No card is required to start. Systeme.io's Trustpilot rating was 4.9 from 8,696 reviews.

The single automation rule on the free plan is the limit you will hit first when you want buyers tagged and moved into a follow-up sequence. For course structure, see how to create a mini course that leads to coaching.

Pick it over Coachful if you are validating your first wellness offer on almost no budget and do not yet need programs, habits, booking or client records.

9. Kartra: a marketing suite that also hosts courses

Kartra is an all-in-one marketing suite with pages, funnels, email and SMS, memberships, calendars and a helpdesk. Wellness coaches who run launch-style promotions with many pages and sequences are the natural fit.

Kartra homepage as it appeared in October 2026, with its main headline and sign-up button
Kartra's homepage in October 2026.

If your plan is a quarterly "21-day reset" challenge with a sales page, an SMS reminder sequence and a membership area, Kartra can host all of it. It has no client habits, check-ins or per-client coaching plans, and our September 2026 profile recorded no mobile app for students and funnels and memberships that are not portable to other platforms.

As listed in October 2026, Essentials is $59 per month ($52 annually) with 500 contacts, 5 pages, 1 product, 1 membership or course, 10,000 emails a month and a 5% transaction fee. Starter is $119 per month ($99 annually) with 2,500 contacts, unlimited pages, products and memberships, unlimited email and SMS, 5 team members and no transaction fee. Growth is $229 per month ($189 annually) and Professional is $549 per month ($429 annually). There is a 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Kartra's Trustpilot rating was 3.2 from 129 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if your business runs on frequent launches with heavy email and SMS marketing, and course buyers do not need daily practice tracking or 1:1 coaching inside the platform.

10. Stan Store: selling straight from your social bio

Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls. Wellness creators who sell mostly through Instagram or TikTok use it because a follower can buy in two taps.

Stan Store homepage as it appeared in October 2026, with its main headline and sign-up button
Stan Store's homepage in October 2026.

A recipe e-book, a short "gut-friendly meal prep" course and a paid 30-minute call fit well. Everything past the sale sits elsewhere: Stan Store has no contracts, invoices or client records, no programs with client tasks, habits or check-ins, and it does not advertise team seats.

As listed in October 2026, Creator is $29 per month ($25 annually) and Creator Pro is $99 per month ($79 annually), both with unlimited products and customers. Email marketing, upsells, discount codes and affiliates are only on Creator Pro. Stan takes no transaction fee; Stripe or PayPal processing applies. The 14-day trial converts to a paid month when it ends. Stan Store's Trustpilot rating was 4.7 from 2,205 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if your audience lives on social media, you sell small digital products and occasional calls, and you have no plans for programs or ongoing client tracking.

What does each platform cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

These are monthly list prices as of October 2026, billed monthly, for the plan a wellness coach would realistically need at each size. Processing fees are extra everywhere. The figures are illustrative: course platforms mostly price by products and contacts rather than clients, so the "what you still need" column matters as much as the number.

Platform5 clients15 clients40 clientsWhat you still need to add
CoachfulLite: $29/month for up to 5 clientsSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsPro: $99/month with unlimited clientsNothing for course, habits, booking, payments, site and email
Kajabi$179 (Basic)$179$179Habit tracking and check-ins; booking if you coach 1:1
LearnWorlds$54 (Starter + 5 paid enrollments)$99 (Pro Trainer)$99Booking, habits, client records
Podia$49 + 5% (Mover)$99 (Shaker)$99Video calls, habits, larger email list
Practice Better$99 (Plus, for self-paced programs)$99$99Check website and funnel options
Thinkific$109 (Start)$109$109Booking, habits; branded app is $199 extra
Teachable$39 + 7.5% (Starter)$89 (Builder)$89Booking, calendar sync, habits

Kartra$59 + 5% (Essentials)$119 (Starter)$119Habits, client app
Stan Store$29 (Creator)$99 (Creator Pro, for email)$99Course depth, client records, habits, contracts

Two patterns stand out. Low entry prices often come with a percentage fee, which grows with your sales. And every course-only tool leaves you buying booking, habit tracking or client records elsewhere, so the real monthly bill is the sum of two or three subscriptions. Practice Better needs Plus for self-paced programs even at five clients if courses are part of your offer.

How would a wellness coach set this up in Coachful?

Here is an example setup for a six-week "Stress Reset" group course with an optional 1:1 upgrade. The names and structure are illustrative.

  1. Request the build. Open Create, choose the white-glove option, and describe the course: six weekly themes (breath, sleep, movement, food rhythm, boundaries, maintenance), your existing workbook PDF and your brand colours. The team drafts the outline and written lesson material in your account.
  2. Record and add lessons. Film short videos for each module, add a guided breathing audio and the printable sleep log, and set lessons to drip weekly.
  3. Attach daily practice. Add a morning breathing habit, a nightly screen-off habit and morning and evening check-ins, so clients log mood and sleep each day.
  4. Set up the cohort. Wrap the course in a program; enrollment creates the cohort group automatically. Schedule a weekly group call with a built-in video link.
  5. Write your scope line. Add a short statement to the welcome lesson and the coaching agreement: this is coaching, not medical or psychological treatment, and clients should speak to their doctor about symptoms or medication. Send the agreement for e-signature before the first call.
  6. Build the sales path. Create a lead-magnet funnel for a free three-day breathing mini series, connect an email sequence, and add a checkout with a payment plan and an order bump for a 1:1 kickoff session.
  7. Watch the client list. Each week, filter clients marked quiet or at risk and send a direct message before the next lesson unlocks.

What red flags and switching costs should wellness coaches watch for?

The most expensive mistake is choosing on entry price and then rebuilding a year later. Check these before you commit.

  • Percentage fees on entry plans. Teachable Starter (7.5%), Podia Mover (5%) and Kartra Essentials (5%) take a cut of every sale; LearnWorlds Starter adds $5 per paid enrollment. Run the numbers at your expected monthly sales.
  • Caps that collide with wellness offers. Kajabi Basic's 5 products, Podia Mover's 100 email subscribers and Kartra Essentials' 500 contacts are all easy to hit with a free challenge and a small library of guided audios.
  • Add-ons that change the math. Thinkific's branded app is $199 per month extra, and LearnWorlds prices its app separately.
  • Portability. Our September 2026 profile noted that Kartra funnels and memberships are not portable to other platforms. Before you build, check whether you can export students, progress and content. Coachful exports full client data (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) as a ZIP and exports courses.
  • Health claims and testimonials. Wellness marketing is full of before-and-after results. The FTC's Endorsement Guides say testimonials must reflect honest opinions and that exceptional results need proof they are typical, or a clear statement of what people generally achieve.
  • Email rules. Course funnels run on email. The FTC's CAN-SPAM compliance guide requires a working opt-out, honoured within 10 business days, and a valid postal address in commercial email, whatever platform sends it.
  • Privacy fit. If intake forms collect detailed health histories for a clinic, choose a vendor that offers HIPAA-grade handling instead of retrofitting a course tool.

Moving platforms costs more than the subscription. Expect to re-upload videos, rebuild sales pages, reconnect payment subscriptions and ask clients to log in somewhere new. Our guides to white-label client portals for wellness coaches and membership platforms for coaches cover what to check during a move.

What is the verdict?

For most wellness coaches, the course is a means to a habit change, not the product in itself. That is why Coachful ranks first: lessons, daily habits, check-ins, cohorts, booking, payments and a website sit behind one login, clients use one branded app, and the free white-glove build removes most of the setup work. Choose Kajabi or Thinkific if you sell courses at audience scale, LearnWorlds for interactive or SCORM-based courses sold to organisations, Practice Better if your work sits close to clinical care, and Systeme.io or Podia if you are testing a first mini course on a small budget. Whatever you pick, put a scope line in your welcome lesson and know which professional you will refer to. Frequently asked questions

What is the best course platform for wellness coaches?

Coachful is our pick for wellness coaches who teach and coach, because it combines courses with habits, check-ins, community, booking and payments in one client app. If you only sell self-paced courses to a large audience, Kajabi or Thinkific may suit you better. If you need HIPAA-compliant handling, look at Practice Better.

Can I run a wellness course and 1:1 coaching on the same platform?

Yes, but only a few platforms here do both well. Coachful and Practice Better combine booking and client records with programs. Course-first tools like Teachable and Thinkific usually need a separate booking tool for 1:1 calls.

Do I need a HIPAA-compliant platform for a wellness course?

Most independent wellness coaches who are not working for a covered entity are not bound by HIPAA, but rules vary, so check with an attorney if you handle health data for a clinic or insurer. If you do need it, choose a vendor that offers a business associate agreement. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA.

Which platform is cheapest for a first wellness mini course?

Systeme.io has a permanent free plan with one course and 500 students, as listed in October 2026. Stan Store and LearnWorlds Starter start at $29 per month, though LearnWorlds adds $5 per paid enrollment. Low entry prices usually mean you pay for booking and habit tracking elsewhere.

Can clients track habits like sleep, water or meditation inside the course?

In Coachful, yes: programs carry habits, daily tasks, morning and evening check-ins and streaks, and clients log them in the app. Practice Better offers food and lifestyle journals and water goals. The other course platforms in this list do not include habit tracking.

Does Coachful sync with wearables like Apple Health, Fitbit or Oura?

No. Coachful does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. Clients enter data such as sleep or steps through check-ins and habits.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build things inside your account: a course outline and written material, a program, a website, a funnel, an email sequence, a form or a webinar page. You describe it, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the build usually arrives within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.

How should I handle scope in a wellness course?

State in your welcome lesson and coaching agreement that coaching is not medical, psychological or nutritional treatment. Refer clients to a doctor, therapist or registered dietitian if they mention symptoms, medications, disordered eating or a diagnosed condition. Avoid promising health outcomes in sales copy.

Can I sell my wellness course to companies for employee wellbeing?

Yes. LearnWorlds supports SCORM, which some employers need to load courses into their own systems. In Coachful, enrolling a company's employees in a program creates a cohort group automatically, and you can run group calls for that cohort.

How do I start with Coachful?

Start a free trial, then use the white-glove service to have your first course outline, program or website built in your account. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding if you are moving from another tool.
