Best Website Builder for Business Coaches: Top 5 for 2026

Best Website Builder for Business Coaches: Top 5 for 2026

The best website builder for business coaches is the one that turns a stranger into a booked discovery call, a signed agreement and a paid client without you stitching five tools together. Business coaches sell trust to owners who are busy and sceptical, so the site has to show proof, qualify leads, book the call, take a deposit or a payment plan and then hand the new client somewhere to log in. Design freedom matters, but it matters less than that chain.

Our pick is Coachful, because its website, funnels, booking, checkout, agreements and client portal run on one account with one login. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the sections below where we say plainly when Squarespace, Wix, Kajabi or WordPress.com is the better fit. The general design builders give you more layout control and a plugin or app market; Coachful is not built for sites that are not coaching businesses.

If you want the broader category view first, our guide to platforms to build a coaching website covers twelve options for every kind of coach. This article narrows it to people who coach founders, owners and small teams.

What do business coaches need from a website builder?

A business coach needs a site that qualifies prospects and moves them into a paid engagement, not just a pretty brochure. The client journey is longer and more considered than in most coaching niches, and the website carries most of the early weight.

A typical business coaching journey looks like this:

  1. Proof first. An owner lands from LinkedIn, a podcast or a referral. They look for who you have helped, what changed, and whether you understand their stage (solo founder, 10-person agency, family business).
  2. A low-risk next step. A scorecard, a growth audit checklist, a webinar or a short email course. This is a lead-magnet funnel, and it feeds an email sequence.
  3. An application or discovery call. Most business coaches do not want anyone to book a call. They want intake questions first: revenue band, team size, the problem in their own words.
  4. A proposal and an agreement. A 6 or 12-month engagement usually needs a coaching agreement with scope, confidentiality and cancellation terms, signed before session one.
  5. Payment that matches the offer. Monthly retainers, paid-in-full with a discount, or a payment plan. Some coaches add a paid strategy day or a workshop as an order bump.
  6. Delivery and visibility. Session notes, action items, maybe a mastermind group or a course on pricing or hiring. Clients want one place to find it all.

Three things make this niche different from, say, a mindset or wellness coach. First, buyers expect a blog or articles that show you think clearly about business, so SEO settings and a real blog matter. Second, offers are higher-ticket and often recurring, so checkout flexibility (subscriptions, plans, coupons, tax handling) carries real money. Third, scope creep is common: owners drift into asking for consulting, legal or tax answers. Your site and agreement should state what coaching covers and when you refer them to an accountant or attorney.

One compliance note: if your site shows client results or testimonials, the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements applies to how you present them, including income or revenue claims. Do not publish a result you cannot back up. Our article on how to build a business coach website owners trust goes deeper on page-by-page content.

Which website builder should a business coach pick? Quick picks

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, booking and checkout without add-ons, funnels and lead capture, blog and SEO, between-session delivery, total monthly stack cost, and setup effort (including a free done-for-you build).

Vendor prices are as listed in October 2026 and may change. Showit is a fair alternative for coaches who care most about visual design; we cover it briefly in the verdict rather than with its own section, because it has no native booking or payments.

How did we choose and rank these builders?

We ranked each tool on what it documents for the business coach journey above, using vendor pricing pages and help documentation as listed in October 2026, plus public review summaries. We did not run paid accounts on every tool, so treat feature notes as what each vendor states.

  • Booking and qualification: can a prospect answer intake questions and book a call on the same site, with calendar sync and reminders?
  • Checkout: subscriptions, payment plans, coupons and order bumps, and what platform fee sits on top of card processing.
  • Funnels and email: lead magnets, landing pages, sequences, tracking pixels.
  • Blog and SEO: a real blog, custom domain and editable SEO settings.
  • Client login: somewhere for a paying client to find sessions, notes, tasks and courses.
  • Total stack cost: the builder plus every add-on you would need to cover the list above.

Design freedom counted, but only as a tie-breaker. A beautiful site that hands every prospect off to three other tools tends to lose leads at each handoff.

1. Coachful: best overall for business coaches

Wins when: you sell 1:1 engagements, a group program or a mastermind and want the site, the sales path and the client experience to live in one account.

A laptop showing a funnels list and a tablet showing intake call metrics on a meeting room table
Coachful's funnels list on a laptop and its intakes page on a tablet, with demo data.

Coachful is a coaching platform with a section-based website builder inside it. One subscription covers the website and blog, funnels, booking, payments, coaching agreements with e-signature, programs, courses, a community, email marketing and an AI assistant called Michelle. You log in once; your client logs in once to a branded home and app. That is the core argument for a business coach: the owner who reads your article, downloads your scorecard, applies for a call and pays for a 6-month engagement never leaves your brand or your system.

The site itself

The builder gives you 30 designed homepage templates, a blog, a custom domain and SEO settings per page. Several templates suit business coaching (Meridian, Ledger, Northstar and Atelier lean corporate and editorial). There is also an Import website option if you already have a site elsewhere. See the coach website builder page for the full list of sections.

Funnels, booking and checkout

This is where Coachful separates from general builders. You can build booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels, with Meta Pixel, GA4 and UTM tracking, from about 25 funnel templates. A typical business coach setup: a "Growth Scorecard" lead magnet feeding an email sequence, then an application funnel that asks revenue band and team size before showing the calendar.

Coachful's funnels page with three demo funnels: a free webinar, a lead magnet and a program launch.

Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Calls can run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled. Intake questions sit on the booking form itself.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Each transaction gets an invoice, and you can send manual invoices for a strategy day. More on that in our guide to invoicing software for business coaches.

Agreements and the client side

Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record (see coaching contracts). After that, the client record holds goals, check-ins, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. For business clients that means a 90-day goal with weekly tasks and a short weekly check-in, rather than an email thread you search later.

Courses (with drip and completion tracking), downloads, a community feed, group chat and video events sit in the same client home. Cohort groups are created automatically when someone enrolls in a program, which suits masterminds. If you hold an ICF credential, Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports a client coaching log; see ICF hour tracking.

Here is a short walkthrough of the website builder:

The setup help

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, "We'll build it for you · FREE", you describe the website, funnel, sales page, program or email sequence you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logo, brand guide, existing copy), and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent example: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Another: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Details are on the white-glove service page.

Where it falls short

  • It is not a general website builder: no third-party plugins, and not for non-coaching sites. Squarespace, Wix, Showit and WordPress give you more general design freedom.
  • No PayPal, and no permanent free plan (there is a free trial).
  • No multi-stage sales deal board for large teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration, which matters if you sell into firms with a formal pipeline.
  • No routing forms that pick a host from form answers; multi-coach session types use round-robin or least-busy assignment instead.
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not your own App Store account.

Price: flat monthly plans, with lower plans capped by client count, Pro unlimited, and team plans adding seats (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Monthly plans cancel in one click.

2. Squarespace: best for an editorial, design-led brand

Squarespace wins for the business coach whose brand is the product: a consultant-style site with strong typography, case-study pages and a clean blog, where you are happy to add booking separately.

Squarespace homepage as it appeared on desktop in October 2026
Squarespace's homepage in October 2026.

It is a general website builder with selling built in, and its Core plan is pitched at service businesses. The templates are a genuine strength for business coaches who want to look like a boutique firm rather than a solopreneur. You can sell services, courses, memberships and subscriptions natively, and the Contacts panel stores subscribers and customers.

Plans as listed in October 2026:

  • Basic: $25/mo, or $19/mo billed annually. 2% online store transaction fee; 7% fee on digital content and memberships.
  • Core: $39/mo, or $29/mo billed annually. 0% store fee; 5% fee on digital content and memberships.
  • Plus: $65/mo, or $49/mo billed annually. 1% fee on digital content and memberships.
  • Advanced: $139/mo, or $99/mo billed annually. 0% on digital content and memberships.

There is no free plan; every site starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required, but trial sites cannot be exported.

The booking catch. Online booking needs Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription listed at $16 to $55/mo billed annually, added to the site with the Scheduling block. Acuity brings intake forms, reminders, packages and memberships, so the qualification step is covered, but it is a second account with its own settings. Squarespace does not list coaching agreements with e-signature, per-client goals or check-ins, so those come from more tools again.

Watch the percentage fees. If you sell a course or paid membership area for founders on Basic or Core, the 7% or 5% Squarespace fee sits on top of card processing. On a high-ticket program that adds up quickly; work it out before you choose a plan.

Public reviews put Squarespace at 3.5 on Trustpilot from 6,313 reviews (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if your site is mainly a portfolio and thought-leadership blog, your calendar is the only tool you need beyond it, and you value fine design control over having agreements, payments and the client portal in one login.

3. Wix: best for flexible layouts with bookings in one plan

For the business coach who wants total drag-and-drop control and booking in the same subscription, Wix is the strongest general builder here.

Wix homepage as it appeared on desktop in October 2026
Wix's homepage in October 2026.

Wix Bookings ("Scheduling and services") is included from the Core plan. It handles appointments and classes with online payment. The Pricing Plans app sells memberships, session packages and subscriptions that can include bookings or programs, which maps well to a monthly retainer. The Online Programs app runs step-by-step courses, programs and challenges, and paid programs need a payment-enabled plan. Wix also has a Contacts CRM with segments and its own email marketing.

Wix pricing page listing its Premium plans
Wix's pricing page in October 2026.

Plans as listed in October 2026 (annual billing; monthly prices were not shown):

  • Light: $17/mo. Cannot accept payments, so not useful for selling.
  • Core: $29/mo. Bookings included; 50 GB storage; 5 collaborators.
  • Business: $39/mo. 100 GB storage; 10 collaborators.
  • Business Elite: $159/mo. Unlimited storage; 100 collaborators.

A free site exists with Wix branding and no custom domain. There is no free trial of Premium plans, only a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first upgrade. Wix lists no platform commission on sales; US Wix Payments processing is 2.9% + $0.30 per online card transaction.

Limits for this niche: the pieces are apps that you connect and configure one by one, and the client experience is spread across bookings, plans and programs rather than one client record with goals, notes and check-ins. Wix does not list e-signed coaching agreements. Its Trustpilot score is 3.4 from 29,316 reviews (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if you want pixel-level layout freedom, an app market to extend the site, and booking plus packages in a single plan, and you are fine running agreements and client follow-up somewhere else.

4. Kajabi: best when courses and community drive revenue

Kajabi suits the business coach who has moved toward a "one to many" model: a flagship course on hiring or pricing, a paid community and webinars, with 1:1 work as the premium tier.

Kajabi homepage as it appeared on desktop in October 2026
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

It is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. The website and funnels are capable, email is built in, and the product structure suits a library of business courses.

Prices as listed in October 2026:

  • Basic: $179/mo, or $143/mo billed annually. 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 website, 0 AI credits.
  • Growth: $249/mo, or $199/mo billed annually. 50 products, 25,000 contacts.
  • Pro: $499/mo, or $399/mo billed annually. Unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 websites.

Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, dropping on higher plans. Using a provider other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal adds a Kajabi fee of 2% (Basic), 1% (Growth) or 0.5% (Pro). The standard trial is 14 days.

What it does not do for 1:1 business coaching: Kajabi has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and coaching is organised as products and communities rather than per-client plans. We did not verify the details of its 1:1 booking for this article, so check that against your discovery-call flow before buying. The Basic plan's 2,500-contact cap can also bite once your lead magnet works. Trustpilot shows 3.4 from 2,347 reviews (seen October 2026).

Business coaches tend to land here for the course engine, then find themselves paying the entry price of a platform built for creators with thousands of buyers. If your course is a side offer, that is a lot of monthly cost for one product. Our list of course platforms for business coaches compares cheaper options.

Pick it over Coachful if most of your revenue already comes from courses and a community with hundreds of members, and 1:1 coaching is a small add-on you can run with a separate calendar tool.

5. WordPress.com: best for content-heavy coaches who want plugins

Writing is how some business coaches win clients: long articles on cash flow, delegation and pricing that rank in search and get shared. WordPress.com is the pick for them.

WordPress.com homepage as it appeared on desktop in October 2026
WordPress.com's homepage in October 2026.

It is hosted WordPress, so you get the most mature blogging editor on this list and access to the plugin ecosystem. Booking, courses and membership features come from plugins, which can be installed on any paid plan from Personal. A built-in newsletter with unlimited subscribers and paid subscriptions with content gating come on every plan.

Plans as listed in October 2026, with the WordPress.com fee on paid subscriptions and payments:

  • Free: $0, WordPress.com subdomain, ads shown, 10% fee.
  • Personal: $9/mo, or $4/mo billed annually; 8% fee.
  • Premium: $18/mo, or $8/mo billed annually; 4% fee; payment buttons start here.
  • Business: $40/mo, or $25/mo billed annually; 2% fee; 0% on standard WooCommerce payments.
  • Commerce: $70/mo, or $45/mo billed annually; 0% fee.

Stripe processing applies on top. Refunds are available within 14 days on annual plans and 7 days on monthly plans.

The trade-off is assembly. A business coach needs a booking plugin, an intake form, an e-signature tool, a payments setup and some kind of client area. Each plugin has its own pricing, updates and support, and the costs are not on the WordPress.com pricing page, so budget for them separately. Trustpilot shows 3.8 from 4,204 reviews (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if SEO content is your main acquisition channel, you are comfortable maintaining plugins, and you want full control over how the blog is structured and extended.

How do the five builders compare feature by feature?

What does each builder cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Client count changes the bill on Coachful's capped plans; on the general builders, it is the add-ons and percentage fees that grow. Figures below are monthly, billed annually where the vendor shows that, as listed in October 2026, and exclude card processing.

What do three real-world stacks cost per month?

The cleaner comparison is the whole stack a business coach runs, not the builder alone. These are illustrative examples built from listed prices; your add-on choices will change the totals.

Stack A: the all-in-one business coach

A solo coach with 15 active 1:1 clients and a small group program. Website, blog, scorecard funnel, application booking, agreements, payment plans, email sequences and client portal all run in one account (Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients), plus Stripe processing. The website itself can be built for you by the white-glove team.

Stack B: the design-led brand

Squarespace Core at $29/mo billed annually, plus Acuity Scheduling at $16 to $55/mo billed annually, plus an e-signature tool and an email automation tool at their own prices. Realistically $45 to $84/mo before the e-signature and email tools, with four logins and no shared client record. Selling a course here adds a 5% Squarespace fee on Core.

Stack C: the content-led coach

WordPress.com Business at $25/mo billed annually, a booking plugin, a forms plugin, an e-signature tool and a membership or LMS plugin. The base is cheap, but plugin licences vary and are not listed on the WordPress.com pricing page, so we do not total it. Expect to spend some hours each month on updates.

How would a business coach set this up in Coachful?

Here is a worked example for a fictional coach who helps agency owners grow from 5 to 20 staff. The names and offers are examples.

  1. Request the site. Open Create, choose "We'll build it for you", pick Website, and describe the offer: a 6-month "Agency Scale" engagement, a free hiring scorecard and a monthly mastermind. Attach your logo, LinkedIn profile and any existing copy.
  2. Review the template. When the build lands in your account, check the Home, About, Work With Me, Results and Contact pages. Replace placeholders the team left for real case studies; they will not invent them.
  3. Turn on the blog. Set SEO titles and descriptions per page and publish two or three articles you already have on LinkedIn.
  4. Build the lead magnet funnel. Start from a lead-magnet funnel template, attach the scorecard as a download, add your Meta Pixel and GA4, and connect it to a five-email sequence that ends with an invitation to apply.
  5. Build the application funnel. Add intake questions (revenue band, team size, biggest bottleneck) to the booking page, set a 48-hour minimum notice and 15-minute buffers, and sync your Google or Outlook calendar.
  6. Create the offer. Set up the engagement as a payment plan and a paid-in-full option with a coupon, and add a strategy day as an order bump. Connect your Stripe account and turn on Stripe Tax if it applies.
  7. Attach the agreement. Upload your coaching agreement so it goes out for e-signature before the first call. Include a scope line: coaching does not replace legal, tax or accounting advice, and you will refer to an accountant or attorney when a question needs one.
  8. Prepare delivery. Build a program with a 90-day goal, weekly tasks and a weekly check-in, and turn on the cohort group for mastermind members. Ask Michelle to draft the welcome email; confirmed builds use AI credits.

The Coachful for business coaches page shows how these pieces fit together for this niche.

What mistakes do business coaches make when choosing a website builder?

The most expensive mistake is choosing on looks alone and then paying for, and maintaining, the four tools the site cannot do.

  • Letting anyone book a call. Without intake questions, your calendar fills with people who cannot afford the engagement. Pick a builder where the booking form asks qualifying questions.
  • Ignoring percentage fees. A 5% or 7% fee on a course or membership is easy to miss on the pricing page and expensive at business-coaching prices.
  • Skipping the agreement. Business clients test scope. A signed agreement before session one saves awkward conversations later. See coaching contracts for what to cover.
  • Publishing results you cannot support. Revenue claims in testimonials fall under endorsement rules. Use real, permitted quotes.
  • No blog. Owners research before they buy. A site with no articles gives them nothing to judge your thinking by.
  • Leaving clients in email. Notes, action items and recordings scattered across inboxes make a 6-month engagement feel unstructured, and it shows at renewal time.

What is our verdict?

For most business coaches, Coachful is the best website builder, because the site is connected to booking, checkout, agreements, email and the client's login, with a 0% platform fee and a free white-glove build to get you live. Squarespace is the pick for a design-led brand willing to add Acuity. Wix gives the most layout freedom with bookings in one plan. Kajabi fits coaches whose revenue is mainly courses and community. WordPress.com fits writers who want plugins and full blog control.

Showit deserves a mention for visual designers: it starts at $22/mo billed annually (no blog) as listed in October 2026, but it does not process payments or offer native booking, so business coaches end up embedding other tools. If you are still weighing a coaching platform rather than a site builder, read our buying guide to coaching software for business coaches or the list of coaching software with a website builder.

In short: Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, from solo practices to small teams. It covers the website, funnels, booking, payments, agreements, programs, courses, community and email in one login. It does not build non-coaching sites, offer PayPal or support third-party plugins. Frequently asked questions

What is the best website builder for business coaches?

Coachful is our pick, because the website connects directly to booking with intake questions, checkout, e-signed agreements, email sequences and a client login. Squarespace and Wix are better if pure design freedom matters most. We make Coachful, so compare the sections above against your own client journey.

Is Squarespace good for business coaches?

It is good for the site itself: templates and typography are strong. Booking needs Acuity Scheduling as a separate subscription, and digital content and memberships carry a Squarespace fee of 7%, 5% or 1% on Basic, Core and Plus. Agreements and client delivery need other tools.

Can Wix handle booking and payments for coaching?

Yes, from the Core plan at $29/mo billed annually, Wix Bookings handles appointments with online payment, and the Pricing Plans app sells packages and subscriptions. The Light plan cannot accept payments. E-signed agreements are not listed.

Is Kajabi worth it for a business coach?

It is worth it when courses and a paid community bring in most of your revenue. For a mostly 1:1 practice, the Basic plan at $143/mo billed annually, with no habit tracking or per-client check-ins, is a lot to pay for a site and a few products.

Do I need a blog on my business coaching website?

Most business coaches benefit from one. Owners research before hiring a coach, and articles on pricing, hiring or cash flow show how you think. Choose a builder with a real blog and editable SEO settings.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

From Create, you request a build (website, funnel, sales page, program, email sequence and more), attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It is free on every plan. It does not include video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.

Can I move my existing website to Coachful?

Yes. The builder has an Import website option, and the white-glove team can rebuild your homepage and key pages from your current site. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.

Does Coachful take a cut of my sales?

No. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee since August 2026; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing through your own account. Plan prices are flat and monthly (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).

Can I use Coachful for a non-coaching website?

No. Coachful is built for coaching businesses and has no third-party plugins. If you need a general business site, an online shop unrelated to coaching or a plugin-driven build, Squarespace, Wix or WordPress.com is a better fit.

Should my website state what business coaching does not cover?

Yes. A short scope line on your Work With Me page and in your agreement helps: coaching does not replace legal, tax or accounting advice, and you will refer clients to an accountant or attorney when they need one. Rules vary by country, so check with an attorney when drafting the agreement.
