Best Website Builder for Career Coaches: 7 Options Ranked

Best Website Builder for Career Coaches: 7 Options Ranked

The best website builder for career coaches is the one that turns a stranger reading about salary negotiation into a booked fit call, a signed agreement and a paid package without sending them through four different logins. Design matters less than you think. A career coaching site lives or dies on whether a mid-career professional, browsing on a lunch break, can download your resume checklist, book a 20-minute call in their own time zone and pay for a three-month package on the same visit.

Our pick is Coachful, because its website is part of the coaching platform: the booking page, checkout, coaching agreement, program and client login all sit behind the same pages your visitors land on. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the honest limits below. Squarespace, Wix, Showit and WordPress give you more general design freedom and plugins, and Coachful is not the right tool if you also want to run a non-coaching site. Below are seven options ranked for career coaches specifically, with prices as listed in October 2026.

What do career coaches need from a website builder?

Career coaches need a site that books discovery calls, captures job seekers with a useful free resource, sells packages with payment plans and ranks for the specific searches their clients type. Everything else is decoration.

The career coaching client journey is unusually time-sensitive. Someone who was laid off on Tuesday wants help this week, not after three emails back and forth about availability. Someone preparing for a promotion conversation has a fixed date on the calendar. That shapes what the website has to do:

  • Fit-call booking on the page itself. A "contact me" form adds a day of email tennis. Career clients often relocate or interview across time zones, so time-zone detection and buffers between calls matter more than in most niches.
  • Intake questions before the call. Current role, target role, timeline and whether they are employed right now. Those four answers decide whether the call is a fit before you spend 20 minutes on it.
  • Lead magnets that match the search. A LinkedIn headline checklist, a salary negotiation script, a "first 90 days in a new role" worksheet. Job seekers search for these things and will trade an email address for them.
  • Checkout with payment plans. People between jobs are cash-conscious. Splitting a package into instalments often decides the sale.
  • A blog that can rank. Career searches are specific: "how to explain a career gap", "career change at 40", "how to negotiate a counteroffer". A blog with clean SEO settings is a long-term pipeline.
  • A client login after the sale. Resume drafts, mock interview notes, weekly application targets and networking goals need a home that is not a scattered inbox.
  • Scope clarity. Career coaches are not recruiters. The site should say plainly that you help people prepare and decide, not that you place them in jobs.

If you want the wider software picture for this niche, our guide to the best software for career coaches covers booking, CRM and delivery tools beyond the website.

Which website builders made the list?

Ranked by how well each one gets a career coach booked and paid: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort, including the free white-glove build.

How did we choose and rank these builders?

We scored each builder on what moves a career coaching practice forward, using vendor pricing pages and documentation as listed in October 2026 and public review scores. We did not run hands-on tests; this is a documentation and pricing review.

  1. Booking and intake. Can a visitor book a fit call on the site, in their time zone, and answer intake questions first?
  2. Checkout. Packages, subscriptions, payment plans and coupons, and what fee the platform adds on top of card processing.
  3. Lead capture and funnels. Lead-magnet pages, application funnels for higher-ticket packages and email follow-up.
  4. Blog and SEO. A blog, custom domain and SEO settings.
  5. Client login. Somewhere for the client to see sessions, documents, goals and weekly targets after they pay.
  6. Total stack cost. The builder plus the scheduler, email tool and client portal you would need to add.
  7. Setup effort. How much a busy coach has to build alone.

Design freedom counts, but a beautiful site that hands visitors to a separate scheduler, a separate checkout and an email inbox loses career clients at every handoff.

1. Coachful: the website is the front door to the whole practice

Coachful ranks first because its website builder is not a separate product. The pages you publish sit on top of the booking, payments, agreements, programs, community and email that run your practice, so a visitor who books a fit call is already a contact with a record, and a client who pays lands in a branded client home with their sessions, documents and program.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions. One subscription covers a section-based website with a blog, booking, payments, coaching agreements, multi-week programs with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, funnels, email and Michelle, the built-in AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client has one branded app. It suits solo career coaches replacing four to six tools and small practices adding coaches. It does not do: general websites for non-coaching businesses, third-party plugins, PayPal, HIPAA-covered clinical records, or Salesforce and HubSpot integrations. You start with a free trial, and the Coachful team will build your site for you at no cost.

The site itself

The builder is section-based rather than free-form drag-and-drop. You pick from 30 designed homepage templates, add pages such as About, Work With Me, Results and Contact, connect a custom domain and set SEO titles and descriptions per page. There is a blog for the career-change and negotiation articles that bring in search traffic, and an Import website option if you are moving from another builder. A link-in-bio page that sells covers the LinkedIn and Instagram profile link.

Coachful's website builder with demo pages: Home, About, Work With Me, Results, Contact and a legal page, each listed with its section count.

Here is a short walkthrough of the website builder:

Booking, intake and checkout on the same pages

Booking pages support availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Calls can run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. You can add intake questions to the booking (current role, target role, timeline), and reminders go out by email, plus SMS 24 hours and WhatsApp one hour before the call once messaging is enabled. That last one matters for job seekers juggling interviews.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time packages, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps (a LinkedIn profile rewrite added to a resume package, for example), coupons, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. A coaching agreement with e-signature goes out before the first call and is stored on the client record; see coaching contracts.

Funnels for lead magnets and applications

Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels come with Meta Pixel, GA4 and UTM tracking, and about 25 funnel templates. For a career coach, the usual pair is a lead-magnet funnel (a free interview prep checklist) feeding an email sequence, and an application funnel for a premium executive transition package. Sequences support triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits, all included in your Coachful membership.

After the sale: the client login

This is where a standalone website builder stops and Coachful keeps going. Clients get a branded home inside the Coachful app with sessions, documents and their program. You can run a multi-week job search program with weekly goals (applications sent, networking conversations booked), daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins and progress bars. The client record holds goals, check-ins, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you notice the client who went silent after a rejection. If you hold or are working toward an ICF credential, ICF hour tracking counts hours and clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create > We'll build it for you · FREE, or the "Want us to build it for you?" card on the Website page, you describe the site you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logo, headshot, resume-style bio, brand guide, copy), and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent build was for a leadership coach whose Squarespace renewal was days away; they got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. The service also covers funnels, sales pages, programs and email sequences, but not video recording, logo design or ad management. Details are in our white-glove service guide.

Honest limits. Squarespace, Wix, Showit and WordPress give you far more general design freedom and plugin ecosystems. Coachful has no third-party plugins and no PayPal, every plan is paid once the trial ends, and the client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than under your own App Store account. Affiliate payouts are recorded manually. Current plans: (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited and monthly plans cancel in one click. Coachful holds a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews. 2. Squarespace: polished design, booking as an add-on

Squarespace is the builder many career coaches start on, and it earns second place on design quality and on selling services natively. Its Core plan is pitched at service businesses, and the templates look credible to the corporate professionals career coaches often serve.

Squarespace homepage with its website builder pitch and template previews
Squarespace's homepage in October 2026.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Basic $25/mo ($19/mo billed annually), Core $39/mo ($29/mo annually), Plus $65/mo ($49/mo annually) and Advanced $139/mo ($99/mo annually). There is no free plan; every site starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required, though trial sites cannot be exported.

For a career coach, the catch is booking. Squarespace does not schedule calls by itself. You add Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription at $16 to $55/mo billed annually, through the Scheduling block. Acuity brings intake forms, reminders, packages and memberships, which covers the fit call and session packages well, but it is a second bill and a second admin panel.

Selling is native: services, courses, memberships and subscriptions. Watch the fee structure. Digital content and memberships carry a Squarespace fee of 7% on Basic, 5% on Core, 1% on Plus and 0% on Advanced, on top of card processing of 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic and Core. If you sell a self-paced "Career Pivot Blueprint" course on Core, 5% of each sale goes to Squarespace before Stripe takes its cut. Online store sales are 0% from Core upward.

What you will not find is a client login with weekly job search targets, check-ins or session notes; clients get receipts and Acuity confirmations, and the coaching work lives elsewhere. Public reviewers give Squarespace 3.5 on Trustpilot from 6,313 reviews (seen October 2026).

Pick it over Coachful if brand presentation is your main concern, you are happy to pay for Acuity alongside it, and your coaching delivery already lives in another tool you like.

3. Wix: the most features in a pure builder

Wix gives career coaches the widest set of built-in apps of any general builder here, including bookings, pricing plans and an online programs app, which brings it closer to a coaching setup than Squarespace without a second subscription.

Wix homepage introducing its drag-and-drop website builder
Wix's homepage in October 2026.

Prices as listed in October 2026 (annual billing; monthly prices were not shown on the captured page): Light $17/mo, Core $29/mo, Business $39/mo and Business Elite $159/mo. A free plan exists with Wix branding and no custom domain. There is no free trial of Premium plans, but there is a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first upgrade.

The plan detail that trips career coaches up: Light cannot accept payments, and Wix Bookings arrives from Core. So the real starting point for a coach who wants paid fit calls or paid strategy sessions is Core at $29/mo billed annually. Bookings handles appointments and classes with online payment, and the Pricing Plans app sells session packages and subscriptions, for example a six-session interview prep bundle.

The Online Programs app runs step-by-step programs and challenges, which you could use for a 30-day job search sprint. Contacts has a CRM with segments, and Wix Email Marketing adds campaigns and automations (200 marketing emails a month on the free tier, per Wix support). Wix lists no platform commission on sales; Wix Payments processing in the US is 2.9% + $0.30 per card transaction, with PayPal available through Wix Payments.

Where it falls short for career coaching is the joined-up client view. Bookings, pricing plans, programs and contacts are separate apps, and there are no coaching agreements with e-signature, habit tracking or client status signals in the listing. Public reviewers give Wix 3.4 on Trustpilot from 29,316 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you want pixel-level drag-and-drop control, may also run a non-coaching site, and are comfortable stitching Wix apps together.

4. Kajabi: built for selling knowledge products

Kajabi sits fourth because it does funnels, email, courses and community in one platform, but it is priced and built for creators selling knowledge products rather than for 1:1 career coaching.

Kajabi homepage presenting its platform for courses, community and knowledge products
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Pricing as listed in October 2026: Basic $179/mo ($143/mo billed annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts and 0 AI credits; Growth $249/mo ($199/mo annually) with 50 products and 25,000 contacts; Pro $499/mo ($399/mo annually) with unlimited products. The standard trial is 14 days. Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, and using another processor (other than PayPal) adds a Kajabi fee of 0.5% to 2% depending on plan.

For a career coach with a signature course, say a self-paced "Land Your Next Role" program with a community and a launch funnel, Kajabi is a strong engine. Website, funnels and email sequences are integrated, and the community gives job seekers peer support between modules.

The limits show up in 1:1 work. Kajabi's listing has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and coaching is structured as products and communities rather than per-client plans. The Basic plan's five-product cap fills quickly once you list a resume review, interview prep package, LinkedIn rewrite, a course and a group program. Fit-call booking and intake sit outside the core feature set, so many coaches add a scheduler. Public reviewers give Kajabi 3.4 on Trustpilot from 2,347 reviews. If you are already on it, our list of Kajabi alternatives for career coaches goes deeper.

Pick it over Coachful if most of your revenue comes from courses and a paid community at scale, and 1:1 coaching is a small add-on rather than the core of the business.

5. WordPress.com: when the blog is the business

WordPress.com is the right shape for career coaches whose growth plan is search: a library of articles on career gaps, counteroffers and industry switches that rank for years. It earns fifth for SEO control and plugins, but nearly every coaching function arrives through a plugin you choose, configure and maintain.

WordPress.com homepage presenting its hosted WordPress plans
WordPress.com's homepage in October 2026.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Free (subdomain, ads, no plugins), Personal $9/mo ($4/mo billed annually), Premium $18/mo ($8/mo annually), Business $40/mo ($25/mo annually) and Commerce $70/mo ($45/mo annually). Plugins can be installed on any paid plan from Personal. No trial is stated; monthly plans can be refunded within 7 days and annual plans within 14.

The fee table matters if you sell through WordPress.com's built-in paid subscriptions and payments: 10% on Free, 8% on Personal, 4% on Premium, 2% on Business and 0% on Commerce, plus Stripe processing. Standard WooCommerce payments are 0% from Business. A career coach selling packages on Personal would hand 8% of each sale to WordPress.com, which makes Business the practical floor for most paid practices.

Booking, courses and memberships all come from plugins. That means you pick a booking plugin, an LMS plugin if you run a group program, and a forms plugin for intake, each with its own pricing (not verified here) and updates. There is a built-in newsletter with unlimited subscribers, and content gating on every plan. There is no client login built around goals, sessions and documents unless you assemble one. Public reviewers give WordPress.com 3.8 on Trustpilot from 4,204 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if organic search is your main channel, you enjoy configuring plugins, and you want full control over themes and SEO tooling.

6. Systeme.io: the low-cost funnel engine

Systeme.io is the cheapest way on this list to run lead-magnet funnels and email for a career coaching business, and it does that well. It ranks sixth because the 1:1 side of career coaching, booking and per-client work, is not what it is built for.

Systeme.io homepage presenting its all-in-one funnel, email and course platform
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Free $0 with 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course and 1 blog; Startup $17/mo with 5,000 contacts and 10 funnels; Webinar $47/mo; Unlimited $97/mo. The free plan never expires and needs no card. Systeme.io charges 0% transaction fees on every plan; you pay only Stripe or PayPal processing.

A career coach could run a full lead pipeline here: a "Salary Negotiation Script" opt-in page, a five-email nurture sequence, a webinar on changing industries and a checkout for a course. There is a blog and an affiliate program, which suits coaches who partner with resume writers or outplacement firms.

The gaps are on the delivery side. Its profile lists no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, so fit calls go through a separate scheduler, and coaching sessions are tracked somewhere else. Community and course features are basic, and there is no branded mobile app. Public reviewers give Systeme.io 4.9 on Trustpilot from 8,696 reviews. Our guide to the cheapest website builders for coaches compares it with other low-cost options.

Pick it over Coachful if you are pre-revenue, mainly need funnels and email, and are willing to run booking and client work in separate tools until you have paying clients.

7. Showit: beautiful pages, everything else embedded

Showit is a drag-and-drop builder aimed at creatives, and it lists Coaching among its target industries. Career coaches with a strong personal brand like the visual control. It comes last because it does not process payments, take bookings or host courses; each of those comes from a tool you embed.

Showit homepage presenting its drag-and-drop website builder for creatives
Showit's homepage in October 2026.

Prices as listed in October 2026: Showit $27/mo ($22/mo billed annually) with no blog; Showit & Basic Starter Blog $34/mo ($27/mo annually) with up to 10,000 blog visits a month and pre-installed plugins only; Showit & Advanced Blog $49/mo ($39/mo annually) with up to 25,000 visits. Blogs run on Showit-hosted WordPress. There is a 14-day free trial without a card, though you cannot connect a domain or blog through WordPress during it.

For a career coach, the stack usually looks like this: Showit for the pages, HoneyBook or Dubsado for booking, contracts and invoices, and a separate email tool. Showit takes no cut of sales because it handles none. Installing WordPress plugins requires Advanced Blog, so a coach who wants a booking or SEO plugin on the blog side is on $39/mo billed annually before adding anything else.

The handoffs are the problem. A job seeker reads your article, clicks "book a call", lands in a different tool's interface, signs a contract in another and pays in a third. Public reviewers give Showit 1.8 on Trustpilot, though from a small sample of 16 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you already run your practice in HoneyBook or Dubsado, visual design is central to your brand, and you only need a front-end site.

How do the features compare?

What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

General builders charge a flat fee regardless of client count, but you add a scheduler and often an email tool; Coachful plans step up with client count and include those pieces. Figures below are list prices as of October 2026, billed annually where noted, and exclude card processing.

How would a career coach set this up in Coachful, step by step?

A typical career coaching site in Coachful takes one homepage, three supporting pages, two funnels and one program. Here is an example setup for a coach who helps mid-career professionals change industries. The names and structure are illustrative; your offers and prices come from your own rate math.

A laptop showing a gallery of website templates on a walnut desk beside career books and a desk lamp
Coachful's website template gallery open on a laptop in a home study.
  1. Request the build or pick a template. Either send a white-glove request with your bio, headshot, LinkedIn URL and a site you admire, or choose a business-style template such as Meridian and edit it yourself.
  2. Write four pages. Home (who you help and the result, with one "book a fit call" button repeated), About (your corporate background and why you coach), Work With Me (each package with outcomes, not hours), and Results (only real, permissioned client words; leave it out until you have them).
  3. Set up the fit call. A free 20-minute session type with 15-minute buffers, 24 hours minimum notice and time-zone detection. Add intake questions: current role, target role or industry, timeline, and "are you currently employed?"
  4. Build a lead-magnet funnel. Offer a "Career Change Readiness Checklist" download. Connect a four-email sequence: the checklist, a story about a common pivot mistake, a short case for structured support, and an invitation to book.
  5. Add an application funnel for your premium executive transition package, so you review answers before offering a call.
  6. Create the checkout. List your core package with a payment plan option, and an order bump for a LinkedIn profile rewrite. Connect your own Stripe account.
  7. Attach the agreement. Upload your coaching agreement (have a lawyer review it) and set it to go out for e-signature before the first session. Include a scope line: you help clients prepare and decide; you do not place them in roles or guarantee offers.
  8. Build the program. An eight-week "Pivot Plan" with weekly goals (target companies listed, informational interviews booked, applications sent), a daily habit of one networking message and a Friday evening check-in.
  9. Start the blog. Publish one article a week on a question your intake answers keep raising, with an SEO title and description, and a link to the checklist.

What mistakes should career coaches avoid with their website?

The most expensive mistake is building a site that looks good and books nobody. These are the specific ones we see in career coaching:

  • A contact form instead of a calendar. Job seekers act fast after a layoff or a bad review. If they cannot book in one visit, they book the next coach they find.
  • Promising outcomes you do not control. "Land your dream job in 30 days" invites refund requests and trust problems. Describe the process and the support, and keep a clear scope line about not being a recruiter.
  • One generic lead magnet. "Free career guide" converts poorly. Match the magnet to a search: a counteroffer script, a career gap explanation template, a 30-60-90 day plan.
  • Ignoring the post-sale experience. Clients in a job search need weekly structure. If the site ends at the receipt, accountability happens in your inbox and slips.
  • Paying for four tools before you have four clients. Builder, scheduler, email tool and portal add up. Count the full stack cost.
  • Burying pricing logic. You do not have to publish prices, but say what each package includes and how long it runs, so the fit call is about fit, not basics.
  • Blogging about everything. Write for the specific people you coach, such as engineers moving into product, or teachers leaving education. Narrow topics rank faster.

For the email side of the funnel, see our guide to email marketing platforms for career coaches.

Which website builder should a career coach choose?

For most career coaches who sell 1:1 packages or group programs, Coachful is the best choice: the site, fit-call booking, intake, checkout, agreements, funnels, email and client login share one login, with a 0% platform fee and a free white-glove build to get the site live. Squarespace is the pick for design-first coaches willing to add Acuity. Wix suits coaches who want drag-and-drop with bookings built in. Kajabi fits course-led businesses, WordPress.com fits search-led ones, Systeme.io is the budget funnel tool, and Showit is a front end for coaches already on HoneyBook or Dubsado.

If you are comparing whole coaching platforms rather than builders, our list of coaching software with a website builder and our guide for coaching software for career coaches go further.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best website builder for career coaches?

For coaches who sell coaching packages and programs, Coachful ranks first because the website, booking, checkout, agreements and client login are one product. If design freedom matters most, Squarespace and Wix are the strongest general builders, though each needs extra tools for coaching delivery.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a done-for-you build included on every plan. You describe the website, funnel or program you want from Create > We'll build it for you, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.

Do career coaches need a blog?

Not on day one, but it is the cheapest long-term source of clients. Career searches are specific and steady, so articles answering questions like career gaps or counteroffers can bring in readers for years. Start with one article a week on questions your intake calls keep raising.

Can I take payment plans for career coaching packages?

Yes in Coachful, through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, alongside subscriptions, coupons and order bumps. On Squarespace or Wix you can sell packages and subscriptions; on Showit you rely on an embedded payment tool.

Is Squarespace good for career coaches?

It is good for presentation and selling services, but booking needs Acuity Scheduling at $16 to $55/mo billed annually on top of the plan, and digital content and memberships carry a 1% to 7% Squarespace fee on plans below Advanced. There is no client portal for ongoing coaching work.

Can I move my existing site to Coachful?

Yes. The website builder has an Import website option, and clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. You can also send your current site as a reference link in a white-glove request and have it rebuilt.

Can I use Coachful for a non-coaching website?

No. Coachful's website is built for coaching practices and has no third-party plugins. If you need a general business site, a store unrelated to coaching or a plugin-heavy setup, a general builder such as WordPress.com or Wix fits better.

Should a career coach website show prices?

It is a judgment call. Many career coaches show what each package includes and how long it runs, then discuss price on the fit call, especially for executive packages. If you publish prices, set them from your hours, target income and client capacity rather than copying another coach.

Do I need a separate scheduling tool?

With Squarespace (Acuity), WordPress.com (a plugin), Systeme.io and Showit, yes. Wix includes Bookings from Core. Coachful includes booking with calendar sync, reminders and intake questions in your Coachful membership.

Is there a free trial?

Coachful offers a free trial, and the white-glove build is free on every plan. Squarespace and Showit offer 14-day trials, Kajabi a 14-day trial, and Wix, WordPress.com and Systeme.io have free plans with limits.
