CoachAccountable vs Kajabi (2026): Which Fits Your Coaching?

If you are weighing coachaccountable vs kajabi, the short version is that they solve different problems. CoachAccountable is a coaching back office: sessions, action plans, metrics, worksheets, agreements and invoices for each client, priced by how many active clients you have. Kajabi is a platform for selling knowledge products: courses, communities, a website, funnels and email, priced by plan tier with limits on products and contacts. Pick CoachAccountable if your income comes from one-to-one coaching relationships you track closely. Pick Kajabi if your income comes from courses and audiences you market to at scale.
Many coaches need both jobs done, which is why this comparison also covers a third option. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that runs client delivery and marketing under one login, so read that section knowing who wrote it. Every vendor price below is as listed on the vendor's own pricing page in October 2026, and nothing here claims hands-on testing: we describe what each company documents and what public reviewers report.
CoachAccountable vs Kajabi: what is the short answer?
CoachAccountable wins for accountability-heavy one-to-one coaching; Kajabi wins for course and community businesses that live on marketing. Neither one covers both sides well on its own.
- You coach 5 to 20 private clients and want to track their actions and metrics between sessions: CoachAccountable fits. It is built around the individual client record.
- You sell a signature course, a membership or a paid community to hundreds of people: Kajabi fits. Its plans cap products and contacts, not clients.
- You run group programs of 30 or more people: CoachAccountable gets expensive because every active participant counts toward your tier. Kajabi handles the volume but has no per-client habits or daily check-ins.
- You want a website, funnels and email in the same place as client delivery: neither fits cleanly. CoachAccountable has no website or marketing automation (per our September 2026 profile), and Kajabi has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins.
- You want one tool for sessions, programs, courses, community and marketing: look at the third option further down.

How do CoachAccountable and Kajabi compare side by side?
The table ranks on four things that matter most to a working coach: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and how much setup you have to do yourself (including whether someone will build it for you). On those criteria Coachful comes first, CoachAccountable second for client work, and Kajabi third for coaching delivery, though Kajabi leads on pure course selling.
| Tool | Built for | Pricing model | Between-session delivery | Website, funnels, email | Courses and community |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions | Flat monthly plans; lower plans cap clients, Pro is unlimited (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients) | Habits, daily tasks, morning and evening check-ins, goals, streaks | Included: website builder, funnels, email sequences | Included: courses with drip, community feed, group chat |
| CoachAccountable | One-to-one coaching back office | Per active client, from $20/month for 2 clients | Action plans, metrics, worksheets | None (September 2026 profile) | Courses yes; no community feed listed |
| Kajabi | Selling courses, communities and digital products | Plan tiers from $179/month, capped by products and contacts | No habit tracking or daily client check-ins | Included: website, unlimited funnels and landing pages, marketing email | Core strength: courses, communities, memberships |
Public ratings point the same way as the feature split. On Trustpilot, as seen in October 2026, CoachAccountable scores 4.8 from 47 reviews and Kajabi scores 3.4 from 2,347 reviews. Kajabi's far larger review count reflects a much bigger customer base, so treat the two scores as signals, not a verdict.
How much do CoachAccountable and Kajabi cost?
CoachAccountable charges by active clients, from $20 a month for 2 up to $4,000 a month for 1,000. Kajabi charges by plan, from $179 a month on Basic ($143 a month billed annually) to $499 on Pro ($399 annually), regardless of how many clients you coach, within contact limits.
CoachAccountable's ladder, as listed in October 2026: 2 active clients for $20, 5 for $40, 10 for $70, 20 for $120, 35 for $200, 50 for $250, 75 for $340, 100 for $400, and so on up to 1,000 for $4,000. Only active clients count, every plan has the full feature set with unlimited coaches and admins, and the page says there are no annual discounts and no add-ons. The free trial is 30 days, with no credit card and no limits.

Kajabi's three public plans, as listed in October 2026:
- Basic: $179 a month or $143 a month annually. 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users, 0 AI credits, unlimited funnels, landing pages and marketing emails.
- Growth: $249 a month or $199 a month annually. 50 products, 25,000 contacts, 11 admin users, 500 AI credits, plus automation and an affiliate program.
- Pro: $499 a month or $399 a month annually. Unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 communities, 3 websites, 26 admin users, 1,000 AI credits. Kajabi's comparison table shows the branded mobile app on Pro.
Kajabi's help center describes a 14-day trial where a card is optional; if you enter one, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges on the day the trial ends, and some features such as bulk contact import and test emails stay locked until you activate a paid plan. Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee. Extra contacts cost $125 a month per 25,000.

What do transaction fees add?
Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 per sale on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. If you use another provider (PayPal excepted), Kajabi adds its own fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro on top of that provider's charges. As an example, $5,000 of monthly sales through an outside processor on Basic would carry an extra $100 Kajabi fee. CoachAccountable's pricing page does not state a platform fee; your processor's fees apply, and its September 2026 profile lists Stripe, Square and PayPal.
What does each cost at your client count?
Here is what a coach pays per month at four practice sizes. Kajabi's price does not change with client numbers, but its Basic plan caps you at 5 products and 2,500 contacts.
| Tool | 5 clients | 10 clients | 20 clients | 50 clients |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients |
| CoachAccountable | $40 | $70 | $120 | $250 |
| Kajabi (Basic, monthly) | $179 | $179 | $179 | $179 |
| Kajabi (Basic, annual) | $143 | $143 | $143 | $143 |
Two things the table does not show. First, CoachAccountable has no website, funnels or marketing email, so a CoachAccountable coach usually pays separately for a site builder and an email tool. Second, Kajabi has no per-client habit tracking or daily check-ins, so a Kajabi coach who runs accountability programs often adds a separate client tool. The true comparison is the full stack, not the sticker price. For a deeper look at the first tool's costs, see our CoachAccountable pricing breakdown.
Which is better for one-to-one coaching and accountability?
CoachAccountable is better for one-to-one coaching. Its whole design centres on the individual client: scheduled sessions, action plans with due dates, metrics the client reports, worksheets and agreements, all on one client record.
That is the reason coaches choose it. A business coach can set a client's weekly revenue metric, assign three actions before the next call, and see at a glance what got done. Our CoachAccountable review covers the workflow in detail. The main trade-off, per our September 2026 profile, is no native mobile app for clients.
Kajabi treats coaching as a product. You can sell a coaching offer and deliver it alongside courses and a community, but Kajabi has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and it does not build per-client plans. A Kajabi coach who wants a client to log a habit every morning needs another tool for it.
For coaches who want accountability without CoachAccountable's per-client ladder, our guide on tracking client habits without CoachAccountable walks through the options.

Scheduling and sessions
CoachAccountable includes session scheduling as part of its back office. Kajabi's pricing material centres on products, communities and funnels rather than one-to-one calendars, so check its current coaching product documentation for how bookings and reminders work before you commit. If your week is mostly private calls, this difference matters more than any course feature.
Which is better for courses, memberships and community?
Kajabi is better for courses and community. It was built to sell knowledge products, and its plans are sized by products, contacts and communities rather than by coaching clients.
On Basic you get 5 products and 1 community; Growth raises that to 50 products; Pro removes the product cap and allows 3 communities and 3 websites. Kajabi's branded mobile app sits on Pro according to its October 2026 comparison table. For coaches whose business is a flagship course plus a paid community, Kajabi's breadth here is the main reason to pay its higher entry price. Our Podia vs Kajabi comparison shows how it stacks up against a lighter course tool.

CoachAccountable includes courses in its feature set, which works for drip-fed material that supports a coaching engagement. It is not positioned as a community platform, and because pricing is per active client, a 200-person course cohort would push you toward the $800-a-month tier for 200 clients. That is the clearest case where CoachAccountable's model works against you.
The group-program math
Take an example coach who runs a 40-person group program four times a year. On CoachAccountable, 40 active participants sit above the 35-client tier, so the coach needs the 50-client tier at $250 a month while the cohort is active. On Kajabi Basic, 40 people fit easily inside 2,500 contacts at $179 a month, but the coach gets no per-participant habits or check-ins. Neither result is ideal for a coach whose program depends on daily follow-through. Our group coaching software page explains how Coachful handles cohorts instead.
Which handles marketing: website, funnels and email?
Kajabi handles marketing; CoachAccountable does not. Kajabi includes a website, unlimited funnels and landing pages, and marketing email on every plan, while CoachAccountable's September 2026 profile lists no landing pages, website or marketing automation.
This is the biggest practical gap between the two. A CoachAccountable coach needs a separate website, a separate email platform and usually a separate booking or sales page tool to attract clients, and then has to move each new client into CoachAccountable. Kajabi keeps attraction and sale in one place, though contact caps (2,500 on Basic, 25,000 on Growth) set how big your list can get before you upgrade or pay $125 a month per extra 25,000.
Kajabi's AI credits also vary by plan: none on Basic, 500 on Growth, 1,000 on Pro, with a $15 top-up for 500 credits marked as coming. If you plan to lean on AI for copy, the Basic plan gives you nothing to work with. For a sharper view of Kajabi's marketing side against a marketing-first rival, see Kajabi vs GoHighLevel.
How do payments, invoices and contracts compare?
CoachAccountable covers invoicing and coaching agreements inside the client record; Kajabi covers checkout and payments for products, with fees that depend on your plan and processor.
CoachAccountable's invoicing and agreements fit a practice that bills clients for packages or monthly retainers and wants a signed agreement on file. Its pricing page lists no add-ons to buy and does not state a platform fee. Kajabi's checkout is built for product sales and subscriptions, with Kajabi Payments, PayPal, or another provider that carries the extra Kajabi fee described above.
Neither tool is the right home for clinical records. CoachAccountable states it is not HIPAA compliant (September 2026 profile), and Kajabi is a marketing and course platform. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified either. If you coach in health and wellness, remember that coaching is not medical treatment: keep to your coaching scope, refer clients to a licensed clinician for diagnosis, medication or anything that looks like a medical or mental-health concern, and keep clinical notes in a clinical system.
What does the client actually experience?
With CoachAccountable, the client logs into a portal to see sessions, action items, metrics and worksheets; with Kajabi, the client logs into course and community areas, with a branded app on Pro. Neither gives the client one place for both private coaching and group content.
In CoachAccountable, the client experience is organised around their own coaching work. According to its own documentation, previous clients keep lifetime access to their records, which is a thoughtful touch for long engagements. The September 2026 profile notes no native mobile app, so clients use the browser on their phones.
In Kajabi, the client experience is organised around what they bought: a course library, a community, maybe a coaching product. That feels natural for a course student and less natural for a one-to-one client who mainly wants to see their next session and this week's actions.
The handover between tools is where clients notice friction. A CoachAccountable coach who markets through a separate website and email tool asks the client to sign up in one place and log in somewhere else. A Kajabi coach who adds a separate accountability tool asks the client to check two apps. Every extra login is a chance for a client to drift.

How do data export and switching compare?
CoachAccountable exports full coaching history per client and supports bulk CSV import; Kajabi exports contacts, subscriptions, sales and members as CSV, but course content has to be downloaded asset by asset.
According to Kajabi's older profile, data is removed 90 days after cancellation, so export before you leave. If you are planning a move from either tool, our CoachAccountable migration guide covers data, payments and timing step by step, and the same checklist applies to a Kajabi exit: export contacts first, move payment subscriptions carefully, then rebuild content.
Which should you pick for your kind of coaching?
Match the tool to where your revenue comes from. Private clients point to CoachAccountable, course and community sales point to Kajabi, and a mix of both points to an all-in-one coaching platform.
| Tool | Best fit | Weak fit | Typical extra tools |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches running programs with habits and check-ins, plus courses, community and a website | Clinical practices needing HIPAA; coaches who only want a course marketplace | Usually none for core coaching and marketing |
| CoachAccountable | Executive and business coaches with a small roster of private clients | Large group programs; coaches who need marketing tools | Website builder, email platform, sales pages |
| Kajabi | Course creators and community owners with a large audience | Accountability coaching with daily client follow-through | Client habit or check-in tool, sometimes a booking tool |
Executive and business coaches
CoachAccountable's metrics and action plans suit leaders working on measurable goals, and its unlimited coaches and admins on every plan help small firms. The price climbs as the roster grows, and you will still need a website. Our CoachAccountable alternatives ranking lists the options if that gap matters.
Course creators and community owners
Kajabi is the stronger pick if your business is mostly product sales to a large list. Budget for Growth if you want automation, affiliates and AI credits, and for Pro if you want the branded app.
Health, fitness and wellness coaches
Neither tool tracks daily habits in a way that serves behaviour-change programs particularly well: CoachAccountable via metrics and actions, Kajabi not at all. If daily check-ins, habits and nutrition targets are the core of your service, compare against our health coach and fitness and nutrition pages.
Coaches who sell both courses and private coaching
This is where the CoachAccountable and Kajabi pairing becomes a two-subscription stack: Kajabi for the course funnel, CoachAccountable for the private clients who upgrade. It works, but you pay for both and your clients cross between two logins.
The third option: where does Coachful fit?
Coachful combines what CoachAccountable does for client delivery with what Kajabi does for courses and marketing, in one subscription and one login. It beats both for coaches who deliver programs, and it is not the right choice in a few specific cases listed below.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client gets one app in the coach's branding (inside the Coachful app). It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews.
Where Coachful beats CoachAccountable
- Daily delivery, not only actions. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks.
- Marketing included. A section-based website builder with blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates; booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels; email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with branching and A/B splits.
- Community. A community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, with cohort groups created automatically when someone enrolls in a program.
- Flat plans. Lower plans cap clients, but Pro is unlimited, so a 40-person cohort does not push you up a per-client ladder (Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients).

Where Coachful beats Kajabi
- Per-client coaching. Each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk and an AI briefing per client.
- Booking built in. Booking pages with availability rules, buffers and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links; reminders by email, plus SMS and WhatsApp once messaging is enabled.
- Contracts before the first call. Coaching agreements with e-signature, stored on the client record.
- No platform fee on sales. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026; only Stripe or Razorpay processing applies.
Courses still come with it: modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, plus downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles, all delivered into the client's branded home. Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered:

Website, funnels and the AI assistant
The website builder includes an Import website option for coaches moving an existing site, and link-in-bio pages that sell. Funnels carry pixels and UTM tracking. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarises recorded sessions, briefs you before sessions and, if you choose, gives private feedback on your coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. Coaches pursuing a credential can also count hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds with ICF hour tracking.

Where Coachful does not beat them
- Clinical work. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
- PayPal. Coachful has no PayPal; Kajabi supports it, and CoachAccountable did as of our September 2026 profile.
- Your own App Store listing. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding. Kajabi's Pro plan offers multiple brands and an App Store app.
- Course marketplace and plugins. Coachful is not a course marketplace, not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, and has no third-party plugins.
- Large sales teams. There is no multi-stage deal board for big teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.
- Affiliate payouts. The affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually rather than sent by Coachful.
- No permanent free plan. There is a free trial, but no free tier.
Pick CoachAccountable over Coachful if you coach a small roster of private clients, need nothing beyond the back office, already have a website and email tool you like, and want a 30-day trial with no card. Pick Kajabi over Coachful if your business is mostly course and community sales to a large list, you want your own App Store app on Pro, or you need PayPal at checkout.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you, describe what you need (a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form or automation) and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos and brand guides. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. As one recent example, a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had their homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. Another, a leadership coach with a website renewal days away, got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more about the free white-glove service.

How to start. Start a free trial, request a white-glove build of your site or first program, and let the team import your clients, programs and content during onboarding. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. Frequently asked questions
Is CoachAccountable cheaper than Kajabi?
For small rosters, yes. CoachAccountable costs $40 a month for 5 active clients and $120 for 20, while Kajabi starts at $179 a month on Basic. Past about 50 active clients CoachAccountable reaches $250 a month and keeps climbing, while Kajabi's price stays flat within its contact limits.
Can Kajabi replace CoachAccountable?
Only partly. Kajabi can sell and deliver coaching as a product, but it has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins and does not build per-client plans. Coaches who rely on action plans and client metrics usually keep a separate tool.
Can CoachAccountable replace Kajabi?
Not for marketing. CoachAccountable includes courses, but its September 2026 profile lists no website, landing pages or marketing automation, so you would still need tools to attract and sell to new clients.
Does either tool charge a transaction fee?
Kajabi adds a 2%, 1% or 0.5% fee by plan when you use a payment provider other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal. CoachAccountable's pricing page does not state a platform fee; your payment processor's normal fees apply.
Which has the better free trial?
CoachAccountable offers 30 days with no credit card and no limits. Kajabi's help center describes a 14-day trial with an optional card, some features locked until you pay, and a 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan.
Do CoachAccountable or Kajabi have a mobile app for clients?
Kajabi's October 2026 comparison table shows its branded mobile app on the Pro plan. CoachAccountable had no native mobile app as of our September 2026 profile, so clients use the browser.
Are CoachAccountable or Kajabi HIPAA compliant?
CoachAccountable states it is not HIPAA compliant (September 2026 profile), and Kajabi is a course and marketing platform, not a clinical system. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified either, so keep clinical records in a dedicated clinical tool.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a done-for-you build included on every plan. You describe a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or similar, attach links and files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.
Can I move from CoachAccountable or Kajabi to Coachful?
Yes. Export your client history from CoachAccountable or your contact and member CSVs from Kajabi, and the Coachful team imports clients, programs and content for you during onboarding. Our migration guide covers the order of steps.
