Satori vs Trainerize (2026): Pricing, Features, Verdict

Satori vs Trainerize (2026): Pricing, Features, Verdict

Satori vs Trainerize is not really a contest between two versions of the same tool. Satori is a coaching back office for life, business and wellness coaches who sell sessions and packages; Trainerize is a personal-training app built around workouts, nutrition tracking and a client phone app. If you coach conversations, Satori fits better. If you coach training plans and macros, Trainerize fits better. If you need both sides, or you want a website, courses and community in the same login, neither covers it alone.

We make Coachful, so we have an interest in this comparison. We have kept the vendor facts to what Satori and Trainerize publish on their own pricing pages and what public reviewers report, dated so you can check them. We have not run hands-on tests of either tool. After the head-to-head, we explain where Coachful beats both and where it does not.

What is the short answer by use case?

Pick by what your clients do between sessions. Here is the quick version before the detail.

  • Life, business, executive or career coach selling 1:1 packages: Satori is the closer fit of the two. It handles scheduling, packages, invoices and contracts, and it does not charge a cut of client payments.
  • Personal trainer or online fitness coach programming workouts: Trainerize is the closer fit. Its core is a workout builder, habit tracking and a client mobile app.
  • Nutrition coach: Trainerize has meal and macro tracking from its Grow plan, with deeper nutrition tools as a paid add-on. Satori has no food or macro tools.
  • Coach studying for an ICF credential: Satori's free Scholar plan and its coaching-log export are aimed at you. Trainerize has nothing comparable.
  • Coach who wants programs, payments, a website, courses and community in one login: neither. That is where a third option, Coachful, comes in, and we cover it below.

How do Satori and Trainerize compare side by side?

The table ranks the three tools on the criteria that decide most coaches' total cost and workload: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort (including a free white-glove build).

The pattern is clear: Satori and Trainerize each cover one half of a coaching business. Satori runs the admin around sessions. Trainerize runs the training between them. For more depth on each tool alone, read our Satori review and our Trainerize review.

How does pricing compare between Satori and Trainerize?

Satori charges a flat monthly fee per tier, capped by active clients. Trainerize charges by client seats and then sells the business features (scheduling, payments, video, advanced nutrition) as add-ons below its studio tier. That difference matters more than the headline prices.

Trainerize Studio PlusFrom $275 ($248 on the plan card)500 clients and up; 5+ locationsContact sales; includes all add-ons and a studio-branded app

Trainerize prices are as listed in October 2026. Its page contradicts itself in places: the plan cards show $9, $23 and $248, while the FAQ says Grow "starts at $10", Pro "starts at $25" and Studio Plus "starts at $275". The monthly and annual labels are worth checking on the day you sign up. Satori's dollar figures did not render on its page when checked this week, so the Satori prices above are as listed in September 2026; its trial, refund terms, fees and the Essentials 10-client cap were confirmed in October 2026. Satori's annual price is "2 months free", so the annual per-month figures are our arithmetic, not printed numbers.

What do the Trainerize add-ons cost?

This is where Trainerize's real price shows up. Below Studio Plus, these are separate, as listed in October 2026:

  • Advanced Nutrition Coaching: $20/month on Grow, Pro 5 and Pro 15; $45/month on Pro 30 to Pro 200.
  • Business (scheduling, referrals, selling products, premium content): $25/month.
  • Video Coaching: $10/month for 50 hours of video calls and 100 hours of streaming.
  • Stripe Integrated Payments: $10/month, with Stripe's own fees on top.
  • Custom Branded App on Pro: $169 one-time setup.
  • FitMetrics: from $6 per client.

What does a real month cost on each?

Here are two worked examples built from the listed numbers. They are illustrations, not quotes, and the Trainerize 15-client figure comes from the older profile.

ScenarioCoachfulSatoriTrainerize
Coachful setupOne plan covers booking, payments, programs and the client appn/an/a
Example A: 10 clients, booked and paid onlineSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsEssentials, $33/monthPro 15 ($50) + Business ($25) + Stripe Payments ($10) = $85/month
Example B: 15 nutrition clients with video callsSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsPro, $49/month, but no food, macro or workout toolsPro 15 ($50) + Advanced Nutrition ($20) + Business ($25) + Stripe Payments ($10) + Video ($10) = $115/month
Example C: 40 clients in group programsPro: $99/month with unlimited clientsPro, $49/month (50 active clients, older profile)Pro 50 ($135, older profile) plus the add-ons you need

On price alone, Satori is cheaper for a coach who only needs admin. Trainerize looks cheap at five clients and climbs once you add business features and grow. Neither price includes a website, email marketing or a course platform, which most coaches then buy separately. For full plan breakdowns see Satori pricing and Trainerize pricing.

Satori's and Trainerize's pricing pages side by side next to a calculator.

Which is better for scheduling and booking?

Satori, because scheduling is part of every paid Satori plan, while Trainerize puts scheduling inside its $25/month Business add-on below Studio Plus.

Satori was built around sessions: discovery calls, package bookings and a client portal where clients see what they have booked. The Essentials plan lists booking discovery sessions as a core feature. The older profile records booking caps by tier (60 on Essentials, 120 on Pro, unlimited on Leader), so a busy 1:1 practice can hit the ceiling on the lower plans. The older profile also reports no native Zoom integration, so you paste your own video links.

Trainerize treats booking as an extra for most coaches. Prospect booking appears among the Studio Plus features, and video calls need the Video Coaching add-on unless you are on Studio Plus. For a trainer who sees clients in person at fixed times, that may be fine. For an online coach whose business runs on calls, it is another line on the bill.

Which handles payments, invoices and contracts better?

Satori does, for coaches. It supports Stripe and PayPal, takes no Satori fee on client payments, and includes invoices and contracts. Trainerize needs the $10/month Stripe Integrated Payments add-on for in-app payments and does not list contracts or e-signature on its pricing page.

If you want PayPal specifically, Satori is the only one of the three in this article that offers it. Trainerize runs payments through Stripe only, and Stripe's own processing fees apply on top of the add-on. Trainerize's Pro tier does include consultation forms and welcome emails, which cover part of the intake job, but not a signed coaching agreement.

Which is better for workouts, habits and nutrition?

Trainerize, clearly. This is its home ground and Satori does not compete here.

Trainerize's free Basic plan already includes workouts, habit and lifestyle coaching and the mobile app. Grow adds the AI Workout Builder, custom programs, meal and macro tracking, and app and wearable integrations. Pro adds custom exercise videos and challenges. The Advanced Nutrition add-on goes further for nutrition coaches. If you programme training blocks and want clients to log sets on their phones, Trainerize was designed for exactly that.

Satori has packages and programs, but its programs are about sessions and resources, not sets, reps and macros. A strength or nutrition coach on Satori would need a second tool for delivery, which defeats much of the point.

A scope note for fitness and nutrition coaches on any of these tools: coaching is not medical care. Clients with chest pain, dizziness on exertion, a recent injury or surgery, pregnancy complications, diagnosed heart, metabolic or kidney conditions, or signs of disordered eating need clearance from a doctor or referral to a registered dietitian or clinician before you programme for them. None of the three tools here is the place for clinical records.

What about websites, courses, community and email?

Neither tool covers them. Trainerize's notes list no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing. Satori's older profile lists no landing pages, courses or community.

Trainerize does give you a Trainerize.me profile from the Grow plan, and Studio Plus adds referral links and prospect booking. Satori gives you booking pages. Beyond that, both assume you run your website, newsletter, course and group space elsewhere. For a coach that usually means three or four more subscriptions and logins, and a client who moves between them. That stack cost is the main reason coaches start looking at alternatives to both; see Satori alternatives and Trainerize alternatives for the wider field.

How do the client experiences compare?

Trainerize gives clients a proper mobile app; Satori gives clients a web portal. That is the biggest everyday difference your clients will notice.

On Trainerize, the client opens an app to see today's workout, log sets, tick off habits, track meals and message the coach. Pro coaches can pay a $169 one-time setup for a custom branded app. On Satori, according to the older profile, there is no native mobile app: clients use a browser portal to book, pay, sign and access package materials. That works well for a coaching client who logs in before a session. It works less well for a client you want to check in with every day.

Public reviews point the same way. Trainerize has a Trustpilot score of 3.1 from 100 reviews (seen October 2026). Satori's Trustpilot page had no reviews when checked; the older profile recorded Capterra 4.5 from 13 reviews. Small review counts say little either way, so treat them as a prompt to run your own trial.

How easy is it to leave each tool?

Plan your exit before you sign up. Trainerize's client data export excludes messages, photos and attachments, per the older profile. Satori offers a coaching-log export for ICF credentialing; a general client-data export was not verified in the older profile. If you are already on one of them, our guides to migrating from Satori and migrating from Trainerize walk through what to export first.

Is there a third option that beats both?

For many coaches, yes: Coachful. It covers what Satori does around sessions and what Trainerize does between them, then adds the website, courses, community and email that neither offers. It is not the right answer for everyone, and we say where below.

What is Coachful?

Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than only sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and has a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews.

Where does Coachful beat Satori?

On everything between sessions. Coachful runs multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Clients get a branded app (your branding inside the Coachful app) instead of a browser portal. Courses with drip and completion tracking, a community feed with group chat and video events, and cohort groups created automatically on program enrollment are all included in your Coachful membership. So are the section-based website builder with 30 designed homepage templates, booking and checkout funnels, and email sequences with branching.

On the admin side Coachful matches Satori's job and goes further: booking pages with buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync; auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links; coaching agreements with e-signature before the first call; and invoices per transaction. Coachful also tracks ICF hours against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours, which covers the reason many coaches pick Satori in the first place. See ICF hour tracking.

Where does Coachful beat Trainerize?

On the business around the training. Scheduling, payments, video sessions and nutrition are not separate add-ons: payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with one-time, subscription and payment-plan options, order bumps, coupons, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026. Only Stripe or Razorpay processing applies.

For the training itself, the Fitness & Nutrition pack includes a workout builder with an illustrated exercise library (supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals, tempo), client workout logging with set history and PRs, nutrition targets down to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins, and private form-check video with timestamped coach comments. You attach your own demo videos.

Where do Satori or Trainerize beat Coachful?

Being honest about the gaps matters more than a tidy verdict. Pick Satori or Trainerize over Coachful if:

  • You need PayPal. Coachful has no PayPal. Satori supports it.
  • You need a permanent free plan. Coachful has a free trial but no permanent free plan. Trainerize Basic (1 client) and Satori Scholar (pro-bono clients while you study) are free.
  • Your clients wear Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura devices and you rely on that data. Coachful has no wearable sync and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. Trainerize lists app and wearable integrations from Grow.
  • You want stock exercise videos. Coachful's exercise library is illustrated and you attach your own videos.
  • You want the client app under your own App Store account. Coachful's client app carries your branding inside the Coachful listing.
  • You run a multi-location gym with 500+ members. Trainerize Studio Plus is built for that scale.
  • You only need session admin for a handful of clients and will never add programs, courses or a website. Satori Essentials may cost less.

Coachful is also not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It has no Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, the white-glove service lets you ask the Coachful team to build things for you inside your own account at no charge. From Create > We'll build it for you · FREE, you describe what you want: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, coaching flow, form, email sequence, lead quiz, event or automation. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and existing copy. The team usually delivers within about 24 hours, and nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover filming videos, logo design or ad management.

Recent anonymized builds include a business mentor for beauty professionals who got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails, and a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away who got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. For a coach leaving Satori or Trainerize, that means your programs and site can be rebuilt for you rather than by you. Clients, programs and content are also imported for you during onboarding. How do you start with Coachful?

Start a free trial, then use the white-glove card to request your website, first program or funnel. Monthly plans are flat, lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add coach seats (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Monthly plans cancel in one click, and you can export your full client data as a ZIP at any time. What is the final verdict on Satori vs Trainerize?

Choose Satori if you are a 1:1 life, business or wellness coach who needs tidy session admin, contracts, invoices and PayPal at a low monthly price, and you are happy to run your delivery, website and marketing elsewhere. Choose Trainerize if you are a personal trainer or gym whose product is the workout and nutrition plan in a client's phone, and you will budget for the add-ons once you sell online.

Choose Coachful if your clients need you between sessions as much as in them, if you want one login for booking, payments, programs, courses, community and your website, and if you would rather have the setup built for you. Coachful is built for life coaches, health coaches and fitness coaches alike, which is exactly the gap between these two tools.

Frequently asked questions

Is Satori or Trainerize cheaper?

For admin only, Satori is usually cheaper: Essentials was listed at $33 a month for up to 10 active paying clients in September 2026. Trainerize starts lower ($25 a month for 5 clients on Pro, as listed in October 2026) but scheduling, payments and video are add-ons below Studio Plus. Once a Trainerize coach adds Business and Stripe Payments, the monthly total for 10 to 15 clients is more than double Satori Essentials in our worked example.

Does Satori have a mobile app like Trainerize?

According to the older profile, Satori has no native mobile app; clients use a web portal. Trainerize is app-first, and Pro coaches can pay a $169 one-time setup for a custom branded app. If daily client engagement on a phone matters to you, that difference is decisive.

Can Satori handle workouts or nutrition plans?

No. Satori's programs are built around sessions, packages and resources, not sets, reps or macros. A fitness or nutrition coach on Satori would need a second app for delivery.

Can Trainerize handle contracts and invoices for life coaches?

Trainerize's pricing page does not list contracts or e-signature, and payments need the $10 a month Stripe add-on. Its consultation forms and welcome emails help with intake, but it is designed for training clients rather than coaching agreements.

Do Satori or Trainerize take a cut of client payments?

Satori states it takes no charge on client payments; standard Stripe and PayPal fees apply. Trainerize charges the Stripe Integrated Payments add-on monthly, and Stripe's processing fees apply on top.

Which has the better free option?

It depends on who you are. Trainerize Basic is free for one client with workouts, habits and the app. Satori Scholar is free with unlimited pro-bono clients, but only for people studying for a coaching certification, by application.

What are the free trials for Satori and Trainerize?

Trainerize offers 30 days free with unlimited clients and no credit card, after which you drop to the free one-client plan; add-ons are not included in the trial. Satori offers a 15-day trial with no card during the trial, plus a refund if requested within 30 days of signing up.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a build service included on every Coachful plan at no charge. You describe what you need (a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence and more), attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include filming videos, logo design or ad management.

Can Coachful replace both Satori and Trainerize?

For most coaches who deliver programs, yes: it covers booking, contracts and payments like Satori, and workouts, nutrition, habits and check-ins like Trainerize through the Fitness & Nutrition pack. It will not suit you if you need PayPal, wearable sync, stock exercise videos or a permanent free plan.

Is either tool suitable for clinical or medical clients?

Coaching is not medical care, and none of the three tools in this article should hold clinical records. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified. Refer clients with medical red flags to a doctor, dietitian or other licensed clinician, and keep any clinical notes in a clinical system.
