Podia Pricing in 2026: Plans, Fees and What Coaches Pay

As listed in October 2026, Podia pricing has three paid plans: Mover at $49 a month, Shaker at $99 a month and Earthquaker at $179 a month, or $42, $84 and $150 a month when billed annually. There is no free plan, but there is a 14-day free trial with full access and no credit card. Mover adds a 5% Podia fee on every sale; Shaker and Earthquaker charge 0%. Every plan allows unlimited customers, but email subscribers are capped at 100, 500 and 1,000.
That is the short answer. The longer one matters more for coaches, because the plan price is rarely what you end up paying. The 5% fee on Mover, the small email allowances, PayPal and Zapier being locked to Shaker, and the tools Podia does not include (video calls, contracts, client check-ins) all change the real monthly total. Below you will find every plan and limit, every fee, worked totals for three sizes of coaching business, the gotchas public reviewers point to, and how Podia compares with five alternatives.
We make Coachful, a coaching platform, so we have a point of view. We have kept the Podia figures to what Podia publishes on its pricing page, and we say where we think Podia is the better pick.

How much does Podia cost in 2026?
Podia costs $49 to $179 a month on monthly billing, or $504 to $1,800 a year on annual billing, as listed in October 2026. The visible block on Podia's pricing page shows annual prices; the monthly-billed prices appear in the page's structured data, so check the billing toggle before you compare.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Annual total | Podia transaction fee | Main limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mover | $49/month | $42/month | $504/year | 5% | 50 products, 500 videos, 25 community spaces, 100 email subscribers included |
| Shaker | $99/month | $84/month | $1,008/year | 0% | 150 products, 1,000 videos, 100 spaces, 500 email subscribers, 1 assistant |
| Earthquaker | $179/month | $150/month | $1,800/year | 0% | Unlimited products, videos, spaces and assistants; 1,000 email subscribers |
All three plans allow unlimited customers, which is generous: you are not charged more as your buyer list grows. What grows your bill instead is the email list. A coach who gives away a lead magnet can pass 100 subscribers in a week, so the email allowance is the limit most coaches hit first.
Annual billing saves $84 a year on Mover, $180 on Shaker and $348 on Earthquaker compared with paying monthly for twelve months. That is roughly 14% to 16% off, which is worth taking only once you are confident Podia is the platform you will stay on.
What does each Podia plan add?
Each step up removes a fee or a limit rather than adding a new kind of tool. Mover already includes the core storefront; Shaker removes the 5% fee and adds selling extras; Earthquaker removes the product and seat limits.
Mover ($49 a month, or $42 billed annually)
Mover includes courses, downloads, coaching products, webinars, a community, a website and email marketing. For a coach starting out, that is a real storefront: you can sell a 1:1 package, a recorded mini-course and a paid workshop from one site. The trade-offs are the 5% Podia fee on every sale and an email allowance of 100 subscribers. Mover's listing does not mention an assistant seat, so plan on running it alone.
Shaker ($99 a month, or $84 billed annually)
Shaker drops the transaction fee to 0% and adds affiliate marketing, upsells, PayPal and Zapier. It raises the limits to 150 products, 1,000 videos, 100 community spaces and 500 email subscribers, and includes one assistant. For most coaches who sell anything at all, Shaker is the plan where Podia starts to make financial sense, for reasons we work through in the fee section below.
Earthquaker ($179 a month, or $150 billed annually)
Earthquaker keeps the 0% fee and makes products, videos, community spaces and assistants unlimited. The email allowance only doubles to 1,000 subscribers, though. If you are moving up to Earthquaker for the list size, you are paying $80 more a month for 500 extra subscribers plus the unlimited limits, so check whether you actually need those limits first.

What fees does Podia charge on top of the plan?
Podia charges a 5% transaction fee on Mover and none on Shaker or Earthquaker; on every plan you also pay standard payment processing, listed at 2.9% plus 30 cents per charge. Extra email subscribers are a separate add-on whose price is not shown on the pricing page.
| Cost | Mover | Shaker | Earthquaker | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Podia transaction fee | 5% of each sale | 0% | 0% | Charged by Podia, on top of processing |
| Payment processing | 2.9% + 30¢ (standard) | 2.9% + 30¢ (standard) | 2.9% + 30¢ (standard) | Paid to Stripe or PayPal, not Podia |
| Payment processors | Stripe | Stripe and PayPal | Stripe and PayPal | PayPal is locked to Shaker and above |
| Email subscribers included | 100 | 500 | 1,000 | Extra subscribers are an add-on, price not shown; Podia says you are never auto-upgraded |
| Assistant seats | Not listed | 1 | Unlimited | No per-seat price listed |
| Zapier and affiliates | Not included | Included | Included | Zapier itself is a separate subscription |
The 5% Mover fee
On Mover, Podia keeps 5% of every sale before Stripe takes its share. On $1,000 of sales that is $50, which is exactly the gap between Mover and Shaker on monthly billing ($99 minus $49). So the break-even is simple: once you sell more than about $1,000 a month, Shaker is cheaper than Mover. On annual billing the gap is $42 a month ($84 minus $42), so the break-even falls to about $840 a month in sales.
For a coach, $840 a month is often two or three clients. If you plan to sell coaching through Podia rather than just test it, Mover is a short-lived plan for most people.
Payment processing
Processing is not a Podia fee, but it is part of what you pay. At the standard 2.9% plus 30 cents, a $300 monthly coaching payment costs $9.00 in processing ($8.70 plus 30 cents). Stripe's actual rate varies by country, card type and currency conversion, so check your own Stripe dashboard rather than assuming the standard rate. This cost exists on every platform that runs on Stripe, including Coachful, so it is not a reason to choose one tool over another; the platform fee on top is.
Email subscriber add-ons
Podia lists 100, 500 and 1,000 included email subscribers, and offers extra subscribers as an add-on without a public price. The pricing page says you are never automatically upgraded, which is fair, but it means you cannot budget the add-on from the pricing page alone. Ask Podia support for the rate at your expected list size during the trial.
Which Podia plan should a coach choose?
Most coaches who already have paying clients should choose Shaker; Mover only makes sense while you sell under roughly $840 to $1,000 a month and have fewer than 100 email subscribers. Earthquaker is for coaches with more than 150 products, more than one helper, or a list between 500 and 1,000.
- Choose Mover if you are testing an idea, have no list yet and expect only a sale or two a month for now.
- Choose Shaker if you sell more than about $1,000 a month, want PayPal, want to run affiliates or upsells, or need Zapier to connect a calendar, contract or CRM tool.
- Choose Earthquaker if you need more than one assistant, run a large content library, or need up to 1,000 email subscribers without buying the add-on.

What does a coach actually pay on Podia?
In our three worked examples, a coach pays roughly $144 to $493 a month on Podia once processing is included, before the cost of the tools Podia does not cover. The figures below are illustrative examples, not benchmarks: the sales, client counts and list sizes are made up to show how the costs stack, using the October 2026 Podia prices and the standard 2.9% plus 30 cents processing rate.
| Example coach | Best-fit Podia plan | Plan cost (monthly / annual billing) | Podia fee | Processing (example) | Podia total per month | Tools still needed beside it |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| New coach: 6 clients, $1,500/month in sales, 6 payments, 250 email subscribers | Shaker | $99 / $84 | $0 | $45.30 | $144.30 (or $129.30 annual) | Video calls, contracts with e-signature, client check-ins or habit tracking |
| Growing coach: 15 clients plus a small group, $4,500/month, 25 payments, 800 subscribers | Earthquaker (or Shaker plus the subscriber add-on) | $179 / $150 | $0 | $138.00 | $317.00 (or $288.00 annual) | Video calls, contracts, check-ins and habits, a client app |
| Established coach: 40 clients plus a course, $10,000/month, 80 payments, 3,000 subscribers | Earthquaker plus the subscriber add-on | $179 / $150, plus add-on (price not shown) | $0 | $314.00 | $493.00 (or $464.00 annual), plus the add-on | Video calls, contracts, check-ins and habits, a client app, credential hour tracking |
Here is how the first row works. Shaker costs $99. Processing is 2.9% of $1,500 ($43.50) plus 30 cents on six payments ($1.80), so $45.30. The total is $144.30 a month. On Mover the same coach would pay $49 plus a 5% fee of $75, so $124 before processing, and would also be over the 100-subscriber allowance. Mover looks $50 cheaper on the pricing page and ends up only $25 cheaper, with a list that does not fit.
The second row is where Podia's email limits bite. At 800 subscribers, the coach either moves to Earthquaker for its 1,000-subscriber allowance or stays on Shaker and buys the add-on at an unpublished price. The third row needs the add-on regardless, because no Podia plan includes more than 1,000 subscribers.
The right-hand column is the part people forget. Podia sells coaching as a product, but as of our September 2026 profile it has no native video calls and no mobile app, and it has no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. Each of those is a separate subscription or a manual workaround. We have not priced those tools here, because the cost depends on which ones you pick, but list them before you compare Podia's total with an all-in-one coaching platform.
For comparison, here is what the same three coaches would see on Coachful, where the platform fee is 0% and processing goes through their own Stripe or Razorpay account:
- New coach with 6 clients: Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients
- Growing coach with 15 clients: Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients
- Established coach with 40 clients: Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients
Booking, video, contracts, check-ins, habits, the branded client app and ICF hour tracking are included in your Coachful membership, so the right-hand column above mostly disappears. One honest difference: Coachful's lower plans cap the number of clients, while Podia allows unlimited customers on every plan.
What hidden costs and gotchas should coaches watch for?
The main gotchas are the email subscriber caps, the 5% fee on Mover, features locked to Shaker, and the coaching tools Podia leaves out. None of them are hidden in the sense of being concealed; they are just easy to miss when you compare headline prices.
- Email caps are low for a marketing-led business. 100, 500 and 1,000 subscribers is small if you run a lead magnet or a free challenge. The add-on price is not public, so budget a buffer or ask support.
- Mover's fee scales with your success. At $3,000 a month in sales, the 5% fee is $150, which is more than Shaker's whole monthly price.
- PayPal is not on Mover. If a lot of your clients prefer to pay with PayPal, you need Shaker. (Coachful does not support PayPal at all, so this one counts in Podia's favour if PayPal matters to you.)
- Zapier is not on Mover. Without it, connecting a booking, contract or CRM tool means manual copying. Zapier also has its own subscription on top.
- No client delivery layer. Podia is a storefront: it sells and hosts products. It does not track a client's habits, collect daily check-ins or build a per-client plan, which is a lot of what coaches deliver between sessions.
- No native video calls or mobile app. According to our September 2026 profile, calls run on a separate tool and clients use the browser. If your clients expect an app, that is another cost or a gap.
- Exports are partial. Our September 2026 profile notes contact export to CSV, sales and invoice export, and per-product customer export that covers active enrollments only. If you ever leave, plan for a manual record of past clients.
- Annual billing locks you in. The discount is real, but if you are still testing whether Podia fits a coaching practice, a year is a long commitment.
Public reviewers on Trustpilot give Podia 4.1 from 153 reviews, as listed in October 2026. That is a decent score for this category, and it matches the impression that Podia is easy to use for what it does. The question for coaches is whether what it does covers your client work.
Is Podia worth it for coaches?
Podia is worth it for coaches whose business is mostly selling content: courses, downloads, workshops and a light community, with occasional sessions. It is a weaker fit for coaches whose value is in ongoing 1:1 or group programs, because the delivery tools are not there.
Course-first coaches and educators
If you sell a signature course, a library of downloads and a few webinars, Podia is a clean, simple storefront at a reasonable price, especially on Shaker. Unlimited customers on every plan means a course launch does not push you up a tier. Compare it with our course platform for coaches overview if courses are your main product.
1:1 life, career and business coaches
If most of your income is packages of sessions, you need booking, video, contracts, notes and follow-up more than a product catalogue. Podia can take the payment, but the rest of the client journey lives in other tools. Coaches in this group usually do better on a coaching platform; see the pages for life coaches and business coaches.
Health, wellness and fitness coaches
Habit tracking, check-ins and progress updates are the core of this work, and Podia does not provide them. A health or fitness coach on Podia would need a separate client app. Whatever platform you use, coaching is not medical treatment or therapy: keep to behaviour change and accountability, and refer clients to a doctor, dietitian or licensed mental-health professional when symptoms, diagnoses or medication come up. Our health coaches and Fitness & Nutrition pages show what a coaching-specific setup includes.
Group program and cohort coaches
Podia's community spaces work for a discussion area alongside a course. Cohort programs with weekly goals, live calls and accountability need more structure. See our group coaching pricing calculator to check your margins first.
Pick Podia over Coachful if your business is mainly digital products with unlimited buyers, you need PayPal, and you do not run structured client programs between sessions.
How does Podia pricing compare with the alternatives?
Podia sits in the middle on price: cheaper than Kajabi and Thinkific, pricier than Stan Store and Systeme.io at entry level, with a fee only on its cheapest plan. We rank on what matters to coaches: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost and setup effort, which is why Coachful leads the table.
| Tool | Entry plan (monthly billing) | Platform fee on sales | Trial or free plan | Client habits and check-ins | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | 0%; Stripe or Razorpay processing only | A free trial | Yes, built in | Coaches who deliver programs, sessions and courses from one login |
| Podia | Mover $49 ($42 annual) | 5% on Mover; 0% on Shaker and Earthquaker | 14 days, no card | No | Simple storefront for courses, downloads and webinars |
| Kajabi | Basic $179 ($143 annual) | None with Kajabi Payments; 2% extra on Basic with other processors (PayPal excepted) | 14 days | No | Course and community businesses with bigger lists |
| Teachable | Starter $39 ($29 annual) | 7.5% on Starter; 0% above | 7 days plus a 30-day guarantee | No | Course sellers who want student apps |
| Thinkific | Start $109 ($82 annual) | 0% with Thinkific Payments | 30 days | No | Course academies with many students |
| Stan Store | Creator $29 ($25 annual) | 0% | 14 days | No | Link-in-bio sellers on social media |
| Systeme.io | Free plan; Startup $17 | 0% on all plans | Free plan that never expires | No | Funnels and email on a tight budget |
All prices are as listed in October 2026. A few points the table cannot show:
- Kajabi starts at more than three times Podia's entry price, but Basic includes 2,500 contacts against Podia's 100 to 1,000 email subscribers. If your list is big, the gap narrows. Our Kajabi pricing breakdown and the Kajabi vs Podia comparison go deeper.
- Teachable is cheaper to start, but its Starter plan takes 7.5% of each sale, more than Podia's 5%.
- Thinkific raised prices about 10% on August 13, 2026, and its branded mobile app is a $199 a month add-on.
- Stan Store keeps email, upsells and affiliates on its $99 Creator Pro plan, so the $29 plan is a storefront only. See our Stan Store pricing guide.
- Systeme.io has a genuine free plan with 2,000 contacts and 0% fees, but no 1:1 scheduling with client records.

Course platforms all share the same gap for coaches: they sell and host content well, and leave client delivery to other tools. If you want to compare dedicated coaching platforms instead, see our Paperbell pricing and Practice Better pricing breakdowns, or the full comparison hub.
Why do we recommend Coachful for most coaches?
Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client has one branded app. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.
It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; for solo coaches growing into a small team; and for coaches replacing four to six separate tools. Coachful is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds 4.5 on Trustpilot from 21 reviews.

What Coachful does that Podia leaves to other tools
- Programs and daily delivery. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks.
- Booking and video. Booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links; email reminders, plus SMS and WhatsApp reminders once messaging is enabled.
- Contracts. Coaching agreements with e-signature sent before the first call and stored on the client record. See coaching contracts.
- Payments. One-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax, through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026. See coaching payment software.
- Client records. Goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions per client, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk.
- Courses and community. Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking, plus a community feed, group chat, direct messages and cohort groups created automatically when a client enrols in a program.
- Website, funnels and email. A section-based website builder with 30 designed homepage templates, booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels, and email broadcasts and sequences.
- Michelle, the AI assistant. Works from your live practice data to build programs, draft emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
- ICF credential tracking. Counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log. See ICF hour tracking.

This short walkthrough shows how a multi-week program is set up in Coachful:

And this one walks through invoices and payments, the part that replaces Podia's checkout:

What Coachful does not do
Being clear about the limits saves you a wasted trial:
- No PayPal. Payments run through Stripe or Razorpay only, so Podia's Shaker plan wins if your clients insist on PayPal.
- No permanent free plan, and lower plans cap the number of clients; Pro is unlimited.
- Not HIPAA-certified and no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
- The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.
- Not a course marketplace and not a general website builder for non-coaching sites; no third-party plugins.
- No Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and no stock exercise videos; fitness coaches attach their own demo videos.
- The affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually rather than sent for you.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build things for you inside your own account: a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline and written material, an email sequence, a lead quiz, an event page or an automation. You start from Create, then We'll build it for you, describe what you want, and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. Builds usually arrive within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi had their homepage and About page rebuilt with the contact form connected; a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more about the white-glove build service.

How to start
Start a free trial, then use the white-glove service to have your site, first program or funnel built while you look around. Your clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, so a move from Podia does not mean rebuilding from scratch. Monthly plans cancel in one click, and you can export all client data as a ZIP at any time. If you are new to coaching, the guide for new coaches is a good first stop.
How can you save money on Podia?
The biggest saving is choosing the right plan for your sales, not chasing the cheapest headline price. After that, annual billing and list hygiene do most of the work.
- Move off Mover early. Once you sell more than about $1,000 a month ($840 on annual billing), Shaker costs less than Mover plus its 5% fee.
- Use the full 14-day trial with real offers. No card is needed, so build one real product, run one test purchase and check what you would need beside Podia before choosing a plan.
- Switch to annual only after a few months. The saving is $84 to $348 a year. It is worth it once you know you are staying, and a costly lock-in if you are not.
- Clean your email list. Because subscriber caps are low, removing inactive subscribers can keep you inside your allowance and away from the add-on.
- Do not jump to Earthquaker for email alone. It only adds 500 subscribers over Shaker. Ask for the add-on price first and compare.
- Count the whole stack. Add up your video, contract, scheduling and check-in tools. If they cost more than the gap between Podia and an all-in-one coaching platform, the cheaper-looking option is the more expensive one. Our coaching pricing audit walks through the full calculation.
What should you check before you commit to Podia?
Before paying, confirm three things during the trial: that your list will fit the email allowance, that your coaching sessions can be booked and delivered the way your clients expect, and that you can export what you need if you leave.
Write down your current email list size and how fast it grows each month. Book a test session through Podia's coaching product and note which steps happen elsewhere, such as the video link, the contract and the follow-up. Then export your contacts and a test sale, and look at what the files contain. If those three checks pass, Podia is a reasonable, simple choice. If they do not, compare it with a coaching software platform before you pay for a year.
Frequently asked questions about Podia pricing
How much does Podia cost per month?
As listed in October 2026, Podia costs $49 a month for Mover, $99 for Shaker and $179 for Earthquaker on monthly billing. Billed annually, the plans work out to $42, $84 and $150 a month. Payment processing of about 2.9% plus 30 cents per charge is extra on every plan.
Does Podia have a free plan?
No, Podia has no free plan. It offers a 14-day free trial with full access, and you do not need a credit card or to choose a plan to start it. After the trial you pick one of the three paid plans.
Does Podia take a percentage of sales?
Only on Mover, where Podia charges a 5% transaction fee. Shaker and Earthquaker have a 0% Podia fee. Stripe or PayPal processing applies on every plan regardless.
Which Podia plan is best for coaches?
For most coaches with paying clients, Shaker is the best value. It removes the 5% fee, adds PayPal, Zapier, upsells and affiliates, and includes 500 email subscribers. Mover is cheaper only while you sell under roughly $1,000 a month.
What happens if I go over my Podia email subscriber limit?
Podia sells extra email subscribers as an add-on and says you are never automatically upgraded. The add-on price is not shown on the pricing page, so ask Podia for the rate at your list size before you rely on it.
Can I take PayPal payments on Podia?
Yes, but only on Shaker and Earthquaker. Mover supports Stripe only. If PayPal matters to your clients, factor Shaker's price into your comparison.
Does Podia include video calls and a client app?
As of our September 2026 profile, Podia has no native video calls and no mobile app, so coaching sessions run on a separate video tool and clients use the browser. It also has no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. Coachful includes built-in video, habits, check-ins and a branded client app in your membership.
Is Podia cheaper than Kajabi?
Yes, tier for tier. Podia runs $49 to $179 a month, while Kajabi runs $179 to $499, as listed in October 2026. Kajabi includes much larger contact allowances, starting at 2,500 contacts, so the gap is smaller for coaches with big email lists.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every plan, the Coachful team will build a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence or similar inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. You describe what you want and attach up to 8 links and 10 files. The team does not invent credentials, testimonials or prices, and the service does not cover video recording, logo design or ads.
How do I move from Podia to Coachful?
Export your contacts and sales from Podia, then start a Coachful trial. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove service can rebuild your site and funnels. Keep your Podia account open until your active clients and payments have moved over.
