12 Practice Better Alternatives for Holistic Health Coaches

The best Practice Better alternatives for holistic health coaches are the tools that carry a client from a free discovery call through a multi-week lifestyle program, with daily habits, check-ins, recipes, group support and payments in one place, without the charting and prescribing features a coach is not licensed to use. If you coach sleep, stress, digestion-friendly eating, movement and daily routines rather than diagnosing or treating anything, you are probably paying for a clinical practice manager while missing the between-session tools your clients actually open every morning.
We make Coachful, and it is our pick for most holistic health coaches: one login for booking, payments, agreements, habit-based programs, courses, community, a website and email, with your branding inside the Coachful client app. Below are 11 more options ranked by scenario, with prices as vendors listed them in October 2026, plus a clear note on when a licensed practitioner should stay on Practice Better or another clinical system.
Who should switch from Practice Better, and who should stay?
Switch if your work is coaching rather than clinical care; stay if you chart, prescribe or bill as a licensed practitioner. Practice Better is built for wellness and nutrition practitioners, with charting, telehealth, a client portal and add-ons such as an AI Charting Assistant, ePrescribe, a prescription drug monitoring add-on and a fax number. Those are real strengths for a registered dietitian, naturopathic doctor or functional medicine clinician. They are dead weight for a holistic health coach who helps clients build habits and never writes a chart note that a regulator would read.
Coaching is not treatment. A holistic health coach supports behaviour change inside a client's existing medical care; they do not diagnose, treat, prescribe or replace a doctor. If you hold a clinical licence and keep protected health information, you need a system that will sign a business associate agreement under HIPAA (the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services explains the rules). Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, does not sign a BAA, has no EHR and does no insurance billing. Our guide to Practice Better's EHR side and the Practice Better vs SimplePractice comparison cover that clinical route.
For everyone else, here is what Practice Better costs today, so you can compare like for like.

As listed in October 2026: Sprout is free for 3 clients; Starter is $35/month ($25 billed annually) for 10 clients; Professional is $69/month ($59 annually) for 300 clients; Plus is $99/month ($89 annually) for unlimited clients; Team is $155/month ($145 annually) for 2 practitioners. Evergreen self-paced programs, portal branding and a personalized URL start on Plus. Its Trustpilot score was 3.8 from 87 reviews when checked on 25 October 2026. Our full Practice Better review goes deeper.
What do holistic health coaches need from Practice Better alternatives?
They need a tool built around the client's daily life between sessions, not around the practitioner's notes after them. Holistic work is slow and cumulative: a client swaps one afternoon coffee for herbal tea, adds a ten-minute walk after lunch, starts an evening wind-down, and needs to see those small wins stack up over 8 to 16 weeks. The software has to carry that rhythm.
- A gentle intake. Lifestyle, sleep, stress, food preferences, goals and a short red-flag screen that tells you when to send someone to their doctor first. Our intake form roundup for holistic health coaches covers the forms themselves.
- Habits and check-ins. Daily habits (water, movement, mindful meals, screen-free evenings), a morning intention and an evening reflection, plus streaks that make progress visible.
- Program delivery. Week-by-week modules such as a 12-week reset or a 6-week sleep series, with recipes, meditations, worksheets and short videos dripped in order.
- Group support. Many holistic coaches run seasonal cohorts (a spring reset, a January habits group) and need a private space where members encourage each other. See our community platform roundup for holistic health coaches.
- Selling without a second stack. A calm website, a free guide that collects emails, booking for discovery calls, payment plans and an agreement that states your scope before the first session.
- Clear scope. Agreements and intake language that say coaching is not medical care, and a habit of referring when symptoms need clinical attention.
The NBHWC, which certifies health and wellness coaches in the United States, frames the role the same way: coaches support client-led change and work alongside healthcare providers (National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching). Pick software that fits that role and you avoid both overpaying and over-reaching.
Which tool is best for each holistic coaching scenario?
Ranking criteria, in one line: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery (habits, check-ins, programs), total stack cost at your client count, and setup effort, including whether someone will build it for you.
| Scenario | Pick | Why | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Best overall | Programs, habits, check-ins, booking, payments, courses, community, website and email in one branded client app | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients |
| Marketing-heavy practice with memberships | AttractWell | Website, funnels, email, texting, community and courses | $69/mo |
| Worksheets and reflective exercises between sessions | Quenza | Activity and worksheet builder with a client app | $25/mo |
| Starting with a handful of 1:1 clients | Coach Recap | Free for 3 active clients, simple session records | $0 |
| Session packs plus small paid workshops | Merkora | Packages with balances, live events, video courses | $0 until first sale |
| Licensed practitioner who charts or prescribes | Stay on Practice Better | Charting, ePrescribe and fax add-ons | $35/mo |
How did we rank these Practice Better alternatives?
We ranked them on what a holistic health coach does every week, using only what each vendor documents on its own site and what public reviewers report. We did not run hands-on tests. Prices are as listed in October 2026; limits marked "older profile" come from earlier research and may have changed.
- Between-session delivery (35%). Habits, daily check-ins, programs and content in a client-facing app or portal.
- One login for the journey (25%). From first website visit to booking, payment, agreement, program and renewal, without bolting tools together.
- Total cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients (25%). Including the website, email and course tools you would otherwise pay for separately.
- Setup effort (15%). How much you must build yourself before the first client sees anything.
Practice Better itself is not in the ranked list because this is a list of alternatives. If you want the broader picture, our best software for holistic health coaches guide compares the wider category, and Practice Better alternatives for health coaches covers the general health coaching angle.
1. Coachful: best overall for habit-based holistic programs

Coachful wins when your practice is built on programs and daily habits rather than single sessions. A holistic coach can sell a 12-week reset, deliver it week by week with habits and morning and evening check-ins, run the cohort in a private community, and take the payment, all from one login, while each client opens one app with your branding on it.
Programs that live in the client's day. Multi-week programs hold weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. For a holistic client, that means "drink a glass of water before coffee", "ten-minute walk after lunch" and "phone out of the bedroom by 9:30" show up as daily ticks, and the evening check-in asks how sleep, energy and mood felt. You see the answers on the client record, next to intake answers, notes, tags, payments and sessions. Each client carries a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so the person who stopped checking in three days ago is visible before they drift away.

Content holistic coaches actually send. Courses with modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking hold a seasonal eating series or a stress-reset course. Downloads, videos, books, events and bundles sit next to them in the client's branded home. If food is central to your work, the Fitness & Nutrition pack adds nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, and weekly check-ins. Many holistic coaches avoid calorie targets; the meal plans and recipes still work without them.

Selling and admin without extra tools. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time zones, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync, built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, and intake questions on booking. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons and refunds, with a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026 (only the processor's fees apply). Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record, which is where your scope statement belongs. A section-based website builder with blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels and email sequences with branching, replace the separate website and newsletter tools most Practice Better users pay for.
Group work and AI help. Enrolling in a program automatically creates a cohort group with a feed, group chat and video events. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it can draft a program outline, write the welcome email sequence, summarize a recorded session and brief you before each call. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. If you are working toward an ICF credential, Coachful also counts your coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds.
Here is how a program comes together inside Coachful:
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE" and describe what you want: a website, a funnel for your free guide, a program, a course outline, an email sequence or an intake form. Attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours, and leaves gaps for you rather than inventing credentials, testimonials or prices. One recent example: a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream, with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. It does not cover filming videos, logo design or running ads. Read more about the white-glove build service.

What Coachful does not do. It is not HIPAA-certified and signs no BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. There is no PayPal, no permanent free plan, and no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync; Apple Health sync is not publicly available. Your client app runs under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than under your own App Store account.
Price: flat monthly plans; lower plans cap client numbers and Pro is unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and there is a free trial. See the Coachful page for health coaches and the Coachful vs Practice Better comparison.
2. AttractWell: for a practice that runs on marketing and memberships

If your holistic practice depends on content marketing, a monthly membership and text reminders, AttractWell is the strongest marketing-first option here. It bundles a website, funnels, blog, CRM, email and texting, booking, contracts, invoicing, a store, a Facebook-style community and courses (which it calls "vaults").
For a holistic coach, the appeal is a recurring "seasonal living" membership with drip content, a community where members post wins, and email plus SMS nudges to bring quiet members back. Session packages ("call packages") track usage, though they are not on Starter, limited to 5 on Basic and unlimited from Premium.
As listed in October 2026: Starter $69/month (500 contacts, 1 vault, 2 booking links), Basic $99/month (1,000 contacts, 3 vaults), Premium $129/month (4,000 contacts, unlimited booking links and call packages), Pro $179/month and Diamond $239/month. The first month is $1 on every plan and there is no transaction fee. Trustpilot showed 4.6 from 21 reviews on 27 October 2026.
The limits are mostly caps: few vaults on lower plans (unlimited vaults and classes cost an extra $17/month), contact limits that bite as your email list grows, and no habit tracking or daily check-ins in what the vendor documents. You would deliver the habit side through content and community rather than tracked daily ticks.
Pick it over Coachful if SMS marketing volume and a large contact database matter more to you than daily habit tracking, and you are comfortable choosing between many plan caps.
3. Quenza: for worksheets, meditations and reflective homework

Quenza earns its place for coaches whose between-session work is reflective: food-and-mood journals, gratitude exercises, guided breathing audio, sleep diaries and values worksheets. It is a client-engagement tool for coaches and therapists, built around activities, worksheets and programs delivered through a client app with chat.
That focus suits holistic coaches who lean toward mind-body and emotional wellbeing. You can assemble a six-week stress program from activities and send it out on a schedule.
As listed in October 2026: Spark $25/month ($20 annually) for 10 clients, Growth $50/month ($40 annually) for 250 clients, Impact $125/month for 400 clients and Collective $160/month for up to 3 professionals. The trial is 30 days with no card. Trustpilot showed 4.3 from 8 reviews on 25 October 2026.
The gap is everything around the homework. Quenza has no client payment processing today (invoicing and digital products are marked as planned), and the older profile notes no scheduling or video calls. In practice you pair it with a booking and payment tool, which is why it appears in one of the example stacks below.
Pick it over Coachful if you already have booking and payments sorted elsewhere and only want a dedicated worksheet and activity builder.
4. Coach Recap: when you are starting with a few 1:1 clients

Newly certified holistic coaches with two or three practice clients get the most from Coach Recap. Its Starter plan is free for up to 3 active clients (active meaning a session or booking in the last 90 days), with no credit card. Our guide on starting a holistic health coaching business covers what else that first stage needs.
The vendor describes itself as built for solo coaches. Client profiles hold session history, notes, goals and action items with full-text search. The booking page supports buffers and notice rules, two-way Google Calendar and Outlook sync, and reminders at 24 hours, 1 hour and 15 minutes. Programs are session packs or monthly subscriptions paid through Stripe, with sessions used and remaining tracked, and there are intake forms, check-ins, contracts and private chat.
As listed in October 2026: Starter free (3 active clients), Professional $29/month (20 active clients), Business $79/month (unlimited). The vendor takes no cut of client payments; Stripe fees apply. Its pricing page displayed euros when we captured it, and App Store prices differ for reasons the site does not explain.
For holistic work, the limit is depth between sessions: no documented habit tracker, course builder, community or website builder. It is a tidy session-and-notes tool, which is exactly what some coaches want early on.
Pick it over Coachful if you have three or fewer clients, coach purely 1:1 and want to spend nothing until the practice grows.
5. Merkora: session packages plus small live workshops

Merkora fits the holistic coach who sells session bundles and runs the occasional live workshop, such as a 90-minute "reset your evenings" class. It gives you one branded public page with booking, intake forms, a waitlist and session packages where clients see their remaining balance.
Built-in live streaming handles events and group sessions, and it hosts video courses, digital downloads and free lead magnets with email capture. Cancellation and no-show policies issue wallet credits instead of cash refunds, which suits coaches tired of chasing late cancellations.
As listed in October 2026: Free at $0 until your first paid sale (then 14 days to upgrade before new bookings and sales pause; events capped at 10 participants), Professional $79/month, and a founding-member rate of $29/month locked for 12 months, then $39/month, for 50 founder spots. Merkora charges 0% on sales; Stripe fees apply.
Treat it as young software: the product appears new, with no public review base yet, and the cheaper rate depends on founder spots remaining. There is no documented habit tracking or daily check-in feature.
Pick it over Coachful if your offer is mostly session packs and occasional live classes, and you want to test it free until the first sale.
6. CoachAccountable: structured accountability for fewer, deeper clients

CoachAccountable suits holistic coaches who track specific numbers with each client, such as hours slept, servings of vegetables or minutes of movement, and want a back office built around action plans and metrics. It covers sessions, action plans, metrics, worksheets, courses, invoicing and agreements.
Its metrics are a good match for clients who like to see their week in numbers, and action plans keep the "between now and next session" list explicit.
As listed in October 2026, pricing is per active client: Starter $20/month (2), Level 1 $40/month (5), Level 2 $70/month (10), Level 3 $120/month (20), Level 4 $250/month (50) and Level 5 $400/month (100). The trial is 30 days with no card and no limits. Trustpilot showed 4.8 from 47 reviews on 25 October 2026, a strong reviewer signal.
Group cohorts are where it gets expensive, because every active participant counts. The older profile also notes no native mobile app, no website or landing pages, and that the vendor states it is not HIPAA compliant.
Pick it over Coachful if you coach a small number of 1:1 clients intensively and care most about metric tracking and action plans.
7. Paperbell: one flat price for solo admin

Paperbell is for the holistic coach who wants booking, packages, payments, contracts, a client portal and a simple website for one price, and has no plans for courses or a community. Everything is unlimited on the single plan.
Its packages work well for "three-month wellness coaching" bundles with a set number of calls, and it takes payment through Stripe or PayPal, the latter being something Coachful does not offer.
As listed in October 2026: one plan at $97/month ($80.83 annually), with no additional transaction fees beyond the processor's. The help center (July 2026) describes a 7-day trial with the public site offline and client messages and SMS turned off; there is a 30-day money-back guarantee. Trustpilot showed 3.5 from 14 reviews on 25 October 2026.
For holistic work, the older profile notes no courses, no community and no goal or habit tracking, and no native mobile app (mobile browser only). Daily rhythm work would happen outside it. We compare more options in Paperbell alternatives for holistic health coaches.
Pick it over Coachful if clients must be able to pay with PayPal and your offer is purely 1:1 sessions.
8. Satori: low-cost packages for certification-stage coaches

Satori makes most sense during or just after a health coaching certification. Its Scholar plan is free for unlimited pro-bono clients if you apply as someone studying for a coaching certification, which covers practice clients you need for your hours.
Beyond that, it handles scheduling, a client portal, packages and programs, invoices and contracts, and only active clients count toward billing.
As listed in October 2026: Scholar $0, Essentials $33/month ($27.50 annually) for up to 10 active paying clients, Pro $49/month ($40.83 annually; 50 active clients per the older profile) and Leader $124/month. The trial is 15 days with no card, with a refund if requested within 30 days of signing up. Satori takes nothing from client payments; Stripe and PayPal fees apply.
The older profile notes no native mobile app, no native Zoom integration, and no landing pages, courses or community. A holistic coach who later wants a group program or a course will outgrow it.
Pick it over Coachful if you are still certifying, your clients are pro bono, and you qualify for the Scholar plan.
9. CoachVantage: unlimited clients for a per-coach fee

Holistic coaches with a growing roster and modest program needs may like CoachVantage, because it prices per coach with unlimited contacts and engagements. It covers CRM, scheduling, contracts with e-signature, invoices, a client portal, group programs and small courses.
As listed in October 2026: Clarity $39/month ($35 annually) with 2 group programs, 2 sales pages, 2 booking pages, 4 e-signatures a month, 2 contract templates and 2 courses; Aha! $59/month ($53 annually) with unlimited group programs (with cohorts), sales pages, booking pages and e-signatures, plus 5 contract templates and 5 courses. The trial is 14 days with no card, and it takes no commission; Stripe and PayPal fees apply.
The caps on Clarity are tight for a coach who sends an agreement to every new client: four e-signatures a month runs out fast in January. The older profile reports the built-in video (CVMeet) as weak, with many users still on Zoom, and no team features. No habit tracking is documented.
Pick it over Coachful if you mainly need CRM and contracts for a large 1:1 roster and want a per-coach price with no client cap.
10. Delenta: client portals with courses on the top tier

Delenta suits a holistic coach who wants a CRM, scheduling, contracts and individual client portals, with group coaching and courses added once the practice can justify the top plan.
As listed in October 2026: Starter $29/month ($19.08 annually) with 10 client portals, Pro $49/month ($39.08 annually) with 40 portals and up to 6 calendars, and Premium $79/month ($58.25 annually) with unlimited portals and 100 GB. Teams and Enterprise are custom-priced. There are no extra transaction fees. The trial length conflicts on the vendor's page (14 days in the headline, 7 days in the FAQ). Trustpilot showed 4.1 from 5 reviews on 25 October 2026.
The catch for holistic coaches is that the course creator and mobile app sit only on Premium, so delivering a recipe course or a self-paced reset means paying for the top plan. Multi-coach features need the custom-priced Teams plan.
Pick it over Coachful if you want separate client portals as the core of your practice and do not need habits or check-ins.
11. Simply.Coach: a cheap start that scales by tier

Simply.Coach is the budget pick for a very small practice, with a $9/month Starter plan. It covers contracts, programs, sessions, booking pages and a client portal, and adds business tiers for coaching companies.
As listed in October 2026: Starter $9/month (3 active coachees, 1 contract, 1 program), Essentials $29/month (7 coachees, 3 contracts, 3 programs), Growth $49/month (30 coachees), Leap $69/month (unlimited coachees, contracts and programs), and business plans at $79 and $159 per active coach. The trial is 14 days with no card.
Every solo tier below Leap caps clients, contracts and programs at the same time, which matters if you run several holistic programs (a sleep series, a gut-friendly eating series, a stress series). The vendor does not refund mid-period cancellations, and automated invoices are marked "Coming Soon" on the solo pricing page.
Pick it over Coachful if you need the lowest possible monthly bill for three clients and one program.
12. Coaches Console: an established all-in-one at a higher price

Coaches Console is a long-standing coach business system with CRM, calendar, website, client portal, email, invoicing and, on the higher plan, courses. It suits a holistic coach who wants a mature, structured business system and is comfortable paying for it.
As listed in October 2026: Core Console System $197/month ($166.42 annually) and Total Console System $297/month ($249.75 annually) with unlimited products and courses. There is no free trial; billing details are required at signup, with a 30-day money-back guarantee instead. No setup fees are listed.
Its entry price is the highest in this list, and the older profile notes reviewers describing the interface as dated. Habit tracking and daily check-ins are not documented.
Pick it over Coachful if you value a long track record in coach business software above a modern client app and habit features.
How do the features compare side by side?
Coachful is the only tool here that documents habits, daily check-ins, programs, courses, community, a website and payments together. Entries reflect what each vendor documents; "older profile" limits may have changed.

What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?
At 15 or more clients, the per-client tools climb fast while flat plans stay put. Figures are monthly list prices as listed in October 2026, before payment processing fees, for the cheapest plan that covers the client count.
| Tool | 5 clients | 15 clients | 40 clients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients |
| Practice Better (for reference) | $35 (Starter) | $69 (Professional) | $69 (Professional); $99 for evergreen programs |
| AttractWell | $69 | $69 | $69 (within 500 contacts) |
| Quenza | $25 | $50 | $50 (no payments) |
| Coach Recap | $29 | $29 | $79 |
| Merkora | $79 ($29 founder rate) | $79 | $79 |
| CoachAccountable | $40 | $120 | $250 |
| Paperbell | $97 | $97 | $97 |
| Satori | $33 | $49 | $49 |
| CoachVantage | $39 | $39 | $39 |
| Delenta | $29 | $49 | $49 |
| Simply.Coach | $29 | $49 | $69 |
| Coaches Console | $197 | $197 | $197 |
List price is only part of the bill. Most tools above leave you paying separately for a website, an email platform, a course host or a community, which is where Coachful's single subscription changes the total.
What do three realistic stacks cost per month?
An all-in-one setup usually beats a two- or three-tool stack once you add a website, email and a place for group members. These examples assume a holistic coach with about 15 active clients and one group program; the stacks are illustrations, not recommendations from the vendors.
| Stack | What it covers | What is still missing | Monthly list cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful alone | Website, funnels, email, booking, payments, agreements, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community | Clinical charting and insurance billing (not a coaching need) | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients |
| Paperbell + Quenza Growth | Booking, packages, payments, contracts and a simple site (Paperbell); worksheets and activities with a client app (Quenza) | Habit streaks, courses, community, email marketing; two logins for clients | $147 ($97 + $50) |
| Coach Recap Professional + Quenza Spark | Session records, booking, Stripe packs, check-ins (Coach Recap); up to 10 clients on worksheets (Quenza) | Website, email, courses, community; Quenza caps at 10 clients on Spark | $54 ($29 + $25) |
How would a holistic health coach set this up in Coachful?
Build the habit program first, then wrap the selling pieces around it, and hand the website and funnel to the white-glove team so you are not stuck on design. Here is an example: a coach launching a 12-week "Rooted Reset" program focused on sleep, stress and whole-food eating.
- Request the build. Use the white-glove form to ask for a calm five-page site, a free "7-day evening wind-down" guide funnel and a welcome email sequence. Attach your logo, photos and existing copy.
- Write the agreement. State plainly that coaching is not medical care, that you do not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and that clients keep their doctor informed. Send it with e-signature before the first call.
- Set up booking with intake questions. Add a free 20-minute discovery call with buffers and minimum notice, plus intake questions about goals, routines, current care providers and a short red-flag screen.
- Build the program. Twelve weeks, each with a weekly goal and two or three daily habits: morning hydration, a short walk after meals, a screen-free hour before bed. Turn on morning intention and evening reflection check-ins.
- Add the content. A short course for each phase (sleep, stress, food), recipe downloads, a guided breathing audio and, if you use it, meal plans from the Fitness & Nutrition pack.
- Open the cohort. Enrolling clients join the program's group automatically. Schedule a fortnightly group call as a video event.
- Price it. Create the offer with a pay-in-full option and a three-month payment plan through your Stripe account.
- Watch the statuses. Each Monday, check who moved to quiet or at risk and send a personal message before they drop off.
Red flags that need a referral to a doctor before or during coaching include chest pain, fainting, unexplained weight loss, blood in stool, signs of an eating disorder, pregnancy complications, a plan to change prescribed medication, or thoughts of self-harm. Your intake should name them and your agreement should say you will refer.

What mistakes do holistic coaches make when leaving Practice Better?
- Moving clinical records into a coaching tool. If you kept anything that counts as protected health information, keep it in a compliant system or archive it properly before switching.
- Exporting too late. Practice Better's per-client archive is emailed and kept for 48 hours (older profile). Request exports well before your billing date.
- Rebuilding sessions instead of programs. Most holistic clients change through daily routines. Design the habit layer first, then fit sessions around it.
- Underpricing because a tool is cheap. Software cost and coaching price are separate decisions. Set your price from your offer, time and market.
- Blurring scope in marketing. Words like "heal", "cure" or "treat" on a sales page can put you outside a coaching scope. Describe outcomes as habits and how clients feel.
Which Practice Better alternative should a holistic health coach choose?
Choose Coachful if you run habit-based programs and want the website, sales, delivery and group support in one login with your branding in the client's app. Choose Quenza or CoachAccountable only if you need a specialist worksheet or metrics tool and already have the rest; choose Coach Recap or Satori while you are tiny or still certifying. Stay on Practice Better, or another clinical system, if you are a licensed practitioner who charts, prescribes or needs a BAA. For the general version of this question, see Practice Better alternatives for coaches.
Frequently asked questions
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant for holistic health coaching?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA. It is built for coaching, not clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. If you are a licensed provider handling protected health information, keep that work in a clinical system.
Do holistic health coaches need charting software?
Usually not. Coaches keep session notes, goals and check-in data, not clinical charts. Charting matters when you hold a licence that requires medical records, such as a dietitian or naturopathic doctor.
Can I sell supplements or protocols through these tools?
The software will let you sell products, but recommending supplements as treatment can fall outside a coaching scope depending on where you practise. Check your certification body's guidance and local law, and refer health questions to the client's doctor.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a build service included on every plan. You describe what you want (a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or form), attach references, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include filming videos, logo design or running ads.
Which alternative is cheapest for a new holistic coach?
Coach Recap is free for up to 3 active clients, and Satori's Scholar plan is free for certification-stage coaches with pro-bono clients, as listed in October 2026. Both are light on programs and community, so expect to move once you launch a group offer.
Can clients track habits on their phone?
In Coachful, yes: clients tick daily habits, complete morning and evening check-ins and see streaks in the Coachful app with your branding. Paperbell is browser-only, and the older profiles for Satori and CoachAccountable list no native app.
Can I run a group reset program?
Yes, in Coachful a group is created automatically when clients enroll in a program, with a feed, group chat and video events. AttractWell and Delenta also offer group features; per-client pricing makes groups costly on CoachAccountable.
Does Coachful take a cut of my coaching revenue?
No. Since August 2026 there is a 0% Coachful platform fee; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing fees. PayPal is not supported.
Will my data come with me if I leave?
Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses), plus course exports. Check each other vendor's export options before you commit.
