10 Best Group Coaching Platforms for Career Coaches (2026)

10 Best Group Coaching Platforms for Career Coaches (2026)

The best group coaching platforms for career coaches handle the whole job-search cohort in one place: the free workshop that attracts people, the application and checkout that enrolls them, the weekly calls and resume sprints that deliver results, and the alumni space that keeps them coming back after they land a role. Most tools cover one or two of those stages well. The deciding question is how many logins you and your clients will juggle between week one and the offer letter.

Our pick is Coachful, because it runs the entire career cohort (booking, payments, agreements, a multi-week program with daily tasks and check-ins, a community, a website with funnels and email) under one login, with a branded client app. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the nine alternatives below, several of which beat it for specific setups. Each one is scored on what a career coach actually does with a group, not on generic feature lists.

If you want the broader category view first, our general guide to group coaching platforms compares tools across every niche. This article stays with career coaching: job-search accelerators, career-change cohorts, interview bootcamps, leadership transition groups and outplacement programs.

What does a career coach's group client journey actually look like?

A career coaching group moves through four stages: attract, enroll, deliver and retain. Each stage asks something different of your software, and the gaps between stages are where career coaches lose people.

Stage 1: Attract (workshops, lead magnets, LinkedIn traffic)

Career coaches usually fill cohorts from a free resource or a live session: a resume teardown webinar, a "career pivot in 90 days" checklist, a salary negotiation script. The platform needs landing pages, a lead capture form, an email sequence that follows up, and tracking so you know whether LinkedIn posts or a podcast guest spot filled the room. Without this, you end up stitching together a page builder, a form tool and an email service before a single person enrolls.

Stage 2: Enroll (applications, checkout, agreements)

Many career cohorts are application-based, because mixing a new graduate with a director-level job seeker rarely helps either. You need an application form, a discovery call booking page, checkout with payment plans (job seekers are often between paychecks), and a coaching agreement that sets scope before the first call. Scope matters here: career coaching is not recruiting or job placement, and a written agreement that says so protects you. Our guide to coaching contracts covers what to include.

Stage 3: Deliver (weekly calls, sprints, accountability)

This is where group career coaching differs from a course. The work is weekly: update the resume by Friday, send five tailored applications, book two informational interviews, rehearse the "tell me about yourself" answer. Clients need a clear weekly plan, daily tasks, check-ins that surface who is stalling, recorded group calls, worksheets and templates, and a place to share wins and ask questions. The coach needs to see, at a glance, which members are moving and which went quiet after a rejection. Our list of career coaching activities gives ideas for what to put in each week.

Stage 4: Retain (alumni, referrals, next offers)

A career client who lands a role is your best source of referrals and often a future client for a first-90-days or promotion program. You want an alumni community, an easy upgrade path to 1:1 sessions, and email that keeps in touch without being noisy. If you track ICF hours, group sessions also count toward credentials, so the platform should record them.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

How did we choose and rank these platforms?

We started from the four-stage journey above and asked, for each tool, how much of it a career coach could run without adding another product. Vendor facts come from each vendor's own pricing and feature pages as listed in October 2026 (Heartbeat and Teachable from pricing pages read today), and older profile data is labelled. Ratings come from public Trustpilot pages where we cite them. We did not run hands-on tests; this is a comparison of what vendors document and what public reviewers report.

Three things weighed most for career coaches specifically:

  • Between-session accountability. Job searches stall between calls. Tools that let you assign weekly tasks and see check-ins scored higher than tools that only host videos.
  • Per-client pricing at cohort size. A 30-person job-search cohort is cheap on flat pricing and expensive on per-active-client pricing.
  • Enrollment flow. Application, call, agreement and payment plan in one flow beats four separate tools.

Practice Better was considered but left out, because it is built around wellness and nutrition practice management (charting, telehealth) rather than career cohorts.

1. Coachful: the whole career cohort under one login

Laptop showing a client's enrolled group program in Coachful beside a highlighted job description
Coachful's client Programs view, showing an enrolled group program and its current week, on a laptop beside a marked-up job description.

Coachful is a coaching platform built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions. For a career coach running groups, that means the job-search accelerator itself lives in Coachful: a multi-week program with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits and morning or evening check-ins, delivered into each client's branded home and app. When someone enrolls in the program, Coachful creates the cohort group automatically, so there is no manual step of inviting people to a separate community.

How it handles attract and enroll

On the front end, Coachful includes a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixel and UTM tracking. A career coach can run a free "resume teardown" webinar funnel, follow up with a multi-step email sequence (triggers, delays, branching, A/B splits), and send qualified people to an application funnel for the next cohort. A link-in-bio page that sells is useful if most of your traffic comes from LinkedIn or Instagram.

Coachful Funnels page listing a free webinar funnel, a lead magnet funnel and a program launch funnel
Coachful's Funnels page with three demo funnels: a free webinar, a lead magnet and a program launch.

Enrollment runs through the coach's own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps and coupons, with a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026 (only processing fees apply). Payment plans matter for job seekers between roles. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record, so scope ("I coach your search; I do not place you in jobs") is agreed in writing. Booking pages handle discovery calls with time-zone detection, buffers and intake questions.

How it handles weekly delivery

Group calls and webinars sit alongside 1:1 sessions on one calendar with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync, and built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled, which helps attendance on interview-prep calls.

Coachful Squads view listing program-linked groups with member counts
Coachful's Squads view with demo program-linked groups and example member counts.

Between calls, each member sees their week: tailor three applications, update the LinkedIn headline, complete the values worksheet. Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking hold the self-paced material (resume frameworks, negotiation scripts), and downloads, videos and AI tools can be bundled in. Every client record pulls together goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. That status is the most useful thing for a career group: it shows who went silent after a rejection before they drop out.

Here is a walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered in Coachful:

Retain, and the extras career coaches use

The community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events give alumni a place to share offers and referrals. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it can draft the next cohort's emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before a call. An AI Coach, an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions, can answer "how do I phrase this gap in my resume?" at 10pm, within limits you configure. For ICF-credentialed career coaches, credential tracking counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports a client coaching log.

Pricing is flat and monthly: lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add coach seats with per-coach availability for career coaching firms (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). There is a free trial, and monthly plans cancel in one click.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, a career coach can choose "We'll build it for you" and describe what they need: a website, a webinar funnel, a cohort sales page, a program outline, an email sequence or an application form. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (your logo, headshots, existing workshop slides, current resume templates). The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours, and does not invent credentials, testimonials or prices; gaps are left for you to fill. In one recent build, a leadership coach with a website renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management. Read more about the white-glove service.

Where Coachful falls short

It is not a course marketplace, so it will not bring you job seekers the way a directory might. There is no multi-stage sales deal board or Salesforce or HubSpot integration, which matters for career firms selling outplacement contracts to HR teams. The affiliate program tracks links and conversions, but payouts to alumni who refer friends are recorded manually. There is no PayPal and no permanent free plan. 2. Circle: the strongest alumni community

Circle homepage as it appeared in October 2026, showing its main headline and sign-up call to action
Circle's homepage in October 2026.

Circle is a community platform with courses, events, live streams and paid memberships. If your career coaching business is built around a large, ongoing network (a job seekers' community, an alumni group of hundreds of career changers), Circle's spaces and moderation tools are among the most mature in this list.

For a career coach, the practical use is structure: one space for each cohort, a resources space with resume templates, an events space for weekly hot-seat calls, and a members-only job leads channel. Courses can hold self-paced modules. Paid memberships let you charge for access.

Price as listed in October 2026: Professional is $89/month billed annually (3 admins, 10 moderators, 2,500 AI credits a month), Business $199/month annually, Scale $419/month annually, and Circle Plus is custom-priced. Monthly prices were not shown on the page we checked. There is a 14-day free trial on Professional, Business and Scale with no card required. Circle adds a platform fee on payments: 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, 0.5% on Circle Plus, on top of Stripe processing. Trustpilot shows 4.1 from 129 reviews.

Limits for career coaching: there is no 1:1 scheduling or client management back office, so discovery calls, agreements and 1:1 upgrade sessions need another tool. There are no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans, which means you cannot see who sent their applications this week without asking. Branded mobile apps only come with custom-priced Circle Plus. For more community-first options, see our comparison of community platforms for career coaches.

Pick it over Coachful if your main product is a large paid community rather than a structured cohort, and you already have a separate scheduling and contracts tool you like.

3. Mighty Networks: community-led career networks with Mighty-branded apps

Mighty Networks homepage as it appeared in October 2026, showing its main headline and sign-up call to action
Mighty Networks's homepage in October 2026.

Mighty Networks combines community, courses and events in one product, with member apps that carry the Mighty brand. Career coaches who run a "network" style business, where members help each other with referrals and introductions, tend to like how it frames the community first.

A typical career setup: a free community tier for job seekers, a paid cohort inside it with a course and weekly livestream, and member profiles that let people find others in their target industry. Livestreaming is built in, with hour limits by plan.

Price as listed in October 2026: Launch is $95/month or $79/month billed annually (3 hosts, 10 moderators, 200 GB storage, 20 livestream hours a month for up to 100 attendees). Scale is $215/month or $179/month annually. Growth is $354/month billed annually, and Mighty Pro is custom-priced. The trial is 14 days with no card, and includes Growth plan features. Mighty takes a platform fee on sales: 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale, 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing. Trustpilot shows 3.3 from 219 reviews.

Limits: no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. If you sell 1:1 interview prep on top of the cohort, you will run it elsewhere. Your own branded apps only come with custom-priced Mighty Pro. The livestream attendee cap on Launch (100) is plenty for most career cohorts but worth checking for large free workshops.

Pick it over Coachful if member-to-member networking is the core of your offer and you want livestreaming built into the community from day one.

4. Kajabi: for course-first career programs with heavy marketing

Kajabi homepage as it appeared in October 2026, showing its main headline and sign-up call to action
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. Career coaches who have a signature self-paced program (a resume and LinkedIn course, say) and want to sell it at volume with a group layer on top often consider Kajabi first.

It handles the attract stage well: website, landing pages, funnels and email broadcasts in one place. Courses and a community cover the content side of delivery. For a cohort, you would sell the program, drip modules weekly and host group calls through the community.

Price as listed in October 2026: Basic is $179/month or $143/month billed annually (5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 0 AI credits). Growth is $249/month or $199/month annually (50 products, 25,000 contacts). Pro is $499/month or $399/month annually. The standard trial is 14 days; a card is optional, and if entered Kajabi places an authorization hold. Kajabi Payments in the US is 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic; other providers (excluding PayPal) add a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. Trustpilot shows 3.4 from 2,347 reviews.

Limits for career cohorts: coaching in Kajabi is products and communities, not per-client plans. There is no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, so the "did you send five applications this week?" loop runs on trust or a spreadsheet. The Basic plan's 5-product cap fills quickly if you sell a cohort, a course, a mini-workshop and 1:1 add-ons. It is also the most expensive starting point in this list.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is mainly selling self-paced career courses at scale, and group coaching is a smaller add-on. Our course platforms for career coaches guide goes further into that use case.

5. Simply.Coach: contract-led programs with sponsor tiers

Simply.Coach homepage as it appeared in October 2026, showing its main headline and sign-up call to action
Simply.Coach's homepage in October 2026.

Simply.Coach is a coaching practice platform covering contracts, programs, sessions, booking pages and a client portal, with business and enterprise tiers. It is the closest substitute in this list for structured career coaching, especially for coaches doing sponsored work, like outplacement programs paid for by an employer.

The contract and program objects suit career coaches who sell defined engagements: a 12-week career transition program with a set number of sessions. The business tiers add program managers and sponsors, which maps to an HR team sponsoring a group of departing employees.

Price as listed in October 2026: Starter $9/month (3 active coachees, 1 contract, 1 program). Essentials $29/month or $24.17/month annually (7 coachees, 3 contracts, 3 programs). Growth $49/month (30 coachees, 10 contracts and programs). Leap $69/month (unlimited coachees, contracts and programs). Business tiers: CoCreate $79/month per active coach (10 clients per coach) and Surge $159/month per active coach (25 clients per coach, 2 program managers, 5 sponsors). A 14-day trial, no card. Transaction fees are not stated on the pricing pages.

Limits: every solo tier below Leap caps clients, contracts and programs, and a single group cohort can use up a contract and program allowance fast. Automated invoices were marked "Coming Soon" on the solo pricing page. There is no website builder or funnel system listed, so attracting people for the next cohort happens elsewhere. No refunds for mid-period cancellations.

Pick it over Coachful if most of your group work is employer-sponsored and you need sponsor and program manager roles more than marketing tools.

6. CoachAccountable: accountability for small, high-touch groups

CoachAccountable homepage as it appeared in October 2026, showing its main headline and sign-up call to action
CoachAccountable's homepage in October 2026.

CoachAccountable is a coaching back office with sessions, action plans, metrics, worksheets, courses, invoicing and agreements. Its action plans and metrics are a natural match for job-search accountability: you can track applications sent, networking conversations held or interviews booked as numbers each week.

For a small mastermind (six senior professionals changing industries, for example) that depth of tracking is valuable. Worksheets can hold values exercises and career story drafts.

Price as listed in October 2026: priced per active client. Starter $20/month (2 active clients), Level 1 $40/month (5), Level 2 $70/month (10), Level 3 $120/month (20), Level 4 $250/month (50), Level 5 $400/month (100). A 30-day trial with no card and no limits. Transaction fees are not stated on the pricing page; processor fees apply. Trustpilot shows 4.8 from 47 reviews, the highest rating in this list.

Limits: per-active-client pricing gets expensive for career cohorts: a 40-person job-search group lands on Level 4. There is no native mobile app, and no landing pages, website or marketing automation according to an older profile, so filling the next cohort runs on other tools. It also states it is not HIPAA compliant (older profile), which matters less for career coaching than for health niches.

Pick it over Coachful if you run small groups, want detailed weekly metrics per client, and already have your marketing handled.

7. Satori: a low-cost back office for career packages

Satori homepage as it appeared in October 2026, showing its main headline and sign-up call to action
Satori's homepage in October 2026.

Satori is a coaching practice tool covering scheduling, a client portal, packages and programs, invoices and contracts. It suits career coaches who mostly sell 1:1 packages and want to add a small group offer without paying for a full marketing platform.

The Scholar plan is a useful detail for newer career coaches still earning a credential: it is free for unlimited pro-bono clients if you are studying for a coaching certification (you apply via a form).

Price as listed in October 2026: Scholar $0. Essentials $33/month or $27.50/month annually (up to 10 active paying clients). Pro $49/month or $40.83/month annually, and Leader $124/month or $103.33/month annually; older profile data puts Pro at 50 active clients and Leader at 150. A 15-day trial with unrestricted access and no card during the trial, plus a refund if requested within 30 days of signing up. Satori takes no charge on client payments; standard PayPal and Stripe fees apply.

Limits: only active clients count toward billing, but tiers cap them. Older profile data notes no native mobile app, no native Zoom integration, and no landing pages, courses or community, so the group delivery and alumni stages need other products.

Pick it over Coachful if you are mostly a 1:1 career coach, want the cheapest structured back office, and plan to keep group work small for now.

8. Heartbeat: a budget community with courses and events

Heartbeat is a community platform with channels, courses, events, documents and landing pages. For a career coach who wants a branded job-search community with self-paced material and live sessions, at a lower entry price than Circle or Mighty Networks, it is a reasonable option.

The Build plan includes unlimited channels, courses, events and checkout pages, a custom domain, Zoom and Google Calendar integrations, member badges and a member directory. That directory is handy for career groups where members want to find others in their target industry.

Price from Heartbeat's pricing page, October 2026: Build is $49/month or $40/month billed annually (up to 350 members, 5 automation workflows, 1 custom landing page, Heartbeat branding shown). Grow is $149/month or $124/month annually (up to 5,000 members, unlimited automations, 50 hours of native video hosting, branding removed). Scale is $849/month or $766/month annually, with a white-label branded app. A 14-day trial, no card. Heartbeat charges a transaction fee on top of Stripe processing: 5% on Build, 2.5% on Grow and 1.25% on Scale.

Limits: the 5% transaction fee on Build is the highest percentage in this list after Skool Hobby, and it adds up on a cohort priced in the hundreds per person. Native video hosting is a $19/month add-on on Build. As a community product, it has no 1:1 client records, check-ins or contracts listed on the pricing page.

Pick it over Coachful if you want a low-cost, community-first space for a modest-sized group and are comfortable paying a percentage on sales instead of a higher subscription.

9. Skool: simple, gamified groups

Skool homepage as it appeared in October 2026, showing its main headline and sign-up call to action
Skool's homepage in October 2026.

Skool puts a community, a classroom and a calendar into one group, with leaderboards that reward participation. A free-to-join group can act as the top of a funnel, with a paid cohort sold inside it.

The appeal is simplicity: there is not much to configure, and members know where to find posts, lessons and the next call. Gamification can nudge job seekers to post their weekly wins.

Price as listed in October 2026: Hobby $9/month ($7.50 annually) and Pro $99/month ($82.50 annually), both with unlimited members, courses, videos and live calls. "Try for free" buttons appear, but trial length and card requirements are not stated. Payments run only through Skool Payments: Hobby charges 10% + 30¢ on all transactions; Pro charges 2.9% + 30¢ up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900. Fees are non-refundable, and payouts are weekly. Trustpilot shows 1.6 from 54 reviews.

Limits: no custom-domain website, funnels, email automation or public API. No 1:1 client records, intake forms, habits or check-ins, so it cannot show you who is stuck in their search. A premium cohort priced above $900 per person falls into the higher Pro fee band.

Pick it over Coachful if you want the simplest possible no-cost community to build an audience, and you are fine with Skool Payments as the only checkout.

10. Teachable: self-paced career courses with a group layer

Teachable is a course platform with sales pages, checkout, upsells and student apps for iOS and Android. Career coaches use it to sell self-paced programs (resume writing, interview mastery) and sometimes add live group calls outside the platform.

It sits last here because group coaching is not its focus: it is strong at selling and hosting a course, but delivery of a live cohort, with calls, accountability and a member space, mostly happens in other tools.

Price from Teachable's pricing page, October 2026: Starter $39/month or $29/month billed annually (5 products, 7.5% transaction fee). Builder $89/month or $69/month annually (10 products, 0% transaction fee, affiliate program). Growth $189/month or $139/month annually (50 products, course certificates, branding removed). The plan cards list a 7-day free trial and a 30-day guarantee, though a banner on the same page offered an extended 30-day trial. Card processing is 2.9% + 30¢ for US cards and 3.9% + 30¢ for international cards.

Limits: the 7.5% fee on Starter is steep for a cohort. Products are capped by plan. There is no 1:1 scheduling, client check-ins or community comparable to the dedicated tools above.

Pick it over Coachful if your career offer is mainly a self-paced course and you want polished student apps without building a coaching program.

What does each platform cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Prices below are monthly list prices as listed in October 2026, before payment processing. Where only annual billing was shown, we used the annual monthly rate. Platform fees on payments are noted separately because they scale with your cohort price.

Tool5 clients15 clients40 clientsPlatform fee on sales

Teachable$39 or $89$39 or $89$39 or $897.5% on Starter, 0% on Builder

As an illustrative example, take a 15-person cohort at a $600 program price, so $9,000 in sales. A 5% fee on Heartbeat Build would add $450 for that cohort, a 2% fee on Circle Professional or Mighty Launch would add $180, and Skool Hobby's 10% would add $900 plus per-transaction charges. Those fees often matter more than the subscription. If you are still setting your cohort price, see how much career coaches charge.

Should you go all-in-one or assemble a stack?

An all-in-one platform usually costs less and is simpler for clients once you add up the tools a career cohort needs. An assembled stack can make sense if you already love one specialist tool.

Monitor showing Coachful's monthly sessions calendar beside a headset and wall planner
Coachful's sessions calendar with 1:1 sessions and recurring group calls, on a monitor beside a headset and planner.

Recipe A: all-in-one in Coachful

Website, webinar funnel, application form, booking, checkout with payment plans, agreements, the 8-week program, cohort community, group calls and alumni email all live in one account. Cost is one subscription (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients), and Coachful's platform fee on sales is 0%. Clients have one branded app, and you have one login.

Recipe B: back office plus community plus course

An example assembled stack: Satori Pro for scheduling and contracts ($49/month), Circle Professional for the cohort community ($89/month billed annually, plus a 2% platform fee), and Teachable Builder for the self-paced modules ($89/month). That is $227/month before email marketing and a website, and clients log into three places. You also need to keep enrollment in sync by hand or through automation.

Recipe C: free community funnel plus accountability back office

A free-to-join Skool group on the Hobby plan ($9/month) to attract job seekers, plus CoachAccountable Level 3 ($120/month for 20 active clients) for the paid cohort's action plans and metrics. That is $129/month, with Skool's 10% fee applying to anything sold through it, and no website or email automation included.

For more combinations aimed at the whole business, see our roundup of the best software for career coaches and our buying checks for career coaching software.

How do you set up a job-search cohort in Coachful, step by step?

Here is how a career coach might set up an 8-week job-search accelerator. The names and numbers are examples.

  1. Request the build. Use "We'll build it for you" on the Create page to ask for a cohort sales page, an application funnel and a five-email webinar follow-up sequence. Attach your current workshop slides and headshot.
  2. Create the program. Set eight weeks with a weekly goal each (week 1: target role and story; week 3: resume and LinkedIn; week 5: networking; week 7: interviews and negotiation), with daily tasks like "send two tailored applications".
  3. Add check-ins. Turn on a short evening check-in ("What did you send today? What blocked you?") so the client record shows who is going quiet.
  4. Attach content. Add a short course with your resume framework, downloadable templates and a values worksheet. Drip modules to match the weeks.
  5. Set up the enrollment flow. Application funnel, then a discovery call booking page with intake questions, then checkout with a three-part payment plan, then the coaching agreement for e-signature.
  6. Schedule group calls. Create a weekly group call on the calendar with auto-created Zoom or built-in video links and SMS reminders.
  7. Open enrollment. When people enroll in the program, the cohort group is created automatically for discussion and wins.
  8. Plan the alumni path. After week 8, move members to an alumni community and send an email offering a first-90-days follow-up program.

How do you migrate a career cohort without losing momentum?

Move between cohorts, not in the middle of one. Job seekers already deal with uncertainty, and a platform change mid-search adds friction at the worst time.

  • Time it to the next intake. Run the current cohort to the end on your old tools and launch the next one on the new platform.
  • Export first. Pull client lists, notes, recorded calls and templates out of your old tools before you cancel. In Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.
  • Move alumni deliberately. Send alumni one clear invitation to the new community with a reason to join, like a monthly job-leads thread.
  • Redirect your links. Update the link in your LinkedIn featured section and email signature on launch day.
  • Check payment plans. Active installment plans usually stay with the old processor until they finish.

Our full checklist is in how to switch coaching platforms without disrupting clients.

Which mistakes do career coaches make when choosing a group platform?

  • Choosing a community tool for an accountability problem. A busy feed does not tell you that a member has sent zero applications in two weeks.
  • Ignoring platform fees. On a premium cohort, a 5% to 10% fee can cost more than a year of subscription.
  • Using per-client pricing for big cohorts. It works for six-person masterminds and gets expensive for 40-person bootcamps.
  • Skipping the agreement. Without written scope, clients may expect job placement or recruiter introductions you never promised.
  • Blurring career coaching and counseling. When a member's distress goes beyond career questions, refer them to a licensed professional. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics describes the licensed career counselor role, and this overview of career counseling explains how it differs.

What is the verdict?

For most career coaches running group programs, Coachful is the best fit because it covers attract, enroll, deliver and retain with one login, adds the weekly tasks and check-ins that keep job searches moving, charges no platform fee on sales, and comes with a free white-glove build. Circle and Mighty Networks are stronger for large community-led businesses, Kajabi for course-first sellers, and Simply.Coach for sponsor-funded outplacement work. CoachAccountable suits small, metric-heavy groups, and Satori, Heartbeat, Skool and Teachable suit narrower, lower-cost needs.

Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs: it covers booking, payments, agreements, programs with check-ins, courses, community, website, funnels and email. It does not offer PayPal, a permanent free plan, HIPAA compliance or a CRM deal board for large sales teams. To start, take the free trial and request the white-glove build for your first cohort's pages. See also group coaching software.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best group coaching platform for career coaches?

Coachful is our pick for most career coaches because it runs the full cohort, from webinar funnel to alumni community, under one login with weekly tasks and check-ins. If your business is mainly a large paid community, Circle is a strong alternative.

Can I run a job-search cohort on a community platform alone?

You can, but community platforms like Circle, Mighty Networks, Heartbeat and Skool do not list per-client check-ins or contracts. You would need another tool for discovery calls, agreements and tracking who is actually sending applications.

How many people should a group career coaching cohort have?

There is no standard number. Many coaches keep hot-seat style cohorts small enough that everyone gets airtime on each call, and run larger groups as workshops. Test with a pilot before committing to a size.

Do group sessions count toward ICF credential hours?

ICF has its own rules for how group coaching hours count, so check the current requirements with ICF. Coachful's credential tracking counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports a client coaching log. Our guide to platforms for ICF coaches covers this further, and ICF publishes its core competencies.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

From the Create page, you describe what you want built (a website, funnel, sales page, program, email sequence or form) and attach links and files. The Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours, and leaves gaps rather than inventing testimonials, credentials or prices. It is free on every plan.

Which platform has the lowest fees on cohort sales?

Among the tools here, Coachful charges a 0% platform fee and Satori takes no charge on client payments, so only processing applies. Teachable Builder also lists a 0% transaction fee, and Kajabi adds no extra fee when you use Kajabi Payments. Skool Hobby at 10% and Heartbeat Build at 5% are the highest.

Is per-client pricing a problem for group career coaching?

It can be. CoachAccountable, for example, moves from $120/month at 20 active clients to $250/month at 50. For a large bootcamp, flat pricing usually works out cheaper.

Can employers sponsor a group career program on these platforms?

Simply.Coach has business tiers with program managers and sponsor roles, which fit outplacement work. In other tools you would usually invoice the employer directly; Coachful supports manual invoices alongside its checkout.

Do clients need to download an app?

It depends on the platform. Coachful clients use the coach's branding inside the Coachful app or the browser. Mighty Networks offers Mighty-branded apps, Teachable lists iOS and Android student apps, and Circle and Heartbeat offer branded apps only on their top tiers.

Should a career coach also offer 1:1 sessions alongside a group?

Many do, as an upgrade for members who want individual interview practice or negotiation prep. Choose a platform that handles both on one calendar, or plan for a separate scheduling tool. Our guide to scheduling software for career coaches compares options.
