Calendon vs Calendly: Which Fits Coaches Better in 2026?

Calendon vs Calendly: Which Fits Coaches Better in 2026?

Calendon vs Calendly comes down to one question: do you want the cheapest clean booking link, or a deeper scheduler built for teams and sales pipelines? Calendon is a small, low-cost tool whose Pro plan costs $5 a month or $48 a year, as listed in October 2026, and it covers paid one-to-one sessions for a solo coach. Calendly does far more scheduling (round-robin, routing, CRM sync, a notetaker) but charges per seat, from $10 a month billed annually for Standard.

Neither tool holds a client record, a coaching agreement, a program or anything that happens between sessions. That gap matters more to most coaches than the price difference between the two. Below we compare both tools feature by feature, show what each costs over a year, and explain when a third option, Coachful, replaces both. We make Coachful, so we say plainly where it is the better pick and where it is not.

What is the short answer for each kind of coach?

Pick Calendon if you are a solo coach who only needs a booking link that takes payment, and you want to spend as little as possible. Pick Calendly if you run a team, sell through a sales process with routing and CRM sync, or need integrations beyond Google. Pick Coachful if booking is only the first step of a coaching engagement you also deliver, bill and track.

  • Brand-new coach testing demand: Calendon Free or Calendly Free both work. Calendon Free gives you three services; Calendly Free gives you one event type.
  • Solo coach selling paid sessions: Calendon Pro is the cheapest way to take Stripe payments at booking. Calendly Standard adds PayPal and more integrations at roughly double the annual cost.
  • Coach using Outlook or Teams: Calendly. Calendon shows Microsoft Outlook and Teams as "Coming soon" in its app.
  • Small coaching team or agency: Calendly Teams for round-robin and routing, or Coachful's team plans if you also deliver programs together.
  • Coach running programs, packages or groups: Coachful, because neither scheduler holds programs, check-ins, habits, contracts or invoices.

If you want the long version on either vendor alone, read our Calendon review and our Calendly review.

How do Calendon and Calendly compare side by side?

Calendon is a booking-link scheduler with one paid plan; Calendly is a full scheduling platform with four paid tiers and enterprise add-ons. The table puts both next to Coachful.

Ranked by what decides a coaching practice: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build).

Two things stand out. First, Calendon's free plan is more generous on event types (three against one), while Calendly's paid plans reach much further. Second, both tools stop at the booking. Everything after the confirmation email happens somewhere else.

What does each tool cost, as listed in October 2026?

Calendon Pro costs $5 a month, or $48 a year ($4 a month); Calendly Standard costs $10 per seat per month billed annually, and Teams $16 per seat. Calendly's pricing page did not show billed-monthly prices when checked, so we only quote its annual figures.

Calendon reads its prices into the page with JavaScript, so the figures above come from the page code Calendon serves and from its own published summary, which agree with each other. Calendon's pricing page says it offers a free trial on Pro without stating the length; text inside the app mentions 14 days. Calendly's page did not show trial terms when checked; an older version described a 14-day Teams trial that drops back to Free. See our full Calendly pricing breakdown for the tier history.

What does a year cost in practice?

These are worked examples from the listed prices, not quotes:

  • One coach, paid bookings: Calendon Pro billed yearly is $48. Calendly Standard billed yearly is $10 x 12 = $120. Calendly costs $72 more a year for the same coach.
  • Three coaches who share round-robin booking: Calendly Teams is $16 x 3 x 12 = $576 a year. Calendon has no team plan or round-robin, so it is not a like-for-like option here.
  • Three coaches who also want meeting notes: Calendly Teams Plus is $24 x 3 x 12 = $864 a year.

Neither scheduler charges its own fee on payments. Calendon states "0% commission" and that booking revenue goes to your Stripe account minus Stripe's processing fee. Calendly documents no fee of its own; you pay Stripe or PayPal rates.

The bigger number is usually the rest of the stack. A scheduler alone leaves you paying separately for contracts, invoicing, a place to deliver programs, an email tool and a website. Our guide to managing client scheduling without Calendly walks through that math step by step.

How do booking pages and event types compare?

Both give you a branded booking page, but Calendon's free plan allows three services against Calendly's one event type. On paid plans, both offer unlimited event types.

Calendon calls event types "services" and lets you group availability into "schedules": two on Free, unlimited on Pro. Free includes buffer times and booking limits, plus your logo, cover image and tagline, with a "Powered by Calendon" badge. Pro removes the badge and adds a custom domain, a custom confirmation message and a redirect after booking.

Calendly Free covers one event type and one-to-one meetings only. Standard opens unlimited event types and up to six calendar connections. Teams adds managed event types, which let an admin lock a template across many coaches, and team scheduling such as round-robin.

For a coach with a discovery call, a paid single session and a package follow-up, Calendon Free already fits. On Calendly you need Standard for the same three event types.

How do calendar sync and video links compare?

Calendon syncs two-way with Google Calendar only; Calendly supports multiple calendar connections, with one on Free and up to six on Standard. That single difference rules Calendon out for many coaches who live in Outlook.

Calendon's booking links do not work for guests until Google Calendar is connected. Microsoft Outlook and Teams appear as "Coming soon" in the app. Google Meet links are created on Free; Zoom needs Pro.

If you keep a personal calendar, a family calendar and a work calendar, Calendly Free's single connection leaves the others unconnected, so check that before relying on it. Standard's six connections cover that setup.

How do payments for paid sessions compare?

Both take payment at booking on paid plans: Calendon through Stripe on Pro, Calendly through Stripe or PayPal from Standard up. Neither sells packages of sessions with tracked credits, payment plans or invoices.

Calendon has one coach-friendly detail: cancelling a paid booking issues an automatic full refund. That is convenient for clean cancellations, though coaches with a late-cancellation policy should check how it fits their terms. Calendly's PayPal option matters if many of your clients prefer it.

What both leave out is the commercial side of coaching: a three-month package billed in instalments, a session bundle that counts down, an invoice for a corporate client, a coupon for a returning client. For that you would add a separate payments or invoicing tool. Our page on coaching payment software covers what to look for.

How do intake questions and reminders compare?

Calendon allows one custom question per service on Free and unlimited questions on Pro, with text, dropdown and checkbox fields. Calendly supports booking questions too, but nothing beyond them: no intake questionnaire workflow, no contract, no client file.

Reminder emails are a Pro feature on Calendon. On Calendly, automations and reminders start on Standard. So on either tool, the free plan leaves no-show prevention to you.

Calendly reaches further on automation. Standard connects to HubSpot and Mailchimp, Teams adds lead qualification and routing plus Salesforce sync, and the Plus tiers add Notetaker and Callie, its email scheduling assistant. If your coaching business runs like a sales team, with a form that decides which coach takes the call, Calendly is built for that and Calendon is not. Our guide on automating client scheduling without Calendly covers the rules and exceptions coaches usually need.

How do teams and multiple coaches compare?

Calendly is the clear winner for teams: round-robin, managed event types, team analytics and volume pricing down to $12 per seat. Calendon lists no team plan.

Calendly's per-seat pricing means each coach on the team pays separately, and the costs scale linearly. Teams starts at $16 per seat for 1 to 30 seats billed annually, with lower tiers for larger teams. Enterprise starts at $15,000 a year with a 50-seat minimum, which is outside the range of nearly every coaching practice.

Calendon is built for one person. A coach planning to bring on an associate within a year should factor in a later switch.

What about data export, reviews and support?

Both let you leave: Calendon exports your profile, services and bookings as a JSON file, and Calendly exports scheduled events as CSV, according to an older version of its documentation. Calendon's features page says "Export or delete anytime, no lock-in."

On public reviews, the two are far apart. Calendly had a Trustpilot score of 4.1 from 714 reviews when checked in October 2026. We found no review-site profile for Calendon at all (its Trustpilot address returned a not-found page), so there is no public reviewer sentiment to report. That is not a sign of a bad product; it means you are relying on Calendon's own description and your own trial. A small vendor also carries more risk of changing prices or features with little notice, so keep your export handy.

What does the client experience look like on each?

On both, the client sees a booking page, picks a time, answers your questions, pays if required and gets a confirmation. After that, the client has no home with you on either tool.

Calendon's client flow is short and clean: one page, your branding, Stripe checkout on Pro, and a Google Meet or Zoom link. Calendly's flow is similar, with PayPal as a payment choice and, on team plans, routing that sends the client to the right coach.

Neither shows the client their next session alongside their homework, their goals, a contract to sign, a course to watch or a habit to tick off. Between sessions, clients rely on your emails, a shared document or a separate app. For a coach selling single sessions that is fine. For a coach selling a 12-week transformation, that is where clients drift.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

What does a typical coaching week look like on each?

On Calendon or Calendly, the booking is automated and almost everything else is manual. Here is an illustrative week for a solo coach with eight clients on a 12-week package, to show where the gaps sit.

  • Monday: a new client books a discovery call through the booking link. On Calendon Pro or Calendly Standard, they get a reminder email. You then send a contract from a separate e-signature tool and a payment link or invoice from another.
  • Tuesday to Thursday: sessions happen on Meet or Zoom. Notes go into a document or notebook. Homework goes out by email.
  • Friday: you check who did their homework by scrolling email threads, and chase the two clients who went quiet.
  • End of month: you reconcile Stripe payments against who is on which package, by hand.

The scheduler handled one step of that week well. The rest is spread across four or five places, each with its own login and, often, its own subscription. If that week looks familiar, the question is less "Calendon or Calendly?" and more "how many tools do I want to run?"

How hard is it to switch between them, or away from both?

Switching schedulers is easy because neither holds much data: your bookings already live in your synced calendar and your payments in your own Stripe (or PayPal) account. The work is rebuilding event types and updating every place your old link appears.

A clean switch usually follows four steps:

  1. Export what you have. Calendon's "Download My Data" gives a JSON file of your profile, services and bookings. Calendly exports scheduled events as CSV.
  2. Rebuild your event types. Copy names, durations, buffers, minimum notice, questions and prices exactly, so clients see no change.
  3. Run both for two weeks. Keep the old link live for bookings already made, and point new traffic to the new one.
  4. Replace links everywhere. Website, email signature, social bios, lead-magnet emails and any automated sequences.

Moving to Coachful adds one difference: you are moving more than a booking link. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove build can set up your booking page and website. For the scheduling rules worth copying across, see our Calendly alternatives for life coaches guide, which covers what to check before you move.

Which should you pick for which kind of coach?

Calendon fits the budget-first solo coach on Google; Calendly fits the team or the sales-led practice. Here is the decision by situation.

Pick Calendon over Coachful if...

Pick Calendon over Coachful if you only ever sell single sessions, you use Google Calendar, you need nothing after the booking, and the lowest possible monthly cost is the deciding factor.

Pick Calendly over Coachful if...

Pick Calendly over Coachful if your team runs a sales pipeline with routing forms that pick the coach from form answers, you need Salesforce or HubSpot integration, or your clients need to pay through PayPal. Coachful does none of those three.

Is there a third option that replaces both?

Yes. Coachful is a coaching platform where booking is one part of a single subscription that also covers payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, a website, email and an AI assistant. It suits coaches who deliver programs rather than only sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six tools.

Scheduling that matches both tools

Coachful's booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way sync to Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendars. Sessions get built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions and session credits, ask intake questions on booking, and assign multi-coach session types by round-robin or to the least busy coach. What happens after the booking

This is where Coachful and both schedulers part ways. A coaching agreement with e-signature goes out before the first call and is stored on the client record (see coaching contracts). Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time charges, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and an invoice per transaction. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.

Then the work itself: multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, progress bars and streaks. Each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you see who is drifting before they cancel. Clients get all of it in your branding inside the Coachful app.

Setup done for you

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can describe what you want built (a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline, an email sequence, a form) and attach up to 8 reference links and 10 files. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. A leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away, for example, got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. It does not cover recording videos, logo design or ongoing marketing. Read how it works in our white-glove service guide.

What Coachful does not do

Coachful is not a cheaper booking link. If all you need is a page that takes payment for a single session, Calendon is simpler and costs less. Coachful has no permanent no-cost tier, no PayPal, no routing forms that pick a host from form answers, and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration. It is not HIPAA-certified, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. The client app runs under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.

Frequently asked questions

Is Calendon cheaper than Calendly?

Yes. As listed in October 2026, Calendon Pro costs $5 a month or $48 a year, while Calendly Standard costs $10 per seat per month billed annually. Both have free plans, and neither takes its own cut of payments.

Does Calendon work with Outlook?

Not yet. Calendon syncs two-way with Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook and Teams show as "Coming soon" in its app. Booking links do not work for guests until Google Calendar is connected.

Which free plan is better for coaches?

Calendon Free allows three services and two schedules with Google Meet links, against one event type and one calendar connection on Calendly Free. Calendon Free shows a "Powered by Calendon" badge and has no reminder emails or payments.

Can I take payments on Calendon or Calendly?

Yes, on paid plans. Calendon Pro takes Stripe payments at booking, and Calendly Standard and above take Stripe or PayPal. Neither handles packages with session credits, payment plans or invoices.

Are there reviews of Calendon?

We found no review-site profile for Calendon when checked in October 2026, so there is no public reviewer sentiment to report. Calendly had a Trustpilot score of 4.1 from 714 reviews at the same time. Use Calendon's free plan to judge it yourself.

Which is better for a coaching team?

Calendly. Its Teams plan adds round-robin, routing, managed event types and team analytics, priced per seat. Calendon lists no team features.

Do Calendon or Calendly store client notes or programs?

No. Both are scheduling tools only: no client records, session notes, programs, habits or check-ins. Coaches who need those use a coaching platform such as Coachful alongside or instead of a scheduler.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a build service included on every Coachful plan. You describe a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or form, attach references, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It leaves gaps for you rather than inventing credentials, testimonials or prices.

Can Coachful replace Calendly entirely?

For most solo coaches and small teams, yes: Coachful includes booking pages, two-way calendar sync, reminders, paid sessions and round-robin assignment. It does not replace Calendly's routing forms, Salesforce or HubSpot sync, or PayPal payments.
